There are a number of products that can be effective for hyperpigmentation on the face. These include topical creams and serums that contain ingredients like hydroquinone, kojic acid, and azelaic acid.
There are also prescription medications that can be used to treat hyperpigmentation, such as tretinoin, corticosteroids, and light therapy.
20 Best Product For Hyperpigmentation On Face
1. It Cosmetics Bye Bye Dark Spots Niacinamide Serum
Bye Bye Dark Spots Concentrated Derm Serum is your dermatologist-tested treatment for dark spots on face. Formulated with 4% niacinamide and 1% ethyl vitamin C, this hyperpigmentation serum visibly reduces dark spots and discoloration while helping improve your skin’s clarity.
Suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive, this brightening serum is your solution for age spots, melasma and other types of discoloration. Get ready to say “BYE BYE” to dark spots. More even-toned skin is here!.
I’ve been using this for serval weeks now & the results from using just this one product & my regular moisturizer has been amazing. I was skeptical at first because I’ve never had good reactions to vitamin c serums in the past but decided to give this a solid try anyway.
To give this product the ultimate test I decided to cut out everything in my skincare routine except for this serum, my cleanser & moisturizer to see what the results what be. OMG!! For reference I have (or had;) sensitive oily combo skin with extremely large pores around my t zone that would turn into an oil slick after applying any skincare or makeup products.
After using this product for nearly a month, my pores went from HUGE craters to being normal, barely noticeable & my oiliness is almost completely gone even after applying makeup!! I am soo beyond trilled at the results and will be buying this from now on! I never want to run out, ever! It makes my skin look flawless even with no makeup on, plus my makeup apply’s more evenly & looks flawless.
No more filters needed on my pics 😍😁 My skin is overall brighter, smoother, my fine lines are nearly obsolete & my pores look amazing! My only complaint is the smell is kinda off putting, not sure what it is but it’s not a pleasant smell.
It isn’t so bad that I wouldn’t use it or buy it again & it fades quickly, but it definitely has a unique (not in a good way) smell. For me this is no longer an issue since I’ve been sick with C***d for the last 2 weeks & have lost my sense of smell :/ And while a minor complaint, I don’t like how the directions say to use “4-5 drops” but it has a pump dispenser which makes it very hard to dispense just 4-5 tiny drops so I’ve been using about 1.
5 – 2 pumps which for me is my golden number, any less & it’s not enough for my whole face, anymore & it leaves my face too sticky. So you’ll have to play around to find the right amount for you, just don’t use too much because your face will be SUPER sticky.
I find that as long as I use the correct amount the stickiness goes away once I apply my moisturizer. Overall, I give this product a 10/10 & would definitely HIGHLY recommend to everyone!!.
As a person working in beauty, I’m pleasantly surprised with the potency! I love this serum! It reminds me a bit of CE Ferulic from Skinceuticals, just way cheaper lol. People are complaining it’s watery but what they don’t realize is that silicones and fillers in other products makes serums hydrating or thicker in texture, those things actually lower the effectiveness in vitamin c but this product doesn’t have those ingredients inside.
I literally see a difference in my skin in one use. It’s definitely an active vitamin c, it stings a bit, not unbearable though. I see a difference in hyperpigmentation if I use after I exfoliate at night and use spf during the day (spf is non-negotiable if you want to get rid of dark spots).
Really a game changer, I’ll be purchasing once I run out! Happy my friend gifted this to me!.
I don’t quite understand the “waste of money” reviews, but everyone’s skin acts and reacts differently is all I can conclude on that. As for me? I’m only three regimens in (coupling it with the gel lotion recommended in the details) and my face feels so smooth whereas before it was “textured”.
I haven’t noticed that much of a difference with my pores, and I have LARGE ones, but I noticed -some- difference and that’s enough for me. I think the key to using this serum is “patting it in” rather than rubbing it in, which is noted in the ‘how to use’ instructions.
But I can run a hand over my cheeks and there’s only smoothness on the surface each morning when, before finding this, felt like a rough road. I’ve never had an acne issue so I can’t attest to that, but it hasn’t given me any either.
Woulda rated this 5 stars however I’ll give it a month to see if it does the job with the pores like I hope it’s going to because I just love love love how it makes my face feel. My complexion, often red and uneven, has gotten incredibly better as well.
Melanin is a natural pigment that gives color to skin. Exposure to sunlight, hormonal influences and aging can cause an increase in melanin production and trigger hyperpigmentation. Hyperpigmentation appears as dark patches and age spots (also known as sun spots) that make skin look uneven.
Eucerin Anti-Pigment Night Cream contains Thiamidol, an effective and patented ingredient that acts at the root cause of hyperpigmentation by reducing melanin production. It is clinically and dermatologically proven to reduce dark spots and prevent their re-appearance.
First results are visible after two weeks and improve continuously with regular use. The night cream also contains Dexpanthenol – an active ingredient known to support skin regeneration overnight. Skin appears even and radiant.
How to use Apply in the evening to a well-cleansed face, neck and décolleté Gently massage into skin Avoid contact with eyes For optimal results, use in combination with Eucerin Anti-Pigment Day Cream SPF30 and Eucerin Anti-Pigment Spot Corrector Apply each product in the range once a day.
Use a maximum of four applications of products containing Thiamidol per day.
I bought the Eucerin day and night anti-pigment creams as I have a horrible sunspot on my forehead which I am desperately trying to get rid of. I bought the day and night cream back in June 2020 and I have been using them both every day and night religiously.
It is now October 2020 and there is still cream left so they are great value! The cream is for all skin types and my skin is very dry. It absorbs well into my skin. It is not very moisturising so I do have to use other creams on top of the night cream.
The instructions do say not to add heavy moisturiser but my skin is unbearably dry! I like that the day cream has SPF30 so that in itself does protect against anti-pigment. Sadly for me the sun spot is still there.
I think it will take a miracle to get rid of it, or a trip to see a professional. However, I will still continue to use this cream as I do think that I need to give it six months or so to see any difference.
Noting works overnight. I will continue to purchase the day and night cream.
Delivery was easy and quick. This product actually works for melasma and I have tried a lot of products that are way more expensive. I noticed a difference within the first week, two weeks later and ny melasma is breaking up and much lighter.
I am genuinely surprised as I wasn’t expecting such good results as melasma is stubborn and hard to fix! The products I have been using stop it getting worse but haven’t got rid of it at all. This product is well worth the investment and I will continue using for the foreseeable.
Better than hydroquinone, tretinoin, retinol etc Highly recommend if you have melasma or hyperpigmentation.
