20 Best Travel Toys For Toddlers (2023 Updated)

I bought this to hang on my daughters stroller when she was a baby. It’s so cute and well made. She is now 2 years old and the toy has held up great! She still likes to bring it around with her when we travel.

Our daughter loves this toy! Around 3 months she started hating the car seat and would cry any time we put her in it. When we added this toy she started to enjoy it more and now seems to be genuinely happy to be in her car seat.

Super cute, however, the fluff was already coming out when I removed it from the package. I sadly decided that I’m returning it, don’t want my baby accidentally eating that stuff. Wish it had been more sturdy, would have certainly kept it then.

Just received it and gave it to my 1 year old grandson. he was intrigued with the different snaps and zipper. He will be entertained for a while with this adorable plush leaning item.

I bought this for my 2yo grandson who loves to play with his car seat buckle. This teaches him matching colors and works with dexterity to get the buckles to fit correctly. There is a zipper on one side that is also lots of fun.

It’s what I expected. It could have a little more stuffing to make it more full). Would prefer if there were other options (velcro , crinkle fabric, snaps, etc) to go along with the buckles.

This is a nice toy, but recipient is 9 months old and does not yet have the dexterity and coordination to push the buttons. He will pick it up if it is near by and his 3 year old sister will help him with it, but she does not seek out this toy.

We bought one of these Shelly’s for our daughter to take on an airplane over a year ago. It was great! She still plays with it to this day in the car, at a restaurant, or even at home. I’ll even admit, I’ve found myself playing with it.

If fits nicely in a diaper bag or purse. I bought another one for my niece now that she’s old enough to fidget with things!.

I had just got into fidgets in June 2021 and had a small collection and wanted more. I had noticed that there was a store in our local mall that had this exact same toy but I didn’t want to buy it as it was kind of expensive and for a baby (stigma, hate it).

The dumb thing was that I picked it up and couldn’t stop popping it. So more further proof there, kicking myself and wallowing in regret & self-pity. But ever since, I couldn’t stop looking for it. I couldn’t find it, till now in Nov 2021.

I also watch YouTube videos regarding fidgets the more I watched, I wanted it. I also noted that everyone had this pop it and all forms of Dimpl’s. To me, it’s the only pop it that popped on both sides with no loud and or quiet side (apparently all pop it has a loud and quiet side or name brand pop it had either or, I think).

I love it and would recommend it to all. Also, it was more expensive here but well worth it. I love the colors, the plastic frame, and the plastic dimpl/pop its. This is essential, a must-have in every fam/household, brand name, and a high-end quality made product.

I purchased this to help keep my 21 month old busy during a long car ride. She enjoys popping the different sized and colored domes back and forth. She occasionally tries to chew on the largest dome without any negative consequences.

There are two places I think the Dimpl could be improved. 1. Make it dishwasher safe – the fewer items I have to hand wash the better. 2. Add a lanyard hole, so I can use a pacifier leash to prevent it from getting thrown out of reach of the car seat.

The lanyard hole might allow someone to connect a dangerously long cord to the Dimpl, so I can understand why there isn’t a lanyard hole. Overall great toy!.

I believe in the value of a toy that can be played with for years. This is it! My son, who is now 20 months, enjoys manipulating his dimple – popping the bubbles up and down. At 6 months, he loved chewing his dimple – super easy to clean all of that spit off.

At 60, his grandparents can often be found fidgeting with the dimple and giggling while they do! Basically – this is the toy I buy for all of my friends when they are pregnant. It’s an engaging and quiet toy for development of hand skills, finger isolation, and understanding of cause and effect.

Didn’t work for me and my specific type of car seat because the handle curls but if it was more straight ot would’ve worked fine

So my baby likes to sleep during most of the car rides but this has been a great Addition to his car seat. He stares the entire time at these hanging little toys and keep him busy.

Baby loves this! But it stays scrunched together and will not pull apart which is a bummer.

I love this little lemon! It’s definitely larger than I expected, which is a good thing. It’s a great size to not easily lose and baby can still cuddle and play with. I love that each lemon slice has a different sound.

Don’t wait to buy this! It’s adorable and my daughter is obsessed with it. You can hang it on a car seat, but I bought it for my 18 month old as a quiet toy to have in church! It definitely kept her attention!.

I purchased this gift for our niece who was about 18 months old (give or take a few months), and not only did she love it, but so did her 2. 5 and 5-year-old cousins! Her parents were also excited about the shapes, colors, and braille.

We only wish the product came with Spanish instead of English options (or in addition to!) since her family is bilingual. Her mom commented that she really appreciated that it was well made but also thoughtfully made – no sharp corners, strong durable material, easy to clean, really great quality (especially compared to the flimsy plastic ‘pop-its’ that are popular right now).

