20 Best Noise Cancelling Earbuds For Construction (2023 Updated)

Things I liked: The sound is really good, I would say just a bit better than the Airpod Pros although thats not a very high bar to begin with. Noice cancelling is also really good, I would say on par with the Airpod Pros although I can hear its acheived with a bit of white noise.

Sometimes I just want pure silence you know ? The Airpod Pros are a little better in that category but if you’re listening to music/media both are really good. Everything I didn’t like: The charging case is larger than the Airpod Pros 2.

The case to beat will always be the original airpods but the APP2 is smaller than this product Connectivity: I wouldn’t at all recommend this product for Apple Users. On Android it recognizes the headphones immediately with or without Sony’s App but on Apple it seems to need the Sony Connect App to connect properly.

Even then, there’s hickups where you sometimes have to start to connection process over and over again. Compared to APP2 which recognizes the headphones when open and near ? Not great. Fit Again, Apple’s headphones have a way better fit and look better in the ear.

The headphones are very much heavier than any Airpods and sometimes the best way to wear them is diagnoally rather than straight. Doesn’t really look or feel that great. Controls This is the category that actually made me return these headphones.

It’s all touched based, where as the APP2 have a squeeze method. One little bursh against the touch pad and you may find yourself accidentally pausing or skipping music. To activate Noise Cancelling you need to assign a specific headphone to do that task where as on the competition either side works for all the controls.

Everytime you change your Noise setting a voice dims the music and tells you what mode you’re switching too. With these kind of headphones, it’s easy to tell. Can you hear your surrondins yes or no ? That’s the mode you’re on.

Final: These are better headphones for Android users but for Apple users and the products that Apple puts out, these lose a star.

Quite impressed with these buds, although the software (app) to control them is poorly designed. I used them in conjunction with a hinged crash helmet, and at first they fell out every time I took the helmet on or off.

I persevered, and found a technique that worked, and from then on. happy days. My motorcycle setup involved my phone in a tank bag, with the software open so I could control the sound and on/off functions without removing my helmet.

Its best if you completely disable the touch functions on the bud themselves for obvious reasons. The bluetooth mostly connected without any issues, but about 10% of the time, either just one bud would connect, or sometimes not at all, meaning you had to take the bud out, pop back in the case to reset them, then take out to ensure they connected to the app.

Once setup, they worked fine, and the silicone bud probably provided more sound cancelling than the gimmicky app, that tries to continually adjust, for ambient noise, dropping audio frequently as it tries to get it right.

I ended up turning that feature off. Battery life was good, and I got a good days use, with a 30 min recharge at lunchtime helping. The buds were comfortable, although you can feel the weight in your ear.

One last word on the app – its full of gimmicks, liketaking a pic of your ear to fine tune the sound. really ! But yet basics like an easy to find volume control are missing, and whoever chose a light brown on white color scheme has never tried it in sunlight !.

The packaging of the NC2 earbuds is exceptional! Tozo provides 8 different size ear cushions, so you should have no problem finding your perfect fit. They also come with an 18 month warranty that you need to go online and activate.

This is a big plus and exceeds the typical 1 year warranty of the competition. Their customer service is very responsive via email and has answered my questions in a timely manner. These earbuds have amazing sound! The bass is deep with great mids and decent highs.

The volume is quite loud with very little if any distortion. The ANC mode blows away the previous versions! The ambient mode is Incredible!!! With these I can wear both and just turn on ambient. I can enjoy full stereo sound and talk with my coworkers at the same time! Calls are clear, and people cannot even tell that I am speaking over the earbuds.

Bluetooth 5. 2 functionality really increases the range and connection stability, and I can wear them everywhere in my apartment. The wireless charging is very convenient and beats connecting a charger using the USB-C cable.

The TOZO NC2 case is designed such that the earbuds are difficult to remove with ease using a couple of fingers. This is a design fault that Tozo engineers need to improve upon in the next generation of this model.

The NC2 earbuds are an excellent value and outperform the competition for earbuds at a much higher pricepoint. I would recommend these as a superior buy to anyone looking for a set of quality bluetooth earbuds.

Pros: Super easy to pair with my devices. The Active Noise Cancelling is awesome for a budget pair of earpods, better than i was expecting. Used them while mowing and I could barely hear the mower’s engine running and only had the volume at 60%.

The design of the earbud is really compact compared to my last pair. They fit my ear really well but I had to use the smallest rubber tips due to really small ear canals. The awesome thing is they stay in my ears! My last ones fell out slowly over a few minutes and I had push them back in but not the Tozo NC2s, the stay put.

They don’t protrude to far out of my ear. The finish is something I really like, it’s a flat black finish that doesn’t scream “Look at me”. Overall an A design by the engineers. The case is a great case, keeps the earbuds in magnetically and they don’t fall out easily.

I love getting a few extra earbud charges really fast out of the case without having to plug it in for power. They case and earbuds easily make it through my work day but that’s with ANC turned off. The sound stage is better than my last pair, more bass and I feel like I’m listening to some great quality speakers in my office.

So if you like bass then these are great for you. The mid-bass is really good too. Podcast, news etc all sound amazingly lifelike. Different types of music on the other hand make a huge difference. Most sounds way better than other budget earpods in this price range.

I like heavy metal and rock and the top end is missing a bit on these for me, it’s there just not enough, an eq on your phone will somewhat fix it with some tweaking. I love that I can use just one at a time.

I get about 5 hours of time with ANC off, no where near the 8 hours they state, I’d be happy with 6 hours. Cons: Microphone for calls is lacking a bit, doesn’t sound the best but works. The person on the other end can hear you but sometimes has issues.

No app to tweak the EQ, check battery percent or to update firmware etc. Many others have an app and it makes a nice improvement but the app is not needed. Batter life, as stated before, I get about 4-5 hours of actual use time around the 60% volume level with ANC off.

They claim 8 hours, don’t expect that or even close to it. Maybe I got a bad pair? The case does not have wireless charging but I knew that purchasing them. Even Tozo’s cheaper earbuds have wireless charging, not sure why they didn’t include it with these earbuds since we pay more for them.

The included charging cable is super short and no included charging brick. I do not like the new trend of not including decent length cables or chargers. Those are some of the cheapest things to include.

Overall I still suggest this is an excellent purchase, I would buy another pair if these got lost or damaged.

The LinkBuds S are a fascinating product. Lightweight, compact, and yet packed to the gills with features and party tricks. And after spending a few days with them, I think they might have earned a spot as my new daily drivers.

As far as I can tell, the design goals here were to create a set of earbuds you simply never need to take out. You’ve got active noise cancellation, passive noise blocking, and audio pass through at your disposal, which is fairly standard at this point.

What makes these particular stand out is the fact that they are designed to try and make the process of switching between these options completely automatic. If it detects you talking to someone it immediately pauses your audio and switches to voice amplified passthrough.

If it detects you’re currently driving it switches back to full audio cancellation. If you’re going for a run it’ll switch to full passthrough, and so on. I haven’t decided yet if this is a brilliant idea or not, as so far at least it seems to be a little hit or miss in regards to its decision making, but it’s certainly an approach that I haven’t seen before and I can see the appeal.

The smarts don’t end there, however. There’s also tools to help you select the correct ear cushion size for your ear canals, a monitor to determine if you’re listening to content that could damage your hearing in the long term, and even a tool to scan the shape of your ears to optimize 3D audio performance (though it doesn’t seem to be particularly useful for earbuds.

Overall it comes across as an almost excessive attention to detail which really does make this feel like a premium experience. The only issue I have is the system to remap the touch controls on the earbuds.

Most apps will let you map specific actions to each gesture the system supports. With these, however, you have to pick between a short list of available presets which often aren’t making full use of the commands available.

To give an example, out of the box there are no volume controls at all. The right earbud has media controls, and the left controls noise cancellation. I would like to be able to replace the two empty “quick action” slots (which seems excessive since there’s currently only one thing I can map to them, and it’s something I never use) with volume controls, but it won’t let me.

Switching the left earbud to volume control will remove the mapping for noise cancellation control, which I use much more often. It’s very puzzling to me how Sony hasn’t figured out that this is a bad design when practically everyone else in the industry has fully programmable controls, and I hope that they can eventually address it with a future software update.

Which brings us to one of the more important aspects: how do the actual earbuds perform? Overall, I’d say very well. The default equalizer setting offers a good mix of highs and lows, audio is crisp, and mic performance for calls is great.

