My family and I enjoyed this movie. I thought the story was good and the acting was good. I like this movie and we have seen it a few times. I like how they find the loop and every night repeats and explain everything to the new kid in the movie.

The audience learns with the new kid through the movie! I like watching this!.

This is a fantastic movie! The story is really original and captivating, really elaborated. Amazing plots. So many likeable and different characters. I watch it every year around Halloween! It’s gonna be a Halloween classic for me.

The previews were better than the movie. I picked this one up to share with the family, as something fun for all ages. It was a family-friendly movie. Unfortunately, it was slow-moving and largely uninteresting.

My 37 year old son has long since been a dinosaur lover. We have watched so many documentaries and programs related. When I was searching for movies, I saw this, and knew we just had to have it. If you have a son, or grandson who loves Dinosaurs, this is the gift to get them for Christmas.

Its an adventure, the animals talk. I am 62, and I enjoyed this movie too. Its never to early to buy that first Christmas gift.

So much learning. Some things weren’t fully explained. Watch with your kids and be careful with really young children watching with older kids. It has a mildly violent meteor shower, the killing of one dino by another, a T-Rex and 2 other mean dinos.

My child was okay with it as long as I explained it. There were a lot of questions and a little fear. I told him the mean dinos were not nice and were bullies. I told him the dead dino had a boo boo and was hurt.

He likes it, but I skip past certain sections.

Before cars and planes and wifi. Before cellphones, renters insurance, and labradoodles. Before we domesticated the wolf, and caged the tigers. The planet that we live on was once not owned by man, but was roamed by animals small and large.

Sauropods; some 60 feet tall, some 130 feet long. Some just a few feet or less. Dinosaur is a tale of an iguanodon named Aladar that makes his way to an island while still in an egg and was found by some lemurs who raise him as part of the family.

Aladar who feel like something is missing in his life soon finds out what that is when a meteor shower destroys their home and him and his family are forced to find refuge far from home. Following a herd of dinosaurs to the “nesting grownd” (a safe place) he saves his family and some new friends all while finding out what was missing in his life in that place he called home.

This movie will bring you back to the world lost in time. A great movie for kids and adults.

I used to love this movie as a kid, and kind of completely forgot about it until my wife said we should get it for our daughters. I immediately considered that a green-light spend money! Unfortunately, I couldn’t find it on blu-ray, but that would be more for me anyway.

My kids don’t care about resolution. Anyway, I settled on the DVD, but I was still excited about watching it again. And with the family. The very day we got it we popped it in. The kids LOVED it. They thought it was so cool.

Especially when the two boys are riding on the bee. There were a lot of cool spots that I didn’t even remember. It was pretty fun watching a good old family movie that wasn’t either all or mostly done with computer animation.

One of the funniest movies i have seen in a while. a great family movie. This product is very very good for the price and it will make you laugh. A treat for the whole family. The science of the move is very funny also.

The impossible is possible in this movie. So treat your self and the family and watch this great comedy.

I was nine years old when this movie came out and really enjoyed it. Sure, the special effects are a bit dated now, but the movie overall holds up pretty well (it’s definitely better than the sequels).

There’s actually a bit more depth to the storylines and characters than I remembered. My one gripe with the DVD–no special features. There was a behind-the-scenes special that aired on the Disney Channel back in the day and they didn’t even put that on the DVD! Come on, Disney! The movie’s 30 years old this year and nothing (yes, I realize this DVD was released several years ago, but there’s no anniversary editions available).

Kids going on a trip to return Tommy’s new baby brother back to the Hopstical only ends up with an adventure in the woods with Spike fighting off a wolf and the kids meeting the Lizard to bring their faithful companion back.

Its got monkeys!.

I remember watching this movie with both my kids. We had such a great time, and laughed at the situations the Rugrats got themselves into, and at times shed some tears as Tommy learned what being a big brother was all about.

I never watch them before, but when she picked them out of all the movies in the bin. I was surprised, because she, we never seen any previews of this one. Another one added to the Rugrats collection

I was but a wee lad in the mid-80s and Scooby Doo was my sister’s and my favorite show every day. The ‘movies’ were my personal faves: Jonathan Winters (the best episode imo), Batman & Robin, and all the others.

