20 Best Farm Animal Toys For Toddlers (2023 Updated)

This product says 1-5 years and it is clearly a 4-5 year product. The animals are not soft like the other Fisher Price animals bought from other locations. They also are clearly for a specific farm and not just animals as advertised.

They animals in the box look as if they had been played with and just stuffed in the box. They were dirty to supposed that theory. Sadly we cannot let my grandson use his gift for many years. You should stop selling this particular product.

I will also be contacting Fisher Price to voice my concerns on the age limits in this particular item.

I remember having the Fisher Price little people farm when I was a child in the 1970’s, and how much I loved it. My children had also been gifted and they too played for hour’s at a time. Now my grandchildren get to play with the farm when visiting and because they don’t have it at home, they enjoy it all the more.

I would purchase for a gift for a child. Well worth the money. No batteries required.

These FP animals are terrible. They are ugly, unbalanced (won’t stand up on their own), and have seams and cheap paint. I am so disappointed in this product. When I opened them I thought I got some kind of knock-off.

The design team needs to go back to the older design. I wish I had seen these reviews before I purchased this product.

I was very excited to get these for my 16 month old twins. They seemed perfect for developing fine motor strength and coordination and so many other things. but they are SO hard to pull apart and snap back together.

I’m hoping with use they will get easier to manipulate, but there’s no way a kiddo younger than probably about 18 months could use these to their intended purposes. With that being said, they’re super cute and simple, and would be a safe option for a younger a baby who might put them in their mouth!.

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVED these. My 1 year olds had a blast with them. It was great for fine motor, pushing together & pulling apart. It require some muscle so they didn’t get bored with them quickly.

They loved naming the animals, matching them and making their sounds. The first few times I washed them by hand, spraying and rinsing quickly. Then they got put in a bucket of soapy water. They filled water and that was the end.

We couldn’t get all the water out. Mold grew inside. I was very disappointed because they were a great manipulative for 1 yr olds- which is rare. If the hole could be sealed- they would be PERFECT!.

This toy is hard for me to open and close. Makes annoying rubbing sound with each try. Melissa and Doug Brand is overrated and overpriced.

I really love this barn! Cute animals and farmer pieces (though it needs a chicken for the nest in the hayloft!). Large enough for children’s hands to move throughout. Opens up for playing inside the barn and doors open on both sides.

Having a great time teaching my tiny granddaughter the animals and their sounds! Farmer Ben says “Good morning!” It was also a great price! Half the cost of the popular brand!.

Our daughter got this one for her birthday and love it. She plays with it for hours. I do wish that maybe it would be some more animals we could get as an add on. Also is that it is a bit weird with a chicken nest and no chicken.

My son is in love with all animals! And whenever we are on the go, we always take some animals with us. These pint-size animals are very detailed and perfect to throw in his diaper bag or my purse. We keep a set with us so that he is easily entertained on car rides, at restaurants, and waiting at the doctor’s office! There’s a horse, cow, pig, rooster, chicken goat, sheep, lamb, donkey, and dog.

He picks up an animal and says what sound they make. And it’s nice to have a see-through container to store them! My son’s a little young but I envision sorting and counting with them soon too. Oh, and these would be perfect for Easter eggs (a nice alternative to candy in some eggs), valentine’s day cards (you MOOve me or I got your BAAAck), Halloween treats, and party favors! The Farm Animal Counters come in their own clear, lidded container for easy clean up by the children and easy storage till next use. The animals are life-like. The cows look like a cow you would see in a field not in a cartoon, etc.

They are a good small size. We can use a small barn or a Little People Barn and the animals fit just fine. We used the animals as a table activity to let the children sort the animals. For example: all the pigs in one fence, all the sheep in another fence, etc.

We used the animals in circle time so the children could choose an animal and make the sound that animal makes.

This product was very useful since the boards are magnetic. The fraction side works very good for visual students. However the percent side did not work for the 4th grade students because it is not in the curriculum for 4th grade.

It would be very beneficial for students to have the fraction equivalent for decimals instead of percent. However, fifth grade students can definitely use it the way it is now. The material is very sturdy for students to handle and it is easy to use.

