20 Best Exfoliating Face Wash For Men (2023 Updated)

I bought this in early Feb of 2021. Back then it was a glass jar with bigger beads in the scrub. It worked well. Immediately my face looked brighter. Since then I’ve tried other scrubs but they didn’t work as good as Brickell.

So I purchased another jar recently. It’s now plastic which I don’t mind. Immediately I noticed the beads were much smaller and not as many. It almost feels like a body cream. It still worked well but not like before.

I hate when companies do reformulations. Usually they degrade the product to make a profit. Once this jar is done I’ll check out True Botanicals. Their body scrub is great.

Very nice smell. A little product goes a long way. Causes no irritation on redness. Leaves your face smooth to the touch. Good masculine clean scent and the round container I condense into a smaller to keep water out the main container and in case the lid was to fall out and lose the product down the drain.

I use in the shower and the grit washes down the drain. Will continue to reorder. Been using this product over 2 years. Very satisfied and reasonably priced for 4 ounces of product last a good amount of time Order it out.

God I love this facial exfoliating scrub! It is a bit on the rougher side, so those with sensitive skin this might not be the product for you. It feels like sand in the gel, and will strip your face right off ya if you scrub a little too vigorously.

So be mindful of that. The product smells fantastic, and it scrubs all the dead skin and everything off my face. A bit on the pricier side, but it does work. And it smells manly. So that’s a win as far as I’m concerned.

My husband’s been using this cleanser for over a year now and he loves it. I’ve tried getting him so many different cleansers and this has definitely been his favorite. Nice foaming cleanser with micro beads that lightly exfoliate, and not overly drying.

But don’t expect a very intense scrub, cause this ain’t it. I know a lot of men like that really hard scrub feeling lol.

I love, love, love, love this stuff. After years of bouncing around from skin care to skin care I came across this. This is what got me into Kiehl’s and it’s what is keeping me here. I have never experienced a cleanser that leaves my face as fresh as this.

I spent two years with Clinique and not once did I experience anything near this quality of cleanliness. I’ve used every drug store brand and other expensive brands and was on the verge of breaking down and going to Proactiv.

I say breaking down because I don’t relish the idea being locked into acne medication, because I get sporadic break outs and don’t necessarily want to be locked into to all those harsh chemicals on my face.

I also had my doubts it would work because Clinique acne line did absolutely nothing. Men’s skin is just thicker and oiler and so many times things on the market are made for women’s faces and it’s as if “men can use it too!” is an afterthought.

This product is truly amazing. I use it in the shower every morning and it lathers with a very small amount – about a nickel. The exfoliating agents in it mild and won’t cut up your face like other exfoliates.

I learned a while back that if you exfoliate daily with harsh products it actually can cause micro cuts and infections on your face leading to acne. This isn’t harsh and doesn’t leave me skin raw but it leaves absolutely 100% pure like I’ve never felt before.

Another reviewer mentioned it didn’t wash off and it was like jelly. If you use too much of it I can see that being true. We all know, also that cleansing at a sink is a pain compared to doing it in the shower and this rinses off super easy in the shower without any residue left behind.

I don’t use in the evening when I use the Blue Herbal line instead so I can’t really speak to using it at a sink, but it comes off super easily in the shower. The smell is AMAZING. I have used many a cleanser with questionable smell but I think this may hands down be the best.

It even smells better than the Facial Fuel line in my humble opinion. I use all three items in the oil eliminator line – even the sadly neglected toner. The toner and moisturizer do work for me and I know other people have skin like mine: oil prone and oily.

It took my skin about a week to adjust, it actually produced more oil for that first week, but soon it adapted it and I can pretty much go all working day without worrying about oil. That’s amazing and that in itself is an accomplishment.

I suffer from occasional bouts of acne which other expensive brands have never been able to treat and I haven’t had a single flare-up while using this. Which is amazing because I have stress induced acne and have been going through a career change these past couple months.

Of all of the Kiehl’s products I use—and there are a lot—I consider this the most indispensable part of my skin care regiment, and one of the products that no other competitor has been able to replicate even half-way.

If you have oily skin, try it and give it at least two weeks.

I was recommended to use this along with the ultra facial moisturizer and the oil eliminating facial mist for my combination skin. I do like this product, I just think it might be a little too drying for my skin.

I have extremely dry skin, but then my face still gets oily midday. I’m not entirely sure what to do about my situation, I need to meet with a Keihl’s consultant to see what other options they have. I do like the quality of this product.

