20 Best Travel Wallet For Europe (2023 Updated)

At age 67, switching from an old-style wallet was a risk. I hated the bulk of traditional wallets, but appreciated having room for a lot. That said, I’ve always been at the forefront of using technology (studied FORTRAN in the early 70s in HS, had PCs and been online since the late 70s), so I really do have everything on my smartphone these days.

I’ve even switched to a Keysmart for my keys and don’t carry around all those small scan-able loyalty cards. I just had to make the mental switch to using the phone more. Plus, calling up those loyalty cards in a smartphone digital wallet isn’t as quick and easy as touch-to-pay as you still have to open the wallet app, get the card on the screen and scan it.

Just not as quick and simply scanning a keyring-sized loyalty card. That say, I ams lowly learning to love my Ekster Parliament. My pants pockets and thighs are much happier too! My biggest problem with my Parliament is finding space for cards that are not credit-card size (think Medicare cards.

The government has yet to make an online version. Yes, I have a photo of it on my phone, but most medical places want the card to make a photocopy. My local library has a scan-able tag but it’s a non-standard bar-code which Google or Samsung wallet won’t accept, so it lives in the strap of my Parliament along with a small amount of cash and a Visa gift card because the cardholder is full already.

Glad I didn’t get a tracker, there’s no room int he cardholder as it is, and the back pocket holds a somewhat thicker proximity keycard I need for access at one place I work. Oh, and silly me forgot to respond fast enough when I first got the wallet a few weeks ago to get the free money clip.

I’m using a paperclip for now. I do love the way the card holder works, and how it doesn’t get accidentally caught in the pocket like some other designs that stick out. The quality and craftsmanship appear solid.

We’ll see how it hold up (my previous wallet was almost 20 years old and still quite usable and presentable. ).

I was hesitant because I have always held so much. crap in my wallet. But I really liked the way these wallets looked and functioned. Finally for my birthday this year my wife got it for me. I AM IN LOVE.

I literally show this to everyone I know with a whole sales pitch and everything. I have already been given 3 compliments from strangers in 3 weeks. Just from the scenario you would imagine; I whip out my wallet at Walmart to pay the cashier = Whoa! Thats a cool wallet! I had one woman recognize that it was an Ekster wallet and had questions because she had been considering getting her husband one! I am pretty sure she turned around and pulled the trigger! (bought a wallet to be clear!) I must say though.

I absolutely needed the version that has a fold. Realistically with used cards. (bent and what not) it fits 5 in the pop up and 3 in the other pockets (the fold). Plus the money strap seems loose for just a couple bills, but with too many bills significantly raises the fold when in the folded position.

So without the fold I would be concerned my money could slide out. To play devils advocate though. without the fold there would be no real width gain if you were to put more bills in the strap. More bills= tighter fit, less concerns with losing money.

Personally though the extra card pockets are a godsend. I have insurance cards in one pocket. My “do not use unless emergency” card in one and my ID in the exterior pocket for quick and easy access to pull out and scan.

It fits perfectly in front pocket, but I’ve noticed its slim enough that it fits in the back pocket off to one side so when you sit it ends up off to the side of of you’re @$$ cheek. I don’t even notice that its in my pocket half the time.

ALL in ALL 10 out of 10. Its got character, its slim and sleek, and it is sure to raise some eyebrows when you are showing it off or paying the bill.

The wallet is great! Nice and minimalistic, leather colour is amazing, aging very nicely. However there is just one slight problem. I dont think its anything wrong with the wallet, just the leather. Its covered in scratches! Ive had it for three weeks and it looks like Ive own it for a year and I own a cat.

Although it is soft leather and is prone to scratches but Im not a fan. If anyone wants to help me out and give recommendations on how to fix it, please. But other than this, the wallet is great. Serves its purpose the best Ive ever had.

Nice quality leather and craftsmanship wallet. Though it’s a bit small if you have a lot of documents with you – i have 2 residents cards because of my dual citizenship and 2 driver’s license, aside from 4 other bank cards and instant payment cards – i wasn’t able to fit all of them comfortably.

You have space for at most 5-6 banknotes before it becomes too cramped. It’s also too small for euro banknotes, which are 1 inch longer than dollars. I will use it because of the RFID protection and have another one for cash.

this wallet replaced a very similar style that held up for years. Almost a replica of the one I replaced. I wish the “slide holes” were a little larger but very well made and nice looking.

