20 Best Soccer Goals For Kids (2023 Updated)

This is a great little net! It was perfect for my 5-year-old’s birthday. The ball that comes with it is quite small but easy to kick for a little feet. And I love the pump that comes with it, we use it for adding air to all of our balls.

I’m deducting a star because after about 6 months of use the vinyl part of the net started to rip to the point where the whole net was going to fall off. I taped it back together with duct tape. We keep it outside and use it all the time so this doesn’t surprise me that much, but I can’t find a replacement at anywhere online to buy.

I wish this brand would sell the replacement net only so that I wouldn’t have to buy a whole new goal just to replace it.

First the good stuff: super cute and easy to put together. small enough to be toddler sized but not so small that my 22 month old was towering over the goal. here’s the reason why it’s 4 stars though: 1.

within minutes of playing, the net started fraying. this is due in large part because my kid is still understanding the concept of a soccer goal. but this is made for kids in mind, so it should be tougher than that! 2.

it should come with 4 stakes for you to put in the ground to avoid the inevitable–your kiddo topples the goal and keeps running, getting their foot caught in the net, followed by a faceplant and tears!.

This is great. Setup is pretty easy. Comes with a ball and a pump. It does the job! My kids love playing soccer with it.

If you are looking for a goal for your kids to practice shooting, this is an excellent choice. It is a lightweight version of other goals with a similar design. light enough that my 2 kids can lift it! Obviously the lightweight feature is good for portability, though it may prove less durable over time.

Even so, it is a great option at a very competitive price.

So far I have had my first goal since November of 2019, fast forward to September of this year and I have used it in nearly all of our practices. Even during COVID I trained my daughters with this goal so it has been used nearly every week two times per week.

The only reason I gave it a four star instead of five was because of the bag. The carry bag just seems slightly too small which causes it to tear at the ends over time. In addition, its really hard to get in the bag without ruining the zipper.

But the goal itself is a great product for the price. Super easy to put up and take down!.

I don’t see a bow in any of the pictures but mine has one in the center of the back ground bars which causes the center to not touch the ground. The button which locks the left side out does not catch.

Easy assembly but not quick enough for easy portability (from home to practice/home to games and back, etc. ), thus 4 stars instead of 5. As can be seen in product photos, there are multiple velcro straps that need to be attached to hold netting in place, and that’s after connecting all the frame poles.

Interconnecting metal poles and netting material seem very sturdy, much more so than the pop-up goals we had previously. But the metal poles make the frame a good deal heavier than a pop-up goal. A set of two of these Franklin goals seems like it will make for long-lasting fun in our backyard.

They’re already standing up to the rowdy play of our two young sons ages 7 and 5. But for toting around to parks, pop-ups would work better (our previous pop-ups were easy to transport and set up, but toward end-of-life, balls AND players were literally running through the netting, it had become so flimsy.

). I was hoping for a more portable set to bring to our sons’ practice sessions or for fun outings at our local parks, but our two goals (we purchased two) will remain in the backyard.

The netting on the goal is so weak and flimsy that granddaughters’ dog simply ran through and tore gaping holes in the netting in multiple places. For perspective, the dog was a puppy and only weighed 20 lbs.

I’ve put this up twice. It is very quick and easy to put up. The metal poles are strong and durable and lock solidly into place. My only concern for them will be potential rust. The net, on the other hand, seems very flimsy, like its made of those crunchy noodles at Chinese restaurants, and the velcro tie-downs rip in half easy, I’ve already lost 2.

My recommendation would be to buy another sturdier net with some plastic tie-downs when you purchase this, the poles are great so I still think its worth the price.

I like everything about this!!! I will evaluate again after we use it for a few times. It is easy to set up and take down. The 6 foot goals are a great size.

The goals have several positive features. They’re lightweight and easy to move around, but they will stay in place better than pug goals. However, they do tend to pull apart. Especially under heavy use.

I added some self tapping galvanize screws to all of the corners and the connection pieces. This seemed to help hold the goals together much better. Also, by using screws I can still easily pull it apart to replace the net.

The overall value of the net is fair. The pieces do not interlock well and do pop apart fairly easily. The net seams were not sewn properly so we ending up ripping the net sleeves just to get it together.