It’s got a bit less bass than I’m accustomed to from Sony stuff, but given that I often find their low end response to be excessive I’m fine with it. Battery life is very good, though not exceptional, with the earbuds on their own being able to last through most of the day and the case having a generous power reserve that claims to be able to stretch total endurance to 20 hours.

They grip in the ear very well, and are so lightweight that they tend to stay where you put them without causing any discomfort. Touch detection can, admittedly, be a little hit or miss. There’s no clear indicator for where you should tap the casing to trigger a command, and sensitivity varies depending on where you hit.

Aiming for dead center seems to elicit the best response, but it’s very easy to accidentally hit one of the edges when you’re wearing them. It’s a minor thing, ultimately, but some kind of nub or shift in texture to give some tactile response would be nice.

And the active noise cancellation is better than anything I’ve previously tried from Sony, with very little discomfort from prolonged use and excellent performance. Overall, these earbuds aren’t perfect.

They do have a bit of a prototype feel to them, with a lot of the features feeling like early implementations. But it also feels like you’re looking at the first crack at where earbud design is ultimately going, and I think that future firmware and software updates will probably improve a lot of the current shortcomings.

As such I’d recommend them for anyone looking for earbuds that can do it all without losing the ability to be discrete.

I love the earplugs. They work well for sound protection. They protect my ears, but still allow me to hear and communicate with co-workers when I’m not using bluetooth. Bluetooth works well and the controls on the headphones are intuitive and easy to use.

Very easy to set up with all my devices – phone, TV, laptop. My only complaint is with the foamies. I apparently have really small ear canals. The XS foamies still hurt my ears. I wish there was a smaller size or that they were tapered for more comfort.

My husband has a different brand of noise cancelling earplugs with foamies that are tapered, and made with a very comfortable material – closer to the material used for disposable foam earplugs – so the foam stays compressed long enough to comfortably insert the plugs.

The material used for the ISOtunes foamies don’t stay compressed long enough to comfortably insert.

I bought these in the hope of being able to listen to music or podcasts while mowing. They have delivered in spades. Great sound isolation from the engine noise, and very good sound reproduction from bluetooth.

My first use was more than 3 hours and they were just as comfortable as when I started. More than happy with my purchase. I wound definitely recommend these to anyone looking for the same things I was.

The good, noise cancelling is awesome, Sound is good, bluetooth connection is super fast and talking on the phone is spot on, battery life is good. The bad, controller is heavy and pulls right side bud out, ear hooks don’t hold any weight, function button (pause button etc, so I can talk to people) is not super easy to distinguish and a bit slow, also if you bump them they generally don’t hold in well.

I’ve had these earbuds for a little over a month and have been very happy with them! The case and earbud design is sleek, and the sound quality is great. I enjoy both music and podcasts/audiobooks with these, and appreciate that you can really customize the sound in the JBL app.

I also like the Ambient Aware feature for when I’m outside and want to be aware of my surroundings – I’m looking forward to using them when biking especially! A few things to be aware of. If you are someone with long hair or wears hats/headbands that cover your ears, you may have some issues with the Ambient Aware setting as it picks these up as loud noises when they brush against the earbuds.

I also have found that these are slightly too large for my ears – I wish that they fit a bit more snuggly so that I didn’t worry about them dropping into the sink when I’m elbows-deep in dishes, but overall they stay in place with minimal readjustments.

And finally, the app can sometime have issues detecting the earbuds. This isn’t a deal-breaker as the buds can be mostly controlled without it, I’ve just had to sit and wait for 10-30 seconds for the app to recognize the buds.

Pros: -Awesome audio. Truly. Go into EQs and adjust up the bass and treble for on-ear quality sound. -Battery life is long; you can go days without charging the case and almost 8 hours without recharging the buds.

Cons:Everything else. -Noise canceling picks up even the slightest whiff of wind and amplifies it over music and into calls to the point that you, or the person you’re talking to, can’t hear a thing.

Best to just turn all audio modifiers off for general use outdoors. -Random call drops and music pauses. No explanation for this or any solution I’ve found. It occurs maybe once per 2 or 3 hours of use.

-Ergonomics are abysmal. There was little to no thought put into keeping this earbud in your ear, as it relies on a barely perceivable bump which cams into a ridge and the friction of the silicon tip for retention.

Add even a little sweat and motion (talking, chewing, walking) and they’ll fall right out. It’s so bad, I have a second pair of earbuds for taking calls or riding my bike. Bottom line: I bought mine on clearance for less than $100 and even for half that price I wouldn’t buy again.

I’m going back to my old earbuds.

I have been searching for a set of in-ear headphones for both work and leisure for quite some time. I have been through several different popular brands but nothing was really meeting my needs. The Tour Pro+ TWS is exactly what I was looking for and give them a hands-down five-star rating on several key areas including audio playback, voice calls, battery life, compact size, quality, and comfort.

The audio quality is fantastic. I am particularly impressed with the noise-canceling mode which drowns out the world around me and allows me to focus on the task at hand. Whether I’m conducting conference calls at work or listing to music around the house, this set is now my “go-to” pair.

In fact, I have donated my other more expensive sets to the kiddos as I figured they could put them to better use than simply being a paperweight on my desk. I used these out of the box for a few days before realizing the benefits of using the “My JBL Headphones” app.

I was able to adjust the EQ settings and found a bunch of other features such as alarms, a “find my buds feature”, and many other options. The battery life is quite solid and I was able to get about six hours of playback on a single charge with the noise-canceling feature on along with taking a few calls during that time.

They charge pretty quickly and the wireless charging feature allows me to keep my desk free and clear of additional cords. In terms of compact size and construct, they are comparable to other high-end brands.

The earpiece itself is a bit bulkier, but side-by-side volume-wise they are pretty much the same. Additionally, based on their design, I feel this set stands out less when wearing them over other brands.

The case is also compact and well made. I give JBL credit for going the extra mile as they added somewhat of a non-skid backing to the bottom of the case so it doesn’t slide around on slippery surfaces.

It’s a little detail but a nice one as I’m less likely to knock the case off the desk as I have done with my other sets. Headphones that hurt my ears only go so far and I pretty much forget I have these in despite wearing them for several consecutive hours on end.

I find them very comfortable and they have stayed seated in my ears despite moving around a lot while working along with testing them out during a few workouts. Considering all of the other aspects of performance and sound, matched with superior comfort, these are my favorite pair of in-ear headphones.

As previously mentioned, I have been through several other high-end pairs that, on average, come at a higher cost than the Tour Pro+ TWS headphones. They sound amazing, feel great in my ears, are well made, and the battery life is solid.

Plus, the “My JBL Headphones” app provides easy access to many built-in features that you don’t get with many other brands. Given the price point is lower on average than other brands/models I have purchased, these are truly the way to go in my opinion.

I absolutely recommend the Tour Pro+ TWS headphones to anyone looking for a high-quality, versatile, and in-ear set that won’t break the bank.

These are simply wireless earbuds. They function just as well as every other brand or better, and though I haven’t used other brands, this has served me well. It connects easily and it even connects automatically to my phone now, although I honestly don’t know how this happens and there aren’t any settings for it to connect automatically.

I use them every day at work and I’ve found that the earbuds can last continuously without charge for about 4 hours, so if you use them one at a time and switch them out regularly, they will last an entire day.

The noise cancellation is very good, although it only really works if something is being played in the earbuds, but white noise works just as well as heavy metal, so it should work fine no matter who you are.

Be careful when using both earbuds however, since you literally can’t hear outside sounds if you have both earbuds in and noise cancelling, so if someone is trying to get your attention, you probably won’t notice unless you can see them.

If you have noise transparency on and both earbuds, then you can only understand outside language on low volume, but can hear more than with noise cancelling. Overall, noise cancelling and noise transparency aren’t incredibly distinct, and it will mostly depend on how many earbuds you’re wearing and how loud your audio is.

Most of the time, only wearing one earbud is better because you can still interact with people and the battery lasts longer, but you can get better sound quality with two earbuds. You can still get audio if the source of the audio is across the room, in another room, or in a pocket, but if there are too many or too thick obstructions, they won’t work.

If you drop them, they will scratch, but almost definitely won’t have their performance affected. Overall, the earbuds work great and they’re worth it to get.

Somebody things about this I just don’t know where to start. Needless to say I was extremely excited to receive these and I finally got them I must say I was pleased that they came already 80% charged that was a plus.