Still, a fantastic product and I’d absolutely get it again for kids that age (maybe even older with how well it was received!).

I like how this is taking a fidget popping toy and adding some educational pieces to it with the colors and the shapes. Adding braille is a nice touch too. It’s reversible, so each side has its own rubber layer to pop.

The downside to the double layer is it makes it slightly harder to press. My 3 year old can still use it, but a younger child may have some difficulties being able to push the bubbles in.

This Avocado is so cute and we always get compliments on this toy! My son likes this toy a lot and has been a favorite since he was a newborn until now (8 months). He likes the rattle in the avocados tummy and tries sucking on the plastic part.

I guess he thinks it’s his bottle? I’ve washed the toy once in the washing machine and it still looks great. I think it was worth the price and I would recommend to a friend.

I bought this because I thought it was super cute – love guacamole/avocados! The rattle is great and I adore the concept. It’s not executed perfectly. The velcro doesn’t quite hold the two avocado halves together (which is silly, but it drives me crazy).

There’s not enough of it. it’s like a puzzle piece that won’t fit! Also, it came with a ring attached in order to hang the toy (from play gyms, car seats, etc), but it was not the most functional ring like I’ve seen on other toys.

It came out of the ribbon too easily – should’ve had a hook or something to stop it. Maybe they could make these tweaks and I’d buy it for everyone!.

This avocado stroller toy is so cute! Its quite big in person too. Great quality. It says not to wash it, only dry clean, but that’s inevitable especially when my baby puts everything in his mouth. I’ve washed it so many times (hand wash) and it held up pretty good.

Worth the purchase!.

Bought for use on our travel system, it fits on most things including the car seat. When baby is not asleep he really engages with it. fun sounds, textures and colours/patterns. I really like abstract design.

A little expensive but money well spent!.

Lovely toy with nice variation but the bits that hand off it could be longer. Son struggles to reach them on car seat and pushchair. We don’t put it on the handle as design, have improvised and hooked one part of spiral so secure and rest hangs down.

We lost this before baby was old enough to play with it properly but it was nicely made and worked well. It attached to pram and car seat easily, is unisex and is nice to have when baby’s tiny to give them something to look at.

A bit expensive but much nicer than other ones.

My new granddaughter 8 weeks old had a beautiful neutral wood overhead playstation with lovely white, textured shapes that from her view point looked like nothing. I bought this & clipped it on the horizontal bar.

The high contrast colors, sounds & textures got her attention. Highly recommend & extremely affordable & flexible to mount on many pieces of baby equipment.

Worth every penny. Baby girl absolutely loves this toy. Should’ve seen her fixate on it the first time I gave it to her and she still loves it months later. Very happy with this purchase.

Very cute toy per website. The little red nose was a issue for me to give this to my grandson. The nose was very losly made and the material was made of a red fringy/stringy material. The fabric pulled off from the nose which would go into the baby’s mouth.

I did not feel it was safe. Seems the nose would have been made of a safer fabric.

An infant will crawl over a pile of toys to reach a whoozit! My oldest son, now25, had a pooh bear which he left in his bed. My younger son, now 22, carried his big whoozit everywhere he went like Linus with his blanket.

Whoozit now lies stored in a place of honor for his child to come. This toy is incredibly sturdy and will make all infants grin and reach for it. Now I buy them for nieces and nephews–the result is always the same–babies love whoozit!.

This is my favorite gift for babies! I’ve given it to so many friends for their little ones and every kiddo has really enjoyed playing with it during the first couple of years of their life. A total winner for a newborn.

My son is 5 months old and now wants to be entertained most of the time instead of sleeping. This Cria Musical Toy helps with that! The clip is very easy to attach to anything you want, and is easily removeable to reattach it elsewhere.

We clip it to his jumper but sometimes take it along with us for errands. It dangles well, is very soft to the touch, and the bottom ring is soft so perfect for teething little ones. As a parent I feel like its easy to pull the ring down to play the music but I feel like its too hard for a baby to do.

Perhaps that will change the more its used and the older he gets though. Very well made, plays a nice tune, not too loud and not too soft.

I received the Ingenuity Cria Musical Toy to test. This toy is a cute little llama that has a pull string that plays music when you pull on it. Even though the llama has some light blue on it, I think the toy is gender neutral, so it would be a great toy to give for a baby shower.

The llama is very soft, so your baby will like to hold it and even chew on it. This would be prefect to attach to the car seat for your little baby to look at and play with. Once they are older they will be able to pull the draw string in order to play the music.

