20 Best Mens Headband For Long Hair (2023 Updated)

I recently started going to the gym and found that I didn’t want to go back every day because the sweat would ruin my hair. I asked one of my friends what she does to keep her hair perfect after our Tabatha boot-camp class and an hour on the treadmill and she recommended the Temple Tape.

I tried one and cant get enough of it!! I walk out with fabulous looking hair and all I have to do when I get home is throw this in the wash and hang it dry for the next morning. I’m definitely buying more of these so I can have a clean one for every day and so that I can match them to all my gym outfits.

It absorbs sweat quickly and protects hair coming to my face. Looks great with like colours. Quality of material is okay. Looses elasticity after multiple uses. One size fits all. Wish it was thicker and larger I use it while playing Badminton.

Good absorbency. Decent amount of stretch. Comfortable & stays put during activities. Washes well, didn’t fade. Some tiny fabric fluff pieces were loose on the surface & malted off on first wear.

Living in a tropical and very humid environment means that whenever I’m at the gym I sweat profusely, but having the headband means that I can protect my face while at the same time contributing to the cooling factor of my head which prevents yawning due to the heat.

As someone who wears headphones while working out it is incredibly important to try and keep my head cool otherwise my energy will slip away because my body has to work overtime to cool me down.

Wore this for the Big Half Marathon London 2022. Kept the sweat from dripping down my head and didn’t notice it all, until I took it off at the end of the race. A great brand for running, makes a massive difference, no faff with overheating caps or ineffective visors or bandanas.

I have 4 other headbands and they all absorb the sweat. This Under Armour Performance Headband does not absorb moisture. Instead it wicks sweat away. In theory that would work. But no, instead of wicking it to the back of your head, it wicks all sweat right to your forehead and drips it into your eyes.

I’ve tried this one three times, hoping that maybe rotating it might help. Nope. It is in the trash now. Buy any other brand (or no-name brand) headband.

Great product, although if I were a male it would be too tight. For a small female this product is great. Keeps the sweat off my face, looks great on and feels good. Would be great to be able to get different colours however, the white does look great on.

Would I buy this again? Yes, and in fact give it a couple of weeks and i will be.

Having tried brand after brand of sweat mgmt headbands. I am thrilled to say I have finally found my ‘forever product’!!! The Halo bands x 4 that I ordered on spec, arrived very fast, in excellent condition and with minimal ( important to me)but perfect packaging.

I was immediately impressed with the products. you don’t always know when you can’t feel it in the shop beforehand. They washed nicely, dried very fast and are of excellent material quality! Used for indoor sweaty spin workouts the bands do 100% as they say on adverts.

Eyes saved, earbuds stay in and bands stay superbly in place. I love the yellow grip bar!! The material is soft, pliable but solid and leaves no ‘ah, that was so itchy/ tight’ feeling behind. A pleasure to wear 🙂 Used for yoga and painting our shower and bathroom, and shovellibg snow(ugh) the bands are very comfortable over a long period.

They do not slip or irritate at all. Superb! Truly!! I highly recommend Halo bands, am delighted and relieved to have found my forever product for run/ hike/spin/yoga/lawnwork/painting and simply everyday living.

I was originally looking for a headband to supplement my winter running head gear (very cold winters here) and I bought an anti-freeze pullover and anti-freeze skullcap. They worked great! So in the spring I added two Bandit Air pullover headbands.

They were fantastic for my morning runs. As the weather became hotter, I added an Air II and two Air Slims. I really like the quality of these headbands and their functionality. They’re easy to keep clean, too with a quick rinse.

I wear them on every run (I run about six times per week). I’m sure I’ll end up with a couple more as we head into fall in a short while.

One of the most frustrating distractions during long mt bike rides in the heat of Southern California is sweat draining into my eyes ~ especially if I’ve accidentally put sunscreen on my forehead. Having to stop my bike mid-trail, remove my helmet to ‘wring out’ the forehead padding of sweat, and dab at my eyes to remove the stinging sweat and sunscreen really sucks.

