20 Best Touchless Car Wash Soap (2023 Updated)

I have been looking for something more than quick detailer to clean my car between washes, especially once the weather turns bad in the Midwest. I was skeptical about this product at first, but it has pleasantly surprised me.

It does a very good job cleaning, leaves a nice shine, and boosts the water beading. It is very easy to buff off. I even used it on my exterior glass. It actually did just as good or better than stand alone glass cleaner, and left no streaking.

My car had been polished and waxed fairly recently, so if your paint is neglected, ymmv. If your car is very dirty with mud or road salt, I would run it through a touchless car wash prior to using this product.

I also recommend using clean microfiber towels that have been washed and dried with NO fabric softener or dryer sheets to prevent streaking.

Five main advantages in my amateur “kit”: 1. It’s easier to buff-out than Chemical Guys Ecosmart Waterless Car Wash, since it doesn’t contain carnauba, just synthetic sealants. 2. OMG it is glossy – I use TW Ice for my base coat, and the result after a car “wash” with CG Swift Wipe is equal to or better than my original base coat application.

3. OMG it’s slick – once again, preserves or exceeds the base coat slickness. To me the total effect of glossy & slick are up there with a freshly detailed care in an auto dealer showroom. 4. SO easy to apply and buff out, much less buffing than CG Ecosmart.

I use a modified technique: pre-spray my microfiber. Light (very light) spray on my in-between-car washes car. Lightly wipe off dirt. Second, even lighter spray, buffed out just a little firmer with a clean and dry 2nd microfiber (I rotate surfaces often enough to keep the buffing panel dry).

So, two applications but each much lighter than shown in most demo videos; a little can go a long way. The trick is for the first wipe to be very light, and for the application microfiber to be damp with Swift Wipe.

5. I’ve been using TW Ice for my waterless car wash. It works, but Swift Wipe is a LOT less work buffing out (and honestly when I started I thought Ice was really, really easy compared to old liquid waxes).

I really don’t need to overkill by layering up Ice all the time. In fact I’m curious if Swift Wipe will be enough, since during dusty season I hit up the car with a wipe down every day, and sometimes everyday on the hood and front windshield.

I wasn’t impressed with CG Ecosmart, and the pump on the bottle broke about 1/5 of the way down. Swift Wipe is awesome, on the other hand, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed about spray pump durability – but if this pump quits working too, I’ll just buy an accessory bottle (although I like the really fine mist from the stock CG bottle).

Let me start by saying that I dont own a show car or a really nice vehicle. I have just a regular old family SUV that gets daily driven in the rain, snow and sun. With that being said, I do like to take care of my vehicle and keep it clean.

I used to drop the kids off at school, come home and break out my buckets, water hose and give the car a bath in the driveway at least once a week. Then on my off day I would wash my wifes car when I got home.

I have been into detailing since I was a kid but never really looked for new products. I always used just whatever I had. I heard about Optimum no rinse and figured Id give it a shot. Right now I just finished washing both mine and my wifes SUVs in 30 minutes.

Its below freezing outside and I was able to do this in my warm garage with the door closed. Neither vehicle was dirty, just road dust, tire shine etc on the sides. I use 2 gallons of hot water and about a cap of liquid in the bucket with a microfiber wash mitt.

I wash 1-2 panels at a time then dry it off. Works great to keep the cars looking good at all times in all temperatures. If your car isnt that dirty I highly recommend this. Im using 0. 5-1 oz of product per car wash so this bottle will last a long time.

Does it scratch your car? I dont know, its a liquid so the product cant scratch, but dragging dirt across the surface will. I try to lightly run the mitt across the surface and wring it out often. Once again, our cars are 20 years old with almost 300,000 miles on them, so swirl marks arent a big concern for me.

If I had a $100,000 vehicle would I use this? Probably not. But if youre a regular person who likes a clean daily driver this is a quick, fun way to keep it looking good at all times. Follow it up with a spray wax and itll look good enough for most people.

