20 Best T Top Boat Cover (2023 Updated)

This cover is sufficient weight but its set up to be flat across a hull. This presents the problem of allowing water to collect. Water being heavy will eventually cause a tear in the fabric. To avoid this on a t-top I strung rope from the trip to the bow life rail.

It could also go to the winch if you have no life rail. Once the cover was on I pulled the rope tight raising the center line of the cover so water could not collect on the cover. I did the same for the rear section of the cover except I had to make a frame to keep the rope about a foot high and the very back of the boat.

I tied the rope to that and pulled it tight to raise the rear centerline of the cover to prevent water collecting same as the front. Once everything is tight and in place There should be no problem with water collection.

Check it during the first good rain and make any small adjustments as necessary.

Great cover for price. However you must place supports other than one included to holdup during heavy rains. This my second cover due to my neglect to add supports

Put this cover on my boat within ten minutes after receiving it. It took about another ten to get it in place. It fit my 18′ CC like it was custom made for it. The only issue I had was that the zipper seems to be sewn in upside down? Instructions say to start closing the zipper starting at top and working your way down 12″ at a time while fitting cover to boat.

My zipper starts at bottom? It seems pretty heavy duty for the money? Time will tell, but impressed so far!.

It was a near perfect fit. The specifications should include a speed limit. At 70 MPH, it took roughly 120 miles to shred the rear of the cover. The rear quarter of the cover was flapping in the wind for the second half of the trip.

I stopped when I saw the flapping, but there was no roadside magic to reattach the tatters of the cover. I managed to secure what was left of it and there was no turning back. By the time I reached my destination, the bow portion had torn open as well, and had peeled back about a foot.

Did I mention it was raining through most of the trip? I gave it a second star only because it sure looked great after I installed it. It doesn’t look great now. Waste of money for me.

I really like how this product fits and is secured with sufficient straps. I built a pvc rack inside my boat to help shed rainwater and debris from the cover. The cover seems to be of a good quality material and I am very happy with it.

DNF – Does Not Fit! I have a 1988 Alumacraft Lunker V16 LTD in it’s completely stock, tiller configuration (a very standard 16-ft v-hull fishing boat. ) I bought an A-sized Stellex cover for a 14-ft to 16-ft v-hull fishing boat.

Seems logical. Trouble is I need another 12-in to 18-in MORE cover to fit over the length my boat. While I do have a bow-mounted trolling motor on this boat, I have it mounted to a removable slide plate and so, I did not have it attached when attempting to fit this Stellex cover.

I tried cheating the stern corners forward a bit but that did not help as I ran out of elastic within the cover’s edge seam to even get close to covering the bow point of my boat. PROS: + Seemed like a nice boat cover for the money.

+ Fabric appeared to be tough enough to handle trailering at highway speed. + The strap system appeared to be workable and secure. + There was plenty of width to the cover. CONS: + Made for a 16-ft boat but does not fit a 16-ft boat.

+ The cover does not include the outboard (included as part of the main boat cover nor separately). + Even though the boat covered in the picture on the boat cover box appears to have “reinforcing” black nylon straps stitched across the outside of the cover, along the width of the cover, in 3 different locations (front 3rd, middle and rear 3rd); this cover does NOT include enough strap (length) to reach around the girth of my boat and the trailer nor are these 3 straps stitched to the cover.

While there was nothing on the outside of the boat cover box (besides the picture) that stated this, there was no description at all. This is borderline false advertisement. I am going to return this A-sized cover tomorrow.

First, I will attempt to exchange it for a C-sized cover (for 16-ft to 18. 5-ft “pro-style” bass boats). My hope is that this C-sized cover will NOT fit like a plastic grocery store bag over a bicycle seat.

Too bad I can’t return my time spent messing around with this incorrectly-sized cover. Cheers, _rs.

This (Model D) is a good fit for my vintage 1959 Glasspar 16 foot outboard cruiser with cabin. Ample fit to cover entire boat and motor, cabin and windshield and still have plenty of overhang to partially cover sides below gunnels.

