This player is generally good and value for money but navigation using the various buttons can be confusing. None the less I do find music is clear and of good quality.

This iPod Shuffle works great for swimming laps. Others that I ordered elsewhere worked for about 15 seconds and had to be returned, but this has been going for miles. I’ve been using these waterproof iPods for years, and filling them for friends who swim, and am very happy to find more that actually work! I’ll probably order a few more to give away.

For new users, read the instructions. Dry out it before recharging. All iPod shuffles need frequent recharging but these last longer than you can probably swim. (I do a mile in an hour with no problems.

I received my item in a timely manner. It was exactly as advertised. I like the pink color! I was happy to receive the information from UWater regarding the maintenance and proper care of it. Since it was refurbished I appreciate this advice.

The FAQ and trouble shooting information was valuable. The only complaint was the quality of sound was not up to par with my old item. It could be the earphones so I bought a different pair and will re-evaluate.

I still use my iPod Shuffle. It’s perfect for when I go to the gym or on a run. I can easily clip it to my workout pants and it doesn’t feel heavy or get in the way. The battery lasts awhile before you have to recharge.

I love that its thicker than a deck of cards and quite hefty. feels solid and chunky. super easy to add music to. my only problem is that the default music app doesn’t have a very robust queue function; it kind of feels like using old-school iTunes on my old ipod touch, back in the day of on-the-go playlists.

However, the fiio supports most music player apps from the play store, and the pure music mode is still great for sitting back and listening to an album.

The iPod I got looked new encased in a new plastic box and plays music wonderfully, even for a going-deaf senior like myself. Fortunately, had an iPad wall charger with two USB ports, so that I can use one for the iPad and the other for the iPod, which makes charging much easier – for me – and faster than charging while on the PC.

(Maybe charging on a Mac is faster and easier?) Now, less than two months after delivery, my iPod is now nearly fully populated with music from my Music Library, made much, much easier with the available Sync feature following the reasonably clear instruction “Start Here” booklet that came with the Shuffle.

Had downloaded some music files when I first got the iPod, and finally got around to importing more music files into my Library to sync onto the iPod; again a process quite easily completed. As I noted, it plays the music files wonderfully, though I have so far only tried the shuffle feature, not the ‘play in order’ feature.

The one thing I do not particularly like is the headphones/set that came with the iPod. The earpieces are hard plastic, relatively large – 5/8″ diameter – and do not quite fit comfortably in my ears, particularly my right ear.

They do not play the music to my liking. As with other such earpieces, the clarity – ‘purity’ – is much better when I press the earpieces into my ear canals with fingers or thumb – which can’t normally be done all the time.

Hope to find a decent stereo set with malleable, soft earpieces. Even with a cheap pair of such Sentry earpieces from one of the phone I used to use, the volume I hear is much louder, but with a loss of clarity or ‘purity’ – clear base and treble – of sound; hence my desire to pickup a decent set that plays the music files as wonderfully as the set that came with the iPod.

Now, will this quality last? Purchased the refurbished unit with the 2-year extended warranty just in case. Hopefully, this iPod will last well – barring accidental loss – into the future. Thus far, I have only listened to the Shuffle or used it around the house.

I like the fact that it was in the original container and had all of the original assessor hes from the manufacture. It included the manuals charger earphones in the iPad itself. When I receive that I charged it overnight and it held charge for about an hour, I loaded it with music and it appeared to be fine.

The following day it would not turn on, would not except a charge, and showed no signs of life. I love the iPod Shuffle, I just wish this one had worked. I have re-ordered a replacement battery for it and hopefully that will bring it to life.

This unit was advertised as only used once and I understand batteries die from just sitting around and I assume that thats what happened. If it is as advertised-all of the electrical components should be new.

The shovels are so small and light I really love them and I hope I can get this one back to life !.

Works great and the headphones are so clear. It works best if you attach the I-pod to your goggles and wrap the ear-phone wire around the back of your ear and under your swim cap. I also sprung for the expensive $70.

00 ear-buds, they were awful and I returned them! Although many people recommended the more expensive earphones and say that the earphones sold with this product are horrible I found just the opposite to be true.

The additional, more expensive earbuds that I bought did not connect all the way and did not seem to work with this product as I only heard music out of one ear-bud and the sound sometimes eliminated voices all-together making a strange sound quality that was mostly back-up music.

I suggest buy this product as is, it’s a great price for I-pod and ear-phones. I found this product to be a great add to my swim. The add of music gives me that extra motivation and I can jam-out to a power work-out mix.

