There are many foundations on the market that are marketed as being good for mature skin, but it can be tough to know which one is right for you. The best way to find out is to ask for a sample from the makeup counter or department store, and test it out at home.
Another good option is to consult with a makeup artist or esthetician, who can help you find a foundation that will work well with your mature skin type.

So I’m new to buying expensive foundation and didn’t know which to try. I have combo skin (oily t-zone, dry everywhere else) so I looked into Foundations that were supposed full coverage & were good for dry, combo skin.
I usually wear drug store foundation but as i do makeup on social media like ig & tiktok (Guerita_Rdgz, mostly eyeshadow bot other makeup mini tutorials) figured i needed to try out some expensive foundations.
After going through hundreds of reviews not knowing which to choose and feeling somewhat overwhelmed by so many foundation options but not wanting to spend a crap ton I purchased, Anastasia Beverly hills, Patrick Starr, both nars (this one & the luminating foundation) & kosas! I actually waited abt a month giving all the foundations an equal shot with the same primers to see what worked best for me.
Out of all 5 Foundations the best ones that were truly full coverage and made my makeup look great, lasted all day. didnt make me oily considering i didnt get a matte foundation, and worked well with moisturizing spf, and 2 diff primers on top of my skin was this Nars foundation & the Patrick Starr foundation.
Abh was a good runner up. I didn’t care much for the other two, as they seemed more like a skin tent. If you don’t want full coverage I’m sure those work fine but i wanted full coverage. I will repurchase this one again, I usually wear drug store and I can say some of those were better than the other two Foundations for a third of the price (wet & wild photo focus, milani conceal & perfect, revlon colorstay, Maybelline super stay, Maybelline fit me, elf flawless finish) Overall this particular foundation is one of my favorites to use, I don’t get oily with this foundation as others have stated it makes them oily I didn’t find that to be an issue for me & I have a really oily t-zone as long as I used a setting spray right after applying my foundation & then i used a good setting powder.
If I could give ‘half credit’, I would give this foundation a 3. 5. It is a good every day foundation with a decent shade range, but there are a couple issues I have that make it not a favorite: 1. Shades run quite pink or yellow.
For someone like myself with a solidly neutral undertone, it is going to be difficult to find the perfect shade. Deauville works, but I have other complexion products in my small collection that match my light, neutral skin better than this.
2. The word “glow” is misleading. This has more of a natural to matte finish, at least on my combination-leaning-dry skin. 3. I find it to look a little cakey on me, even though I always prep my face with moisturizing skincare.
But, if I mix some moisturizer in with the foundation itself, it applies well and looks pretty on my skin. I will use it up, as it has a nice shelf life of 24 months, but probably won’t repurchase. On the other hand, I would recommend this for someone that wants a medium coverage foundation with a natural finish and has an obviously cool pink or warm yellow undertone.
In NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation, I wear the shade ‘Oslo’ so I purchased the same shade in Sheer Glow. This has been a good match, suits my skin tone perfectly. I love this foundation, it looks very natural with sheer coverage.
Unfortunately I do have a huge issue with the fact this foundation DOES NOT come with a pump. I was aware of this before purchasing, but it’s put me off for a long time. I absolutely hate this, for the price of this foundation why can’t NARS just include the pump and a cap as they do for the Natural Radiant Longwear? I purchased the NARS foundation pump for it and while it does fit and work fine, I think the bottle would look nicer with the cap on.
The cap cannot be used as it does not fit over the pump. This is seriously the worst thing about this foundation, you essentially have to pay extra for a pump to be left with a completely useless cap, what a complete waste NARS?.
Barepro Performance Wear Liquid Foundation SPF 20 provides natural looking full coverage-and so much more. This is heat, humidity, water and sweat-resistant foundation that provides broad spectrum non-chemical SPF 20 / PA++ sun protection, which is essential in preventing premature aging of the skin.
The luxuriously creamy liquid contains bamboo stem extract for a naturally matte, soft focus finish, while papaya enzymes gently improve skin’s texture both immediately and over time, with good-for-skin ingredients that won’t clog pores.
Wow. That’s all I can say. Pros- – wide color range with pictures distinctly labeled warm , cool, neutral, making it very easy to find your perfect color – unlike most long wearing foundations, this doesn’t look chalky, thick, or mask like.
It ends up looking like skin not like a thick layer of makeup applied to your face. -I have combination skin that’s very easily dried out and then gets flaky and oily, I bought a dewy setting spray from Walgreens to give this a nice satin finish.
If your skin is normal you will probably get the satin finish from this alone. Ten years ago I tried the bare minerals powder and a tube lipstick that was shown. I did not care for the lipstick, it went on with an uneven texture, didn’t have a nice finish, and didn’t wear well.
The powder foundation was much too yellow and didn’t look nice on my combination skin that’s often much to dry for anything other than a cream. You guys have really stepped it up with bare pro and the mineral liquid lipstick! Blown away by the color selection you offer that includes everyone.
It is so frustrating when a brand does not even make a color that works for you. I am fair and cool, there’s a lack of these shades in the market. The shade shell matched perfect.
The circumstances for when I first got this foundation we’re totally a coincidence. I had gotten a BareMinerals gift of another one of my favorite products in a shade that was too dark. Prom was also coming up and I needed a foundation that would keep me matte and look good in pictures.
So I went to the BareMinerals store and asked if they had any matte foundations, to which I discovered this. Never have I loved a foundation more. I have combo oily skin and this keeps me so so matte, but with a perfectly natural finish.
The way my skin looks in this is like a “your skin but better” product. My oily mother normally sticks to the products she’s used for years, but the minute she tried this we both had to run out and buy it for our summer and winter shades.
It’s AMAZING!! I couldn’t even understand why it didn’t have all 5 stars, but I’m assuming that it is probably a better foundation for oily skin (like most matte foundations are). I use this on top of the Combo Control Milky Face Primer also by BareMinerals, and the compliments for perfect skin don’t stop coming (and I have some major acne scarring, so I’m far from perfect😭).

I received this in the Classic Ivory shade after taking a best guess to match my shade and it has not disappointed at all! Since the start of the Covid 19 Pandemic I had been working from home, then on maternity leave and have yet to return to the workforce so my makeup use drastically declined and I had not purchased anything new in a long time but I have definitely found my new go to! It was so quick and seamless to apply after my skincare, the application was incredibly smooth and the colour matched perfectly.
I feel like I could have even not added a setting powder but I did out of habit but quickly realised I didn’t use concealer, which is generally need for my mum eye bags and fine lines, but they were nowhere to be seen.
I am so impressed with this product and will definitely be using this as a part of my daily routine as it was as quick as putting moisturiser on, I can skip the concealer and will be able to apply this so easily with an active toddler – something which previously was not an easy feat.