I bought 5 animals. one for each grandchild. They liked them so much that I bought more and now have 36! They are Mimi’s animals that I keep in a big bag and whenever the grandkids come over, this is their special bag to open.

First, we have spent a lot of money on Schleich toys. They are made well. Lots of good detail. And stand the test of play time. Reasonable prices. This set was just right.

Super educational item. I use the safari ltd Toobs for homeschooling my preschooler. We have used them in sensory bins, science projects and they make a great physical replica of human organs to go with each lesson about human anatomy.

I love Toobs because they can be wet, go in any sensory material and still keep their quality! We have 3 different ones, and I just ordered 6 more plus minis for various homeschool lessons!.

I am not one to order online. My grandson was making a “fish tank” out of a shoebox. He wanted a manatee for it. I couldn’t find anything in the stores near me. I didn’t want to drive far from home, so I went onto Michael’s.

com and saw that…not only did they have the product I wanted, I could get it delivered!!! I didn’t have faith since I’ve tried a few times ordering and wasn’t too satisfied. I couldn’t believe it came and was the product I wanted.

Our 3 year old is obsessed with anteaters so we HAD to have this set of animals. It also has a few other rare animals (tapir, macaw, poison frog) that you don’t normally see in play animal sets so I was glad to add this to his huge collection.

We have other sets from this brand and as always they are very life-like and accurate in appearance. I appreciate that I can use coupons to get these even cheaper which is often a better deal than buying direct through Safari Ltd or another supplier.

My 18-month old grandson loves this! Friendly and Oversized farm animals are easy to pick up and the handle on top makes it easy for him to carry the barn to another room. After a month he still plays with this every day and is now creatively playing out stories with the cute farmers feeding the animals.

Even has a farm truck the farmers fit into. So much enjoyment from a toy so fairly priced at $20. This toy is a winner.

These came in a cheap, clear bag that was already torn apart. They had “CHINA” stamped on the bottom. They had smelly glue on them, very suspicious of the toxic level.

The animals didn’t look like any of these pictured. The rooster is solid red, goose grey,pig is solid color. and they are shaped differently than pictured. I was disappointed but they will due until I find more real to life animals.

These are cheaply made & not fully painted. I bought these for my grandson but I dont feel they are gonna be safe for him.

We got this this 3 weeks ago for my daughters their birthday. Within a week the middle button that makes the most noise and flips open two barn doors is stuck down. I reached out to customer services almost 2 weeks ago and have not received a response.

My girls love all of their Little People toys and were really enjoying this toy until it broke. Now they hardly touch it. I would really appreciate if customer service could reach out to assist. I’m giving average review for fun and holding child’s interest because my girls were having so much fun with this up until it broke.

I purchased this for my child’s birthday and within the first 5 minutes of getting it out, the front button (that controls the front gates and plays sound) got stuck down. This means that the gates are stuck open and there is no sound made from that button.

I packaged it back up and took it to the store for a replacement. After getting the second farm home and playing with it for just 30 minutes, the button got stuck again. That makes two toys that both had the same issue and makes the toy not work.

I have a request out to Fisher Price for a solution, but at this time I would not recommend.

This is a great toy in design. My 1-year-old son loved putting the figures down the chute and listening to the fun sounds. For a couple weeks. Then the button got stuck. I was able to finagle it a couple times, but it appears to now be stuck for good, rendering it useless.

We bought this toy early for my son’s birthday and didn’t open it right away, so I’ve missed the return window. Disappointed in the longevity of this really fun toy which only lasted a couple weeks fully functioning.

We bought there for my son’s pre-K while we also purchased the medium size jungle animals. The sizing was not consistent, as the medium farm animals were a bit larger than the medium jungle animals. Someone else commented on this.

I talked to customer svc, so hopefully they are changing it. The animals also have a strong plastic type smell, and I let them off-gas for several days. Other than that, they are realistic looking and I believe the children will enjoy them.

We use these in our sensory bin and love that they’re durable and easy to clean!

These were a lot of learning fun for my son because he would name the animals as he watched the Baby Einstein youtubes and other Ronald McDonald nursery rhymes. These were very inexpensive, they were found at the dollar tree store.