No time for the good the bad the ugly in the real truth. Packaging is absolutely beautiful much better packaging than me know iPhone 13 Pro Max that was pretty generic however the beats packaging was very very nice.

Starting with the case extremely slippery, Very hard to open you almost don’t even know where you almost don’t even know where to home there should be some type of notch or something that just makes them up and easy like the iPods.

If you were expecting a flawless connection thanks again now yes it’s easy to connect them but like the Apple iPods you open them up and they’re connected not with the beats do you have to do a little bit of work and go back and search for them in your Bluetooth and select them and unfortunately you have to do this every time.

As far as the sound quality they fell short on that as well yes the sound is good but I would have expected much much better out of a beats product. I really do have to say I’m pretty disappointed with these there’s a lot of things I just don’t like and another one that I forgot to mention with everything going to wireless charging you cannot wireless charge these you have to plug them in.

My gut was telling me I should purchase the new Apple iPods Pro however I always wanted a pair of beats I always heard wonderful things about them so I really wanted to give them a try and I really think after having them for one day listening to three songs I am going to contact Verizon and I will be returning these and I am going to purchase a pair of the iPod pros you just can’t go wrong with the sound quality as well as the ease and lack of effort you have to do to make them work there just an all-around wonderful product that sound better work better.

Hey maybe you will like them better than me but I am the type of person I like to wear them when I’m mowing grass and I like to turn them up loud and honestly you just cannot get that nice loud deep great sound you can from the Apple iPod pros.

First, let me begin saying that I am a visually impaired user and this perspective is just how I feel. The reason I only gave these headphones an average rating is because they are just that. They lack umph and they lack power to me.

I saw multiple reviews watch multiple reviews on YouTube for purchasing these studio buds on Black Friday I was already in need being that I still on the original pair of AirPods so it was time for some thing new.

I purchased these on Black Friday for $99 and I am extremely disappointing all of the reviews that I watched on YouTube gave me the notion that these headphones were loud and we’re going to pack a mean punch, but I was extremely disappointed on the first lesson.

I am more than likely will give these away because I also purchased a pair of beats flex into me they offer more power and more thought as my mother would say. The value on the headphones were perfect because I refuse to pay anything over $100 for a pair of your phones.

The quality of the headphones, I mean they are beats so they’re going to make them look good for a fashion statement. I also purchased these because I didn’t want another pair of AirPods because I work out a lot and they seem to slip out of my ear when I am in the gym.

So I wanted something that would stay in my ear as I work out. So far they have done a great job on that level. I’ve gotten multiple comments on them on how cool they look but looks can be deceiving.

Yes they look nice, but being blind it’s hard to get them in and out of the case. The first time I took them out of the case I actually had to have someone help me figure out how to get them back into the case, so pay very close attention, for the very first few times it took me a minute to put them back in the case once I use them.

The reason for the three stars is one. They lack power. To. They lack loudness. Three. They only look good in my ear. I am quite disappointed in these and I might even give these away and try something else.

I’ve often also heard prior to purchasing these that listening to classical music was not an option but I actually felt like these were better for classical music than songs by Kevin Gates or Nipsey Hussle didn’t give me what I was looking for.

Probably would not tell someone to purchase these headphones.

Purchased last month for noise cancellation and better comfort than my wrap-around regular earbuds, which press uncomfortably on ear canal when wearing more than a short time and lacked noise cancelation.

The Bose QC Earbuds design effectively stay in with soft, flexible wings that comfortably hold in the ear. Bose gives you three wing sizes to find the best fit. This design is made for those that want a comfortable earbud that stays in.

Additionally, they are more comfortable than my traditional, wrap around earbuds because the earbuds have an open umbrella shape and rest on the ear canal instead of narrower and resting inside the ear canal.

That makes them much more comfortable than traditional wrap around ones for anything longer than short periods. The Bose QC Earbuds have very well-designed features as well. You can select four listening styles that match your listening and environment, like Music, Walking, and Quiet as well as selecting how much noise canceling you want with each.

Quiet, of course, gives maximum NC, but others can be personalized to your preferences. The Aware setting is particularly impressive and amazing by allowing awareness, as the name says, of your surroundings, yet increasing the NC whenever intrusive noises arise and increase to moderate those, giving you a more stable volume in dynamic sound environments.

I tested these settings on a jet flight days ago. Engine noise dramatically reduced with the Quiet mode. The Aware mode moderated the engine and other background noise as passengers boarded, yet allowed the flight attendant to be heard clearly giving the safety instructions.

Amazing that Bose design can allow voices to come through while still cutting background sound. Of course, the sound lives up to Bose high standards along with the case and the way the buds fit as the buds drop securely in place for storage and charging.

In summary, Bose designed one of the best, if not the best, earbuds for versatile, intuitive noise canceling, comfort, and great sound. Beyond that, those who want earbuds that stay in place as well will be hard pressed to find better earbuds.

I got this as a present on Christmas. I am somewhat of an audiophile – and in terms of overall sound quality, I have no complaints. The controllable EQ on the Bose Music app is a very nice touch. But I have a few questions: 1.

Why the design of the earbud? I truly believe it was a missed opportunity that these eartips just kinda sit on top of the ear instead of going inside. The natural noise isolation of any in-canal earbuds are superior and superb, as from experience, some of my deep in-ear EIMs I own are better at blocking out sound than every noise cancelling product I own, which says a lot.

It doesn’t block 100% of sound, but it would be nearly so if Bose’s QuietComfort technology was combined with the passive noise isolation of in-canal earbuds. Like… just why? You kinda ruined the entire point of the earbuds.

Because they only sit on the ear, they don’t block out a lot more of the sound without the noise cancellation (which in my experience is pretty good but nowhere near perfect) than it could potentially have.

I guess it may be from people who dislike earbuds going deep in their ear, but whatever, I guess. Also, it’s been a few weeks since having these but I’m still not perfect at putting them in my ear. It’s a learning experience in itself, just to wear the earbuds correctly, which although I don’t mind personally, I would assume many people would.

2. Is it intentional that there is a constant hissing sound when the noise cancellation level is below ~7? It makes sense that the “aware mode” (aka level 0 cancellation) picks up environmental sound, and has a slight hissing noise, but that’s just unreasonable when the noise cancellation is on at all.

The feature of external mics picking up environmental sounds and sending it back into our ears should be completely shut off if the noise cancelling is on at all, otherwise I do not have a choice between just having passive non-noise cancellation and aware mode… unless it isn’t intended and there is a severe flaw with the earbuds themselves? Ultimately, they are quite convenient and I guess it’s sometimes nice to have a break from having earbuds deep into my ear canal, as they are pretty comfortable to wear (although it took quite long to learn how to wear them comfortably), and considering their price, I would assume it’s better to pay a bit more for the new Sony WF-1000XM4s.

But since I didn’t pay for them, and they work as intended to the basic level, I won’t complain. I do use them almost everyday since I got them, which must say something. And again, they do sound nice.

People have been saying that the bass was muddy but honestly it sounds great, and is definitely a satisfactory product for bassheads.

So I’ve owned Bose Soundsport and Bose noise-cancelling headphones for several years now and have absolutely loved them. So when I wanted to update to wireless earbuds, I figured I’d go with Bose again because of their outstanding quality and reliability.

Sadly, my confidence in Bose has been severely shaken after purchasing these Quiet Comfort earbuds. Now, when they work they are pretty solid. I thought the sound was great, the noise cancelling worked well and the fit was fairly comfortable.

Unfortunately, less than a week after purchasing them the left earbud went dead while I was on vacation and wouldn’t charge. I tried all of the trouble shooting tips, but nothing would work. So I finished my vacation with one earbud (which was a pain) and decided I would would just exchange them when I got home.

After doing just that the new pair worked very well for a period of time. Of course wouldn’t you know it, but here I am on vacation again and now the right one this time won’t charge and the earbuds won’t work at all.

Of course none of the recommended troubleshooting techniques work (shocker) and I’m again stuck with dead earbuds while I’m out of town. I suppose when I get home I’ll see if I can return or maybe exchange them, but either way these earbuds have been nothing but a hassle since I bought them and I really don’t know if I can ever trust Bose enough to buy one of their products again.

Based on some of the reviews on here other people have experienced this issue and perhaps Bose should look into why it’s happening this often.

I was so excited to get these buds as I’ve been a fan of JBL for years, having a JBL soundbar. The sound produced is incredible. So I was sold on these buds, knowing I wouoldn’t have to worry about its sound.