I got the smoothest application with my usual routine of using a beauty blender dampened with prep and prime spray and could not believe my eyes when I saw how smooth, flawless and fast this process was! I had found myself in an extremely basic skincare routine since having my daughter and have only done my makeup a handful of times, which was a huge leap out of my comfort zone and is still something that plays in the back of my head when I am out with her with no makeup – I am definitely all for natural looks and loving the skin you are in, nit it was a hard habit to break and insecurity to overcome, so I am genuinely so happy to have found a product that I can incorporate into my routine so effortlessly.
This product not only was a dream to apply, but it feels weightless and so comfortable, like I am not wearing anything, yet it is giving me that boost I need to get out and enjoy myself without worrying about the fine lines that are starting to make an appearance or the underlying redness in my face and concerning myself that I look like a guy mess Mama instead of one who’s in control! This product lasted the day, lasted my toddler, and removed clean and easily not leaving my skin feel worn out or dry after a day of makeup.
There is no way I’d not recommend this product to everyone I know who is chasing the foundation that not only applies well but lasts the day, doesn’t feel harsh on their skin and meets all the benefits that the product offers – and blows them out of the water.
I have spent a lot of money on a range of foundations to find something so good and I can say with all honestly, this has surpassed any expectations and will quite easily be a part of my new daily routine as a product I know I can trust to work well for me.
What an absolute pleasure to be given the chance to try the Covergirl Simply Ageless 3-in-1 foundation for Beauty Crew. This is my first ever Covergirl foundation that I have tried so it was an exciting one to start my journey into the Covergirl brand.
When being offered the chance to try this foundation we were asked which colour we would like to trial. I always find this part of a makeup trial the hardest. Choosing a colour off a website is difficult and I am always apprehensive that I will completely choose the wrong colour.
I was absolutely thrilled when the 220 Creamy Natural colour I chose was a perfect match! This foundation Is a Covergirl + Olay product and I absolutely LOVE the addition of the hyaluronic complex and Vitamin C that is infused in this product.
The foundation is a medium coverage which is easily buildable. I have applied with my fingers, and a dense foundation brush, and I enjoyed both applications. I feel that I have a fuller coverage if I apply with my Sigma foundation brush but if I am in a rush, finger application is great.
If you are sensitive to fragrance this foundation may not be the best for you as it does have quite an obvious fragrance. I was super impressed with how this foundation worked over my skincare, and every challenge I subjected it to it performed extremely well.
I had no issues with pilling and my foundation looked great at the end of the day regardless as to whether I had used a makeup primer or not. I am already planning my makeup and skincare travel options for a trip to Europe next year and this is seriously on the list due to its great performance and that it is in a plastic pump pack.
No issues with the chance of a smashed foundation bottle and it is much lighter to pack aswell. Thank you for the chance to discover this beautiful Covergirl product. It may be my first, but it will definitely not be my last!.
I received this as a sample and ordered the natural beige shade as I have fairish colored skin. When using this I still applied my normal moisturizer with spf before applying. I applied using a brush and only had to use a little bit as it spread quite a lot.
A sponge would soak this foundation up too much as it is quite thin and you wouldn’t get the same coverage. The natural beige color has got a pinkish tint to it. For the first couple of days I used a powder over the top as I was worried it wouldn’t last all day being so thin, however on the third day I went without the powder and it lasted the full working day.
I love how little I need to use, I definitely dislike using a foundation which feels caked on. This glides on with my brush easily, smoothly and lightly just like a moisturizer. The pinkish tint I wasn’t used to as an overall color on my face, but after a couple of days I enjoyed the color it brought to my face which I could change in areas with some different colored blushes.
Being an older woman this foundation definitely smoothed out creases around my eyes, chin and nose area. It felt good applying this foundation and didn’t give me that dry and claggy feeling on my skin.
To remove this in the evening took little effort and after a few days of use my skin still felt fresh and not dry from use. The size of the bottle it comes in is small and is a pump style bottle. Don’t underestimate the size as when using this foundation you will only use a small amount each time which will see this bottle last for a very long time.
This coincides with the retail price which is very reasonable for what you get. It really is a bargain for the combination of what is included. Olay has been around for a long time and I have used Olay products before which worked well with my skin so having this rolled into a foundation is definitely an added bonus for our skin.
The firmness part of this foundation I haven’t really felt this early on, but with the elements of this foundation I may notice this after using it for a prolonged period rather than a short time of a week.
Overall the look of this foundation and how it feels on my skin has already shown some positives. The lightness of it is probably my favourite thing about this product. It’s hard to find a great foundation that works for a fair skinned person and one who is in her mid fourties.
This has made me feel younger and feel like I’m not wearing much makeup. This foundation is definitely a keeper for me and an added bonus is the fragrance it has when you put it on. It’s very fresh. For an older woman this is definitely a foundation I will be continuing to use.

I’ll I can say is WOW! I finally found the perfect foundation for me! It’s been many many years struggling with acne (adult acne) and sensitive combo skin. Almost everything makes me break out, is too pigmented or drying on the flaky parts of my face, or is too hydrating and just slips off in others.
This month alone I’ve been buying, trying, and returning countless foundations, BB creams, CC creams, and tinted moisturizers. This one takes the cake! I check every product before I use it (reviews and by each ingredient) to see if it’s safe for me and this one passed the test.
It goes on flawlessly, can easily be built up for fuller coverage (plus the concealer, which is also amazing) or lightly patted in with a wet sponge for light medium coverage. I hate make up that looks like it’s make up.
This stuff is like a second skin and has just the right amount of sheen to it. It also doesn’t settle into my fine lines over the day. Just make sure to lightly set with a powder or setting spray. And oh, the color match!!! I have never been able to find a shade that works for my fair skin.
I finally did with the color Breeze. I freaking love this stuff. My only complaint is that I wish it had more SPF and that their was either more in the bottle or cost less.
Even Better Makeup is my favorite, Holy Grail foundation! I am shade Fair, and it is a perfect match for my light, cool-neutral skin tone. I am 40, and starting to gravitate to more anti-aging products, and this foundation is one that any age can wear, in my opinion! This will be my one and only from now on.
It gives me such a youthful, smooth look that isn’t overly “made up”. I am combo/oily-skinned, and this doesn’t dry me out or make me look too shiny; it’s perfect- just nice, smooth skin! I tried the Even Better Clinical foundation and returned it, and went back to this original formula- in my opinion, the more matte look that one offers isn’t flattering on aging skin.
I instantly noticed that I look more youthful with the medium, natural coverage that this original Even Better foundation offers. I highly recommend this foundation to anyone! Thank you, Clinique! Please always keep this foundation around, it looks like a lot of people love it!.
I’ve never tried anything Clinique before and wow have I been sleeping on this. I’ve been on the hunt for months to find a replacement for Tarte’s Water Foundation (RIP). I’ve been unsuccessful so far, but I’ve finally landed on this and I think it’s a win.
