Works really well! Sprayed once and not 10 minutes later came a heavy downpour. Thought all was wasted but the weeds started drying up the next day! Will definitely recommend and purchase again!

Excellent long lasting product. Great company to buy from. I used it heavy last year but no weed problem this year so far. I am going to start sprinkling it again this week. It does not work well at all on grasses. But it did beautiful around all of my perennials. Hospice, roses, hydrangea, lillies, daylily, Iris Etc. Highly recommended

I have tested the pre-emergent in my most difficult area, my alley fenceline. I pulled a strip of crabgrass and mixed weeds, then spread snapshot. It rained for a day. nothing has sprouted the past two weeks. I have turned my whole yard into a vegetable garden with few flowers for the pollinators. I expect to be able to can some for me and some to share with my neighbors without the weeding everyday.THANK YOU VERY MUCH
Margaret
I use this product three times a year for beds containing different types of plants to block weeds from seeds (will not hurt installed plants) and it does a fairly good job. I use it because it is what was recommended by garden installer. They said they put it down 4 times a year. Three times a year seems to be adequate since it says that it last 8 months.

I have been using another crabgrass control product for years, both stand alone and fertilizer/pre emergent combo product with poor results. Was about to hire a lawn service just for the crabgrass control after a particularly bad crabgrass year when I decided to try Preen. It really does the job. We have a long grass season here so I need to apply twice, the first time in late January/ early February and again in April/May. I waited a little too long for the second application and some of the crabgrass seed had sprouted in the bare spots left by the crabgrass from the previous year. The Preen Read More rossco
Preen Lawn Crabgrass Control is the most effective crabgrass (and other listed weeds) control I’ve used. Follow the directions on back of bag. It works when used as directed!

I don’t like having to take care of my lawn AT ALL. But I love being out in my flower gardens. Lucky for me my neighbor actually ENJOYS lawn care! I take care of his flower gardens and he takes care of my lawn. He swears by Preen. And I agree with him. There is no crabgrass or prostrate spurge in my lawn so I don’t have to worry about dragging the seeds into our gardens on my shoes. Works great.

Fast delivery was great. We’ve used the product before and so can give a review. Our yard used to be covered by Crabgrass early in the growing season…It just sprang up all at once. The neighbor does nothing whatsoever to treat so we have to fight double hard every year. We also use a ‘Crab Grass ‘ specific spray that is extremely ‘Toxic’ with anything left over due to the rains washing away our pre treatments. But we’ve noticed a very nice difference using this product and do recommend it. We’re treating early and then again at growing season just to be safe.

So far I’ve seen great results using Scotts WeedEx as a pre-emergent on my Bermudagrass lawn here in Central Texas. I put this down on my lawn right before the first of March, just as temperatures were starting to rise. I was already seeing weeds (broadleaf and grassy) starting to pop up so I was worried I was a little late to the game. I went ahead and yanked all the big weeds, and spot-treated the difficult ones with Image. After putting the WeedEx down, I had a few more weeds pop up that had already germinated, but after treating those and looking at my lawn now in Mid-April (a month and a Read More kwilson
This spring has been fantastic for my turf! We’ve had regular rain; so much so. I have been spoiled by not even having to water the grass seed. Having used the Mossex on an area that Is now a work in progress growing a thicket of newly seeded green blades, I’ve identified several other areas on my lawn that are more weeds than grass. I don’t know the names of this stuff other than dandelions and I see no future for me in botany; but since the Mossex was so easy and effective, I decided to dial down my Scott’s spreader to 2.5 and march over to the Weedex ‘test areas’ and pull the trigger. Last year in Spring 2019 was the first time I ever applied pre emergent on my lawn as I always hand weeded my yard because that was my thinking time, plus its great exercise. I hand weeded for about 5 years but when the neighbors stopped treating their yards, the weeds in mine became too many to keep up with, so I researched pre emergents and landed on this product. I have 5,000 sq ft of lawn in front that I am most concerned about as the back yard I allow weeds for a more natural feel. I applied one bag and was delighted at the results! From description this is what I need for my Spring pre-emergence broadleaf lawn application since I don’t use combination weed & feed mixture products, however since i won’t be using it until next Spring, I can’t say yet how well it works but from the description it would be the right item for me. More important, Service, Information, Options, and advice from Solutions Pest & Lawns was superb. I landed in the right place so thank you Solutions Pest & Lawns.