The things most important to me was the alldged 10 play time that was advertised, and the water resistance. I bought these directly from JBL. Again, the sound qulaity was totally awesome. I can hear my music clearly in a loud environment as well.

So I bought these to use primarily at work. I average 9 – 10 hours a day. Well in using these buds, I was only getting less than 8 hours on a full charge with noise canceling turned off. They also displayed an intermittent connection were the sound would go in and out.

I thought it might be my phone signal but it wasn’t. Music and video kept playing during periods of unstable connection. It hapened every single time after I connect my bluetooth to my new S22 Ultra 5G.

I haven’t had any other these problems with any other bluetooth device. Then the 10 hour play would become less and less. I’d only get 6 – 7 hours of play. I then bought a second JBL Live Pro 2 from an authorized vendor because I felt the ones I had were possibly defective.

Since I only had the first pair for two weeks I sent them back for a refund. I got my second Live Pro 2, but the connectivity was exactly the same as the first pair. However, I’m only average 4 – 5 hours of play.

Again this is without noise cancelling on. Before returning the first pair, I had called tech support and was told the shortened battery life was due to the volume level and other reasons not listed anywhere on the box.

While these have incredible sound, it has too many major issues. Even my Galaxy buds 2 gives me more play time.

The plugs fit snugly in my ears and do a good job of blocking the noise of my chainsaw. They stay in place pretty well, even during alot of movement and hot sweaty work. A magnetic clasp on the back of each bud holds them connected when they are not in the ears.

After a recent storm that took down several large trees and limbs, I wore them comfortably for several hours and was able to listen to music while cleaning up the downed limbs without having to recharge the headphones or my phone.

Connecting to my phone was instantaneous. I had to look twice to find the charging port, but the cover flap does a good job of keeping debris out of the port when closed.

These are good work earbuds. I bought them to replace the Isotunes Pro’s I ran over with my truck. Are they good? Yes. Are they as good as the Pro’s. It’s close, either the speakers aren’t as loud or they don’t cancel out the sound as well as the Pro’s.

Also they don’t seem to stay in the ears super well. The magnets is what makes it close tie, when the earbuds touch they will prevent the earbuds from falling off your neck and will also pause whatever you’re listening to.

(The reason I lost my Pro’s) Next pair I get will be the Pro’s so I can hear the quieter podcasts. I think the Pro’s are a little better, but these will get the job done.

I bought these to use in place of the more heavier earmuff style hearing protection. They do seem to do the job. I do especially like the magnets to hold them when they are out of the ears and how using the magnets also interacts with Bluetooth.

I hope you find this review helpful, I work in a noisy facility and needed Active Noise Canceling to help me hear training videos and other videos! After thoroughly researching all brands I chose these! My Jlab Go Air Pops got damaged and was not allowing me to hear videos well! I did purchase extra a set of the Mnemonic Universal Cloud Foam Tips because silicone hurts my ears after a short time.

The small cloud foam tips made even more a world of difference to feeling better and hearing! You get approximately 11-12 hours of ANC playtime and I have mine turned up all the way! It really keeps the loud external noise out and lets me hear my videos real well! The Jlab Air ANC App works awesome as I can adjust noise canceling/be aware mode, this is absolutely awesome technology that Jlab puts into these I can clearly hear not only videos just fine and clear but if a co-worker talks to me the be aware mode lets his voice through without me having to take one bud out absolutely awesome! Also you have a equalizer setting with buttons eq1 through eq4 to choose from eq1=Jlab signature which is what I prefer it balances everything out just right for me! EQ2=Balanced it is ok but there again I prefer the signature setting, and EQ3=Bass Boost I use this on Electronic Music or other dance music really gives your ears a lower punch sound! an d EQ4= Is a custom setting on whatever way you want your equalizer set! Custom Controls is a great feature as well you can customize each earbud left and right to control how many taps on each bud does what this includes volume, voice assistant, play/pause, EQ settiings, ANC settings and track control, or choose to deactivate the buttons all together and use the app instead.

In addition there is a update button for the software in the earbuds to get the latest version it will let you know when it is up to date or needs to be updated! And finally on the app menu is the Auto Play/Pause Sensor on or off, this is when you take out one earbud the infrared sensor turns pauses what ever your watching to let you continue when you put it back in! They are absolutely awesome when I compared features to other competitors and at a fraction of the cost! More options for less money! Thank you JLab for exceeding my expectations and matching my needs in a pair of supreme earbuds!.

These are absolutely amazing. I researched for about 1 or 2 weeks in my downtime for a replacement for my Samsung buds bc they kept falling out of my ears. Really annoying in the kitchen at work. So I really wanted the ambient noise feature of the buds and these nail it even better in the Be Aware.

They are perfect replacements. The noise canceling to no settings to be aware, huge obvious difference in each setting. I used to wear my left bud battery out by 4. 5-5 hours in a shift and have to switch to the right, but these JLab Epic Air lasted longer and sounded better.

I hate you have to wear both to have the features like be aware etc, but I think I hear better with the be aware on especially talking to someone in a loud place, with light music for background. The microphones on these are brilliant its so wild how they literally enhance or cancels out noise.

The app is also really great but it does disconnect randomly sometimes. it’ll disconnect while still playing music lol. but fine for other qualities of the headphones. The foam bud tips would be fun if they didn’t crush when I tried to put them on, I really appreciate the different size options of the silicone tips tho.

I’m so glad I found these, yall get these over the Beats or Buds. I wear glasses and the over ear hook doesn’t interfere with my glasses arms at all. I do think it’s funny that when you look down into the case, the R bud is on the left and the L is on the right, but it works.

I swear you’ll love these over the other higher price options, try them and if you don’t like them return them.

I’ve been through four pairs of these earbuds – the original pair I purchased and the three replacements JLab sent me. All of them disconnect from my iPhone whenever there’s outside interference. Bluetooth and wifi use the same frequency, so in order to avoid interference issues, most Bluetooth products are programmed to jump to different frequencies when interference occurs so there is no interruption.

Unfortunately these earbuds don’t do that. When I use them at home or in my shop, they work great. However when I’m working on a job site with lots of wifi running or walking down the street past certain businesses or neighbors homes, whatever I’m listening to will stop playing, whether it’s downloaded onto my phone or streaming, it doesn’t matter.

These earbuds don’t jump to a different frequency. Whatever I’m listening to just stops playing. This doesn’t happen with my Bose Wireless or my JBL Bluetooth speaker. It only happens with these earbuds and it’s absolutely maddening.

I super appreciate JLab sending me a replacement pair three times. I genuinely do but since they all still have the same problem, it hasn’t helped. And since I bought the earbuds from Best Buy, JLab won’t issue me a refund, they just offer to send me more earbuds but I already know what that will get me.

I also called and spoke with a customer service rep in February and we had a long conversation and he promised me this issue would be looked into and someone would call me back. No one did. For your sake JLab, I hope you recognize the importance of resolving this issue.

All of this will be written with the iPhone user in mind, considering the iPhone is my primary daily driver device. I know the setup for Android devices is a tad different and requires to use of the Beats app, What can I say about these, they are Beats, and personally I see them as an improvement over their bigger brother, the Powerbeats Pro, considering they removed the ear hook (which actually became rather painful for me after a few hours for some reason), and added the non removable wing tip.

I also have a pair of Airpod pros, and those have been my go to device since Oct 2019 release so I will be mentioning a few of the differences since they are so close in features, and with the sales recently, close to the same in price points.

For starters, the H1 chip makes using these things with my iPhone, iPad and Apple TV a breeze to set up and to swap between devices, something I always enjoyed! The case is considerably smaller then the case for the Powerbeat Pros but slightly larger then the case for the AirPod Pros, which also affects the available charging power of the case itself, but I enjoy the smaller case as it is just easier to carry around in the pocket and as an added bonus, when closing the case, it makes that satisfying “click” noise just like the Airpods do (I know a LOT of people rather enjoy that and I am one of them!).

The case itself does NOT charge wirelessly, but unlike the Airpods, Beats used USB-C for fast charging, which for me is perfectly fine, but might be a deal breaker for some. They do include the same features as the Airpod Pros such as Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency mode, Spatial Audio and the ability to use Hey Siri for requests.

This also allows you to switch between those modes with just your voice or, depending on how you set up the buttons ( the b logo itself is a clickable button on both buds) you have the ability to assign them to either volume control or noise control depending on personal preference.

