If you have fifa 22 then fifa 23 isn’t really needed. Apart from new menu layouts and a few minor tweeks it feels a lot like the 22 version. Maybe over time I’ll discover new things that I like, but so for I’ve not been impressed.

I should state that I only play career mode, maybe all the bug changes are to FUT.

They really screwed up the dynamics of this game making gameplay more cumbersome and rigid. The fluidity of the game is gone and they made PSG too powerful. Literally the same match-up everytime you play, your team VS the cheat code team.

Definitely takes away from the online fun. Their matchmaking algorithm is also way off. When I was in Division 6 I was Vsing Division 1 opponents. I restrict matchmaking to similar star teams, I use 3.

5 stars. Without fail, Im matched every single time with a 5* PSG team. They really need to fix this issue. Makes the game utterly unplayable for the purists.

Ultimately, this has to be one of Nintendo’s weakest moments. To put it simply, the game lacks content, significantly so. You boot it up, you have quick battle, cup battles, the option menu and the online mode named “Strikers Club”.

If you’re like me, and see no value in paying Nintendo for their shoddy, laughable excuse of an online service just to play online, then you end up with even less content. Very small roster, small selection of arenas to mix halves on, no way to customise anything on your characters outside of gear, no long-term single player objectives, one hyper strike animation per character, limited modes.

It’s horribly disappointing. I will say, that the gameplay is smooth and it feels fun / great to play. You feel awesome as your classic Nintendo characters do hops, flips, bicycle kicks and rainbow flicks around the stadium.

It’s easy to boot it up for half an hour or so with my partner and have a good time. It’s also quite accessible, not particularly difficult. That said, it’s just not good enough right now for me to recommend it in it’s entirety.

It feels like a live-service game and with the emphasis on online-play over any meaningful single-player content for the long term, I’d say that it is indeed, live-service. Perhaps down the line, when they’ve added some substance to the game, expanded the roster, maybe added some expanded customisation in and have more arenas or unique ways to play, I’d likely suggest it.

For now, if you need a football fix with substance and one that won’t set you back a penny on entry, I’d just play Rocket League instead whilst you wait for this one to improve.

The real issue is that game is incredibly light on content. You select four players to join your team out of ten, which means that in two or three matches you already tried all of them. there should be more characters! Also, all the different configurations make no difference at the end of the day.

whatever stadium you select, the overall experience is the same. there should be more items, there should be more of everything! See Super Smash Bros for example – very similar proposal, incredibly rich in content – it was launched four years ago, and I still play it to this day.

Also, how come you can’t play online with eight players? This game was designed to be played online, so the very least one would expect would be that in could be experienced in full on the online mode.

Why put a cap of four players only? Also, the computer BOTs are incredibly bad, and ruin your experience. if all players were controllable, that issue would be solved at least. Very disappointed. Used to love the franchise, and this is a major letdown.

This game is complete trash compared to the nintendo Wii version. The Wii version had cooler animations for literally everything. This game feels sterile, has no personality and unfinished. Total waste of money.

I want my money back. WAAYYY less characters, maps and other stuff. Play Wii version and you will seeTRASH; jus- just TRASH. If 0/10 was an option, I would give it that.

Fifa 18 for the Switch is a very basic serving of football on the switch. I predominately play in handheld mode. The AI is either terrible and make no attempt to tackle or robotic ball hawks who never miss a challenge.

Can be frustrating with little reward when it works well. Goal feel is hit and miss as the goalkeepers are like cats on any difficulty. A survivable experience but if you are used to xbox or playstation it is stripped back.

As a longtime fan of the series who has been waiting for a new installment for many years, it pains me to have to give this game anything other than a glowing review. Unfortunately, there is barely any content, and the content that is present is lackluster.

As expected, there is no story mode, but this is a party game so that’s understandable. The only options are quick match, cup battles, online play, and a team-based online mode. While the original game on GameCube has 4 difficulty settings, this game only has 2: braindead and ridiculous.

The normal AI doesn’t even try, so every game ends in a 10-0 victory at minimum. The galactic difficulty is so blatantly unfair that it isn’t even worth playing. The AI reads inputs, and if you’re winning then the game conveniently gives your opponents a few quick lazy goals to keep them in the game and ultimately give them an undeserved win.

Victories feel like you’re winning in spite of the game rather than because you actually earned the win. This is the only content in the game with any sort of progression (beating cups to earn trophies and coins to buy gear), and it isn’t fun in the slightest.

