20 Best No Drill Magnetic Knife Strip (2023 Updated)

I really like having this magnetic knife bar. It was easy to assemble and set up. It’s lightweight, and heavy duty. It holds up the knifes really well. The bar actually holds about 6-7 of my knifes; depending on size.

I feel confident with thr bar holding my knifes for sure. It’s made of great quality and it’s definitely room saving!.

This magnet knife board is just exactly what I needed! Helps eliminate clutter on the kitchen counter and allows more space. I hung it close to where I’d work in my kitchen around the counter area. Alot easier to get to each one of the knives hanging on the magnet bar.

You see each one and that helps to get the one you need. The magnet bar also holds other utensils as well that you need to find easily. Great product recommend.

We have some good quality knives that we kept in our kitchen utensil drawer but it wasn’t a great safe spot for them. This product was super easy to instal above the counter, is very strong, and saves lots of space and time.

I don’t have to worry about the good knives getting banged up in the drawer or cutting someone’s finger when they grab the tongs. The bar holds the knives really securely yet it is easy to pull them off.

I love it!.

The ONLY thing I dislike is the instructions for hanging. There are 3 screws. two for the first end, which have holes, and makes total sense. the other end has no holes and I had no idea where to use the screw.

(I know this sounds like a dirty joke, but its totally real, people!!) I had to call an engineer friend for support. Once that was done, it’s perfect on my wall, saving space in my limited silverware drawer.

Love having the knives (and also scissors!) accessible.

I was hoping to get rid of the knife block on my smaller kitchen counter. Unfortunately, this strip is designed in such a way that it is impossible to mount. It’s been too long now to return, so I guess I’m stuck with a couple of useless magnets.

The magnets are quite strong so the device does the job of holding knives and tools safely and securely. The design is industrial, no-frills, and appropriate to the task. The mounting system is simple: two detachable plastic tabs that hide the two required screws; you should not try to use sticky tape on this device because of the mass of steel it will be supporting.

The perfect solution for space saving while securely and safely storing your knives. It can hold a lot of knives on the bar, and it holds them up really well. The knives also aren’t prone to becoming magnetized either, which sometimes happens when keeping knives on magnet bars.

The magnet is super strong so no worries about slipping off. This won’t dull your blades and is a hygienic way to store them as well.

The obvious location for the installation of this magnetic bar was on the side of our range hood. It would easily stick to the steel and would put the knives (including several large chef’s knives) right at hand and therein lies the problem.

Our home is located in northern California and is subject to the occasional earthquake. The bar grips a knife fairly well, but not well enough to retain its grip during a temblor which could put the cook in harms way.

The family voted not to install it which is okay by me. it is safer and will give me a great place to hang my tools in the garage. The knives go back to the drawer!.

Great alternative to a knife block on our counter top. Saves a lot of space and has a strong magnet to hold knives. Knives always in full view for easy choosing. It was very easy to install on our wooden backsplash; but if you mount it on a surface like tile etc, I would caution those who are not handy.

you’ll need a special drill bit and screws. Highly recommend.

Installation is simple with two very long screws. After 6 months of use, there have been no signs of it breaking or failing in its purpose. The double strip of magnet is reliable, never allowing a knife to fall if properly placed on the rack.

I’ve wanted one of these forever so when I saw it on clearance at BB&B, I had to get it. I knew it may not be 100% perfect, based on the beat up box, but I was really disappointed as to how much damage to it was done.

the small dents can be fixed, but the scratches are there forever now. I went back to the store the very same day to see what could be done. Because the store was going out of business, they declined to give my $ back, refused an exchange (even though there were plenty on the shelf), and wouldn’t knock off a few bucks.

So, this is the stores fault, not Zwilling, so I still have it 4 stars-it is very heavy, and I’m hoping the knife set I’ll buy will cover most of the scratches.

Was rather disappointed. Shipping Package was definitely”homemade” and original product packaging was non-existent. Product was in three pieces in the shipping package. overall, it looked like refunded mdse.

Also, construction of product was lopsided, edges were not matched. appeared that factory QC was less than on the ball or were rushing.

This magnetic knife holder is awesome! It comes with mounting equipment (screws and the plastic housing) and very safely packaged. It is in a cardboard box and bubble wrap when i opened it. The grip strength of the magnet is also really nice; strong enough to hold up a butcher’s cleaver, but not so strong that you can’t easily pull knives off.

The magnet is completely hidden within the wood and looks beautiful!.

Pro:Strong magnets (almost a little too strong), which will have no problem holding knives in places, including cleavers. Wood aesthetics. Wood also makes me less paranoid about accidentally chipping my knife, whether that’s actually true or not.

Con:Unlike the metal magnetic bars, the magnet/attraction is not as uniform. In some areas, the knives tend to shift toward where the magnets are hidden. Not too big of a deal for me, but it does feel weird for the first few days.