I have been using Solutions brand of prodiamine for several years. I have a 5 acre yard with zoysia and rebel fescue grass. Because I live in the mid-south we have a long growing season and sometimes a warm winter, so I use prodiamine twice a year. Excellent results. The neighbors say it looks like a golf course.

This is the best weed preventer I have found. Ive used Caseron for years and it truly is the best product Ive ever tried. Highly recommend. Get it down Before weeds start to show. Like early March. Then enjoy a year free of weeds.

This chemical works great. I put it out on my flower beds carefully in straight line on the property line between my house and the neighbors. My flower beds are weed free up to the property line then you see weeds starting up on their beds in a line where the chemical is not used. And it lasts for a year with one application.
Dave
The best product for long term(1yr+) weed control. Not a liquid so easy to apply with a standard spreader.

Preen is great, it works fairly well, preventing weeds from sprouting-up. When using it, one must be sure to spread it all evenly; don’t be afraid to use lots of it. It’s always a great idea to spread the Preen down 1 or 2 days before a rainy-day, water activates the Preen…either by natural-rain, or by a water-hose. I always rely on the rain, and it works-out for me. The Preen works for 3 months, preventing most all weeds, it does a great job. I highly recommend using this style of Preen. 1 of these full-unopened containers weighs 18 pounds. Please see the 6 attached photos I provided for thisRead More JoeAkronOhio34Male
This works pretty well, and isn’t scary to put on food crops. It’s a natural product made of corn and while it doesn’t prevent Weeds perfectly, it definitely makes an important difference and reduces the number and size of weeds, and seriously reduces the maintenance workload in my veggie garden. I like to put it around established onions, beets, carrots, and beans – the things that are so hard to weed and hoe around.
MI DogsCatsChickens
I previously bought Preen labeled “organic” and now find it is labeled “natural.” I went online and found Preen is very toxic to birds, animals, and humans if we get it on our hands. Be careful spreading this product around unless you have no regard for the environment. It is not that it doesn’t work, but the labeling is deceiving. BE AWARE.

Spring is here, and the weeds are starting to pop up! My flower beds are huge, usually taking 40 bags of mulch each spring, and trying to control the weeds can be exhausting. This year, since I was given this Preen Weed Preventer to review, I took this opportunity to use it while putting on a new layer of mulch. Following the directions I got rid of the weeds that had already popped up, and I used the application lid to spread Preen on top of the mulch and over a brick walkway that always gets so many weeds between the bricks. Even though I applied it very liberally it only took 1/2 the bottleRead More 2b1fitgirl
This stuff is amazing for flower beds! By now in my neck of the woods I would normally be pulling weeds like mad from my beds and having a tough time keeping up since this is the beginning of the growing season but I was able to apply Preen Extended Control Weed Preventer in time to stop the emergence of new growth. I can testify that it is already working as there are no new sprouts coming up, and my beds look so clean under the plantings. This product is so easy to apply – just shake directly on the ground around existing plants. I especially love that this is a 6-month control formula so I Read More benb
I have been using the regular Preen for many years and always had good results. When I discovered the Preen Extended Control, I was expecting to have good results and saving myself the time to not have to put the product down two times per growing season. I put the Preen Extended Control down in March and followed application instructions as per usual. We live in MD, zone 7a. We have over 2 acres of property and several large flower gardens. My flower gardens have always been beautiful in the past, but this year the weeds are overwhelming! Attached is a photo of just one small area.

When I was 18 or 19 I lived in a house with a neglected lawn and for some reason decided to try this. Yard was full of clover, dandelions, and other weeds. Had large area bare spots of N.C. red clay around trees. I put it down heavy just once and it killed off about every weed. Big patches of weeds became bare spots then the grass filled in and thickened, turned a nice darker green. Grass started spreading to the red dirt spots. This kills hard to control weeds like chamberbitter in destin fl.,that other weed weed killers won`t kill. Dose not kill the grass.I have centipede. I like to spray in the morning about 10 am before it gets to hot. I spot treat about every 10 days. It took a year at least to get my yard looking awesome. Don`t forget to feed your lawn.

I have tall fescue and my neighbors have dandelions, with one application of weed free zone my lawn is weed free. I do apply Weed Free Zone in the fall also. Normally anything as good a weed free zone would stunt the grass, but it doesnt effect it at all.