As a result, I can’t recommend the game to any solo player for its current price tag of $60. With all that being said, playing the game with friends is pretty fun, and the gameplay mechanics are very faithful to past installments which is a huge plus.

I do still recommend the game, but ONLY if you’re going to play local or online co-op with friends. Other than that, stay away.

After 15 years of waiting for a new Mario Strikers game, Nintendo and Next Level games released a new installment in the series for Nintendo Switch, Mario and the gang return for another round of Soccer with no rules, and items.

This team, the player can customize their teams with each character from the selected roster as well as gearing up new armor to power up the characters’ speed, shooting, passing, technique and strength.

Like the first two Strikers games, you control your character to kick, pass and knock your opponents to the electric fence and win as many goals as you can by scoring one point or two by obtaining a striker ball to do a charge kick.

Whether to battle against friends locally online or against cpu in the tournament to earn the 5 cups and coins to purchase new gear. But like Mario Golf Super Rush and Mario Tennis Aces, Battle League is missing a few features.

The roster is weak compared to Charged, less items, and not that much unlockables. Aside from those negatives, Battle League’s animation is beautiful and the controls are good, While the lack of features are missing, Mario Strikers Battle League will be kicking around when Nintendo adds DLC sometime soon.

The gameplay is on this game is satisfying and addicting! It’s easy to learn and pick up but challenging to master. However, I’m giving it 3 stars due to the lack of content. There’s only 10 characters in the game, 5 levels, and only three game modes: Cup mode, Quick mode, and Club mode.

Cup mode is pointless because you don’t unlock anything except coins to purchase gear. And Club mode is lacking due to the inability to play with 4 friends on 4 different consoles. Online mode is basically a couch multiplayer game if you want to 4 player experience.

Again, the gameplay itself is amazing, it’s just the content that’s lackluster. Although early data mine reports show more free content is on its way (10 additional characters), It’s still a shame for those who buy the physical version that decades from now will be bare bones unless you download updates.

I recommend this game as digital or at a discounted price.

Well, another year, another FIFA. One of my biggest gripes with EA Sports is the similarity year in, year out, kits and players may change but you don’t get a lot new. Well, it seems that way usually but with small improvements.

This year they have included Champions and Europa Leagues along with the normal competitions. The graphics have improved, the gameplay is more realistic and the atmospheres stunning. Working my way through the game today and it’s good.

It’s bloody good. Maybe the purists will find a few mistakes and things not to their liking. I for one thought it a bit unrealistic that most fans wore the same thing! However, that aside, feel the effort that has been put into the game is reasonable.

Price? Well 50 for a game that was around 30 (without the extra material) a couple of years ago, is steep for some. especially if you buy the game year in and year out. But then consider what you are getting for your money.

It works out about 1 a week. If you play it all the time, and some will, it’s well worth it. They could still do more imho. Again weather conditions are limited, commentary is good, but can be repetitive occasionally.

Would like to see more fouls from AI opponents, aggressive behaviour from players, commentators criticising poor refereeing decisions etc. etc. And more variety in the crowd. But then I’m a purist. I rate this 8/10.

There is always room for improvement. But on the whole, very good. It certainly wipes the floor with PES in my opinion. Let’s see more than 1 update throughout the year though, not just after the January transfer window.

After playing it for over a year I can say this: The online gameplay is crappy on all the FiFas I’ve played. You will get very frustrated with Fifa games. Unless you are a calm person or someone who doesn’t mind getting cheated off easy goals and passes that should go thru to your receiver; getting called for fouls and penalties that you don’t even commit.

Using defenders that look like they are stuck in mud when they need to run and defend a counter attack or a lob pass over your head. Constantly having the short end of the stick while bumping into the opponent and always falling down or losing the ball, while the opponent has no issue.

You will want to break the disc in half! Other than that, when it miraculously responds to what you press and where your directional stick is pointing, it gets fun. You will notice some online opponents get EVERY SINGLE thing go their way.

Loose balls and offensive off-the-post shots that always go to their attacker on the rebound like a magnet. Last BUT NOT LEAST, their players seem to always run faster than your fastest guy. Yeah, then you’d find you’re down 4 in the first half for no reason at all.

You will just quit the game because it gets so absurd and stupid, and sooo frustrating. Then the next time you play you’re unstoppable! Makes no sense. I can win 8 out of 10 games and make division 2, sometimes division 1, then I’ll lose till I’m in division 4.

How? Ask someone else because I don’t get it. Play it, but expect to get ticked off at some point. Hope this helps in your FIFA- buying experiences. Have a nice day everyone.

