20 Best Toners For Large Pores (2023 Updated)

This product is somewhat to mostly effective regarding clearing out and reducing pore size. It is reasonably priced but has a significant cost or drawback: it has ruined a set of towels because it causes sever discoloration.

I use this product in the morning after the shower with my hair in a towel and away from my face but somehow it gets on my hands and/or other areas of my body and it has ruined a bath towel and hand towel.

I wasn’t sure so I spot tested it on the towel in question since it was already ruined and it is definitely this product. You have to be very careful with application and make sure it is completely dry before using textiles such as towels and/or putting on clothing.

It will cause very noticeable discoloration. Too bad as I have 1. 5 bottles of this stuff and I don’t think I will continue to use it.

I’ve been using for a few months now. I’m pretty minimalist with my routine. I use a simple wash and moisturizer with nothing special in it. I exfoliate once a week and use bp 2x a week. Follow up with sunscreen of course.

My purpose for this toner was light hydration and antioxidants for my combo skin. There wasn’t a dramatic difference but it’s contributed to my overall skin health. I have acne prone skin and eczema.

Since using this toner my breakouts have been very minimal and I haven’t had an eczema flair up. So while it doesn’t cure I’ve definitely noticed my skin looks very healthy. I don’t want to try a lot of new products so I’m glad I found one that is simple, effective, and doesn’t break the bank.

Skin type: combination (oily/dehydrated/dull/acne prone) Only used for 2 days but already notice radiant complexion and glowy skin, no more blackheads, shrunken pores, acne scarring fading & scabs drying & falling off.

Prefer to use at night to prevent sun damage & apply niacinimide (the ordinary) straight after since it works great with salicylic acid & reduces dry skin after toning. This warns a tingling feeling but I’ve no experience with tingling or allergic reaction unlike other strong salicylic acid products that sting my skin.

If I continue to see results I may increase to twice a day but I’m starting slow which is recommended. This is the first toner I’ve ever experienced that actually benefits my skin instead of doing nothing by just “removing excess dirt”.

The application is unique as it can only let out little product at a time which prevents wasting it like most toner bottles. I’ve given 4 stars as it is expensive however that is expected for scientific formula containing no alcohol, no fragrance, no oil, no sulfates.

But better than the price range for expensive brands like paulas choice for sure. However the bottle is glass which is beneficial for the environment incase this is a concern for eco warriors.

This product has been an absolute godsend! Because it is an exfoliant, it has helped my skin purge all its impurities and gives me such a lovely glow. I appreciate how it does not contain alcohol. I use it once every other day, since I have sensitive skin, and I can tell that it makes a difference.

My makeup application has gone on smoother since this product has taken care of skin/product buildup on my face. I have combination skin, and I find that it doesn’t dry out the parts of my skin that tends to be dryer than my t-zone.

Would definitely recommend for those trying to incorporate a step in their skincare routine that will help achieve a glow and a smoother complexion. I am a gallery owner, and I always try to look my best, and this product has definitely gotten me some compliments on how bright and healthy my complexion looks.

Omg love this toner! No it doesn’t get rid of my pores because, well, nothing does. But! It smells amazing and gets my skin so nice and clean. It’s cool, too, because it’s a pretty bluish/green color with white on the bottom.

Before you use it, you shake it all up to mix everything up. It’s all milky and stuff until the morning when all the white stuff settles again haha. I thought it was a cool feature. I usually get my IT Cosmetics products when they’re on sale, so when I got this, I only paid $17 as opposed to $34.

They’re expensive haha but honestly, they have the best products! Highly recommend this toner! You get such a good amount, and it doesn’t dry my skin out despite it having denatured alcohol in it. Honestly, I’d buy it again just because of how good it smells haha.

I use this after I double cleanse and then I use my e. l. f. hydrating water essence right after the toner, followed up by my BareMinerals night cream. My night combo has been working nicely, and I can honestly say for the first time in my life that my pores are truly clear! I know this because now I have little tiny holes in my face 😂 better than black heads or pimples though!.

Biossance Squalane + BHA Pore-Minimizing Toner 4. 0 oz/ 120 mL I really like the Biossance Toner. but I really really wanted to love it. It is a really nice product, my only issue with it is that it can feel a little tacky/sticky.

especially if you use too much. I figured out it’s not too tacky if you pat it on your skin with a cotton pad/ cotton ball instead of sweeping it across your skin. Once it dries and I put on my serums and moisturizer the stickiness goes away, so it’s not a huge deal but wanted to be honest and let other people know about it in my review.