I’ve tried thicker pads in my helmet thinking they would absorb more (they do, and then they drain more into my eyes). I’ve tried a thick headband from my skiing / snowboarding but it doesn’t fit well under my helmet and makes me even hotter and sweatier.

The Halo II is the best solution I’ve found. Thin, superlight, fits snug but not constricting, it fits almost unnoticed under my helmet. The rubberized sweat gutter works as advertised ~ no sweat / sunscreen / stinging in my eyes while mt biking! I’m so grateful for this simply, effective, low cost solution.

The only drawback is that after a few hours on the trail, the gutter does leave a dent in my forehead for half an hour ~ ha ha ~ but worth it : ).

I got this to keep my ears warm while playing golf. It has been perfect and I can still wear my hat to keep the sun out of my eyes. The reversible feature is awesome as well. I have the blue Nike hate and the blue Nike visor as well.

I bought this same head band 7 years ago. The quality of the 7 year old model is better than the new one. It works for me so far. I bought 2 of these and the stitching seems a little worse than the old one I had.

I would say it was worth the money but, I’m hoping it lasts.

I’ve been a sweaty lady my whole life and I mean MY WHOLE LIFE! Lol, so it’s nice to know whatever I’m doing, as long as I’ve got this on. my face won’t look like I walked through a sprinkler. Great headband. Keeps my hair out of my eyes when I start sweating, which is exactly what I was looking for. Not the greatest for sweat since it is super thin, but if you have a couple to swap out they do dry off really quick.

I literally wear this thing every day. I forget I’m wearing it. It’s comfy. Not too tight. But tight enough to stay in place. LOVE IT.

Son wanted a headband for his hair for soccer. Son really likes this headband, seems to work as designed. Easy to wash, will likely get another in a different color.

So far so good. I enjoy the larger footprint on your head (vs the other Nike Fury headbands). Would also like to see this headband added with the silicone grip like the Nike Fury has on the interior.

(The silicone grip also wicks the sweat away from your face). So far the washes don’t remove the Nike insignia (the other Nike headbands were infamously known for this).

Have never worn headbands but needed to keep sweat off my face and out of my eyes on long runs. This does the job! I can’t believe how much it absorbs. I think I have a larger head and it’s so comfortable I don’t even know I’m wearing it.

Grew my hair out during quarantine and needed a head band so ordered this one. Made of a soft cotton and almost no pressure on your head and i feel like i have a big head. (24 inch around top forehead).

Would recommend and would buy again as its super comfortable.

I was continually frustrated with wiping the sweat from my forehead and brow every time I did yard work on a summer day. After thinking about what to do to ease my frustration, one thing popped into my head: Wilt Chamberlain! Well not exactly Wilt, but his signature head band.

After a brief search on the internet, I found the Suddora website. I’m glad I did, as they had what I was looking for: an adult sized terry cloth headband — in purple! The headband is comfortable to wear and it soaks up the sweat… Thankfully, my frustrating yard work head sweat issues are a thing of the past.

Suddora’s wristbands are the best! I play competitive tennis and twice a year I buy this item in bulk in various colors and I buy several pair in the colors I use most often. The wristbands last a long time and are comfortable.

The wristbands come in two widths. I prefer the shorter width. Great purchase!.

I have been wearing armbands for several summers on my predawn walks to absorb sweat and especially to wear under the slap bracelet lights I wear to be seen. They are perfect! I just purchached the zipper armband – wearing it on my leg to hold a cell phone (not a smart phone).

I would give this a zero rating if I could. Don’t get me wrong, I love the design but I have never been so dissatisfied with a lulu product in my life until today. My mother sent this as a gift seeing that my hair flops around when I study or play volleyball.

This headband lasted less than 4 weeks before the stitching and material broke. Never got to use it on the volleyball court because of exams 🙁 I just wanted a durable athletic headband but I added one more thing to the landfill :(.