I have had melasma from my first pregnancy from 5 yrs ago that until now just couldn’t shift. It’s just under my mouth on either side, so you can imagine how that looks lol. I have tried the ordinary retinol, alpha arbutin, aha + bha and niod elaan and pigmentation and non of the above gave satisfactory results even after 3 months or more of use.
I am blown away by eucerin antipigment. I bought the sunscreen and the dual serum. I applied the serum twice a day and the screen at least twice a day as I really believe that melasma is aggravated by the sun.
This is gentle – no irritation no stinging on sensitive skin, nothing. The only criticism is that the dual serum tends to pill if you put the sunscreen on top. However this doesn’t seem to effect it’s efficacy.
Definitely noticeable results after 2 weeks. I would say actually after a week. I have no idea how this is possible because the melanocytes are supposed to be really deep within the skin. My melasma is 95% gone after 2 weeks.
PowerBright Dark Spot Serum is formulated with high-tech active ingredients that start working quickly. It visibly reduces dark spots in just a few days and works over a longer period of time for smoother, more even skin.
Makes dark spots disappear in just a few days. Helps prevent future dark spots. Brightens the skin and enhances its natural luminosity. Application Apply one pump every morning after cleansing and toning.
I am a big fan of Dermalogic skin care products because they work! Dermalogic gifted me the Dermalogic PowerBright Dark Spot Serum to test and review. I don’t have that many dark spots on my face but I do have one or two spots that have appeared a couple of years ago and I would say that they’re a little bit pesky because I’ve tried numerous products and nothing has worked.
But with this new product from Dermalogic, it’s unbelievable how great it has worked for me thus far. I’ve used this product for about a week now and I have a dark spot that has been fading away fairly quickly.
Before I would be able to see the dark spot peak through my foundation or concealer no matter how full coverage the product was. Since using the Dermalogic spot serum, the dark spot has significantly diminished in size and has incredibly faded significantly.
I feel much more confident now not having to wear a lot of heavy make up in order to conceal dark spots. Not only has this serum helped with the fading of my dark spots but it has also brightened my skins complexion.
This is definitely a product that I will be using constantly in my skincare routine and I will be purchasing this serum as soon as I run out. I am so in love with this dark spot serum that I have been recommending and raving about it to all my friends and family.
I’ve spent so long looking for a product to lighten my many dark spots and help with my uneven skin tone, which was the result of many years of me neglecting my skin. This product has, by far, given me the best results out of everything I’ve tried.
I use 1 pump every morning and follow with my moisturiser and sunscreen. Even my extremely stubborn dark spots have begun to fade, much to my surprise! I completely stopped all my other skincare that worked on dark spots , just so I could gauge just how well this product did as a stand alone.
The results were very impressive, dark spots I’ve not been able to budge in the past are beginning to lighten & my complexion looks more even. 1 pump , applied directly to the dark patches absorbs super fast , does not pill up under makeup or other skincare and is just in general a very easy step to add to your routine that not only yields fabulous & fast results but also won’t mess with any other products added on top.
There was no offensive smell , it was not sticky nor did it sit on top of the skin. Thus product is a winner. Just for reference, I have 46 yr old skin that I’ve only started looking after in the past few years , so I have quite a lot of damage to deal with.
I will continue to use this serum as I’ve seen these results in 2 weeks of use – I can’t wait to see what a few more weeks will do !.
Joining Glow Recipe’s ranks of hardworking serums, the Guava Vitamin C + Ferulic Dark Spot Serum targets dark spots and hyperpigmentation before, during and after formation. Brightening and resurfacing, this Guava Vitamin C + Ferulic Dark Spot Serum from Glow Recipe is a must-try thanks to its heavy-hitting formula that targets dark spots and hyperpigmentation before, during and after formation.
Uniting a trifecta of – takes a deep breath – vitamin C, ferulic acid vitamin E, guava extract and resurfacing acids, it creates an effective yet gentle formula to help unveil bright, smooth skin sans dark spots and hyperpigmentation.
Formulated to remain stable with time, this beautiful baby pink serum won’t discolour.
Wow! I can’t begin to express my gratitude to glow recipe for creating such an amazing product. As someone who suffers from dark spots due to acne and hyperpigmentation, nothing has worked until I started using glow recipe’s vitamin c serum.
As long as you have a solid skincare routine with products that target dark spots and hyperpigmentation, this should work for you as well. I have EXTREMELY dry skin so I double moisturize to combat that.
I’m currently using tatcha’s rice wash cleanser, paula’s choice (on days where I don’t wear makeup and don’t double cleanse/exfoliate with peace out blemish balm), glow recipe vitamin c serum, and skin fix+ moisturizer along with cerave moisturizing cream.
The bumps on my face have disappeared, I see less and less redness on my cheek area AND my acne scars are fading. Like any other product, it’s not going to work unless you have other products to help combat your concerns.
It’s definitely on the pricey side but I feel it’ll go a long way. I saw major improvement after 3-4 days of use. I usually do one pump and it’s enough to cover my entire face. I also chose this one because it’s a whole lot cheaper than some of the other brands on Sephora.
I wanted to love this product but ultimately was not happy with the results. The jury’s still out on whether this did much to improve my dark spots. Pros: – The bottle is adorable. – The fruity smell is very pleasant.
– The serum is a nice texture (not super sticky), felt nice upon application, and absorbed quickly. Cons: – As several folks here have already mentioned, the adorable bottle is also SUPER impractical.
The pump tube does not go all the way into the bottle so you cannot get all the serum out with just the pump. Fortunately the pump comes off and luckily I have makeup spatulas handy (a MUST have, by the way), and I was able to get all $45 worth of product out of the bottle that way.
– It’s $45, and based on other reviews as well as my own experience, the results are hit or miss. There are vitamin C serums out there for less than half the price of this that are just as effective if not more.
I bought this product to see if paying more money would get me an even more effective vitamin C serum, but I don’t think i’ve concluded that that’s the case, and will probably go back to what I was buying from Amazon.
Other notes: -The entire bottle lasted me one month with daily use (used it twice on a few days). I would say give this a try if you are willing to do a $45 experiment. Otherwise look elsewhere.
I have dry, sensitive skin, and I can be sensitive to Vitamin C serums. I have tried several high-end Vitamin C serums. All have caused warming of the skin and flushing. This product does cause some warming and flushing of my cheeks, but it hasn’t dried me out, or caused any lasting or worsening sensitivities.
That is something I can appreciate. I do need to use Vitamin C in my routine for brightening, evening skin tone, and removal of hyperpigmentation/dark spots. I have seen some promising early results with brightness and some fading of dark spots.
Though, I’m only a little more than a month into using this product. From what I’ve seen, I will definitely keep using this product and repurchase. This is the best Vitamin C Serum I’ve used by far. I do love it.
