The Brooks Dyad 11 is an everyday running shoe with a design that complements flat-footed runners that use orthotics or who are flat-footed. Back with a new upper and the same midsole and outsole, the Brooks Dyad 11 continues to be a great option for those looking for a shoe to accommodate their orthotics.
Additionally, the straight last and low arch structure is perfect for flat-footed runners. What’s new – Added comfort – Improved look Using the same BioMoGo DNA midsole material as the previous model, you should expect a similarly adaptive underfoot feel.
Following tradition, the Dyad 11 features a dual pod outsole which helps reduce the foot’s ability to move from side to side. Brought together with a roomy engineered mesh upper that adds comfort and increases breathability so you can focus on putting in the miles.
The Brooks Addiction GTS 15 lets you spend more time on your feet. For runners and walkers who need cushioned support, the new and improved Addiction GTS 15 now uses Brooksrsquo GuideRailsreg holistic support system.
Similar to bumper rails in a bowling alley, this GuideRail system sits on both sides of your heel and midfoot to align your body with its natural motion path and reduce excess joint movement. A stable base, soft cushion and smooth ride helps with balance and lets you easily transition from walking to running when you feel like going fast.
Comfortable for all-day wear or long walks and runs, the Addiction GTS 15 uses a well-built 3D printed mesh upper with plenty of stretch and structure to avoid rubbing or blisters. The roomy fit and forefoot construction is spacious enough to accommodate orthotics and insoles as well, making it a great option for flat or high-volume feet.
Now even lighter than previous models, the Brooks Addiction GTS 15 has the stability and cushion you need to maintain your daily mileage and exercise.
From hitting a wall to hitting your stride, the Brooks Ghost 14 delivers smooth cushioning to every step. The updated Ghost 14 features full-length DNA Loft midsole foam for the most cushioned feel yet.
DNA Loft foam is super soft and springy for a light, responsive ride as you run. The new midsole foam works with a Segmented Crash Pad for rolling transitions from heel to toe. Brooks designers also tuned the Ghost 14 upper for a more snug, supportive feel up top.
Brooks 3D Fit Print creates a flexible structure that contours to your footrsquos natural movement as you run. This helps the engineered knit mesh hug your foot where you need it, and prevents chafing and uncomfortable rubbing.
Bought these for After a foot surgery to get back to walking. I had a previous styled pair and liked them. Of the several shoes Brooks offers, I like these because they cushion your heel while walking or running.
I’ve tried a bit of jogging and my feet feel fine. I purchased a 1/2 size larger only because of my intermittent swelling foot. It should get me through the next 6 months of healing, as I’ve had the last pair for over a year.
It’s a good long lasting shoe, for someone who is Not a major runner. But I believe they would last at least six months for an avid jogger/runner. Well worth the price tag.
This is my first pair of Brooks, and I’m pleased. I wear size 10 and the fit is perfect. I ordered the Animal Print and I love the look. My young adult son says, “Those are dope”. I just walked three miles and my normally angry feet don’t even realize I’ve moved from the couch.
The only issue I have is that the shoelaces, which are a key feature of the look, don’t stay tied. You could’ve done better Brooks! Now, I have to double knot them. EVEN WHEN I DOUBLE KNOT THEM THEY SOMETIMES COME UNTIED! I’m thinking of getting some kind of sliding holder to keep the laces, but if this was going to be a problem, Brooks should’ve put them on the shoe or chosen a different fabric for the laces.
I’m not sure how it happened but these shoes have grown on me. I’ve heard plenty of rave reviews about Brooks shoes but I’ve never worn them before…honestly wasn’t sure they were worth the price if you weren’t a serious runner.
However I had deal and thought I’d finally take the plunge since I was becoming a serious hardcore walker due to a medical condition. I thought the shoes were comfortable in the store and while not my first choice the color was acceptable (it was only one that had my size in the store and my deal ran out that day).
It has only been a few weeks but I swear they get more comfortable every time I use them and the colors look great! Pleasantly surprised and overall very happy with my purchase.
Known for over twenty years as a runner favorite, these supportive running shoes continue to deliver. Designed to offer a perfect balance of support and softness, the women’s Adrenaline GTS 22 offers a smooth ride plus comfort that’s ready for any run.