Not a dupe for the water foundation, but it has a lot of the same qualities I look for in my every day makeup. Light, applies smoothly, minimal transfer, and a decent shade range. I apply mine with a makeup brush and it literally glides on.
A makeup sponge or fingers work too, but I prefer the brush application. This is a light-medium coverage, though leans more medium. I would not recommend this if you’re looking for full, dramatic makeup coverage.
I have dry, acne-prone skin and this keeps my skin moisturized and does not break me out at all! It’s honestly a miracle (seriously, look through my reviews and you’ll see just how many things break me out).
This melts into my skin and doesn’t lift when I apply other products on top of it. I’m hooked and I only wish I’d bought it sooner!.
A flawless, glowing base is just a few sweeps away with the Future Skin Foundation from Chantecaille, a philanthropic French brand known for using uniquely high concentrations of natural botanicals. Boasting an ultra-light, oil-free texture that feels refreshing upon application, the foundation offers customisable coverage that’s buildable to your liking, while light-reflecting pigments impart a radiance that draws attention away from any imperfections or areas of discolouration.
The formula contains 60% water and is infused with Aloe Leaf and Camellia Sinensis extract, working to moisturise skin whilst also providing coverage. Available in a wide spectrum of shades to suit every skin tone.
Free from phthalates, sulphate detergents, mineral oil, petrolatum, palm oil, synthetic colours/fragrances and GMOs. Vegan. Cruelty-free; no animal testing.
Being 38, with temperamental skin – very oily and claggy much of the time, combo/slightly dry in spits during winter, and given the whole barefaced beauty movement that came out of the pandemic, I was after a natural-looking foundation that wouldn’t settle into fine lines and ideally, would last.
This foundation definitely ticks all the boxes for lighter than air, refreshing texture, natural coverage and suitability for most skin types. It applies very unevenly and streaks at first but magically, imperceptibly, it blurs and partially dried down to a very natural satin finish.
It’s cruelty free too – which was a massive draw for me. But there is a real technique to applying this. I get the best results with no primer at all. Perhaps to get the gel to actually adhere to the skin? You must set this with powder and despite the use of a setting spray, sadly this does not last the day.
It doesn’t settle into most lines barring a stubborn single marionette-like line I’ve had since I was 6. It smells and feels so lovely and fresh but it is alas, too expensive for what essentially looks and feels like a lovely, light (certainly not medium) coverage tinted moisturiser.
Yes it layers well but if you want something quick and foolproof, this is not for you. Am I glad I tried it (Shea for reference) – absolutely. Would I purchase again? Sadly no. The search for natural looking medium-buildable coverage foundation continues….
So, I bought this during lock-down accidentally in a shade wayyyy too dark, and I’ve always been too lazy to return items. But, I knew it was an interesting one from my first swatch, and it matched my mum a lot more, so I now use it on her when she wants me to do her make up, and man, it looks so good on mature skin.
Like, it doesn’t look artificial at all, I’ve never seen anything like it. I finally bought it for myself a few weeks ago, and I’m so glad I did. It is truly the perfect everyday foundation. If you’re looking for something you can build into full coverage, this won’t be it.
It applies like the most exquisite facial moisturiser so only use your fingers. It is extremely hydrating and leaves the most beautiful finish, but would not recommend for nighttime use unless you’re going to the movies or something.
I can see myself using this for the rest of my life. 100% worth the money.
I accumulated quite a few high end foundations recently and it was high time to ditch those which were a waste of space in my cupboard. There were big disappointments there : Suqqu‘s creme foundation had to go – looks pasty and sits in my pores.
So did Cle de Peau‘s Radiant Crme Foundation, which was neither creamy, nor radiant ! (their TheFoundation is great though !). The winner is Chantecaille’s Future Skin Gel foundation – honestly I don’t know why I bought it… It’s an „oil free gel“ foundation – not the first choice for my mature, dry skin.
It‘s called matt – while I like my foundation dewy (and matt is usually deadly for mature skin…), but this one is easy to apply (I dabbed it with a sponge), you can easily build it up and looks still totally natural.
My skin feels comfortable and plump, even after 5 hours of application (without primer). And Vanilla is the perfect shade for my mid-fair skin. Thank you, Chantecaille !.

Reviews From Real Customers
This foundation creates a very beautiful natural finish no matter what I use for application: Fenty Precision Makeup Sponge, or fingers, doesn’t matter. I prefer a very light coverage application, so I cannot say how this would hold up if I needed fuller coverage.
It’s just barely scented, and inoffensively. It sits well by itself or with a setting powder over it (I use MAC Blot). I tend towards oilier, so the powder helps it last a lot longer. Even without powder, it doesn’t clog my pores, nor does it look like it’s separating throughout the day (in fact it looks surprisingly glowy after some oil starts appearing by early afternoon).
It does start moving and collecting around the nose once the oiliness sets in late day, but no foundation is impervious to that. I would highly recommend this to anyone with normal, combination, or oily skin.
I’m fairly on top of exfoliation, so I cannot say if this has ever clung to dry patches (though I find that no foundation holds up if you have dry skin, so I would be amazed if this was an exception).
Application goes on very smoothly. This is NOT a thick formula, nor does it run like a watery tint. It’s more moist than MAC or NARS Foundations, in my experience, but not quite a hydrating lotion. It doesn’t tend to dry before I’m finished applying, and I live in a very dry climate.
I have not worn this during a hot sweaty humid summer yet, so I cannot review for that climate. Currently it is a crisp and dry autumn, and it’s holding up well throughout day and evening wear.
Overall I’m disappointed with this famous foundation. I’d tried it by using samples over the years but I bought my first bottle about a month ago for a special occasion. I bought it to be photographed in.
The good things about this: it has a lovely finish; fresh and smooth, and the shade 6. 0, Medium Olive, is a match for my difficult to match skin. It does look great in photos, but not necessarily better than my other foundations.
I am extremely disappointed in the wear-time of Luminous Silk. I’m spoiled, because my go-to foundation for years has been Estée Lauder Double Wear (Tawny). But, frankly, I get better wear (and coverage) from Clinique Even Better Clinical Serum, and NARS Sheer Glow (the foundation most similar to Armani for me) lasts longer than Luminous Silk, and has a more radiant finish! I feel like I’m missing something…this foundation is iconic…but, in my opinion, it’s way, way overpriced.
I need to use concealer with this and it’s the first time in my life I’ve ever used concealer. I find the finish of Double Wear to be more beautiful on my skin. People compliment my skin all the time when I use it.
In a month of using Armani the closest I’ve had to a compliment is someone told me I looked tired one day. Since this foundation is so lauded, I expected it to be something with exceptional performance and appearance.
On my skin it doesn’t hold a candle to Double Wear. For “radiant” foundation NARS Sheer Glow is more beautiful on me, and for “natural”, I prefer Clinique Even Better serum. For perfect skin, Double Wear can’t be beat.