My vehicle is a black 2002 Toyota Sequoia and my wifes is a black 1999 Nissan Pathfinder.

Ive been washing my cars with ONR for some years now. Takes much less time and I dont have to lug out multiple buckets, hose etc. Works great on the interior too because its not oily like dressings and mild so it wont dry out plastics and leather.

Ill use the leftover water to wash the engine bay and wheels with old microfiber towels (or even wipe down the mailbox haha). Ive used the blue onr and the green one with wax and I like both.

This stuff is amazing. The paint keeps getting deeper and more lustrous with each use ! Its so easy to use I wash my car once a week. Shine shine shine! No hose needed. Just a few gallons of water in a bucket and some high quality towels do the trick.

Follow the instructions! Highly recommended!!!!!.

I worked at a truck wash in Arkansas used to be the Southern chine. We 2 stepped trucks there. Before there was an actual 2 step product. The method works very very good. The only thing that I would change about How they’re telling you to apply and remove this product is.

Sprayer degree like he said from bottom to top. Then put your acid on over top of it. but when you rinse it off you still want to go bottom to top so you’re not washing off your chemical. And rinse with low pressure because high pressure blows the soap into cracks and corners that drip out later on, low pressure pressure will rinse better Top 2 bottom When you rinse.

Try it like this and you will probably get a 100%.

I have two black trucks that I do the most damage by washing by hand. So I tried the two step touch less product and it blew my expectations away the trucks have just driven through a blizzard and had salt , sand , and road grime all over them and after watching the how to video they both came spotless !!!! I already ordered more would recommend to anyone!!!.

I Excitedly bought this when it first came out and it instantly became the last Chemical Guys product that I ever bought. It was the moment I realized that none of the Chemical Guys products live up to the stories and promises that appear on the bottles.

This soap did nothing to improve hydrophobics and did nothing that any of the other 11 Chemical Guys soaps I already owned didn’t already do. I’ve since tried a dozen other ceramic soaps and this was by far the worst.

It was the only one that didn’t work. I’ve given away all of my Chemical Guys products and moved on to brands that actually work without all the inflated claims.

I use rinseless washes a lot as I have hard water, a driveway that is in full sun, high temps and very low humidity that dry water on the car instantly, and a cold snowy winter. Or. In one word Colorado.

I have all the popular ones including the very newest one from p&s. They all work well. If you have a sealant or a coating you may not want anything left behind and so you would not use this. But when you want a fast one and done that shines like a show car, this is it.

A gallon of distilled water for rinseless or 15:1 spray dilution for waterless if safe to do so. Simply the best. I use it on the family hauler that is in the mountains every week all year round and it looks like new.

In summer it rains a lot up there and we are often on dirt roads, and then of course winter salt and my personal f@vorite the muddy melt goop in spring. Neighbors ask me what sorcery I get up to In my garage as they see it go in filthy and come out like a show car.

I do use a ryobi 600psi sprayer using two liter soda bottles to get the crud off outside. Or even inside if it is too cold. And then the magic can happen. There is so much talk of other washes one in particular but this and the no wax brilliant shine blue juice version are superb and deserve a much higher online profile.

I frequently wash friends vehicles showing them how to do it and send them home with a couple of ounces to get them started when they see the results and want in.

I used Rinsless Wash and Wax for the first time last week and I am SOLD. I was looking for a winter-time alternative to automatic car washes in our area that have brushes (never going near those) or are touchless and are either derilect, too far away or ineffective.

Rinseless Wash and Wax will be the solution for winter-time washes in my garage. And because I have a heater in the garage, I’ll be able to wash no matter how cold it gets her in Wisconsin (aka The Frozen Tundra).

As recommended in the Griot’s tutorial video, I prepped the wheels and lower body panels with the 15:1 concentration in the spray bottle. Then I washed major sections of the car out of a 5 gal bucket at the standard concentration using a soft boar bristle brush.