My face truly feels cleansed after using it. The mint smell was a little strong for my liking at first, but then I got used to it and now I actually kind of like it. The mist that goes along with this cleanser feels amazing.

I no longer use it because of my dry skin, but it is a great product.

The mens face scrub has been my ABSOLUTE favorite Clinique product that I’ve used RELIGIOUSLY for many, many years. It’s the only cleanser/scrub that keeps my skin clear from minor, hormonal acne breakouts AND leaves my skin feeing SO soft, fresh, and tingly.

The scrub particles have always been VERY FINE and DENSELY PACKED. I prefer it to the “non-mens” scrub (though I’ve heard they’re the same) and find it superior to the 7 Day Scrub. Even though it’s a “mens” product, it’s always been gentle enough for my skin.

It contained some salicylic acid for acne but not as much as products specifically for acne. Plus just the right amount of menthol makes my skin feel fresh & tingly. **UNFORTUNATELY, after unpacking and using this scrub from my recent order.

I was SO disappointed & upset to find that my fav product has been reformulated SO drastically that it’s now UNUSABLE. Honestly, I don’t know how it could be usable to any face-even men’s- not just mine.

Those very fine, densely packed scrub particles have been replaced by what feels like gravel. That fresh, tingly feeling is completely gone. And the icing on the cake: after ONE use of this new formulation.

I had little tiny red dots all over my face (like petechiae) because it was SO ROUGH. Also unfortunate is how difficult it is to reach a human at Clinique to process a refund or exchange. Emails go unanswered indefinitely, and the “open” hours for customer service are not compatible with my schedule.

Bottom line: do NOT use this new formula face scrub.

My Wife recently managed to convince me to invest in Branded products for skincare and ditch my Ayurvedic product. Reluctantly I agreed. I managed to purchase the trial pack of those teeeny tiny miniatures which one could of received for free as samples from the local retailers and in all honestly was really impressed with the product feel.

This product foams easy. It washes well and even rises with ease. I was super impressed with how easily it foams and cleanses. you are left with a great feeling post wash. Really refreshing.

I bought it last month and tried the product for 2 weeks. The little samples are much more efficient than the big tube of a product. I will not buy again. The delivery was fast, the marketing and packaging is spectacular! The box is so beautiful! the presentation was great! Last year event in Vancouver I received a sample of the scrab for men.

I used it once at it worked so well: the skin was purified and felt smooth after I used it once. The big tube of scrab didn’t work the same way even after a week of usage. All samples of the products are great.

I like the pore corrector cream.

I have used the scrub before with great results, and the active wash with great results. I alternated them and was very happy. I was hoping for similar results with this product but what I got was way too much foam for very little exfoliant.

A grain here and there does not do much. Also this is the first product from the Clarins Mens line that has left my skin feeling dry, ripped from any type of moisture. That’s why I like Clarins compared to other brands, they make my face feel fresh, clean and ready.

This product made me think if its doing more harm than good. I have oily skin, so I can only imagine what it does to normal skin as the product says it’s for normal. I’ll continue with the face wash and look somewere else for the exfoliant.

I have been using Clarins products for 10 years now. and look 10 years younger. Please don’t change things if they are working. So many products have been dissapearing and changed for products that I have found not to be the same, and far from better.

I originally bought this for my husband. After hearing how much he liked it I decided I needed to try it for myself. I’m so glad I did! One, it smells AMAZING. Two, I love the slight tingle. Three, the ingredient that makes it a scrub is fine which allows for a really deep all over clean.

I have relatively oily skin that is prone to breakouts. This does not dry my face out but does leave it perfecly cleansed and exfoliated. 10 out of 10 for me!!.

A face scrub has been part of my cleansing routine for years, and this counts as one of my two favourites. Yes, it is grainy and some will find mildly abrasive. Personally, I love it. It works. You can always moderate the scrub sensation by the amount of product you soon and by how lightly or heavily you scrub with your hands.

For me, this is nothing but a treat. I love the fresh, clean and cooling sensation afterwards.

First, I am not male. I like to exfoliate my face twice a week. I found an exfoliator I love from a popular brand available on Sephora and on their own swanky women’s web site. The problem is the price.

I just don’t think everything has to cost so much money to be effective. My husband has used this brand for years. He doesn’t use the exfoliator. I ordered it and I think it’s really effective. It is definitely a rough sort of scrub, not for those looking for a gentle scrub.

But I use it and apply gently and my skin is so soft. It smells faintly of mint and is refreshing. It is white and my face feels clean after I use it. My pores look better as well.

