20 Best Soaking Tub For Two (2023 Updated)

My wife and I are two smaller people who live in a very small home. This bath was a big upgrade from the old, dingy, shallow, 4 foot tub that came with our home. We were both shower people before but we just LOVE bathing in this! The contours of the tub are very comfortable for us and the water is nice and deep.

We are glad we spent the extra money and made the extra effort to get this in cast iron. Yes, cast iron is expensive, and getting something so heavy delivered and into our bathroom was a big pain in the you-know-what.

We don’t expect to ever have to buy a tub, or to move this one again though! Now that it is installed, the tub is so smooth, shiny, substantial, cleanable, and perfectly white. It makes us feel nice and clean.

We love it! Admittedly, since we bath together often, if our house were not so little we would wish this tub were bigger. Larger people probably would not want to bath in this tub together so much. In our small house though we already had to move a wall and sacrefice a slice off our spare room to make room for this.

We would not choose to allot more of our limited space to the bathroom. We think this is the perfect compromise between space allowances and bath comfort, for our desires.

I love this tub and have specified it many times. However, the quality control is no longer satisfactory. I receive two tubs. The first was scratched & the second had inconsistent glazing in the sides.

I called about another in stock but I was told that one also had finish issues. Disappointing for such a great design.

Beautiful tub. Unfortunately, we had to return the first one due to a defect in the finish. It was a little bit of a hassle, but the replacement received was perfect.

The tub looks good and is well made, BUT the sitting area is only 28 inches long. Most would have to bend legs to sit in it. Quite uncomfortable. The 48″ length is very deceiving. The rim is 4″ at each end and the back is sloped.

I wish I had read more. Would never have bought it. Very unhappy I learned the hard way. Expensive mistake.

we are in the process of redoing a bathroom so these are not installed yet, but they look beautiful and feel heavy and good quality.

Small but deep soaker tub. Pleasantly surprised.

This is gorgeous for the master bathroom remodel we did. The plumber and contractor were impressed. It installed easily. My wife loves it! The only downside is that it is so light, we had secure the “feet” with silicon to the floor, otherwise it would move around if bumped.

It is just installed, so I cannot validate the longevity, but it appears to be constructed of high quality materials.

After much research settled on this tub for a Master Bath reno. The challenge came with connecting the drain line. With no access to below had to rough in the trap, lifting up the existing floor after laying the tile, ran the supplied flex drain hose.

Leaked like a sieve. Not where the flex line connected but in the flex line itself. Called customer service who sent a new one. Was more careful installing the new one being careful not to extend too many times.

Hoping that the flex line will last over time.

This tub is as cheap as they get. Very low quality construction, flimsy and super light. Great for ease of carrying, but nothing else. This thing won’t even sit tight to the floor surface – you have to put in a huge line of caulk just to fill the gap on the bottom of the tub.

It’s so thin and flimsy, you wonder how anyone could get into it without flipping it over. Do Not Buy!!!.

Looks great, is very comfortable to lay in and holds heat very well. We absolutely love this tub and it is definitely a nice focal point of our master bath. The only “issue” we have encountered is that a little bit of water always drips out the sprayer when you place it back on the stand, and more than once I have forgotten to adjust the controls appropriately and sprayed myself when I meant to run the faucet.

These are just annoyances, however, along with the fact that we do not get to use the tub enough.

This is absolutely beautiful. We bought the black tub. It isn’t too tall to climb in and the perfect size not too big or small. I would recommend it for a master bath or guest bath because the outside could be scratched because of the material it’s made from.

Really gorgeous tub. It is the perfect size for our space, which makes the fact that I can’t quite straighten my legs straight just fine, but if that is a big deal to you measure carefully. It was also too big to fit thru our bathroom door so our contractor had to expand the door, but that is a plus to me as my husband had told me no before on that idea! I can’t wait for the project to be done so I can try it out.

We are installing with a matte black wall mounted fixture.

It’s a beautiful tub but after one bath with a 2 year old and plastic bath toys there was a chip. Then 2 days later another. I’ve had tubs my whole life and always had kids with bath toys and I have NEVER had a tub chip.

I cannot tell you how disappointed I am in this product. It’s brand new and it’s ridiculous that this is happening. I plan on calling Kohler directly as well.

The tub you see in Home Depot or Lowe’s. Are not the same as you get direct from Kohler. Ordered one from HD came destroyed! Same scenario with Lowe’s! Orders direct from website with phone support while doing so.

They were running a promotion , same exact price. Both the other places promised 5-7 days. Took 3 times the time. Kohler, better packaging, better service, and in 6 days. Yes I recommend this tub, and buying from Kohler when that’s the choice of manufacturers!.

Nice finish, very very very comfortable. This tub makes me want to relax for hours, but we have small children. The small children also love it and it can hold three of them with minimal fighting.

The tub itself is ok, HOWEVER the schematic templet online shows the dimensions for the smaller tub. This is what I printed for my contractor and what was planned for. I thought I was ordering the smaller tub.