I had to try this, and I’m glad I did. I’m also glad I honestly prefer other foundations. This is overpriced, and something in it makes me break out when I use it daily.

Radiant serum foundation evens t1 providing natural, radiant coverage that doesn’t settle into fine lines. All the benefits of a radiant foundation with the added advantage of all day hydration and SPF 50.
So, influenster wouldn’t let me choose the correct shade to review. But anyway, I really wanted to love this foundation!!! And I do really love the formula, the natural skin finish, etc. BUT it oxidizes soooo bad.
Not only that, but I’ve only been able to find it online. And even if it were in store I’d still have this issue. It is so hard to even find your correct shade in the first place unless you have a store with testers, which I don’t.
Anyway, Loreal has no description for each shade which would make it a lot easier to find your shade if they did! You only know what is gold vs pink because of some of the names of the shades. Can’t figure out which are neutral, unless it’s the ones that say natural in the shade name.
Either way, it’s super hard to find a shade due to the lack of descriptions, but also because, once again, the foundation oxidizes like crazy! It’s unfortunate because this could’ve and would’ve been a wonderful foundation if not for those 2 inconveniences.
😞 I may keep trying to find a shade match but I’m not sure. I did give the 2 stars based solely on the formula of the foundation.
Really lovely foundation! One of the only ones I can apply quickly with just my fingers vs needing a sponge to blend. I have dry skin, and redness in my cheeks from rosacea. The coverage is light to medium, and it’s definitely hydrating.
I do a full skincare routine underneath and don’t have issues with pilling or anything. I usually set lightly with powder, just so it’s not sticky feeling. I love the 50 spf, although I still apply separate spf underneath since I prefer a light layer of foundation.
Because of the more liquid consistency, if I put too much on it does settle into lines, but I’ve found if I use less I still get the coverage I want and it doesn’t do that.
Providing long-lasting, 15-hour staying power, Estee Lauder Stay-in-Place Makeup provides an enduring foundation that keeps going on and on through heat, humidity and activity. This natural looking makeup provides a semi-matte finish that won’t change colour over time, smudge after application or come off on clothes.
It just provides a long-lived flawless look that won’t deteriorate throughout the day.
I have combo skin, as the day goes on oily in the T zone and the rest of my face is normal to dry. I hated this foundation because it was drying and heavy makeup-y looking on the skin until I found a different way to use it (mix it).
First of, I’ve been on a foundation hunt ever since EL double wear light hydra foundation was discontinued (it was my ride or die) and I’ve spent hundreds of dollars trying to find something that made me feel good in my skin and the task had been hard, and finally I looked over at the original EL double wear collecting dust and how everyone loves it I was like what do I have to lose, I gave it another chance in a different way.
Most important thing to do first is to prep and hydrate the skin. I use the Neutrogena Naturals Multi-Vitamin Nourishing Moisturizer and Mario Badescu Facial Spray my fav is the Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea.
Let that sink in a little into the skin. And here the my magic key mixture that gave me beautiful with the EL double wear. MIX the foundation with a drop of the Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex Serum (I use a makeup palette and spatula , on pump of foundation and a drop of serum and mix very well! Add less serum to see how you like it because you can always add more , Vs take away ).
With the mix, The foundation becomes hydrated and so smooth to apply and looks just like skin ! Also, I love the EL shade range they blend beautifully with the skin so foundation looks seamless. This was a game changer.
My skin isn’t drying in this anymore and it has a healthy natural finish. The longevity is completely kept intact with the serum just like EL double wear is famous for and it’s just perfect combination.
Please try this if Double Wear has not worked before for you. Shade: 1N1 but I will be ordering 1N2 as this one is just a hint too light. The serum I had as a sample. This is why it’s so small. I will be ordering a bottle of it.
This is my BY FAR FAVORITE foundation. I’ve come back to review this for the 2nd time now, last time was in November after using for a month to see how I liked it and wanted to see if it would break me out before reviewing, etc.
but I’ve just been unable to find another foundation like this one! To start off, I have really dry, eczema skin. but if you use a moisturizer and some setting spray on your face before putting this on, you will be fine if your skin is like mine.
So, I had run out of this foundation at the beginning of the year, I should’ve ordered when I was getting low but I was unaware that they don’t carry this one in the ulta stores, so I finished off the remainder of this too faced foundation I had (not the same but works good) and that started getting low so I went into my local ulta to see if I could maybe find something similar to it.
Nothing similar but a worker recommended a Smashbox matte foundation for me since I have dry skin. and I returned in within 2 days because I just couldn’t. it enlarged my pores and had barely any coverage at all.
So I was out of town and went and visited another ulta, hoping I could return that one and find this foundation, they didn’t have it either! So I settled with too face again but got a shade too dark.
So now I have to return yet again (ulta is about to be sick of me lol) but I’m almost thinking about returning this, and going foundationless for a while until I can order this and have it come in the mail.
Too faced is great, don’t get me wrong it’s definitely my 2nd choice, but nothing seems to compare to this foundation and will always be my favorite. It can withstand heat, humidity and sweat, all while making your face look flawless (not exaggerating).
My forever favorite. I would never come back and review something for a 2nd time. but now that I’m without it and have had to the other foundations again, I am seeing that I need to not go without this foundation again!.

A new generation skin care foundation with buildable coverage for an instantly flawless, natural result and an even more beautiful skin, day after day. Comes in a wide array of shades to color match all yellow, pink & neutral undertones.
I initially bought this in 4N a few months ago, and it was too light so I didn’t use it. I decided to pick up 2 more shades during the Sephora sale: 11. 5P and 10N. I didn’t open 10N, but I can say 11.
5P is slightly darker than Fenty 120 yet it worked out really well for me. Unfortunately, the shade match is the only good thing I can say about this formula. I don’t know why, but this foundation hates my skin and refused to blend into it.
I tried this formula with and without primer, and tried different primers (Tacha silk canvas, NYX marshmallow, Milani No-Pore Zone, Milk Hydrogrip) but this doesn’t look good on my skin. It refused to melt into my skin, regardless of whether I used a brush or sponge.
Even my favorite foundation brush left it looking like a weird mask sitting on my skin that would move around and get patchy. It sunk into my pores and clung to texture I didn’t know I had, but would slide off of other surfaces.
It immediately creased and settled into fine lines. This doesn’t happen with any other foundation I have tried, and I couldn’t make it look good. My skincare was the same as always, and I waited about an hour after doing so to apply my foundation.
I even tried blotting off any excess product before applying primer and foundation, but it was still awful. The best it ever looked was the last time I used it, because I tried to blot it down before setting it with my normal Huda powder.
Most of the foundation lifted with the blotting paper, except for the weird bits that wanted to stick to my pores and surprise texture. I have extremely oily skin, and it’s pretty common for me to have a foundation with a radiant or dewy finish crease or break apart within 2 hours.
