20 Best Way To Carry Key Fob (2023 Updated)

This is a great design and very compact. I will admit, I thought the pocket clip looked a little sus and I didn’t know if it would keep the KeyCase pinned in my pocket. After a couple months of use, I’m happy to report that it has not failed me and I’m quite confident it will continue to keep my KeyCase put.

The locking screw and spring placement keeps my keys snug, and soundless. This thing is dope! It does take some time to get used to deploying your keys in the manner intended, but well worth it. I did have a couple of “Oh $hit!” moments from not being able to feel the weight of my keys in the bottom of my pocket, when I first started using it.

Now it’s a relief not having them there. If you like compact, organized and quiet, buy one! The KeyCase looks cool af, too.

This is a great product and matches my credit card holder from Ridge perfectly. I was old school, carrying around keys on a key ring, some which I used so infrequently I forgot what they opened. And the same could be said about my wallet, stuffed with notes, photos, credit and travel cards.

Now, I have all mu credit card info on my phone wallet along with photos, and my keys have been reduced to three, down from ten! Both products are incredibly sleek and attractive as well as beneficial to those of us that want to take advantage of useful ways to make our lives easier and less cluttered! I would highly recommend any product from The Ridge.

I really wanted to like this product, but it’s not working for me the way I had hoped. The Ridge Wallet is an incredible product and I hoped that this would solve the alternate issue with keys, using them, storing, etc.

The truth is the mechanism is nice for hiding and opening, but not so much for actually using your keys. While turning does provide more leverage that just a single key, it’s very awkward in the hand.

Also, the product is much bigger than I expected. So my hopes for slimming down the key footprint in my pocket has grown. Back to the traditional key ring for me.

I carry my keys in my pocket, so sometimes the magnets will pop apart and then attach to the keys, themselves; not a big deal, as everything stays in my pocket. I do have to pay attention when pulling my keys out, however, and adjust if necessary.

It’s a very minor issue. Recently, I shifted the MagConnect to the bands on the facemask I wear when grocery shopping, to relieve the tug by the straps against my ears. It’s great to get that quick-release when I get back to my car.

This is brilliant! I love just being able to grab and tug to dislodge my keys from my purse to lock/unlock my door. But the magnet is STRONG. I have no worries about it somehow coming loose or falling.

I’m rough with my bags and sling them all over haphazardly and they’ve not come loose yet. Definitely wanting more so I can put them on all my bags/keychains for easy switching. :D.

powerful magnets that’s for sure! Key ring is kinda small I added a regular size ring and it works swimmingly! I would recommend to all!

These fob carriers do block the signal. I bought one that is like a softer, flexible pouch and one more like a stiff envelope. The pouch style has a hook for the key on the inside and a strap to carry/hang it on the outside, bottom.

I think you’re supposed to keep the key fob attached to the inside so it’s always guarded, and then roll it back somehow to expose it for use. But I find the material very difficult to roll back, so I just drop my fob in the pouch and added a clip to close it.

(Maybe I didn’t get how to use it properly!) The other design is easier to use, but larger. My husband doesn’t carry either style in his pockets – too big. But he does use them to store key fob once in the house.

This is the second key fob protector I’ve bought in the past year. A lot of the ones you find on Amazon don’t have a secure way of closing the protector – just a flimsy elastic bandy thing, and are only available in black, which makes them harder to find if you drop or misplace the protector.

And that’s exactly what happened with my first one. I dropped the protector in our yard by accident at night (luckily the key wasn’t in it) and didn’t find it again until a few weeks later. By which point it was musty and dirty from being out in the humidity for so long.

I put it in the wash, only to discover that washing it destroyed the shielding. The Silent Pocket protector meets all three criteria (well 2 out 3 for sure, anyway). It’s available in a range of colors, and seems to be well made.

The durable canvas material has a quality feel, and I was able to verify that it works as advertised. With the key in the protector (you have to slip it inside the bronze-ish shielded pocket) and the cover snapped shut, I couldn’t open my car even from 1 foot away.

Even with the cover open, the key wasn’t being recognized. Sweet! The clasping mechanism is really nice. It snaps shut and holds the protector closed more securely than competing products that just have an elastic band.

It adds a quality touch and works really well. What’s more is that there are two more snaps on the back, which allow you to essentially fold the protector in half to make it more compact.

Product is effective at blocking fob signal. I can roll it up smaller because my fob is small. Like the snaps, easier & quieter than velcro. Looking for a short chain with split rings on the ends to attach between the fob & the fabric loop outside; Wish it came with one.

All in all, very satisfied.

I’ve had my keysmart for a couple years now. #1 – not everyone needs a bottle opener, why not make a few other handy types of items with a loop to put your big key outside on the end. #2 – the bottle opener loop interferes with any key it is up against, like my mail key.