This magnetic knife strip has improved the efficiency in our kitchen. There is plenty of space for a variety of knives (currently using it for a chefs knife, serrated knife, paring knife, and kitchen scissors).

The strip holds the knives well (no slipping) and provides great access for ease of use.

Not the sharpest knife in the drawer. but now even sharper on the wall! I love it! I can see which blade I want at a glance and no longer playing musical blades. I got rid of that unsightly dust collecting bulky block it was in, and it freed up some counter space.

I even got a great price on it during Black Friday deals plus free ship! You can’t beat that! I was a little worried that the magnetic portion wouldn’t be strong enough, but it works perfectly! The only thing that was really worthless was the hardware that came with it.

I replaced it with plastic toggle drywall anchors (3/8″- 1/2″). I won’t worry about pulling it out when I pull the knives off.

I tried mounting this and to do so you need to remove a plastic end cap and mount it on two screws 13 inches apart, per the directions. 13 inches is not wide enough to make so it doesn’t wobble. I adjusted my screw a half inch and it was wide enough but the plastic end cap will not stay in the holder.

The end cap is what holds it to the screws. This makes the KNIFE holder fall from the wall. Also the magnet is pretty weak. I am returning it.

I’ve been wanting to get one if these to hang my knives up on the side of one of my cabinets and not the wall. (Problem is i have old cabinets that are original to my almost 80 year old home and they are low.

So nothing fits quite right on the wall under the cabinets. ) and the cabinets are not wide enough to hold the standard 14 in Bar. but my husband was able to easily cut this bar to the desired size and replace the black plastic end piece.

So for the price and customizable aspect, plus the magnet itself is plenty strong enough to hold 5 decent quality knives securely. What more could i ask!.

Great magnetic strip. The magnet is plenty strong for anything that I put on it. I use this to store tongs, knives, spatulas, and anything else I can get to stick. My only gripe is that the included hardware is very small and not of the highest quality.

Use your own screws if you have them. I would recommend this product.

The eighteen inch black magnetic knife holder strip with hooks is no joke. Especially compared use to use against other brands. The size, weight, sustainability and strength are unmatched. The fit perfectly across any counter or wall and allow for easy knife or tool access.

They are resilient and clean very well.

For those who that might still have a knife block, I’d highly recommend looking into a magnetic strip. Not only does it take the knives off the counter and give more counter space, you can clearly see which knives you have ready to go or which might be in use else where.

Definitely a must if you’re limited on space or want to organize it all a little.

I had a knife block but hated it because it took up counter space. The magnet storage bar allowed me to keep them on the back splash and allowed me to see all the knives so I can grab what I need easily.

When knives are in a drawer or in a block, you have to look for what you need and it could be some what frustrating. Another advantage is that I bought some nice knives from Japan and wanted to display them.

I highly endorse this product. The only issue is installation could be a little tricky since there was no instruction but it wasn’t hard to figure out.

When I got it I was suprised how big it is. WOW. MY PROBLEM IS, IT DID NOT COME WITH ANY INSTRUCTIONS. There is two small brackets, one for each end. One has two holes, the other has none. And it comes with 3 screws.

??? I DONT KNOW HOW TO MOUNT IT??? I put no because I don’t know if I can even get it up on the wall. Otherwise its quiet lovely.

I received this magnetic knife strip and to my surprise there were no instructions on how to mount it to the wall. It will not be easy because of the way it is made. If we cannot get it to mount correctly, it will be heading back to QVC!!!.

This magnetic knife holder was exactly what I needed to keep my sharp knives w/in easy reach, but not cluttering up my utensil drawer. I also opted not to get a knife block to store them b/c I don’t like areas that are hard to get to when I’m trying to clean.

With this knife holder, the magnetic strip can be slipped off for a deep clean and easily slipped back on its wall attachment. Most importantly though, the magnetic strip works really well and holds the knives onto it very tight.

I’ve had it installed and in use since the end of 2020 and no problems so far; I’m very happy with it.

I planned to put this on the side of my refrigerator for easy access to my range. I have little wall space to hang it on. It came with pieces and parts to hang it but without instructions. The back is hollowed out so I filled it with layers of double stick tape.

It seems to be holding up well on the fridge. It isn’t a pretty tool, but it has freed up some dearly needed counter space where the knife block once was.

This magnetic strip falls off the wall every time I remove a knife. I had to hold it down when removing a kinfe. It was installed propery to the wall, but the magnetic strip is seprate and would detach itself when used.

I eventually replaced it with a better quality strip. Cuisinart.

Mounting on drywall was easy with the included anchors. Just make sure you drill two holes perfectly level with one another. It sticks to the fridge very securely too. The magnets are very strong. This might not be the best choice if you have a hard, brittle, carbon steel knife that you take special care not to chip.