Not this foundation, I couldn’t even finish my makeup! I had high hopes because I’ve seen and read reviews that say this foundation works even for oily skin types. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t like my face.
I have never been so unsatisfied with a product to come back and write a 1 star review, but here we are. I loved their old formula- it was the perfect coverage, the shade blended perfectly into my skin tone.
I don’t wear a full face of foundation often, especially now that hospital workers are wearing masks daily as part of their required uniform. But since buying this foundation and letting the worker color match me – I get angry and disappointed every time I put this foundation on.
It ruins my getting-ready process on my most important days. Of course, the “closest matching color” makes my skin look very orange in the sun light. The foundation feels heavy like it would provide a good amount of coverage, but in actuality does a very poor job.
I have to use a second foundation every time to balance the shade and match my face. I’d have returned it if I didn’t go also a couple months between buying the foundation and actually getting to wear it.
I’m just angry at this point and tired of putting on a full face of foundation in hopes of it magically working out for me each time, just to scrub it all off minutes later. I also hate that it keeps a wet feeling, even if I put a translucent powder on top of it.
It makes my face feel gross, and I always end up going without foundation.
I am trying Sephora’s Best Skin Ever Liquid Foundation (11. 5 P) for the first time. I had been using Even Better Glow Light Reflecting Makeup Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 by Clinique for quite a few years (and they are discontinuing it) and was looking for a replacement product.
I have fair/light skin with lots of dark spots and sun damage. I don’t wear a lot of makeup or products and mostly enjoy tinted moisturizers. That being said, I decided to try this foundation based on the many positive reviews! I give this foundation four stars (one star off as I don’t love it) for the range of colors that could match my skin tone/issues.
It wears very light and I like that and is medium coverage which I preffer. I normally can get away with moisturizing prior to foundation products but with this foundation I discovered it’s not good over top a moisturizer so I tried without moisturizer and it stayed on much better (without marks or uneven blending).
I have sensitive combination skin (drier with age) and sometimes break out. I had a few blemishes and this covered it well without the need for a lot of concealer. I will probably buy it again. We will see.
What it is: An air-light foundation with that illuminates, smoothes, hydrates, minimizes pores and reduces wrinkles for beautiful skin. Who it’s for: Ideal for those with dry, normal and combination skin types.
What it does: A pool of youth-boosting actives help give you a gorgeous baby-skin effect, smoothing and evening out skin tone. Its formula lasts for 18 hours while stimulating epidermal renewal by kick-starting collagen production, delaying the onset of wrinkles and creating the perfect makeup base.
It also features SPF 15 to help protect your skin from photo-aging. How to use: Begin by shaking well, then squeeze a small amount onto the back of your hand. Using a foundation brush or your fingertips, blend into your skin from the middle outward, creating a daytime, tinted moisturizer look.
For evening, use the same technique but pat onto areas where you need extra coverage. In the summer, you can also extend the foundation to your body to even out imperfections. 1. 3 oz. Leaping Bunny–certified for a commitment to cruelty-free testing Made in Italy.
I want to start off by saying that I LOVE CT products. I have been eyeing this foundation forever and finally ordered it. I have fair/light skin with yellow undertones so I got shade 1. 5 but when I received the product and tested it out it was DARK ORANGE.
The color did not match the photos on the product page at all. Way too dark for my skin and the tone was totally wrong. For me it’s completely unwearable, warranting a 1-star rating, but I still gave two stars because although I can’t attest to the formula, I have to assume it is superb based on other CT products.
I will be returning this and ordering the lightest shade even though the undertones described sound so wrong for my complexion but I’m still really hoping to find a win here. My usual go-to foundations are MAC Studio Radiance Face and Body in shade C1 and Bareminerals Complexion Rescue in shade Birch.
Light Wonder Foundation , £34. 00. When I wear this foundation I use shade 1 Fair which is for fairest skin with neutral undertones as I am very pale and usually wear the fairer shades. Light Wonder is the type of foundation you would pick if you wanted a sheer to light coverage foundation with a glowy finish.
This was one of the first glowy base foundations from Charlotte but I would say due to the sheerness this foundation is almost like tinted moisturiser. I tend to use this product when I want something as close to my natural skin that can be used to even my complexion but almost look like I’m not wearing anything.
So if you like your foundation to look as natural as possible this would be your perfect match.
Nars’ first 16-hour foundation has a lightweight, breathable, fade-resistant formula and features medium-to-full, buildable coverage in 33 skin-matching shades to fit all skin tones and undertones. The transfer-resistant, sweat-resistant formula stays colour-true all day, and continues to look fresh and vibrant, as if it was just applied.
This formula features superior blendability for an imperceptible effect that looks natural, like skin. It doesn’t look or feel cakey, heavy, drying, or masking. A unique combination of translucent base with micronised amino acid-coated pigments and mineral tone-balancing powders mimic skin’s tone, fusing with it for the closest match.
Nars’ Skin Optimising Complex—a blend of raspberry, apple, and watermelon extracts—helps support skin’s elastic fibers to smooth and improve skin’s appearance over time for optimal radiance. Dispense one pump or a pearl sized amount of Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation and warm with fingertips.
Dispense one pump or a pearl sized amount of Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation and warm with fingertips. Too much formula accentuates lines and imperfections. Avoid excess application around eyes or contours of the face.
Apply foundation starting at the center of the face and blend out with fingertips. Focus on one area at a time and blend well.
I finally decided to give the Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation (my shade L4 Light Deauville) a try and I think this is my favorite foundation I have ever worn! It applies so easily and it is so smooth! In my opinion it does blend better with the beauty blender vs a brush, but both ways blended extremely well I just prefer the beauty blender.
This is honestly one of the most light weight foundations I have ever worn, like seriously it didn’t even feel like there was anything on my face at all! It did deliver later in the afternoon and I tried it as soon as I got it so I only had about 5 hours of wear time and I was just kind of hanging out doing some chores around the house and took the dogs out for a long walk but through sweat and everything it held up so well! It looks so smooth on the face, it doesn’t get cakey at all, even at the end of the 5 hour period! I am interested to see how long it actually does last as it boasts a 16 hour wear, I will report back tomorrow to let you all know but I was so excited that I had to share my thoughts and opinions.
Last but not least the coverage was quite lovely, I would say more of a medium coverage but definitely buildable to a full if you desire! Overall like I stated at the beginning this foundation is now one of my absolute favorites even over my Charlotte Tilbury ones, and that says a lot because I really like the beautiful skin foundation by her, but this one is number 1 in my collection now, retail is $49.
00 USD but right now (today 9/10/2022) if you go to narscosmetics. com add it to your cart use the code SUMMER at checkout for 20% off to make the price $39. 20 USD (Side note I am loving this lip in the attached picture also from Nars, it’s the Velvet Matte lip pencil in the shade Cruella and then the Afterglow Lip Shine in the shade Broken Glass over-top, so hot! That 20% is site wide not just for the foundation wink wink😏😚) DON’T LET THE 20% OFF PASS YOU BY!! MY SHADE AGAIN IS THE – L4 LIGHT DEAUVILLE – -.