I have to open the KS with my little mail key at a say 20 deg angle (stupid and clumbsy), besides, my 45yr old son asked me if I took up drinking?HA, not funny, actually humiliating in front of family.

#3 – add a stretchable semihard rubber/silicone key pusher, one for each key, diff colors so we can know where which key is and push it out. It just needs to wrap the head with a nub sticking out, offset diff colors to “shop” and find easier.

#4 – add an optional longer threaded rod to put a couple more keys on. These could be addible items so we don’t need to replace what we have. These could all be.

My extended key organizer is just as advertised. It works exactly as stated. What a wonderful product. I bought it to minimize the impact my keys had in my pocket. The extended key organizer performs that task extremely well.

It is an attractive product. It doesn’t hurt that one of the colors is my college color. I receive so many compliments relative to my KEYSMART. It is both functional and aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

I have already purchased another product from Grommet: the EcoEgg. I am beyond excited to use it. Ed Boucher.

So, a year ago I purchased a regular black KeySmart for my husband to put in his Christmas stocking. He didn’t seem to excited to excited at first, but after transferring his work keys to this he loves it.

I ended up purchasing him another one (blue) this year because I kept hearing him say how much easier, sleek and non bulky it was. He now has the two and uses them on a daily basis. Very happy with the quality of this product.

Only complaint would be that the color wears off on the edges, which is expected from having it in your pants pockets. Other than that its a great product!.

More of a gimmick than a useful tool for me. Pros: Good quality materials. Cons: Loop piece is too small for using it together with a ring and keys. If your keys have different shape or size bigger than showed in the marketing materials – loop piece impedes key movement.

Impractical to use if your keys have different shape, width or size. If you would need to remove one or two keys from the organizer – it would be a bigger hassle than using a regular ring, especially if you use spacers.

Expensive for what it is – 20$ for 2 small pieces of aluminum and 2 screws. 🙂 All in all – a pocket chain with a regular metal ring is more practical for me.

This could be the perfection of key smarts. I thought it was such a perfect cutout precision and ergonomics. Since it is not available in Japan, I purchased it from this store. They were very friendly and the product arrived within half a month.

While I can understand why many would love this product, I personally don’t like it as much. It is great for organizing, and keeping your keys tidy, but I find it can get in the way sometimes (with my specific set up) and if you don’t have enough keys or irregular keys, it can be a little awkward.

I like this key ring a lot. It feels like hard leather. Tge caliper side is a bit hard to open but the key ring is easy to get your keys on the ring. Overall it’s well made, and I’m happy with the purchase.

This is a great product that I would give 5 stars to if the carabiner where just slightly smaller. I think they’re certainly pushing it as small as they might be able to go and still maintain strength and durability, but maybe a different design as to minimize that part of the setup.

I do really like everything else about it. The magnetic release system works well and is very convenient. The quality of build and design is superior. I just wish everything was about 1/3 smaller in size.

I added a key guard/caddy for the my house keys attached to the carabiner and my car fob attached to the quick release. Overall, it’s still a lot of “key chain”, but a huge improvement over my last set of keys.

Still, GREAT product and if a smaller version comes out I would buy it.

I have been using the 1st generation Orbitkey Clip for about a year now. Being of a somewhat short stature, I have found it inconvenient to almost always have to unhook the clip in order to reach locks.

This is now fixed with the Clip v2. Also fixed, the plastic carabiner mechanism that loses elasticity after frequent hooking & unhooking, replaced with a hinged metal & spring mechanism that feels solid and built to last.

A minor gripe is that the Orbitkey Ring has been replaced by a simple spring loaded wire loop to hold keys. While it looks more sleek, it does not feel as solid as an Orbitkey Ring. Big pleasant surprise was discovering the Clip 2’s magnetic mechanism snapping securely in place & working interchangeably with Alpaka Gear’s modular accessories, making them a great combination! Great product!.

I got this basically to hold keys they didn’t suit the OrbitKey Organiser; locker, bike lock, etc. And it’s fantastic. Being able to have my keys on hand in such a secure way is amazing, having the magnetic attachment keeps in secure on the clip and it is almost impossible for it to come off without intentionally doing so, the magnetic release also stop the Clip itself from becoming worn out.

My only gripe, and it’s a small one, is that when worn on the outside of the body on a bag, belt loop, the keys do jingle a bit. Fantastic product, would highly recommend.

For the people saying the prongs don’t grip, you are not closing the hardware correctly. I’ve used DOZENS of these, they’re the only brand I use (buy with a coupon for better value). If you smash the hardware to close it fast, you will collapse the prongs before they can “bite” the fabric.