Good retaining strap system is included. Material seems sturdy, time will tell. I previously went through 2 identical covers but made of gray 600 denier canvas by a different mfg. Same fit and each lasted 2-3 years in brutal southwestern sun exposure.

Those became NLA so I was glad to find the same pattern on Blain’s Farm and Fleet. Prices had increased as all things do but glad to find.

This seems like a decent cover. Fit was good. Liked the straps. Made my own supports for running water off. I’ll know alot more after this winter. Took our time putting cover on and securing. We moved or covered sharp edges.

(No cover will make it thru that). I bet it’s ok. Would be happy to review then. That would be a much better analysis.

Good cover, good materials, and decent fit on a 16′ boat, but not great. Should have at least one more strap on the rear corners, each side. I had to use after market tarp clamps and my own straps. Elastic cord around the bottom is OK but a ratchet style rope tightener would be much better.

That’s what I had on my last cover of the same brand. Seams are taped and stitched and appear to be water tight but I’ll know for certain shortly. If I were to do it again, I’d look for a cover with the ratchet tightener and a longer model to cover my bow mount trolling motor better and still reach the stern.

I have owned many boats with covers from other companies and the Budge cover is far superior than all the others, even the more expansive ones. The material used is extremely heavy duty and fits the boat perfectly.

It handles the wind with ease. High quality, great value. I would recommend this boat cover to any boat owner. It will be the last cover you ever buy.

I have a grady white 22wa with a custom hard top. The budge cover that I ordered fits perfectly and my boat is dry on the inside even in a heavy rain storm. Heavy duty materials and high quality.

If you are paying $1000 or more for a boat cover then you are probably on a first name basis with strippers, wear clothes with designer’s/other men’s names plastered across them, and have weekly discussions with your urologist/endocrinologist.

This cover fits quite nicely on my 16 foot lund. Although I would by the 18 foot next time, so it would cover the motors on back. Great quality fabric, heavy and very waterproof. I like it. The snap buckle straps are great.

It’s a pretty good boat cover for the price. I wouldn’t use it over the winter and expect it to excell in the snow but for the other 3 seasons, it seems to do pretty good at shedding water and protecting from the sun.

I live at high elevation so the sun’s UV rays are pretty brutal on covers but I expect to get at least a couple years out of it before it starts to fail. Small price to pay to protect the boat interior from the sun and rain.

Cover fits my 14ft aluminum boat perfectly! Did not rate it 5 stars for one reason. The strapping worked great in all places except the 3rd strap back from the front were too short to work with my trailer and boat.

I had to take the strap off my old cover to make it functional. If this would have been a first purchase I would have had to return the cover. My trailer has a single support running almost to the axel area where it then flares out.

The cover instructions tell you to run the strap to the frame then back to the cover and snap it in. Strap is to short to work with this type of trailer. However by using my old strap I was able to make it work and I am very pleased with this cover!.

Bought this cover for my Lowe L1232 jon boat as I was getting tired of hassling with a tarp that took alot of work to secure to the boat. The extra size gives me room for my pedestal seats which also provide a rain relief so I don’t get any ponding.

It’s sturdy and has decent attachment points, although it would have been nice to have four more, but with a little creative securing, seems to work out well. Most of my fishing is local so probably won’t travel with cover attached, but as I said, with time spent on attaching securely, it should weather the ride.

I have bought other classic accessories products in the past and very satisfied with them for the money and durability and would recommend them highly.

This cover is good for it’s price and will do the job with a few extra additions. There are a few problems with the 12′ to 14′ model that I bought. It does not fit my standard 12′ Jon boat well and had to be modified for a snug fit.

It needs more of the web tiedown straps to keep the fabric taught and prevent sagging. I had to build a frame to hold the fabric up for rainwater drainage, The first time it rained water collected and collapsed the cover.

It fits. It works. Decent quality for the price. Easy to install. I recommend the adjustable bungee cords (The ones with the notches cut in them to make them shorter by moving the hooks) instead of using the paracord type cordage that came with it.

