20 Best Pillow After Breast Reduction Surgery (2023 Updated)

I really wanted to love this pillow. I love the shape and how it curves around me. It’s amazingly comfortable. I had to adjust the stuffing to make it the perfect fit for me. There are easy directions and a video to show you how to do that.

It took about 2 minutes. It seems to stay cooler than my memory foam pillow. All in all it’s a great pillow. Now the one down side that I just can’t get past. It smells. a lot. I know that memory foam will smell for a day or so after you receive and unpack it but I’ve had this pillow for over a week and it still smells.

The directions say to leave it out in the sun for a day to get rid of the smell. I did that repeatedly. After 3 days outside in the sun and fresh air I still smell it. I’m sure the smell will fade in time and this will be the most amazing pillow ever when that happens but as of today I just can’t sleep with that memory foam smell.

I recommend this pillow if you want to wait a month or so airing it out before you use it. Otherwise try something else. I really look forward to the day when this pillow doesn’t smell any more so that I can sleep with it.

Well, I like that it’s rather firm. I’ve found that too sof a “memory foam” style just deflates as you press against it, right? It may bounce back to its original state but that’s not support to my way of thinking.

This pillow is just right for me. I have severe shoulder problems and spine issues so this lends support and a nice backdrop to preven me from rolling forward or backward, it’s a great help for keeping me in line through the night.

The zip off washable cover is a godsend, however the pillow itself is NOT WASHABLE. I cannot speak as to its comfort for pregnancy because I’m waaaay past that, but I look like I’m pregnant!! Lol! Good luck, the price is quite reasonable and you can zip off the one “arm” and use it in different ways!!.

This pillow was everything I was hoping and expecting it to be. It has given my back much better support, and the detachable part is nice to put in between my legs. Definitely takes up a good bit of space since I’m sharing a king size bed with my husband, two dogs, and cat, but it also helps force me to have my own space in the bed because our pets like to take up as much space as they can, lol.

The only “con” is that the full side is too heavy to put my arm underneath (that’s the most comfy way for me to sleep) because it will cause my arm to fall asleep. There’s a space on the other side, though, that allows for this (where you can detach part of the other side), so it works out fine.

I like to keep the detachable side closer to the edge of the bed so that I can easily move it to get up and pee in the middle of the night. Luckily, my preferred way to sleep is facing that side of the bed, so it works out well!.

I bought two of these as gifts. I received one as a gift about four months ago and it was a life changer for me! I bought these assuming they were going to come like the one I received. Same company manufacturer, etc.

However the two I bought as gifts did not come with a pillowcase. Where as mind did. that was a little bit offputting and confusing. But they enjoyed them nonetheless! The one I received as a gift came from a different business than I ordered from, but it was still the same pillow.

Perhaps that’s the difference?.

This pillow has really helped with the annoying tossing and turning trying to get comfortable throughout your pregnancy. It supports the back and relieves the pressure on your hips and knees. Highly recommend! Plus it’s not over sized, it fits nicely on my side of our queen bed.

I bought this 7 years ago when I was pregnant. I still use mine every night. I cant sleep well without it still to this day. My son and I have fought over it just the other night. When my son was a baby u used it as a boppy to prop him up and when I would breast feed.

Now that I have found it online I may purchase another one, even though not pregnant. Thank you so much to whoever invented this.

I received this product, and followed the directions for letting it return to its prepackaged condition. After allowing it time fluff, the first thing I noticed was that there was no smell, which is something you typically find with other memory foam pillows.

Next, I noticed how cool it was to the touch, and how silky the pillowcase is. While it does provide a nice neck support at first, the longer you lay on it, your body warms up, and then it becomes too soft for my liking.

I wish it would stay firmer, because when it’s cooler, it has the right amount of support, but after some time, it leaves more to be desired. It does great keeping your face off the pillow, but I have yet to be able to sleep on it for more than a couple of hours, as it’s so hard to break the habit of side/back sleeping.

I’m hoping this would be something I can break in the long run. For the meantime, I’ll use it as long as I can stand it, and transition to my regular pillow when I can’t stand laying on my back anymore.

This product is exactly as the description says. It’s cover is comfortable but I would still recommend a pillow case. The pillow itself is comfortable. In my opinion is would work better for a back sleeper as I didn’t think the cut out for the head was sufficient for a side sleeper.