Then I dried each section as I went with a Griot’s plush microfiber towel and the results are phenomenal. The car literally sparkles under my garage lights. Thank you Griot’s. I love Rinseless Wash and Wax.

This product is useful in perhaps more situations than would be obvious. For one, probably common, I have a garage that does not have drainage. I can raise my car to remove and clean all four wheels but cannot hose down the wheel wells.

This product is the next best thing for removing dirt under those circumstances. For another, I can spray dirty crevices around the hood, trunk and doors, and then easily remove bits of dirt with a probe or brush.

In both of those instances, this product cleans and leaves a waxed, shiny surface. The price appears daunting, but note that the product is diluted for actual use. The spray mixing bottle is easy to use, both for preparing the solution and for actual use.

Added to Armorall Foamer, Sprayer hooked up to my power washer, really fun to use, coated the car nicely, neighbors even impressed. I run garden hose to inside washer bin so I can use soft water, not quite as good as distilled water, but better than the hard water here in Ohio.

Still need to get a towel, washer glove on the car, especially white cars. , to get some dirt film (white cars). I had previously used Ceramic Wax with Butter Wax top coat. Used it on a black Corolla and it turned white with all the suds, the foam seem to stick to the car before finally sloughing off after my mixture started to get dilute.

Other than a little extra time to hook up hoses, get power washer out of its hide away, will be doing this from now on. Brushless car washes do not get the back side of the car well enough. and of course, never taking any car through a brush car wash.

When I was buying this product, I researched and watched several “how to” videos and that included videos off the Chemical Guys website. Almost all the reviews were positive and all the reviewers spoke complimentary about it.

When I started with my foam cannon (bought from a different manufacturer) I was literally blown away. The result that I got was more intense than what I was expecting. Thick, rich foam that stuck on my SUV and turned my dark blue GMC to completely white.

Maybe my set up brought the result, but this product far exceeded what I expected. I hand scrubbed after the application and the result was really 5 stars. Because I have such a large vehicle, the only suggestion I would have is to not do the whole SUV at once and maybe split it up.

Some of the foam was running off and I had to be careful of it drying before I got to it. That’s a pretty situational criticism that is most likely my fault. I just thought I would pass that along to anyone who has a large truck or SUV.

I received this item Black Magic Intense Ceramic Waterless Car Wash to try and write a review afterwards. On arrival I noticed that it was packaged very well for shipment. I read all the directions first.

I then washed my car first because it was very nasty and didn’t want to damage or scratch my finish. I mostly just got the grit off that would scratch. I then sprayed this Black Magic Intense Ceramic Waterless Car Wash on of about two to three square foot sections and wiped with a microfiber cloth turning as necessary.

I then would use a clean cloth to wipe and dry that area. This would continue until I had finished the whole car. It looked very nice after I finished the wash. One would not believe how much grime that came off with this product even after a prewash of the of the vehicle.

This stuff really works on a dirty vehicle. I can’t say that it’s easier than normal hand washing or going through an automatic car wash but it sure seems to get it much cleaner and ready for a good wax job.

It’s not the easiest but is worth it. This is the reason for only 4 stars. I hope this review helps someone in making a purchase decision.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY. This just doesn’t supply enough foam. I even put in 4 oz. of concentrate, where the instructions state to add only 1 oz. I still got a few foams, but at 4 times the amount directed, it was just not very much.

I put 2 stars since it did provide some foaming, it wasn’t a complete failure. But just don’t waste your money.

I have struggled washing autos for over 50 years. The biggest part of my angst wash which car wash to use to prevent spots and having to chamois the vehicle dry before the hot southern sun did. After buying a totally blacked out pickup truck I broke down and purchased Rain-x Spot Free car wash.

