Nice product. I had a few expectations that weren’t exactly met but that’s not a bad thing. I originally wanted the 2litre but it was out of stock. I’m glad I got the 4litre as it is smaller than I expected.

I thought that it would be a little over my desired size but it’s perfect. I also expected the bag to be rubbery and thick. Instead, the bag is like a stiffer tent material. With well glued joints, solid feeling zippers, plenty of adjustment on the waist strap.

I’m really pleased with the product on the whole, I cannot wait to get out on the water with it.

Great waist pack. Waterproof inner pocket. Non waterproof zip pocket. Nice drink holder on the side. Main dry bag area. great for suncream, inspect spray, lip balm, keys, and waterways licence. Good materials, belt easy to adjust, don’t really feel it on.

Good overall product.

This is my third Overboard waist pack, not to say that they are poor quality. The first did have a fault and was replaced outside of warranty by OB. The replacement has now met its day after years of abuse, so on to this one.

The design has changed again with the addition of a small outer change pocket and it feels better again from the previous models. It still has the drinks pouch and is not see through any more which is fine for me.

This pack WIL keep your valuables dry whist out on your motorbike or whatever your chosen use is, good insurance for todays expensive phones!.

Great item!! Bag is 100% waterproof and airtight when rolled and clipped at the top. Not as airtight when clipped at sides so probably not as waterproof (not risked it). Bag is also handy for a lot more than just water sports in my opinion.

I’m going to give this a four star review instead of five solely for the fact that I’m not really sure the touchscreen claim is accurate. the plastic is surprisingly thick, and other dry bags I’ve had that offer touchscreen capabilities have a lot thinner plastic.

Having said that, I feel like if you bought this so you could access your smartphone while at the beach or on a river, you’re kind of missing the plot. This is a good bag to carry your tech and other valuables conveniently and keep them safe and dry until you need them.

Admittedly, this is going to get inconvenient if you, for instance, want to remove your smartphone every 10 minutes to take a picture of something interesting or snap a selfie. However, I found that for my needs this worked very well.

The three Ziploc style fasteners really provided a nice sense of security, and it all folded up under a velcro fastening. Getting two for one was a bargain.

I received two pouches, one gray and one clear. I found the clear one easier to see my phone through. The touch screen worked fine through the pouch. I really like the 3 ziplock seals that make the compartment watertight, but for those of you who are older it requires some good grip strength to open and seal it.

I tested it by floating it in water and then submerging it for 5 minutes each. The contents were completely dry inside. Fully extending the web strap I measured 45?vs the 51?they advertise. The vinyl is very heavy duty and there is some reinforcement where it connects to the web strap.

That might eventually be a weak point depending on how much stress is put on it. Overall, I like it and think it would be very useful on the water.

Got this for water activities like hikes/kayaking. First time I used it was for The Narrows hike in Utah and glad I did! The water was at waist level in one area and I didn’t want to risk falling in the water and getting stuff wet.

This kept what I packed sealed and protected and having 2 of them meant I could pack another set of stuff or give it to a friend. The fanny packs are regular small fanny pack size. It was able to fit my items like my wallet, a big battery charger, and tissues.

It was intuitive to open and close. It was super well sealed and hard to open at first but I assume over time it’ll be easier to open. Overall, great product and great to have for my future trips where I will do kayaking, river tubing, etc this summer!.

I love how roomie this bag is. I use it for things I want to keep close to me while on the river or lake. I took it paddle boarding last summer and strapped it to the board. The current and wind picked up and I couldnt get back to the put-in.

I flagged down a pontoon boat, who dragged my friends board and I back to the lot. My bag was strapped to it the entire time and was fully submerged with my phone and other valuables in it. When we got to shore I opened it and everything was dry!!! Hallelujah! Highly recommend for anyone who gets on the water.

I have had this pack for at least 7 or 8 years. I have used it both for work and recreation. For work I use it to keep my phone, wallet and other items dry while collecting water samples on lakes, and while wading in creeks and rivers to collect water and biological samples, often with the pack underwater for long periods of time.

Recreationally, I wear it on the outside of my sprayskirt while kayaking for my phone and wallet. I have yet to find water inside after having it inundated at work or at play. Another reviewer had an issue with water in the pack; I’m not sure if this is the case with him, but many folks will squeeze the air out of a roll-top dry bag when closing it.

this is a BIG mistake as it can create negative pressure inside which can draw water in. It is important to close the bag so that there is positive pressure inside which prevents water from entering the bag.

I own a number of different size and shape dry bags and have never had an issue with this. This bag has cinch straps attached to each of the faster buckles and it is important to draw these snug. when in use.