When they would air, I was captivated – no matter how many times before I’d seen them. This isn’t just nostalgia, this is great TV!.

I got this for my 2 year old birthday and he LOVES it. I can pop in one disc and he’s good for a long time. And it comes with 3 discs so he would be entertained for HOURS!! My whole family loves Scooby Doo so it makes a great addition for family movie time.

Many of the movies I hadn’t seen before, so I was watching them for the first time. My favorites are the ones with Laurel & Hardy, Don Adams and “Mama” Cass Elliot. i laughed my butt off.

I am beyond thrilled that both of my little girls fell head over heels for this movie. The music is absolutely fantastic. We listen to it at home and in the car. My daughter’s first crush was on Branch.

He is a sad troll, terrified of Bergens. Because of that he doesn’t want to attend any loud eye-catching parties all the other Trolls are excited about. Branch lost his grandma when he was young, she saved him when he was singing and a Bergen snatched her for dinner.

That is when he stopped singing. Princess Poppy is very positive and optimistic! A quality that I happen to really enjoy about myself. It hurts when you do everything you think is best, and everything can still come tumbling down.

That’s kind of what Poppy goes through. She throws a huge party to celebrate that it has been twenty years since her father saved their colony from the Bergen’s through the Troll Tree Tunnels. Unfortunately, the banished Bergen named Chef saw the large troll shaped fireworks, and heard the music from their party.

She had never stopped searching for the trolls. She really wanted to redeem herself and put trolls back on the Bergen’s menu so she could take over the throne. Chef stomps into the new troll village and snatches up Biggie with his pet gloworm Mr Dinkles, Cooper, attached at the hair twins Satin and Chenille, Guy Diamond, a strong little girl named Smidge, Fuzzburt who appears to be all hair and feet, and Poppy’s then crush.

Creek. Poppy leaves to try and rescue her friends after making sure everyone left is safe in Branch’s unwelcoming underground bunker. She enjoys scrapbooking her plans, and making glittery decorations, she never had to face much danger.

Along her way she is optimistic despite her major trials. Eventually she is stuck in spider webs and all covered up. In comes Branch! He whips his hair at the spiders and saves Poppy. She said she wasn’t worried, because she knew he would come along.

They make it to Bergen Town after chasing Cloud Guy through the old tunnels. Once in Bergen Town, they set out to find their friends. It appears that the king ate her crush, Creek. Despite literally seeing him put in a Bergen’s mouth, she is still full of hope.

They befriend a bergen named Bridget. She is a maid and has been for a long time. No one pays much attention to her, Chef treats her like a servant. The trolls had all been kept in her room. Poppy and Branch were sneaking their friends (minus Creek of course) out of the cage when Bridget (the bergen they befriend) woke up.

Poppy convinces her to let them help her get a date with the king, whom she had a crush on. On the date, it turns out Creek was in the King’s necklace. Bridget and King Gristle had a blast eating a ton of pizza and roller blading.

At the end, Bridget races off, leaving behind a roller skate. Her name during the date is Lady Glitter Sparkles, wearing the trolls atop her head as a bright, rainbow colored wig. The trolls are captured again, and Poppy finds out Creek betrayed them all.

He told them the location of ALL the rest of the trolls in exchange for his freedom. Poppy realizes he was a terrible troll. It breaks her heart knowing that all the trolls are captured due to her trying to save a few of them.

All the trolls turn dull and gray, similar to how Branch has always looked. Branch starts trying to cheer Poppy up, he starts becoming brighter blue than normal. He sings to her, “You with those sad eyes, don’t be discouraged.

“, and eventually he wins her heart and fills her back up with her regular determined attitude. Bridget comes back and saves them all, right before they were going to be served. She knew she would be hurt, killed, or banished for having “lost” them.

Bridget goes into the banquet hall for the feast, and the guards have their spears against her. Poppy and the main crew of trolls ride in on a roller skate, and fly up into Bridget’s hair, turning her back into Lady Glitter Sparkles.

Feeling their connection, Poppy points out that you don’t have to eat Trolls to find true happiness, and that it is inside of everyone. Bridget and King Gristle were happy on their date and were actually falling in love.