This anti wrinkle pillow is really amazing. I have used many kinds of pillow but after using this one I really feel good. You have a good support from both the side and the firm is really nice. Not too hard pillow at all.

I tried this pillow at about 20 weeks when I started noticing some new aches and pains. Unfortunately, I didn’t love this pillow system. The wedge was tricky to position on the bed to then shimmy into place.

Once there, it still didn’t seem to add relief to my small bump. In fairness, maybe people like this more in the third trimester with a bigger bump. Rolling over in bed and having to move the pillow mid-snooze was the deal-breaker for me.

I only lasted 4 nights with the pillow and every night it would end up on my floor because I tossed it off the bed in the middle of the night. Now (at 23-weeks), I have the bbhugme pillow and I am SO much happier with it! I love the full-body support and that the firmness is adjustable.

It rolls with me in bed. It’s expensive but can also be used to help with nursing when baby arrives. I also hear good things about U-shaped pillows if you have a king-sized bed to fit it. Avoid the SOS Pillow and try something else.

The design is great, but I think it’s over priced for the materials used. I sleep leaning against the back portion and it is already very stretched out and exposing the scratchy velcro after 2. 5 weeks of use.

I’m hoping it’ll last me the rest of my pregnancy, but don’t anticipate being able to reuse it if I get pregnant again. I’d probably still buy it again (on sale) though because it really does help me sleep.

For now, I just put another small pillow in between to cover the exposed velcro.

I am typically a back or stomach sleeper so when I was told I should sleep on my side while pregnant it was a really difficult adjustment. I tried pillows and wedges but I would just push them out of the way in the middle of the night.

The SOS pillow gave me enough flexibility to feel comfortable but helped keep me in a safe position. It did make me a little stiff at times but I pushed through it while it was early in my pregnancy and the pillow trained me so now in the later part of my pregnancy I can comfortably sleep on my side.

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and suffer from quite a bit of joint and muscle pain. My neck is a big source of my pain so I started looking for a neck support pillow. I’ve tried many other different types of pillows before with success and first but failing after some time passes.

This pillow has actually reduced my neck pain quite a bit. The pillow was very fluffy at first but after about a month of use, it’s “settled” into its (probably) regular position. The pillow has one slightly longer side, so you can choose to sleep either “hugging the slightly longer side or leaning back onto the slightly longer side, depending on your sleep style.

I imagine that I’ll have to replace this pillow after some time passes, due to it getting flattened out, but that is normal for most pillows after awhile of continued use. I would recommend this pillow, especially given the price compared to that of other neck support pillow.

Also, it comes with its own unique pillow case so that was a nice touch, however, horseshoe shaped pillowcases are not a common thing!.

My sleep position is much more consistent now that my spine is more aligned. I used to move around a lot because one position would eventually just start hurting. My new pillow keeps me comfortable by keeping my back and neck straight.

This pillow is the best, most comfortable and supportive pillow I have ever had. It is so cozy, I can’t even wait to get in bed. It has changed my sleep pattern, A friend recommended this after I was in a car accident and I had neck and back pain.

I thought the shape of it looked crazy and didn’t think it would work. I was wrong. From the first night I loved it. In fact I tell everyone to get one. Made in the USA too.

I decided to try 2 of these out, one for my husband and one for myself and we both love them. Other body pillows were not firm enough for any real support or are just too big for the bed, but these are the perfect size and density and we’re already sleeping better.

The product is long like the picture but it is NOT as thick as picture. It’s maybe like 2 inches wide and can not be used for under the head or hardly even between the knees for side sleeping. The picture definitely is deceiving looking.

I like this pillow because it is a little firmer than regular body pillows. It seems to be longer as well. So far, it doesn’t flatten to a thin pillow like the other pillows I have owned. I have had several body pillows through the years and this one is my favorite.

this pillow is very well made, a quality product. I was dubious about the shape, the middle of the lower edge looks like someone took a bite out of it…. but this exactly turned out to be what I love most about the pillow.

I have a bad right shoulder-torn labrum and bursitis; and yet, that is my strongly preferred side for sleeping. The cut out is a perfect place to nuzzle my shoulder resulting in far less pressure than I would have if the pillow went under my shoulder and neck as is normal with pillows.