If it wasn’t for that issue I have with it, I would have given 5☆. Other than that, it’s a great toner! It’s alcohol free, hydrating, really gentle, no strong fragrance, clean and it contains raw White Willowbark which is a natural BHA that gently exfoliates, minimizes pores, smooths texture and help with inflammation.

This toner has definitely helped with pores. It comes in a beautiful dark green glass bottle with a gold cap. the actual toner is a light green color. I’m assuming because of the Squalane. This is an all-around great toner, I would definitely repurchase it and recommend it!.

To be honest – not a huge toner kind of gal. its hard to notice a difference in my opinion (unless its SK-II). My friend highly recommended this to me however, and as I do trust their opinions, I gave this a try.

Well, hello, Biossance! Im not a stranger to the line, but to this particular product in the lineup I am. This really turned my head after giving it a test drive. I get oily in certain areas around my nose and forehead, but the rest of my face tends towards dry and sensitive.

I used to think I needed a slightly stronger cleanser in the summers, but I think thats not the case; I think using something like this only on my oily areas will be much more overall effective. I cant stand my face feeling taut or squeaky clean, especially with aging concerns.

I dont really have a pore problem, but they do tend to be more noticeable in my oily areas; swiping this across those areas definitely left them feeling cleaned and under control. I love the scent, I love the bottle, and the brand! All in all, highly and surprisingly impressed.

Glad to add this to my routine – just in time for summer. 5 stars!.

I don’t know why Biossance feels the need to indulge in this “pore minimizing” business with their Squalane + BHA Pore-minimizing Toner. I don’t see any pore tightening at all from this product and I’ve got some pores large enough to drive a big rig into.

But if I ignore that part of their claims, I do like the effects I get from this toner. The willow bark is a gentle beta hydroxy acid that could help reduce acne. Squalane is a great hydrator. This toner keeps my skin feeling clean and lightly hydrated.

I shake it into my palms, then gently press it into my skin. If you’re going out into the sun afterwards, use a sunscreen after toner due to the BHA in this. I think this gentle, non-drying formula is good for those who are on the dryer side of skin types, but who still want to add some anti-acne products into their skincare regimen.

This isn’t going to take the place of Paula’s Choice liquid 2% BHA for me, but I use it when I want something more gentle and low key.

Honestly, I never thought I’d switch because I’m a tried and true fan of my (now) old brand. I’ve enjoyed switching to this toner from my usual! Most important to me when choosing personal care products are ingredients and environmental impact.

I make special effort to find products that aren’t tested on animals as well, which is highly important to me. Bliss has very clearly done their research and spent time obtaining clean, natural ingredients that have little negative impact on the environment when produced and used as a final product.

I’ve been using this toner daily, morning and night, for about a month. I have very stubborn blackheads that have forever been a source of embarrassment and shame for me. The only *other* thing I’ve ever experienced that made them disappear was swimming in salt water during tropical beach vacations, which isn’t an option where I live year round.

Well. Since switching I’ve *finally* seen a notable difference in my skin’s appearance! The blackheads are starting to become smaller and smaller, and I do find my skin to feel better moisturized and smoother.

The Bliss Disappearing Act Toner is a great product! I’ve had this product for a little over a month and I was able to use it all but a week during this time period. I used this toner once a day, at night after showering, and my skin has been so thankful for this product.

My skin looks much better than it had before adding this to my daily regimen. My skin texture has improved and looks visibly smoother. The toner has also surprisingly helped my melasma, which is amazing because it made me very self conscious.

When I look closely at my skin, my pores are MUCH smoother! Prior to using this product my nose had larger pores with blackheads and at this point the majority of my nose is clear and my pores are significantly less visible! I feel like the other area I had very visible pores were in the middle of my forehead.

They also are much less visible! My skin has also felt super smooth since using this toner. I started using this product two weeks postpartum and I noticed that when I started using this product my face has become much less oily and my skin is clearer! I like that the ingredients in this product are clean and are cruelty-free and vegan.

