20 Best Tomatoes For Eating Raw (2023 Updated)

Everwilde is my absolute favorite now for seeds of any kind. Packaging is BRILLIANT. I love all the info, photographs and the waterproof, sealable packaging. Add to that the quality heirloom seeds, and I won’t shop anywhere else unless I have to.

As for the Floridale tomato: germination rate has been high, all my starts sprouted quickly. We will have to see how they produce in the Piedmont area of South Carolina before I can review the crop! I have no reason to believe they won’t be perfect!.

I started seeds indoors on 3. 19. 21 and it is now 4. 2. 21 and out of a 12 pack with three seeds in each only two seeds have sprouted! They are grown in a sunny bay window with grow lights and heating pads.

I have started tumbler tomato seeds in the same area under the same conditions and they already have been moved to a larger pot! I was really hoping these would work out for me! Will try re-seeding a new batch in hopes for a better result but disappointed so far!.

The plants grew big in my fall setup and when it cooled down they did set tomatoes but that was in late September or early October. They should have set in late summer temps since they were developed in Florida for the temps and rain issues we have on the gulf coast.

The weather was messed up with cool temps till mid June and avg 92 till mid October and then cold end of October. We run around in shorts almost to last of December here but had a freeze in October. My fall tomato plants were over 3.

5 feet tall by end of August so it wasn’t late planting. I feel the seeds are the issue since I had issues with other seeds from this seed supplier. So you get what you paid for cause I had paid more for other seeds and those tomatoes did ok.

Smell, texture, and tomato flavor are good. Better than most other sun dried tomatoes tried. Value of the #5 package makes my local sources more than over priced. Local sun-dried are domestic sourced and processed products.

These are from Turkey. Maybe the price for USA tomatoes and processing? The only negative is the degree of saltiness for my palate. Maybe 5 Stars if processed without sea salt.

When making my family a big pot of homemade chili, my go to tomato products are RED GOLD! From diced tomatoes to tomato paste they all taste GREAT! I have tried other products in the past and nothing can compare to the fresh taste of RED GOLD! I grew up in Elwood and moved to Anderson and now Daleville in the last 30 years, but nothing can beat the flavor and taste of all the RED GOLD products! I sometimes shop in a little Harvest Market in Middletown, Indiana close to my home.

Price-wise they sometimes go on special at (2022) 65p in which case it’s a no-brainer. Even at 80p they are still good value considering how much better they taste.

Got this on offer and I must say it really does make a difference using organic tomatoes, not only is it healthier but tastes so much better! used in my lasagna and it tasted lovely no bitter after taste that some cheaper brands have.

Bought this on the understanding that item does not contain citric acid. Got my tins out to make spaghetti sauce and, shock, horrror, these do contain citric acid. Am asking for a refund as trying to avoid products with citric acid.

Started from seed 8 weeks prior to transplant. Germinated quickly and grew as quickly. 6 weeks out from transplant and the yield looks to be amazing. At least 50 tomatoes on one plant with more clusters of flowers forming.

Already over 6. 5 ft tall. First clusters to form are now starting to turn. Will definitely buy and grow again.

We planted the seeds and they sprouted in under 10 days. I’m just 2 weeks our plants are 3 feet tall. We are so pleased that we now have a great place to get our seeds every year.

I grew Everwilde’s Big Rainbow tomato in my garden during the 2020 season. It has earned a permanent place in my garden. The tomatoes are huge and extremely flavorful. The texture is perfect. As an indeterminate tomato, you’ll either need to get a heavy duty cage or prune these heavily, but they’re absolutely worth it for the delightful fruit.

i have been buying these boxed tomatoes for years. in the beginning they were sourced from a texas grower and actually grown in texas. i live in south texas just saying. the tomatoes were very very good most of the time.

then the same texas grower started marking them as coming from mexico. not the same quality but better than other local stores. last week the same texas grower marked them as coming from canada. that is an awful long way for tomato to travel and they taste as if they were picked when totally green and never really ripen before going bad.

these tomatoes have gone from being a 9. 7 down to a 0 on a 1-10 scale. i will not be buying any more sams tomatoes until they are able to get grown in texas tomatoes. i feel like a lot of my money has been wasted on poor and mediocre quality tomatoes.

Good tomatoes are hard to find in Florida. especially compared to the ones I’ve had in Michigan off the farm! Apprehensive at first, I purchased 4 pounds of tomatoes, knowing I live alone and might not use them all.

I used them all! After a week, left at room temperature, they were still sweet, firm and tasty! No soft or spoiled spots! Do not refrigerate! As long as this quality exists, I will be having these tomatoes on my menu!.

These tomatoes on the vine are delicious. We’ve bought them 4 times because they’re so good. They stay fresh for over a week in the refrigerator while still attached to their vines. I had stopped buying tomatoes because they had become very bland and would spoil so fast.

I just happened to buy some for a halloween carnival event we were having for our grandchildren instead of letting them go out to do trick-or-treating during this pandemic. We made hamburgers at home and playing carnival games in the back yard.

Only tomato I buy in off season. The taste is closer to garden fresh than any other tomato. They stay fresh longer than other tomatoes. I have converted many friends to these as their preferred tomato.