It is good to have in the backyard to help my daughter learn to kick in a smaller goal. The PVC is made of the most inexpensive type. If it was more durable PVC piping used for water it would be indestructible with teenagers.

Well made. Heavy extruded aluminum. Will last a long time. Easy to follow directions.

These goals are made to last. Built very sturdy and this for me warrants the price tag compared relatively to other goals I have had previously.

Got some of these from work and they are great. i didnt realize how expensive these are. 120 on amazon but prime shipping gets it next day. here at soccer. com 80. 99 (if goal club 90. 00 without) plus an added 36 dollar Standard 5plus business day shipping cost.

We bought this for our 11 year old son. We have a big, flat backyard. But it is new construction and so the grass/sod has not fully taken root. Therefore, we have a soft surface. This company does warn against soft surfaces and tells you to put in grass.

Well, we can’t see how that would even work. The base for the main stakes (main stakes are easily 10+ ft) only go about 3-4 inches into the ground. We pulled the bases and tested them in a yard that has been seeded for decades and there was no way they would withstand a mildly windy day let alone an actual wind gust.

luckily for us, my husband oversees several welders and machinists at his job, so he has 12” base machines to fit the main stakes. These work like a charm. That net isn’t going anyway now. But we both kept wondering what anyone south of the Mason-Dixon line with clay and sand would do.

Your kid will be so frustrated and you would have to send it back. I am giving it 3 stars because the actual net I. Very nice and good quality. We did actually get it up and it is awesome! But they really need to go back to the drawing board on those ground spikes/bases.

They are pretty useless!.

We’ve had the large open Goaaal for about a week now. It was fairly easy and straight forward to put together. Took around 3-4 hours for my 7 year old daughter and I to put up, but much of that was deciding exactly on the location and moving some things out of the way.

I imagine I could put it up in about 1-1. 5 hrs if I were to do it again. The goal seems to be high quality and it does what it claims. I’m completely satisfied with the purchase. Our kids love it, and the wife an I have also been known to join them.

My nitpicky complaints/suggestions (that I was aware of before purchase): 1. I would like the option of a taller net (not goal) for the large goal version. Since you tend to kick from farther away, it would be nice to have more room for error above the goal.

We’ve hit the very top a couple of times and if we miss high or my son knocks a ball up while practicing goalkeeper the ball will be well over the neighbor’s fence. 2. I would like to have the option of some sort of target overlay for the goal so that you can reward corner shots, etc.

I’ll probably rig something up soon, but it would be nice to have something designed for it.

Takes a bit of work to get setup. The instructions are okay (not great) and oddly there isn’t a good video to help with setup. That said, if you slow down and take your time, it’s not too bad to setup – just takes some time.

Once up the net worked as promised. I read some reviews that said it didn’t hold up. I have to think that they didn’t set it up right. My kids (and myself) are ripping shots at the net and it springs back, it even springs out of the goal a bit.

Fun, effective, good training tool. I give it five stars. Overall, my kids love it and it works as advertised. I haven’t tried pinning the net up yet for mowing, but will definitely need to do that.

The soccer nets are fairly straightforward to assemble, but the instructions for folding them away after play are a little vague. Once you get the hang of it, it’s very easy! The nets are a great size– very sturdy.

The carry bag makes them so portable, and is perfect for storing the nets. Although the zipper pull broke at one end of the carry bag, the zipper pull at the other end still closes the case completely.

Just received these in the mail. The material is very clearly not the best; however, pop-up goals are pop-up goals, as far as I’m concerned. The major issue here is that once of the fabric that connects the L-Connectors was frayed and disconnected from the L-Connector — right out of the box.

Now, since I think these are pretty cool and much less expensive than competitors, I’ve emailed their customer service requesting a replacement L-Connector. I also called, but only a voicemail — and unprofessional, personal voicemail, which is very weird.

I’m feel like I’m seeing a pattern here — shoddy construction, cheap material, unprofessional voicemail, no direct customer service. Once — if — I hear back from them, I’ll repost. At this point, I wouldn’t recommend spending the money.