Toners I have used in the past have had harsh ingredients which really irritated my skin, but the Bliss Disappearing Act Toner has been super soothing and also has a light fragrance which I really appreciate! I love this toner. It smells so good almost like Christmas time with a hint of cinnamon which I love because sometimes with medical grade skin care products they don’t always smell the best. This product is very affordable I love the packaging and have sleek and easy to use it is.

I’ve noticed a difference in my skin when I use this toner. I can tell that my skin is absorbing the products I apply after the toner so much better than when I wasn’t using a toner at all. I typically shake about 2 quarters (for size reference) worth into the palm of my hand and gently pat it into my skin.

Let that dry for a few seconds and then I proceed with applying any serum‘s and creams and finally finished with my moisturizer. I feel like using this toner helps my skin to better absorb all of the benefits of the additional products that I use.

I received a sample size of this nutrient toner by PCA skin in one of the January (?) monthly beauty bags. I’ve used it for two days , it seems to be semi-hydrating but I need more time to see if it does anything for my skin.

I love to see what ingredients are in a product and I noticed the ingredients on the sample are very different than the ingredients on the Skin Stores website. No problems so far… let’s just curious in case I decide on purchasing I’d like to know which version of ingredients I will receive.

I will try to include images if they allow. Love the Skin Store and am assuming that’s it’s just older samples being given out since there’s a new formulation. Not sure if responses are allowed but I’d love to know Before I make the purchase.

I am of the belief that toners are not a necessary part of your skincare routine, especially if you’re cleansing adequately and following that up with an effective regimen. But, personally, there are days when I just feel like I want to take another pass over my skin with something, and that’s when I reach for this.

The formulation is totally unique and unlike anything else on the market. Yes, it smells like pumpkin, which some may not enjoy. I’ve been enjoying this during the humid summer on my oily skin, but come fall and winter, it will likely be too much.

Still, I recommend it.

Love to use this. …u should try this It’s cheap and easy to find in drugstores (or online, I bought mine from Amazon). This is a fantastic alternative for a simple toner that does not irritate my sensitive skin like the others I’ve tried.

It has a faint fragrance that reminds me of baby lotion, which I don’t mind because it’s refreshing. It has a strong aroma coming out of the jar, but it immediately fades after applied. It absorbs quickly, and I haven’t noticed or felt any drying of my skin.

This toner has the consistency of water, is transparent and thin, and applies to the face simply using a cotton pad or reusable face round. It’s alcohol-free, so it won’t strip your skin of its natural oils or cause irritation.

I’ve found the Tena brand to offer the most protection and comfort as far as incontinence products go. When I first began my search for disposable underwear it was chaotic. So many other brands didn’t live up to their claims of absorption or comfort.

The same goes for pads. My trial and error period was disheartening. When you are dealing with a chronic condition that contributes to incontinence, the last thing you want to endure is the failure of a product and additional embarrassment.

I will continue to purchase the Tena brand as long as the quality is there.

It took me a while to get to write a review on this. I’ve been using it for quite a while now, as I got it soon after it launched. I’ve gone through different phases with this product. I’ve had situations when I’ve loved it and I’ve kinda disliked it, but my overall conclusion is that I love it.

It is light, yet thicker than most toners, and you could probably get away with only wearing this on your skin in certain situations. What I don’t like about it is that sometimes it gives me the feeling of an uneven, kind of sticky texture.

However, it does have a lot of nice products in it, it’s good under make up, it has niacinamide, and the packaging is big. It feels better than many other products with niacinamide. I’ve found that it works well on my body.

I’ve been using it when my skin is slightly irritated by rubbing or after shaving. I’ve found a positive effect on my body and it actually feels softer there than on the face. For some reason it also helps if my skin is itchy.

I would buy this even just to use on my body. It isn’t drying at all – my skin is quite dry and it doesn’t dry me out. I haven’t seen the pore-refining effect but I don’t really struggle with my pores most of the time anyway.

I got it because it seemed like a unique formulation and I really wanted to try it. I just like it. You just gotta make sure to keep the upper part of the bottle clean, as the product touches its surface as it comes out.

I actually didn’t end up getting the one I wanted, but got a gift set with these products in. 💕My reservations with fenty skin range is that the products are perfumed, which I always worry about from a sensitive skin perspective, thankfully so far I’ve been fine with using these.