I only downloaded 3 hours of music, but there is a ton of space remaining, I LOVE LOVE this product!!!!.

I got this initially because I was upgrading from a 3rd generation iPod touch that I had for over 10 years running strong, but I accidentally dropped it overnight in the rain and didn’t find it until the next day.

The good things about this in comparison to what I’m coming from, which is a much older model, is the fact that the software is newer, it has a camera compared to the 3rd gen, which did not, and the newer models simply allow for more storage space.

My older iPod was only 32 GB but I upgraded to 128 gigabytes with this new one. One thing that I’m not very happy with at all, is the battery life. Please be aware if you’re going to buy this, then you’re going to want to have a charger handy.

My old 3rd gen iPod would go days without dying. On this new iPod, When I was simply doing nothing else but flipping through music and had Bluetooth and Wi-Fi turned off, I lost like something around 40% or more of my battery life in less than an hour just looking through music.

That’s pretty unacceptable in my opinion. I needed an upgrade and I thought going brand-new would be the best route because of how long my brand-new 3rd gen lasted me when I bought it back in 2010. However, as much as there are other things that were an upgrade in getting a newer one, I think the battery was a massive downgrade.

I expect better from a company that touts superior products and charges more overall for their products as well. In regards to durability I also feel that the 3rd generation was made much more durable and built to last longer than these new ones.

I did get a waterproof and shockproof case for this, but I pray that I never drop it just the wrong way and have an issue because, that would be a waste of $300 at that. However, if you had a 3rd gen, you would know what I’m talking about when I say that those can withstand a lot of drops without an issue.

I feel like these are much less durable than their ancestors. The blue color is nice, and its nice to have another device that can hold apps as a back up so to speak, and an extra camera, but I’m not so sure I would have gotten this and spent this kind of money if I had known the battery life would be this poor.

By the time I had more time, to actually get acquainted with this issue, I was past the return window, which I disagree with not even giving customers a full month to decide if something works well for them or not; it was only 2 weeks after I contemplated if I should bother keeping it, and saw I was “passed the return window” and was not happy.

I have a first generation iPod and have owned (and still have – and they work) others. Current-generation smartphones replaced much of what I used the iPod for (music library) so I didn’t buy the later ones.

This final version was interesting because it has many of the features of the iPad, but in pocket size. So I bought one. I backed it up from my iPad and almost all the apps will run on it. It is basically a mini (well, maybe “micro” would be a better description) iPad.

It is also much faster than the earlier version iPods I have. I am using it as an ultraportable iPad. There are some apps that don’t work, I think because they need the larger screen pixel counts of the iPad and the associated graphics processing for that.

But these apps are not terribly useful in a small screen size anyway. It is also a typically well-made Apple device.

Just got this yesterday. I had two 5th gen iPod touch between 2014 and 2021. The first was replaced when I dropped it without a case in 2016. I continued to use the second one until it didn’t charge anymore in october 2021.

I used the iPod everyday mainly for music and was lost without it. When I got this gen7 touch in December, it was so much faster than my 5th in every way. I was shocked. If you use a music player daily like I do, this is the only one you should get, best value out there when measuring functionality, connectivity to your other Apple devices, and generally for peace of mind knowing that you can depend on it.

Yes, it is more than 2 years old from the date of launch at the time of this writing. But that is immaterial because based on my own experience with the 5th gen, the iPods are fantastic even years after they’re officially discontinued.

My old one performed flawlessly for 10 years, using several times weekly at the gym including the sauna. Thought it was toast after I dropped it from a storage bag, but a new charger dongle restored it to full operation.

Now I have two. Battery life is a couple months when using several hours a week, voice warning tells you well ahead. Replacement 4th gen unit was identical and appeared brand new, though sold as used.

Headphones make the difference in sound quality, try them out before buying. I get better sound from an old cell phone phone set than some newer models. Love the lightweight feature, just clip it on my shirt collar and insert the phones in ears.

No bulky phone to manage or expensive air buds to charge. Have 215 songs on mine from many favorite albums, haven’t found a storage limit. Word to the wise on this tiny unit: keep headphones plugged in so you don’t lose it, also helps prevent dropping.

A small snack bag helps keep the cord untangled.

I bought the iPod shuffle as a replacement for my old one which stopped working due to problems with the earphone jack. I did not realize that Apple Music wont load music on an iPod and I had no easy way to load it.

Fortunately my son had a laptop that still had iTunes and that worked. So be sure that you have a way to use iTunes if you are getting an iPod. The sound quality is much better than my old one.

