I always try multiple car phone holders and they always are made out of plastic or some chip material that never last and never stay still or hold my devices, and I was sick of wasting money. !!! NOT ANYMORE !!! Bulletpoint is the solution and a very good one.

and maybe I will get 2 or 3 more things to have a better alternative for devices on my truck. SO WAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR TO GET YOURS!!!!!!!!!.

I have tried many different types of mounts and came across this mount and it is built like a tank. I’ve put 50,000 miles and not even a budge. I’ve crashed on the trails and I can always count on my phone being in the mount.

I find that the Otterbox Commuter case compliments the mount absolutely perfectly. Long story short, BUY this mount, it’s the best one out there!! If I had to say anything negative, it would be that, it will not fit any phone longer than a phone that is longer than 5.

5 inches. So all your regular Iphones will work. I recently changed my phone to Iphone 7 Plus which is 6. 23 inches long and WILL NOT fit. I just wish they built some adjustments to fit a phone that is slightly bigger than a standard phone.

That is my one and only gripe. I love this mount so much that I’m looking to change my phone to fit this mount, that’s how much I love it! Please do not compare this to the X-Grip. It’s a night and day difference.

I had X-Grip for a week and was so annoyed that I gave it away and thank God, I found this mount!.

I’ve seen other, more expensive units that just didn’t compare to this one. One great feature is the spring loaded retainer (the top part) which holds the phone very securely. I had my doubts until I actually received and used it, but the spring does in fact give a nice, tight fit.

Another is the four side retainers. They are individually adjustable for width and you can also move them to accommodate different button locations on your phone. In my example, I had to move the top, right one down to the middle position (white slot you can see in the photo) so I had access to the power button.

Something I never considered before purchasing. It was a pleasant surprise to see it could be moved. You’ll need a mounting bracket in order to mount it to what ever it is you’re mounting it to, but other than that, you’re good to go.

Good value for a magnetic phone holder. I have a top name unit on one of my vehicles and decided to try this one out on another vehicle. This works fine. Doesn’t seem as sturdy as the other one, but no real complaints.

I love my GOXT phone holders! They are easy to mount, lightweight, hold my phone securely, and have a sleek design. They are the only phone holders I purchase.

This phone holder is the only one that I have found that finally works with no issues, Ive been through probably 5 different designs an they always have a problem. Phone falls off the vents, or the suction cup wont stay in place, or if you have a case like mine (Otter Box) the holders fall down or fail to stay in place.

This magnetic holder is super easy to set up, stays in place where you mount it an Ive yet to have it fall off the holder while driving even on rough terrain.

So far the case is holing up and working as advertised, but have two issues. I wear A wide 1&1/2” belt and the belt clip must be designed for much wider belts cause it just flops all around and it. feels like it will fall off with my phone although it never has.

It is actually difficult to take off so doubt that it will come off it just feels that way and allows the phone to flop around and hang away from my body. The second issue is actually attaching the phone to the belt clip.

The magnet does not automatically catch in the square recess and without using both hands in some cases it seem almost impossible to line up and attach the phone. Once connected and locked in, it holds the phone very securely.

The way the phone hangs once in the clip the screen protector is exposed to being scratched fairly easily. I already have several. deep scratched.

I’m a Lifepoof case owner 4-times over and have upgraded each time a new case (or Touch-ID feature) comes out and I need flawless protection including workouts and desert conditions. In spite of this, I must say I’m extremely disappointed with the latest iteration of the Quickmount and quick-release tabs.

The suction is great, and the ball-and-socket joint is great. Unfortunately, that’s where the greatness ends. I understand that for a quick release mechanism to be reliable during thousands of lock/unlock cycles it can’t always hold firm.

However, this feature is expected of modern iPhone holders or arm-bands. Although the mechanism is secure, the iPhone wobbles, causing driver distractions, or excessive jiggling when running. Additionally, the adhesive failed only a week after installation on LifeProof’s own case design.

The previous suction mount had clips at both ends of the phone and was great for repeatedly locking/unlocking a device in the car. On the iPhone 6S Plus, with proper windshield placement, the phone is so large that you have to undo the suction mount every time you want to get the phone out.

If you were able to use the quick-release mechanism, the phone would have to be mounted so high that it would block your view of the road. definitely unsafe. Please bring back the old suction mount for the 6S Plus (and other large devices), otherwise I will have to choose another company’s mounting solution.

I am a returning customer and believe in the Lifeproof concept. For this I use the accessories because they compliment the cases. well, I tried to anyway. I have purchased the older suction mount and decided to “upgrade” to this suction mount because they don’t sell the old belt clip.