Took me a few days to get used to this, having been very lazy at toning most of my life, but I have to say I am very happy with how my skin has responded to this.

It’s not sticky as I thought it would be and after a few minutes of applying to the skin, I can feel a fresh, smooth feeling. The bottle is also really cool, took me a few attempts before I figured out you don’t have to take the lid off completely, you can just twist it and the product comes out in little drops from a tiny hole in the lid.

💖 Fenty Skin Instant Reset Overnight Recovery Gel-Cream. Out of the 3 products, this is the one I almost threw in to a drawer of unused products, thankfully I decided to try it and I actually really love it.

It’s a night cream that helps restore skin overnight. My skin feels so hydrated in the morning. 💖 Pro Kiss’r luscious lip balm. I’ve posted a review on this previously, however it deserves another shout out.

Love this lip balm, it’s seriously moisturising and feels so lovely on my lips. 💕Overall I highly recommend giving the Fentys Skin range a go, but if you are sensitive to perfumed products perhaps try and get hold of samples to test first.

I love this toner, it was a real game changer for my skincare routine. I love that it doesn’t strip my skin of moisture that other toners have in the past. It’s nice to not have the feeling like my skin is cracking the way it does in the ground of the desert.

I’m really love that I’m not allergic to this like I would most other things. My aesthetician picked this out after checking for my 40+ allergies so for this product to have avoided them & works well is what keeps me buying.

Their really should be more companies that carry gluten free or corn free etc. since so many people are getting diagnosed with all kinds of allergies all the time. I know this works for me cause my aesthetician is kind enough to find remedies to suit my needs but I would love it if more companies labeled their products gluten free or make sure it’s clear in the ingredients.

I always use toners like misting water because my skin gets very oily, and I need something that can be used multiple times a day to wipe the oil off and refresh without irritating me. Some work well for that, but don’t offer much else, but this toner is great for both.

I can use it 2-3 times a day with no irritation, it smells like cucumber melon, but does not linger, and it does brighten the skin with regular use. Usually, I buy a different toner every time in order to try new products and am not loyal to any particular one, but could see myself repurchasing this in the future.

It has more benefits to it than just cleansing your face of dirt.

It’s beyond light weight. My skin drinks this up!!! I get a beautiful glow from using this. I can’t wait to try other hydro peptide products! This is the holy grail. I’ve never had a dull skin day since I’ve started using this! My skin looks amazing and my post inflammatory hyperpigmentation has lightened dramatically!.

I really like this toner. I’ve tried a lot of products to help my pores and they either didn’t work or really dried out and irritated my skin. This is the only product I have used that has noticeably reduced the size of my pores while not drying out my skin.

I use this with a vitamin C serum and moisturizer as well so it is likely a combination of the products but it definitely seems to be doing the job. It’s also relatively cheap. It took about two weeks of applying twice a day for me to see a difference but my skin looks and feels significantly different and healthier now.

I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for an effective skincare product for low cost!.

Really Really wanted to love this but just not sold as yet. Have been using it day and night for about two weeks and I’m just not seeing any difference yet. Perhaps in another month or so. At the moment not loving it.

Has quite a strange smell but happy to keep using if it actually does the job. Will keep trying but so far not impressed. Tatchas toner is much much better but made me break out. If you don’t have oily and sensitive skin go for that one.

It worked wonders for pores and shine but unfortunately couldn’t continue.

This is a great toner for even after cleansing with good cleanser there is still dirt/stuff to remove. I have large pores on my T-Zone and continually hunt for something that will either reduce pore size and/or kill the fat “sticks” that populate the pores.

Sadly medical science says you cant shrink your pores (ive found that to be true) and it also doesn’t make any impact on the endless production of these fat “sticks” – a pore strip does the trick at about 75% success.

I will continue to use it as it does cleanse so well.

The 2nd and 3rd ingredients in the Bioré Witch Hazel Pore Clarifying Toner are Denatured Alcohol and Isopropyl Alcohol, so that is something to be aware of. I have only used this product 5 times because I’ve been alternating with another toner, and because I haven’t decided whether I’m going to continue using it.

Just now I’m running a bit of an experiment to make this determination. I used the Bioré toner several hours ago, followed by NOT applying any of my usual skincare. My T-zone feels “dewy” without even touching it, just in the air.