This is the best foundation NARS has ever made, and the best foundation in Sephora for my skintone. The shade Belem is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL — a peachy-pink for medium-deep brown-skinned girls, and you know that’s a very hard undertone to match, and hard to find in stores as most makeup brands don’t bother making this complex tone for deeper skin.
Belem matches my skin EXACTLY, and the color never changes throughout the day: it doesn’t turn orangey like most neutral-toned foundations, it doesn’t turn ashy like most pink-toned foundations would, and it doesn’t darken when my skin gets oily.
It’s legit stay-true color. (For reference, I wear Bobbi Brown Warm Walnut, Pat McGrath 25, and MUFE HD in R510 Coffee. ) It also has a dream texture, finish, and coverage. It melts into my face with a truly natural-matte finish that’s totally undetectable and literally looks like my skin.
Applies equally well with fingers, brush, or sponge. Creamy in the bottle, but so lightweight and breathable on the skin, it feels like I’m wearing nothing. The coverage is perfectly medium, so one sheer layer is enough to even out my complexion and look polished.
I find the longwear claims to be true as I’ve worn this foundation overnight and still looked great the next day. I’m a foundation queen, and I’ve tried nearly everything on the market, for decades now.
All in all, the Natural Radiant is everything I’ve ever wanted in a foundation, and I’m praying that they don’t discontinue this formula or shade. It’s literally PERFECT.
so this foundatino was my first ever fuller coverage nice foundation. i had the bella terra bb cream, and have had some drugstore ones but decided treat mfing TREAT MYSELF and bought this. the shade was pretty well matched at the store but it tendend to wash me out.
nothing to do with the foundation, just a sort of wrong match. my biggest gripe with this foundation is the wear time. i wanted a medium-full coverage foundation that wouldnt break me out and would keep me looking bomb af all day.
while this does have that effect when it has been first applied, it doesn’t stay looking flawless. i tried every application technique i could think of: just a brush, just a beauty blender, brsuh and blender, brush and stippling, hands and brush, hands and beauty blender, primer, no primer, all nighter setting spray, nyx matte setting spray, loose powder, pressed powder, letting everything sit and settled before applying, applying right away.
you get the idea. no matter WHAT i did, this foundation settled into my pores in the least flattering way. while it tended to look amazing, without having a touch up kit it was super difficult. and i would argue that with a foundation at this price you shouldn’t need to touch up every hour.
also, i tend to have drier acne prone skin. this is NOT HYDRATING AT ALL. my skin would get uncomfortably dry and it would wear terribly. wearing a mask with this was a DEATH SENTENCE. it totally destroyed the foudnation.
it was oxidization proof and transfer proof which was a huge plus, but it broke up in the least flattering way i can think of. if you live somewhere that doesn’t require masks or can constantly touch up your makeup, this is for you.
i wanted to love this product so so so badly, but no matter what I did it never got the effect that i was going for. despite everything, i still think that it is a good product. im in-between recommending it and not recommending it but i think i will because of how good the formula is.

I am 60 years old, with dry, sensitive, post-menopausal skin. I have fine lines, redness and enlarged pores to consider, when using complexion products. My skin is light with pink tones. I look for clean formulas without chemical sunscreen.
I just could not find a medium-coverage foundation that is not matte (looks dry and settles in lines) and not dewy (transfers easily and emphasizes pores). I have tried so many products, have read all the reviews, and have heeded store employees’ advice.
And yet, my holy grail foundation remained out of reach. Until I tried the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation. PROS: This formula grips to my primer without mottling and is not drying nor dewy. It is comfortable on the skin and protects my skin without irritation.
The wear is very good, providing a skin-like finish that can handle the occasional hot flash. I was able to find a good shade match. I like the pump tube component. CONS: This product is only offered at Ulta and the brand website, so I worry about the company discontinuing it for lack of volume sales.
There are only 12 shades, so there may be challenges for some skintones. My Fair/Light shade is the only one not offered by Ulta in the just-released value size.
I am a very loyal IT Cosmetics girl and sometimes I don’t even know why. I think it’s because I love the ingredients list including snail mucin, ferments and high SPF in their skin products. They really do keep my skin looking good even after a full day of wearing their cc cream or this foundation.
I love the finish on both which give my skin a subtle glow without making it look greasy. I prefer this over the cc cream because it has more of a medium to light coverage (it’s definitely not full coverage!).
However, with both the cc cream and this foundation, I am annoyed by the oxidization that happens. As much as I love the skin care benefits of IT’s products, I am starting to look elsewhere for my go-to foundation.
I’ve tried reducing the oxidation by mixing it with one shade lighter (yes, I had to buy two tubes) and even then I turn orange/peach, just a lighter share of it. Maybe it’s just a reaction that takes place on my skin and it won’t for others but it’s bothersome enough for me to start giving up.
I have tried every foundation known to man and am a true makeup junkie. I am 48 years old and this is the only foundation I have ever owned that has not just ONCE, but repeatedly gone through SEVERAL tubes.
I sometimes think I want to try something new and I keep on coming back to this one. I have good skin, so I will start with that. I have some fine lines but nothing terrible. I feel like every foundation cakes or makes me look older.
This foundation NEVER cakes on me and blends into your skin yet covers beautifully. The finish is perfection. It is not too dry and not to dewy. I use this and if I take it up a notch I will add the Tarte shape tape for concealing, under eye, contouring etc.
This is another of my holy grail products. I have turned countless women on to both these products. Please read what I am going to say next about application carefully: Get those sponges. You can get the beauty blender, but the old fashioned wedge sponges work just as well.
Get them wet with warm water and sqeeze out the the access water. Sometimes I squeeze into a towel. Then pump a little onto the sponge and blend on your face. The sponge actually gets better after repeated use.
On the shape tape, you put it directly on your face and blend. If you use dry brush, fingers, or dry sponges, you will not get the same set or same blend. TRUST ME on this one tip. It will make all the difference.
On the foundation do this in layers until you achieve your result. You do not need much at all. I stay completely away from powder at my age, but if you must try the IT powders. They really are the best.
I personally much rather set with my 3rd holy grail which is Urban Decay all nighter (original), but only after all makeup is on and if it is a long day or date night. I prefer this foundation very much over the CC which is what I used to use for a long time.
I find this much more natural, better coverage, and easier to work with. I never break out with this either. THe SPF 50 is also a HUGE plus. Perfect for sunny climates and going to the beach. Try this! You will love it.
Give your skin a sleek photo-ready finish with Dermablend’s multi-use Flawless Creator in 75 W. Formulated with 33-percent highly concentrated pigments and free of oil and water, this light and creamy customizable foundation blends and layers easily without added weight.