I applied as directed on newly seeded area and watered it deeply. This large area in the back had been cleared in February after all grass and weeds were deeply dug out, I even sprayed the area prior to planting, wanting no weeds. Seed sprouted, grew slowly because it got hot earlier than normal, but it is still green and growing. There was only one short strip where any weeds showed, and I used a safe weed killer on them. It’s been several weeks and there are weeds in every spot, even a small area that was seeded in October and was already thick with grass. We dug the area WITH A SHOVEL and aRead More GRAMMIEBUD

Been using wow supreme for several years now and the difference in my lawn is amazing! I love that it’s not a chemical or harmful to my kids and pets. It keeps most of the weed seeds from germinating and also feeds the grass so it’s green, thick and healthy looking! I put it on after the first mowing in spring and again in August. I try to apply it before it rains, instead of having to water it. I treat about an acre that was previously pasture surrounded by pasture full of all kinds of weeds, so yes I do still get weeds but it’s so much better than before I started using wow supreme.

You have to trust the process with this, Celsius is a slow killer but it will annihilate Dallisgrass to its roots! My Bermuda lawn was infested with Dallisgrass to the point you couldn’t see any Bermuda at all. Many YouTubers suggested MSMA but this site suggested Celsius for residential use. I used it with Methylated Seed Oil and made sure i sprayed the weeds until wet. I saw no results until Day 3, which was when the Dallisgrass blade tips started turning red. Each day afterwards, a larger percentage of the blades turned red – and then turned a darker burgundy-red – and then started yellowinRead More Shawne
First use, highest concentration. Put a hurt on Virginia Buttonweed; a second dose to be applied this weekend. Put a hurt on my Paspalum — nothing has ever done that except Roundup. Too soon to say it was fatal; may require a second application. Put a hurt on my sparse Bahia; may require a second hit, but still impressive. Various other “weak” weeds were dead within 10 days. I followed the instructions to the letter. 2 beautiful days before and after application. More weeds pop up and the ones that recieved treatment just grew larger. I believe spectracide is an inferior product for the asking price that this web site will not allow to be shown. I suggest ortho products replace spectracide. I wish I saved my reception so I can demand a refund. I do have the 2nd. bottle left. What a waist of a bunch of money.

I used this last spring and it did a fabulous job at weed eradication and I had a beautiful green lawn once the Bermuda grass came in. My lawn thickened up the turf well. I used it again yesterday and 29 hours later the weeds are wilted and limp. It’s too early in the season to evaluate the turf. But I anticipate good results as I received last year. This has been much more cost effective than granular products.

Undecided how to rate, but, it’s been 5 days now since application and not seeing ANY signs of weeds even getting a little bit “limp” or “sick”. Maybe I expect too much too soon, but seems like they should at least not look so healthy after five FULL days. Maybe I will be surprised and have to edit this review. Obviously did not expect the “feed” part to do anything this soon, but expected the weeds to at least look “not well” !

I have a small landscape design and installation business. I preen my clients 3 times, minimum. I am annoyed that you raised your product prices while using deceptive advertising on the size of container. Prices went up 5.00 per container yet each container weighs 1.5 lbs less. Looks the same, thus being deceptive. I send out my yearly contracts in January with 3 rounds of preen. Each client now cost me more to preen since the average loss is 9 to 9.5 lbs. Then 2 out of 6 containers had 2 scoops, thus SHORTING me more preen. 10 lbs minimum.

BE AWARE.

This product I have used for years! Excellent results to control my enemy, Mr. Weed! Keeps the tomatoes clear and beautiful…and productive. Also excellent in my rose beds. Leave it, forget it…and enjoy your time not weeding!