We absolutely love, love, love Campari tomatoes, but these were quite overripe. Getting fresh fruit is a crap shoot with curbside pickup. My parent and I each live alone, and couldn’t eat them all before they rotted.

These are so sweet and juicy. They are great to have in your fridge to add to any meal or salad. They are very affordable so I buy them all the time. I definitely recommend you try these in recipes they have a very bright burst of rich deliciousness.

I recently went to the 99 cent store for a quick grocery run when I came across the Kaliroy brand grape tomatoes 🍅 the quality was great and comes with a good amount that can last for a few weeks ! For the price of $3 I recommend.

These tomatoes are so delicious, the size is perfect for snacks or to add them to your salad. Our office provide them as snacks and I rather eat these than any other snacks. I buy them for home also.

These are the best tomatoes for snacking, cooking – whatever you want to do. I’ll grab a handful if I’m on the run, but I can also throw them in a pan with some chicken and they make the dish have a little extra pop of flavor and color! Plus – they’re healthy!!!.

I love tomatoes. The only ones I don’t particularly enjoy are Roma Tomatoes: they just don’t have much taste for me. But cherry tomatoes? THE best! It’s like packing all the flavor of a large beefsteak tomato into a concentrated small flavor bomb.

That’s why these were so disappointing. They tasted like a larger tomato below average on the flavor scale. They were okay but not at all noteworthy. As I ate a handful of them it occurred to me that I have never had such a bland cherry tomato.

If this was my first try at them, I would not buy them again. Yes, I realize this isn’t the time of year for sun ripened tomatoes, but even so I have always had tastier cherry tomatoes than these regardless of the season.

(Can be from a greenhouse or other countries. ) I don’t really know what to tell you, but these just weren’t up to par. I hope they were just the the 1 odd carton, but I doubt it because things are rarely that simple.

loved the taste and sweet er for years. last year i bought once and they were awful. tasted and smelled of mold. tried this year and sane spoiled taste and smell. sams either changed brands or produce distributors.

sam’s can not blame covid when they knowing sell garbage. their carrots and potatoes are culls. they should also be arrested for trafficking little baby avocados. they should stay with their mothers longer.

Non-GMO Certified Fresh: When you buy them just rinse & eat them; don’t forget about them or say your not in the mood to eat them. Letting them just sit there for a week or more & then cry they are not fresh is your bad not the grape tomatoes Love them on the go, great for snacking.

Great for you heart & eyes even better for your mouth & tummy especially mozzarella or Daniele Old World Salame Trio Pack (our favorite is the peppered one) I toss them in salads, pasta, pizza Caprese Skewers, Caprese Pops, could also add to that some uncured sliced meat (prosciutto, salami, real black forest ham).

The Best tomatoes I’ve ever purchased wish could find more of there items, i had one can of Tomato Soup from them and now there gone, what a shame way better than any other brand

As gardener I never buy store bought tomatoes, but these are the closest to that home grown flavor sold at retail that I’ve yet encountered. The color variety is fun, interesting, and they have to be healthy because of those flavonoid color variations as well.

Skins are just right in my opinion. Thick enough so they don’t get mushed in transport but chew well. I store mine in a vac sealed container in the fridge so none go to waste. I had packed a small glass container of these little gems for lunch yesterday and wanted more, so today I doubled that serving and ate every last one! Slice em’ in half, dip in a bit of salt.

Perfect! GREAT tomatoes!.

I don’t know if my club just isn’t rotating their produce, or if this is an issue with the tomatoes, but the past two times I’ve bought these, I’ve been very dissatisfied. The previous batch I bought had molded in the middle, ruining the batch, at least for me, so I threw them out.

This last batch I bought, I flipped it over several times to ensure no mold, but when I got them home and opened the package, the tomatoes were old and going bad. Produce and meats are really the only reason I have a membership now that there are no clubs on my drive home from work.

Not sure I’ll even renew this year since I can get bad produce anywhere.

My family loves these tomatoes just as a snack, on a salad or cut in half and put on tacos. They are colorful and sweet. I like to make little toothpick appetizers with a tomato, mozzarella pearl, and a kalamata olive and then put them in a little bowl with olive oil and Italian seasonings *chef’s kiss*.

I’m not too particular about many things, but these crushed tomatoes were really the worst. SO acidic, but flavorless and nothing we did made it taste any better. We even added a whole can of tomato paste to finally make it palatable.

It was a substitute for my regular choice, but next time I’ll have to pass.

We use crushed tomatoes in many of our meals and Furmano’s Crushed Tomatoes does not disappoint. The Furmano company is actually located in the same state I’m from and i really do love local companies.

I think my biggest thumbs up is that the tomatoes are FRESH and that’s hard to get when something comes from a can. I recommend trying these for one of your meals. You can easily put them over macaroni and cheese or plain buttered noodles.

They also have crushed tomatoes with garlic which adds a nice flavor.

We make many meals using some type of tomatoes and Furmano’s is the only brand I buy. It has a great flavor, but uses far less salt than other brands. It also doesn’t have the bitter back taste most canned tomatoes do.
