20 Best Socks For Wide Feet (2023 Updated)

First time buying these socks in Black, but I have bought multiple pairs in white for my father. They are really nice, non-binding, and stretch as far as the description states. My fathers a big man whose feet and legs swell during the day and these are wonderful.

My husband likes these socks. They fit well and are very comfortable on his feet. However after a few weeks the tops of the socks stretched out of shape. The calf style no longer stay up on his legs.

Very disappointed expected better quality for the price. Never had the tops of socks stretch out like these have.

It is very difficult to find large socks, especially for size 16. These are the perfect fit and they are not too tight. I recommend if you have anyone that has any swelling as well because it isn’t too tight from the top so it won’t be uncomfortable.

Will be purchasing more! Wish they had prints and colors as well!.

The grip is not as ‘gentle’ as I would like and does not compare to the cheaper Sock Shop ‘honeycomb top’ socks that I already have. I expected the more expensive socks to have the same relaxed top, but am disappointed with the mark they leave on my skin, which my reflexologist suggests is not a good thing.

If they are too close a grip on my slim ankles I cannot imagine how they would be suitable for diabetics. A pity. I bought several pairs. The feet are great, but not the tops! I bought some to give to a niece who has similar requirements to mine.

Not sure she will find them helpful, like me. Sorry I am not a happier purchaser.

Gentle on my ankles, no swelling due to tight elastic, lovely soft socks, do not cause any discomfort on toes, no nasty seams to contend with, have been wearing these for years, but 1st time bought on line.

Not cheap but my uncle loves them. Compression socks made his below the knees swelling much worse. These are over the calf socks and are the opposite and very wide. His swelling is down now by 97 percent.

He can sit all day and walk in them with no problems. Will buy him some more of these but they are not cheap.

My wife is diabetic, has lymphedema and charcot foot, so it is almost impossible to find socks that will fit her feet and calves. These are super stretchy but stay up firmly and are excellent quality made.

We buy these socks often because they are better than anything else we have found.

WOW fast!!! First let me say I’m a 100% Gold Toe fan. My first pair was a gift in 1969 when I was a ballroom dance teacher – they stayed up!!! ( and still do) I bought a dozen on a special that included monograms (would LOVE to see that again) and I STILL have two pair left and wear on special occasions.

I’ve tried others over the past 54 years but nothing stacks up. I’ve gotten almost 8 years out of some Duluth socks but with my Gold Toes every ten years I donate 10 pair and keep 2 out if the last dozen – just to see how long they’ll go.

It’s hard to tell what decade I’m wearing, these socks are that good. It’s in my will to be buried in the Monogrammed pair from 1969. Normally, I wouldn’t write “durable” in a review of something I’d just purchased— how could I know how durable it was, a week or two after buying it? This time, it’s easy to write. I have pairs of these that have lasted half a dozen years or more, and are only now beginning to wear thin at heel and toe.

There are others, yet older, that are worn out, and have been stuck in the far back corner of my sock drawer. I didn’t want to toss them until I (finally) got around to buying new, which for some reason I kept putting off until now.

The socks are comfortable, soft (although not exactly “fluffy”— they’re socks, not kittens!), and long-lasting, keeping both their shape and color. They come up to mid calf, and in a variety of colors, although I tend to buy just the brown and gray socks, making matching them easier.

Recommended.

Either Gold Toe people are color blind or illiterate. I ordered 10 packs of black Fluffies. Half the packs were labeled Black and half were labeled Brown. Well, they are all actually Blue. And none of these are really “fluffy” soft like they used to be.

They are stiff and lack the soft, stretchy feel that used to make them easy to put on. These are a struggle to put on. Unless you want to be disappointed, don’t buy these. They are not like the old Fluffies.

When I acquired my first set of these, I was not pleased. I put them in the washer and dryer as per the instructions, but they came out about half the size of what they were; they looked like little girls socks.

I could stretch them out to get them on, but then they felt too binding. So I called OrhtoFeet, and the Rep recommended that I not put them thru the dryer, but instead line dry them. In addition, she sent a replacement set of socks.

When I washed those socks, I didn’t put them in the dryer and that worked great; they completely retained their shape and size. Should the care instructions perhaps be modified? Regardless, the fabric of these socks is so soft.