I would recommend them.

My son LOVESSSS these! He makes lands and plays with them constantly! They’re very small so kids may put them in their mouth or are prone to losing them so be prepared to find them everywhere! They entertain him though :).

The toys are to small for my son to play with i thought they was bigger like the other ones i got. I will keep them an give them to him when hes older so he dont choke on them. These are not for a 1yr old to play with.

This is such an exquisitely crafted and meticulously detailed farm with Accessories that one seriously has to own it to believe it. Construction is really solid. My daughter loves to pretend play with the farm and animals.

She makes animal sounds while moving them from one corner to another. Her favorite part is the movable winch and pretends to move hay with it. Movable farmer with movable hands and legs leads to hours of pretend play with him feeding the cows, playing with them and stuff.

My daughter is extremely happy to own this set and I will highly recommend this to any parent with toddlers who have imaginative play skills and if they don’t,this set will start teaching them for sure.

I have been buying Schleich animals for my grandson for years. He loves them-the smaller the better! Looked for a barn for them, and decided to try this-wasn’t surepictures tend to look the same of different brands.

This is huge! The rop roofs come off for easy play, the doors slide, there’s a winch that moves. My now 5 year old grandson was totally awed by it. Know it will get years of use.

This is really a huge barn and has a lot of different parts. It was easy to put all the different parts together to make the barn and playset. My granddaughter really enjoys playing with the farmer and the animals all around the different areas of the barn.

My granddaughter likes making the noises of the animals and having the adult cow play with the calf. She also likes to have the farmer take the wheel barrel around and go in the barn to hide from the animals.

It is really cool that the farmer’s arms and legs move. Also, the winch does actually move and my granddaughter pretends to lift hay. I am amazed how long my granddaughter plays with this set, as it really takes up a lot of her time and she seems to be very imaginative with it.

I plan to get my granddaughter some of the add on items so she can extend her play with this barn and the animals. My granddaughter is already making a list of things she wants to add to the barn. This toy playset has very small parts and I would not recommend it for any child under the age of five.

My daughter got this last Christmas from her grandparents. She loves it! She is animal mad so this really appeals to her. She spends ages putting the animals in their stalls and putting the food in for them.

She loves the drop door bit and puts all sorts down there! And she really likes the bell on it too.

These are a good size for little hands and very life like! And a great bargain, couldn’t be happier!

My son is quickly gaining an encyclopedia knowledge of sea creatures and animals in general and despite not being able to read is very observative and Pays great attention to detail and was quite pleased with this and the many other sea animal purchases we made to use as gifts and incentives towards school work in this new day and age of covid-19 homeschooling.

This shark has great attention to detail, teeth, coloration, gills and etc but it was a tad small to me, great quality admittedly but the next one up I think was $14 and a bit too much for me to swallow since I was purchasing a lot as incentives for the long haul.

The elephant and his buddies are accurate, detailed, sturdy, and well designed creatures worth every penny. I know because I shopped around extensively and found Safari to have the best quality, selection, and sizes (large and small).

I prefer the larger sized animals because I display them outdoors in my sunflower patch “jungle” for the enjoyment of the neighborhood kids (and adults!). I’ve also witnessed a number of teaching moments between parents and children viewing the animals too.

In another month, the sunflower “jungle” will become a “forest” populated with a moose, black bear, fox, hawk, etc. also from Safari. Great stuff and great fun.

This shark goes swimming with his buddy the sperm whale. My grandson is obsessed with sharks and this toy is super high quality. Goes everywhere including pool and it still looks brand new.

Package received in an acceptable manner. All items are correctly received. Items are wrapped acceptable though appreciate if wrapping team can use inner protection i. e bubble wraps or shredded newspapers or crumpled brown thin paper sheets to minimize package damage during delivery transition.

I love the product. I like all organs and it is easy to manage for kids of 3 or 4 years old. There are very illustrative. It seems expensive but I research in other places for similar product but less quantity and quality and also more expensive than these.

If you like Montessori education or you just need something more illustrative about organs these are the best choice. Also, even the actual circumstances I received my product very fast.