This bag seems to be made really well. The only downside is the lack of the tacky material that really seals other dry bags. I think that this is the reason that it isn’t 100% waterproof. A tiny bit of water creeps in if the bag is submerged.

This was under pretty extreme conditions wing surfing.

I got this as a midsized snack pack for mountain biking. Light weight and hardly noticeable when I ride, and fits the essentials and a bit more! Starts smelling a little dank after a couple rides, but should be easy enough to wash.

Just what I wanted for short hikes and walks. Lightweight and comfortable! Fits a phone and keys easily with room to spare. Appreciate the tabs for keeping the straps down too!

This is a great product but, I have 2 issues with it. One is that the pockets for water bottles are a bit too short and the bottle falls out very easily so, I had to rig something up so it doesn’t but, then it’s hard to get it out.

And two, the pockets on the hip flaps have no extra material so one can only put a few dollar bills in them. I’d like them to be able to hold more than that. Otherwise, it is very comfortable and useful.

I went to the Bad Bunny concert in Puerto Rico in December of 2021 and this bag carried my life in it with ease. Everywhere I went I needed to carry my vaccination card and passport with me and this bag was a LIFESAVER.

SOOOO much space and pockets for keys, wallet, even a small bottle of water and more. The hidden back pocket was incredible. The color was EYE CATCHING and the straps were comfortable to wear that I sometimes forgot it was on me.

I love the size and color of the pack, as well as all the pockets. I am able to fit my eyeglass case in it, as well as my phone, wallet, hand sanitizer and a few other small items. I really like the small pocket on the backside which is where I keep my wallet, as it feels more secure since no one can get to it if I am walking down the street.

The only thing I would like, for myself, is for the strap to be a little longer to wear crossbody. It’s not too bad, but sits pretty high up on my chest, even with the strap fully extended. Other than that, the bag has been great.

Our Lincat water boiler failed. On strip down it proved relatively easy to repair and rebuild. These sensors, both the high and low water level are subject corrosion caused by limescale build up. They are easy to replace and and a massive saving on a new boiler!!!!.

Dont be tempted to buy just the probe. Buy the plastic securing fitting at the same time. The plastic becomes very brittle an will fall to pieces when you try to remove the old part from the boiler.

Bought this specifically to carry my dogs water bottle when walking him. The poo bags are fed through the headphone hole and works as a dispenser and theres plenty of other pockets to carry anything else like your phone etc.

We just received our waist packs and haven’t been able to use it. However, we feel that it will be an asset to our walks/hikes. I have a travel waist pack but it does not have a holder for water bottles and my husband has a pack this is for water but it is old and doesn’t hold the water bottle that good anymore.

I disagree with the other review saying that it’s too small to be functional. I removed both water bottles from the side mesh pockets and easily fitted them inside the main compartment. It still has room for your phone, park map, car keys, phone, and etc.

I bought this as a gift bc I had another fanny pack of the same brand (found at a discount store by chance) for 20yrs and still works as well as new so I think highly of this brand and intentionally searched on the web for it.

I’ve had a High Sierra waist pack for almost 8 years and have loved it, but the zippers are starting to finally give out. Thought this was the same bag, but not at all! The measurements given here include the two water bottles.

The actual bag between the water bottles is only 6″ across the opening and 7″ tall! I am used to being able to carry a small camera and sketchbook with me when I hike, in addition to regular stuff and this doesn’t have anywhere near the capacity I thought I was getting.

Hopefully I can return it, as it is useless for me.

I purchased this pack the night before I flew to DC for a work trip and a few days of sightseeing. I usually carry a shoulder strap purse around, but I knew I would be doing a lot of walking and that my purse would be too cumbersome.

This pack kept my shoulders free and happy. It held everything I needed it to (phone, ID/credit card, Chapstick, tissues) and was comfortable, cute, and adjustable. I would highly recommend this pack for the urban explorer, and I fully intend to use this pack for short hikes, as well.

I think it will perform beautifully. All around, great decision!.

I purchased online, something I’m not comfortable doing for personal items (I’m short, and find it really hard to get proper fit without trying things on in person), and now regret my purchase. The pack is smaller than I expected, and yes, I did check measurements in advance, but the way it tapers, it won’t hold what I need it to.

my two pair glasses and wallet. Additionally, the super wide waist strap is very much out of proportion to the small size of the bag. The strap is 1. 5″ wide, which is just too wide, and the ends of the straps on each side are turned under and stitched so they stick out.

I bought this fanny because I wanted something that would hold my keys and my phone. Women’s pockets are not large and I wanted to free up my hands. I love the canvas fabric and the two zipper pockets.

