Most hand tools are now made in China unless you spend literally 20x’s more for SnapXx’s. Let’s get past that point, it’s not a reason to give a lower review. If you don’t like China products complain to your Representatives and stop voting for the Left.

Review: Case is ok for a plastic case. Yes the allen keys do not lock in place and the 1/4″ driver adapter socket is a pain to get out but the case works and handles the weight of the tools just fine.

As for the sockets and wrenches. I’ve been using them for over 6 months (bought this last holiday season). I find them very accurate in sizing, comfortable in my hands and good for any project. I was a Level B Union Mechanic for a decade in the 90’s, had all SnapXx, and those were great but NOT what the average person needs.

This set of Gearwrench are accurate, like I said. The feel is very good, nice chrome, does not hurt your hands on tight nuts/bolts. Those are the facts that really matter with hand tools, accuracy and comfort , and this set excels in both.

Bonus: , I can read the sizes easily as well.

These snips are anything you could want in a tool. They feel great in your hand, with nicely molded handles. The weight is perfect too, you can tell they are made of high quality metal. I got these to replace an older, generic pair of snips and it is a difference of night and day.

I used them to install a tin ceiling, including circular holes for pot lights. They are definitely sharp and easy to use. The spring has a great response as well.

I was looking for a set of Precision sized screwdrivers to use on a laptop that I needed to replace a laptop hard drive with and this set worked perfectly. They are compact and sturdy. I have added it to my computer repair kit bag, and they work great.

I needed a small Phillips screwdriver to change the battery in the key fob remote for my Honda. This set has 2 sizes of Phillips– the smaller one was perfect! I’m sure that I will find uses for the flat head and larger Phillips now that I have them.

My son was always borrowing my identical set so I got him one of his own for Christmas. He looked truly excited to receive it, and he has been using it already. The online price was cheaper than the marked price at the store.

Mentioned it to the clerk and she gave me the cheaper price.

My park cable cutters are older but great shape. This makes a nice crimped end on cables. I absolutely despise when they come off. This tool secures the end cap perfectly There are more functions to it but this is my main purpose for me.

These pliers pliers are useful for cutting and holding as well as reaching into small areas where cables are unreachable with fingers.

These pliers have a crimp for cable ends, but else they don’t have anything that would make them better than any other set of pliers. Furthermore, the quality on these isn’t as good as on Knipex pliers, which you can get for cheaper.

Great quality thread die for go Kart axles. I received this Die in a package without brand markings, so I was worried I had been sold a chinese knock off. I looked closely at the die itself and thankfully, it had Hanson markings on it.

I checked the die for which side faced the threads (it wasn’t clearly marked) and put some thread cutting oil on the threads of the axle. The die would only go on about 1/4 turn since my axle threads were so messed up, and I used a pipe wrench on the die to start turning it on.

As a general rule, you rotate the die 1 turn, then back it off 1. 2 turn, as this will clear the chips and relieve stress on the die. I did this 16 times, since the threads were an inch long and the die is 3/4-16 die.

Once completed, I cleaned the chips off the axle and the die, and the nylock nut spun onto the axle threads with no effort at all-Success! I did the same to the other side and it worked beautifully. Excellent product, works well.

I had a front wheel lug that had apparently been cross threaded or damaged and the lug nut would not seat properly. The tire store told me they tried a different lug nut with same results so thought it was the wheel lug.

Rather than break it they handed it to me and told me to get it replaced as soon as possible. My choices were to either drive out the old, and replace, or try to clean up existing lug. Since it was intact length wise, and did not look that bad decided to try to clean it up with the M12X1.

5 Die. I started it by hand, until resistance, than used a 1 inch socket to insert it to the base touching the rotor. I did this 6 or 7 times, wiped off the lug, then hand threaded the lug nut by hand all the way.

It seems as if the threads on the lug were cleaned up enough. Now I have the die if any other lugs need treatement.

I used this great tool for my mountail bike and just bought one for my Granite 4×4 BLX rc to keep in my tool bag in my automobile’s trunk for quick fix on site. Sturdy as all heck, all the size hex drivers in one kit that I need for my rc, and the handle makes unloosening stubborn hex screws easy with a great grip from this tool.

I have a lighter weight set and some hex sets in my garage and some multi tools that are uncomfortable or fiddly to use. For this purchase I just wanted a simple, vfm, well-made, comfortable and easy to use hex set that I could keep accessible as my go-to set for last minute pre-ride adjustments, adjusting cleats and odd-jobs requiring a hex.