Smart support All our running shoes prioritize comfort, but our GuideRails technology adds support by keeping excess movement in check. So you stay in your natural stride, even when you get tired. Soft cushioning Updated midsole is now 100% DNA LOFT cushioning for a soft, smooth ride.
Smooth transitions The new soft midsole and Segmented Crash Pad team up for easier flow from landing to toe-off.
I purchased these for my wife (at her request). She stated that the 22nd version is much more comfortable than the previous. She likes the color especially since the sole is black and does not soil as much.
Our 1540v3 is kitted out with technology that helps deliver mile-after-mile stability and combat overpronation. It’s made with two layers of performance foam that offers superior support and a soft rebound.
Designed with an ENCAP and Rollbar midsole technology, this runner offers rear foot movement control for feet on runs from 5K and beyond.
The Voyage collection features high tech, breathable uppers and open-air layered mesh linings to keep the foot healthy, cool and dry. They are light-weight, soft and provide unmatched comfort. Constructed specifically for rearfoot stability and forefoot flexibility for fluid motion while running.
These technology advanced shoes feature patented, removable Aetrex orthotics and PRS (Presssure Relief System allows for easy customization and comfort by trimming the insole at the areas of pressure) insoles for customization of fit and comfort.
Biomechanically engineered multi-density midsoles provide medial support and stability. In addition, the midsole features a carboplast foot bridge that crosses the shoe for extra control. The outsole features strategically placed pods for floating independent suspension and shock attenuation.
The unique last is semi straight to fit many foot types and provide a comfortable, snug heel fit for stability.
My inner heel on left side has broken down, it gives way when I walk, I wear custom orthotics. My younger brother loves your shoes, I like them but they are not holding up, I have been wondering what to do.
The high arch is what sold the shoe, al of my family has the high arch. What do you have that might be a better choice for me. I walk my dog (a golden lab) daily. If you wonder I am 5’10” and weigh 160 pounds.
Received this tan pair and liked them. Ordered a black pair. Both were charged to my credit card. never got the black pair !!!. Somehow the order got cancelled but both were still on my credit card. Have sent Emails , tried to call several times.
NO ANSWER ! Except to refer back to the tan pair. ONE PHONE CALL WOULD HAVE FIXED THIS !!!.
What do you get when you improve on the already adventurous Superior? A lightweight, lightning-fast shoe you can trust on any trail. This certified speed-seeker is trail-ready with a MaxTrac sticky rubber outsole, the lightweight and responsive Quantic midsole, and the improved upper that’s more locked-in and durable.
Throw in improved breathability, better drainage, and a removable StoneGuard, and the Superior 5 is ready to blaze trail like never before. MaxTracA perfect combination of grip, traction and durability that will eat up gnarly terrain like a boss.
TrailClawCanted lugs positioned strategically beneath the metatarsals to provide traction at toe off. StoneGuardThe sandwiched StoneGuard offers flexible protection from rugged terrain by deflecting rocks for a smooth, stable ride.
QuanticA new midsole cushioning with a perfect blend of plush, responsive cushion and a lightweight ride. InnerFlexGrid-like grooves in the midsole allow your foot to flex while being lighter, for more speed and better performance.
The balance of support, flexibility, and cushion are perfect. I feel the actual muscles in my feet feeling the surface under the shoe and activating accordingly, but with the right support. I did go up a full size, and probably would have done half a size up except that the toe box height is pretty…tight.
Foot type: a tiny bit wider but not wide sized, slightly low arches (not flat footed). Additionally, I actually got these to wear generally because I have a broken ankle (I’m in the stage of being out of the boot but wearing compression socks) and my mush led fee way more activated in this shoe, even more than the other models of altra (and I know you’re not supposed to use these soles on pavement, but…wearing them out is a small price to pay).
Note that I also hiked/jogged on trails in an earlier iteration of these shoes, and the ankle padding and structure isn’t as supportive as these (therefore why I bought these for the ankle recovery) — and also I was a 7 on those but an 8 in these.