I used to use this every time I did a clean shave and immediately after my face was amazing for days. I got this weird super dry are of skin where the top of my mask would be that just wouldn’t go away (not eczema), so I tried numerous lotions like aloe, some weird stuff my mom gets, whatever.

Then I was like wait a minute – I’ll try this stuff and just shave clean since that’s what I usually do when I use it. The dry skin on my face literally turned immediately back to normal after. I don’t know what they put in this stuff but sweet lord I might just start using it as body soap.

I’ll pay a thousand dollars for this stuff. Dove I’m telling you now if you discontinue it I’m suing for causing physical and emotional distress. If y’all wanna contact me with the name of the guy who created this I’ll send him a fat bottle of wine or something.

Wowza. I finally switched my face scrub to this and my face feels so soft & clean. It also totally tightened up my pores! There’s a slight fragrance but it’s really good & not super noticeable. I have really sensitive skin and totally recommend this!.

I use this scrub daily in the shower. I was amazed at how easily a little bit lathers up and I was able to cover my whole face and neck with just a little bit. I typically have dry and fairly sensitive skin, but leave the shower with my face feeling completely moisturized and smooth.

There are tiny beads in the scrub, but it doesn’t feel like sandpaper like some other washes and scrubs do, just right. I follow this up with a toner and then the Dove SPF daily moisturizer and have been happy with the results.

This is definitely my favorite of the series though. I’ve tried the Men+Care lotions, soaps, and body washes, but this is the most essential for me.

I just got into using charcoal related face wash and body products lately and I decided to grab the Everymanjack one when I was getting more the other day because I like the brand. Compared to others, the texture is smooth and slightly liquidy but not too drippy or messy.

The scent is the only downside to it, but honestly I justify it given the commitment to natural products and the organic nature. After using it a couple times you notice the effect on your face. It clears it up entirely without feeling any stinging or anything.

Was honestly impressed. Make sure you’re drinking enough water and washing after the gym and in the morning and youll see a huge difference. Pretty happy with the purchase.

This is great for anyone with combination skin or anyone whose skin responds well to salicylic acid. Biggest downside to this is the tube dispenses way too much at a time. A little can go a long way with this stuff and compared to a very similar product in a different type of container like the Yes To Tomatoes Detoxifying Charcoal Facial Cleanser, it doesn’t end up lasting as long.

I’ve noticed this with pretty much all EMJ products. Their packaging tends to dispense way too much product per use comparitively.

Really enjoying the scrub. It’s one of the top two products I’ve ever used in terms of how it feels on my face and how it keeps my skin clear. Lots of products haven’t worked that well for me, but this one keeps my skin pretty clear.

A few comments: – Make sure you buy the scrubs vs. the washes. The scrubs have little scrubbie beads, the washes don’t. The containers are identical and they make most variations in both kinds, so it’s really easy to buy one when you want the other.

I speak from experience 😉 – The scrubs could be a bit thicker. The washes are nice and thick, but my last scrub was a little more watery than I’d like. Not a huge deal, and I feel that each container is a little different, but a note in case EMJ is reading this ;).

I know face “scrubs” have been knocked down for their skin-stripping effect but this is different! not only is this facial scrub an AMAZING cleanser but it does not strip the skin or cause any can breakouts.

I am a teenage girl who has struggled with acne forever, this wash is the perfect exfoliation after a long day in a mask or even after sweating or working out or for a good pick me up considering the minty feel which is also a plus.

Okay, so this is the first face wash I’ve tried, but I really like it. It has a very pleasant minty scent, and you can feel the mint in it soothing your skin, as you use it. You can also feel the exfoliating ingredient as you massage it into your skin.

You’ll need to clean your wash hand basin very well after, to get rid of all the little exfoliant particles which you can feel but can’t see.

It definitely is a gentle exfoliate. If you are looking for something with more texture, this isn’t it. I appreciate that it is gentle enough for sensitive skin like mine. The scent is peppermint but isn’t noticeable.

Perhaps that’s a good thing. I am a fan of Harry products.

The first time I bought Bulldog shave gel, I bought the unscented, sensitive skin formula and liked it, but then tried a couple of different brands which I didn’t like as well. When I decided to buy Bulldog brand again, I couldn’t find the formula I previously used on Grove’s website.

I figured there couldn’t be THAT much difference between the formulas and bought this one, the original. I’m glad I did because I really like this shave gel even better than the first one I used. It smells great, and my razor easily glides through the gel for a nice, close shave.

I personally prefer gel because I have never experienced irritation or ingrown hairs with it as I have from foam or lotion based shaving products. I highly recommend it.