So I had to upgrade everything. MISTAKE. Here is what I discovered: The suction mount works great. It allows freedom to move and adjust the phone just how you need/want just like the previous mount. When trying to connect my phone to the mount, you can’t see where the block is on your phone and where the small square receiver is located.

YOU HAVE TO GUESS When you do figure it out, there is NO tactile feedback that it IS secure. I keep this in the far left of my windshield next to the windshield trim. This mount requires you to turn your phone counter clock wise to dis-engage the phone from the mount.

DISENGAGING THE PHONE FORCES THE PHONE TO HIT THE WINDSHIELD TRIM. I had to move the mount to the right, well into my line of sight on my windshield; its dangerous. In short, mounting the phone to the suction mount is difficult, counter clockwise dis-engage action and overall functionality are really disappointing.

I’m asking for a full refund.

The only good news about this is you can contact RAM mount and get replacement ball mounts when they wear out; in my case that was every two weeks riding once daily for 20-30 miles a day. This is a flawed system.

I had it a week before the ball that holds the x-cradle on wore down and consequently my phone would flop around like a bobble head. After replacing it numerous times, and having my phone fall off my bike at 35 miles an hour, I decided to convert it to double socket arm.

Again, to their benefit, RAM mount sent me out a RAM 1” ball, RAP-B-366U, that’s for a camcorder. I removed the stud for mounting the camcorder and attached it to my current tough-claw. Because it wasn’t part of my original mount I purchased the double arm socket, and after not hearing back for RAM mount about exchanging my current x-grip for one with a ball mount I purchased it as well.

My current system works, but in the end it cost twice as much as if I’d gone for the double arm initially. Don’t wast your time on this. Still waiting to hear about a replacement x-grip, now two weeks.

Guess no luck regarding that exchange, but they usually are quite expedient when answering emails. Hope this helps.

Works good on an iphone 6S The Ram Tough-Claw with X-Grip comes in a couple sizes. the small works perfect for the iphone 6S. I gave it only 4 stars because the X-Grip will push your power or volume buttons when placed in the mount.

Once you know where to place it. the buttons are not an issue. The X-Grip holds the phone securely and seemingly has no vibration on my Thruxton, Harley and even on my CRF450 X on fire roads. I have ridden well over 100mph as well as off road with no problems.

The claw mount grips your handlebars and many other surfaces firmly and is easy to take on and off. Mine came with a rubber tether that will give you added security form falling off. I have never used mine.

The first time I used the mount. I went offroad and forgot the tether. after that. I didn’t think it was necessary. The small size is what you need for most mounting applications and the Iphone 6S. It will mount to your handlebars as well as many other surfaces.

they don’t have to be round.

The good: It held my iPhone just fine for road based use. The bad: it fell apart after about two years. The “RAM” button popped off and along with it the 4 arms that hold the phone. Plastic welds had failed.

This was basically unrepairable. In the junk it went. Not a good use of money.

I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase. The quality of parts and ease of assembly is nothing short of what I have come to expect from this manufacturer. A very good product that works as advertised at an affordable price.

Possibly even more satisfying than the actual product was the exceptionally fast service from Hurtlegear. The turn-around was lightning quick. Product was adequately packaged and arrived undamaged. I really appreciate the swift service.

Haven’t quite worked out what the rubber webbing is for, so I just placed it on the X-grip so that it acts like a hammock. The clamping force seems more than adequate. Have not put it through the wheelie test just yet, but I’m quite confident it would endure it.

Ever been out on a ride and you don’t know where you’re going? You stop, you fumble for your phone in the top inner pocket of your jacket. You get your bearings, put the phone back, then wonder is it right or left at the 3rd corner?Wonder no more.

I mounted the RAM in about 3 minutes. I lost one of the rubber covers for the ends of the U bolt while installing. That will teach me to be more attentive. I wasn’t convinced the rubber net would hold the phone within the claw, but it does, even at 110KPH.

The Zthou has never been more practical. Satnav chows down on the battery so make sure you take an external recharger with you. The unit will take an all-weather cover for your phone if you’re the kind of chap who fancies getting wet and cold.

Thank you Hurtle Gear and RAM Mount. Excellent service and an excellent product. I recently purchased a RAM-B-1497-UN10U for my son-in-law to mount on his Royal Enfield Himalayan. I have had one for several years previously on my BMW and now on my Africa Twin it has been on one or other of my bikes for close on 60,000km around Australia, into the centre and Cooktown to Wilson’s Promontory on all manner fo roads and tracks and held my iphone 5 and now 7+ securely every inch of the way.

These RAM mounts are the best there is. Hurtle Gear very efficient with the supply and delivery to Qld from WA. I ordered the afternoon before Xmas and it arrived the first business day after Xmas, how good is that.

