I gave this teapot as a birthday gift to family. Nowhere in description does it say loose tea only. So of course I bought a ton of teabags and coffee pods to go with it and neither can be used. This description needs more detail.

It is well made, no defects. It has been quite handy in steeping tea for small service ( I bought a 6l tea kettle for heating water). It sits on the warmer with no warping. It is not too heavy and is very cute in design with a pleasant color.

Perhaps my gas-fired “wood stove” does not get hot enough but, while the kettle looks really smart sitting on top of it, I’m afraid it doesn’t throw off much steam. It does work a bit better if you keep the water level below the inside opening of the spout which makes sense–the water heats up inside and the steam comes out of the spout.
If the water is up to the inside opening, only that much area is available to produce steam. So, if you have a much hotter stove it might work OK as a smaller humidifier, otherwise just get it for its ornamental value.

I don’t normally do reviews, but here’s one; Pro’s – good full 2 cup capacity. Excellent wide, easy to hold handle, big enough for the fattest fingers. Con’s – the button on the lid is too round, meaning that you can’t get your fingers under it to lift it off.
The brim of the teapot is rounded and not flat resulting in the lid not fitting properly and sliding forward when you pour. it cannot sit flat due to the curve. The tip of the spout is lower than the brim meaning that if you fill the pot to the brim, the tea flows out of the spout and leaves a puddle, without any pouring taking place.
And the hole through the spout is really small meaning that you have to pour really slowly (or the lid falls off). That’s really shoddy design in my opinion. Shame, because I spent ages looking for a replacement for my old two cup and thought this looked the part.
We bought this 1 / 2 cup teapot as we have changed to loose leaf tea & needed another teapot. It arrived beautifully packaged and very quickly, we were very pleased. But Im disappointed as the lid is wobbly when pouring and it slides forward feeling like its going to a fall into the mug and the spout is narrow.

I was looking for something to heat the water in. I can’t put it on the stove because it’s plastic. I can take out the infuser, but there’s a metal screw. I can’t put it in the microwave. Maybe I can find a tiny screw driver to remove that tiny screw.
Great little pot but has some defects. I’ve had this less than a week and the little screw holsing in the handle is already starting to rust. Also, when washing, water gets between the outer plastic and the glass and will not dry out.

I put in 4 teaspoons of loose tea and it works perfect. The tea basket is very nice without a lot of crevices to catch the tea leaves. For the frugal minded – put the basket in a cup and refrigerate and use them the next day.
This is an absolutely perfect tea brewer. I’m not a hot tea drinker, but I can increase the amount of tea in the basked and make a base for iced tea. I’ve made pomegranate tea so far and am looking forward to trying the Twinings Orange Bliss and Warm Spice teas.

The bottom of the tea pot first leaked when we made tea and then completely came off. It looks like it was just glued to the body of the teapot. We were lucky that no one had a chance to drink the tea with the dissolved adhesive or got scalded by boiling water.
There is obviously no quality control in place. Companies like this should not be in business.
It looks like the picture, but the ceramic material is so light weight that the entire tea pot;( lid, base, body, handle) are way too hot to touch. I’m a tea lover and I’ve never encountered this problem before.

Product arrived in overall good condition. It was a little dusty, but I wiped it off and it was as good as new. Good size china pot for prepping and serving multiple cups of tea. I was able to immediately put it to good use.
Poor quality tea pot, The clear glaze was not even looks sloppy and dripping. the round lid has a ding and not even make round, the outer circle looks crooked. Pouring was OK, has small drip when finished.