Since I already have them — and stuck with dealing with returning them — I figured I’d give them a chance to prove to me their product and company isn’t garbage. Had I known they were this cheap, I wouldn’t have bought them in the first place.

Believe the comments that rate them high because of their cost-to-coolness factor; however, also heed the warnings from those pointing out the horrible construction.

I have a family of soccer players and was in the market for a quality soccer goal that wouldn’t break the budget. I’ve owner other Lifetime products (outdoor basketball hoops), so I felt comfortable selecting their goal.

Actually, two of them (to make a full soccer field of course!). Compared to a less expensive goal I bought from Walmart, these are well built. The powder coated poles are strong and sturdy and the nylon net can take a beating.

We don’t adjust the size all that often, but it is a nice feature to have. I will fold them up, however, and store them for the winter. In this case, it’s nice to break it down to where it doesn’t take much space.

I will say these goals won’t last forever as the first one I bought is showing rust and the net has a gap that balls can fly through. But it has taken a beating over several years of being left out in the winter and teenage boys now kicking harder shots.

Overall, I am impressed with the goal and would recommend to anyone.

I bought a set of these for my boys, 6 and 10 who are soccer enthusiasts and they’ve been having a great time with them, inviting friends over for games and the like. They set up quickly out of the box with not a lot of hassle.

I love that I can fold them up for winter storage and they won’t take a lot of room in the garage. I saw that as a more compelling feature than the portability, which we probably won’t take advantage of, though it’s nice to know we can take them somewhere, if need be.

The dimensions are great for backyard games, though we have, so far left them at the largest size. If my 6 y/o brings some some soccer friends, we can make them smaller. Very strong construction, I expect we’ll be using them for years to come.

I purchased two of this goals, and love the expandable height feature. Use these goals every Wednesday and Saturday. The main body of goal is very strong enough, and will not be bend if ball or somebody hit the goal.

This goal is big enough for 7 to 10 players each team, and it’s easy to carry to play ground and set it up, then fold it and ready to go. For review, I want to give a 4. 5 stars because of the small assembling parts.

the pin to hold shape on the goals corner, and the push button could lose couple month later. But the customer service is very nice, they will send you the lost parts you want every time, and goal will restore after you put the new small parts on it.

There are some good points. When first set up, the net has a satisfying tautness to it. My son enjoyed scoring goals in it. There are some weaknesses however. The net comes free from the clips a little too easily.

The net itself has held up well to the weather, however it has suffered from abrasion around the clips. Some net clips worked free from the frame over time. The angled brackets in the bottom corner either buckled, or worked free over time, leaving the bottom red angles vulnerable.

Once it cracks, corrosion quickly sets in. I would recommend regularly checking that the net is clipped at every point along the frame. Reinforce the lower corners at the first sign of damage to the brackets.

Consider something stronger when your child develops more shot power.

Bought at 1/2 price of £7. 99 so can’t complain about price. However, I’ve come to expect better from Decathlon. The online description doesn’t really identify this as a SMALL watch. In my opinion it’s really only suitable for a child.

It also arrived set one hour in advance of BST. Whilst that’s not terrible, it does put a question mark on battery life. Finally, the ‘swip’ strap isn’t very good. It moves and I reckon it’ll fall off sooner or later (not that I’ll be wearing it).

Sorry Decathlon, not to your usual high standards.

I got this for my 5yr old son who took to soccer after watching the 2018 World Cup. Excellent product, easy set up. Now he and I can pretend to be separate world cup teams or premier league clubs, and play against each other in the frontyard or backyard.

Even my 3 yr old girl joins in sometimes. Lots of fun for us all, especially when we get to penalties. A light kids soccer ball or slightly deflated regular ball is best. The slanted backwall of this goal allows fast balls to be directed downwards instead of taking the full momentum of the ball.

I’ve been coaching for a number of years in our local AYSO region and have never really found an affordable set of pop-up or foldable goals that I wanted to invest in. However, having these help out with so many different drills and activities, so getting a pair this year proved to be a necessity.

These goals are lightweight and extremely easy to assemble out of the box. They fold as easily as the instructions indicate and just take a little “shape matching” to get them into the carrying bag. The only “drawback” if you could really call it that is that since we practice on turf, I can’t use the included stakes to anchor the nets to the ground.