I bought this Ram mount system for a trip out to the east coast with the specific purpose of using this mount to hold my phone so I could use my GPS navigator. It mounted to my Roadking bars without any issues and I was pleasantly surprised at the spring tension built into the unit.

The clamping force was fantastic and it held by device securely in place without any doubts that I had made the right purchase. This mounting system combined with a waterproof hard case worked well beyond my expectations.

Construction zones, pot holes and rough terrain were no match for this mounting system. If I had to speak of any negative aspect of this mounting system, it would be that I wished the folks at Ram made a clip on sun shield of some sort to cast a shadow over the mount.

My phone screen was hard to see at times due to sun reflections but that was expected. Final statement is this, it’s not very often a product over exceeds your expectations but this one did and I don’t regret buying it.

This thing is quite good for my stupidly long phone. It holds it very securely and the little arms can be moved to different spots so they don’t interfere with buttons. I would trust it even without the side arms, because it holds very well from the top and bottom.

The construction is very sturdy, and it’s a top quality product. I blasted down the highway for 1000s of kms without issue. You don’t have to fuss with rubber bands or anything like with the x mount ones.

I’ve been using RAM products for years, this is the first time I have used this phone holder though. Like every RAM product it’s a quality product. Before this I was using the RAM Xgrip. Unlike the Xgrip you can insert and remove your phone with one hand.

That was the number one reason I purchased this phone holder, it works great for my needs. Like every Ram product, it has a lifetime guarantee. Well made and adaptable but, in my case, didnt fit the cup holder quite as well as I had hoped. The vehicle its installed in is a Toyota RAV4 so, not anything unusual. Pretty main stream I would think.

I tried all of the cup adapter options but, none were quite right. In addition, the dash shape somewhat impeded the option for tilting of the phone and, which way it could be turned. Having stated the above, I ultimately (through sheer experimentation) found that it worked well if the phone was mounted upside down and tilted so that it was resting on the center council break handle.

This also directs the microphone more toward the driver rather than down, which is helpful. This was a gift for my Wife and, like me, she was hoping it would work for her as advertised but, seems happy with the solution we came up with.

A little more cumbersome but, it works. Better that constantly trying to find a good spot to set the phone.

Fits iPhone SE (2020) plenty of travel for bulky cases to fit with ease. I have various RAM products utilizing 1. 5 balls in my tractor, will have to see how well the 1 balls hold up to potentially jarring terrain.

I went with the ratchet style arm for more flexibility and I expect the combination to be reliable like my other mounts.

Perfect mount to utilize on my motorcycle. I have used the x-grip in the past and the x-grip would press side buttons on the phone and not provide the best confidence on holding the phone( I have seen numerous phones fall out after rough bumps or high winds).

This mount is very clean, locks the phone to the mount, and quickly disconnect with a twist. Thank you Rokform for another great product. I highly recommend.

This was the third mobile phone mount I purchased. 1st one said it would stick to any surface which it didn’t. Second one anchored itself in the cigarette lighter. That put it at a weird angle to view, was very shaky when driving and when removing it, it pulled the cigarette lighter housing right out of the dash.

This one, although not as hidden as the other two is as strong and stable as an anchor. The arm is solid so doesn’t look cheap like some of the goose neck versions do. Love the button on the back that slowly releases the holders on each side of your phone and then the ratcheting device that lets you set your phone in the cradle and then hold it securely.

This is much better than most of the other holders that make you use two hands to pull the spring loaded arms apart. Like this holder so much, I wish I had more things to do on the phone when I’m in the car.

Although it’s on the more expensive side of the spectrum, in this case you get what you pay for.

The phone holder’s long and fairly strong arm makes it a product you can use in passenger cars as well as in trucks. Even in my hulking F250, the extension is long enough to attach it to the windshield and reach well past the dashboard to near the steering wheel.

Suction cup is plenty strong enough to hold it, but it definitely does need the supporting stand to keep the phone reasonably steady. The only thing I wish were different is the cradle depth. with a protective sleeve on the phone, the phone sits very far forward on the bottom pegs, and I would not trust it in very rough conditions.

But, to its credit, the holder has not yet released and dropped the phone under normal driving conditions. When empty, the holder rattles – the side arms need to be completely closed for the rattling to stop.

Very nice product , shapes well and holds the phone steady . Would recommend this product to everyone .

So I’ve used a CD slot magnetic mount for years; loved it. But bought a fancier case I didn’t want to mar with the metal plate; so bought this fancy extendo- one for my dash and a simpler select dash suction mount for our other car.