Pros: Some classic halo moments, with some new gameplay style elements. The grapple is the coolest thing ever! This multiplayer feels more like reach and halo 3 than the more recent instalments. Cons: Without coop, this game doesnt quite have the same replay value as the others.

The fifa 20 franchise has become terrible pro clubs is lame and scripted fifa 14 15 16 17 were some of the best pro years. Since then as has plummeted and flopped. The ultimate team experiences is a lot box experience it makes you spend money on packs and gamble with your money.

The amount of scripting in fifa is hugh when you try to play proper rivals on ultimate team be prepared to surrend 5 to ten goals in your frist match the game is broken and makes you rage. It’s the worst fifa of all time this is from some who plays pro clubs with people from the United Kingdom.

The game needs work and stop using money on the FIFA ultimate team thier Rob even after spending 100 USD. You wont usally get any one uless you play rivals and squad battles and thier two broke modes.

This game use to be incredible I was ranked 50 in the world the mechanics are worse and FIFA is a 1/ 10 for me. The fennese shot is broke and their always new ways too pass which gets confusing like L1 x L1 Traingle and L1 triangle triangle double press Square for a low cross and don’t spam R2 the amount of stamina you get is horrible.

Professional players are not that slow. I’ve played fifa since fifa 2001 games really been destroyed since then. Save your money and let fifa R. I. P.

Not enough content. The gameplay and design is perfect but just not enough content. There should be the option of longer tournaments, leagues, character development as they climb the football ranks, way more characters and pitches.

It’s a great game for about 5-10 hours then it’s over. Online is okay but not everyone wants to play online and not everyone has friends for multiplayer. Updates and free DLC are desperately needed and quickly before the game is put away and not played again.

An impulse buy for both nostalgia and to get my little preteen gamer moving. Love the new designs, very colorful and alive. The characters give me Splatoon x Animal Crossing vibes with just a dash of anime inspo.

(And the option to still select Miis is a nice throwback!) The motions are a good combination of realistic simulation and simplified movements to accommodate a larger player base. Chambara (swordplay) and volleyball are my favorite, I’m very impressed by those ones.

Even with the just two Joy-Cons (1 pair), you can still enjoy ~90% of the game with another person. As for the price to content ratio. it’s not the best but not the worst. For $50, there’s essentially only 6 sports, some of which do have options that provide varied gameplay.

And the idea of competing against others globally to accumulate points for prizes/accessories is great, but even that is limited to 2 prizes a week (with CPU competitors, which is whatever) without the $100 Nintendo Online subscription.

Compare that to Zelda BotW is about the same price and has a *ton* of content (albeit one save file and no motion control wizardry). But it’s still FUN! When will the novelty wear off? I don’t know. I feel like there’s still a lot I can get out of the game.

But even then, it’s easy to pick up, great to pull others into, and a fun light workout.

This game was great fun! It does have it troubles here and there but it’s honestly a great game. The only problem I have with this game is the lack of content. Sure there is a pro league and some Unlockable customization options, but it’s all locked behind Online play.

The trial mode with it though, only lets you unlock two items per week, and your not playing against real people. Luckily, I have online and feel bad for the people who don’t cause they are missing out on a huge chunk of the experience.

I only know about this trial mode because my brother tried playing online even though he doesn’t have the online membership, so it granted him trial mode which sucked by the way. At the end of the day though, Just like playing and Wii sports game in the series, Competing against friends and family is where a Wii sports game is really gonna shine.

It’s not the best game in the series but it’s a step up from Wii sports Club, that’s for sure! This game is still a fun time and I Highly recommend this for people who want to compete with their friends and family.

But personally, I’d use the Miis as my avatar. I’d also like to add that Tennis, Badminton, and Volleyball do not feel the same, so don’t listen to those people who haven’t even played the game yet. But anyway, Thanks for reading this review.

We were so excited to get this game as it was our favorite for the Wii. A pretty solid effort with some caveats: The good: Bowling and tennis are just as good as we remember. The special obstacle version in bowling is especially fun! Volleyball is one of the best games in the group! Great player controls and action.

We really like the soccer, once we got used to strapping the controller to our thigh, the controls worked well. Really enjoying the online play functions and the graphics are solid. The not so good: There was no reason to include the badminton.

Not much different from the tennis. The swordplay game is pretty much useless, controls are inconsistent and not intuitive. We hope they have DLC available soon to expand what is an extremely limited selection of sports, especially for the money.