This exceeded my expectations; hence 5 stars.

Classic home bike Allen key tool all in one handy package. Better trail side tools are available but for adjustment and maintenance at home this is probably one the best options.

I could not get crossmember holes to line up with frame on car and someone on a blog suggested these. I had bolt in within minutes. I did try a screwdriver but it did not work. Probably a one time used one but definitely worth it.

It’s a simple design that could be great with a little extra effort in the manufacturing. The metal is too soft, I’m not sure if the metal is just a cheap mild steel or if the heat treatment isn’t perfected.

Also the heel is too thick, I had to grind it down on the smallest one to make it useable. The largest one has a wicked curve in it because it is just too soft.

I’d like to see Pittsburg make a pry bar with a more defined tip to be able to pry/ wedge the tool between things easier. Just to get a better grip/ leverage !

I gave it 5 stars because it has a wide cross sections of tools all nice and neatly packed in one convenient compact set. It is inexpensive and I really like that when you head to a job and not quit sure what you might need this kit will probably have it.

One of the first jobs was a main computer on a commercial hot water boiler. I needed a very small screwdriver for some wire connections. This has a 5 piece precision screwdriver set. One con is that there is a spot for everything to be held securely in place during normal transportation which is a pro & a con.

No place to add additional items like a small set of Metric Allen Wrenches (Hex Key Set) to compliment the standard SAE set supplied. I purchased a second tool set for my own personal use at home. Good buy hands down.

First off, I love this kit. I do a fair amount of moving and small mechanical work and it has just about everything you would ever need in the box. That being said. The first thing to break was the box.

Inexpensive plastic. I was told the box is not a tool and is not covered. Wonderful. So mine is held together with a $1 store ratchet strap around it one way to hold it together and a bungee cord around it the other way to keep the drawers from falling out.

The handles have cracked off of most of the drawers. Next off, early on I cracked one of the screwdrivers and the folks at my local store first went out and got a driver (and truthfully probably a better one) from another set of drivers, but the geometry was different and it did not fit in the opening in the box.

I thought they were going to cry but they reluctantly opened up another set and gave me a replacement driver that fit. The next thing to fail were the vice grips, I twisted them up pretty good. This time when I went to get them replaced they told me the tool kits were not covered as the tools were not one of the brands with the name etched into them.

I had the box with me so it was pretty certain that the vice grips came from that set. Normally HF is very good about the lifetime warranty on tools, but this was a very notable exception to that rule.

I would give the kit a 5 star rating in a heartbeat if they replaced the stuff that chewed up in it, but they seem very reluctant to break into another kit to fix something in a broken one, and sadly, the tools in the kit are not of the same quality as the tools the sell as one off’s and most of the on off tools will not fit in the case.

Having tools that do not fit in the case kind of defeats the idea of having the nice case that has everything you need in it. So, before I would plunk $$ down on one of these, I would ask at your local store what the policy is and if you are going to have a hard time getting replacements for stuff.

I am very glad that I purchased this little toolbox. I keep it in the cars I drive along with other necessary equipment to either change a tire, or repair a leak, or change a belt. It was an excellent bargain when purchased it on sale.

Remember: you get what you pay for so they’re not the best of tools but they work when needed. I found setting up the drawers where the heavy tools are on the bottom, makes it very easy to carry for me.

I’m somewhat disabled and not long ago it was too heavy for me. Now I use it all the time when working on one of the cars, so, in the end, it was an excellent buy. 4 stars for the tool set but -1 for questionably cheap tools (ratchet durability?).

Fixed by purchasing a higher quality ratchet but.

This is exactly what I needed. A 0.0005 inch feeler gauge. I used it to nod my Mill. I cut it into 3.5 inch length and used the individual pieces to nod my Mini Mill. It worked great.

It is long enough to make three out of the one, for my purposes. The only downfall is the package it was sent in, paper sleeve and mine was crimped on one end.

Not the best if you plan to travel with this or keep it in a vehicle, such as a boat or truck. Also, the latches are plastic and can be a pain to open. However, that gripe is relatively minor, all things considered.

It DOES knock off a point, but otherwise, this is a good set to fill out your existing tool case or to get you started.

This set of tools is a DIY lady’s dream! It’s got so many well made tools that I’ll be able to tackle a lot of jobs that I come across around my apartment and in many of my art projects. The only things I see missing that I use a lot are a hammer and a mallet.