As far as how they fit, this might be an issue for some people. Compared to the Airpod Pros, the “body” I guess you could call it, is larger and might cause some discomfort to people. It is rather bulbous in shape, and if you have smaller ears, this might be problematic, especially if you are looking for earbuds that sit somewhat flush in the ear.

I still prefer the feel and fit of the Airpod Pros over these because of how my ears are, but this will differ for everyone. With winter coming and the temps dropping in some parts of the country (I am in Wisconsin sooo yeah lol), I find myself starting to wear my usual warm beanie hats, and this is where the Beats Pro fit became problematic for me.

That bulbous design they used, coupled with wearing a hat, caused discomfort rather quickly for me, as the added pressure of them being pressed into my ears eventually became unbearable (just something to think about if anyone works out while outside in winter, or just plain works outside and needs to wear hats) Sound quality and spatial audio (which is great on its own!) is on par with the AirPod pros, but I found that the ANC and Transparency modes slightly lacking in this department, even after using the ear tip fit test ( I got the good fit notification on both earbuds).

After using both, for me personally, it just seems like even though I passed the tip test, the seal is just not as tight as the Airpods, again another thing I assume is due to the design of the body of the buds being rather large.

This will of course be different for everyone as our ears are all different I am nowhere near and audiophile, but one thing I always loved about past Beats devices was their extra punch on the low end of my music, and while these do not disappoint, they seemed to have toned that down a little.

Even after messing around with the sound settings in Apple Music to increase bass, they really offer no noticeable difference over the Airpods. When making these, Beats was obviously targeting the workout community (water and sweat resistant.

not water or sweat proof) more then the casual user. While the wing tip does help keep them secure in your ear when working out or wearing them to work etc, on a personal level, they are less painful to wear for extended periods of time (unlike the Powerbeats Pro and the ear hook), and I will be using these more on a situational basis along with my Airpods.

At the end of the day, these are a decent sidegrade from the Airpod Pros, but it all comes down to user preference. Some love the Beats name, and with the price points being similar thanks to sales, you really cant go wrong with either.

If one has issues with the buds staying in your ears during workouts or general use, I would easily recommend these to that group, Beats did NOT disappoint with this offering.

First off, I’d like to note that I find the sound quality of these headphones very good. I’m not an audiophile but I think that all the customization features present within the app coupled with the ANC and transparency modes should leave the average user very happy and satisfied.

Yes, the ANC is not on the level of some other headphones that I’ve used but it’s definitely more than passable in every day situations, granted I haven’t tested it in the ideal environment to test ANC – on an airplane.

In terms of fit and comfort, I think these past muster as well. They came with the medium ‘wings’ already installed, but no gel tips installed. I went ahead and tried the smallest size gel tips (size 0 according to their scale) because those are the size that generally work best for my ears amongst all brands.

So, with the small gel tips and medium wings, I find these very comfortable and very stable. The wings are very soft and don’t bother the cartilaginous portions of my ears at all. Additionally, I’ve tried shaking my head and jumping up and down to try and dislodge these, but they don’t come loose.

I don’t even get the urge to try and push them back into my ears like I do with some other earbuds. So, I think Anker/Soundcore nailed it in these departments. So, then why only 4 stars? Well, I feel there are design and/or engineering issues that I just don’t understand how these issues could end up in the final, shipping product.

The case – I love that the method of opening the case is the slide back lid that Anker/Soundcore have used previously. However, I don’t love how slippery the case is. It’s a plastic, matte finish that just slides through your fingers.

I don’t know if this is to give the case a more ‘premium’ feel as compared to a possible future ‘sports’ version that may have a more rubbery case, but they should put function over form, not the other way around.

Next, the inside of the case is shiny molded plastic. The problem is that the shininess of the plastic makes it very difficult to tell in which direction to place the buds back in. Yes, you can see the charging leads as well as a little red ‘R’ to guide you, but even with those ‘hints’ I find it very difficult to figure out which way the buds are supposed to fit back in the case.

Now, taking the buds out of the case. Again, they seemed to have made this more difficult than it needed to be. The buds don’t have a good point of contact to grab onto, so they are very difficult to pull out of the case.

And, once I do finally pull them out, I end up dropping either one or both just trying to fiddle with them to get them in the correct orientation prior to putting them in my ears. That’s next – putting them in your ears.

I have a feeling Anker/Soundcore must have realized that these are confusing to get oriented correctly to put in your ears because they included a 4 or 5 step diagram the second you open the package trying to explain to you how they are supposed to not only fit into your ears, but how you’re supposed to hold them prior to putting them in your ears.

This should have been a red flag to either engineering or marketing that the design is confusing. Moreover, I think the diagram is incorrect! The way they want you to hold the buds prior to putting them in your ears doesn’t make sense – the picture shows that you have to hold them with the gel tips facing ‘up;’ however, it’s literally impossible to put them in your ears this way.

So, I actually think that’s a mistake in the quick start guide. Regardless, the good news is that once you do finally get them out of the case, oriented correctly in your hands and then into your ears, the sound is great and the fit is comfortable and secure.

Once you’re done listening though, good luck getting them back into the case in less than 10 seconds and with less than 2 slips out of your hands and less than 2 twirls of the buds to finally get them in the right orientation to snap into the case.

Sony have asked me to review these while they are looking over my pair that I’ve had for a little over 6 months which are currently having an issue with low volume in one of the earbuds. I’d include a few pictures but I’ve not seen my earphones for a few weeks now and am told there is a delay in getting my earphones fixed.

The build quality is okay but not great for the price, I think the overall build could be better really. They are quite plasticky which makes them light but they feel as if they could be broken quite easily too sadly.

A massive pro though is the fit and in particular the foam ear tips. Together, they are very comfortable and create a good, passive seal. I can happily wear these for extended periods without any issues really.

As for sound quality, I am happy overall. For the money you can definitely get better but I think you are paying for the compact, wireless design and features like ANC and ambient sound which in loud environments can make listening to audio through these much easier.

I think it is worth mentioning that these come with LDAC which I have found to massively improve audio quality when connected to my phone – it seems to have pretty good latency too. I would say these are detailed enough and can have an EQ applied using the Sony app to better tailor them to your taste but these ultimately feel like they offer good enough clarity across the board but lack in sound stage, especially when compared to even some budget IEMs.

I feel like the ANC and ambient sound deserve a bit of attention on their own. They are definitely an improvement over the previous model and I would say I prefer them to what some of the competitors offer.

The ANC is quite subtle for me, I feel as though I get most of the benefit passively with how good the fit and the ear tips are anyway. The ANC definitely drowns out some background noise but not all in certain settings, it preforms best with low noises like the hum of an engine but leaves a bit to be desired even what cranked all the way up.

The ambient noise mode is the stand out feature for me – extremely clear and can be adjusted to let more or less outside noise in. Very handy to just use the passive noise isolation and then let some noise in this way and compared to the competition the noise that is let in sounds less artificial to me.

Overall I think these are great but then you really expect that for the price they go for. I’ve tried a few flagship wireless earphones now and settled on these as my favourites. I can definitely recommend them assuming money is no object as I do think they are a bit expensive for what they are and I am a bit concerned about their longevity due to the build quality.

The sort of person that will enjoy these will want good audio quality but also want a convenient design with a solid feature set and likely, they are a jack of all trades and do many things well but don’t really master much overall.

I bought these after having a pair of the over-the-ear WH1000XM2 and was initially a little disappointed because of the leakage. The buds really do need to fit well, which requires rotating the body over towards the back after inserting them.

They sounded a little flat at first and I opted for a slightly brighter preset, which sounded great at first but were a little fatiguing so I went back to the flat setting and they sound much more natural.

They may have needed a little burning in. The app has some features that I have dabbled with, such as sensing your activity but it isn’t so good for activities such as cycling because it constantly switches modes when not peddling.

There is a useful wind noise reduction setting because these really do pick up wind noise when walking fast, running or cycling. The best feature is the focus on voice feature, which for me is a blessing.

My autism makes some venues and surroundings quite distressing but the focus on voice feature allows me to communicate a little better in most environments and I can activate it by talking. They are also far less conspicuous than the over-the-ear versions.

They are different though and present the music differently but these are far better for outdoors and traveling in terms of convenience. It is also handy that the case acts as a battery and tops up the charge on the earphones and the app will tell you the charge of each bud and the case.

When inserting them the battery level for each bud is spoken. The control features aren’t quite as good as the bigger ones because there is no room to have swipe gestures. There are only up to three taps and a long press, and you have to choose a preset for each bud, which means I can no longer change the volume as I use the skip control instead.