I’m not a runner, but a traveler. My travel buddy and I bought this for a trip to the MIddle East. (Fingers-crossed). It’s light weight and comfortable. (I’ve been wearing it for errands just to get the feel.

) The bottle does not fall out if you lean over. We wished the pouch part was a bit bigger. I can fit my phone, a pack of tissues and my passport (without any RFID cover) in, but not much else.

I have used the more expensive version of this belt for years and it is the best running belt I have ever had. I have tried many other options over the years. One day I noticed that the bottom of bottle was coating in a solid black gunk, not removed by anything, so I bought this one as a replacement.

I kept the bottle but continued to use the better belt.

Fishpond lumbar pack arrived relatively quickly. No issues with shipping and the bag has since functioned quite well.

First it’s heavy and you put a few things in it and it gets even heavier. The thing that bugs me the most is it only has one outer zipper; instead of two zippers that can meet halfway. So if I want to reach or put something inside the bag, I got to practically undo the whole zipper.

This usually entails having to stop and fuss with it. Of course, I could unzip halfway, but most bags come with two zippers and I can’t believe Showerpass missed this smple engineering design. I do like the two places to put a Ranger Hip Flask.

Another thing I don’t like is the length of the waist strap. I’m a 36″ inch waist and have the belt strap extended all the way out and can barely connect it. WIth a jacket it, it’s a chore. The Specs say up to 48″.

Huh-uh, nope.

This bag fit everything I needed for a full day of hiking, including but not limited to: 2- 24oz water bottles, 2 tupperware containers of food, my plastic trowel and other toilet supplies, stowed my clothing layers as the day grew warm, map, multi tool, bird book.

All this and it still wasn’t completely full. I even hooked on my walking pole and hat when not needed. I was concerned this bag was too large for my short 5′, 110# frame but I was comfortable in it all day.

It was wonderful to be hands free, shoulder free, and not experience the sweaty back syndrome. I will recommend this bag to all my hiking friends!.

First time I’ve used a hip pack for trout fishing and I have to say it’s awesome ,not quite as waterproof as you state but pretty good. I did make a slight modification in terms I cut and glued in a more ridged base to keep the pack from collapsing.

First off, I don’t use this pack for fishing. I use it as my day pack for travelling in third world countries in general, and their jungles in particular. I carry food, first aid kit, dry layer of clothes, a small tablet, a charger and one or two compact cameras in the bag.

This pack is notably different from its predecessors and the competition (Simms, Fishpond). Those packs, and the previous model Stormfront hip pack, are more of a “box on top of a belt” design. This version is more as if the pack is an active part of the belt – or as someone else put it, a girdle.

The bag is wider, taller and shallower than the alternatives. That means that the contents of the bag are also pressed pretty flat against your back. I personally love that, because it means that – despite the relatively thin and insignificant belt – the whole pack is incredibly stable as it sits in the small of your back.

Ever since I almost got knocked off a mountainside by the contents of a bag swinging around my center of gravity, stability is paramount to me. Even with it loaded up quite heavily, I can jump up and down, run around, bend over and basically do whatever I want, without either the bag or its contents bouncing or shifting around.

This, for me, was the main reason for getting this bag over the competition. Other pros (for my type of use) are: – truly waterproof, which is great if you have to cross rivers of unknown depth every twenty or thirty minutes – it isn’t padded or structured, so doesn’t look like a camera bag; in black or grey, it doesn’t attract much attention at all – the belt is comfortable despite being thin, probably due to the main pack working as part of the belt.

Even when loaded up quite heavily I didn’t feel the need to use the shoulder strap (although see below at cons) – the eyelets for the shoulder strap can be used as anchors for a carry loop using some paracord Some cons and things that could be improved for my use: – the buckle and other plastic parts that the belt runs through, don’t grab the belt tightly enough.

It’s okay when you’re wearing the bag, but as soon as the belt isn’t aligned with the buckles ( for instance when you’re holding the bag in your hand by the belt instead of by grabbing the main pack), the belt runs through the buckles way too easily, so the next time you wear the pack, you need to adjust the belt all over again.

Also, on one side the belt has a tendency to just slip through the buckle entirely, as the sewn folded end of the belt just isn’t thick enough to be held by the buckle. This risks having the back just fall on the ground, and is a design flaw.

Easy enough to fix by folding the end of the belt a second time and sowing it, but it shouldn’t be necessary on a 200 euro / dollar bag by a brand like Patagonia. – the “side utility keepers” are vertically oriented.

Maybe that’s great for fishing purposes (I really wouldn’t know), but for my purposes, horizontal would be much better. That’d allow me to lash a water bottle holder to it – I’d love a bit more organizational options inside the main compartment.