Not to worry though since I have a few of them both. Whether changing a shower head, assembling a digital piano, putting together a shelving unit or other furniture, making some some adjustments on my power wheelchair, you name it, I can do it with these tools.

Since I’m crazy in love with this tool set, I will not tell any of my tool borrowing friends that I have it nor will I leave it out where they can catch a glimpse of it. The last thing I need them to do is to start borrowing any of these! I did copy the link to the page to buy these tools and sent it to all those tool moochers letting them know I found the perfect set for them! Let them borrow the crappy cheap tools in my beat up old tool box! These ones are all MINE! BTW don’t tell them the cool power drill I own is mine; they think I’m borrowing it.

When they do borrow tools you never when or if you’ll see them again. Yep. This tool set is so wonderful you won’t want anyone to know you have it either! Didn’t like sharing my toys as a kid and I don’t like sharing them now either! Buy it! It’s our little secret.

I received this wrench a few weeks ago. Used it on bolts for light poles and substation towers. It gripped the nuts and bolts very well with a nice tight fit. The wrench feels balanced in your hand. Tried it with a cheater bar and did not feel like it would break.

The satin finish also made it not as slick in your hand. Let a friend borrow it to wrench on some diesel rigs and tractors. He liked it as well for his line of work.

Received this item for review. Pricing the item online it appears to be a fairly priced item. The wrench is made of good quality material and has performed flawlessly. The contour and shape of the wrench fits and functions as needed.

Can’t find anything to complain about with this tool. Would be a great choice to add to anyones tool set who is needing this tool. Fair price good quality, what else do you need.

I received this recently and have to say it is a really nice wrench. I do like the satin finish compared to my smooth and shiny wrenches by Crescent which I already owned. What can I say, it’s a wrench and does the job it’s intended to do.

However I like how solid it is and it feels good in my hands. Solid and seems indestructible.

It’s a large size Allen Wrench! Proportionately equal to a standard size Allen Wrench, just of a bit bigger stature (12mm). As noted in the description, the long end measures just under five inches and the short end is about an inch and a half.

It doesn’t seem quite as finely machined as a more expensive one, but it fits the bolts I wanted to use it on just fine, and I really appreciate the lesser cost for my occasional use. I’m sure you can’t apply the same torque that you could with a “T” handled or socket & ratchet model, but again, for my application I get all the torque necessary.

I have no reservations at all recommending this to others.

I appreciate the fact that you sell individual hex wrenches. Most companies sell them only as sets.

Recently tried this mini pliers set out and overall I am impressed with them, first and foremost these mini pliers are very well designed, they’re super sturdy and they really fit good in the hands. I found these pliers to work really well with even smaller projects and for good use in tight spaces.

They have a nice comfortable grip at the ends which makes using them that much easier. Theyre hasslefree and they definitely will get the job done! Would highly recommend.

The real star of this set are the Flat Nose Pliers, more commonly known as “Duckbill Pliers”. Most other plier sets tend to leave this one out. These Flat Nose Pliers are flat, have a very fine surface texture, and will come in handy with so many projects when you need to make things straight or flat.

Honestly, the Flat Nose Pliers alone are worth the cost of this entire set. The Long Nose Pliers are good too and you’ll probably end up using this one the most for bending, twisting, and holding. The Bent Nose Pliers are just as good as the Long Nose Pliers and you probably won’t use them much but they’ll come in handy when you do need them.

The Diagonal Pliers are sharp and work very well. They’ll allow you to cut tie wraps / zip ties without leaving an extremely sharp edge. The End Cutting Pliers or “Nipper Pliers” work well but I really haven’t found a good use for them.

I’ll typically use the Diagonal Pliers instead. The Groove Joint Pliers are an added bonus if you don’t already own a larger pair. They’re small enough to be handy and big enough to do some major damage, so be careful! Overall all the pliers, except the Groove Joint Pliers, utilize small springs to keep them in an open and ready for action position.

They all feature comfortable handles that fit your hand just right. They’re not the tiny handles that you’ll find on jewelry making pliers. Being 6’2″, they fit my large hands very well and are a pleasure to work with.

All the pliers are well made and line up well when closed. If you’re a small scale tinkerer or work on electronics, then this is the set for you!.

a light straightedge, I find it excellent for marking plasterboard and plywood sheets, a clamp at each end and its great for running the electric saw along. I am quite happy with it.