This liquid makeup is suitable for any skin type, offering versatile wear, and its 1-ounce bottle features a dropper for easy targeted application. Allergen-tested and free of parabens and fragrances, this vegan makeup is ideal for individuals with sensitive skin.
I just received this foundation as I purchased during the day of beauty event. I use a lot of different foundations from Dior to the Ordinary and some Korean BB creams. I have Lupus and have had dry skin with flares of butterfly rash that need covering for years.
However, I broke out in the most terrible bout of acne since I was a teen (in 40’s now!). I have been needing more and more coverup and I hate having to pack layers on then use a concealer. I have hot flashes and live in a hot climate.
It’s kinda yick. I remember hearing dermablend is a good option for covering acne. I opened the package as soon as it came and tried the smallest drop on the acne over my non-spf matte base/primer. It covers beautifully with just one layer! I bet I can use it as concealer as well.
It is much lighter consistency then I had thought it would be (I was thinking it would be heavy and more like the Clinique concealer/ foundation in one). I am extremely pale as lupus and sunlight don’t mix.
This is first time in ages I am not a company’s lightest colour! (I am next to lightest! Huzzah!) I recommend trying this foundation. Now I just need to see how it works with my sunscreen base next. Right now, I don’t even need to powder set and hope that will hold true for all applications regardless of base/primer type.
For buying a new foundation on-line, the 37N turned out great for my neutral medium skin tone. Just a tad light, but going into winter and my mineral powder provides enough color on top. I read the directions on-line before purchasing since this is a blendable formula you must mix each time and express any product from the applicator to get fresh product.
Had some difficulty at first as it seemed product was stuck in the squeeze dropper so nothing was going into it or coming out. I was able to free up the product finally to apply. Excellent coverage that DOES NOT oxidize or fade after application.
I had melasma and acne scars so coverage that doesn’t fade is important. IT foundation fades after application 😐 I had this on all day without primer or setting spray just some mineral powder. Excellent staying power even after touching my face!! I have used the dermablend coverage cream foundation before but for day to day use it feels heavy and looks a little too make-upy.
I like this Creator formula better as you can dictate your coverage level you want – light, medium, full.
26yr Female here combination skin. in search of natural full coverage. I’ve waited until I got to experiment a bit before I wrote this. I’ll share all I know. first off, my bottle broke. I was able to save quite a bit of it.
The dropper is trash, don’t even bother. A little goes a long way. By itself it looks very natural and covers surprisingly well. I put coconut oil on my dry spots and put 4-5 small dots around my face and it spreads like butter.
I don’t use a sponge, a thicker foundation brush blends well. but this alone doea not last long. Here is how I use it: I use lock it boundation(best full coverage I’ve found that looks good) I use this just on my cheeks where I have acne scars and redness.
Then I put the dermablend on the same areas and the rest of my face to blend. always use a setting powder. I have gotten so many compliments on my face, and because a little goes a long way, this will last me a long time.
worth the money even if you have to use with another foundation. My favorite part is, I’d I use coconut oil on my wrinkles, the dermablend doesn’t sink in and make them stand out more like most foundations.
Definitely one of my favorite products. Just have to learn how to use it.
Finally, makeup specially designed for mature skin – Age Perfect by L’Oreal Paris Cosmetics, Creamy Powder Foundation is infused with a Ceramide Anti-Oxidant Complex and Minerals for coverage that does not cake.
Instantly upon application, lines, pores and dark spots appear blurred leaving skin with a satin, shine-free finish. Age Perfect Creamy Pressed Powder Foundation provides buildable coverage. Blend in an outward motion as needed.
If your goal is to accentuate every pore, line or imperfection on your skin, whilst making you look as old as a Roman artifact, then this would be the foundation to use. It is the worst powder foundation I’ve ever had the misfortune of buying/trying.
I can’t believe this is targeted towards aging skin, (which tends to be on the drier end of the spectrum) since it’s anything but creamy and/or hydrating in texture. I may as well have covered my entire face in chalk and I would have looked better than I did after using this awful foundation.
On the bright side, I can incorporate this makeup look into my Halloween costume and scare away the neighborhood kids.
Lightest shade, Ivory. You MUST prep the skin with moisturizer, sunscreen and either CT Hollywood Flawless Filter or the Maybeline knockoff or a dewy primer or sunscreen. Buff in with a brush after applying concealer where needed.
Use powder bronzer, blush and highlight and a setting spray. It looked amazing on my 48 year old dry skin and lasted all day. Not powdery, didn’t settle in lines, let’s your skin peek through (is light coverage).
I have combination skin. I wanted to try out this product as a just a foundation instead of a setting powder. This product did alright on my combination skin. It did lightly minimize imperfections. The thing I liked the most about this product was it evened my skin tone.
The reason why I only rate this 3 stars is due to the fact that it clings on to dry patches. I also feel like it did not blur my acne scarring like I wanted it too. It provides a light coverage. I think this product would work better for the summer when my skin is more oily.
Tinted serum with SPF for a natural finish Skincare, make-up and sun protection in 1! The Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 30 has a weightless formula enriched with hyaluronic acid, botanical squalane and niacinamide.
The serum intensively nourishes the skin, balances the skin tone and minimises the appearance of fine lines and unevenness for a natural finish. The sun protection factor, obtained from non-nano zinc oxide, offers broad-spectrum (UVA, UVB and UVC), blue light and infrared protection.
Application: Shake well before use then apply the serum to clean skin. Dispense a quarter of a dropper into the palms of your hands and apply like a serum. On application, shade may appear lighter. After 30-60 seconds the shade will adjust to its true colour.
So I only just got this serum yesterday, but I applied it right away and ended up sleeping in it (because laziness and also just to see if any breakouts or anything weird/itchy would happen I guess); then I reapplied again this morning before work.
I’m loving it! I’ve been wanting a tinted mineral sunscreen that doesn’t suck the moisture out of my seemingly Sahara-like skin. I’m older now soooo my skin has decidedly become drier and crinklier (I think I’ve always been combination/regular, never exceptionally oily and my lifestyle/diet/age has tipped me into the drier territory).
I wouldn’t say this serum makes me as GLISTENING as the video ad models, but it might make an oilier gal shine. For me, the resulting finish/feel is smooth, soft, and comfortable. It evens out my skin tone with just the slightest soft glow and provides SPF so that’s pretty much right up my alley.
I have provided pictures showing the one side of my face where you can truly see my new age spot and some redness going on (I have recently been sunburnt, but also tend to show redness naturally)— no primer or lotions or other potions underneath this time around.
Then just the other side because *cute* 😊 Shows the coverage is definitely light, but in my opinion buildable. It’s a sticky formula that I dropper into the palm of my hand, rub together, and then rub onto my face like lotion and then sort of press in.