The magnets are so strong that the blade kind of gets slammed against the bar if you dont carefully and deliberately avoid that. It looks great and Im definitely not worried about anything falling off of it.

I love how strong the magnet is and the length was perfect! However, be aware, the screws and anchors included are not to be trusted. The anchors aren’t worth the plastic they are made of. They came right out of the wall when I attempted to attach the magnet.

Make sure you use good screws and anchors purchased elsewhere.

Needs to enclose mounting instructions to make it easier to mount. How far apart are the holes to be drilled? What is the bit dimension to use for the screw mounting? Once installed it works very well.

It is sturdy and holds the knives securely.

not strong enough magnet strips to hold tools. strips are too narrow. please don’t waste your time and money on this style/brand. this will not hold the weight of tools. the tool must make contact with both strips simultaneously to have any grip at all, and it must be the metal part only touching both strips.

if you accidently graze the tool hanging, it will fall down. my tools are small, about 5-6 inches,hardly any weight, and these narrow magnet strips just cant do the job. I wondered about that before buying, but I took a chance.

I shouldn’t have second guessed myself.

It’s smaller magnetic surface along with it’s weight made it unsecure on the bar otherwise\n\nIt works very well with Command strips if you want to avoid screwing mounts into the wall\n\nIf it’s like mine the wood on the piece could use a good rub down with food grade wood preservation oil upon receiving it (tung, mineral, camellia, etc.

)\n\nDo that prior to mounting it and let the oil soak in for at least a few hours before wiping off any excess and mounting \n\nMade in Maine! \n\nExcellent product.

Good overall piece. Attractive design, strong magnets, and fast shipping. The only criticism I have is that it would benefit from a harder wood like oak or teak. I have very sharp Japanese knives and if they even graze the wood it leaves a mark.

I treated myself to new knives at Christmas and decided against another bulky knife block. I love the simplicity of this design and how the metal of the magnets became part of the visual. I’ve pared (ha!) down my knife collection and it fits into this snug space between backsplash and upper cabinets.

This has got to be one of the top 5 best purchases we have made from this site. I debated for a long time whether I wanted to take my knives out of the huge block on the countertop b/c I didn’t want the kitchen to look “messy” with the knives exposed.

However, I have very little counter space so I finally decided to try it out. I felt like it was a great deal price-wise, and I am never going back to using a block to hold my knives! If you take an extra second in sticking the knives up when you replace them, making sure to just get them straight instead skiwampus, it actually looks really nice! Everything is kept easy to grab.

You know which knife you are going for b/c you can see them all. For some reason, it encourages us to just hand wash and quickly dry the knife and get it back in its spot rather than leave a bunch of dirty knives laying around for later.

The magnet is strong enough to hold our heavy kitchen scissors, which I love. We cook a lot and it’s surprising how many knives it can actually hold! I put at least one upside down, but most of them I’m able to space them upright and just far enough apart to make them easy to grab without knocking others down.

It’s far enough back that the knives are not reachable by little kids. I loved this one so well that I bought another for other utensils (b/c I also don’t have much drawer space!) I don’t use the hooks with my knives.

Some utensils are not magnetic, though, so it’s great to have them for those few. Happy hanging!.

This is a great knife holder. I have a collection of the knives now and needed a new way to hang them. My previous method was a wooden wall piece with a small shelf and individual magnets per knife. On many an occasion I would hit the abutting knife and knock it off.

This new unit allows me to put each knife where I want it, not where I have to put it. It will hold the smallest knife to the largest knife without me nervous about my safety. I wouldn’t trade this unit for anything else.

I have to say, for this price, this product is great. I had absolutely nowhere that I have space to screw this into a wall, so when I realized that the side of one of my reach in coolers was magnetic, I bought two of these with plans to attach them so that one side could be the magnet holding onto the wall and the other will face out and hold the knives.

While I wasn’t able to do this with the hardware included, I happened to have two longer screws that did the job perfectly! I only screwed it together with the outer screw holes and it works like a charm.

I installed this in my 26′ RV model Ice Castle. I have 2 fillet knives and 3 kitchen knives stuck to it, and I pulled it across northern Minnesota and Half of North Dakota, and they were still there!! Those roads are horrible! It looks great too.

I have had this product before & after trying others found this to have the strongest magnets for knives & other utensils. Only complaint is that the screws were missing. My husband is handy & was able to hang, but others may not.

I bought the knife magmatic strip a few weeks ago. I have not used it yet. My kitchen is going to be remolded soon. I’m looking forward to decorating my new future kitchen with Zulily kitchen items. They have so many unique kitchen items.

This looks lovely an I love the length (22″). It works for ‘regular’ knives but does not hold the heavier, more expensive knives. I have a chef’s knife that won’t stay on – and this is the knife I use the most.