I bought the product with some of the BullDog shaving blades. It is a nice comfortable shave with the product. My gripe with it is that I read on the back there were no added synthetic fragrances added to the product.

Since I am sensitive to those I decided to give it a try. The fragrance from the product is exceptionally strong, and while it may be a ‘natural’ fragrance like aloe or something, it was just too much for me.

If they made a truly fragrance free version of this product I would likely buy it as otherwise this seems to work well with their blades. Nice comfortable shave.

I am 77 and have used almost every type of shave product on the market, this one far exceeds any of them! It makes for a very smooth shave, is easy to apply ( and you don’t need much ), does not accumulate in the razor, and rinses off without any effort.

In addition, the bamboo handle razor is superior to any other razor I have used to date. I only discovered Bulldog’s products 3 or 4 months ago. one of the most rewarding finds in men’s grooming products I have ever encountered.

I’m female and I’ve been using this product for years (like 15) because I liked the feel and the smell. The formulation has changed; it used to be thicker, grainier, now it has more liquid and softer grains.

I wish it would have stayed the same but I still like it for weekly use. However, the nozzle in the cap broke off into the hole on mine too and I could no longer get any product out of it! Sounds like a lot of people are saying the same thing here – wild.

I had to throw the bottle away, I could not even push the “pistol” through the hole and into the product.

The product is great, my problem is with the package. The last 3 tubes have all had the exact same issue. The piece on the underside of the cap that plugs the hole in the tube when you close it has broken after 1 or 2 uses, thus creating a mess when you store the tube in the normal manner.

I end up losing approximately 1/3 of the product. At this point I’m ready to look around for something else.

I would have loved this product if not for two things: 1. There is hardly enough coffee grounds or any other ingredient to call this a “scrub”. When I put it on, I noticed it was more like one or two random larger pieces that hurt; and otherwise just a gel.

2. I noticed right away that there was something menthol in it. My face started burning a little. Sure enough, on better look at the ingredients: peppermint oil. Which, I am slightly allergic to. It wasn’t enough to cause a rash, thank goodness, but enough to be annoying.

Other notes, the smell is also not the best. The ingredients list orange, clove, anise, etc. so you would imagine a deep spicy-woodsy smell. But instead you get strong grapefruit, coffee, and peppermint -so it comes off sour.

Overall, the gel part was silky smooth and my face did feel good afterwards. I just wouldn’t recommend this product in particular or probably use it again. It was decent enough for me to be interested in trying others from the brand though, as they seem to be environmentally friendly and the overall quality was good.

My husband has been using this for years. He’s tried many different ones but this is by far best he has used. It’s a foaming cleansing scrub that deeply cleans skin to unclog pore. It helps remove his dead skin and trapped facial hair.

He uses it every couple of days and it makes his skin feel smooth and refreshed afterwards.

What a fantastic product. I have tried a few Nivea products but this is definitely a staple. Where to start. The smell, it has the typical Nivea smell which epitomises cleanliness, it just smells clean.

The scrub works very well without being abrasive. Even over fresh sunburn. The celluloid beads are small enough to scrub but not too big to stick to your skin when rinsing. I’ve tested the scrub on myself after a day in sun, with lotion on, then the obvious layer of sweat then grass from strimming and it worked perfectly.

Clear fresh skin in less than 30 seconds, I did shower afterwards though. If you’re new to men’s skin care or face washes then I’d highly recommend this product.

Nivea Men Protect & Care Exfoliating Face Scrub. Having used the Nivea Face Scrub, I feel that my face is more cleaner and i have less black heads and oily skin after using the Nivea Face Scrub. It really helps to clean my pores deeply and its so easy to use , you feel the effects after the first wash or two.

I plan to purchase Nivea Men Exfoliating Face Scrub when my current product is near empty. Certain scrubs/cleansers he either didn’t like the smell, they made his skin feel “tight” or he just flat out didn’t like them. I bought this thinking here we go, let’s try another. What do you ya know, it worked.

I bought this for my husband. He likes it. It is a simple cleanser from a well known brand (even though I have never seen this specific one for sale in the US) I am training my husband to start a simple skincare routine and there is something reassuring for him to recognize a brand lol Korean skincare is awesome but routine people might find it wild to start using products with a weird writing on them haha.

OK if you work outside this is a must. Actually it’s a must have. It’s very effective in cleansing the skin and removing skin cells. It helps shrink pores. The best part it’s not pricey. I love this product.

I use it every other day or when I am extremely sweaty and dirty.

