20 Best Red Lipstick For Olive Skin (2023 Updated)

I received the L’oreal paris, colour rich reds of worth lipstick for free for my honest opinion. I received the lovely red (186) colour. I really enjoyed this lipstick as stated in the description this is non drying and smudgeproof.

This is exactly that, i wore the colour all day and it did not smudge or dry at all. I also like that the formula includes agan oil and vitamin E which is good for lipcare. The colour is a vibrant red that could be seen from the other side of the room, very bright.

The lipstick is comfortable to the touch and is comfortable after aplying. It is not thick like other lipstick which is usually why i dont wear it. I loved this one and will definitely purchase in the future , the colour is just stunning.

I hope you will give this a chance as well.

Beautiful, good quality , great pigmentation, hydrating lipstick. The scent is very delicate a d I like it, but keep in mind / it’s not unscented. The packaging is nice and minimalistic. I like lots of Ga-De products and recommend this one! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.

I placed an order for Color #186, which is the Red Berry, However when I received it, the color was totally different. Not at all as depicted in the shade chart. I paid $32. 00 total which included taxes and shipping.

It’s been such a long time since I have been able to wear lip color. This is such an amazing disappointment.

Loved everything about them other than staying power was not as high as expected. Do you make a top layer that goes over the lipstick to give more stsying power by any chance?

For the lovely lady who is considering purchasing this lipstick: I was really excited to try this lipstick because I generally like Studio Gear products, but I bought this lipstick in True Red (Matte) was immediately disappointed.

The application gave me the impression that it wasn’t very high quality. Very uneven, bad smell, and very sticky (so it does not go on smoothly at all). But on the other hand, I usually leave lipstick marks on my drinks, and this lipstick is not budging! I gave the brand benefit of the doubt and used a kind of unorthodox tactic to give it one last shot: I closed the tube and rolled it around under the heat of my hair dryer just for a few seconds, and with a little bit of heat, the application is a lot smoother.

I’m keeping the lipstick for it’s staying power and because it’s such a true shade, but I think I will continue to hunt for one with a less strenuous application and not such an off-putting smell. Hope that helps!.

I use it daily, however I prefer more coverage as I am 59 with some creases in my lips. I feel this lipstick is suited to a younger crowd. It looked great on my hand and it is very moist. It comes off easily.

I am very careful not to get lipsticks that have animal fat in them from rendering plants. It is so difficult to find a really good creamy lipstick that either doesn’t’ have taste or tastes good that lasts (I don’t expect all day) at least for 3 hours without changing color.

I like something with some body to it. The glosses and sheer lipsticks just don’t stay on and the very nudes are too washed out for mature women. I would love some suggestions! I did not experience any plumping action! I have some that do though so I know the difference.

I have super-sensitive lips – they peel with even high-end lip colors – and this lipstick is the only one I’ve found that consistently works well in all seasons and doesn’t cause problems for me. The color selection is awesome.

I currently own: Bliss, Burlesque, Flirt, First Blush, Drama, and Sweet Baby. Each color is awesome and wears great. Super moisturizing, but doesn’t wear off quickly like many of the other creamy lipsticks do.

I’ve gone exclusive and gotten rid of every other brand. Why mess with what works? I just wish they carried SG in all Ulta stores. Hands down my favorite makeup brand in the store.

I am a huge lipstick junkie and have splurged on a plethora of lip colors that have been discontinued, Tea Rose, Soft Rose, Rose Berry, Toasted Pink, Nude Berry, Pink Nectar, Baby Pink, Tulle, Tulip, Hot Pink, Natural Pink, Pink Kiss, Warm Apricot, Sandwash Peach, Melba Peach, Raspberry, Mango, Redwood, Hollywood Red, Vintage Red, Pink Mauve, Brownie Pink, Pink Martini, and Guava.

I know the brand will continue to evolve with trends but what about the loyal customer. We are the ones that are driving the business but our voices are not being heard and our needs are not being met.

I am well aware of the other formulas but the lip color is what worked best for me and the one I loved but there are barely any colors left from the wide range that was once available. Please open the archives and be the first beauty brand to open a lip lab and relaunch those beloved classic lip colors.

I love, love, love these! I bought all the red, nude, and berry colors (I’m not really a pink person, so I skipped those). I think they are fabulous and comfortable. I do wish the tip had a point like a regular lipstick, but this is a mild issue.

Even the darkest colors are simple to apply, though I do sometimes use a brush. And I love the product, but I think the color naming could be less confusing. It’s based on what they think will flatter certain skintones, not on the depth/brightness of the color.

So, for instance, the Berry med-light is actually a lighter color than the Berry light. And the Red Light is actually a different color (almost coral/orange) not just a different intensity than the Red Med (which is one of my favorites).

The colors in tube are pretty accurate to how they wear on the skin, and the photo images here are pretty true. However, do to the funky color naming, I would suggest you look for online swatches before ordering (Musings of Muse has a nice blog entry where she swatches them ALL.