I’m a believer now. After washing my new baby I just sat back with a cold one and let the sun go ahead and dry the truck. VIOLA! No spots! Thanks for making a product that cuts my washing time in half.

It is a little tricky to get the spotless finish. You soap it up, scrub as required, and the tricky part is the rinse. You have to watch to see that all of the bubbles are gone but stop while the rinse is still coming off in a sheet.

If you continue to rinse until you see droplets, it will leave spots.

As a Rep for two pressure washer and chemical companies I have used many foaming and non foaming car washes. While the Chemical Guys Bodywash & Wax produces a reasonable amount of foam I have had more foam from another car wash brand that I used to sell.

That’s not to say it was superior, just that the dwell time of the Bodywash &Wax wasn’t as long. Yes it does a good job and leaves a great shine.

I’ve used turtle wax rinseless car wash several times now and am pleased with the ease of application, it’s cleaning ability and the resulting slick shine. It leaves a mirror like finish on my 2014 Tacoma.

I live in a dusty environment in western colorado. My truck is not garaged. This product does not attract dust. Rain sheets off of the finish for weeks. I will usually coin op car wash a quick spot free rinse to remove any heavy dirt.

Then I use one bucket of 2 gal. water and 4 oz. TW rinseless car wash. I’ve got a 15 pack of microfiber cloths. 7 cloths are folded, soaking in the bucket. I use one soaked cloth per section, wiping one direction in a back and forth straight line.

When it is dirty I put the cloth in another “to be washed” empty bucket, not to be reused. I dry the washed section with one of the other 8 clean dry cloths. and then place them in the “to be washed bucket”.

I usually use 5 cloths to clean the paint and 2 cloths for the tires and wheels. This product does a great job of cleaning and shining the paint. Scrubbing is not necessary except for bugs. You won’t scratch the finish if you use one cloth per section, in a light back and forth motion.

OK to wash glass and plastic trim. Just wipe it off before it dries. I save any unused solution in empty plastic jugs for next time. Since you never put the cloth back into the solution once it touches the car, the solution never gets dirty.

When you wash all the used cloths you don’t even need detergent because they are already soaked with car wash. Thanks to Gary Dean for this method.

I’ve been testing the waters of a rinseless car wash method. The more I practice it the more I’m really liking it so far. Since this was my first time using this methode, i hosed the car down first. I used 4oz of TWRFWW in 4 gls of warm tap water.

I placed 5 or 6 very plush microfiber towels in the solution. Rung out slightly and folded the towel in 1/4. Then gently wiped from the top to the bottom of one panel then refolded the towel so a clean part was showing and moved on the the next panel.

One towel took care of one side of the vehicle. I did the top, trunk & hood/bonnet with the first towel. One towel for each side and one towel each for the front and rear of the car. After each towel was used i set it aside to be washed.

This way I aways had clean solution in my bucket. After the car was done I gave it a final buff with the clean soft polishing microfiber towel. I still have enough clean solution left over to do my next wash.

I think Turtle Wax has a winner with this product. KB in MD.

This stuff works great! Plus, you can wash your car at night in your garage, in cold weather (within reason) in your insulated garage, or during water restrictions. That’s a big chunk of my weekend I just saved.

Use your noggin though. Its not for really really dirty cars. Even there I like it so much that I’ll squirt some plain water on the car at the coin operated carwash to knock the dirt off then go home and do this.

Also, take the time to really measure the water and product–don’t guess. This method called the “Garry Dean” method works even better than the official instructions. You can look it up on youtube: 1.

Get a bunch of microfiber towels at Wal-Mart. The cheapest they have. Honestly, one of the really big bags at Sam’s Club are even better. I’d get at least a dozen. 2. Mix a spray bottle with this stuff at 8X strength.

That means putting two ounces into a pint spray bottle. 3. Get two five gallon plastic buckets. For a car put in two gallons of water (measure!) For a truck put in three. Mix your product according to the label.