I’ve made fobs with cotton fabric, upcycled denim, grosgrain ribbon, lightweight vinyl, and heavier vinyl. Not a single one has had an issue. I place the hardware end inside a corner scrap (boxed corner cut) of fleece-lined fabric, cover with a small piece of corrugated cardboard, and very gently hammer.

I pull it out to check that the prongs are catching, made any slight positioning adjustment, and continue the gentle hammering process. Takes me about 2 minutes and works perfectly each time.

Great and easy to use product! Make sure when you are clamping it shut that you use a piece of fabric or something light weight so you do not to scratch the metal. I put a little snip to catch the hook, before clamping closed! I purchased 2 packs of these to make stocking stuffers for my daughter, her roommate and my friends which worked out great! I will buy these again!.

I bought these to make wristlets. The welds were not perfect and they broke apart. In addition, the prongs would only go through my fabric some of the time / usually just on one side.

Why did I wait so long to purchase this wonderful invention? Many times of dropping/ losing my keys like an idiot. The quality of this item is top notch. I could carry a 25 pound kettle bell on this thing.

Lovely product does exactly as described in the description. Easy to take off the handcuff key with one hand by pressing and releasing. Once keys are placed back into the holder they remain secure. Fits well with Met Police utility belt.

Excellent product, only complaint is the belt opening isn’t uniformly shaped. On thick equipment belts it fits in spots binds on others. I reshaped to a uniform opening on my vice with a iron doll. Now it works perfect!.

I am a professional housekeeper at a senior living community. I carry a huge amount of assorted keys. I bought this one to replace an identical one that Ive used daily for the last five years. It was perfect, holding all my keys, making it easy to pull out the one I needed.

I pulled out keys more than 50 times a day during that time. When the durable cord finally broke I had to find a replacement quickly. If you carry a lot of keys, you will love this keychain, I truly couldn’t function without it.

After losing my work security key card, garage remote and keys I needed something to ensure it never happened again so I bought a Key-Bak Super 48 and I’m very happy with it. The belt clip is long and fits over wide belts easily and is remarkably strong, no way will it come of your belt by accident.

The Key-Bak itself is sturdy and well made. It may seem a little pricey for something just to hang your keys from but it’s well worth the money. Replacing my lost keys and swipe card etc cost twice the price so I just wish I’d bought one earlier.

I’ve tried 4 other brands and all of them broke within 6 months. I’ve been using this everyday at work ( usually 60+ hours a week ) for months and it’s still going strong with no signs of wear. Outer shell is tough.

I have scrapped it tons of times and it barely leaves a mark. I recommend to all my coworkers ever though my company give us cheap ones for free. It’s not worth losing my keys or badge when the free ones break.

Works quite well at stopping the signal even with it touching the car. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it is a little inconvenient to move it between the regular pouch and blocking pouch during use but it is great security.

The even sent a spare for my spare key fob.

I seen this Faraday Cage key protector being used on a Dodge Charger and it works great on my car when the Key is in the Protector my Car will not unlock. It’s great and works for me Thank you very much I now sleep with out feeling that my Car will be stolen.

It works! My windows in my Honda SUV do not automatically open as this eliminates one key affecting another. Great buy.

All I can say is WOW! Where has this item been all my life! This is a great tool! and makes for a neat way to store keys! And for 29. 95 its expensive. This item is kinda like a folding knife but with keys! Im surprised they dont offer a pocket clip for this like a knife.

The directions arent that great but fairly simple to figure out. Just a tip Make sure you have all your keys lined up the way you would like or youll have to take apart again. This Does take awhile to get all washers in between keys and lined up but after that its easy! Ive Only had for a short time so I dont knw how long it takes or if it even does, but some buyers claim the Allen head screws loosen? But I cant see how with rubber o rings under them.

Worse case they do loosen use blue lock tite should fix any loosing problems. And they also state its REAL CARBON FIBER! So its light and strong! I would recommend this to anyone with keys. Theres also different size screws in all sorts of different lengths so you can add more keys if needed, All in all very impressed.

And item is German made And shipped from Germany if you buy direct from manufacturer like I did. That seems to be the best price I could find. So a word to the wise if you order make sure your home to receive package when its delivered as you will have to sign for it.

I looked at a bunch of different key organizers before finally buying this product. I absolutely love it! It is very light but is made out of tough carbon fiber. They give you plenty of hardware so you can customize it to just the right fit for all of your keys.

I love the fact that it has a hollow middle. It makes the keys much easier to see and access and align properly. It also comes with a solid loop so you can attach your bulky car keys. My keys now fit comfortably in my pocket all day and there is no more nonsense of them becoming tangled.

The first thing is Carbocage is very well made. I’m really impressed with its design and function. Far far better than other like designed products in its class. Very well engineered using Carbon Fibre and a useful set up down to the Screw Sizes.