It is very confusing, to only show in a diagram, the smaller dimensions. The larger tub is what came and barely fits and my plumber had to cut up my brand new floor tile to relocate the drain. This cost me $500 extra dollars.

Buyer beware.

So far, so good. The packaging was damaged upon receipt but the tub was prettycwell protected inside the box. I opened it and found no apparent damage. I may have some further comments after it has been installed and after I’ve had a chance to use it.

i looked everywhere for a bathtub that would fit in my area. this was the first one that was the right size and looks fantastic

I the tub was so beautiful. However, the middle of the tub was extremely narrow which made soaking not that comfortable. I ended up returning this because it just was not working for my family. Its beautiful to look at but not very practical.

Great value, easy to assemble. it was easy to move the tub upstairs because it is light weight. Our entire home is upstairs above the barn so I was concerned about a cast iron tub being too heavy. This one will work great and hopefully last for many years.

No problems at all with this tub! We love it. My husband is over 6 foot and it easily accommodates his height! I love the oil rubbed bronze finish and the faucet really gives it extra character.

This is the only place that offered the drain in several different finishes. I was specifically looking for matte black. If the space would have allowed for a longer tub I won’t have gone with the bigger option but it’s a perfect fit.

The shipping company damaged the first tub but filing a clam and having it replaced was easy and timely. Great company to work with.

I have only used my new tub a handful of times. It is gorgeous and very comfortable. However, sometimes the stopper doesn’t seal properly. You have to let the stopper back up and run your finger around the rim in between the metal of the stopper and the silicone.

This is extremely aggravating considering that the tub is brand new and was very expensive. I have had to completely drain the tub twice (out of 5 times) to get the stopper to seal correctly.

This is for new contstruction, so we have not used it yet. We are building a Mother-in-law suite at our property. My mom wanted a walk-in tub, and most of them are very expensive. this one had all the features she wanted and was much less money than others we looked at.

Hopefully, it will be a good tub for her for many years!.

I just selected this soaking tub over the other options they offered, and I must say that i am satisfied. The materials are durable and well made, just by the look we can notice it ..

This tub is more comfortable than you might imagine based on its angular nature. We liked the symmetry of it and used the rectangular footprint as a theme with our subsequent tile selections which we stacked instead of offsetting.

The result provides a bit of glamour we did not expect. It was packaged well and withstood several months of being used as a de facto workbench at the job site.

We love the look of this tub. It has a high end look at an affordable price point. The plumbers were pleased with the parts that came for the install. Part of our decision on purchasing this tub was the weight as we had been told an issue in freestanding tubs was instability.

This tub was installed with a generous amount of silicon at the bottom and we have had no stability issues. Very pleased with our purchase.

It’s beautiful but be aware that the sides are quite thick so the internal length is not quite as long as the overall length if you’re looking for a tub for a taller person. I’m 5’10 and my feet don’t touch the other side sitting down, but I have to bend my legs laying down.

Also this item shipped from the US which the site doesn’t specify, but even with covid, it came quite quickly.

This tub is an amazing soaking tub. A few notes though. Build. com said it would take 6-9 weeks to come in and instead it came in a week, which meant it had to sit in my living room in a box because we were not ready yet.

I received an email it had shipped and the shipping company did not call me to set up a time, like the email said. They just showed up and luckily I was home. Next interesting thing is that the tub came with a drain assembly with a thread count of 11 which DOES NOT MATCH ANY US SEWER LINES.

We called Wyndam and they were unhelpful with the manufactoring defect and we had to buy a third party drain assembly to get it to connect to our sewer line. We paid another $80 for the new drain assembly and had to halt construction for a week.

The tub itself is an amazing soaking tub that even my 6’1″ husband can get a good soak in, but buyer beware it may come before you expect it and the drain assembly will not fit your sewer line!.

Yes, this tub looks great after installation. However, directions from the company found in the installation and specifications guides are severely lacking detail and poorly written. Tub comes with chrome drain and overflow temporarily installed, others come in a separate box packaged with your tub.

2×4 construction images in guide for framing are inaccurate for installation. No recommendation for bracketing from the manufacturer to the wall, only rests on your stud framing per direction which seems like a lot of reliance on the feet.

No detail for drain replacement or videos online – Overflow face is easily pulled off (carefully from the inside or by hand) and can steal the mounting for your other finish piece. -Drain provided for nickel had massive compression fits on it vs.

chrome leaving minimal threading for drain. It is a nice addition to the bathroom so far, but the installation instructions seem like they are more harm than good as written.

The tub is really lovely and has tons of room! My only complaint is that the white trim package included a stopper that does not work well at all. We’ll have to order another and hope for the best. The tub really looks stunning though and the dimensions were exactly what we needed.

This bath tube cannot be installed on a concrete foundation. It requires access from underneath to connect drain. Designed for installation where a crawl space or basement underneath for access to connect drain.

Sales representative did not discuss the installation requirement. This tub had to be return and another model ordered and installed. Error cost me $75 for shipping of tub back to retailer.