Mark the side of the bucket so you can just fill it up to the line in the future. 4. Put a bunch of your microfiber towels in your bucket of hooch and reserve a few. Spritz a panel with your spray bottle.

Toss a soaked towel on and swipe it around lightly. Toss it in the empty bucket as soon as it looks even a little dirty, or when the panel is done. Whichever comes first. Take a wrung out towel and wipe lightly.

Follow with a dry towel. Never return a used towel to the bucket of solution. Put your wrung out towel and even your drying towel in the “to be washed” bucket once in a while too. Repeat until the car is done.

5. Wash and dry the towels by themselves. I run ’em through the washer twice just to be careful. Finally, if you get a lid for your bucket, you can mix this stuff in advance, put your towels in and have it waiting for you in the garage when you are ready to go.

It is VERY safe. I scrutinize my car pretty hard. Not a single scratch of any kind on it after two years.

Bought the 16oz bottle to try out as my Carpro Reset is a bit pricey. This stuff works well for maintenance washes and provides good slickness to the paint. It didn’t leave spots or any residue on my black vehicle.

I think for an actual cleaning shampoo Carpro Reset is better but this one works. Only con to it is that it’s thick and doesn’t mix well in the water bucket so you have to blast it for awhile longer with the pressure washer for it to mix well enough.

Ended up buying a gallon for a good discount.

I cannot believe the other reviews. I don’t usually write things like this. But come on people. Properly dilute. Fully rinse. You will have no issues. The shampoo didn’t leave water marks. The water did.

Shampoo can’t control your lack of common Sense. I’m mobile in hot humid Tampa FL and use it for the simple fact I can let it dry in sun and I’ve NEVER had a single issue. Best product on the market for washing outdoors.

I’m not sure if I should be disappointed or not. Well, I kind of am but not sure if I should be. This stuff smells good and my car comes out very clean, but what I am missing is foam and bubbles. I use the two bucket method instead of a foam cannon.

I put the recommended amount in a bucket and fill with water using a hose and spray nozzle. That produces plenty of bubbles and foam in the bucket but when I take the wash mitt to the car, it’s pretty much just water.

Someone mentioned lubricity in a previous review, and maybe I have plenty of that but virtually no foam or bubbles. Perhaps I purchased the wrong product because the previous shampoo I used (it was pink) resulted in plenty of foam and bubbles on the car itself, rather than just in the bucket.

When I bought my 2020 Tesla Model 3, I was warned not to put it through an automated car wash. So what to do between visits to the detailer? My detailer recommended this product, and it works great. It also does not require a hose for rinsing the vehicle, which is an added plus.

Clean your car without the bucket and hose-as long as it doesn’t need a winter wash. For light to medium car wash needs. It’s quicker, easier, and there’s no water “hide out”. Use this in spray bottle form like the quick detailers or mixed into a bucket of water.

Great for classic cars where throwing water on the car isn’t in its best interest, or use it on your daily driver to keep it looking good.

What a way to clean your car and save water , time and energy! Couldn’t believe it , until I tried it for myself. Great for my mobile car wash biz. I was able to clean a car so quickly with this. Absolutely love it! My customer was surprised when I showed up with 2 gallons of water to clean her car, I put one oz of the ONR in it! All I can say awesome.

Does what it’s supposed to. I’ve only used it with a wash bucket and it suds up very well. I have purchased a Foam Blaster but haven’t had a chance to use it yet. I was a little disappointed in the smell.

After reading reviews, I was expecting a strong pleasant scent. It doesn’t smell bad, just a very light “fake” cherry scent when in the jug. Once it’s in the wash bucket, it doesn’t have a smell. Oh well, still does a good job at cleaning my truck.

This soap removes summer road film and removes bugs. It is very concentrated. As this product is new to us, we are tweaking the soap injector on our pressure washer to achieve the best cleaning/rinsing results.

Great soap and can’t beat the price. Great service with a smile always.
