20 Best Socks For Cowboy Boots (2023 Updated)

I have been looking for something exactly these socks. I ordered my first set just to try them and immediately turned around and placed another order. Perfect thickness and all day comfort, but the best part, they are made here in the USA.

My husband has size 13EEE feet. These socks are the only ones I found using multiple web sites, that actually fit him, without pinching his diabetic feet! Thank you for making socks for my yeti!?!!

These were favorite socks for my son-in-law who is an professional electrician. his absolute favorite sock for comfort and quality. I overheard conversation on these socks, so ordered them for gifts! I am all about practicality and need.

Was getting similar great socks from Rebok until they quit making them. Have been disappointed with all I’ve tried until I got these. Only thing I’d like to see is for these to come in a 2-pack like the same ones in white.

I have a bad problem with socks. For years now, if I have to pull up a sock more than twice in a day, they go in the garbage. Basically, I have a sock budget and a sock drawer be cause of this! I need to tell you that this is the first brand of socks, in my life (I’m in my 50’s), that has lasted more than a year.

I have three pair going on two years now. You put these on in the morning, don’t touch them all day at work (on my feet) and take them off at night. Trust me, these are the socks to have. I will never use another over-the-calf sock again.

I would buy them even if they were twice the money.

I recently bought a whole new set of socks (14 pairs total). It was finally time to retire my first set of socks that I bough 7 years ago. They started losing their elasticity about a year or so ago, but were still holding up ok for 7 year old socks, and I have big calves.

I wore these socks for 12+ hour work days and everywhere else after. No rips, tear or other issues except for the elastic finally giving. But these socks were 7 YEARS OLD. If you need some tall over the calf socks, these are for you.

I’m a skinny guy, but I bought the extra-large boot socks because the normal size was too tight; almost impossible to slip over the feet, and very tight in the leg, especially in the elasticized band at the top.

Well, the extra-large socks have the same problem. In fact, after laundering, they appear to be the same size as the regulars, except that the leg part is slightly longer. I’m tempted to cut the very top off of this pair with some pinking shears.

I bought these socks as a gift for my dad, and he loves them! He needed a sock that was taller than the wool socks he usually wears with his cowboy boots when he rides, as the wool socks don’t prevent rubbing and pinching from the boots.

But these do! He likes that they are mostly cotton, though he would prefer 100% cotton. The socks are a little tight, he says, but he wears a shoe size 9, which is right in between sock sizes medium and large; I bought a medium for him.

They aren’t uncomfortably tight, though. Being cotton, these socks are also thinner than the wool ones my dad usually wear, but he says that he likes that; in the event of his foot getting stuck in the stirrup or something like that, his boots fit loosely enough that they will just slide right off.

It’s hard to tell about the quality, as they haven’t been washed many times, but they do seem to be durable and well-made. Overall, they are very nice socks! Comfort: 5 Durability: 4.

I got these in the February Heart to Horse Box, and I have been wearing them ever since. They are a nice heavyweight cotton that stands up well to daily use. I wear these under my Wellies for cleaning stalls, turning horses out, etc.

and I love that they prevent my boots from chafing my calves. They don’t slip down while I’m riding, either. They’re too thick to fit under my snug, tall field boots, but perfect with paddock, muck, or cowboy boots.

I wear a size 8. 5 in women’s shoes and have a narrow calf, and the medium boot socks fit really well. They didn’t shrink when I washed them in hot water with bleach but pleasantly stayed true to size.

I’ll definitely order more to replace those eaten by the mysterious sock-eating monster in the laundry! Comfort: 5 Durability: 5.

I bought these to go underneath the rubber boots I have to wear at work and I’m very glad I bought them! They are extremely comfortable and they stay up all day. I will definitely be buying more of these in the future!.

I’m committed to finding undergarments that are 1) ethically made, 2) sustainably produced, 3) comfortable, and 4) long-lasting. After having outstanding success with Boody bras and undies, I decided to give the low-cut sneaker socks a try.

I started by purchasing a single “trial” pair. Admittedly, I’m not someone with exceptional sock needs or expectations. I just desire a black, low-profile sock I can wear to work on a daily basis. I found these socks true to size with no uncomfortable seams.

They are thin with foot-hugging stretch/support. The heels did not retract in to my shoe (my ultimate sock pet peeve). After several wears, I can say confidently these socks will meet my basic needs! I only hope the thin fabric does not translate in to a “short life.

” I plan to buy a bunch more pairs for daily wear.

Lovely and light. I’m on my feet all day and these are nice and cool. I did prefer the softer fabric of the old version and also how the logo and toe area was sewn. This version you can feel the logo as it seems to be stitched quite thick but after awhile you don’t notice it.

Toe area seems to stick out higher around 2nd last toe on socks so need to adjust when putting them on. Once on and walking around you dont notice these things so just a small issue.

After literally years of hearing my husband complain about socks, I bought these for him. He likes to wear “old school type” over-the-calf socks every day with his work boots. He says he loves these Westerners.

Thank God! I think we finally found the “unicorn” socks here. He is happy that they stay up all day, have good cushioning, aren’t too tight around the calf, and absorb the sweat without making his feet too hot or cold.