It is not thick and sticky, and it doesn’t pill. It doesn’t leave a weird residue on your skin. It goes on very smoothly, and spreads smoothly and evenly. It sinks right into the skin, and gets to work brightening and removing dark spots.
It also plays well with other products, and serums. Though, I do like to give it a few minutes to soak in, before layering serums and moisturizers on top. The scent is lovely and fruity, but not overpowering.
It’s light to moderate, in my opinion. The opaque glass bottle is lux and beautiful, and the pump is well-designed. The pump has never caused me any problems. I like the pump a lot better than a dropper.
This serum is definitely a winner, and I highly recommend.
Our direct acid is formulated with a potent level of tranexamic and other skin brighteners including kojic acid, niacinamide and licorice, which work synergistically to help fade the look of dark spots and hyperpigmentation.
This product contains tranexamic acid, an amino acid derivative that inhibits tyrosinase synthesis in melanocytes, blocks transfer of pigment from melanocytes to keratinocytes in the epidermis, and is highly tolerability for all skin types.
The pH level of this formula is 5. 0-6. 2, to ensure optimal potency and support skin health. To Use: Shake well. Apply an even layer onto face, neck and chest, avoiding the eye area. For best results, follow with a moisturizer.
If mild sensitivity or redness occurs, reduce frequency of use until skin adjusts. Wear SPF during the day. Patch test prior to use is advised.
I am really loving this serum! I was previously using a different brand (with a lower % of TA) and noticed some slight improvement in my PIH but my skin is responding better to this formulation. My hyperpigmentation is fading more quickly and my skin feels soothed and refreshed.
This is part of my evening skincare routine; I’ve found it fits in well with my other products and treatments. I have reactive but normal skin and hormonal acne that tends to break out along my chin.
I also have both PIH and PIE on my cheeks from a bad bout of cystic acne I had while my skin barrier was compromised, so my goals are both to address hyperpigmentation and to continue to protect my barrier.
I use the Alpha Arbutin serum in the morning and this Tranexamic Acid at night as an all-over treatment to address PIH. My other steps are a gentle cleanser, prebiotic essence, dapsone, retinol (3x/wk), and gentle moisturizer.
I’ve been impressed with how gentle and effective Naturium products are and this acid is no different. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who is struggling with PIH.
I wanted to love Naturium so much despite all of the criticism floating around. I thought I’d give the products an unbiased try. 1. Product efficacy: No results, if anything makes my skin worst and emphasize pore size and fine lines.
I use all Paula’s Choice which is not too much more in price especially with sales AND not only do products work, they make your skin look beautiful throughout the day. 2. Product texture: The brand claims to be better than The Ordinary in terms of how the skin absorbs the product.
The products are tacky, sticky, and lay on top of your skin rather than absorbing into your skin. 3: Brand approach: Manipulative all around. They will offer you a discount without warning that if you do apply the discount you cannot return the item.
Does not foster consumer loyalty or communicate the brands own faith in their products.
I have light asian skin with stubborn dark patches after IPL. Tried acid peels, picosure laser, and tranexamic acid tablets with minimal improvement. This product has helped lighten my dark spots on my cheeks by at least 50%.
Tranexamic acid blocks melanin activity. I used this every morning with a vit c serum beneath my spf 50 sunblock, and then again at night with an antioxidant (CE ferulic) serum glytone brightening complex, for 5 months.
This product is much more effective than the Skinmedica Lytera 2. 0. I have sensitive skin and have had no reactions. It has no fragrance and absorbs fairly well, but you have to give it a minute. Will continue to use.
Get even with the SkinMedica LYTERA 2. 0 Pigment Correcting Serum; a pioneering discoloration treatment expertly formulated to address the most stubborn dark spots and hyperpigmentation. Suitable for all skin types and tones, the advanced serum combines Tranexamic Acid and Phenylethyl Resorcinol to help correct and balance melanin production for a more even tone.
Niacinamide and Tetrapeptide-30 work in tandem to combat the development of new spots, while a Marine Extract Blend supports a healthy barrier function for enhanced protection from sun damage. Delivering improvements in texture and tone within as little as two weeks and dramatic progress after continued monthly use, the serum helps you to achieve a refined and more unified complexion.
Non-comedogenic. Free from retinol, hydroquinone, parabens and fragrance.
After using this Skinmedia Lytera 2. 0 for about 1 month, twice per day with one pump, morning and night. I found my skin is obviously more brightening and whiter compared to my previous status. Previously I have a common redness and not even skin color.
This product is more effective on me than SK2 serum. Will definitely keep using it. It doesn’t have any smell that is perfect for me. The texture is also the right smoothness but not silicone oil feeling and easy to apply to the whole face.
Excellent product. I’m a very picky girl on these kinds of whitening products because seldom do I find really useful products. Most of them are just so-so without real change. But this one makes me really really satisfied.
You can even see the subtle change in the mirror day after day. When you meet your friend after one month, they will definitely find you’re shining with really glowing and healthy skin! If you’re trying to find a real problem solver, this is the last one you definitely need to try.
My dermatologist recommended this for me. Per his suggestion, I do not use it all over my face, just on the sides, where I have a lot of age spots. It’s been very effective in lightening them and some have disappeared completely.
I also use it on my chest for all the sun damage I have there, and it’s worked very well there as well. There is one area where I have NOT seen results: the bridge of my nose up near my eyes. I don’t know what’s different about that area, but something is because it’s so effective everywhere else, but if I’m giving an honest review I want to point out that I’m now on my second bottle and that little area is just not responding.
I use it in all of these areas every day, once in the morning and once at night. It’s expensive, but a little goes a long way. I do recommend this product.
On my second bottle and about to purchase a third. Using this in tandem with the. 25 retinol. I have very fair skin and in the past decade to my chagrin have started to see very dark forehand melasma and melasma around my eyes.
I’ve also had some red spots on my cheeks that I’ve had for decades and tried everything to get rid of. My skin also flares up with food allergies that can leave behind red marks that take time to fade.
This has dramatically faded the melasma and red spots and fades the allergy flares more quickly. I was spending ages blending make-up and concealer to hide the melasma and red spots and now find that it’s to the point where on most days I’ll dab only a little concealer, if any.
The worst red spot is almost completely gone and my dermatologist wanted to use lasers at one point. My skin is much brighter and glowy and I’m quite pleased. It’s a tiny bit tacky but blends well under moisturizer and sunblock and/or any make-up.
One of the most effective serums for helping fade hyperpigmentation, dark spots and melasma. Due to its unique blend of ingredients, this formula outperforms other hydroquinone products and creams. This is a potent, yet extremely effective product.