One criticism: dang these colors make me feel like a clown. Even the men’s colors are more subtle. Altra, please make a basic black or white. Some people like jewel tones with high contrast in the same shoe, and some people like pink…but I bet most of your customer base would like a classic, basic, neutrally toned option.
First, the positive: these are super cute compared to other versions of the Superior. Great color options, and I really like the overall look. Also, I believe these are true to size. Other reviews are saying these run small, but I wear an 8.
5 in every running and hiking shoe I own, and the 8. 5 fits me perfectly, as far as length is concerned. ( i think there may be confusion among customers because the sizing throughout the last few models has been really inconsistent.
The 4s ran super long). Now for the negative: I’ve been hiking in the Superior since version 2. 0, and I’m sad to say that these don’t have that sock- like, snug, flexible feel that the 2s, 4s, and 4.
5s had. They feel a bit clunky and clumsy, not what I expect from the Superior. Also, i am unable to tighten the laces all the way, because when I do, it causes pain across the top of my foot and numbness.
So, I can’t get that snug feel through the mid foot and my foot is kind of slipping around. I think the discomfort has to do with the way the side reinforcements ( that attach to the laces) do not extend at enough toward the center of the top of the foot.
There is a lot of pressure on top of my foot from the laces, and I would prefer each side of the lace to be closer together – more shoe across the top of my foot, less lace. These are a great looking shoe, and I really wish they had that “signature” superior feel.
Disclaimer: I’m a minimalist running shoe kind of bloke, and I’m running short fast (as I can at any rate) steep runs on technical trails. This shoe’s bloody nigh on perfect. First off, it’s super light, this is a fast shoe.
I have wide feet and the toe box is just right: accommodating but not overly spacious. I love the padded, stitched-in tongue and the softness and pliability of the uppers. With the rear lace eyelet, your foot can be bound in perfectly, snug and secure; the heel box is very supportive too: I have zero fear of the shoe spinning around on my foot or being sucked off by thick mud.
The insole is pretty good too- typically I swap out insoles for superfeet (high arches) but after a few runs in these, I will probably stick with the insole as it comes. The sole is good, there’s feel for the terrain and adequate protection from root and rock, and most importantly the grip seems good on the deep descents.
I have a short distance (about 1/4 mile) of unpaved road on one of my routes, and the shoe’s fine with that but you wouldn’t want to wear these for any sort of road running, that’s not what they’re for! As a dedicated trail shoe, for short hard runs I think this is perfect.
The GEL-EXCITE 8 (Wide) running shoe is designed to provide excellent comfort, whether you’re running five miles or running errands around town. A newly updated silhouette and engineered mesh upper gives this shoe a younger and faster look.
Designed for those who require more room in their footwear, the width in this model is wider for a more accommodating fit. The last is paired with a molded heel section that keeps your foot more centered on the shoe’s platform—offering an even better fit than the previous shoe in the series.
Designed to provide excellent durability, the upper is met with no-sew overlays that increase support while reducing the overall weight. Following a more sustainable design approach, this shoe also uses fewer resources to color the sockliner.
This style offers improved comfort, featuring rearfoot GEL technology cushioning, an AMPLIFOAM midsole, and an OrthoLite sockliner to create a soft and comfortable feeling underfoot. Equipped with a GUIDANCE LINE technology, this technology helps the foot experience a more natural and consistent stride.
Lastly, an injection rubber outsole adds lightness and improves durability, while the strategically placed flex grooves are more flexible when you’re running or wearing casually throughout the day.
My Mom travels for work and she and a colleague were going to spend a few off days in Philadelphia in between meetings. So she asked me where she could find some good walking shoes. I took her to Academy and she tried on 4 different shoes and we have narrow feet so I suggested ASICS brand and I told her they are narrow and last a long time.
She tried them on and loved them She went on her extended trip to PA and loved her shoes. She an ASICS FAN now.
Love Love Love!!! ASICS are the only brand that work for me but I go through them so fast that I’m always on the lookout for a decently cute pair on sale. These shoes were not my favorite but I couldn’t beat the price! Turns out in person they are 20 times cuter than the online pics and I wish I had bought two pairs!!! The have a cheetah print all through the white in the shoe!!! Literally obsessed!!!.
