We love these glutenfree breadcrumbs and they are a good price compared to the grocery store. The problem was the packaging. We ordered a dozen and three of them came cracked and broken in the box. There was no packing material to protect them during shipping.

So, i decided to get a little creative and add about half a can of Great Valve canned potatoes to the mix. Heat the canned potatoes up, and mash with a masher or fork, and add to the Idahoan. I bought two of the small pouches, but now have added two of the bigger boxes of Idahoan taters to my shelves.

Easy peasy! So, they were just fine. I expected more sour cream flavor and a more distinct cheddar. This cheddar tastes a bit artificial and not strong enough. Next time I would stir in more cheese, add sour cream and too with chives.

Tonight I chose Stove Top dressing is full of flavor and easy to make, boil some butter and water, stir in pre seasoned bread crumbs, stir and put a lid on it for five minutes. Fluff up with a fork and it’s ready to eat.

If you want to add a bit more flavor for the holidays I cut up a tiny bit of apple very small, onion very small and some bits of celery, let this boil with the butter and water for just a couple extra minutes then add stovetop and above normal directions.

I liked the fact that these potato flakes had no additives. only dehydrated potatoes flakes. However, when I followed the package directions exactly for mashed potatoes the end product was was very liquid.

not even close to “scoopable”. They were more like slightly thickened gravy. Remember I follow the package directions exactly, allowing the few minutes that were supposed to be needed to form a mashed potato consistency.

Didn’t Happen. so after waiting 6-7 minutes I added another 1/4th cup of he flakes and again waited the appropriate time. They remained too soupy to scoop. I kept adding small amounts of the flakes and waiting again for them to thicken.

Finally they thickened enough to be slightly scoopable. The added flakes also decreased the servings/ bag. At the end of our family dinner most of the potatoes remained in the bowl. So the next day I made a decent tasting cheesy potato soup by adding spices, a few cubed potatoes and cheese.

I’m not exactly sure why ANYONE likes these or how they have almost constant five star reviews. They taste horrible. They turn into silly putty. I think it’s great that there are no additives but I’m not sure what kind of potato they actually dehydrate.

Tasty aside from chewy gristly bacon pieces. PAY ATTENTION TO THE SERVING SIZES listed on the back. It says 1/2 cup per serving, approx. 3. 5 servings in package. Nooooot a chance. In any case, it’s a fun side dish to have.

It’s rich and fattening and that’s what makes it taste good, so I serve it alongside lots of steamed broccoli and a piece of lean beef. Again, I add a little cranberry sauce to round out the meal.

The loaded potato bake is great. Big enough as a side for two or enough for a really hungry single. Great as a hangover cure. The hidden all star is the Parmesan and cheddar cheese sauce in it. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

As a Bridgeport native I can’t stay away from gifting this every year. Goes great with potatoes. I love seasoning my Spanish tortilla (frittata) potatoes with this seasoning. The crisp underbelly of the frittata brings out the seasoning’s sensational taste.

For the first time, I’m disappointed in a Spice House seasoning. I found this to be a very bland spice. With the combination of ingredients I had great expectations, I just don’t understand why it’s as bland as it is.

I even added more and it didn’t make a difference.

I am vegetarian so needless to say, I eat A LOT of potatoes – and always love any way to spice things up so I bought this seasoning. It’s delicious (beyond just on potatoes). slightly cheesy with just good, well-rounded flavor without being overwhelmingly cheese-dominated.