I tried the Google assistant but couldn’t get it to work and the auto backup setting doesn’t seem to work either but I’m not keen on these features anyway. For me the fidelity and convenience are far more important and now I can take my music to many more places and while doing other things.

Before my journey with these, I’d mainly use my Focal headphones at my desktop PC or my Campfire Audio IEMs when not at my desk, but with being driven crazy after all this time WFH and makeshift + shared office space, I knew I needed a TWS headphone w/ ANC.

Fortunately for me, when I’d finally decided I was going to buy a pair, this model had debuted and I went in store and bought it at day 1 MSRP. It was and still is apparent that its technical capabilities, sound signature and other ‘audiophile’-relevant attributes fall just a bit short of my regularly driven headphones on these many fronts.

But, I realized given how much convenience was provided to me. at $280, and at what is effectively minor losses on these various aspects, I was elated with my initial trial period. After several months, I’m still very happy with them, especially since how sublime its UX has been – seamlessly switching ANC to Ambient noise profiles, and simple, yet surprisingly robust Android companion application.

The only issue is their terrible mic’s call quality for voice on any platform, on any device. I’m clueless on how their ambient sound is even any good. I just make sure I’m at my desktop for any actual significant work meetings.

As far as sound quality itself, I feel like there is definitely unit variation because I feel that my unit has been more balanced than headphones’ YT or crinacle’s written reviews have made it out to be, but for the rest of its attributes, I find that their described characteristics during their reviews have been quite spot on.

The only thing is, from a view-point of these IEMs as an audiophile lifestyle product, they have been incredible. At this point, I even use them more than my actual ‘audiophile’ headphones, but I’d probably blame my work life balance for that, however, for any of my own friends & family, I’d say they are far more than good enough.

I wish I could include an actual TWS comparison, especially since I also recently just acquired the acclaimed AKG N400 on sale for an insane $48. But I haven’t gotten around to even opening them and I want my 25 BB reward pts now.

In all honesty, despite decent sound quality when you finally manage to connect these, these are on par with any other $5 Bluetooth headphones from the dollar store. Its should be illegal to sell these for $100 let alone advertise all the bogus features it has like “noise cancelation” which is doesn’t actually have.

The amount of problems these things have for the price tag is ridiculous. Despite no damage or misuse, one earpod will always disconnect or refuse to pair, or somehow pair as a separate device seperate from the other earpod (how is that even a thing), headphones always making random annoying noises every few minutes while in use despite full battery, audio randomly cuts off all the time and resumes, charging these things can be a nightmare with the cheap USB port on the case which doesn’t grab the charger at all, you literally have to rest the case against something at an angle while its plugged in or the charger will easily fall out of the charging port.

On top of this, most of time it will charge for only like 30 seconds when plugged in then stop charging unless you unplug it and plug it back in (really like how?) Oh and the most annoying thing, anytime you plug these these things in to charge, you literally have to jump start the headphones to get them to turn on again.

By this, I mean that anytime you plug them in to charge, you cannot reconnect to them via Bluetooth unless the USB charger is plugged in while you’re pairing them despite them having full charge already.

If you charge them, take the charger out, then try to pair, the headphones will not even turn on when you open the case unless the charger is plugged in, even if you clearly just charged it to 100%. These things legitimately have a mind and personality of their own.

Somedays they can be semi-normal, other days they will cycle through every problem i just mentioned. Yes, this happened all straight out of the box. JBL, your company should be ashamed to be selling such garbage, ill never buy a product from this mediocre company again.

I knew I should’ve taken the same amount of money and just bought apple earpods instead which would have actually worked like regular Bluetooth headphones and lasted years, unlike this garbage. These things are good for if you feel like solving a puzzle everytime you want to listen to music, bc thats what these will feel like.

Funniest part is everything I said has been said by others in reviews prior to me buying these. I wish I read reviews on these before buying. How these have over two stars for reviews is proof that these childish companies fake their reviews instead of making solid products.

Big L, on this product and your company image JBL, ill personally never waste a single calorie of energy even making eye contact with a jbl product ever again. As soon as I buy actual functioning Bluetooth headphones I’m going to stomp on these until I feel like I got a $100 workout from a personal fitness trainer so I can atleast feel like I got some moneys worth out of it.

If sound quality is your primary concern when shopping for portable audio, then look no further than these JBL Tune 230NC TWS earbuds. As expected with JBL, the sound quality is superb — full, clear and well balanced with crisp highs, natural mids and proportional bass at all volume levels.

There’s also no artificial “hyper” bass like some brands use to fake a big sound at the expense of true sound quality. Even better, use the companion JBL app to create a custom EQ profile that totally suits your listening preference! Added noise canceling really makes a difference in creating a pristine listening experience.

When activated, my surroundings virtually disappear allowing me to more deeply experience my favorite music in minute detail. I find noise canceling is most effective at canceling steady droning sounds, like fans and engine noises.

For times when sound isolation is not desired or would compromise safety, I can change modes to “Ambient Aware” and the earbuds will actively blend the environmental sound with my audio allowing me to stay connected with my surroundings.

I find this useful for outdoor exercise or public shopping where ambient awareness is necessary for safety and courtesy. I found the pre-installed medium sized tips to be just right for my comfort and I have worn them for many hours at a time with no fatigue.

They are surprisingly comfortable and stay in my ears better than other stem-type earbuds I have tried. Additional tip sizes are included for adaptation to different ear anatomy. Incoming phone call audio quality is excellent, but as with many similar type earbuds, the experience for the caller is somewhat compromised by the marginal quality of the microphone technology.

People I call tell me that the outgoing audio is clear, but they can also tell I am calling through earbuds and the sound is a bit “off”. One minor downside I have found is the controls are a bit difficult to navigate (-1 star) as there is a single active “tap” point on each bud that accepts single-tap, double-tap, triple-tap and long-tap gestures, each invoking a different command, and the other bud accepting the same gestures invoking yet another set of commands.

I find I am very often missing the right number of taps or getting confused and tapping the wrong bud. This can be alleviated to some degree by the companion app which allows some customization of the gestures to suit your preferences.

The printed “Getting Started” guide that documents the tap gestures is painfully small and difficult to decipher. I would rather see the command interface simplified with additional tap or squeeze points, such as on the stems, to not overload so many commands onto a single tap spot per bud.

As stated, sound quality is where these earbuds shine, and overall, I’m thrilled with my new JBL Tune 230NC noise cancelling earbuds and find my music enjoyment has been taken to a new level. Highly recommended!.

These earbuds provide very clear and pure sound, and are loud enough as well. Battery lasts much longer than I can listen to music continuously, and the case holds for 3 full recharges. They fit firmly and comfortably, never had problems with them falling off while walking or cycling.

They do not stick out of the ear too much and do not make me look funny. Touch controls work nicely, after you get used with the exact place of the touch sensors. Bluetooth connection is stable and without interruptions.

The tap combos are a bit of a weird solution for controls, but they do a fine job after you memorize them. I miss a strap and a small hook for the case – I’d like to strap the case to my keychain or be able to carry it in my hand without having to be all-careful about not dropping it.

Some people say active noise canceling is not as good for a high class product like these earbuds, but I found it to be perfectly fine. The ambient aware feature is a very good idea. Sometimes the noise canceling can make you miss important details of your surroundings, but the ambient aware feature makes this problem non-existent.

Hands free calls are fine, I haven’t had any complaints about people not hearing me clearly. The app is a bit annoying, popping up, asking to connect every time I start using the earbuds. This must be an automatic and background process, not bothering the user with unnecessary interactions after the initial setup.

I’m thinking of uninstalling it. A codec better than AAC would be very nice, aptX or LDAC for example, although few people would notice the difference in sound quality. Anyway, such good hardware can easily handle and benefit from codecs more advanced than SBC and AAC and it’s a shame they are not supported.

Overall, these earbuds are excellent, the case and app need one or two finishing touches. Don’t forget to set the streaming app to high quality sound to fully enjoy your 100 wisely spent dollars.

I’ve had the Elite Active 75ts for a few months now and use them daily. To preface, I don’t like “true” wireless headphones. I prefer the neck band setup for a whole host of reasons. This is only the second set I’ve owned.

I’m thus not a super fair reviewer. I also purchased them factory refurbished so take that as you will. On the other hand their quality is unimpeachable. The comfort is inferior both to airpods and to older Bose earbuds that were as light as these ones.