I now sleep through the night without waking from pain coming from the shoulder I am sleeping on as a side sleeper. I was surprised also by how much I liked the firmness as I have never slept with a firm pillow before.

It makes reading in bed at night particularly comfortable. I find I roll over to my back less with the nest pillow, but when I do, I find it supportive and comfortable. My only complaint is that I have been hesitant to experiment removing some of the foam to adjust the extreme firmness a small bit.

The pillow comes with no instructions regarding the best way to experiment with different fill amounts/different levels of soft/fs/firm, therefore I have been hesitant to experiment, not wanting to ruin this fabulous pillow, and as a result may not have found that sweet spot of firmness yet that other reviewers have talked about.

So, Nest, just Add fill adjustment instructions in the box when shipped and you will have a 5 star remarkable pillow for sure.

This pillow was a terrible fit for me. I bought it on the strength of the Wirecutter’s recommendation in the New York Times. It turned out to be so stuffed that it was not only generally uncomfortable but forced my head at an angle that I can’t see as safe.

It seemed better as a cushion for a very firm couch than as a pillow. It came with a small cloth pouch evidently for storing some excess filling, but when I removed enough to fill it, it hardly made a difference.

I removed more, filling a standard plastic shopping bag, and that was an improvement but I subsequently removed enough to almost fill a second of those bags. After that, it was not bad. I will note that removing the filling required unzipping the inner pillow and the zipper was so delicate and the filling so stringy that I don’t see how you can do it without having the zipper get too tangled up to move it back to the closed position.

After cleaning the zIpper head by hand as well as I could, I ultimately made use both times of a pliers to move it. (Anyone want some excess pillow stuffing?) In the past I have found Mr. Wirecutter reliable but I am mystified by this choice and am $100 poorer.

In the case of such a personal item as a pillow, I strongly recommend shopping in real life.

I wanted to love this pillow so badly given its great reviews and relatively high price tag. Unfortunately, no matter how much I adjusted the amount of fill inside, the pillow had a hard/firm feel to it after a few minutes of laying on it.

It seems that the fill compresses to the point where it’s too firm. Re-fluffing the pillow helps for a little while, but ultimately I end up waking up on what feels like a hard surface because the fill has compressed to a firmness that is no longer comfortable.

I have also had friends/family try the pillow out and most have agreed with my evaluation. I spent a few months with two of these pillows trying to adjust them to my liking, but unfortunately I just don’t think they are for me.

Though I am a few months outside the 30-day return window, I did try contacting customer service to ask about returning the pillows given what I’d consider an honest attempt at getting them to work. Unfortunately they are standing by their return policy, so I’ll be donating these to an animal shelter.

That said, if you do purchase one of these, make sure to evaluate a wide range of fill levels and make a decision within the 30-day return window!.

Pretty disappointed, really. First, it was expensive for a chuck of foam. Their margin must be incredible on this item. But it simply isn’t comfortable. I keep sliding down on the bed during the night.

And I prefer to sleep on my side, so the angle makes my hips ache. No returns on this item either. So, like it or throw it away. Guess I should be careful with my online purchases.

I sleep so much better now. I had my doubts at first but this wedge is the perfect height. I do have to let my bed sheet stay hook on it as it won’t stay on my mattress (I’m going to try hooks to see if that will work), but I do not wake up with acid reflux nearly as much as I used to, and even when I do it goes away more quickly.

I would say the cooling gel does seem to help quite a bit as well. If it didn’t have that, I am sure it would definitely be more warm. I do tend to slide down it during the night sometimes from moving around, and if anything that’s when the reflux sometimes appears.

So I shift myself back up and fall right back to sleep. One of the best purchases I have made in a very long time.

We placed our wedges between our mattress and box springs for a subtler incline and it has made a huge difference in reducing my husband’s snoring and acid reflux. I have allergies and asthma and find I wake up far less stuffy.

We both notice we sleep longer and deeper too. Highly recommended.

This review is for a sleep number curved comfortfit pillow. Was not available and would not accept my product scan. I bought 2 of these right after Xmas last year as they were on sale bogo and I couldn’t pass it up! I attached a photo of my extra one that I keep in its dust bag until I need it.