Never have and never will apply it with a sponge or brush because I’m a finger gal. I don’t often struggle too much with color matching as I am a white person with neutral undertones, but I will say it does apply lighter straight from the bottle.
Coverage is so light anyway that one could possibly make several shades work for them if necessary (but “haha” at that comment because your wallet would cry if that had to happen…okay maybe just mine…)—if you’re nervous about your shade, just stick to your usual color-picking tendencies and it’ll probably work for you.
I did not get matched by the website. It’s easy, it’s seemingly skin-benefiting, it’s expensive BUT everything is these days, so I’m gonna rock it til it’s gone (and probs buy more when I’m out). Ps.
I got a teeny sample of the overnight lip mask and that is absolutely dreamy (not wearing it in the pictures…if you can tell lol…I should have 😬). Beauty on, humans! ✨.
Cons: For anyone with large pores that are not perfectly exfoliated and clean every single day, you will get settling of this product in your pores, making it look like beige polka dots. I need to use an entirely different sunscreen for my nose because this product accentuates every single pore on my nose.
I purchased this with the hope of ease—a daily sunscreen? Yes! Tint and natural skin! Yes! Combine sunscreen and tint for beautiful easy skin? I only wish because it’s a very fussy formula. I get a lot of peeling/flaking of the product (and it’s not my skin—which is toned/serumed/AND moisturized before this product and otherwise naturally very oily) and I have tried with and without my normal skin routine, still flaking (not like flecks of flat, skin like dry skin, more like when you put a layer of glue on your skin and roll it off, that’s what this product looks like, the little “pilled” bits of product).
I’ve tried dabbing it on skin with my fingers, a brush, and sponge and still get the same issues. Sort of-Pros: The color tint is nice as it helps even out skin surface redness, but the overall ease of use is so poor compared to price.
So far, I have not noticed increased blemishes from clogged pores using this product, unlike other tinted sunscreens I have tried. Not a great product for my skin and had to add so many products and steps to my routine to make this product work for me (added daily and targeted light exfoliation to the nose, a primer for my nose, a different sunscreen for my nose to blend with this product on the rest of my face, and micellar water to cleanse in addition to my normal routine, wash, every other day exfoliation, serum, moisturizer, and then tinted sunscreen).
It’s more like a BB foundation rather than a quick and easy everyday sunscreen.

I had heard some great reviews about this flawless foundation so luckily I asked for a Sample pot first. I said to the young lady that I have older skin and discussed with her how careful older women need to be as some foundations actually end up making your lines under the eyes and making your pores look worse, I even joked how all these products are made for young under 30 year olds that have perfect skin and barely a wrinkle so off course it probably looks amazing on them but what about us mature skinned women.
Well unfortunately this foundation is not made for mature skin at all. I am 54 years old but my skin isn’t terribly wrinkly or bad at all for my age however this foundation went on terribly and was so drying and cakey on my skin and made my pores look huge.
when I tried to smooth the pores or smooth the foundation out of the lines it was forming under my eyes immediately, it just wiped off and into bally messes leaving patches and cakiness everywhere. Once applied you cannot try and smooth it as it doesn’t move or smooth and I applied this with a sponge over my normal skincare products.
I also dont use any concealer so the only product on my face over moisturiser was the foundation. I have to admit the results were completely the opposite of what I had hoped and read about and tbh looked awful.
I still have it on now 4 hours later and my skin looks patchy, pore filled and caking under my eyes and has actually aged me more. Perhaps I’ll try a more “dewy” formula of her products as this isn’t suitable.
As I said probably amazing on young fresh faces who can apply copious amounts of concealer and foundation onto their skin and still look great but certainly not good for older skin.
I bought this product after asking a Mecca consultant for a colour match of a foundation that looks natural, doesn’t cake, and preferably has SPF. I also mentioned being interested in Nars and Too Faced.
Unexpectedly, this foundation was recommended, though I actually picked one colour lighter than recommended as it was clearly way too dark for my complexion. The colour I went with is a great match, but that’s about the best of it.
The product is thick and dries/oxidises on the skin quite quickly, so it’s quite hard to blend. I have tried multiple prepping products from different moisturisers, serums, and primers to make the foundation blend better and have had varying results.
I have even tried mixing moisturiser with the foundation before applying. None of the results have been as good as my much less expensive BigW foundation. From the start of application it is patchy on my forehead and worsens with time, it also makes my pores really noticeable on my cheeks.
My skin has also been breaking out, which I have never had with any previous foundation. I used to be able to apply my daily makeup quite quickly too, and this product with all the extra effort and added products to try to get a good result has doubled how long it takes.
I plan to for a credit and get other brand samples before buying another foundation. Hopefully that way I can find what I actually want and need, rather than what I am told I should get.

My old foundation from a different brand had been discontinued. So I was on the hunt for a replacement! I went to my local Mall and tried absolutely loads over the course of a few weeks. I’d take a sample home and then try them half and half on my face to compare the look and also compare longevity.
I tried 11 brands in total, many very high end and expensive. Clarins won hands down! I am 34. I have the odd bit of acne and a few wrinkles around my eyes are starting to appear. I like light coverage as I wear very little make up, I like the barely there look day to day and slightly heavier coverage when going out.
Clarins fits the bill perfectly. I use their concealer too. I use 1 pump for light coverage, I apply with a foundation brush. Then I pop the concealer on my target areas. When heading out I use 2 pumps.
A little really goes a long way though! This foundation never sits in my wrinkles and as long as I use a primer underneath it lasts all day. It isn’t perfect like it started at the end of a long day but it still looks great! A lot of the others were completely gone by lunch time.
I’ve used both Clarins BB fluid and the Compact Powder Foundation for many years, and recently tried the new Everlasting Foundation version – too thick a formula for me (sadly being 40 didn’t prevent a teen style chin breakout) so I was wary to try this Everlasting Youth Fluid! It’s GREAT! One small pump gives me a light to medium coverage – still see freckles, but odd bits of pigmentation disappear! Together with SOS primer in Universal or Rose, which help diffuse the light, I can say that those annoying little lines were almost invisible.
The foundation stayed well and was non-oily. My t-zone stayed matte for longer, and the foundation remained at the end of the day. The shade was well matched to my medium olive toned skin, 114 Cappuccino, not too pink and not orange at all.
The most natural colour match I’ve had since my 20’s and I’m now in the last 90 days of my 30’s. At first I used this with a sturdy buki brush but it just moved the product around. Using a softer brush it glided onto the skin, didn’t sit in pores and gave even coverage.
I prepped my skin with all thing Clarins (face wash, double serum and moisturiser). I’ve been complimented on my skin ever since and it just looks like skin… no Casey coverage, it doesn’t sit in my pores and it blends into my neck.
Hoping Clarins make a bronzer that is Matt and not shines so I can complete my ‘glow’. This is undoubtedly the best foundation I’ve ever used. I wish it hadn’t taken me so long to find it!.