I bought these for an event where I’d be on my feet for 10+ hours three nights in a row. Broke them in a little at the gym a few weeks beforehand. I was still in pain, but way less than I would have been with my usual shoes.
Still comfy and stylish. I appreciate the variety of sizing since it’s so hard to find proper shoes for my wide feet.
Nike Pegasus Trail 3 has the padded comfort as in the previous version, but this time it comes with a design more similar to the classic Pegasus-shoe. In addition it is designed with great traction which makes it specially suited for rocky terrain while increased support around the midfoot ensures a safer running experience.
Nike Pegasus Trail 3 Specifications Trail running shoe 9. 5 mm drop New design similar to the classic Pegasus-shoe Breathable mesh upper Safe fit Increased midfoot support Responsive cushioning Well suited for rocky surfaces Upper The upper is designed in light and breathable mesh ensuring great ventilation for your feet to keep them dry and comfortable.
At the same time is is engineered with a dynamic tape system around the midfoot to increase support which contributes to making a safer running experience when you are running on uneven trail. On the back it is designed with a pull-tab making it easier to get it on and off Midsole Trail 3 is enginnered with Nikes React-foam from heel to toe to provide a responsive and stable cushioning on harder surfaces.
This shoe also works well on asphalt, and it provides a more smooth transition from road to trail. Outsole The durable rubber compound outsole is designed with a wavy pattern inspired by tires from mountain bikes.
At the same time it comes with small lugs providing great traction on both trail and asphalt. In the heel- as well as the toe area it is designed with extra traction to provide the optimal grip when you are running up – or downhill.
First, these shoes are super comfortable. They are generous in width which is a plus for me since I have a wider foot. The extra room also keeps my feet from feeling like they are going to burst out of when flexing and climbing.
Shoes can sometimes pinch my feet in certain spots preventing me from getting much wear out of them. These don’t do that at all. I also like how they give me plenty of support and bounce but still allow me to feel the ground.
That is important for me as I like to feel the changing terrain so that I can adjust my footing accordingly. I can definitely wear these shoes out on the trail all day long. The Pegasus Trail 3 Mens Trail Running Shoes are also super stylish.
The color palette is gender neutral yet still fun. These can be worn out on errands and still look good. I also love the string loop on the back for getting the shoe on. It isn’t the usual loop of fabric that can often be hard for me to get my finger inside to use.
I think what I liked most about these shoes is that they are plenty wide yet still supportive. It really helped make the shoes comfortable and practical while out running. If I had to pick one thing I am a little hesitant about it would be the nose of the shoes.
I am not sure that the rubber will stay well adhered to the fabric if it gets wet often or with a lot of use. If you are looking for a stylish yet comfortable shoes that will allow you to run on various surfaces this one is it! I highly recommend these shoes and can’t wait to get some more runs out of them.

Once upon a time, the max cushioned running shoe was considered something of a curiosity, intended for the highly specialized needs of niche fields like ultramarathoning. That was then. This is now, where the benefits offered by max cushioning are recognized across the running spectrum.
The ultimate application of our signature cushioning technology, the Fresh Foam More offers a pure expression of the Fresh Foam ideal – more miles, more often. The Fresh Foam More Trail v2 offers the pinnacle of plush underfoot cushioning.
This experience starts with a midsole containing the most Fresh Foam in a trail shoe to date, but doesn”t end there. With a Vibram outsole and debris-resistant upper, the Fresh Foam More Trail v2 offers a complete experience, 360 degrees of comfort that retains a natural feel.
So yeah, i think the midsole foam is better than the Altra Olympus 4 and the SPeedgoat 4. Not better than the Hoka EVO speedgoat which i hear is now the midsole of the speedgoat 5. Foam isn’t peppy like some of the Saucony Trail shoes but it’s not muted and muddy like how altra and hoka become down the line.
Now i love those shoes but i do notice they wear in a little less lively, still comfy to go the ultra distance and the outsoles will last forever (due to the vibram megagrip which is also present here).
THIS shoe does an amazing job staying super comfy, cushy, and staying just enough peppy. I only have like 50miles in this show but i’m happy so far. Initially i thought it would be pretty unstable because of the stack height but it’s really not.