After that, there is singing and dancing and peace at the feast. Chef and Creek are pushed down and out of the castle in the pot. They fly off a big jump straight into a monster’s mouth and are eaten.

Moral of the story for me is, “Get back up again”, which is one of the main songs. It reminds me that we can always be happy, but life is also about what we do when we fail. My girls love the movie, books, toys, and more.

I am so happy that this is a very uplifting, adorable movie.

This is yet another movie I never saw coming, but I love it so, so, so, so much. Everything I saw captivated me the songs, the characters, the colors of all characters and locations, the feelings, the story, everything was wonderful.

I know that I relate very much to Poppy because I too have the same personality and try to see the world in my own special way, but in the end Branch is my favorite, he’s very resourceful, headstrong, prepared, protective, caring, sweet in his own way and his voice is just so beautiful and bold and unforgettable I mean who doesn’t like the sound of Justin Timberlake’s voice.

They couldn’t have chosen anyone better, I know I do very much like Branch’s new look in the end but in my honest opinion I like him a lot better in his gray and black haired look, he’s just easier to recognize that way and even my sister agrees.

If you haven’t seen this movie yet than you’re missing out on something really awesome with a lot of really amazing songs. You might even feel pretty happy in the end yourself, but give this movie a try and find out.

This movie was so cute! I was very surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The writers mixed together a bunch of folk tales to write the screenplay so it was kinda cool picking up on which I could recognize.

Justin Timberlake did a fantastic job with the soundtrack, seriously. It’s really something you can jam to. There’s a bunch of bright colors in the movie, and it’s animated really well, it’s fun to watch, gets a little sparkly.

Honestly very worth it.

The DVD movie The Frisco Kid Stars veteran actor Gene Wilder and rising Star Harrison Ford. The Frisco Kid is a funny movie and it takes place in 1850 during the gold rush in the United States. The Frisco Kid movie was very underrated and was not taken very well by the critics or the fans because it was the first movie that Harrison Ford starting as a cowboy outlaw and they were assuming he would take on more powerful role like he did in Star Wars.

Well a really good actor can play a lot of really good different parts and Harrison Ford is one of them and so is Gene Wilder. The Crisco kid is an A+ movie. It’s funny and entertaining and extremely underrated.

I highly recommend the movie If you ever get a chance to watch it or buy a DVD of The Frisco Kid.

Gene Wilder is the comic and Harrison Ford the straight man. great comic team. What a contrast: From the sophisticated world of Eastern Europe to the desolate wild west. Makes for an absurd but funny story that actually has some historical facts behind it.

That’s how San Francisco was established during the Gold Rush; by eastern European Jewish merchants. And a New Mexico indian tribe did have a German Jewish Chief who met with Abraham Lincoln. for real! So this kind of thing really is a part of American history.

Great film and very entertaining.

I lacked the ability to continue Life without The Frisco Kid! this must be Harrison Ford’s 3rd movie. The culture clash between an Old West outlaw, and a Rabbi from Poland, played by Gene Wilder is much fun to watch, and helps you forget the trials & tribulations of everyday life.

You Know! Just like a satisfying Movie Should!! I wished for bonus Features, but in 1979, the didn’t add such a thing. I was pleased to find this Treasure, from my High School days! I am the only person at my workplace that has the DVD of this hilarious Movie! PHFFGHTTTT!!!!!.

My 5 year old and 3 year old grandsons watch this on TV over and over so I thought I’d buy each of them a DVD copy to take home so they could watch it anytime they want. I have to admit even at my age I love to watch it.

A very simple story with easy-to-follow narrative yet exstreamly creative and interestingly conveyed. Without a doubt destined to become a classic child’s story.

A good family movie

One of my favorite animated movies from back in the day. I laughed so hard. It brought back so many memories.

The Original and the First of its kind if you Truly appreciate comedy legends. Long Live the Classic.

Hadn’t seen this movie in years and randomly thought about it. This movie is a classic.

The movie is best described 90’s nostalgia. Amazing reality of the typical 90’s inner city lifestyle of the rough and tough. Sex, drugs and Trip hop. The DVD transfer on this is horrible! Vhs is better.