Using this with the XBA Z5 in Balanced and I can say I am delighted with this Walkman player. Sony went all out with this player and used only the best materials and components to achieve perfection in portable sound.

While highly detailed it achieves a very pleasant analogue and tube amplifier like sound signature which I can listen to for hours without any sign of fatique. All of this comes at a price but if you only want the best in digital portable audio, this is definitely it.

Top of the line Sony portable player and it sounds like it. When paired with a high quality pair of headphones (I have Sony MDR-Z1R, Audeze LCDi-4, and Shure 535) this player sounds robust and effortless – very different from my Ipod or Pixel.

I have ony FLAC files loaded at the moment. Of course this player has a proprietary Sony jack and it weighs more than a Glock, but you get what you pay for.

Basic MP3 player with Bluetooth support. FM Radio needs WIRED headphones but works OK. The player works as advertised. Love the small size and simple windows explorer drag/drop method to add files to the player.

I own the 16 GB version of this player in black. I wanted more space so I bought the 32 GB version and will buy the 64+ GB version when/if it comes out. VERY HAPPY with 16 GB (black) and 32 GB (red) purchases.

The Fiio M17 is incredible just for the price alone. You get so much for your money. First it’s an amazing DAP as far as sound quality, it has bell and whistle you could think of. It comes with an amazing stand plus cooling fan.

It can be used with DC power or battery power and it has every input or output you could imagine. It’s a wonderful device for music lovers. Highly recommended!.

The description said “nice” and it is very nice. The battery lasts a good long while also. The description said the battery was replaced and I believe it. The screen is perfect. The port to plug in my ear buds is nice and tight.

Hopefully this iPod will last me a good long time. I bought an acrylic shell to protect it. Accessories are getting hard to find considering how old this is.

This is my 2nd one which I purchased as I misplaced my 1st one and did not care for some of the other newer, larger styles available. I stick with what I like and this item does what I need with simplicity and ease.

The touch screen works greatno issues with it cracking or deteriorating despite my heavy and clumsy usage. I detest the wheel on many other iPods which is the mode of movement/selection. This version does not have that wheel, it is just tap or scroll.

It has a clip on the back which is super handy. The clip is also quite strongit hangs on even when dancing with it clipped. Never leaves a mark on clothes. The sound is just fineI bring medium to low quality headphones with me to use with this when I go dancing and I can still hear all the songs very well over the music.

Depends what your preferences are and what is most importantif space and larger screen are most important, perhaps this isnt the right one for you. If you prefer super ease of use and simplicity, this one might hit the spot.

Small size makes it easy to use on the move and I use when running. You just clip it to your clothes or belt or put in your pocket. It is so light you don’t notice it is there. It has a pedometer and I like using it on runs – it tells me every kilometre how far I have run – and I can listen to music or the FM radio while I run.

At the end it tells me my pace and keeps a record of all my runs with the date, pace and distance so I can monitor my progress. I think the pedometer is reasonably accurate, and it pauses and automatically if you stop for a rest while running or walking.

You can store photos, music and podcasts on it such as talking books and it syncs automatically with iTunes on my computer via a usb cable. 16GB allows me to store quite a lot of music. The charge lasts at least 6 hours and it charges up again quite quickly.

You can charge it from your computer or from a mains charger. Downside for me is that the touch screen does not work well when my hands are sweaty from running. It also does not tell you your pace as you run.

Sound quality is very good. it is also pretty robust and scratch-proof.

Online, pickup in store I want to return it honestly mainly because the size. I could probably buy an iPhone for $399* without service and still have that big face screen with the music library minus the storage which is what I was going for No fault of BB, but apple should redesign the iPod honestly.

Eliminate the home button and increase the size. We love bigger screens and it needs to be shown over all apple products at this point Very much tiny in my hands so I haven’t used it or put any music on it.

Coming from a Nano after 11 long years this was, and still is, an adjustment. With that said, it is pretty good quality. It’s too bad that Apple along with society in general is pushing everything towards phones.

Well, to that I say that this is probably my last ride with an IPod period seeing how they probably won’t be around in another 10 years. There are a lot of extra features on this device. Majority I don’t use and probably will not.

The startup was my biggest adjustment. When I say that I mean the pass-code you must enter everytime you start the device. Apple kinda makes it a requirement but this baby can hold a ton! I’m considered a music geek and only about 100 songs in and this thing is only partial full.