And they stay in place without any compression or binding. I have sensitive feet with some neuropathy, and I actually look forward to wearing these socks unlike the many I’ve tried over many years. Oh, and I’ve since ordered 3 more packs of 3 so I now have 12 pairs.

If OrthoFeet would please add a navy blue color to the choices, I would definitely increase my stock to 15 !.

Socks seem to be well made and durable. I ordered the largest size and they seem to be a little shorter than what I would expect. Comparing these bamboo socks with other brands of wool blend socks. The Orthofeet socks seem to consistently run about one inch shorter in length than the other brands.

People with sensitive feet can not tolerate the pressure to the ends of the toes from socks that are not long enough. My feet sweat a lot so socks that will wick away the moisture from my feet is important to me.

Wool blend sock are the best but these Bamboo socks run a very close second to them. Orthofeet Bamboo blend socks are very soft, stretchable and comfortable. They have held up to several washing with no problems so far.

I have been wearing them on occasion for over one year now.

These socks are wonderfully soft and warm. The extra room doesn’t scrunch my toes together like most of my socks do. Having Raynauds Symdrome my feet are always cold. These socks instantly warm ‘em up.

They are cute & subtle gray enough when I wear my clogs too. Worth the price. They wash & dry without too much shrinking. Love them!.

I bought these for my brain injured brother. He is not a large man, but since his motorcycle accident regular socks are always so tight and extremely uncomfortable for him. I have bought him many types that were supposed to be loose, like for diabetics, etc.

and he was never happy. I bought a 3 pack of these to try them and he absolutely LOVES them. I am going to buy several more packs for him today. I will be a lifelong customer (for my brother), I am sure!.

Up until a year or so ago, these socks were amazing. Something changed though and these are terrible. I have bought numerous amounts of these from all different stores and online and they are all the diminished quality where they are a rough, tight feel instead of the soft, wide fit that they used to be.

Don’t waste your money.

These socks are not like the ones we loved. They are made of a “harder” mix of materials and are not as stretchy at the tops. GO BACK TO THE WAY THEY USED TO BE MADE, please. Not sure I will buy again.

Clerks in store helped me look over all in stock socks and agreed the “old” style socks in stock were softer and stretchier. Even though these socks have the same codes, etc. , they are different in a negative way.

I gave two people (one was my wife) alpaca warrior socks for Christmas this year; both recipients said these were the best socks they ever owned, especially to gold-top terry lined socks. The customer service was top notch; one pair I ordered wasn’t available in the size I needed, but we were able to switch to another style and those turned out just as great.

Well worth the price and not overly thick like most traditional wool socks, yet still as warm and breathable. I’ll be back for more.

I’m a disabled veteran with diabetic neuropathy who recently discovered Warrior Alpaca Socks. I recently ordered the Outoor Terry Lined Alpaca socks to wear with my new winter boots. I wear a size 8M boot and your Medium size was perfect.

I hate to take the socks off in the evening cause they make my feet feel so much better when wearing them!! I have even wore them to bed at night and not woken up with over heated feet!! Even your regular crew socks feel great.

My Grandson got a pair of alpaca socks and a little alpaca figure last year for Christmas and this year he asked (yes! ASKED) for more socks. Who does that? He won’t wear any other socks and these are some of his favorites.

Best diabetic socks for nerve pain I am type 1 diabetic woman, and was searching for socks that are not tight since I have to wear them 24/7. Because of nerve pain/sensitivity in my feet, I have tried every brand I could afford.

The only ones that worked for me are no longer available, and my socks were literally rags. Most socks are very stretchy, but that causes the toe area to end up being too tight because they are made for 2-4 various sizes.

I tried these socks for men so that they would run larger, and was amazed at the softness, and comfort. but the size I first ordered stretched again too tightly in the toes. So I ordered again. this time a seemingly much bigger size.

I received them, and am sooooo grateful and thankful to have found THE PERFECT socks. Loose all over, but stay in place. highly comfortable. and such a great quality and price. Being excited over socks is funny, except that I have suffered so much nerve pain for a long time.

One less thing to deal with with a disease feels almost like a miracle❣.