“Kids” goes right to the heart of everything that parents fear will become of their children. The youths that inhabit this film are not just wayward. they are violent, amoral kids whose state of evolution seems to have regressed to something more primal.

The male lead, if you can call him that, in this movie is a truly horrific animal named Telly (played with scary realism by actor Leo Fitzpatrick). Telly seems to exist for no other reason than drink, get high, get into fights, and, oh yeah, deflower as many virgins as possible.

He cajoles his conquests by telling them exactly what they want to hear, and once he’s accomplished his mission, he will have nothing to do with them. He says he prefers them because they aren’t all dirty or have diseases.

Yet, the irony is, he is unknowingly carrying the AIDS virus around and endangering his conquests because it would seem that one of his ‘virgins’ was not quite honest with him. It’s not hard to see how Telly can become such a monster.

He has no moral compass around which to develop. One brief scene takes place during a brief stopover at his house before he and his friend, Casper, take off for more mayhem. His mother is sitting in the living room, folding laundry and watching TV while being almost totally oblivious to Telly being there.

When Telly asks for some money, she says no and asks him when he’s going to get a job, he just says that he’s looking and then he goes into her room and takes some money, anyway. She wouldn’t know if it was missing.

The actual plot of this movie, as thin as it is, focuses on a girl named Jennie (who was one of Telly’s conquests) searching the streets of the city to find Telly and stop his virgin conquest because of the AIDS virus she just found out he gave her.

Her search is intercut with scenes of a brutal gang beating by Telly and his friends of guy who popped off his mouth, club kids engaging in animalistic carnal behavior, and a morally bankrupt party where kids as young as 10 are drinking up, getting high and participating in even more carnal behavior.

“Kids” gets a positive rating because there is nothing phony about its unflinching view of the existence of kids with too much time on their hands and no direction in their lives. It does not get a higher rating because the images are extremely graphic and difficult to digest.

This movie is not for everyone, but, if someone feels the can handle the subject matter, it is a valid tale.

A day in the life of a group of NYC teens as they deal with adolescent life. Tully is a highly sexually active teenage who unknowingly is carrying the HIV virus. Jenny a girl who had sex with Tully finds out she is HIV positive and trys to find Tully and tell him.

This film really open some eyes with its in your face honestly.

I’m a 69yo man. I laughed and I cried watching this movie. Before I got the DVD, I watched the movie four times on TV. It’s entertaining, sweet, heartwarming, thoughtful, very funny, thought-provoking,.

This movie was the best movie I’ve seen in a really long time! I highly recommend it! It was sweet, bittersweet, and meaningful movie. I loved the whole film, but really loved the meaning behind it. I will be purchasing it as soon as it comes out.

Walt Disney Animation once again embraces traditional “princess” fare with Tangled, a cheeky retelling of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale, Rapunzel. In this more action-oriented musical comedy, Rapunzel (voiced by Mandy Moore) is a princess who was abducted as a baby and raised as a virtual prisoner in a remote castle by the evil witch, Mother Gothel (Donna Murphy).

Rapunzel boasts 70 feet of magic, golden hair — hair that keeps Mother from aging. Having spent her entire life within the tower (with just Mother and the tiny, silent chameleon Pascal for company), Rapunzel is full of curiosity about the outside world.

One day while Mother Gothel is away, Rapunzel is frightened by a surprise visitor coming through her window, the dashing, roguish bandit Flynn Rider (voiced by Chuck’s Zachary Levi). Flynn is on the run from his brutish former cohorts, the Stabbington Brothers (one of whom is voiced by Ron Perlman), after escaping with a jeweled tiara they had stolen.

Following their meet-cute introduction, Rapunzel and Flynn make a deal. He will escort her through the wilderness to the kingdom, where she’ll finally get to behold the annual festival of lights. (This festival, held on what is the unsuspecting Rapunzel’s birthday, is in remembrance of the lost princess.

) In exchange, Rapunzel will give Flynn back the stolen tiara she’s hidden from him. Rapunzel and Flynn find themselves on the run from not only the Stabbington Brothers and Mother Gothel, but also from the royal guards (and one very determined horse named Maximus) who want Flynn in custody.