Some sensitive skin types may experience a slight burning sensation. While this it normal, you may want to use the product every third day to begin with and build up to more frequent use. You will also want to follow with a high quality, nourishing moisturizer and always wear SPF during the day.
This is my most life changing product. I generally have slightly sensitive skin and hyperpigmentation issues. My neck has been dark for years with very little improvement. I went to the dermatologist and was told it would only go if I lost weight, I’m about 20lbs overweight now but I’ve had this issue when I was well within the range.
I went to a GP who said I may be pre-diabetic/diabetic, I did some tests which came back normal so he prescribed a steroid to lighten it. I tried that as well as scrubs, lemon, , vitamin c, like all of [brand:the-ordinary-21] AHAs, a few prescription drugs and more over the years.
You name it, I tried it or a product with the same key ingredient. Some worked but none came close to bringing my skin to its normal. I got desperate after I took a passport photo and it looked like I had a black chain around my neck.
This was the Amazon’s best seller for skin lightening. Just look at my neck now ! I’m so proud of my progress and I’m not ashamed of my neck anymore. All I’ve done is use a thin layer product every other day and within 3 months it’s made a great change.
I use sunscreen as I always did and I apply moisturizer to help with the stripping and dry/ashy skin I get every now and again. I’d 110% recommend if you have issues with dark areas, just be careful with how you apply it, start only twice a week, thin layers then build up to every other day.
Don’t use acids on the area, don’t use on acne/wounds, use sunscreen, moisturize and be patient!.
I love this product! I suffer from an auto immune disorder and I’m finding that my skin is becoming more and more sensitive. This product is perfect. My eyes do not burn and my skin feels nourished. The amount of fragrance is just right.
And I’ve turned others onto Bert’s Bees since ordering it. I’m also purchasing more products in their line. I highly recommend it. Plus it is a great value!.
I am a woman of color and used this product for about two months to spot treat acne scars. At FIRST, the scars started fading but the lightening spread past the area of application, and my face became more sensitized.
I lowered usage to every other day, and then once a week. I was aware that my skin would start peeling but after the peel a splotch of skin on my cheek was significantly lighter than the rest of my face (Reminder – I was only applying to skin that was darker as a result of my acne scars), and this area expanded past where I applied the product.
This hypopigmented part was a rough texture that constantly peeled. There was another spot on my face that suffered this texture as well. Six months, multiple moisturizers, a visit to an esthetician, and another visit to my doctor later my skin is finally on the right track.
I would up having to use products that post-procedure patients use and had to work on replenishing my moisture barrier as the product thoroughly ruined it. It would be my esthetician who informed this type of lightening presents a bigger risk to women of color.
My takeaway – if you have darker skin TREAD WITH CAUTION. Pay close attention to how your skin responds and stop using it should your skin become more sensitive. Be aware that this product may cause hydroquinone halo and cause lightening outside the desired area.
If you know you have sensitive skin – turn around now. It WORKS. but buyer beware.

I wish I could post pics of before and after. The serum is not the only makarI product am using, I use the toning cream, lotion, soap, glycerine of the extreme carrot range. I had acne plus pigmentation, dry skin, ringworm patches, I visited the best of dermatologist here in Dallas to no avail, I bought anything in the hope it works but my face and skin only got worst.
My boyfriend became a shame to go out with me. I felt so inferior. Then a friend in Charlotte told me about makari, first I looked up and thought it was expensive being am just a cashier. I saved up on both the whole range, it was like a miracle, just 4days my face was cleared, all acne gone, from dry skin to smooth skin, I smile all day when customers tell me how beautiful I look without make up, it’s been 3years since someone last appreciated my skin.
I highly recommend if u there’s anyway I can put pics to show you all the magic on my face and skin I will. can’t wait to hit the beach this summer.
I have been using the skin repairing clarifying serum for over a year. All I can say is there is nothing like it in the market! Period!! My skin is glowing, no acne marks or dark circle around my eyes.

Just wanted to say this thing really works!!! I’ve been using it for 3 weeks now and my dark spots on my face is almost gone! I have tried different products, dermatologist (prescribed hydroquinone), IPL, dermabrasion, etc.
and nothing works. I read a lot of good reviews about this and that’s why I bought it. I can see the difference in 1 week on my face. I took picture every week and it’s a big difference. Now my face looks younger and can go without make up.
Before I can still see the dark spot even though I was wearing a lot of concealer. Now I don’t have to go heavy any more. I LOVE THIS SERUM! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! I have pictures to prove it!.

Good for all skin type. Formulated with 3% Topical TXA, 1% Kojic Acid, 5% Niacinamide and 5% HEPES. These 4 ingredients each target a different step of discoloration formation in the skin, to fade and prevent stubborn pigments from reoccurring.
Discoloration Defense is a gentle, layerable, daily-use dark spot brightening serum.
I love skinceuticals, and have used many of their products for several years. I noticed a sunspot and was ordering Emollience anyway, so I figured I’d try the discoloration defense. I use it daily, as recommended, with my SC cleansers and moisturizers.
Some days I feel like my skin tone looks more even and some days I feel like I see a shadow where I may have not blended the product as much. This effect changes daily so I figure it’s not set in stone how the product works.
Overall, I like it. There is no odor, it absorbs well and appears to work. I will probably purchase this product again!.
Honestly, this stuff is amazing. I’m 36, and I deal with melasma, and PIE left over from breakouts. This product has quite a few beneficial ingredients at great percentages to live up to it’s claims.
Niacinamide, Tranexamic acid, Kojic acid, etc. All ingredients to reverse and prevent hyperpigmentation, melasma, and heal PIH & PIE. Whenever I breakout, I’m super fair so I’m always left with a red mark.
This makes them disappear quickly whereas they used to last for over a year. I’m not saying this is a one-and-done product since fighting melasma & PIE is a real bugger, but this truly helps. It’s so lightweight, soaks in super quickly, and doesn’t leave a residue.
Plays nice with other products. I’ve repurchased many times! I feel like this product is so underrated, and deserves much more of the spotlight. Give it time- I think it took 6+ months for me to really see a difference.
Paired with other actives like azaleic acid, glycolic, retinol, vitamin c, and AHA/BHA products. I think you’ll see this really boosts results!.
Even the look of skin tone with the Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA from innovative skincare brand The Ordinary. The concentrated serum combines purified alpha arbutin and hyaluronic acid to help minimise the appearance of age spots, hyperpigmentation and discolouration.
Lightweight and fast-absorbing, the jumbo-sized serum lends brightening properties thanks to 2% alpha arbutin that works to reduce the production of melanin. Complete with a pipette for fuss-free application.
Free from alcohol, silicone, nuts and gluten. Vegan and cruelty-free.