I’ve done some more nimble and technical runs on it and its still great. The wide base helps a ton and the lock down feels secure so you’re not freaking out when you step on rounded rocks or pointy rocks.
Love the outsole. ANytime you get vibram megagrip you know you are as prepared as possible for anything to come. I run in the Sandia Mountains in New Mexico so lots of rock, dirt, sand, and mixed conditions.
This is a great shoe option. for the rocky mountains i may do something more like the salomon ultra glide or a la sportiva , but here where theres good trails, sand and dirt , this shoe is perfect. Small thing: i love the laces.
Locking the shoe down feels easy and comfortable. the Altr Olympus i ripped the lacing eyelettes from the side of the shoe because it was so hard to lock down. Here, for now, is easy to yank on the laces and feel secure.
looks very durable so far. Toe bumper seems fine but i haven’t tested it yet with any cactus or yucca. I love the padded heel collar and top of the tongue. Kinda wish the tongue was longer and a fully gusset tongue but its still super comfy.
I’ll probably come back and write another review after i hit 100miles in this shoe. oh last thing, LOVE the yellow colorway.
I have a pair of NB More Trail v1’s and I love them. I have over 300 miles on the v1s and, while they are showing some pretty decent wear, they still support me and feel great, even on long and steep runs.
I bought some v2’s to replace them for a race I am training for, and I am pretty disappointed. From the first time I put them on I could tell that the foam in the V2s is more firm, and the foot bed is more contoured.
This may be a good thing if the contours fit you feet exactly, however mine do not. The first several runs I took in them threatened to give me blisters. With the use of moleskin I have avoided this, and I held out hope that after a full break-in these issues would resolve.
They have not. I have run 30+ miles in the v2s and not only do they feel awkward on my feet due to the overly-contoured nature of the fit, I can still feel the blister spots because of the firmer foam, the cushion that I love from my v1s just isn’t there, and my feet get tired much faster, and hurt significantly when I am done, often for days following the run.
I feel I just can no longer torture myself with these shoes. I like the look and the improved toe protection and the improved dust layer added from v1 to v2, but none of this overcomes the pain in the ball of my feet and the overall strain that these cause me.
I think I have to retire them before even getting 50 miles on them. Big bummer.
I’m a 72 yr old Alaskan who has hiked, climbed, and hunted throughout Alaska and the Lower 48 for 60 years in every type of terrain available from temperate rainforest, to alpine, to glacier, to tundra, to desert, etc.
I’ve had every style and type of hiking and climbing boot, running shoe, and walking shoe imaginable. My feet have taken a beating. I have very high arches, wide feet, and at this point mild bunions on my big and little toes on both feet and arthritis in my big toes.
I need as much cushioning as I can get along with insoles specific to my high arches and with metatarsal support because of arthritis. I just bought a pair of Fresh Foam X More Trail v2 in the wide version and have been walking and hiking in them for a week.
They are, by far, the most comfortable shoe I’ve walked in – period. I use Aetrex insoles memory foam insoles with arch and metatarsal support and the combination is a joy to walk in. The only thing anywhere near comparable for me was a pair of Salomon hiking boots I wore out several years ago.
For those like me who need/want great cushioning in a pair of trail shoes these are excellent! The only improvement for me would be an option for GoreTex as walking in snow let’s in some moisture.

How your foot contacts the ground The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight. Overpronation Foot Type Low arches or flat feet Push Off Big toe and second toe do majority of the work.
How your foot contacts the ground The foot lands on outside of heel, then rolls inward (pronates) excessively, transferring weight to inner edge instead of ball of the foot.
I bought these shoes 3 weeks ago from ASICS. com and have only worn them 5-6 times in casual walking conditions. The padding in the right heel has collapsed, feels crinkled up, and my heel consistently slips out.
Was told by the warranty department that it was from ‘wearing the shoe’, and they would not replace. I have owned more than 20 years worth of gel-kayanos (they are my go-to shoe), also the cumulus and nimbus from time to time, and have never had this happen before.
I love the ASICS brand, but it is quite sad that they will not stand behind their product.