He says they are comfortable to wear with his steel-toed boots. I do wash them in cold water and hang them to air dry. I know they say you can put these in the dryer, but I just want to be paranoid and preserve their perfection forever! I also bought him the heavier weight Tactical socks, which he loves too! Yes, these socks are a bit pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for. The features and quality are worth it. Just get over the price and do your (or your husband’s feet) a favor! After trying these socks for a week, my husband ended up getting rid of all his other over-the-calf socks that were made by five other manufacturers such as Gold Toe, Hanes, Justin, Carhart, and Tractor Supply’s brand.

No more sock complaining from this man! Finally!.

As this was my first purchase I ordered the wrong sizes. I have swollen legs due to Type 2 diabetes and the short shocks formed a deep grove in my calf due to the way too small cuffs. The long socks were just too small.

to get on. I sent the socks to my Sister in law to give to a friend as a surprise present. I suggest you develop a set of extra wide socks for people with swollen legs. They should have proper length foot and be extra wide around the ankles and calf.

with a very soft cuff. In my case I wear size 8 6E shoes but my ankle is 11″ and my calf is 19″ in circumference. I can purchase short socks through Hitchcock Wide Shoes but these are not as warm or as well padded as your product.

Perhaps you could design socks for diabetics with swollen feet and legs. Given the high quality of your socks this could become a profitable addition to your line. I really liked your socks but I could not wear them.

The socks fit great. They were just a little loose prior to washing. After washing they feel perfect. Here’s my wish. I wish black was available and I prefer more cushion. My foot is somewhere around size 11 to 11.

5. I wanted to get back to wool socks following my recent (4 months ago) purchase of western style boots. Due to this style, I need a taller sock shaft over the over Darn Tough socks I was using. This is one of the styles I experimented with.

Two other style I am trying at this time are the tall work book socks and the tactical socks. I’m happy to be using Darn Tough socks again. I just need to narrow my scope a bit in order to dial in my fit and feel with these western boots.

A very comfy sock. I’m a carpenter, so I’m on my feet all day, and these are a perfect work boot sock. Nice padding to support the foot, and a soft material that feels great. I also go on long hikes and find the socks to hold up well.

The only reason I give 4 rather than 5 stars is the fact they take awhile to dry after washing. This could be annoying if you’re doing a multi day hike and need wet socks to dry over night/quickly.

The Men’s Invisible Active Sports Sock (black) is really thin. They don’t really add any comfort to the shoe. I’d prefer not to wear socks. I also purchased the Men’s Active Sports Sock (white). These are a bit more comfortable.

I don’t mind spending money on premium socks but I feel both these socks are expensive for what they are.

These fit so nicely, and are tough socks. AND they come in brown and black! It’s hard to find socks that are not crazy colors. I’m so glad I discovered these. I ordered MANY pairs (:

These socks are the best I have tried so far under my western boots. They are just the right thickness and elastic. I will be buying these from now on!

This is my first time using Marino wool socks but I had high hopes as I was told they keep your feet drier. They are SUPER comfortable and fit well. I tried them out on a 6 mile ruck and while they felt good, my feet still felt wet at the end and got a small blister on my toe.

I ruck and run a lot using cheap socks from Costco and don’t ever have problems with blisters, so this was a bit disappointing. I’m going to assume that they need to be broken in a bit like shoes. For the high price tag I was hoping for more, but they are comfortable and thick and may be better suited for winter activity.

This is the second time I ordered these socks. The last pairs I bought lasted for four or five years with constant wearing for outside work! They are a good calf length, stay in place all day and wash well! I just hope they never discontinue making these because they are my favorite!.

Being active duty military for 20 years having to wear boots, I know a thing or two about quality socks. I can honestly say these are superior to most…certainly to all I have ever tried before. I enjoyed them so much I recently ordered more.

I’m in my boots sometimes 16 hours a day! They have never slipped, felt tight, or felt uncomfortable. I highly recommend!.

When I decided to try some Enhanced Everyday socks, I ordered some Work Boot socks for Hubs to try out. He was very hesitant when I said they were wool blend, worried that they would be thick or itchy.

The second they arrived he put them on and I wasn’t sure he’d ever take them off again. He’s a motor equipment operator in Upstate NY, so we’re heading into snow plowing season, and just general coldness wearing work boots outside.

He has been thrilled and vigorously agreed when I asked if he wanted more!.

In 2017 I purchased multiple pairs of the Lucchese wool boot socks size 9 to 13. I really like them. Thus I wanted a few more in different colors. I order them in black, blue, and grey, size 9 to 13, the only ones offered on line.

The socks shipped to me in March 2018 state the size 9 to 13, although they are more like the sizing of 13 to 15, if not even larger. So much larger, the heel pad slips all the way past my heel and above my ankle.

Being pleased with the 2017 purchase, I thought nothing of keeping the return slip and packing, just have not had the time to return. Would be nice to return items to a local Lucchese store that was purchased at Lucchese.

com. Not sure I will purchase these nor the synthetic again due to this on line again.

I am very pleased with the fit and quality of these boot socks with one exception. The heels began to pill (the little balls that accumulate on a wool sweater) on one pair after the first use. The others have not done so.

I wash them in cold water and hang them over a rack to dry, so I don’t think it was the washing method. Have been a fan of Lucchese for 30+ years.

I am always on the look out for Merino wool socks, especially when wearing my (Lucchese) cowboy boots. I was naturally interested in Luccheses’ socks. When the socks arrived and I tried them on, I was disappointed in that the socks were much thinner than I expected and the elastic material was very tight, so much so that the socks were difficult to get on my feet.