At this point, I’d say it’s safe to say I’m keeping it. For only $193 plus tax you do get your money’s worth. I don’t use the headphones that came with it because I already had a pair. So that must be left to individual judgement.

fair battery life, not long, way too many crapps on it, apples inability to sync with ease to win media player stinks. If you like last years tech at next years price its great. It isn’t all bad though.

The ear buds that came with it are pretty good quality, the ease of getting music through iTunes is nice. If you want a player that is almost like a phone this is a good choice. If you want a player just for music then look on for less expensive alternatives, there are better music players.

The iPod does sound great through quality(NOT Beats) headphones.

I personally like to keep my music separate from my phone. Dont really know why. So this little thing comes in perfect Nice and small, fits easily into your pocket and as with most Apple devices its extremely easy to use.

Screen is nice and bright, maybe slightly too small for my big old hands but still useable. The camera I cant really comment on because I dont use it. I personally dont see why a music player even needs one but heyho.

The standard Apple earphones that come with these devices are also good quality. Into my use them for emergencies but they are not bad for a freebie thrown in with the device. Battery life is great and will last hours and hours.

Remember to turn it off though when you are done as I regularly pick it up to find it has died on me. As with all Apple products it is slightly overpriced but the quality is definitely there.

I have purchased two of these players and have been very pleased. I use them mostly for downloaded news programs at 128 kbps. Playing such files, one player went 31 hours on a charge and the other played for 23 hours, both of which substantially exceed the “up to 18 hours” stated in the manual and beat any other MP3 player that I have owned, including other SanDisk units.

Load it up, charge it up, and take a long trip in the wilderness with audio (even though you are supposed to be getting away from it all. )! A feature that I particularly like that is not available in some players is that I can turn this player off in the middle of a program and pick it up again from the same point later.

I listen to programs that can last for close to an hour or more, so this is very convenient. These were sold at “refurbished” players, but I could find no evidence of previous ownership. I suspect that players that have some tiny flaw that prevents them from being sold as perfect are classified as “refurbished” and bulk-sold to third-party sellers by SanDisk, but that is only a guess.

I can’t believe that refurbishment would include putting a tiny piece of cellophane on the volume control rocker switch, which this player had. Highly recommended!.

I’m torn – I’d kind of like to keep it, but the volume sometimes does not work – I press the button to increase, but it decreases and I have to stand there for a while and leave it alone, then try a few times until, finally, it works again.

Very annoying – especially when out walking. I’ve only had it for less than a week, but I’ve become attached to it. I like the clip and the lightness of it and it actually sounds pretty good – especially when I personalize the EQ settings.

And the radio reception (so far anyway) is pretty good – way better than the Sony Walkman NWZ183FB. It’s not perfect, but, for the short time I’ve had it, it seems like a pretty decent little player.

I’d keep it, if not for the screwed up volume buttons.

The 1st Gen Shuffle is just awkward. An oversized thumb drive. Ugly really. The 3rd Gen Shuffle is sweet, if your into secret box type gadgets. It flopped because voice over control only was a learning curve not many people could even begin to tackle.

The 4th Gen Shuffle improved on the Voice Control feature by bringing back the “click-wheel” but unfortunately in the ever expanding desire to go smaller, Apple failed with a design that is hard to “clip” on without pressing the “click-wheel”.

Same design flaw carries over the the waterproof version. That’s what makes the 2nd Gen the best. Easy load of playlist(s) from iTunes. Manual control “click-wheel” without the hocus pocus of “Voice Control” and size and design that works perfect with the “clip” feature and “Click-wheel” in unison.

Unlike another review mistakenly asserted, this Shuffle does have a power slider to turn the Shuffle off and preserve battery. The dock is not cumbersome, it is brilliant. Like the most impressive Apple docks, it is built specifically to hold, display, sync and charge the Shuffle without having to toss it randomly somewhere to get scratched up, marred, buried, smashed or lost in some way.

Further, if you are into Apple color on devices, this 2nd Generation Shuffle offers the most options. Gold, Silver, Dark Red, Light Red, Pink, Orange, Green, Light Green, Blue, Light Blue, Purple (not official color names, but you get the idea).

Lastly, this is also one of the Shuffles that Apple specifically fashioned recovery software for. When iTunes fails to recognize it, often the software can. I’ve picked up a few of these for pennies, claimed to be “dead”, only to recover them and use them extensively.

I grab playlists for on-the-go by color of Ipod. Its fast, easy and down right sexy. Displayed together, it’s a formidable army of perfect fashionable Apple icons carrying a remarkable amount of music.