As Rapunzel and Flynn grow more attracted to one another, the question becomes whether Flynn will succumb to his bad boy ways and betray her trust. Tangled, renamed from Rapunzel seemingly in an attempt to not seem like another Disney “princess” flick aimed strictly towards girls, is a very funny, handsomely produced CG-animated toon that looks like a throwback to more traditional, hand-drawn animation but with the fluidity allowed by modern technology.

Coupled with 3D, the end result is an immersive experience featuring the best of both schools of animation. Disney cartoons, though, are marked not only by their technical excellence, but also by the quality of their storytelling and characters.

That’s where Tangled is a mixed bag. The repartee between Rapunzel and Flynn is clever and sharp, and there’s good chemistry between them. Flynn is an extremely charming rogue, just pompous enough to laugh at and whose change of heart towards Rapunzel is believable and slowly earned.

Mother Gothel nearly steals the show, with her overprotective tyranny being made to seem almost rational through some of her sly exchanges with the naive young princess. Mother also gets one of the film’s biggest musical numbers, which Murphy nails.

Disney vet Alan Menken once again provides the music (with lyrics by Glenn Slater). While there are plenty of catchy tunes here, none of them are as truly memorable as those in Menken’s The Little Mermaid, Aladdin or Beauty and the Beast.

But it’s still fun stuff that allows Levi to show off his impressive pipes opposite Moore. (I can foresee Tangled becoming Disney’s next Broadway sensation a la The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast.

) Tangled might not ultimately be a modern Disney classic like some of the aforementioned animated films, but it’s nevertheless a lot of fun, full of humor, adventure, good music!.

Now I love this one! Mandy Moore does an amazing job as Rapunzel. My favorite Disney song is also in this. And who won’t fall for Flinn’s smolder. Rapunzel just wants to see the lights and get out of her tower.

That’s the start to your adventure. Watch to see what happens :).

A heroine who doesn’t need a man to be happy? Rapunzel is a strong survivor who makes it known that she can survive and be happy on her own. She actually saves the guy who is a villain! Along the way she teaches him bravery, courage and self sacrifice.

She takes his redeeming character traits and amplifies them, while he learns to love someone besides himself and is a better man by the end of the story. My grandchild loved the movie. After watching this together we discussed the parallels to the Bible and this fable.

I love the lesson this movie teaches little girls. It’s very difficult to find G rated movies with uplifting themes for children. Tangled is perfect for two to six year old children, and the young at heart.

My 4 year old absolutely loves PBS Kids. This movie was perfect for him! Winter is here and he loves the snow so this is the perfect thing to watch! He loved watching his favorite characters play and learn about the snow from Daniel Tiger to Wild Kratts to what I grew up watching- Arthur.

A good sampling of winter stories from a variety of PBS Kids shows. My grandson loves it.

This is a fantastic family film, highly entertaining and fun for adults and children alike. I’m always looking for new movies I can take the kids to. (You know how kids are these days, so fussy! When I was a kid, going to watch ANY movie was a big deal!.

) Anyway, this happened to be showing at the Hollywood Film Festival while we were on vacation there, so we figured why not? We were not really expecting too much because we hadn’t heard of it before.

but wow!! What a pleasant surprise! Our kids (aged 5yrs, 8yrs and 11yrs) LOVED it, and have been giggling and talking about it for days now. Even my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The dog “Little Bear” is adorable, Eric Roberts is great as the President of the USA, Tommy Lister shows his sensitive side as “Big Mike” the friendly truck driver, and John Paul Howard is brilliant as Danny the orphan.

He looks familiar, but I can’t remember what else he was in. Overall, it was a really refreshing experience. It’s a real classic, paced well, exciting, beautifully written with good morals and emotionally rich and wholesome.

It almost has an old fashioned feel, without being outdated. The songs are cute too! (I think Dolly Parton wrote and performed most of the songs). The music score is breathtaking, and memorable. When is the soundtrack going to be available?? I’m heading to Walmart to buy a copy of this DVD for our collection as soon as it’s available, as I’m sure the kids will watch it many more times.