I’ve had acne for 20 years and have recently decided to try to clear my face once and for all. I am currently using Differin gel every third night and this azalaic acid on the other two nights inbetween.
This has really been helping me. The Differin gel alone was doing its job but I was experiencing a mild-moderate ‘purge’ and started to get flashbacks to the days when my acne was really active. For this reason I nearly stopped the Differin altogether.
I had been using the azalaic acid before I started Differin (I was advised to stop it when I started the retinoid by my prescriber) and remembered how much it calmed my skin down and stopped the inflammation.
It was at that point that I started using it alongside the Differin – applying the azalaic acid for two nights and then the Differin on the third. Since starting this (5 weeks ago) my skin looks visibly better every day.
I’m still experiencing a very mild purge on the night that I use the Differin, but after putting on the azalaic acid the next night, the spots are significantly less angry (and in the case of the smaller ones, disappear completely) and my hyperpigmentation from previous spots is visibly brighter the next day.
I was originally planning on trying to build up my retinoid to every night and getting a stronger percentage of azalaic acid; however, this is going so well, I think I’m going to leave things as they are.
If the rate of improvement continues, I think that my skin will be completely clear and most of the scars will be gone in the next 3-6 months. I’m so glad I found this – especially at such a great price! If anyone using it experiences dryness or irritation, I recommend using it over a light moisturiser.
This is what I do (sensitive skin) and it has stopped the small amount of dryness I was experiencing but is no less effective on the acne!.
So far so good. Heard wonderful things about alpha-arbutin from professional YouTube creators. This is known to help with hyperpigmentation. This product also includes HA, which is a good form of hydration and skin moisturizing benefits.
Recommend still using a moisturizer on top to seal in the HA. I have not used it long enough to notice a permanent reduction in dark spots, however I do like that my skin looks very hydrated and dewy after applying.
Will repurchase. Also this product can be layered with other actives, however seek professional advice before doing so. I am doing a total revamp of my skin care products, started because I was running low, ran out, or products expired, which is great because I was using products that were not great for my skin type and had harsh ingredients and scents.
Also since watching and researching skin care it is now more important to me then ever. My prior skin care products I purchased from esthetician’s, and with me not being properly educated in what my skin truly needs (especially for skin of color which is way more sensitive) I was using products I had high sensitivity too or again that were to harsh for my skin type.
I also started reading the inky list (ingredients) myself. As someone who developed acne at 29 years old, I have no prior knowledge. I’m truly learning as if I am a teenager. I forgot how sensitive my skin used to be, but thinking because now I’m acne prone that my skin sensitivity just went away.
I will officially have a skin analysis from a dermatologist, I do believe I am “combination leaning towards oily, acne and hormonal prone, with sensitivity. Regardless I want to treat my skin as if it were sensitive, one reason being I am highly sensitive to many popular skin care ingredients, for example Niacinamide.
Never cared really for Glycolic Acid, come to find out it can be very harsh for skin of color. Needless to say this product did not cause any irritation therefore we already starting off well.
Having never purchased this before, I had no issue with my bottle being peach in color and tried it straight away. I’m pretty fair skinned but olive complexion, and for the past decade have been developing dark “staining” on my cheeks and forehead, I assume from sun damage.
I would not have cared so much had it not been for one bright white line going through one cheek, like someone had dragged an eraser through the staining. It was just way too noticeable. My skin is incredibly dry, and I use both oils and lotions every day.
I opted to try this product on its own the first day to test for reactions. I’m not sure why so many people are saying this is moisturizing, because my skin was screaming for moisture for the first few hours but eventually leveled out.
But that was the only negative for me. With reading the reviews, I completely expected to be using this for at least a month before noticing any difference. But that was not the case at all. I noticed the bright white line softened and darkness around it lightened the very next morning.
I layered it under sea buckhorn oil the next morning, which is something my skin loves. They worked very well together, but the AA somehow made the oil less oily and more absorbent. It’s been a week of applying under the oil every morning and again at night (over the oil applied in the morning, without washing my face as I don’t wear makeup) and the staining is about 50% gone.
I’m both shocked and amazed and wish I had searched for this product sooner.
Effectively reduces dark spots and prevents their re-appearance A topical applicator with Thiamidol that offers a precision solution for small areas of hyperpigmentation. Melanin is a natural pigment that gives colour to skin.
Exposure to sunlight, hormonal influences and ageing can cause an increase in melanin production and trigger hyperpigmentation. Hyperpigmentation appears as dark patches and age spots (also known as sun spots) that make skin look uneven.
Eucerin Anti-Pigment Spot Corrector is a non-greasy gel with a topical applicator that makes it easy to apply precisely to small areas of hyperpigmentation. It contains Thiamidol, an effective and patented ingredient that acts at the root cause of hyperpigmentation by reducing melanin production.
Applied directly to dark spots, it is clinically and dermatologically proven to reduce them and prevent their re-appearance. First results are visible after two weeks and improve continuously with regular use.
Skin appears more even. Please note, that box may have storage marks.
Eucerin Anti-Pigment Spot Corrector is helping to fade the pigment patches on my face which I got from sunbathing when I was younger. I like the easy to use applicator, and the product itself is gentle on the skin – it doesn’t sting like other products I have tried.
I’ve been using it a for just a few weeks, and every day I see an improvement. I will continue using it as it is really helping to fade my spots. I would tell other users to be patient, as the fading process is gradual – especially if the area on your face has been like this for a while.
I use it at night before I go to bed, and look forward to waking up in the morning and seeing the improvement. This is a great buy and very good value for money. I will be buying it again!.
I have only been using this for two weeks but already I can see an improvement and a fading of the dark patch. I apply it every night before bed on clean skin with no moisturiser underneath. The patch is about one centimetre across and the applicator makes it easy to apply precisely.
I’ve used many products before (including lemon juice) but none of them has made a difference. I think this could be the one! Will keep using it and see how much lighter the patch becomes.
I have had a large dark pigment patch round an eyebrow for years which my husband used to helpfully point out was getting darker, and a patch on my hand – aside from a few small lighter patches on my face.
I’ve been using this product religiously for months and only just started the 2nd tube. I didn’t expect the eyebrow pigment or the patch on my hand to vanish, and they haven’t (nor do I expect they will) – but both have shrunk and faded significantly so I will continue to use this.
I would recommend it. It’s like anything, what works for one person may not work for another.
Filters are great but clear skin is even better. Banish dark spots and blemishes safely with The Derma Co. 2% Kojic Acid Face Serum enriched with the power of Alpha Arbutin and Niacinamide. It treats pigmentation, protects & promotes healthy radiance all day long! The cream imparts the power of Vitamin C, Glycolic Acid & Turmeric to reduce dark spots, pigmentation, blemishes & signs of aging.