This wallet is a game changer. I love the idea and the ease of taking out cards with the thumb and hold cash like a normal wallet. I just wished the leather was slightly better but love it. No regrets purchasing it.

Having only used this belt for a couple weeks now, I can say that the webbing itself has started out moderately stiff and that the buckle appears to be of high quality fit and finish that I have come to expect from Trayvax.

It feels pretty capable as far as load carrying, but I know I don’t carry as much on my belt as some people. The best thing about this belt is the way the buckle can get a grip on the webbing as soon as you thread it through the first slot.

You can adjust the belt first—and then feed the rest through the slack end of the belt buckle without worrying about it loosening up on you. I would say this sets it apart from other belts that I have tried in this lighter weight category.

I have had the cinch lite belt for over a year now (same buckle design) and it has performed exceptionally. I like having the regular cinch belt as a step up for when I want to carry more gear on my belt.

I find these belts to be a great bang for your buck. With respect, my advice to the Trayvax design team is to include a ~1 inch wide elastic band with each belt for holding down the slack. I like to order the belts long so that I have extra webbing should it prove useful in a handful of instances, and I have sewn a loop for each of these belts now.

I enjoy the added benefit of having the excess kept taught beneath my belt loops. My only other request is that the lite version continue to exist! I found it to be such an awesome belt and love it’s ultralight nature.

I think it could find a strong foothold in the backpacking community should you want to concentrate more marketing there. Thank you for the awesome gear!.

Amazing product! I’ve used a minimalist wallet for years now and it’s so much more comfy then I expected. I’m one of those people that hate stuff in their pockets so a minimalist wallet was 100% the way to go.

I’ve used a knock off of the Ridge Wallet (no real difference in the products) for a while and I am happy I switched to this Fidelo brand. Comparisons & Product: Fidelo does an amazing job of shipping this product in a nice box, really makes you feel like this is an upscale item and I was very impressed with the packaging.

The wallet by itself is about a half an inch thick but it does feel slim in your pocket. Comparing it to a “Ridge†wallet type product I found it is bigger overall but lays more flat while in the pocket…let me explain, the “Ridge†wallet money clips extend out farther to hold cash since it’s only able to do that in one location.

This Fidelo product holds cash on both sides and/or in one of the sleeves on the outside. I’d only hold a few bills there though as folded cash bills up the overall thickness of the wallet. If you think a few extra centimeters won’t make a difference here, I’d disagree with you…but then this may not be a product for you personally.

Overall the leather casing on the outside has held up well/as expected…it has some wear on it and I’ve had the product for a few months, but that’s expected with leather items. The patina wear is something I like though.

The MAJOR WORRY I had with this product was weather or not the lever on the bottom would hold up to active use, since it’s a spring action, to deploy the cards…I must say so far it’s been perfect and feels just as strong as when I first purchased it.

The cards deploy about and inch or so above the wallet and are easy to grab, I use two cards primarily and I keep them on opposing sides in the wallet so I can easily grab them to pay for drive-thru items without fail.

Overall it’s a concern still but my doubts have been erased so far. I’d buy with confidence or consider gifting it to someone with a massive old leather wallet. This product exceeded my expectations and that’s why I recommend it so highly to anyone.

I grew out of my conventional wallet years ago. During the interim period I was using one of my niece’s hair bands ðŸ˜. Laugh if you will, but by George it worked like a charm … most of the time at least.

I really wanted something that wasn’t bulky and could easily fit in my front pocket. I spent literally hours researching these, and settled with this one because of the price and the reviews it received.

I ordered one in black for two reasons. First, it’s a nice color that can suit any occasion, and secondly, because so many folks mentioned that the leather case got marked up easily & I thought black might hide that better.

It’s been 3 months now and I’m pleased to report that my case looks exactly as it did when it arrived. I have 2 credit cards (1 smooth, 1 not, a warehouse membership card, 1 grocery card, 2 smooth ATM cards, and 3 paper business like cards in the main compartment.

I keep my driver’s license, car registration, proof of insurance, and health insurance card in the front slot on the case. I keep an additional credit card in the back slot. That’s a total of 9 plastic cards, 3 business cards and vehicle paperwork.

Not too bad if you ask me. The thing I like best is the staggered way the cards pop up in the main compartment. It’s wonderful when you’re in a hurry and need a particular card fast. When I was using the hair band, you had to take the band off, allowing all the cards to be loose.