Finally! A Diabetic sock that fits AND isn’t knee high!! Gonna gush a bit here. I LOVE these socks. I have gone through so many different drug store, super store and brand name socks and not one of them did I feel comfortable in.

Either they were knee high and made my feet hot because of how thick they were, or they were labelled as my size (m 13) but didn’t fit comfortably. I pretty much gave up on socks and went barefoot and as you know, most Doctors are not going to be on board with you running around with bare feet with Diabetes.

Then I saw these and thought, “Alright. Let’s see if these are any good” They are. They fit beautifully. They don’t bind. They don’t squeeze my toes. They aren’t as thick as two pairs of work socks. I can wear them with shorts and not feel 80 yrs old.

6 pairs for this price is a pretty sweet deal and I will definitely order more. So should you. Absolute five star product.

I have been dealing with very painful neuropathy. My feet, legs and ankles have been very swollen. I can not put on tight compression socks. I needed something that would help control my swelling and the pain I was dealing with.

I bought a size larger than I would usually wear. I figured if I could not put the socks on, they would definitely not work. I was apprehensive but was so pleased when I was able to put both socks on my feet.

The relief I felt was immediate. The pain has been reduced considerably. I wear the socks pretty much around the clock. I am going to buy a pair of the taller crew socks. The ones I have are very comfortable.

I recommend these socks to anyone who has a variety of foot problems. They have made a big difference in my life.

As a few reviews have noted, there seems to be different version of this same sock out there. I have the #39123 version of the sock received in 12/21. The socks seem to be decently made, comfortable (except see below) and lasting pretty well so far.

The one major issue is there is a very thick/hard seam in the toe area. It makes the socks pretty much unwearable due to it rubbing against the toes and is extremely uncomfortable. I can kind of “get by”/ live with it with no shoes on, but once I put shoes on, the seam gets sandwiched between the shoe and foot and feels terrible.

I gave it 2 starts instead of 1 due to the potential these socks have to be ok (and maybe I got part of a bad batch or something), but for now, I’m only wearing them on days I’m mostly around the house without shoes, debating if I should just trash them.

I bought these for xc skiing; I recently bought sturdy backcountry boots that come up fairly high on the shin, and I wanted a thick, warm, high sock. I already have a pair of wool socks that are a heavyweight mountaineering sock, but one pair isn’t enough.

First, I would say that I would consider these more of a midweight than a heavyweight, based on the other wool socks I have. Also, the height comes to about one millimeter below the widest part of my calf, which causes them to gradually slide down instead of staying put.

Otherwise, they fit nicely and they’re a comfortable sock. If they last me seven years, it will only be because they will be used only for xc skiing when my other pair is in the laundry.

So, if you’re like me, you’ve probably purchased socks by the huge package in the past. You know, the ones with 12 to 20 in a pack for $25 or so. And they probably lasted 4-6 months, 9 if you were lucky.

This was me. Then my doctor said due to some health issues I should look at some light to moderate compression socks to wear. After alot of looking around and seeing $12 on up to $50 for a pair that looked no thicker than couple of sheets of paper I was hesitant when I saw these.

I told the wife there was NO WAY a pair of socks could last 7 years. Well. Short answer, I was mostly right. I work in retail and am on my feet 8 hours a day. And that’s not just standing. I walk an average of 8 miles a day on a SLOW day, on a normal day closer to 12.

This is a lot of wear on socks over time. But, I purchased my first pair and gave them a try. They felt nice and I could feel the difference compared to other socks. Now, fast forward some 5 and a half nearly six years later and I’m purchasing pairs 9 and 10 overall to replace the first 2 pairs I bought all those years ago.

I bought these as the temperature dropped and find them impressive. The fabric is smooth, almost creamy to touch, warm but lightweight. I wish they came as tights too. They’re not thick like wool socks so you they don’t offer the same padding for ex.

hard soled boots. But they’re great otherwise with regular shoes.

Bought 10 pairs of socks for an upcoming wedding for the groomsmen, when the socks arrived they looked nothing like what they did in the display photographs so I have gone to return these straight away ( just to clarify these have not been worn, simply looked at so the fit review below is invalid because I have to answer that to fill this review in) and the items are nonreturnable.