(My face runs oily-normal all seasons of the year. ) Later tonight I will do the same with a different toner to compare how my skin is responding between the products. The aim? To discover, if possible, whether my skin is actually producing more oil (in response to the drying alcohols) than it does when using alcohol-free toner.

Less? The same? I will update with my results. I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s so much of my experience with skin cleansing products of the time normalized high levels of alcohol in my mind. To some extent, that early learning still tells me that the lack of alcohol burn/tingle is indicative of a product NOT working, which I then have to override with knowledge.

I used to use Neutrogenas acne cleanser which didn’t prevent any breakouts or random pimples. When I’m telling you ever since I started using this cleanser I haven’t had a single breakout since I’m not joking! This cleanser really does give your skin a cooling sensation like it says in the bottle which I love.

I’m on my fourth bottle already, Everytime I run out I instantly go buy another one! I usually use this cleanser after removing my makeuo, than i follow up with Dickinsons witch hazel toner with a few drops of tea tree oil, I apply a serum, and moisturizer and my skin absolutely loves this product.

I love witch hazel toner products and have been using them for years. This Biore one is great. I use it after cleansing and it’s simple to use, just just put a little on a cotton pad and wipe across my entire face.

I can see the dirt that cleansing missed on the pad so I love that it’s giving me a super clean. It unclogs my pores and leaves my skin fresh and clear and prevents breakouts. It has a pleasant scent and is not too drying, though I recommend following up with a good moisturiser which is what I do.

The witch hazel is really soothing and helps stop any redness and I have sensitive skin and have never had a problem with this product irritating it. I would recommend this for a really fresh clean and to minimise and clean pores.

I have just about tried everything out there for my skin. I went to the dermatologist and got advice and products for my acne prone skin. Some of them were harsh, even though they worked, and I needed something that would help bring my skin back to life and prevent it from feeling so dry.

I also needed some type of astringent to treat my face, other than just washing it. I don’t like to buy really expensive stuff for my skin. I’ve seen a number of reviews saying this product was drying. I don’t see how it could possibly be drying. This is a water based toner. The third ingredient is squalane, a shelf-stable hydrocarbon derived from squalene, which is a naturally occurring skin moisturizing agent and protector.

The product also contains emulsifiers, stabilizers, one of which can help combat fungal acne, and three different oils. Squalane penetrates into the skin, and doesn’t leave heavy residue, which may make someone believe it was not providing moisture.

Many moisturizing products I find tend to leave a heavy film that seems like it would be moisturizing my skin, but is actually just a thick layer that isn’t providing benefit beyond serving as an emollient.

Products like this one should be used under more emollient moisturizers, but still provide important care to deeper levels of the skin that are not provided by heavier products. I always bust this out when my skin is feeling dry or is irritated. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed, soothed, soft, and smooth after each use. I would recommend for those who have combination and dry skin, but would avoid this toner if you have oily skin.

I am IN LOVE with this milky toner!! My face is so sensitive to products & I was nervous about trying this. In just 3 days I could see a difference! The scent is light & my skin feels so moisturized when I use it! I don’t use a cotton pad.

Instead, after cleansing my face I pour a dime sized amount into the palm of my hand & spead it all over my face. It doesn’t irritate ANYTHING. Not even the eye area! 2 months ago I decided to add the Ultra Cleanser & Moisturizer.

I’m not kidding when I say people have asked me if I’ve had resurfacing done. My fine lines have diminished SO much & my skin glows! I will never use another brand again. This is THE holy grail!.

I feel that this works brilliantly with the Hot Cloth Cleanser and Balancing Skin Concentrate. Although the shrinking effect on my pores was only temporary (this is true for all astringent toners no matter the spiel), they did seem less congested, and there was a light fresh sensation on my face after applying this.

It can feel a little warm and tingly at first, but that’s most likely down to the ingredients getting to work, and the Pore Minimizing Tonic is otherwise quite gentle, whilst at the same time doing a great job keeping spots and blackheads at bay.

It’s not terrible, my skin felt soft straight after use but I found my breakouts to be more frequent and my skin not feeling as good as it should/has after other toners. It feels almost like paying for water mixed with a drop of alcohol.

Sorry to say but I wouldn’t recommend which is a shame as I had high hopes!.