This means they will move with a really strong wind, but you can always weigh them down on the back to prevent that from happening. All in all, a very solid product that gives great value to any coach looking to expand his/her toolkit for the field.

These worked great for 10 months. We stored them in the house hoping it would make them last longer. My 5 year old kicked a ball into one of them and the top pole snapped and now it won’t stand. This product is not built to last.

After a decade plus of using another style of popup goals these are a nice upgrade. They give the players a more realistic goal to shoot at for small sided games. The small 3×5 goals are easy to setup and the nets do not tangle easily.

As a bonus when lined up side by side they make a good center net for a fun game of “volley soccer!”.

Does what it’s supposed to do. Durable and easy to set up and take down. Only down side is it does tip over occasionally with a powerful shot on goal or in strong winds but that’s to be expected with any free-standing goal this size.

Incredibly easy to assemble and take down. Only takes about one minute. The goals are super high quality and durable. Outstanding product!

I bought 2 of these goals for my 3 travel soccer-playing kids (ages 7-11) to use in our backyard. They love shooting on them, and they are very light/easy to move around when mowing (so 5 stars for all that), but the nets started tearing after just a few weeks (minus 1 star).

We have had the goals for over a year now, and the nets are completely shredded (minus another star), so we need to find and purchase replacement nets, which I hadn’t factored in when I purchased these goals.

Also, there are not enough of the velcro ties to adequately fasten the nets to the metal frame (minus another star). We can make do with the number that we were given, but really more are needed to do the job properly.

Perhaps if the net could be fastened to the frame in more places, it would result in the net ripping less? I’m not sure whether the two issues are related, but my guess is that they are.

I didn’t have the problems of the previous reviewer – my product didn’t come defective. Assembly was easy – and the goal folds down very easily by simply pulling out two steel pins, folding it, then popping the pins back in – reverse to unfold.

This is surprisingly sturdy, and the steel poles are strong, yet very lightweight. The net is cheap – not the greatest of quality – but is adequate. It’s a great goal for the backyard or for youngsters just beginning with soccer – and you can’t beat the price.

Very good value. My only complaint – and the reason I couldn’t give it 5 stars – is because of how the net attaches to the frame. The goal comes with velcro strips which are used to attach the net. It could include a few more strips – but even so, it can sometimes become unattached when used frequently, or slide along the frame.

You can purchase more velcro strips to shore up the net, or buy a roll of white duct tape to secure the net all the way around.

I would have been better off to go to Lowe’s and buy materials to make my own soccer goal for the kids. The parts I was sent don’t match up and go together. And, of course my five kids were watching me attempt to put this together wanting to know when it was going to be ready.

So, thanks esoccer goals for ruining my families mothers day! Mom wanted the kids to play soccer this afternoon, but because of this pitiful company that obviously gets their parts and directions made by foreigners that don’t speak english I have to suffer along with my wife and kids.

I had purchased another set of goals that required assembly and then wanted you to fold them twice to put them away. The first process was time consuming and difficult. I worried at times I would break the goals putting them together.

The process of folding them twice I deem impossible because I broke one of the goals in an early attempt to complete the task. So, I found these goals on Amazon after reading reviews there and here. WOW! What a difference.

These goals come preassembled. They were open and ready for use about 30 seconds after got them out of the box. And, the storage bag for them only requires a single twist/fold and that is simple and easy.

Beyond that, the goals are durable and work well for my granddaughter and our practices for U5 girls. I bought the 6 foot goals and they are working great. I wish I had bought these goals first!!.

Good nets work well for small games. Would give 5 stars but a few of the stakes ripped off. Easily fixed. Would recommend some kind of remforcment on the stake straps.

I am a soccer coach for 2 club teams and one middle school team so I have a lot of equipment including multiple sets of pugs so when I saw this deal on face book I jumped on it I purchased a set of 4ft pop up goals, they came in on time but when I opened the package I was very very disappointed with the quality, they are very thin and seem brittle! The Velcro on one goal tore off when I first opened it! We have 20 teams in our club ranging from u8 to u18 and I was going to tell them about your website but again I was very very disappointed with the quality, I should ask for my money back because these are toys not training tools!.
