I ordered from the Better Health Store, because they had a great price on the HU 70% cacao baking gems. They are the only snacking/baking chocolate that doesn’t use processed white cane sugar or erithrytol but instead, coconut sugar.

They were packed very well considering they were being shipped to Los Angeles where the weather could be warm one day and colder the next day. They were wrapped/insulated in hot/cold bubble wrap including, an ice pack that was sealed very securely in bubble wrap so it did not leak all over the products.

I’ve been a chocolate lover all my life, and probably eat too much of it! I ate 70% chocolate for many years, but was trying to reduce my sugar intake. (I’ve had 100% dark chocolate from an expensive small shop, and honestly it just tasted like dirt to me!) When I tried this organic, fair trade chocolate, it has the most delicious, complex flavor of any dark chocolate I have ever tried! (I hate those one-note chocolates, where the flavor goes away so fast in your mouth – some of them are pricey too! This flavor has several different notes, and you keep tasting them!) I also only buy organic anymore, and am so happy to find Fair Trade chocolate, where the farmers are well paid, and no slave labor involved! (Yuck so sad we have to do so much research on food these days!) I love the Equal Exchange company – I recommend them for all your coffee and tea needs, though I don’t drink either.

I stick to this bean!.

Smooth, rich, satisfying – really great chocolate; I really like all the equal exchange bars but his is totally a favorite. It has enough sweetness for people who don’t like super dark chocolate (like the Eclipse, which I love for the cacao intensity) but it is still great for dark chocolate lovers.

Also, while (most?? All??) big multinational chocolate brands currently try to disguise, fair-wash, or distract from horrible inequities and abuses in their supply chain, it is good to know EE has longstanding relationships with producers and commits to fair trade and ethical products.

I am a long time fan of Hu Kitchen’s brand. All the flavors of their chocolate bars are so delicious and unique. The cashew butter vanilla dark chocolate is my absolute favorite flavor, but they are all so tasty! The chocolate is both smooth and silky, and it just melts in your mouth! Sometimes it is difficult to find “healthy chocolate” that is not too bitter, but thankfully, I can say that Hu’s dark chocolate is never bitter.

It is the perfect combination of a rich dark chocolate taste with a subtle sweetness. One of the reasons I love the brand Hu Kitchen is because they use real ingredients in their products. They also have such a great mindset that food products should be simple.

I have many dietary sensitivities that do not allow me to eat a lot of normal foods. However, when I was looking for clean chocolate brands I quickly realized that not all brands of “healthy chocolate” are the same.

Some taste way too healthy, and the taste is bad to me. But Hu Kitchen is different because their chocolate tastes even better than other store bought chocolate bars in my opinion. I was just over the moon when I found a brand of chocolate that didn’t have dairy and other gut irritating substances! Even if you don’t have severe food sensitivities like me, eating this chocolate is great because you know that you are consuming only high quality, clean ingredients.

I love eating 1/2 a bar or so for dessert, and it is just the perfect way to end the day. I’m so happy with these bars! Overall, I know the price may throw some people off, but if you want high quality, natural chocolate it is TOTALLY worth it.

Incredible. It’s a feat that your grandparents would have been envious of, and your great grandparents likely would have killed for. Recommended usage: Adjust your thermostat to 69 degrees fahrenheit and wait for the temperature to adjust.

I have a love hate relationship with HU chocolates. Some of the bars and pieces are amazing (I personally adore the Cashew Hunks, regular gems and gingerbread bar). However, I find the texture of their chocolates really hit or miss.

Some of the bars are so dry and almost crumbly in texture, without the traditional smooth mouthfeel that chocolate should have. Others, like the regular gems are smooth and creamy and perfect for baking.

These mint chips unfortunately fall in the drier, slightly gritty camp. The mint flavour is lovely, but texturally these are a miss for me. If I was baking with them, I probably wouldn’t mind but as snacking pieces to eat out of hand, I’d prefer to eat the regular gems instead.

Recently I ordered one bar to try it, but in my opinion it’s really no more special than other more ordinary dark chocolate. It was overly tightly wrapped and very difficult to open, especially with a foil-covered pad that I suppose was included to try to keep it cool during shipping.

It was very tightly shrink-wrapped and delivered to my curbside mailbox on a hot day, but fortunately it was still solid and not melted at all when I finally was able to get it open with a very sharp, thin cutter blade.

The taste was not very appealing and not very sweet. One side appeared to be broken off of a larger chocolate bar. Most of it was divided into rectangular sections, except the bottom end was smooth and undivided — a curious way to present a chocolate bar.

Unfortunately, I was not impressed with its overall quality and I do not expect to order it again. I honestly cannot recommend it. Much better, more delicious dark chocolate bars of excellent quality and low cost, which I have bought and enjoyed in the past, are easily available in Walmart stores.