If you’re like me who gets constant headaches or light headed after a run on a windy day then try protecting your head with these headbands. The Metal Vent Tech fabric is breathable and wicks away moisture fast.

It is also great at deflecting polluted winds that can mix into your sweat, absorbs into your skin and in turn may effect your performance. A small detail with a big impact that is worth trying on your next run or workout pursuit.

The quality is nice and stretchy and fits perfectly around my head. It serves it’s primary purpose of holding hairs back and absorbs sweat well. You can fan the front out according to your preferred warmth head coverage.

Also just an idea I wrap my wireless behind-the-neck headphones excessive wires to the back of the headbands to secure everything in so I wouldn’t have to adjust my ear pieces often. I now own 6 of these headbands all in different colors and want to note that with some colors you may feel tighter or looser but after a couple of minutes it adjusts to my head and it never bothers me.

Love this headband! It not only keeps my hair out of my face and stays put, it also can be worn in various temperatures. I can wear it in chilly weather to cover my ears or wear it in sweltering heat to soak up the sweat.

It also can be worn by either gender. The stock photo is a male, but I’m a female and have 4 of them in different colors. I would like some more feminine colors though :).

XL hairs ties are amazing for thick hair. Bought a pack of these just to try them out, along with several packs of the regular size hair ties. I love the XL size so much, I hardly touch the regular size hair ties anymore.

If I’m looking to put my hair up like Geralt of Rivia, then I have no problem using a regular size hair tie. If I try to do a full men’s tail, then a regular size hair tie is just too difficult and tight to use.

I can use XL hair ties in either situation and it works and feels great. Definitely going to buy more and hope that more color/pattern options are continued to be added in this size. The hair ties for guys are always of highest quality and are extremely long lasting.

I bought 2 packs of hair ties in 2016ish and didn’t need to buy anymore until this past year. It wasn’t because the quality had reduced over the years, but rather I just ended up eventually misplacing them all.

I appreciate that the emblem on the hair ties are now being sewn on instead of glued. That was my only complaint about the old versions of hair ties. They’ve done a great job making the colors/patterns look more vibrant in the new hair tie versions.

I plan on buying more often, not because I need to, but rather I want to collect all the color/pattern options. No plan on getting short hair anytime soon. I’m a customer for life.

These were bought in preparation for the real awkward phase, so I’ve not had a chance to use them yet, but they feel like they’ll serve their intended purpose. For now I’m considering them as chokers to really add to my awkward phase goofball look.

They feel much more stable than the usual bands you find in other places. I love the hold they give me and can’t wait to grow my hair even longer. Also the material feels soft but sturdy at the same time.

That’s quality and I’m glad to have bought them.

Two of the 12 pens were faulty. The black pen was empty and the blue released too much paint on pressure. The rest of the paint pens work beautifully and are easy to use and give excellent finish to my rock paintings.

I bought this because I thought the furry headband was cute and would be nice for the holidays, but I wish the band was a bit more elastic. It doesn’t have much stretch which would be preferred for a better fit.

Still, I like it and intend on wearing it for the colder seasons.

When I bought this, I had every intentions of using it to keep me warm this winter. It does its job so well. I have recently gave it to my daughter who kept complaining her head was cold. It works wonderfully! :).

Does exactly what it’s supposed to. I sweat a lot from my bald head and sweat in the eyes can ruin a ride. So far this has kept my eyes totally sweat free both outside and on the turbo, what more do you want from a sweatband? Once you’ve cut out the oversized label you don’t notice you’re wearing it.

I’ve got quite a large bonce and it fits fine. Product is high quality, but something at half the price from a lesser brand would probably work just as well. Up to you whether you think the Castelli premium is worth paying.

Super good little headband. I used to suffer with sweat salt running into my eyes, but not any more. I might look like an 80’s runner when my helmet is off but it’s worth it!