I don’t think any other product shall surpass it for, Form, Function and Design. I will be purchasing another with full confidence. Well done.

Too large, also the ring is too thick, otherwise looks kind of well made, it comes in a microfiber-like bag, which is kind of nice but the bag isn’t really well made. It feels like it’s a product in limbo; not expensive enough to deserve a nice bag but not cheap enough to come without a bag.

It’s ok but didn’t like it overall.

Great if you valet your car. HOWEVER. Key rings themselves are a little too thick to fit some key fobs (such as on my Audi) and some keys have small holes as well. This necessitated the removal of the thicker key-rings and the substitution of thinner key rings on both ends.

These thinner rings are more of a “hardware store” quality and “cheapen” the look and feel of the item. (also they lack the Tumi logo!).

While I was looking for a new key chain for my girlfriends keys I came across this. It’s nice leather and the monogram was centered and just as pictured. My girlfriend likes to put it around her wrist and for that use it’s too small.

My girlfriend who is a petite woman and has small wrist still has issues getting it around her wrist. I will check out the wristlet strap. That would work better for my girlfriends needs. I would return this but I had it monogrammed.

To be very honest, I was VERY surprised at how this works. There are soooo many copy cat or different variations of this concept to organize keys and I have tried a couple here and there and they NEVER WORK very well.

The nut the holds the actual keys literally ALWAYS COMES LOOSE after time. No this one. The special “click” you here once you tighten it is the magic. The keys are able to swivel in and out with ease and so far they have not come loose.

I was paranoid and in my car and pulled out a nickel and thought to myself I better tighten this up. I turned it and heard/felt the click and was sooo surprised and happy and realized oooh so that is how it works.

Before this key organizer, I had several keys with key covers that were clunky and took up so much room. This key organizer is a game changer. It’s very compact but fits so many keys. I originally bought leather ones for me and my husband, and they held up really well over the two years we used them.

However, we always cleaned them with alcohol wipes after coming back from work at the hospital and clinic, and it really wore them down. I bought us the active ones and they’re so much easier to clean.

Now there’s no more guilt about ruining the material! I also love how you can switch out the hardware, so I changed it from the silver it came with to the gold from my old one!.

Look, I have been living for years with a clunky keychain with a multitude of keys and remotes. That bad-boy would fill the palm of my hand and be an annoying necessity I had to carry around. Cut to, I treated myself to a Orbitkey Key Organiser! I have a properly ordered stash of keys, that are easy to access and in a sequence that is easy to remember for my cluttered brain. Ford Owners: This is a beautiful keychain! Very classy and practical. The take apart function is great, especially when needing only an ignition key (e. g. , valet) without handing over other sensitive keys on the ring (house, office, etc.

). It was shipped very quickly, too. I was very impressed overall.

This fits the bill of exactly what I was looking for. Something that stood out and can hold a few more keys than the small ringlet that I was using prior.

Lanyard is made of twined aluminum or a flexible metal with a Length of an arm’s length. Precisely 24” according to TUMI Representive which was perfect for my ID Badge Well packaged in a nice gift box with a pouch i’ll never use.

Overall a high quality piece it is a bit bulky, thick and Heavy. I’d buy again because there aren’t any other options.

Bought this product to hold my office cards. Overall a very nice looking key fob and strong cord with a good quality. What I do not like is that the screw that holds the hook and the key fob together kept going loose.

Many times I had to scout the floor and was lucky enough to find it to re-screw it together. Eventually I lost the screw and now have a useless key-fob. When I asking a repair request at Tumi I received no reply or replacement screw.

I am a happy Tumi customer and use their suitcases/boxes during my travels, but would not recommend this particular key-fob.

This is a great Key Chain! I was looking for something I could attach to my Back Pack and grasp keys without removing my Pack. It is easy to identify on my bag and never fails to be long enough to reach for home and car keys.

It is quality item. I have used it only for a week but I love how it look and feel quality. I would have to see if it endures. Only thing that I can complain though is that the color of the leather is a little darker that the picture.

It is a faded pink unlike the picture which seemed like it was lighter/clearer blush pink.

The Valet fob pieces are difficult to remove and even more difficult to reattach. (and there were no instructions, so it was an accident that i actually got it disconnected from the main fob). This difficulty means that i will unlikely use the fob as intended and i will end up giving the entire key chain to a valet, rather than spend 15 minutes trying to get it disconnected and then another 15 to get it reconnected.

Not a user-friendly engineering effort.

This key chain is not only beautiful and classy but it is also very practical. It fits several keys without feeling bulky.

This is my favorite keychain. I attached it to the Chums lanyard and it keeps all my keys together. It’s so nice! Just bought my second one. First one lasted for years!