I read so many review and took weeks to finally make a purchase of these dark chocolate bars only to discover they are genuinely terrible in every regard. The texture is dry and chalky. The added flavors are almost non-existent (I think there might have been one grain of salt in my salted dark chocolate bar), and the bars had no creamy, melt in your mouth experience whatsoever.

I don’t know if they spoiled in shipment or they’re just not good quality chocolate, but these were an expensive purchase and a massive disappointment. I’ll stick with my tried and true, clean, organic chocolate that never, ever lets me down.

In fact, I already placed an order with them and will be tossing whatever is left of my Hu chocolate bars. Last time I ever believe anything from social media. I should have known better.

This used to be my all time favorite chocolate bar ever. Like an adult Kit Kat. The flavor of the chocolate was quality. A deep dark chocolate with salt quinoa crunch layed on the bottom. Not anymore.

They changed the packaging to plastic and the chocolate. The most recent bars I bought, had a lighter color, and almost zero crunch. I am sadly not exaggerating when I say they were three pieces of quinoa in a piece of chocolate.

It used to cover the entire bottom. With out the crunch, the entire flavor is thrown off. The chocolate itself now tastes similar to the cheap $1. 50 candy bars you get at any gas station. I will just buy Kit Kats from now on, as they sadly taste similar.

What happened? Why the “new” plastic package and cheaper chocolate production? And still charging $5 a bar.

This is the kind of chocolate that nutritionists declare to be positively good for us. Not much sugar, no “glass and a half. ” – just what it says on the packet, eye-poppingly powerful and not for the faint hearted.

I’ve searched high and low for 100% chocolate bars – they allow me to cut out sugar but still get the joy and benefits of chocolate. This bar is my favorite of all of them – smooth, nice flavor, not too bitter, great mouth-feel.

I’ve found it in Trader Joes, but online it all seems to come from the UK. Online you have a bigger variety of selections. It’s not cheap, but it’s nowhere close to the most expensive I’ve seen. Strong recommendation.

My favourite chocolate of all time! I think of them like Italian fortune cookies! The love messages are a nice touch. I have tried most of the varieties, and the original is the best. More sophisticated flavour compared to Ferrero Rocher.

I thought this would be Limoncello “filled”, but instead it is a very good dark chocolate bar that is speckled with ever-so tiny lemon bits that just give a hint of lemon. Its very good, perhaps because the lemon is so mild.

No bitterness, no strange aftertaste.

I love what Green and Blacks stand for. I love that they are a fair trade and organic chocolate company. Aside from that it’s just amazing tasting and I wish I would have known about it sooner. Great soft smooth chocolate texture that tastes amazing! Tastes like high end expensive chocolate.

Additionally, if you keep your eye open for coupons and cash back campaigns you can get this chocolate for a bargain that is actually cheaper than “big brands. ” Keep an eye out, give it a try, you won’t be sorry! Can usually be found in the organic foods section of your grocery store.

I never would have had this on my radar but thought I would try whilst on offer. I was wowed. It’s the first chocolate I’ve had in a very long time that I’ve eaten every last square and not got bored.

A subtle spice, almost boozy taste that goes with any drink you care to try. A very grown up, sophisticated bar! I would have this again, and recommend to friends. And that’s saying something.

£1. 50 for 3 bars of chocolate which is just past the sell by date and will taste good for a good 3 months past the sell by date. It’s a good buy if you buy in bulk because of the postage?. Same chocolate in the shops would cost something like 4 pounds to 4 pounds fifty for 3 bars.

I’m into this Short expiry / just past the sell by date food since the corona virus outbreak / lockdown , as home delivery from the supermarkets was a gamble and surprise to see what they would actually deliver because of limited buying / shortages on the shelves.

Perugina is a well known chocclate brand, this product contains 85% cacao and you can feel the full taste of cacao very intense and smooth. Also dark choccolate is a healthy choice increase your good mood , reduce stress, reduce head ache and make you relaxed.

I think I’m addicted to italian products. Italian food seemed the most delicious. And I have no way of not loving these wonders. The combination of dark chocolate and hazelnuts is deadly. There are fine candies, which melt in the mouth in a sophisticated packaging, so that those who hate dark chocolate fall in love with these sweets.

I recommend them wholeheartedly and reward them every time I see them in stores.

Great product and tastes good. It was delivered on time. We are regular users of this Organic chocolate and pleased that it is not wrapped in Aluminum or plastic film. It is wrapped in a special biodegradeable film.

Best chocolate ever, which I first bought on a trip to France. Very hard to find and expensive, but truly top notch.