I bought this as a “try and see if I like” and what do you know it works as advertised. I purchased the tapered one and OMG love it. I don’t get sweat in my face when I work out. I am a huge sweater and I am bald, so when I sweat, it’s buckets and I’ve got nothing but a sweat band form the 80’s to mop it up.

This band is sooooo much better than the one from the 80’s. I use it when I work out in the gym, when I bike ride, when I hike and go kayaking. I use it out in the yard at times too. After every work out, bike ride, yard work, etc, I don’t have sweat in my face and I can ring out a good 2 cups of sweat, yeah it is that good.

I love that I can wear it under my bike helmet with no issue, love that I can wear it under my baseball cap and not have that nasty sweat stain. And I can wash and dry it with no shrinkage, fraying, etc.

still looks brand new and still mops up my sweat. I plan on buying at least two more one to keep in the gym, one out side and one in the car for those holy crap it’s hot days.

I bought these since I shave my head. They are great at absorbing the sweat and I love them for it. The downside is, they hold heat so you get hotter faster. When done with a workout and you take it off, it feels like the temp dropped by 20 degrees.

Are they great for what they do? Yes. Do you feel like you are overheating? Yes. Hence, why I use them, but hate doing so.

I’ve got six of these (3 black, 2 red, 1 blue) and use them for all of my WODs – having them for around 6 months. It’s a must to keep my hair and sweat out of my eyes. The colour does fade after repeated washes, but that should be expected.

The black is faded and looks charcoal-y but still cool. The red is distressed. And the blue (the one I least wear) is looking alright. Ideally I’d like to these in sets at a little cheaper, but they are well made.

I’d also like to see some more colours – orange, yellow, green please.

Took a long time to get these headbands. I ordered a week before Christmas and got them a week after New Year, but it’s a busy time of year so I wasn’t expecting anything else. It was completely worth the wait.

I will be ordering more immediately, they are very comfortable and just what I need for my dreads.

Considering where this was coming from it made it really good time! The headband was for my husband and we both LOVE it. He has already gotten a lot of compliments and friends asking where they could buy it.

I love this thing. I’ve tried the ones with a rubber strip that is supposed to channel it out of your eyes and–I guess–down the sides of your face but the strip comes off after a few washes and it doesn’t really work that well anyway.

This thing gets the sweat to evaporate through wicking. I just got back from a really hilly July ride in Austin and I never wiped away sweat once. I got it on sale but I’ll probably buy 1-2 more at full price so I have them at the ready.

I picked up a black one and it absorbs sweat and fits nicely under my helmet. I have several other thicker sweatbands that don’t fit great under a helmet so this is a major plus. I’ve crashed with is and gotten it dirty, but it did great in the wash.

I’ve washed mine several times and it comes out just like it was when brand new.

I usually wear a size L, this sweatband fits pretty snug. It leaves a mark on my forehead. Doesn’t stretch enough to be one-size-fits-all. One size fits most. It does the job tho – keeps sweat out of my eyes, and I don’t notice that I’m wearing it under my helmet.

I have started to collect these head ties in assorted colors due to wanting to wear them for anything where I am sweating. Whether it is playing ball, doing yardwork, or just some other fun activity.

My daughter requested this for her basketball games. She loves it! The color matches her team’s colors very well. The material is comfortable and absorbent. It stays put the whole game with minimal fixes.

I had been looking for a merino band for some time when I came across this product. It’s great for draping over the eyes when sleeping, or using it while exercising. The only thing I would say is that it fits a little tight.

I have a knit cap from another company which fits looser, but they do not sell headbands. Full disclosure, I have a large head (23. 25 inches or 59 cm. ). For most people the band should pose no fit problems.

This is our second purchase! We loved our first one so much that we ordered in a second color. It truly does the job and does not lose its form. It is extremely comfortable too. We had tried several other brands before ordering our first Bruce Bolt.

I love Junk headbands more than any other product I have ever found. I am the PROUD owner of 11 different patterns and have a hard time not checking constantly for new patterns.
