This product handled some of my weeds but still have a mixture of odd weeds and grasses. I applied this in between the early spring turf builder and the Thick R Lawn. It required a waiting time of 4 weeks before the Thick R Lawn could be applied.
Southern Ag Atrazine with 4. 0% atrazine controls many broadleaf weeds (emerged and from seeds) in St. It controls Florida Betony, Spurweed, Annual Bluegrass and many other problematic weeds. It also suppresses crabgrass.
GrazonNext HL combines active ingredients for a broad-spectrum weed control of over 60 species of broadleaf weeds and 100 different types of weeds. The double chemistry in Grazon Next HL provides control against such annual and perennial broadleaf weeds such as hard to kill thistles, Canada thistles, horsenettle, nightshades, and ironweed.
It has excellent burndown on cocklebur, biennial thistles, dandelions, and others hard to kill weeds. It has both residual activity and systemic mode of action. Once sprayed, it penetrates into the foliage and moves throughout the entire plant, going deep into the root system.
It has a season long soil residual and is safe. Grazon Next HL is safe to use on such desirable grasses as fescue, bahiagrass, bermudagrass, orchard and mixed native grasses.
Kill weeds down to the root without harming your lawn (when used as directed)! Ortho WeedClear Lawn Weed Killer Ready-To-Use1 controls and suppresses over 250 types of weeds, including all major broadleaf weeds (see label for list), dandelion, clover, oxalis, chickweed, and spurge yet won’t damage your grass (when used as directed).
Its fast-acting formula is rainproof in 1 hour and delivers visible results after just one application. Herbicide enters through the leaves and works through the plant to kill and control all the way down to the root.
To use, install the Ortho Trigger Sprayer or the battery-powered Ortho Comfort Wand from your previous bottle, to easily reach and spot-treat weeds with a continuous stream — no bending or pumping required! Best to apply when weeds are young and actively growing.
Recommended for use on multiple lawn varieties including Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, fescues, common bermudagrass, hybrid bermudagrass, bahiagrass, bentgrass, buffalograss, centipedegrass, zoysiagrass, and St.
Controls over 200 broadleaf weeds including Dandelion, Clover, and Chickweed. See label for more. For use on Bahia, Bermuda, Zoysia, Kentucky Bluegrass, Fescue and more. See label for full list. 1 pint of the liquid concentrate weed killer can treat up to 8,000 square feet of lawn or turfgrass.
Apply in spring when weeds are small and growing rapidly and in fall for late germinating weeds. Simply mix weed killer concentrate with water at suggested rate on label and spray lawn thoroughly.
I spent several seasons unsuccessfully using Ortho Weed-B-Gon to eradicate Oxalis (Woodsorrel). Ferti-lome Weed-Out Lawn Weed Killer was effective with a single application. Be aware Ferti-lome offers the product in various active ingredient concentration.
I augmented the application with Hi-Yield Spreader Sticker Non-Ionic Surfactant. In addition to Oxalis, I am using Ferti-lome Weed-Out to control other broad leaf weeds. The product boasts control of 200 broad leaf weeds.
Applied as directed, the product is very slow acting but seems to be working well in most areas. No visible effect for about 3 or 4 days on chickweed. About 2 weeks required before significant change is visible.
Most effective on chick weed, less effective on dandelions, dollar weed, and others. Still waiting for effect to be visible on all others after about 2 weeks. Product coverage appears to be less than advertised.
With all that said, it seems to be better than anything I have tried before.
Works great! The concentrate is the better buy and way to go. I mix it with distilled water in the ferti-lome spray bottle. It kills the clover and not the grass!

My northern lawn was being overtaken with zoysia. A quick google search told me this was very difficult grass to get rid of, and included as many as 3 step processes with multiple types of chemicals (two applications of “the name brand” 50% glyphosate at 6 oz per gallon, and another application of a “the name brand’s” glyphosate diodome mix).
I used Remuda full strength at 1 cup per gallon (not recommended for broad application, but ok for spot treatment), added a dash of liquid miracle grow, and applied with a 1 gallon hand sprayer. Two weeks later, after a single application, the zoysia was completely dead, and the bare patches in my yard are ready for re-seed.
The best time to introduce a weed killer to your bermuda lawn is in the spring. This is because the bermuda grass is actively growing and will be able to better absorb the weed killer.
Why is Bermuda Grass a Problem?
Grass is a problem of weed killer for bermuda lawns because it is a broadleaf plant and bermuda lawns are composed of mostly grasses. The leaves of broadleaf plants are wider than the leaves of grasses, so when herbicides that are meant to kill broadleaf plants are used on bermuda lawns, the grasses are also killed.
What are the Best Weed Killers for Bermuda Grass?
The best killers of weed for bermuda lawns are:
-Glyphosate
-2,4-D
-Dicamba
-Atrazine
-Simazine
-Metolachlor