This is an adorable toy for baby called Cria the Llama. It is so soft and cuddly. The colors are neutral enough that it is a perfect gift for that special little girl or boy. Because it is so soft, it is a perfect choice for newborns to older babies.

What a great gift for my one year old Grandson and he loves all the the things he can play with on this VTech Turn and Learn Driver. He has so much fun with all the bright colored buttons that show him different animals and types of transportation.

The on and off button resembles turning a key to start a car, makes a little noise like the engine is staring and coming to life! The steering wheel turns left and right. It has a turn signal lever that makes sounds, and a shifter.

Both my 9-year-old and 13-month-old sons have played this Vtech musical toy since they could sit up. This toy really motivates them to manipulate their fingers, two hands to play the toy. I like #Vtech toys for kids. I just purchased this #Vtech turn and learn toy for my granddaughter River. She loves any toy that makes noise and she can move with it. My 18 month old really enjoys the Vtech Twist & Explore Caterpillar. The colors are bright and gender neutral. The product wiggles and shakes and is easy for a toddler to grasps. He really enjoys the sounds, blinking lights and interactive parts.

The toy is small enough to throw in a diaper bag and perfect for traveling. It can keep young ones entertained for some time with its sensory features. My little one used it as some teething support as well.

VTech always has the best learning toys and Twist & Explore Caterpillar is a great addition to the ones we already have. My little one loves all of the activities he can do with it from twisting and shaking it so the beads shake which he finds fascinating, but he really loves the sounds.

He doesn’t sing, but does try to dance to the songs and he loves buttons and the caterpillar has a heart button. It is very easy to use so he can do all of the activities by himself. It is a very engaging toy and we take it with us every where we go.

VTech’s Grip & Go Steering Wheel is so cute and fun. My 7 month old absolutely loves it. She takes it with her everywhere. I love that its super portable and it is easy for her little hands to hold. When you turn it like you are driving it sings cute little songs and makes cute noises like vroom vroom and the top rattles from the beads as the wheel is being turned.

If it does sits idle for a moment it sounds like a car cranking up and says ready to go. The little lion in the middle also sings cute songs, has lots of sounds and phrases. The signal lights also flash and play songs and the key also makes the cranking up sound and tells your little one to wave Bye.

It also has a strap the you can use to hook it to strollers or car seats. This is a great toy for car trips and outings because you have no parts to loose and it keeps your little one entertained for hours at a time.

We love out Grip and Go Steering Wheel.

This is such a great toy to make your child feel involved in the car! My baby loved it so much! It has an interative lion that you press for songs, melodies, and phrases. You can turn the steering wheel for silly songs and music.

The signal lights flash and play melodies with actual signal light sounds. It also has driving sounds and you can press the key for car engine noises, and driving phrases. It has volume control for quiter play, durable design, and automatic shut off (very handy).

My favorite part of this toy is it straps to the carseat carrier, or stroller! So handy!!! It teaches sounds, music, sing a long songs, and fine motor skills. It has 45+ songs, melodies, sounds, and phrases.

It teaches tactile, discovery, and motor skills. My baby loved that she felt like she was helping me drive! It also has a cute little fuel gauge and speedometer.

This grip and go steering wheel by VTech is okay. It’s cute. I do not care for how it attaches to things, though. Has two little lights that light up. Plays car sounds and music. Press the lion (horn) and he sometimes roars and sometimes it beeps.

Steering wheel spins completely around continuously and makes car noises. I like this except for the attachment to things. Doesn’t work as well as I’d have hoped. Child likes it.

My son actually loved this, but it would not stay up on the handle bar and kept dropping on his face when he would pull or play with it. The Velcro straps are so loose and made for a wide-handled car seat.

For that reason, it unfortunately didn’t work for our Nuna car seat because the handle is too narrow. And the Velcro straps wouldn’t tighten enough. This would’ve been great though, had it fit our Nuna.

A suggestion for Infantino would be to make the Velcro part more adjustable to accommodate narrower handles.

I loved this toy for baby, but as soon as I took it out of the packaging it stopped working. Changed the batteries and did everything I could to get it to work. I ended up returning it back to target and they took the return with out the original packaging.

I plan on buying another one as soon as my store restocks it.

I love this product. Car rides were not the easiest for our little guy but buying this trio has made a world of difference. I love the different textures in the pieces as they help with sensory development and teething.

They keep my 5 month old entertained and that’s always helpful while driving.

The elephant in this set has only one ear. Because of the way it is packaged it isn’t obvious until AFTER you purchase and open the package. I verified with Infantino that this is how it is made.

They can be played with or hung from stroller , swing etc