This is my favorite pillow ever! I am a side sleeper and this gives the perfect support. I no longer wake up with a kinked neck. I cannot say enough how much I love this pillow. It holds its shape too, just have to give it a shake once in a while.

Expensive but worth it!.

This is the second one I bought. My first one lasted almost 3 years. I have sever degenerative disc disease C1-C6 with a bulging disc that goes into my spinal column. I have tried over 30 pillows and THIS IS IT!! I wish the pillow part lasted longer, but definitely worth every penny! Thank you Core Products❤.

As is typical of cervical pillows, it may take some time to get used to. Have other pillows handy to switch out while you get used to this pillow. I also have a Core Tri-Core cervical pillow and have found this Cerv-Align pillow suits my current needs, as it is a slightly softer pillow.

I’ve used Indulgence pillows for as long as I can remember – well over a decade – for every bed in my home. On December 22, 2018, I ordered 4 more King pillows with the expectation they would be of the same density, quality, and endurance that all my previous Indulgence pillows have provided to everyone in my home – guests included.

Reading the reviews before purchasing, I noted several were very unhappy with the pillow and couldn’t imagine why until the new ones were delivered and I had a chance to use them. Within 3-6 months, the pillows were completely flat and required constant fluffing to have any type of support.

All of my Indulgence pillows prior to these 4 have always maintained their support and resilience regardless how long you slept on them. Just to be honest, the only reason I purchased new ones is because the old ones were just that “old” and thought it was time to refresh them even though there was absolutely nothing wrong with them.

Long story short, the new disappointing ones are sitting in a storage closet in the house and I went back to my tried and true old ones that continue to provide amazing support after many years. I only write this review 2 years later because I was debating on purchasing another 4 to replace the “old” ones and was reading the reviews to see if BB&B had actually got this quality issued fixed.

As is typical of most places, they pat themselves on the back for 79% great reviews but ignore the other ones that are giving constructive and helpful feedback regarding a once great product that definitely has no greatness left.

BB&B, I strongly recommend, based on my review and dissatisfaction as well as the many others noted, that you reach out to the Carpenter Company – the manufacturer of this pillow – and find out what the change was and why the significant overall decrease in quality before you lose more devoted customers of this product.

I assure you, your sales will increase for this product once you bring back the former quality of it’s predecessor. I’ll definitely buy 4 more King as soon as it happens!.

I bought my 5 piece set before my 2nd shoulder surgery as sleeping in the Lazy Boy the last shoulder surgery was so uncomfortable. What a game changer this has made to the quality of my sleep post-surgery! It has been perfect! Because I can adjust the elevation of the backrest, I can use it for both sleeping or watching TV.

I don’t use the headrest for sleeping (I’ve used a travel neck support for that), but find that I like I little extra support in the lumber area so I put it there. Also, I thought I would need the extra (5th) pad for an arm rest post shoulder surgery, but using the head rest as a lumbar support is plenty, and I haven’t needed the 5th pad.

I haven’t washed this yet, so can’t comment on the ease. I can’t recommend this product enough. In fact I have already passed along the good information to several friends who are going through similar or will be going through similar situations.

Suffering from chronic pain and other health conditions, I continuously fidget, struggling to find a comfortable position. For years, I’ve been using a pile of pillows to prop my head up during sleep for allergy and GERD issues. But, like another reviewer remarked, sometimes my head would get too low on the pillows and I’d wake up not able to breathe or with acid reflux.

So I decided to try these pillows for both my husband and myself. Our main complaint is that there isn’t any way to keep the large pillow from moving up or down while sleeping or when getting up and laying back down.

We would like to have some way to “set” the location of the main pillow so that it doesn’t move up and down so easily. Also, I found the neck pillow to be too firm and my head would just fall down when I tried to use it, although my husband is able to use his.

The neck pillow needs to have a “notch” cut into it so that your head can “fit” into it which would make it more comfortable. Also, I can’t use the knee pillow because laying on my back put all my weight on my lower back and caused pain from a lower back injury/surgery.

My husband also doesn’t use the knee pillow because it was causing knee pain due to knee issues. Soooo, I’m only using 2 of the 4 pillows and my husband uses 3 of the 4. That’s why I give them a “4. ” They’re generally better than a pile of pillows, but could use some “improvements” to make them more comfortable and easier to use.