I don’t often give a film 5 stars, but this is perfect. I wish there were more films like this. (Anyone with kids knows what I’m talking about! haha) Highly recommend. 5 Stars!.

This is a story about a cute, misfit kid who thinks he just will never be adopted and have a real family. When he runs into a stray dog, he finds the love that he’s wishing for, and that encourages him to find his inner courage and to “do the right thing” when he thinks it’s called for.

I enjoyed it – will I watch it again? Perhaps. Once you get old, every movie you haven’t watched in the last 6 months is a completely new movie! Plus, I’m a sucker for dog movies.

The story is about a boy in foster care on the west coast runs away from a good foster home to cross the country in order to return the President’s dog. The adventures along the way are more believable for children than for adults by far, but if you can put on a children’s perspective for an hour or so, it can be fun even for adults.

I would say that in many cases an adult would have more fun watching this when there are children also watching.

Personally, I think it’s one of the best movies ever made. I saw it on TV only a few months ago and I enjoyed it that much, that I just had to get the DVD. It is just such a great film. It has a great cast and a great storyline to go with it.

It starts off as a detective, known as Mike Norris (Chris Sarandon) is chasing a fugitive, known as Charles Lee Ray (Brad Dourif), and to cut a long story short, they end up in a shootout in a toy store.

Charles Lee Ray happens to be a voodoo follower and when he lies dying on the floor in the toy store, after being shot, he successfully transfers his spirit into a toy doll, by the name of “Chucky” (Nickname of Charles Lee Ray).

This particular doll then becomes the birthday present to a six-year-old boy, named Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent). Andy’s Mum, named Karen Barclay (Catherine Hicks), is asked to do overtime at work, which would mean only spending a bit of time with her son on his sixth birthday.

She grudgingly accepts the offer of overtime, due to the offer of her best friend and co-worker Maggie Peterson (Dinah Manoff), insisting that she babysit for Andy for that night. To cut another story short, after a number of deaths occurred, including Karen’s best friend Maggie, people don’t believe Andy when he says that “Chucky did it!” I won’t give away the ending to those of you who have not yet seen it, but to those characters in the movie who have seen Chucky lunge at them with a knife, they aren’t alive very long to report him.

Also, to those of you who haven’t seen this film yet, I do recommend that you watch it. This movie keeps you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. I will also mention one more thing. The next best part of this movie, are the end credits.

The music is just fantastic!! It’s both eerie and easy-listening at the same time.

This movie is awesome. Awesome animatronics, a suspenseful story and a killer soundtrack. Definitely check this movie out if you haven’t.

Its a good movie started off franchise had 5 sequels getting rebooted this year as well as a television series. Enjoy slasher movies you will love this one became a fan.

This is reminiscent of a Frank Capra type movie & I realize many professional & amateur reviewers will not like it simply because of that. Most people don’t seem to like these type of stories anymore.

I am not of that ilk, I still enjoy hopeful, life affirming stories/movies. Also Bella, another film from Alejandro Monteverde, is very good.

This movie is a true roller-coaster ride. IT will toy with your emotions weather your the most reserved person or if you cry during movies. Its truly a moving story and is every bit worth your time. It covers so many areas from politics, propaganda, the unnecessary acceptance of bullying, loss&gain, betrayal etc etc.

Simply put, to miss this movie is to miss a good time. Like one commenter said, it does get off to a somewhat slow start, however I feel it was necessary for character and story build up.

This movie teaches each of us what is important in life. Children can teach each of us something about ourselves through the thick and thin aspects of life. Worth watching and buying!!

This a very good movie. It tells the story of a donkey named Bo who runs away from a mill where he is not happy. He meets Ruth the sheep and Dave the dove as well as some other animals. They follow the star and end up becoming a part of the greatest story ever told, the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!!! Enjoy this movie with your children and teach them the real meaning of Christmas!!!.

This movie is amazing! We love the creativity of the story of Christmas being told through the perspective of the manger animals. The characters are captivating and fun. There are several funny lines and scenes without being disrespectful to the sanctity of the story or campy.

A must for Christmas movies!.

An adorable animated film told from a donkey’s point of view regarding the Nativity. Beautiful animation, lovely storyline, and great voice actors. A wonderful family film.