I have been buying these socks forever. What else to say, they’re grey socks. Socks are socks. These are grey, okay, dark grey, a bit speckley. Yes, if you buy 4 pairs you save money, I bought 8. No, no extra saving! So there you go, buy 4 pairs of these socks, you’ll save some money and you should be happy, just like me! :).

I dislike tight socks and am so happy with the PediFix oversized socks. They are so comfortable and do great in the washer and dryer.

I am very happy with the first pair of your socks; however, I placed an order for 4 more pairs a few days ago. I wish I had received the 10% discount before I paid.

I was amused that these socks are labeled with which foot to wear them on. But it makes a difference in how the middle of the arch supports the foot. And they totally support without squeezing. The bottoms are thick, so, very comfortable.

The tops are a little thinner so they fit fine into shoes. There seems to be some extra toe-wiggling room (as opposed to “regular” socks), so no smashing the toes. The perfect length crew tops stay up without the telltale elastic line etching into the ankle, so also a comfort feature.

The gray is a true medium shade, not light or dark, very neutral. Most of the black design in the socks disappears under most shoes. Now that I have tried one pair, I will order more. This is a really nice sock.

These Wellness socks are my favorite pair of socks. I’ve been struggling with recovery of two stress fractures in my feet that occured over the past year, trying different compression sock brands, you know, anything to help.

Came across these and bought one pair, didn’t like them at first seemed a little loose but after a month or so of only washing no dryer (hanger dry) they confirmed better. I just bought my second pair because they really make me feet feel like they’re going on vacation as soon as I put them on.

Will be buying a few pairs as gifts for the holidays this year.

These socks run a lot larger than the previous ones I had recently ordered from you. The toe area is way longer/bigger and the heel bunches up when I put my shoe on. Was really disappointed as I loved the previous ones I had gotten.

The socks are very well made and have the flattest toe seam I’ve ever seen. You have to look really hard and close to even see it since it’s barely visible and you don’t feel it at all. I have very sensitive feet and toes and these are by far the most comfortable socks I’ve ever worn.

They are so soft and smooth that they almost feel as if they’re made with silk or some kind of microfiber but they really are 100% cotton. I have a latex allergy and these were wonderful to wear with no irritation at all.

I initially bought them to wear under my walking cast since I had a broken leg, but they felt so good on and weren’t too thick or bulky that now that the cast is off I’m going to wear them under jeans for everyday wear.

They also are thin enough and smooth enough that they don’t bind up under even tight jeans. They are a perfect length of knee sock and stay up very well. I will definitely be buying more of these same socks in the future.

Very nice socks. Nice thickness & feel of quality! I love a knee high that feels like it will last, well over a year! Turkish thickness as I had expected:) I have a Turkish House Coat that’s lasted over 35 years! Originally, it was a gift.

So if you like extra padding, you’ll love the extra thickness & comfort in wearing these with shoes. I couldn’t find anything like is quality, in a local stored & I highly recommend these!!! Nice & soft.

Noticed no bleeding of color after washed.

These are the best socks I’ve had for not leaving deep marks on my swollen lower legs – there is some slight marking, but very little compared to what I used to have. One negative for me is that for comfort and support I invariably wear walking boots instead of shoes, and these socks don’t stay up on their own but slide right down into the boots.

To counter this, I’ve bought sock suspenders, which themselves leave marks, but just a narrow band just below the knee and not deep. This is the best workable solution I’ve found. The socks are expensive, but I’ve not seen them cheaper elsewhere.

Normally I would give my Feetures 5plus stars. I have over 25 pair. Then why did I give this order a 3 you ask? I love the colors, the fit, and the feel; however, they seem very unraveled on the inside and when taking off the Multicolored green and tan one tonight I noticed that even on the front part they seem to be getting threads that has me concerned with the quality.

I have not yet worn the other two pairs, nor checked out the inside of them. All in all I love Feetures and will never stop purchasing them.

I’m a big fan of Feetures and I’ve got tons and tons of the low-cut Elite Max socks. I live in the northeast and wanted to be able to wear Feetures that have the same level of cushion but with a little extra coverage for the colder weather.

I at first searched the site but couldn’t find any crew socks with the maximum level of cushion, but I remembered seeing a recommendation from them in response to someone on their Instagram page a few months ago.