) These are all really wearable colors, and it would be hard to go wrong with any of them. The texture is that of a balm not lipstick. Slightly hydrating and a little glossy. Feel balmy but not stick on the lips.

Plenty of pigment, not sheer, but the colors themselves aren’t wild bolds. For a balm product I feel they last a really long time (though still less time than matte lipstick).

I have 7 of these, and they are each amazingly creamy, moisturizing, and pigmented. They feel wonderful on the lips — no waxy feel or dryness. When wearing this my lips feel butter smooth but without the slippery mess that other creamy lip tints create.

His is thick enough to stay inside the lip lines and look clean but moisturizing enough to feel like it’s keeping your lips conditioned. The light red is a bright poppy summer red. Light medium pink is a gorgeous vibrant mid-tone classic pink, pretty neutral.

Light medium nude is my favorite — not too brown, and not so light it washes out my pale-light medium skin. It’s the perfect polished neutral nude. Light berry is a pretty light raspberry color. Medium red is a beautiful rich light-ish crimson color safe for any time of day.

Medium berry is a slightly deep, shiny classic berry/mauve/plum shade. Medium nude is nice, but it has more brown than I prefer. Seems more appropriate for fall. These shades are creamy with a rich shine, no shimmer/glitter particles at all.

I did notice that some others I did not buy have small glitter/shimmer particles, which is why I avoided them. A week ago I purchased two of the new Bare Minerals lip oil balms and returned them because they were so emollient and oily they stained my teeth and braces and stained my lips a crazy magenta color.

The Almay ones give me the pigmentation and creaminess without the mess.

As far as I am concerned, Almay hit a home run with this product. I really struggle with dry, parched, peeling lips in the cold weather; and I am constantly looking for products that I can wear on my lips during the day at work that give some color but will also offer moisture.

but I am not looking any more after finding this product. They are so creamy, moisturizing, and pleasant to apply, feel good on the lips but don’t have a heavy slick balm feel, and the colors are just beautiful.

I have the red medium and nude medium; both lovely but the red is spectacular – would strongly recommend you try it if your skin tone can handle it. Since they are so moisturizing, don’t expect long staying power and you will need to reapply through the day; but since they feel so nice to apply, what’s the problem with that? 🙂 also I would suggest using a mirror to apply the darker shades, there is enough pigment in them that you can’t just swipe on without looking.

The price is right for these, too, and I would definitely pay more for them if I had to, seriously these are that good. These are selling fast, don’t miss your opportunity to try this amazing Almay product.

I picked this up a few months ago in two different colors when they were on clearance at Walmart for like $2, didn’t expect too much from it but was very surprised! It’s my new favorite lipstick. If the matte style isn’t for you, a simple lip gloss or even lip balm looks great over it.

It stays strong through drinking, eating, and even a little kissing! The only “downside” is that it is quite matte, so I usually put lip balm on under it and over. It works great for day wear or for an event, as I hardly ever have to reapply when using it.

Amazing quality and super easy to apply, it stays wet for longer than other matte lipsticks so you have time to layer/touch up before it dries. I only need one swipe for my top lip, and another one for my bottom, so it goes a long ways.

I have the tea rose color and I wear it almost daily, its such a beautiful color. For a full price of $6 it is really good quality, durability, long lasting, very pigmented, and the selection of colors is great!.

I bought 4 different Bold Lip colors from Reina Rebelde when they had a sale. I love the idea of supporting an independent, Latina-owned brand and the colors did not disappoint. This hot pink shade in particular is beautiful and vibrant! Perfect to stand out.

I like the “giant pencil” applicator because I feel I don’t need a separate lip liner. Would recommend this shade and any other of the Lip Color Sticks.

Love this lip color so much! It’s the perfect fall shade and I love the name! I got the shade “xicana” and it’s a true brown shade. This lipstick has a great consistency (creamy and easy to apply) and amazing color payoff! You only need one swipe! I ate and drank with this lipstick without having to touch it up, and it felt comfortable all day! A great value too! The only only thing is there’s a slight synthetic smell, but it’s not too bad!.

This bold lip color is called “La Jefa” and it’s the BEST mauve lipstick I have ever purchased! It glides on your lips with ease and color no streaking! You don’t have to go over a bunch of times to get the full pay off of color.

I will eat my breakfast or lunch or drink something and I don’t have to worry because my lipstick is still there. I don’t have to be worried about looking like the joker after. I chose Rooi because it looked like a darker red color, which was what I wanted. Unfortunately, it was closer to bright pink than dark red. I’m disappointed.

Bringing back the funk post-covid lockdowns with a bang! goodbye to masks and hello colour. I once over-enthusiasticly had applied this one day before heading to the City Centre, forgetting that we still had to wear masks on public transport, but it wasn’t too bad.

did stain the inside of my mask a bit, but didn’t smudge on my face, thankfully! removed the stain from reusable mask with Clinique makeup remover balm. perfect.