Extend hose to the farthest area to be treated and work back toward the faucet so you don’t come in contact with treated area. 4. To begin spraying, point nozzle toward treatment site and a.) bend the safety tab back (located at right of dial) with your thumb, b.) hold while turning dial clockwise until it stops. Water will automatically mix with product. 5. Spray until wet to control listed weeds. Walk at a steady pace while spraying, using an even sweeping motion. 6. To stop spraying, quickly turn the dial counterclockwise until it stops and the safety tab engages into the notch on the valve. Turn water off at faucet. To relieve pressure before removing nozzle from hose, bend the safety tab back and turn dial on until water stops spraying. 7. To store unused product, make sure the dial is in the off position with safety tab in the valve notch. Place in cool area away from heat, sunlight or open flame. Do not use near desirable plants as injury may occur. Do not apply under windy conditions. Do not treat the same area twice. Do not apply when temperatures exceed 90 degrees F as lawn injury may occur. Use only on healthy home lawns that are not under heat or drought stress and are reasonably free of insects, nematodes or diseases. Do not use on muck or alkaline soils. Do not apply in the root zone of trees, ornamentals or vegetables or other desirable plants other than the listed grasses. Do not apply to areas where natural drainage would carry the spray to desirable plants. Do not replant treated areas, except with listed grasses, within 12 months of application or injury may result. Do not oversee treated areas within six months after application. Sprigging listed grasses in treated areas is acceptable; however, some yellowing or stunting may occur. Application restrictions: Do not apply this product in a way that will contact any person or pet, either directly or through drift. Keep people and pets out of the area during application. This 32 fl oz container will treat 3,720 sq ft of listed grasses. Do not apply the entire container to an area less than 3,720 sq ft. Do not apply to the same area more than two times per year. Weeds controlled or partially controlled in established St. Augustinegrass and Centipedegrass lawns: annual bluegrass, chickweed (common and mouseear), crabgrass (partial control), cransbil, cudweed, dichondra, dollarweed, Florida betony, henbit, knotweed, lespedeza, moneywort, mustards, narrowleaf vetch, parsley-piert, pennywort (dollarweed), sandspur, smutgrass, spurge, spurweed, swinecrest, woodsorrel, and various annual clovers. Spurweed: control can best be obtained by applying when spurweed has just emerged (December and January). Florida betony: For best control, applications should be made in mid- to late October followed by a second application in mid- to late February. Dichondra, moneywort: Apply in early April followed by a second application in July. Applications for control of spurweed or Florida betony will generally give control or partial control of the other listed weeds. However, this product will give best control when applied to tender young weeds or just prior to weed emergence. Spectracide Weed Stop for Lawns for St. Augustine & Centipede Lawns Concentrate may be applied during both dormant and growing seasons. Best results are obtained when application takes place in early spring or dormant periods when weeds are small or have not emerged. Do not apply more than twice per year to the same area. This product will control both emerged weeds and weeds from seeds. Rain or watering within two or three days of application may decrease the effectiveness on emerged weeds. However, for the control of emerged weeds from seeds, rainfall or watering is needed within seven to 10 days after treatment. Storage and disposal: Do not contaminate water, food, or feed by storage and disposal. Pesticide Storage: Store in a locked storage area. Container disposal: If empty: Nonrefillable container. Do not reuse or refill this container. Offer for recycling, if available. Pesticide disposal: If partly filled: Call your local solid waste agency for disposal instructions. I do not know where all the favorable reviews come from. I read the label completely, applied exactly as directed on partly cloudy day with a temperature of 68-70 degrees. No rain, no watering for 6 days. Product did nothing. Not a single weed even turned yellow. It was as if I sprayed water on them. I measured each area of my yard with my measuring wheel prior to purchasing so I knew I needed 3 bottles to cover my yard. After completion I had about 2 oz. of product left so application amount was spot on. And the “Money Back Guarantee” listed on the front of the bottle. Good luck with that! I Read More PanamaCobra
It works well on clover and dollar weed. So far, I can’t tell if it works on anything else. Note that this weed killer takes time. Not like northern grass weed killer that shows it working sometimes overnight. In maybe 4 days you start to see clover turning a lighter shade of green then eventually yellow until gone so give it 2 weeks. You can also re-apply after a couple weeks if necessary.

After almost 30 days, dandelion occurrence has diminished. Appears to work as pre-emergent against dandelion. Works as post emergent against stinging nettle if you have a week of dry weather to follow. Stinging nettle results will be seen after a week. Hawksbeard is another issue. Has not prevented hawksbeard. Another product I used seemed to be only effective on hawksbeard. Evidently, no product perfect unless you go to cancer causing commercial nuking.