This caused me to lose my vehicle registration paper once and my proof of insurance paper twice 🤦🠼†♂ï¸. Not fun. My only issue is that it’s not as narrow as it was when I was just using the band.

I almost bought a different brand/style just for that reason. That was until I read a review on the other style, (2 mettle plates held together with a wide band 😉. ) apparently the other style, while narrower, worked just like my hair band solution.

You had to remove the band, freeing up all the cards. I didn’t want that. I’m pleased with my purchase. It was far less expensive than any conventional wallet I would have purchased, and it definitely looks nicer than using a little girls hair band 😂.

First off, I ordered this on a Tuesday, it delivered on Wednesday. Kudos on the fast fast delivery! I’ve only had this a day now, so I might add to this review later, but I already have my primary needs addressed and unlike the money I wasted on tickets to The Matrix Resurrections, I’m quite satisfied with this purchase.

Things I like: 1) Using the leather case pouches, I can store two scan badges that both work from the pouch. No idea (or concerns) for rather or not the RFID works for cards in the internal, pop-up case, but a former wallet shielded my scan badges, even when stored exteriorly, which was annoying.

2) The wallet, including the leather case, fits very nicely in my front pocket. I carried a rear pocket wallet the majority of my life, and since transitioning to front pocket a couple years back, I don’t want anything in my back pocket.

This wallet fits perfectly, easy to access, even sitting down. 3) I was not a fan of the pop-up concept in the photos, seemed gimmicky to me, but gave it a try anyhow. Works great, smooth, easy to access cards.

Overkill? Maybe. Gimmick? Not really. Effective? Yes. 4) Leather case looks great, feels of high quality. I got the “Expresso” variety, and though it does not have that strong, roasted flavor I expected – and lacks that caffeine punch I need in the morning – it’s perfect for me, looks exactly like the photos.

Reservations: 1) Internal pop-up case feels a little on the cheap side, I would not be comfortable carrying it without the leather case. Rather than screws holding it together, like my Ridge is assembled, it cannot be disassembled, and probably can’t be adjusted or repaired if broken.

The pop-up card holder may be aluminum, not sure, but has a thin, plastic type “breakable” feel. Nonetheless, this feels durable when in the leather case, which is how I’ll carry anyhow. 2) Using the leather case, and carrying a card in each of the two card slots, cash capacity is very limited.

I don’t carry much cash today (who does?) – but maybe I use a twenty for a cup of coffee and wind up with fives and ones as change – that *** ain’t gonna fit, have to put it in another pocket or have my wife carry it.

(Latter option means $20 cup of coffee ’cause I’ll never get that cash back!!) Not a big deal really, but worth noting this wallet is for card users, not so great for cash cows. The wallet comes with several straps to use as money clips, etc.

Akin to my sister-in-law’s organic, gluten free, low sodium, enchilada’s (made with free-range chicken, no antibiotics, ever), these are useless to me as I’ll only carry this within the leather case.

If you carry big stashes of cash like movie mobsters, maybe these straps could secure your rolls. MacGyver might assemble these into an explosive device and make a daring escape. I’ll probably toss them in that drawer with my VGA cables, wheat pennies, paper clips, mini USB adapters.

Old pens. C batteries. Random sized screws. Fidelo boasts a hassle-free lifetime warranty, so “maybe” the durability concerns are not big deal, “maybe” a guy never has to buy another wallet? For this reason, I’m not docking any stars as I am very happy with my purchase at this point.

I purchased this as a gift. I browsed this item on the brand’s website but the shipping time was too long. It was available on Bloomingdales with quick delivery so I purchased it right away. It arrived nicely packaged in its original box.

I bought this a few months ago and, as other reviewers have mentioned, the quality is terrible. The button for the wallet came off and there are seams coming off as well. Customer service was no help and refused to exchange the wallet for a replacement.

If purchasing this wallet or a similar one, I highly recommend purchasing it from a department store that will offer returns or exchanges on defective products– this store won’t!.

After owning the wallet since Dec 2019, I’ve come to love the wallet for it’s minimalist look and size, and functionality. Pros: – My favorite feature of #4 is that there’s a loop so that I can attach my keys to my wallet so that I don’t forget one or the other and potentially lock myself out.