All in all we still feel this was a worthwhile purchase, but the hope is there are more sports added soon.

I never had the need to return the game, and may have opted for the demo instead; high hopes proved otherwise. But I dumbfoundedly discovered you can’t return a title once it has been opened. I tried playing it more afterwards only to discover the dodgy mechanics, lack of vision, and absent single player experience.

Mechanics left me with a hard time playing with difficult controls. A reaction reel trained for a requirement of hours of gameplay. Lack of vision because of a small tiny map to work with. To compensate this, they decided on poorly managed mystery boxes to grant you items whilst previously it was character based.

No single player mode… or just nothing to encourage you on with a wall of fame. Just no vision for a single player experience if you know what I mean. This is rocket league and Mario kart put together… with a much smaller pixel space to work with.

I think this game is fun overall. The matches are fast paced and exciting and the unique characters make things very entertaining. The problem is that outside of the individual matches, the game feels very skimpy.

I get that this is supposed to be an arcade-style game, but more options for longer matches or variable rulesets would add a ton to the quality. It’s too complicated for someone to just pick up and play, but it’s too repetitive for someone to want to keep playing over the long haul.

I imagine this is something I’ll occasionally go back to, but I’d much rather play the arcade mode on FIFA and lose out on the fun of Mario characters while having what is ultimately a much more fleshed-out game.

Wait for this to go on sale. It’s not worth $60.

Nintendo on their website listed for each sport how many people could play. The reality is it’s less than mentioned. They said bowling was 1-16 players – except it’s 1-4 offline, or 1-2 online (against 14 other players around the world).

They said football had 1v1 or 4v4 modes – it’s 1-2 players on/offline. Tennis is 1-4 offline, but only 1-2 online. Badminton is 1-2 offline but only 1 player online (Badminton has doubles irl, why is doubles not a mode in this game?) Volleyball is 1-4 offline, only 1-2 online.

Chanbara 1-2 off, 1 player only online. Some of these modes could easily have had more players allowed. Football could have up to 4 players as the Switch can connect 8 joy-cons (you need 2 each) Badminton could have a doubles mode.

Chanbara you could take turns as a team, winner stays on etc. Bowling could easily have up to 16 players offline with people passing a joy-con around (although it would take a long time for the game to finish) But no, everything feels more limited than it should.

There’s also golf to be added in as a free update later on, so the game feels unfinished. There’s also no reason they couldn’t have had boxing and baseball from the old Wii Sports. The gameplay itself is OK, but flitters between sometimes feeling like it’s rewarding your accurate, realistic movements and sometimes unexpectedly sending your shot off somewhere else even though you didn’t do much different from your previous movement.

There are also nuanced/hidden moves that it doesn’t show you in tutorials which gives the play some depth, but is also unbalanced if there’s match ups between someone that knows all the secrets and some one who doesn’t.

There’s also the lacking rewards for playing online – you just unlock more clothes and accessories for your avatar. My kids like this and it will keep some people going, but why not also have some leaderboards or weekly competitions, or badges that show things you’ve achieved such as 5 strikes in a row, or win/loss ratio or something else? So for my family of 5, at best 4 of us can play at once, but then once we go online, it’s down to 2 of us, and then within 2 out of 5 of the games it’s one person by themselves.

consider that before buying, if you had a different expectations of multiplayer as I did.

got this day one for my family to play. (4 kids 11,9,7,4) the graphics are not 15 years better. The cartoon figures are fun looking but the whole visual experience is not inline with graphical improvements since 2005 the 6 games seem like hours and hours of fun but badminton and volleyball is very limited in moves.

The sword play is glitchy as the movements arent exactly precise. The football doesnt seem to require the leg strap (atm) but its reasonable fun. The tennis is much the same as original and imo the bowling is worse as the controller doesnt react the same as the original.

We all like the bowling anyway and the split screen is an improvement but,. ,. overall it is not a better game than WII Sports. I admit that expectation is high because of the 15 years gap but its just a poor revamp.

Nintendo Switch Sports is a blast form the the past when it was call Wii Sports. Basically the same game with a couple of new sports added. But rose tinted glasses time. it’s a bare bones game and all the sports except Bowling are basic and ultra short, blink and they are over before you know it.

Still fun though, but Warning the items to create a sports star are locked behind online mode only and with out a subscription you will not have much to customise. Online mode seems pointless unless your playing with a friend.

I have wanted to play a modern ‘Wii Sports’ type game with full online support for a long time, and this title is scratching that itch. I especially love that online is the primary focus (the first menu item), and there is a long-term customization path with new items to work toward every week.