Seems like a high quality cover. Have had it in use for about a month. I have a 9. 5 foot Del Mar. The cover they sent seems very large for 9-10 ft. I keep the boat on my dock. It flaps a lot in the wind because there is a lot of extra material.

Very high quality material does protect the boat.

I was torn between purchasing a semi-custom cover for my inflatable. This one was half the price and my expectations of the quality would be marginal. I was pleased when I opened the box and installed it on the boat.

It was a bit big but better big than to small. I live in Texas and the summer sun and heat is intense. Nothing last forever here. The ordering process was very smooth ( my first online purchase from Walmart ).

The product arrive exactly when they promised and the process worked flawlessly. I’ve sense ordered other product on line.

I’m using this cover on a 6.5’ wooden pram dinghy. It just barely fits, but wouldn’t fit a 7’. I Like the materials. Price Is fair but could be better.

It’s bigger than yellowfin 100 kayak but it cover it completely. It serves its purpose of protecting the kayak.

This cover fit my 12’ kayak perfectly. The zipper is solid and the additional straps make it easy to install.

Shipping was quick from Blaines Farm and Fleet. We live in FL and are storing our Kayaks outside. We have had some water intrusion but we were able to drain it quickly. They are easy to use and fit our 10 foot angler kayaks well.

Better quality overall so the manufacturer has simply incorporated design with function. The old-style grey fabric covers last less than three years if your boat is stored out-of-doors and in the sun.

The UV rays make that fabric rip in an instant after the second season. These new-blue covers appear to be really waterproof and are sized to fit! And that’s not a trait that some of the others can claim.

I allowed for the steering wheel when I did my measurements and as a result the cover is larger than I need. I should have ordered the small size instead if medium.

Fit my 2006 Boston Whaler 18 foot Dauntless console great. Nice color and quality seems good.

The cover is tough, and appears to be water-proof. My only issue is that I used the website to order the correct size cover for my 19. 2 ft Crownline. I was shipped a cover that could easily cover a 23ft + boat.

The good news is that I installed an aftermarket tower on the boat, and the cover fits over that tower when It is up so the rain will be directed off the boat better. I suggest when ordering, to triple check the dimensions on the cover as compared to what the website suggests for your specific boat.

I bought the cheaper cover being I have a roof over my boat lift. I don’t know how the more expensive one looks. But this one is very well made

Needed a storage cover for my trailered RHIB, so after an extensive search, I settled with Classic Accessories. Only issue is – the center console of my 16 ft Zodiac Yachtline 480 DL is a bit aft of the boat cover’s center – which has extra reinforcement.

But, considering it’s not a custom cover, overall I’m very impressed by the value, quality and fit. Highly recommended.

This fit perfect with a lot of room for front mount trolling motor. Well made. Heavy material. Great price. This has plenty of extra room for motor, rails etc.

I thought my last cover was good. This one is great. Better quality and straps built in in nice. I have oak tress 20 feet from it. Couldn’t live without one. Spend the money for a great one like this.

Cover was easy to install. It covered my counsel, seats and electronics. The cover protects well against wind, rain and the prying eye. Zipper has straps at each end to relieve stress. The front of the cover was a little short for the seat bump out.

But this can be worked out. This cover was installed on a Tidewater 19-6 with a hard T-top.

Just put on 2 weeks ago. Material appears high quality. Good for protecting and hiding all console switches and electronics from the weather, the heavy pollen season, and curious eyes!

I wasn’t sure how this would fit, but the cover protects the front seat, console (all instruments) and bench seat. What a bargin to get three items covered with one product

This cover is perfect for a 14 foot semi v fishing boat. It fits very nice with room to spare for the engine. Make a small cover support stand/pole for in the middle to take up slack and allow water to run off made of 1 inch pvc pipe and run rope from pole top to all 4 corners of the boat to support and take up slack in the cover.