There are a million options in bathtubs. The most important price-wise, is not the cost of the tub, but the cost of the plumber to install it. In Maryland, it was $800 more to install a cast-iron tub than AmeriCast.

This tub is certainly quieter when running a bath than the cast-iron tub before it. We got in Artic White and it looks great with our new tile. We are very happy with it.

I wanted a classic white tub for my 1923 home, and this one looks the part. However, I am not sure why a bathtub of this configuration is even manufactured. I ordered a taller tub, assuming that it would have a deeper basin–my fault for not carefully checking the specs.

This was my first time ever buying a tub, and I’ve learned something from it. Once installed, this tub is difficult to get into because it is so tall, and then the basin is so shallow that I feel like I’m sitting in a bird bath.

The difference in height between the bottom of the skirt and the bottom of the basin means that the bathroom floor is significantly lower than the floor of the tub, which is disconcerting if one isn’t expecting it.

I’m going to replace this immediately; buying it was an expensive mistake.

This tub was the perfect fit for a tight space. It is wide and deep and allows for a nice soak in a smallish bathroom. Very happy!

This is a beautiful tub! It is eat to keep clean, and is very classy looking! I was initially concerned that I went with the smaller size, but I fit perfectly with room to spare! For reference, I am 5 feet 4 inches, tall.

The tub was more beautiful than I expected. I loved it immediately. It has everything I was looking for – smooth curves, perfect angles, composite material, built in overflow, perfect size and very comfortable.

Really love this tub. The shape is elegant, the material is satiny and the size is perfect being not too big and not too small. I am pleased with this purchase.

There is a clear problem with any tub that is designed for both drop in and undermount. I purchased this tub for an undermount installation. I am at the end of this massively expensive project only to find that this tub is not ideal for undermount applications.

The lip slopes down in towards the tub. That is necessary for a drop in so water can find it’s way to the drain. But for an undermount, in order for the weight of the slab sitting on top to not crush the acrylic, the sides around the tub need to be a hair higher.

Well, with the slope, even if the slab sits flush with or on top of the tub lip, the inner slope causes a serious large gap between the tub and decking. Super sucks because this tub is in a steam shower setup so that means all kinds of water will collect in this massive gap and cause serious issues with mold.

Kohler, for the love of God, get better engineers who understand such things. You are way too overpriced for these types of errors in design!.

I would not recommend ordering this bathtub or any product from Kohler! I received this bathtub (1121-R-0) on June 28, 2021 with a factory flaw. How does a Kohler bathtub pass through their quality control and leave the factory with an obvious, visible flaw?!? Does Kohler even have a quality control process in place for outgoing products? I had a very well laid out plan for my bath and kitchen remodel.

The last item that arrived before the demo was to begin was this flawed Kohler bathtub and it was the weak link that brought my remodel to a dead halt, pending replacement. Working with the Kitchen/Bathroom supply store where I purchased the tub from, they sent out a “Kohler certified” repair person twice, but the imperfection was still visible after he was done and there was no guarantee that the tile work that I had planned would cover it.

Since I am paying a lot of money for a bathroom remodel, a visible imperfection is not acceptable to me and doesn’t bode well for the Kohler brand. On July 14th, I requested a replacement tub. I had one delay after another getting the bathtub replaced by Kohler.

I was first told it was going to be on the production line the first week of August, 2021. My order was to be moved to the front of all the other orders for this tub style. I don’t know who dropped the ball at Kohler, but it was dropped.

The tub was finally sent out of the Kohler factory in Texas on August 24th. I requested that the delivery be expedited to my home as my remodel was significantly delayed due to this tub and I was at risk of losing my contractor to a job moving in front of mine, plus I was paying for an unused porta-potty that was delivered in anticipation of the remodel for the contractors.

Kohler used a freight company called YRC and only set up the tub to be sent with standard shipping. It took over 2 weeks to get to the Sacramento delivery port and shortly thereafter to my home. The date of delivery was September 9th.

My project was delayed over 10 weeks due to the visible flaw in this tub and delays in getting it replaced!.

This tub model has quality control issues. I have owned this tub less than a year and have experienced multiple failures of the air massage feature. Several weeks after the tub was installed the bubble function failed.

Kohler was contacted and sent the incorrect part for repair. A new part was ordered and a Kohler technician dispatched and again the wrong part was sent. At this point we were informed that the correct part was on back order and would not be in stock for 4-6 weeks.

This was unacceptable so Kohler agreed to replace the tub. The new tub was received approx. 2 weeks later and installed. The new tub’s bubble massage feature failed as well – this time quicker than the first tube.

The technician was dispatched and the tub was repaired. The tub again failed several weeks later. The technician was dispatched and determined it was the switch. A new switch was ordered but the wrong item was received despite Kohler having the model and serial number.

The new switch was received shortly after and installed and – yep – again the tub failed within less than 3 weeks of new switch installation. Please learn from experience and save yourself a tremendous amount of time, frustration and disappointment.