I also love that there is Ranked Mode for every sport, with an option to toggle it off when you like. This has just the right amount of incentive and goals to work toward to keep me playing for months to come as long as things continue to trickle out every week.

The presentation is slick and clean and I like that you can still import Miis if you want but the newer avatars are a nice update. I’m especially excited to see what new ‘body types’ and outfits we’ll get to unlock.

I do wish Ranked mode had SOME kind of reward tied to it. For example, reaching rank D in Tennis could award a bronze metallic racket, rank C a silver one, rank B a gold one, and Rank A. a rainbow one, etc.

Something like that. Just a cool little thing to show off your achievement. While most of the sports are fun and have a bit more depth to them as you learn them, it is a bit disappointing how imbalanced they feel.

Soccer is the standout here, feeling like an entire developed sub game, while badminton get repetitious quickly due to feeling like I have very limited options – tennis is somewhat similar as I feel like I cannot perform drop shots or lob shots to spice up the balance.

In general, Tennis/Volleyball could be a lot more engaging if we had the option to fully move our characters around, and/or tennis with 1v1 with full character movement. Lastly, it can be unclear what kinds of movements are required to perform certain moves and it can feel inconsistent.

I never had issues with this in Wii Sports Resort/Club but here I find my character specifically not performing the movements I am consciously doing, especially in Chambara, which severely dampens my experience when I’m trying to play against players who know what they’re doing.

Having SOME kind of way to access all of the ‘tips’ that show up on the loading screen would work (Smash Bros. Ultimate has a menu like this) and would at least help!.

I miss the things that made the older titles in the Wii Sports series so great. Medals / Stamps, or some sort of challenge mode / collectibles. The game lacks the ‘mini-games’ that were present in previous titles too.

The special bowling mode is really good, I’d like to be able to select this when playing online though rather than being randomly thrown into matches and not knowing which game I’m going to play. I like the unlockables a lot, do think that their needs to be more customisation for those who want to play only offline.

At the moment it seems as if they are unable to enjoy the game properly without buying a subscription, which isn’t fair in my opinion. Perhaps some sort of career mode // progressively gaining skill for offline players, so that the gameplay doesn’t get stale.

Other than these things which I feel are missing – the gameplay is solid and the online has been very stable for me. It’s got all of the charm and playability of Wii Sports without so many unlockables and secrets, which is a shame.

Please revisit Nintendo Wii Sports, as the Switch version is incomplete. The Wii version had personality, it was fun. The Mii’s made the game unique by reacting how the player interact with the world.

It’s special to the player because the Mii’s were their creation. The different sports had a plethora of game modes for all sports. It was a Solid Game. In the Switch version, Mii’s are an after thought as they do not allow any customisation.

6 sports, not bad, but does not have as many game modes as the Wii’s version. The game needs more player interactions and spectator’s reacting. For example, in Wii Sports you can feel the immersion, how the spectators react.

Like the bad throw of the bowling ball, throw the bowling ball back and the Mii’s react. It’s not a bad game as the experience feels incomplete, however still has potential.

This is absolutely without doubt the worse game I’ve ever played. Full of glitches from invisible players and players with green and blue square patterned skin. I’ve been playing Fifa since 98 and this has no doubt made me think about ever buying a Fifa game again.

I know it’s on switch and is a legacy addition so I bought this knowing it wasn’t going to be great but wow did it exceed all my expectations! Clearly just a money grab! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS!!.

DO NOT BUY THIS My kid went to target and bought this for his brother for Xmas. Cashier asked if he wanted the receipt and he said no. Come Christmas Day my son tries to load the game and on THE BACK of the card it states you need a code on the receipt to claim the game.

REALLY?! So my son is out $40 because Nintendo has a ridiculous set up for these with a note only on the back of the card. And the target cashier should have required my kid to take the receipt. So annoyed.

Will not purchase any more Nintendo gift cards.

Anybody who remembers bowling or playing tennis on the Wii will love this. The classic games we all loved updated and tweaked slightly but without losing its old charm and family competitiveness. My only complaint is that their is just the 6 sports.

You would have thought the way technology etc has moved on their would have been a lot more sports to choose from. Perhaps that will come with online patches or upgrades. I hope so.

6 games available with a golf one in the pipeline in Sept. Tried online play, its a little different in that all players play at the same time (even in bowling) but fun to see the scores constantly changing.

Volleyball probably the most difficult to play but all others great and fun to play with family.