Paired with vintage “Monster” or new Apple “Beats” headphone (I recommend Studio), you won’t believe the awesome sound definition, deep base and full body tone this tiny gadget can provide.

I’ll be honest; I’m something of an Apple Junkie. I’ve got the set: macbook air, iPad, iPhone and iPod nano. I ended up buying my iPod shuffle as a back up for my nano and I mainly just use it when I’m studying.

It has the distinct advantage of being extremely simple. Unlike it’s more sophisticated cousins, the shuffle has one playlist, no screen interface and no extra features. At certain times, that’s exactly what a person needs.

It pretty much defines “user-friendly” since each button has exactly one function, it’s clearly labelled and the only variable to worry about it the little light, which will tell you the state of the battery.

Personally, I can’t say enough about ho much I love the design of it. As one who has previously studied product design, I love the simplicity and elegance of the shuffle. And, on a more personal note, I love being able to clip it onto my sleeve while I’m on the go.

It may seem like just another status symbol to some (which is part of what the designers have advertised it as, describing the shuffle as a “badge” with which a person can display their love of music) but for me it’s more just a convenience.

I find that my headphones get tangled less when they and the shuffle are out of my pockets and clipped onto my sleeve. IT also means that the shuffle is close to hand without being a nuisance. At 1GB capacity, it typically holds about 200-300 songs, depending on length and file-size, which may not seem like much considering that the more expensive iPod classics have up to 160GB, which could be enough for your entire music library easily.

The smaller capacity means that you really need to think what you actually want to hear when you’re on the go. It’s both a blessing and a curse depending on what your needs are.

Never sure when buying something used. I really needed to replace my old one which died after years of hard use. The product itself can’t be beat. This used version was ok. still was loaded with somebody’s gajillion tunes! I hit the reset button and was good to go, although it doesn’t hold a charge as long as it would have if it were new.

Also. you’d need a very specific charger, lucky i still had my old one. But, great price for a hard to find item!.

Bought an iPod classic 5. 5 to keep me sane while working in a secure environment. Ordered it on a Thursday, it shipped Friday and I received it Monday, which was a day earlier than estimated, which made me happy.

Came with a charging cable, headphones and case. The headphones werent great quality, but thats fine since I have tiny ears and I wasnt expecting to be able to use them anyways. Glad not to have to source a charging cable elsewhere.

The case is a simple silicon sleeve that slides over the iPod. I requested a pink one and thats what they sent me. A+. It was a bit of a learning curve at first trying to get zipped files and video to transfer over, but that was more of a user issue and figuring out what I needed to do in iTunes.

Every now and then it comes across a file it just does not want to play and freezes up for about a minute. Im not sure why since the first time i synced it, it played fine, but after later syncing, it got buggy.

Not sure if its the file since it seems to be happening mostly with one song in particular. Sound quality is amazing and storage at 30gb is still far more than what I was allowed on my Apple Watch. Batterys lasted a full 8 hour shift so far just playing music.

Video GREATLY reduces the battery life, but I wasnt really planning on watching a lot of movies. Mostly just a few musical presentations that arent in mp3 format. All in all, Im super happy with my new toy and I could totally see myself purchasing from them again.

I like this Ipod. It was reasonably priced and works well. It can hold a charge for upmost of seven hours when I don’t want to use my phone to listen to music while working. The Front and rear housings are scuffed but that is to be expected and they are cheap to replace.

The ipod even came with a Groovy Pink charger wich makes my nest of Cables a little brighter! The Screen is Bright and Clear and I strongly recommend buying from this user. The ad was honest and they were there to answer a question when I failed to fully read the Ad.

It got to me within three days in a well packaged bag too.

I dont think Apple, or anyone else will ever create a product so perfect for its function as the iPod classic. This charming little plastic and aluminum square boasts the most intuitive user interface out there, durability that puts other products to shame, and an iconic design that belongs in a museum.

This is a device totally devoted to playing MP3s, and its really, REALLY good at it. If you can find a model that has the Wolfson DAC soundcard in it, you will be amazed at the superior playback quality.

It sounds much better than the playback on my smartphone. Another nice thing; my office has poor cell reception, meaning that my music listening is limited by both my data plan, and my phones ability to grab a signal.

Not so with my iPod classic! I can listen to my tunes for days. Well, half a day really. the batteries in these things DO tend to degrade after ten days of use. ;-). If you feel like it, there are a number of upgrade services on eBay where you can send in your old iPod, and they will do a battery and hard drive replacement.

I have done that with two of my iPods, and consider it money well spent.