It penetrates deeply to give you filter-free skin and minimize the recurrence of discoloration and evens out skin tone.
I have tried The Derma Co KOJIC ACID CREAM for pigmentation. This product is of 30g. The ingredients in this cream lightens the skin tone and minimizes the recurrences of discoloration and events out skin tone within 3 weeks.
It rejuvenates the skin within a short period of time. It’s key ingredients are VITAMIN C and KOJIC ACID which makes it more powerful. Vitamin C helps in levelling up the skin and kojic acid helps in minimizing the discoloration.
Earlier I was very annoyed from all this skin problem but after using this product I managed to see changes in positive way. Now I happily recommend this product to everyone.
Formulated for dull, rough body zones, this once daily treatment activates skin’s regeneration response by promoting exfoliation and providing simultaneous hydration for optimized cellular renewal to retexture rough body surfaces and significantly improve radiance and smoothness.
Suitable for all skin types, Body Retexturing Treatment is effective even on extremely dry, flaky skin. Improves radiance and smoothness. Formulated for arms and legs and even stubborn elbows and knees.
I was given a sample of this and used on various spots and pigmentation on my cheeks. It worked slowly but visibly could observe the lightening effects ! This is the first product I’ve used that I’ve seen any improvement.
Believe me, I’ve used many high end products and dermatologist recommendations. I want to order normal size , but it is out of stock ! I’m very disappointed that I finally see results but cannot purchase this product.
It worked for me , perhaps not for everyone , but I consider this a valuable skin asset.
I purchased this product by recommendation of the esthetician who performed my facial. I was very hopeful. I have used it twice daily for over a month and do not see a change on the three specific spots on my face.
I have also used sunscreen daily after my morning application. I will continue to use the product because I bought it and do not want to waste it. I read in the reviews the company’s responses to try the Discoloration Defense but would need to be convinced by before and after pictures from other consumers.
This product worked VERY well on two stubborn brown spots on my forehead and cheek — they’ve literally disappeared. However, I’m really disappointed that I cannot access the entire contents in the tube.
The pump simply doesn’t dispense all the product — and the top doesn’t screw off and the tube is rigid so using scissors isn’t an option — very odd. It would be a major improvement to simply have the top screw off and then your customers could access the lotion with a rubber spatula made for lotions/gels/creams/cosmetics.
It’s costly so throwing this product because of access. When you finally do improve the packaging, please be sure to add bells, whistles and stars on your website to announce this improvement so that we can all restart purchasing.
But I simply can’t pull the trigger again while the product is dispensed in it’s current state.
Visibly correct discolouration and clear up problem skin with the new 10% Azelaic Acid Booster from Paula’s Choice. This multi-tasking cream is infused with a high concentration of multi-tasking Azelaic Acid which works to brighten uneven tone, calm inflammation and remove bacteria sitting on the surface of the skin.
Salicylic Acid decongests and minimises breakouts while plant extracts soothe and balance to leave the skin feeling healthier and looking clearer. Ideal for use as a standalone treatment or as a booster mixed into a cream or serum, this concentrated formula is perfect for anyone who doesn’t like strong acids and tone-correcting treatments.
Suitable for all skin types, mix a small amount into a moisturiser or serum and apply to cleansed skin once or twice a day.
I have tried several azelaic acid treatments for my skin with rosacea, and this one it the best for now. A couple of months ago I had a severe outburst of rosacea. I used Skinoren for a couple of weeks on daily basis to reduce the most severe symptoms, and after everything was more or less under control and I realized I didn’t need anything so intense anymore, I switched to this product to help maintain the result.
I have to say, that azelaic acid treatments are not very pleasant to use as a rule, they make my skin dehydrated and cause irritation. After 3 weeks of using this product every day at night after washing my face and before serum and hydrating cream, I can say the following: it doesn’t make my skin feel itchy or burning (with more intense treatments you have to wait for about 30 minutes until your skins stops to burn), it helped relieve rosacea and the skin feels a lot better now, it isn’t hydrating at all and some serum or cream is needed on top of it, it helped with the black spots and reduced pores (I guess, thanks to salicyllic acid), it didn’t do anything to my pigmentation or break outs (Paula’s tranexamic acid treatment is much better at this).
At the moment I switched to applying it daily to the most problematic rosacea spots on my cheeks and will keep doing it. I would recommend it as a daily treatment on problematic spots to help keep rosacea under control or as acid treatment about once a week.
I wouldn’t recommend applying it daily on the whole face unless it is required by the skin condition. I gave it 5 stars as I believe it is one of the best and most pleasant to use azelaic acid treatments for rosacea I have tried so far.
I have acne prone skin and really struggle to balance acne treatment and skin hydration. My Regular routine: AM & PM: Skinfix acne + 2% BHA cleanser & PC pore reducing toner with niacinamide. AM: PC clear benzoyl peroxide treatment as needed for breakouts, & Sunscreen (I switch between several acne formulas from other brands.
) PM: Retin-a micro gel mixed with PC oil free clear moisturizer at night. For the last few months, I have been playing around with my exfoliant which I apply after cleanser and toner. The normal BHA and clear toners both made my skin greasy by the afternoon with AM use, and are too drying if I use it twice a day.
PC recommended trying the BHA serum instead, but I had the same issue. I got a sample of the glycolic serum, which is amazing to use a couple times a week or if I have any dry patches, but it leaves my skin too dry for daily use.
Enter this product: I received a sample, used it occasionally as a spot treatment for hyperpigmentation, and saw great results. For the last week or so, after a particularly bad break out, I decided to start using this twice daily all over my face instead of any other exfoliants.
My hyperpigmentation is gone from the bad breakout and I really haven’t had any new pimples. It doesn’t leave my skin greasy either. I plan to use this permanently instead of the BHA. If you are struggling with treating acne & have tried the other basic BHA products without a great result, I highly recommend trying this one.
I have had acne since I was 14 in high school and I have always been the friend with the acne and the breakouts. Obviously my skin changes from clearing up a little and breaking out but I have always had scars and breakouts no matter what.
I have tried every brand you could think of. I have been deep on skin care YouTube, tiktok, products that have been personally recommended and absolutely nothing has worked. In the past month I decided to pick up this product because I saw it on tiktok and figured why not? I’ve heard great things about Paula’s choice and I have tried the Ordinary’s Azelaic Acid which I absolutely loved.
It was good for acne scars and I could see an improvement. However, this product is a complete game changer. Not only does this help with scars it helps minimize breakouts. It is insane how much of a difference this has made in my skincare routine.