A special functionality of the loop that the #4 images don’t advertise is that you can hide the loop from view by folding the loop inward so that you keep a clean aesthetic. This is very useful when you’re going to classier functions where the loop and any attachments might look a bit childish.

Cons: But the wallet is not without it’s flaws. My two biggest complaints with the wallet is 1. The elastic of the wallet keeping the two sides together has significantly weakened over time. I wish the elastic lasted longer, though not sure if this just an inherent problem with elastic.

Or alternatively a better way to keep the two sides together. 2. I wish the shorter side of the wallet was just a tiny bit wider/longer (depending on how you look at it). I prefer putting USD inside of the wallet in the clear pocket, and I only like to fold the cash once in half.

The half folded cash in the pocket gets scrunched a bit when the wallet is closed.

I’ve been using 2 of Nik’s wallets (style 4 with loop) to replace my leather wallet. Wallet1 (in Black 400 Halcyon) has my credit/ debit cards on side, and Tile tracker and cash on other sides. Outside pocket is used to store shop receipts.

Wallet2 (in Island 210 Ballistic) is used for store/ reward cards. What I like: well made; works well with key strap and o-rings to provide great security (i. e. integrates well with TB ecosystem); takes up a bit less space than my leather wallet; encourages me to carry less.

What I don’t like: quite fiddly and inconvenient in everyday use: having to roll/ unroll cash; having to juggle between 2 wallets to find right credit card and reward card depending on which shop you are in.

With my leather wallet I can do all this pretty much single handed – more easy and convenient for me in everyday use. And since cash notes and credit cards are each in their own sleeve/ pocket, they are much easier to find.

In conclusion I think Nik’s wallets are great for people who want to carry minimum in their pockets ( but less suitable for me who always carries a bag, with nothing in pockets).

I’ve used a Herschel Supply Co. “Charlie” wallet for years, but was ready to make the switch to something even more compact and less stiff. I did a lot of research into the best “minimalist” wallets from a reputable and ethical company and Tom Bihn kept coming up.

I had never heard of TB before, but gave it a shot after all the positive reviews. At first when it arrived, I was worried it was too small, but the material is flexible and stretchy to hold everything.

The cards aren’t snug inside the two pockets if the wallet were to flop open, but the elastic band is strong enough that I’ve never had that happen. On one side, I have my driver’s license, insurance card, work ID, and a few loose business cards.

On the other side, I have a Tile wallet tracker, and three bank/credit cards. It fits comfortable in my pocket without being as stuff or uncomfortable as I found my old one. All in all, I’m very happy with the wallet and can see this lasting for years.

Used this on a month-long trip to Paris and weekend trip to London, and it was PERFECT for airport and train travel. I kept cards and metro passes in the card holders, cash on one side, my passport (and my husband’s for the airport) in the other, and our vaccination cards in the small slit in the middle.

Super easy to get in and out of so no one had the opportunity to grab it while I was fiddling for payment or ID. And it fit in all of my purses, even my clutch. Only potential improvement – an small zipper for loose change, since Euro/Pence coins are so frequently used.

Regardless, it was exactly what I needed.

I searched high and low for a wallet that would hold my passport but wasn’t bulky or tacky. That’s hard to find. This is perfect. I’ve now switched it to my every day wallet. I am obsessed with it. I would’ve preferred a cognac color but I still love the black.

The only bad thing is that you really can’t use more than one card slot on each side or the magnets don’t work very well, but that’s not a problem because there’s a pocket for extra cards. I just took this to Croatia and it was so nice to be able to have my card and ID, currency, and passport all organized, separated, and in one place.

I bought this passport wallet just for day to day and it is exquisite! I love how it magnetically closes. It is so nice and thin (I hate bulky wallets) and the little back card holder is perfect for my metrocard.

It fits in my small purses much easier than the standard long wallets, but holds all the cards and cash I need. It is the envy of my sisters so you may have two more customers soon. I haven’t seen many wallets like this, except for this old slim Hermes one my cousin has that I’ve always coveted.

This one reminds me of that. The oxblood color is exactly what I’ve been wanting, and this is far cheaper than the Mulberry wallet that is similar which I was also considering. But Dagne Dover is woman of color owned so it felt like a better choice even besides the expense.

The quality is so good! I’m spoiled by Mulberry leather and this Dagne Dover wallet is comparable. I am just smitten and am now a loyal customer!.