But they stay in my ears much better than air pods and they are generally easier to wear all day than than the new wireless Soundsport offering due to being less bulky. If you’re the kind that doesn’t like shoving a gel into your ear canal however, you’ll want to avoid these.

A lot of their noise cancelation relies on essentially being ear plugs. Which brings us to the ANC. Jabra allows you to program this to your preference through the app much like the sound profile itself so your mileage may vary on this score.

After several attempts to calibrate the ANC in both active construction zones and busy public spaces that would create the right noise for it I can’t say I’ve noticed any real differences however. The “calibration” seems to me like a silly gimic at this time.

That being said the ANC is better on these than on the Skullcandy offering and even sort of begins to approach the absurd quality level you could expect from Bose or Airpod Pros. Admittedly much of this is thanks to them being, again, literally ear plugs.

But given the ANC feature on these was a software hotpatch? I’m exceedingly impressed. They also have a “hear through” feature that in theory would let you hear without taking them out. I hate this myself.

It picks up and amplifies white noise in this mode. While you can more or less be aware the whole world sounds like you’re hearing it through a military radio. You might as well just take them out in any circumstance you’d need to hear through them.

The personalized sound does seem to work pretty well. I like the new tendency of earbuds to test my old hearing and tailor music to me. Unlike the Skullcandy offering these did show marked improvement in sound quality after allowing it to run the calibration test.

They also needed less tweaking after to bring bring out the quality. Although these headphones still just aren’t as capable of producing some of the depths and brightness of their more expensive competition they come very close once you set them up for yourself.

In my experience they allow you to clean up the mids that most good headphones at this price muddy. Bass is still good, though I found this harder to set to my satisfaction. The buds will sometimes deliver a thumping bass that manages to make me simultaneously makes worry for my ears and marvel at what might be most balaced bass I’ve experienced in bud sized headphones.

Mostly though, it’s just the same slightly disappointing implication of bass that all well balanced buds give. The battery life and charging box are both very good, easily competing with more expensive offerings.

I did shower with them in a couple times since Jabra pushes the waterproof thing as one of the active model’s main features. They continue to work with no issue. I don’t find shower headphones useful, but it does mean that I could have one fall from my ear while on a roof, drop into a ornamental pond, and by the time I fished it out 5 minutes later I would just have to flick it off and put it back in my ear.

All in all, they’re good headphones packed with features. If you want these but don’t care about the waterproofing though buy the 85ts. These come so close to be amazing headphones that I suspect the 85s are really immensely satisfying.

These are my first in-ear headphones. I love music and have a number of over ear headsets and a few classic earbuds as, when I’ve tried them in the past, in-ear models have been uncomfortable. Happily, not these; once I figured out how to put them in properly I’ve been able to wear them for hours with no issues and that seal out a lot of noise passively.

(The active noise reduction is a great feature and works well but I don’t see myself using it often as the passive reduction is enough for me. ) Now for the sound. All Jabra app settings flat with no customisation.

They are not as ultimately resolving as my best headphones but 1) I didn’t expect them to be and 2) music is very enjoyable without anything that really frustrates me and this is a very pleasant surprise.

I listen to a very wide range of music and have played a lot of different types while testing these. Bass is smooth, extended, impactful and satisfying while not overpronounced. It’s easy to follow the melody in the bass runs without feeling the the bass is just another percussion instrument.

The midrange is clear and detailed and the highs are clean and precise. Cymbals and high hats come through clearly. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and I’d easily recommend these to anyone.

Wanted a quality set of earbuds. While researching earbuds on the net these always came out with good reviews. I’ll start with the good. These earbuds fit well and are extremely comfortable. The do not fall out of your ears.

I am totally impressed with the sound quality. The Jabra phone app is excellent – it has an equalizer, you can program the push buttons. The push buttons are way better than any other earbud touch buttons I have tried.

The hear through feature is excellent. Now the bad. They drop bluetooth connection intermittently especially when walking, if you turn your head just a little bit the connection is lost for a second or two.

This happens way too often for the price of these earbuds. If you are just sitting listening to music they do not drop bluetooth connection but I bought them for walking. If you want to use only one earbud you can only use the right earbud.

I wish that Jabra would make it so that you could use the left earbud independently instead of just the right. Would I buy them again, probably not because of the bluetooth connection problem. If it wasn’t for the bluetooth connection problem I would have rated them a 5.

These “ISOtunes WIRED Noise-ISOlating Earbuds” were thoroughly Horrible! It has weird Earbuds, (the flanged one, shown in the photos was NOT one of the ones in the package I received); also, (should one bud become ususeable, or be lost), their Tips are NOT Interchageable.

I tried it with two different tips, (and since I have very narrow ear cannals), there was only one set of tips I could use. They SOUND HORRIBLE! In Audio Terms, they have absolutely NO High Frequencies (which make Music sound good).

They have none! They sound as if I’m listening to music through Cotton Balls. It is unacceptable (even if just for Voice, since (again, in Audio Terms) what makes Voices Understood, is the very thing that is missing, in these earbuds: The High Frequencies (Just ask any Old Person, with Hearing Loss, and they’ll tell you, it’s the lack of High Frequencies which makes them Hard of Hearing.

As for their Design: They seem very flimsy, without any reinforcement at the points of connection between cable and earbuds. I do not recommend these, for anything. — WARNING: About Buying from THIRD-PARTY SELLERS–Walmart physical stores are NO LONGER ACCEPTING Third Party Seller (In-Store) Returns.

While attempting to return this item at a brick and mortar store, the attendant refused to take it; she stated it was now the Customer’s Responsibility to contact the Seller, Request an RMA, print it, take it to the local shipper; (good luck if the seller’s phone voicemail is full, or when it is an incorrect number, you cannot reach them, except by email).

Just purchased and loved the noise cancelling, but not great for traveling in urban cities (need to keep abreast of environment). Sturdy cord, but is better if not mobile (gets caught/tangled). Sound quality is awesome, but not for when relaxing – do not lean on your side and put pressure on the ear bud, mine cracked and now only one side works.

Audio is superb for calls, but not so much as a mic – had too many complaints that I was not heard well enough to continue call without holding the cord close to my mouth (defeats my purpose for buying these cool looking soft ear buds).

The ear pieces are good for arriving in different sizes, but I had to constantly re-adjust.

It does filter some noise and conversations can be heard through the headphone/earplugs. The down side is that call alerts don’t come through the headphones but through the phone speaker. If the earplugs are in your ears any outside noise blocks out the phone ringer so you don’t hear an incoming call.

Tried a replacement set with the same results. Used a different brand and all worked well on my Android phone.

TLDR; Great sound quality, Great fitting (even for something with cauliflower ear), Great for working out, Great build quality and design. Minor connection issues and very niche issues with customization within the JBL headphone app.

I have been using JBL products for a while (6 years). I have 3 different Charge 3s, the JBL Extreme 3, and some basic JBL wired headphones. The Bluetooth speakers are great products and have lasted much longer than expected.

I am notoriously rough, and borderline destructive with electronics, so all of these speakers have had a rough and long life. I previously owned a pair of JLab’s Epic Air Sport wireless headphones. I have been hesitant to use any headphones that do not secure or attach themselves due to using them for working out and the associated risk of falling out.

In addition, I have cauliflower ear which makes regular earbud retention a little more difficult. JLab at the time was the only wireless headphones that met my requirements. But after testing a pair of my wife’s in-ear earbuds and having no issue with retention or fitting, I decided to upgrade to a new pair of wireless headphones.

Being impressed with JBL’s previous products, I decided to get a pair made by JBL. The Vibes were too small and didn’t really fit, the Endurances were similar to the JLabs I had, and wanted something sleeker and simple.

The Tunes 230 fit well and met the requirements I was looking for. Out of the box, they fit great. I took them to the gym the next morning to test their retention while working out. They were great, even when running on a treadmill or outside on a trail.

I even tested them while doing some GHD Sit-ups and Back Extensions, no movement or any sense they may fall out. Saturated in sweat and still working as normal/designed. The sound quality is great! Just like the speakers, I was impressed with the quality of sound and the ability to adjust with the equalizer.

Good highs, and noticeable impressive bass for an earbud. The build quality is great! Solid and simple design. Again, I am little rough with electronics, and I have dropped both the earbuds individually and the case with the earbuds inside.

Other than an aesthetic scuff, there was no noticeable damage and they still work just the same. The main issue with these earbuds is the connectivity and customization. Note: I have ensured the JBL software is the most up-to-date.