My boyfriend and my family and friends have all noticed a great difference in my skin. My break outs are extremely minimal and my scars have greatly reduced. I remember constantly think, “Am I going to have acne for the rest of my life ? This is ridiculous I’m not a teenager anymore I’m a full blown adult”.
However thanks to this my skin has completely changed and improved. I cannot recommend this product enough. I use it every single day sometimes twice a day in the morning and night but always at night.
It’s important to be consistent with this. I believe I started noticing a little difference by the 1st week and saw a great difference by the 2nd and 3rd week. Most people want instant gratification but this once is worth sticking to.

Porcelana has the answer with a clinically proven, dermatologist recommended ingredient Hydroquinone, that is proven effective on fading dark spots caused by all of these factors and more.

Eucerin Anti-Pigment Serum is a dual-action serum for all skin types that effectively reduces dark spots and prevents their re-appearance. Its action results from the combination of two serums. On one hand with thiamidol, an effective and patented ingredient that acts at the root cause of hyperpigmentation by inhibiting melanin production in skin.
It is clinically proven to reduce hyperpigmentation, preventing its re-appearance with regular usage. First results are visible after two weeks and improve continuously with regular use. On the other hand, with concentrated hyaluronic acid, it helps skin to attract and retain moisture.
This way, Eucerin Anti-Pigment Serum is a light emulsion that reduces dark spots and prevents their re-appearance while renewing skin’s look. Skin is smooth and looks renewed, even and radiant. Lightly-fragranced.
Completely fixed my hyperpigmentation issues and a good amount of product is released per pump. The consistency is gel, it can burn on broken or dermaplanned skin so beware. But it’s effective for new spots in reducing pigmentation.
I found it fine on its own however my friend prefers moisturiser over. It’s hugely helped my friend and I with our hyperpigmentation and acne scaring. Especially us melanin ladies, any skin trauma and it’s instant hyperpigmentation or hormonal.
The serum is hydrating and plumps the skin, I found the overall texture of my skin improve. To truly notice the effects, use with discipline for at least three months but texture and plumpness you will notice a difference within two weeks.
I can’t be without this now, it truly is effective you just need to be disciplined. The bottle itself is not the best, often times the serum is released and not the cream or vice versa. I also found that product is still in the bottle but the pump won’t release.
Cons: Bottle, Pump and Price for quantity. Pros: Works on hyperpigmentation and hydrating.
I had heavily pigmented cheeks that even foundation couldn’t hide. My daughter bought me this for Christmas (2021) and I just cannot believe the difference it has made. My pigmented patches have pretty much completely disappeared! I never expected it to work but it has and smells divine! Looking forward to seeing how this product holds up over the summer when my pigmented skin gets even darker.
Fingers crossed. Super delighted with this product. So delighted I left a review – which I never do.

I used this product for three months in an effort to reduce the hyper-pigmentation and bags under my eyes. Prior to that, I was going through the a number of mixtures , tinctures, serums , etc. to address the issue to and I saw no improvement.
The skin under my eyes was so much darker than the rest of my skin, that it was difficult disguise even with concealer and foundation because I would still end up with two different colors in that area, with the under eye area appearing “chalky”.
I have been using Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution for about three months and CANNOT believe how well it has worked. The results were hardly overnight, but after consistent use, the area under my eyes is approaching its previous hue! I applied Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution to the area under my eyes and in general, on my entire face after cleansing and before completing the rest of my regular skincare routine.
Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution did NOT in any way irritate my super-sensitive skin. My skin is beginning to have a pore-less appearance. The affected area also, does not look bleached or lighter than it originally was.
Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution quite literally is Corrective. The relief is unbelievable. No more mixing concealers and highlighters (that would later settle into folds and small wrinkles in the skin, crease, or give me an oily look).
No more constant blotting. The solution did not negatively react with any of the other skincare products I use and the overall condition of my skin has improved. I didn’t think it could happen.
Kiehl’s Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution is a treatment for discoloration and dark spots. It can also help visibly correct uneven skin tone and help the appearance of any skin texture. It doesn’t have an overpowering scent , rather it has a lovely light airy floral scent which was very nice.
I loved how smooth and silky the solution felt as soon as it touched my face! I have sensitive skin and braced myself for any light discomfort or irritation that most treatments of the same kind I have tried in the past usually gave me.
I was pleasantly surprised that there was not a moment of discomfort and how gentle it was! It absorbed quite quickly but still left a lingering smooth feeling on my skin. I used this product for well over a week and am still using it, and so far not only has it delivered on its promises of clearing up dark spots and uneven skin tone but my acne I was experiencing cleared up, which was definitely the icing on the correcting treatment cake! In comparison, the other treatments I have tried in the past were too harsh on my skin, has an overpowering scent that never dissipated, made my complexion look ruddy, and definitely didn’t have the bonus of clearing up my acne, let alone my dark spots and uneven tone! My skin now feels smooth and looks great and I don’t even have to use my blurring face primer anymore! I will definitely purchase this again when I run out.
I would not buy it again. I have brown skin tone and this face cream is not for people of color. My face is always white when I use it , as if I used sunscreen on my face , I can’t even use it at day time.
Unless I know I am not leaving the house. The texture is not moisturizing at all. Yes it lightens the skin , you can use it on other part of your body , I didn’t have problem with that. But I bought the face cream because I wanted to use it on my face , but the white caste is a problem.
The jury is still out on this one. I haven’t used it much but the process must be slower because I havent seen much change in the isolated areas treated. Try me again in a month or so. I have had this product for a month, but half of the month I was in Jamaica.
The product label doesnt recommend use in direct sunlight so ive only used it one or twice before my vacation.
I’m using this creme with Diana Stalder Surely white toner. I like it. It’s not oily like other creme you buy in the store. It made my skin soft. It’s a little expensive though for it’s size. I hope they make it a l bigger for it’s price.
This gel treatment targets hyperpigmentation, uneven patches and dark spots. It brightens your skin’s complexion, as well as aids the reduction of dark spots and uneven skin tone. Formulated with 2% Tranexamic Acid (a powerful amino acid), 2% Acai Berry extract to promote even skin tone, as well as 2% skin brightening hero Vitamin C, it also boosts overall skin brightness and evens skin tone.
I never EVER leave reviews but I thought I’d write this one cause I struggled REALLY badly with hyperpigmentation for about 2 or 3 years and this has reallyyyy helped with my skin. Within a couple weeks I started seeing a difference.
After months of using this product my skin is so much clearer and brighter. This product is really good and I’d 100% recommend and it’s the only product I’ve tried that didn’t cause me to have breakouts so I was able to get rid of the hyperpigmentation without worrying about getting more spots which would always interrupt the process.