I DMd Feetures and was quickly provided with the name of these socks, and I ordered them in a few of the “bold” colors. Overall, I’m quite happy with them. The cushion feels great and the colors are a fun change of pace from the standard black that I usually wear.

I deducted a star because these are a little on the thin side. I’d say they’re akin to the thickness of a dress sock, maybe slightly thicker than that. If you’re familiar with the Elite Max, these are definitely thinner and less “fitted,” as they slide down my calf just a little bit which causes some bunching.

That said, these are still killer socks and I have a feeling they’d sell better if Feetures were to standardize the way they refer to cushion level. Everyday Comfort and Elite Max are the same in terms of cushion level — maybe a rename along the lines of “Everyday Comfort Max” would work.

I’d also love to see either additional colors or something like the Elite Max as a crew sock, but that’s veering off topic a smidge. Bottom line: As king as you don’t expect a hiking sock or cushioned running sock (which was my expectation), you won’t be disappointed that you ordered these.

Feetures is legendary in terms of comfort and the bold color options make these more stylish than the average offering. Highly recommended!.

Very pleased. I have pairs of feetures “trouser/everyday” socks from several years ago that wont stay on my heel. I remember being disappointed because I am ride or die for the ankle socks. I decided to give it another try this year.

I don’t know if the fit or yarn is different from my older purchase, but these are excellent. I will probable look for something a little thicker for a few pairs of boots, but this style is perfect for everything else I am wearing.

So many times, when I order socks the X-large size, well they fit like small. So, when I saw I could get XXL I was happy. And then the price? WOW WOW. I purchased the socks as a gift to local veterans in the local nursing homes.

I am so happy with the product and the price. I only purchase 5 cases this year, but next year it could well be 8-10 cases. Recommend? Of course, with the highest usage of adjectives for happy and satisfaction.

Good experience, but my ankles swell up, if I wear them too long. I do not wear any socks to sleep. I am a retired runner that wore Thorlo running socks. My legs were strong and never swelled up. I have to remind myself that I am older and have to accept what time changes.

First I thought these were too big but they will be great for summer with my sneakers. Seeing I am older these are absolutely perfect for me. Slip right on and even though I am not diabetic I deal with swelling so a great product.

Wear them like slippers instead of shoes around the house. They are warm for cold feet and my feet are always cold..

The first time I bought these socks size medium and they were perfect. The second time I bought them they were huge. The third time I tried small but they were very very small. The next time I tried medium and I tripped over the excess length of foot.

So I gave up. I really like the socks but for some reason they changed the sizes of each denomination S, M, L and there are none like my first ones. I cancompare them with my first old socks so I know it is true.

I have given them all to charity. They must fit someone, but not me.

DocOrtho “Ultra Soft Silver” socks are getting harder and harder to find, especially in XL. So I thought these might be a good replacement. They are NOT. They are tighter on the calf and harsher on the sole.

In short, they are not a “Comfort” sock. Thankfully I purchased only one pair to try them out. If they were truly a comfort sock, I would order a boat load.

These are the best socks my wife and I have ever worn. They provide the best support and comfort what this product is made for. It is unfortunate that I cannot purchase more of the extra large size of these particular socks for men.

I wish the men’s sizes were more available. I would buy them in a heartbeat. As you continue to provide your socks for women, we will continue to purchase them.

I love these socks!! I’ve been wearing the low cut no-show type for a few years now, and they are great! I walk my dog everyday 5-6 miles no matter the weather and they are always comfortable. Also wear them as an everyday or dress up sock due as the comfort is beyond compare.

Got my first pair of Crew Cut socks a couple weeks ago and the few times I’ve worn them they have been fine, a little longer than I’m used too for a crew sock so I will also try the Quarter Cut sock as well.

I had to replace a few pairs after about three-years and had no issues with a “free replacement” from Feetures once I figured out how to fill out the form. I do wish Feetures would come out with a “Cold Weather” sock also, fortunately I have insulated boots but a little extra warmth is always welcome when outside all day.

The fabric of these socks was rough and stiff. And the socks themselves were impossible to get on my feet. They were way too tight. Getting a size up would have made them too long. I have many other pairs of feeture socks and love them.

But these are not good. I don’t know if they can be returned since Ive already opened the package.