Bought this cleanser in June 2018 and have been using consistently for the past 4mths. I have sensitive skin. A bit oily too. The cleanser doesn’t foam but does leave my skin feeling super cleansed. The low dose acid is really good on my slightly ageing and oily skin plus the aloe and chamomile helps to ease my skins redness.

I’ve noticed over the mths that breakouts are almost non existent. Skin feels so smooth and I put that down to being cleansed thoroughly on every wash plus the exfoliating properties of the acid. The redness after watching has reduced significantly and my oiliness is more manageable.

Still there but that’s me I guess. Overall a fantastic product that is still going. October now and I’d say about 35-40% left so super good value and defo the real deal. Do your homework on glycolic and get the cleanser.

It’s a product that I would never have tried on my own. I’m a pretty basic kind of guy. However, this was given to me many years ago, and upon trying it, I was impressed. I love that it doesn’t take much to use.

I love that it doesn’t suds up like soap, and that it rinses easily. I don’t have to keep rinsing like I do with soap until the slickness goes away. And it leaves my face very clean without drying like soap.

I was quite excited to try this product based on its natural ingredients. I especially liked the idea of the crushed walnut shell as an exfoliant. When I first opened it the smell was great, and after the first wash I did not have any complaints.

I did also purchase the Ultra Light moisturizer to use after washing since I live in a dry climate, and I had a great initial reaction to that product as well. Unfortunately after using for a few weeks I cannot say that my skin feels any clearer.

Instead what I have noticed is that about halfway through the day my face feels quite oily. I have always had a hard time because overall I have quite dry skin, and my face tends to overcompensate for that by producing more oils.

Even in combination with the moisturizer this face wash seems to have made the problem worse. I appreciate a lot of things about this product, and it may be a great option for many, but did not work as well for me.

This product is honestly one of the best scrubs ive ever used. It always makes me feel nice, clean and fresh. This product is really golden all throughout the year. This productive is very effective with promising results.

Highly recommended. It’s not too harsh on your skin, it’s leave you feeling nice and smooth. If you have sensitive skin this is for you. It does the job but doesn’t feel like you’re being scrapped away when rubbing it on.

Wow, honestly my face feels so good after I use this scrub. I needed a scrub to go with my shower routine and this one is great. Feels as if it scrubbed off a layer of dead skin but skin is left feeling so smooth and soft.

Invigorating. The exfoliants give the skin a good scrub and polish. The scent is what keeps me coming back time and time again. So addicting!! I wish I had a body wash in this scent.

I am several months in of using your products and I use the full line the the exception of the beard oil. Mask once per week, hair routine 4 times per week, face wash twice daily, face cream twice daily.

All of your products work well together to attain the best results. I wished you could bottle and sell the light refreshing fragrance of the face wash by itself. I also encourage your firm to consider providing refills for the face wash since the dispenser is reusable.

I really like the face wash. I used to scrub my face with all sorts of cleansers and wash cloths. I don’t use a face cloth anymore and it seems my face is much softer and clean. I met someone who is 62 the other day.

This is my second bottle of Particle Face Wash, and it is so effective I bought 5 additional bottles so I never run out! The Particle Face Wash foams up in one’s hands, and is easily applicable to one’s face, resulting in a very clean and fresh feel.

You only need a tiny amount foams up well. You feel it getting to work. Then when you add your moisturiser it feels great. Add a touch of sun screen and good to go.

Bit pricey – but worth every penny. and it’s better value than you think as you only need to use a tiny bit to get a really rich , foamy lather. Gently exfoliated, leaves your skin feeling reinvigorated and lovely & fresh.

I like using the exfoliating face wash however, it often leaves my face feeling dry. So I tried the active wash. I like the smoothness of the active face wash but, it often feels too lose. Meaning, it feels like it has no substance to it.

I use a lot of it because I want to feel like I have something on my face. I love/hate the creamy feeling it has. I love the creamy feeling to it because that is something I feel a skin wash should have.

However, I also feel a wash should feel like it is working. Meaning, I feel like a wash should have an exfoliating feeling to it but, the exfoliating face wash leaves me feeling dry, even after I use a toner.

All in all, I would recommend this wash, just be sure to buy a lot of it.

Bought this for my son who was going through a spotty time. He had tried several products designed for oily skin, but they actually made it worse. I use Clarins myself and bought this for him to try, it’s a nice gentle formula, pleasant to apply and doesn’t strip the skin of its natural oils.

Within a few weeks of use his spots had all gone, he still continues to use it and his skin looks great now. The men’s exfoliator in this range is also a nice and effective product.