Support and rope costs about 5 bucks and it is about as perfect as you can get. Nylon straps that are sewn in are great and ad strength to the cover. Just use bungee cords on the attached D rings to make it much easier.

Not sure on the towing with the cover on but if you secured it well I am sure it would be just fine. The only thing I would say negative about this cover is that it could be a bit thicker to prevent tearing or getting a hole in it.

Just make sure you have no sharp edges and you will be very happy with this purchase.

The advertisement did not reflect the actual style of the cover. The picture shown was different from the the actual cover and would not fit my boat. Mainly, the ad showed a picture of a boat with a windshield, and the style drawing on the box showed a boat without one.

It would not be wide enough to cover sufficiently. Needs better size information so you can determine your needs before ordering. The material appeared to be very lightweight and it was doubtful that it would last very long.

Product was returned after examination.

This cover replaces a similar cover destroyed two years ago during a 150 mile drive. While it says trailerable, I think that means just for short trip. I would not take the cover on the highway more than a few miles max.

The main problem is that the width of the cover is not great enough to cover the full height of the windshield on my Grady White 192. This allows it to take on too much air. I will use it to keep the boat clean during storage only.

Product seems to fit just fine. Only reason for the three stars is box did not have everything in it as advertised. It was missing the support pole and some of the clips for the tie downs. Dont know if this was a fault of the manufacturer or West Marine.

I called and was basically told. sorry you are out of luck. Taylor Made was not much help either.

The covers fits my 1999 Chapparal 1930 SS real well. Got it just in time for the first real rain of the fall season and so far so good. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is I want to see how this holds up through the winter.

The TV cover was reasonably priced and works fine to keep rain off of the tv but the cover is baggy and droops off of the TV. I purchased the cover for a 43 LED tv so I thought it would fit snug like the one pictured.

It does not fit snug. For $20 I cant complain.

Fit my 32″TV like a glove. Protects the TV from dust, and moisture. Very satisfied for the price paid.

Works as it should to keep the desert heat from ruining my tv on my screened in patio.

My cover is less than 2 years old and has ripped in two places. The first rip happened at the trolling motor blade. This is not surprising because the fit is very tight around the trolling motor, and the cover is not reinforced where the blade hits the cover.

The second rip happened at the top of the console where the cover is reinforced.

Arriva in una bella custodia con zip. Molto bene anche la soluzione di un elastico incluso in tutto il bordo esterno del telo e che gli permette di adattarsi all’imbarcazione prima di procedere al fissaggio definitivo con il cordino fornito.

I gancetti di fissaggio cuciti al telo sono in numero pi che sufficiente, sono in plastica di qualit e non danneggiano l’imbarcazione per sfregamento.

As the title suggests this is my second cover from Rooster. The last one was bought about 5 years ago. The bad news first, my old cover was still in one piece although some of the straps had frayed and snapped but the main issue was trying to get the cover onto the boat which became more and more difficult to put on the boat.

It was as though in the last 12 months the cover had shrunk and I would have thought polyester is unlikely to do this. At a guess the UV had got to the material and degraded it to a point it became less flexible.

You may ask why buy another. Besides the problems in its later life the cover had been excellent in keeping the boat dry as it sits in the boat park all year round. The fit around the boat is excellent with the elastic cordage holding the cover snug on the boat and easy to put on, again up until the last year for the previous cover.

My pico sits out on trailer all year in the wilds of western Ireland. Boat is 16 years old and still a great yellow! I have kept it covered and gone through 3 covers so far. This is the 4th and be far the best made.

Three straps and deep skirt with strong thick material. Looks like a great buy. Winter will tell….

This came vacuum packed and needed a lot of pulling into shape, but the quality of the material rapidly became apparent and things got better. There is a strong elastic grommet which automatically pulls the cover snug over the boat and is then reinforced by 3 good under-hull straps.

The bow painter bracket is served by a velcro sealed patch which should keep out all but the very worst driving rain. I have 3 spars on brackets under the cover and there’s plenty of room. I’m very happy with this cover – absolute quality.