As I said, I literally NEVER leave reviews lol but if this will help someone like me save their skin then I’m happy to help. I use this product every night and my skin hasn’t been this clear in yearsss.
Goodluck 🙂 also if this doesn’t work for you, don’t lose hope. Eventually you’re skin will get better and you’re breautiful regardless!.
I get hyperpigmentation easily from breakouts, and for years I’ve used products and ingredients to help fade marks. Retinol, AHA, Vitamin C, niacinamide, alpha arbutin, you name it. If it’s known to fight marks I’ve used it! I’d recently heard of tranexamic acid and thought I’d give it, and this brand, a shot.
Whoa. I used it at night and woke up and my face was. pale! That’s the best way I can describe it. Like there was a clarity I haven’t seen in I don’t know how long. Nothing has had impact this quickly.
It can’t be a fluke, right? Now, I still have a couple stubborn marks I’ve been working on with the old ingredients I’m used to, but they were improved. The impressive part was just the tone of my entire face.
I looked at myself a long while, wondering where literally all my subtle discoloration went? I looked, dare I say, younger? Brighter? Weird, right? How is this possible? Color me impressed. I’m going to continue with this, and if anything changes I’ll be back to update!.
I learned about Tranexamic acid when I got Hero Cosmetics Lightning Wand. I was surprised how well it worked compared to the Alpha Arbutin I had been using from the Ordinary. I got this since my face has a LOT of spots to fade.
It’s not an overnight cure, but I see noticeable difference the next morning after using this. After a week, my dark spots had faded much faster than with other products I’ve tried. The formula is kinda like a thick gel.
The instructions say you can use it with retinol, and recommend this be your last step INSTEAD of a moisturizer. I use the Cerave retinol in the evening, and follow with this as the last step. Due to the consistency, it made sense for me to layer this last since it was heaviest.
It isn’t very moisturizing, so if you have dry skin you may not like how it feels. I still add eye cream and sometimes dab lotion on dry spots over this. My only concern is it may be breaking me out, however I am unsure if that’s just an adjustment period, another product, hormones, or life.
Overall I’d recommend it for fading hyperpigmentation. For the price it works very well and quickly compared to other products on the market. Plus it doesn’t interact with most actives so can be incorporated in most routines.
Designed to take effect as you sleep, this overnight face mask targets a multitude of skincare concerns, such as hyperpigmentation, uneven tone and dark spots. The innovative formula boasts a meticulous blend of ingredients, working in harmony to balance and brighten the skin.
2% Tranexamic Acid combats sensitivity with its anti-inflammatory benefits, helping to unify areas of pigmentation. This powerhouse component also reinforces the natural skin barrier for resilient, healthy-looking results.
2% Acai Berry, rich in antioxidants, promotes a more even tone. 2% Vitamin C unleashes a range of brightening properties, enhancing dull complexions with a radiant glow. This sleep mask revitalises the skin, working to regulate the look of dark spots and problem areas for a bright, even and youthful-looking complexion.
The INKEY List Ceramide Night Treatment has been a saviour for my compromised skin barrier. Lately I’ve been experiencing redness, flakiness, tightness and increased breakouts and rashes all over my face due to over exfoliation.
Thankfully, this product was here to help my poor skin. So what are ceramides? Ceramides are lipids that help form the skin’s barrier and help skin retain moisture. Without the proper ratio of ceramides, the skin’s barrier can become compromised, leading to dryness, itching and irritation.
There are also researches that indicate that ceramides are actually helpful anti-aging agents. This powerful, ovenight mask works to hydrate parched skin whilst ensuring skin is nourished and visibly plumper when you wake up.
This product offers an amazing hydration combo, containing 3% Multi Ceramide Complex and 2. 5% Multi Molecular Hyaluronic Acid. It also contains humectants such as butylene glycol and glycerin, as well as amino acids and anti-acne ingredients like physosphinogosine.
Sodium Lactate is also included, which regulates the ph levels of the skin, a much needed action for when our skin barrier is compromised. The ceramides strengthen the skin’s barrier by forming a protective layer that limits moisture loss, and the multi molecular hyaluronic acid hydrates deeper into skin’s layers.
Of course this is a paraben, sulfate, alcohol and silicone free product. It’s also vegan and cruelty free. This product costs 16,65€ for 30ml, which in my opinion is totally worth it. I will be repurchasing this when it restocks since my skin can’t live without it.
Best Product For Hyperpigmentation On Face Buying Guides
There are a few things to consider when choosing a sunscreen for hyperpigmentation on the face. First, you want to make sure that the sunscreen has an SPF of 30 or higher. Second, you want to make sure that the sunscreen is water resistant.
Third, you want to make sure that the sunscreen is non-comedogenic, meaning it won’t clog pores. Finally, you want to make sure that the sunscreen contains ingredients that will help to lighten hyperpigmentation, such as kojic acid, niacinamide, or vitamin C.
vitamin c serum
The best vitamin c serum for hyperpigmentation on face is the one that contains the highest concentration of vitamin c. However, not all vitamin c serums are created equal. Some contain very low concentrations of vitamin c and are not effective at treating hyperpigmentation.
Retinol is a vitamin A derivative that is commonly used as an ingredient in skincare products. It is an effective treatment for hyperpigmentation, as it helps to lighten dark spots and even out skin tone.
When looking for a retinol-based product to treat hyperpigmentation, it is important to choose one that is specifically formulated for the face, as this will ensure that it is gentle enough for use on the delicate skin of the face.
Glycolic acid is a great choice for a product to help with hyperpigmentation on the face. It is an alpha hydroxy acid that is derived from sugar cane, and it works by breaking down the bonds that hold dead skin cells together.
This allows for the dead skin cells to be sloughed off, revealing the brighter, more even-toned skin underneath. Glycolic acid also helps to stimulate collagen production, which can help to improve the overall appearance of the skin.
Kojic acid is a product that can be used to help reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation on the face. When used as directed, kojic acid can help to lighten the skin and make the dark spots less visible.
Azelaic acid is a naturally occurring dicarboxylic acid found in whole grain cereals and animal products. It has shown to be effective in the treatment of hyperpigmentation, acne, and rosacea.
Niacinamide is an effective product for hyperpigmentation on the face. Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 that is effective in treating hyperpigmentation. Niacinamide can be found in over-the-counter products and is also available by prescription.
licorice root extract
The licorice root extract in this product can help to hyperpigmentation on the face by lightening the skin. It can also help to reduce inflammation and redness.
The best product to use for hyperpigmentation on the face is a product that contains hydroquinone. Hydroquinone is a skin lightening agent that works by inhibiting the production of melanin, the pigment that gives skin its color.
Hydroquinone is available in over-the-counter products and in products that require a prescription from a dermatologist.