The headphones do not always automatically connect to my phone. I have to end up putting them back into the case, closing the case for a moment, and then taking them back out again in order to get them to connect.

This is extremely frustrating. With the speakers, turn them on and they connect. With JLab’s earbuds, take them out of the case and they connect. I do not know what the issue is with JBL’s earbuds, but they do not always initially connect automatically.

In addition to connectivity, customization is limited. While the JBL Headphones app is great and offers more than enough, you are unable to customize headphones for individual use. I know this is a very niche situation, but as great as everything else is, it would seem this customization would be possible.

I put the headphone in to listen to music, not the surrounding environment. And in addition to the no noise canceling feature while using only one earbud, you are unable to adjust the equalizer as well.

I feel like the few issues they do have are not deal breakers, but I am a little disappointed in JBL. Before buying these earbuds, JBL was the pinnacle of wireless/Bluetooth sound and audio, something I would without hesitation recommend to friends, continue to buy their products myself, and be on the lookout for their newest greatest innovative products.

But these issues feel like an unfinished product and would suggest JBL is lowering its standards. Even though JBL’s lower standards still may be higher than the competition’s, I am now skeptical and not nearly as adamant about JBL.

After buying JLab Go Air Pop on a road trip, I began realizing the benefits of being able to use just one earbud. I purchased these ANC earbuds directly from JLabs upon returning home, and love them.

When wearing both earbuds, I can switch from noise cancelling, to better hear music or podcasts or audiobooks or to help me focus on a task, to “be aware,” and pause/resume, to converse with colleagues at work or family at home.

I can set “be aware” mode, then return one earbud to the case, keeping music on without disrupting others or cutting myself off from what’s around me. While I don’t wear them when driving, they are very nice to use when a passenger in a vehicle.

Music can help keep me calm or focused, but headphones or earbuds can serve as a sign to others that I am unwilling to communicate, so having a more discreet option is sometimes helpful, and has improved some people’s attitudes toward me.

When I need to really tune out distractions and be productive, I can do that by putting in both earbuds and setting them to ANC with a tap or two. If I want it to be obvious to coworkers that I can’t hear them, so they are less likely to interrupt, I wear a cheap pair of headphones over the earbuds, and tuck the plug into a pocket or drawer.

The sound from these JLab ANC earbuds is much better than the headphones, and the noise reduction is a daily benefit.

These are my first wireless Bluetooth earbuds. I purchased these for watching TV and possible wireless studio recording. I purchased a Bluetooth transmitter/receiver separate to make this happen through my stereo headphone jack.

My problem with this setup is an almost ½ second delay/lag (audio/video syncing lag with lips) while watching TV and Recording/Tracking in real-time is IMPOSSIBLE. I’m assuming if you’re a gamer this will be an issue as well.

The earbuds don’t sound bad for price range. Tap functions are a little tricky to remember and get right. Did not have trouble pairing as some do in the reviews. I had to charge them first (left one was not charged and took a couple hours to charge) With that said I have not tried to pair with my iPhone or iPad yet.

Only because that is not why I purchased them. They may work just fine with them considering Bluetooth pairing with phones are more common. But I still feel there will be a “lag” regardless. Would be just fine if you’re just listening to music only with no real-time needs.

May be fine for phone conversations as well. I have researched “Lag Issues” on line and there is no perfect solution with any Bluetooth earbuds no matter the price. Low-Latency transmitters still have a lag.

But all in all the earbuds do their job it’s just a matter of how annoying the time delay with video is for you. So far I have no reason to “bash” these earbuds at all. Just be cautious of what you want to use them for.

I would recommend these to most people over any other headphones because of their value proposition, there are two issues that I have had with with them and the first leads to the second in a way. The first issue is the size, the case is not small if you want to put it in your jeans pocket.

The second issue is that if the lid comes open they may connect to your phone and then may not disconnect when the lid closes, the fix is to reopen and reclose the case, that only had a tendency to happen in the car when I had the case in my pocket and I really think it was only a problem because the case didn’t fit brilliantly into my jeans pocket.

So now to the good, and there is a ton to like about these. The case doesn’t have wireless charging but the usb cable comes built in and is reversible even though it is a USB A end. I think this was a brilliant move as I’m always trying to find a cable for my headphones and if you have a larger case and no wireless charging this is a really nice way of making that an advantage instead of only a drawback.

The case itself has 3 white LED lights that tell you a basic state of charge for the case which is really nice as I will forget to charge my case and find out I have head earbuds sometimes on other earbuds.

The battery is awesome, I have used these on and off throughout the day for the last week and finally gotten to a low charge on the case. The 40 hours plus they advertise seems like they weren’t kidding and I also used ANC on and off during that time.

Talking about ANC, they aren’t kidding about that, if you truly want to tune out the world put in the cloud foam eartips and turn on ANC. The closest experience I have from another product are my wireless noise cancelling earplugs made specifically for the range.

The Be aware feature is nice and allows me to hear the environment pretty decently. The sounds quality is really good and even ads some base, obviously these are wireless and will never be at the same quality as a wired headset with a Hi Def music source but for wireless they are good and even can even handle some bass.

Then there is the giant advantage that both buds connect at the same time and don’t stop playing when I take one out. I love this feature, when playing music when out and about I might take one in or out, but more often than not I will do that while talking on the phone, other products seem to need both buds in to use the mics I’ve found.

I use my Dad to test microphones on as he has a little hard time hearing and if he can hear me loud and clear I know anyone I need to talk will be able to hear me as well. He can hear me loud and clear and better yet that is with one bud, so I can have one earbud in and be having a conversation and then take the other out of the case and switch it up for my ear’s sake and it works without a hitch.

Speaking of working without a hitch the Bluetooth connectivity is awesome, I recently upgraded my phone and my other Bluetooth ear buds have been terrible at connecting (like if I put my Duo in my back pocket they will loose connection, which is the Duo’s fault) I’ve found that my over the ear wireless headphones can be used and now these without an issue from halfway across the house, which is to say that these have an extremely good antenna for truly wireless buds.

So I started with 4 stars and then moved to 5 as I wrote this review, yes the case is annoyingly big to me, but these are honestly better than many other products I’ve used and if you are looking for true ANC then these are definitely a top competitor in that capability.

The ability to switch between buds is extremely important to me as well which makes these things rate extremely high in my mind. In the end I think this is what I would tell my friends if they asked me which earbuds they should buy.

“If you don’t like the type that have rubber or foam tips (my wife is like this) or you want it to live in your front jean pockets all the time and not in a backpack or cargo pocket then you might look at something else, but other than then that these are hard to beat for what they bring to the table” Pros: -Both Buds work by themselves -Long battery life -Tune out the world level ANC -Changing cable built in -no visible lag in movies -Excellent Mics that work flawlessly with only one Bud Cons -The case is large.

I’ve been using these earbuds for everything from working out to FaceTime for the past few weeks and I’m so far happy with their performance. They are one of the only earbuds that stay in my whole workout without flying out during burpees or sliding out due to sweat.

I like the noise canceling because it really helps me focus on just the music and the weight during lifting. The sound quality is decent but doesn’t have much bass. I wish they were also a little louder.

During FaceTime calls there is no weird echos and the person on the other end can hear me very clearly. The mic works perfectly. I am happy with the long last battery and that I can go even longer than a week without having to recharge.

They fit into my ears perfectly and offer 3 sizes for the soft earbud tips. I like the nice sleek design of the earbud itself and the case. The case is nice and matte and the buds are high gloss. The only con I have is the lid to the case seems very cheap and flimsy.

I am worried I will snap off the lid at some point. Overall I am very happy with them and would recommend them to anyone that needs an ear bud to workout in but also can be used for their mic as well.

I would say that these earbuds are exactly what you should expect when buying ANY headphones beyond 2022. USB-C, wireless charging, and a decent case to boot. The case doesn’t feel “premium” but it certainly isn’t the star of the show and gets the job done.

It can withstand a little bit of shaking before it opens, but I feel like storing it in a bag or backpack may not be safe. The headphones themselves sound fine. There isn’t much too special about them as far as sound goes.

They connected to my phone within 30 seconds on the first try – easy and no issues. The ANC is a little tough on these because it is hard to get a perfect seal with only the ear tips, but that’s also what makes these buds so much more comfortable than most.

Overall, decent buds with a decent sound. There’s nothing bad about these buds as they hit all the minimum milestones a good pair of headphones should hit.