That one, though buikier installed and stayed easily and with the button that releases the hold on the phone, is truly a one button product. THIS EXTENDO was harder to install. even with the extra grip disk; and after following directions and mounting properly 2 problems emerged: 1) while described in ads as one-hand use, simply inserting the phone in case to move the movable side a bit, did not work–I had to use two hands for the phone to be held right.

and then 2) next morning, for some unknown reason, the disc AND the extendo holder had both fallen off my dash separately overnight. Disk went down to the passenger side and the extendo to the driver’s side floor.

As a big fan of Scosche till now this one was pricey and hard to install, hard to put the phone into and hard to stay put. Disappointing.

Okay, so I have two vehicles – one has Apple Carplay, one does not. I got this for the car that does not have Apple Carplay that way I can have better access to my phones navigation when I’m driving.

I don’t know if it was becase of how my dahsboard was or what, but it took about four or five tries to get this to stick to my dashboard properly. For reference, I have a Honda Odyssey. Anyways, after thoroughly cleaning my dashboard and then again cleaning down the mount for this, I got a decent suction and haven’t had any issues since.

Also, I Have a larger screen phone and a heavy duty case. This mount holds my phone with ease! Something I couldn’t say about the last mount I had.

I had RAM x grip before? it was great for IPhone 6 and 8, struggling a bit with 10 and truly maxed out with a 12? or so I though. Quick grip is light years ahead of x grip. Set your phone size one time and after that it will be securely held each time.

No more messing with a rubber band, no more grips mushing buttons, no special phone cases. Just a rock solid phone mount that will work with about any device.

Very simple. You do have to attach the base to the back of your phone, but I don’t really notice the extra bulk on the phone. Doesn’t work if you want the phone real close to your face when you are driving.

Otherwise, you can attached the ball mount just about anywhere in your car that is flat or sloped. (Not sure if vertical would stay put. ) since its just a magnet on a metal ball, the phone stays put but also pops on and off instantly.

It also swivels, rotates, and changes angle to whatever you want. If you move the mount to another car you would have to buy another sticky patch or get your own glue. One you have the mount on the back of your phone, you could buy other ball mounts and put them in the kitchen, at your desk, etc.

I was in a car accident on the 2nd, hit and run on the highway. Rear end collision that threw me into the center divide/jersey wall. Airbags deployed. My glasses ended up in the middle of the highway.

Everything in my trunk was in the front of my car. Everything hanging on my rear view mirror was destroyed. My phone stayed mounted on the damn dock, untouched. I don’t know if I can leave a better review than this one.

10/10 highly recommend. ( Also, for people that have huge purses like me, you can stick your phone in there and shuffle it about to find your keys. They will stick to the magnet. 😂).

love these mounts. having the magnet on my phone i use it everywhere without the mount. the 3m ball mount is soo strong i had to leave it in my previous vehicle because I could not remove it. Hence the second purchase.

small footprint no bulky holder or anything. i get a lot of compliments when they just see a phone hanging on the side of a computer tower or something.

I loved it at first. It was really convenient and stuck to my dashboard without issue. It was a little bit hard to move — you have to use two hands because the handle is very stiff — but otherwise, it was really nice, and I loved how easy it was to get my phone on and off of it! I’ve had it for a few weeks now and most of the time, the button refuses to work.

I have to either hit it at just the right angle or I have to slide my phone in and out, which is less convenient (given that I have my phone charging often). When I do get it open and place my phone back in the holder, it often becomes loose as I drive and makes my phone wobble around.

I’m really disappointed in its life — it was at most 4 weeks that I’ve had this. I’m going to look for a product like this, but Scosche has never been a fantastic brand, that should have been my first red flag.

I’ve been looking for a phone mount for my car for months. I have a chevy equinox. So my dashboard is NOT flat and has awkward round areas. I also have a dashcam so I needed one to fit somewhere else.

I got this because it showed it could be on the window. I set it up. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I can put it on my windshield, it comes with a mounting disc to mount to my dashboard. And it has a vent clip that is perfect.

its anug and shouldn’t fall off easily. The mount is suction. Not adhesive. Perfect for me because the last one I had, the adhesive melted off. The part that holds the phone is adjustable for many sizes.

The best part is the mounts pole is bendable. I was able to apply it to my windshield and bend it so its in perfect view for when I drive. DON’T think. Just buy it.

I used to have one that was magnetic and it broke after 4 years of using it and I decided to try this. I miss my magnetic one because I had access to my full screen. this holds my phone, which is a big phone I have a note 20 ultra, with no problems and I like being able to change it to landscape mode and it still holds it.

the only problem I have with this phone holder is it’s hard to access all of my screen where those two holders come in from each side to squeeze the phone. they squeeze the phone right where my keyboard is, so it’s hard to reach the letters on the right and left of my keyboard.

my button to do speech to text is also all the way on the right right where that holder pushes in. I’ll use it for now because I already paid for it but when this one breaks I’ll go back to my magnetic one.