Directions Read the entire label before use. It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. For outdoor residential use only. Shake well before using. Do not apply this product in a way that will contact any person or pet, either directly or through drift. Keep people and pets out of the area during application. Do not allow people or pets to enter the treated area until sprays have dried. General information: Spectracide Weed Stop for Lawns plus Crabgrass Killer Concentrate is a selective herbicide that controls emerged broadleaf and grass weeds in established lawns. Symptoms you may expect to see on affected broadleaf weeds include leaf reddening, leaf and stem curling and twisting, chlorosis and necrosis. Symptoms expected on grass weeds including stunting, chlorosis, gradual reddening and necrosis. Where to use: This product is intended for use by homeowners on residential lawns. This product should be applied only to the following species of turfgrass: Cool season turfgrass: Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass; fescue spp, including tall, red and fine leaf fescues. Warm season turfgrass: Bermudagrass (application to Bermudagrass may cause temporary yellowing or discoloration but full recovery can be expected. Do not apply to Bermudagrass when daytime temperatures exceed 85 degrees F), zoysiagrass, buffalograss. Do not use this product on lawns containing bentgrass, St. Augustinegrass, bahiagrass, centipedegrass, carpetgrass. Also, do not use on dichondra or lawns with desirable clovers or legumes. Do not use on vegetable gardens, fruits or ornamentals (flowers, trees, groundcovers, hedges landscape/flower beds and shrubs). When to use: Apply this product to actively growing weeds during the early growth stages for the best results. Apply in spring or fall when daytime temperatures are between 45 degrees F and 90 degrees F. Fall applications may control winter annual and biennial weeds that may otherwise resprout the following spring. For heavy grass weed pressure, apply a second application at the same rate, 14 days after the first application. Crabgrass (large and smooth): Spring: For the best results, apply this product from crabgrass emergence until the six-leaf stage (two tillers) or before the crabgrass is 3 to 4 inches in height. Generally, this period begins or corresponds to the first time that you can see crabgrass in your lawn. Use two applications at the same rate with a 14-day interval for dense populations. How much to use: The maximum application rate is 6-1/2 fl oz of product per 1,000 sq ft per application (0.6 lb 2,4-D acid equivalent per acre per application). The maximum number of broadcast applications is limited to two per year. The maximum seasonal rate is 13 fl oz of product per 1,000 sq ft (1.2 lb 2,4-D acid equivalent per acre), excluding spot treatments. Hose-end sprayer instruction: 1. Shake container well before using. 2. Connect a garden hose to the ready spray nozzle. Make sure the dial on the nozzle is in the off position with the safety tab in the valve notch. 3. Turn on water at faucet. Extend hose to the farthest area to be treated and work toward the faucet. 4. To begin spraying, point nozzle toward lawn a) bend the safety tab (located at the right of dial) back and hold, b) using your other hand, quickly turn the dial clockwise until it stops. Water will automatically mix with the product. 5. Spray until wet to control weeds. Walk a steady pace while spraying using and even sweeping motion, slightly overlapping treated areas. One quart will treat up to 5,000 sq ft of Southern or Northern grasses. For rectangular areas, calculate square feet by multiplying length by width. Refer to sight gauge to guide coverage (example: when bottle is half empty, you should have covered half the area). 6. To stop spraying, quickly turn the dial in the opposite direction of on (counterclockwise) until it stops and the safety tab engages into the notch. Turn water off at the faucet. To relieve pressure before removing nozzle from hose, bend the safety tab back and turn dial on until water stops spraying. 7. To store unused product, make sure the dial is in the off position with the safety tab in the valve notch. Adequate moisture and mild environmental conditions enhance the performance of this product. Applications should be made to actively growing weeds. Apply when daytime temperatures are between 40 degrees F and 90 degrees F. Avoid applications of this product when turfgrasses are under stress since injury may result. For newly seeded areas: Do not apply within 4 weeks after seedling emergence of Kentucky bluegrass, fine fescue blends and perennial ryegrass. Apply this product to newly seeded grasses when well-established (approximately 6 weeks after seedling emergence) or after the third mowing. For newly sodded, sprigged or plugged areas: The application of this product to newly sodded, sprigged or plugged grasses should be delayed until 3 to 4 weeks after the sodding, sprigging or plugging operations. Seeding: Turf species listed on this label can be seeded into the treated areas at 4 weeks after the application of this product. Irrigation: Do not apply this product immediately before rainfall or irrigation. For best results, do not irrigate or water the turfgrass within 24 hours after application. If dry conditions exist, a scheduled irrigation or watering 24 hours before and 24 hours after application is recommended. Mowing: Delay mowing 2 days before and until 2 days after the application of this product. Additional stress from low mowing heights may increase the possibility of turf injury. Clippings from the first 3 mowings should be left on the treated area. Do not use clippings from the treated areas as mulch or compose around flowers, ornamentals, trees, or in vegetable gardens. Prohibitions: Do not treat when air temperatures exceed 85 degrees F as damage to grass may occur. Application at rates above specified on this label may cause injury to turfgrass. Do not apply this product to food crops (gardens and vegetables), forage crops, or ornamental plants including flowers, trees, shrubs, hedges, woody ornamentals, groundcovers established in landscape plantings and other nontarget plants. Do not spray exposed roots of ornamentals and trees. Storage and disposal: Pesticide storage: Store in original container. Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal. Disposal: If empty: Do not reuse this container. Place in trash or offer for recycling if available. If partly filled: Call your local solid waste agency for disposal instructions. I have lots of weeds in my lawn – probably more than regular lawn. So I was excited to try this weed stop to see if it would kill off all of the unwanted weeds (mostly clovers and dandelions) in my back yard. I read all of the instructions, and I felt like I knew what I was doing. It was fairly easy to use, I just hooked my hose up to it, took out the safety pin and pushed on the white handle to make it go. The only thing that wasn’t very clear was how fast I should move from place to place, so it’s possible that I didn’t allow enough of the product to be on the weed sections. I may have movedRead More rosepaw
I am so happy that I tried out this weed stop! First of all, it’s from a brand I trust! I know that the ingredients are high quality because of who makes it! I also love the size of the container. There is enough in it to last a while! The instructions are super easy to follow too, which is nice! It tells you how much you need to use, and when to use it. You do need to use it when the temperature is between 45 and 90 degrees though or it won’t work as well. The biggest thing I love about this product, is that it gets rid of so many different kinds of weeds! We get a lot of different weeds in oRead More AmberM86