I ordered this for one of my clients. We are still working on the positioning for the face cradle, but she likes it and will continue to use it with her.

Silly title, but I speak the truth! Sleeping on my back is uncomfortable because I always have an arch in my lower back thanks the the junk in my trunk. I suppose I should say sleeping on my back WAS always uncomfortable, because this pillow has changed everything! Putting this sucker behind my knees eliminates that pesky back arch allowing me to rest comfortably on my back without issue.

No more waking up with dents in my face from the pillowcase because I’m not sleeping on my face anymore! I wholeheartedly recommend this pillow for anyone with a rotund ****.

My experience with under knee support pillows has been subpar until now. This pillow is amazing! It doesn’t shift around. Prior experience had the pillows kicked off the bed or slid down to the bottom of the bed not to be found! I slept comfortably for the first time in years after ordering one.

You can also sleep with it between knees for slide sleeping position. It was easy to grab and adjust from one position to the other, even with back pain/tightness.

I have spent hundreds (!!) of dollars trying different side sleeper pillows in order to find one that works. I decided to try this one as it had a longer and narrower base with removable foam insert which would allow me to raise or lower the height for my neck.

There is plenty of room for my arm since it is narrow and long. Also, I am able to angle this horizontally or vertically since it is narrow for different head positions. Thank you Target for finding this!.

4 weeks ago I had the BBL, I loved the result but the post-operative is very uncomfortable, but when I use this pillow it helped me a lot. I was able to work and drive with the pillow.

The Ultimate ResponseFit Pillow smashed all my preconceptions about memory foam. I didn’t think I would like this pillow because I’ve never liked any memory foam ones that I’ve tried before, but boy was I wrong.

I love this pillow! Memory foam has always been too hard, too hot & too heavy for me. I was amazed at how soft this pillow felt compared to the memory foam ones I’ve tried in the past. The ResponseFit pillow cradled my head & neck without feeling like I was trying to sleep on a rock! It didn’t compact over night either, so it was just as soft when I woke up as it was when I went to bed.

This pillow didn’t make my head feel hot either! The ResponseFit pillow is definitely heavier than the down pillows I normally use, but the weight is not a problem after you put it on your bed. It’s just awkward when you are trying to put on a pillowcase! There is a slight odor to the pillow when you take it out of the package as is true with all memory foam ones I’ve tried before.

I unzipped the outer covering & washed it. I also let uncovered pillow air out overnight before using it. I put zippered covering back on & a regular pillow case over that. This pillow is adjustable, but I ended up using the pillow as is without taking out any of the layers.

I’m 5 ft tall with a rather short neck, so I thought I would need to take out at least one layer. However, the pillow was very comfortable sleeping on both my side and my back with all the layers, so I didn’t make any adjustments to it.

I bought this pillow on suggestion from a SN store. I am a side/back sleeper. I am tall and need more height on my pillow to help with shoulder pain. I thought this pillow would work well because of the height.

Despite its hefty weight and thickness it sleeps pretty flat. All 3 inserts seem to be the same density. I haven’t exchanged the pillow yet as we are waiting for our bed to be delivered and I am hoping the bed will also relieve some pressure on my shoulder.

In the meantime I purchased a thin pillow from another merchant to give myself some more height. The pillow is good quality, but like most specialty pillows is a few inches short of standard so I find it a little small.

I would not buy this pillow unless it was on sale from a value standpoint. A pillow is a very personal choice. This one is not exactly right for my needs, so don’t let that dissuade you from trying it out for yourself.

I received this pillow about a month ago to try out. I have always had a problem finding a pillow that worked well for me. In the past the pillows I have had were either too firm or too soft. I fell in love with one that I bought from Sleep Number about 3 years ago because I was able to add and remove sections inside that allows me change how soft or firm it was and thought I found the perfect pillow.

After tying the New ResponseFit Pillow I now have a new favorite. It shapes to my head almost immediately and the temperature is always just right. Never too hot or too cold. I first thought the weight of the pillow would be too heavy but after using it for a month now it is perfect.

Even when I turn during the night it is still in the same spot was it was when I went to sleep. I highly recommend this pillow for everyone who has problems finding that perfect pillow.