Right now there’s only one small mesh panel. I’d love a large velcro patch on the opposite side, so you can velcro dividers etc to it. – As it is, both the interior mesh pocket and the front water-resistant pocket are juuust a little too small to stash the padded shoulder belt.

Would be nice and tidy if that could be stored somewhere else than on the bottom of the bag Some points that aren’t cons, but buyers should be aware of: – Due to the tall / wide / shallow design, the bag is just a bit too shallow to comfortably hold a DSLR / mirrorless with big lens / bridge camera with the lens pointing down.

It can be done, but putting it in and taking it out are made just a little bit difficult by the fairly narrow opening of the zipper – especially if there’s other stuff in the bag beyond the camera (an otherwise empty bag can flex enough to make it doable).

A compact camera with the lens facing horizontally is no problem (Fuji X100 in my case). – In hindsight I should’ve gone for the grey option instead of black. Grey is almost as inconspicuous as black, but is obviously easier to see in twilight, and doesn’t get as hot in direct sunlight – which is nice when you have your lunch inside the bag.

All in all, I’m very happy with the bag, although the belt issues outlined above were a bummer (but easily fixable).

I just saw and tried this bag at a flyfishing store after reading all the reviews below. It is designed perfectly as far as I’m concerned for “flyfishing”. Don’t know understand why people write such critical reviews of a bag that is not designed for what people are critiquing it for.

Like going to a French restaurant and giving it negative marks cause the Chinese food in the restaurant is not good. hahaha. Anyways, like some of the other positive reviewers said, finally a bag that doesn’t look and feel like your carrying around a box.

I LOVE THE STRAPS particularly the way you eliminated those thick heavy padded parts that connect straps to the bag. I have a Simms bag and it so annoying and unnecessary to have this kind of strap set up.

if you know what I mean. For me the whole point of this kind of waist bag for fishing is to carry something minimalistic, functional and with a low profile. Patagonia once again has achieved this concept for me.

I love this hip pack. I use it daily in the south rockies for trout fishing, have used it up north on the Skeena swinging, and in the tropics for wading the flats. Love the neck strap, it allows me to wear the pack looser around my waist, making it much easier to spin around and reach the goodies inside.

On the days where I’ve left neck strap at home, it is tedious to loosen waist in order to spin pack. I’d love to see a water bottle holder on the side too. And what about a sleeve for a net? Kind of like the sleeve on the Wading Support belt?.

If you are very minimalist in what you carry around, this size would be awesome. I was hoping this would be big enough to carry a longer but thin wallet, iPhone, keys, lip balm, mini hand sanitizer but it is a tight fit.

I found the exterior pockets pretty useless. The fabric and color seem to attract any and all stains, even water leaves a visible stain until you take the time to wipe it down, but this thing is a grease magnet.

If you have any trace of something on your hands—hand lotion, a speck of sunscreen you didn’t see left on your finger, it will show. As a mom of two boys, I am used to my stuff getting dirty, but this bag seems to do an exceptional job of showing it.

I could say that I happen to love mushrooms … since the shape and color remind me of them … but I happen to love this little bag for all the wonderful little details, size, and yes, color. I don’t often need a waist bag yet am discerning (read picky) when it comes to finding a bag that suits my personal taste and this IS perfect.

I love the pockets for carrying the minimum of my necessities, I love the size for my phone, I love the fact the hardware matches the bag color rather than just sticking to a standard black, and I love the fact the strap fastens in front, not in the back as many do.

It will also make a perfect travel bag for when I need an extra for my normal cross body travel bag. Love it!.

This bag changed my formerly negative view of bum bags – I get it now! I wear it across my upper torso mostly, it’s pretty comfortable since it’s made of neoprene, which is kind of like a light padding.

I have a full bust so it can fit a midsize female form pretty well. The bag is on the smaller side but I can pack a lot in it – eye drops, nail glue, card wallet, phone, two lip balms, small sanitizer gel, meds in blister packs, space pen! I like that it’s small enough to throw into a bigger bag when I travel – I use it with the medium London Carryall bag often.

I’m a fan!.

First of all – I REALLY like this pack and the brand in general. However I returned it, for two reasons. The first was that the yellow was less ‘golden’ in real life. It was still a nice yellow, but not the colour I expected.

The second was that, as it has the limited edition liner (which is beautiful by the way) – the design of the liner shows through to the outside. So it looked a little splotchy on the outside. For that reason, I’d go for a darker color if I was getting a pattern lining.

I’ll probably be buying this in black if it comes back into stock.