Best Pre Emergent For Zoysia Grass Buying Guides

Pre-emergent herbicides are important for preventing weeds in zoysia grass.

Pre-emergent herbicides are important for preventing weeds in grass. By applying a pre-emergent herbicide to your lawn, you will create a barrier that will prevent weed seeds from germinating. This will keep your lawn looking healthy and weed-free all season long.

There are many different types of pre-emergent herbicides available.

Pre-emergent herbicides are applied to the soil to prevent the germination of weed seeds. There are many different types of pre-emergent herbicides available, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Some of the most popular pre-emergent herbicides include glyphosate, trifluralin, and pendimethalin.

The best time to apply pre-emergent herbicides is in early spring.

The best time to apply pre-emergent herbicides is in early spring, before the zoysia grass begins to actively grow. This will ensure that the herbicide is effective in preventing weeds from germinating and taking over the lawn.

Pre-emergent herbicides should be applied before weeds start to germinate.

Pre-emergent herbicides should be applied before weeds start to germinate. This will prevent the weeds from germinating and growing.

Pre-emergent herbicides will not kill existing weeds.

Pre-emergent herbicides are designed to prevent weeds from germinating, not to kill existing weeds. If you have existing weeds in your zoysia grass, you’ll need to use a different type of herbicide to get rid of them.

Pre-emergent herbicides can be applied with a lawn spreader.

Pre-emergent herbicides can be applied with a lawn spreader by following these steps: calibrate the spreader according to the manufacturer’s instructions, apply the pre-emergent herbicide to the lawn at the recommended rate, and water the lawn thoroughly after application.

Pre-emergent herbicides should be watered in after application.

Pre-emergent herbicides should be watered in after application to ensure that the pre-emergent is effective. If you do not water in the pre-emergent, it may not be as effective at preventing weeds from growing.

Pre-emergent herbicides can last for several months.

Pre-emergent herbicides work by creating a barrier on the surface of the soil that prevents weeds from germinating. This barrier can last several months, depending on the herbicide.

Conclusion

A pre-emergent herbicide is a preventative treatment that is applied to lawns to stop weeds from germinating and growing. There are many different types of pre-emergent herbicides, but they all work by creating a barrier on the surface of the soil that prevents weed seeds from germinating. Some common active ingredients in pre-emergent herbicides include siduron, imazaquin, and dithiopyr. Zoysia grass is a warm-season grass that is common in the southern United States. It is a very tough grass that can tolerate a wide range of conditions, but it is also very susceptible to weeds. Applying a pre-emergent herbicide is the best way to prevent weeds from germinating and growing in a zoysia grass lawn.
