10 Best Ladder To Get On Roof (2023 Updated)

I got this for my landlord who has done so many helpful things for me because I’m disabled with severe Rheumatoid Arthritis. I many not have said anything but all his tools are decapitated and so I saw how us ladder look and it had seen better days.

Even tho he’s in his 40’s it was like watching a little boy on Christmas day opening his favorite gift. Don’t tell him but it really touched my heart. He felt like the richest man in the world. I wouldn’t have missed his joy for anything.

This is a really good ladder. It was a little heavier than other ladders that I saw, but was a whole lot more sturdier than the lighter ladders. This ladder was also a lot easier to raise and drop back down.

Definitely a great investment for me. I do HVAC and needed something that could help me in and out of attics safely. This ladder was exactly what I needed.

What a unique and useful ladder. I came as advertised, a 16 1/2 ft ladder that fold down to the size of a suitcase making it possible for 1 person to carry and possible to stow away very easily. Highly recommend this ladder, very handy and sturdy.

Purchased this to use while working on the gutters of our house. Much preferred to a conventional extension ladder. Have been using it as a sturdy “step ladder” but can transform to an “extension ladder” when needed as well.

Only a fraction of the space needed for storage as well.

My husband bought this ladder after we moved into our new home and its the best ladder ever. This ladder has a spot at the top of the ladder to hold all of his tools, paint cans and all other necessary items in completing a honey dew project.

I am so excited as I am no longer needed as a day laborer to hold tools or hand tools while he is on the ladder as all of this is accessible to him. Who ever thought of this is a genius and hopefully they got full credit for this feature as it really is a time saver and probably saved our marriage from many “discussions” as i am no longer giving unwanted advice while he is doing the project.

Excellent ladder! This ladder is strong and sturdy but relatively lightweight to lift/carry compared to similar ladders of the same height. The top tray is fantastic because it allows you to take a variety of items up on the ladder with your without risk of them falling off.

This ladder has feet that make it feel more anchored and less likely to slip around. It folds relatively flat for storage. Top quality for a reasonable price.

This is a fantastic ladder! Very sturdy. Very usable. I have a similar 10-ft, but it’s too tall for my current garage rafters, so it’s a pain to use. Going to the 8 foot was just the right thing!

From the day I bought it I’ve had problems getting the ladder to come back down. The flippers and springs are defective. When it’s fully extended I have to lay it down and hold the flippers out to get it to close.

I also bought 16 and 20 ft aluminum extension ladders that do the same thing. My 20 year old ladders work fine but the new ones are total junk. Done with werner.

Purchased a 24ft Equalizer ladder from a Big Box store. I use the ladder a few times per year. The black plastic clips that push the extension locks around the rungs when lowering the extension have developed a flat spot on them and do not allow the extension to be lowered with the rope.

I have to lay the ladder down and manually prevent the locks from engaging. I’ve been directed to a website to purchase the entire lock mechanism; $38 to solve a problem for a $. 25 poorly designed or defective piece.

I saw a question on a Werner Q&A page where someone had the same problem. So it’s not a new or isolated problem. I expected my ladder to last a lifetime; very disappointed. Poor quality or designed obsolescence?.

I’m 140 lbs and this ladder is a pleasure to handle and move around while cleaning gutters, even while extended. It is appropriately stable; I do not experience any undue swaying while climbing or working on it.

I previously had the D1328-2 which weighs about 13 lbs. more. That’s a significant amount of extra weight that I grew tired of dealing with. If you’re not a heavyweight, this ladder will do just fine.

I needed an inexpensive, solid, lightweight ladder to change some bulbs in my 10′ ceiling. After scouring the internet for the best price on a ladder that would meet my needs I settled on this one from Zoro.

I’d never heard of Zoro but took a chance and ordered, figuring if it arrived within the week I’d be happy. I couldn’t believe it when it showed up on my doorstep just 24 hours later!! Amazing!! Exactly what I wanted, great price and great service.

I just test it but really I didn’t use it yet. -It’s very strong, the steps are deep/wide enough and really strong, so in my opinion it’s strong, stronger than other brands I saw and touched. -When you fold some of the other brands they are thinner by 1″-3″.

I mean less deep. -It’s very light as well [it sounds funny light and strong] but yes that’s the case. -So for me it was good choice, more over when I saved $ 20. 00 comparing to the other brands.

It’s a sturdy stepladder, yet lightweight enough for this grandma to carry from place to place. I recommend wearing gardening or work gloves to work the latch that folds/unfolds the stepladder, to avoid pinching fingers.

Would have preferred the 5 footer, but it wasn’t available in CA, so I went with this one. Love that it’s so lite-weight and works for jobs around the house.

Perfect size for use in the house. Easy to fold up and lightweight enough for me to move around. Safer to use.

I love this ladder. It is the perfect size, the price was reasonable, and it is easily managed.

I use the same one at work and it does the job. I like the twin step which is why I bought it. Was trying to buy one locally but it was a couple of weeks for delivery. I got this in two days. Could have been handled better in the shipping.

(Scratched in a few places and a couple of stains and some deep scratches on the plastic top, since its not in a box just a few straps to keep it closed) The hadling during shipping could be better after all I did pay for a new ladder.

It is a bit on the heavy side but it is a twin step. Made in Mexico not the good ole USA. The top has openings for holding tools,two small trays and a couple of magnets built in for holding hardware.

Exactly what I wanted and it is the perfect height. I am quite sure this ladder will serve me well. Steps on either side, so that two people can comfortably climb together and there is grooves and holes for each user to put tools, screws etc.

Great 2 person ladder. How many times have you been up on a ladder needing more than one set of hands? With these double step ladders you can have someone right there with you giving you a hand.

I use twin Werner ladders solo and as platform bases for make shift scaffolds. It’s imperative that I have a stable ladder. I’m an installer of high end product in hard to reach areas. Great footing is a must I won’t sacrifice for a more affordable option.

The twin steps allow another installer to foot and hold the ladder in place for the person climbing the ladder (especially when the climber is encumbered by product or gear). Other ladders have flimsy support brackets that only aide in keeping the A-frame ladder legs in place.

Twin ladders have actual steps. Twins also don’t have to be repositioned as much. In an emergency a rescuer can climb up the other side. While not in use: This ladder should be stored indoors to preserve the fiberglass and protect it from the elements.

The ladder is very tough if cared for properly. If there’s to be one: The only negative is the weight yet that was to be expected of a 375 lbs rated 12 ft. twin fiberglass ladder. I will most likely purchase the 16 ft twin ladder at a later date.

It’s stable and a very solid platform at 12′ up. That said; it’s heavy to carry far distances. It’s retail price is expensive and worth it. Zoro was very accommodating with the beginning of the year sale.

Free Shipping does not exist with product of this size. Only the legs are tied together in shipping, otherwise unprotected. We keep our ladder indoors to preserve the bright Werner orange fiberglass.

Zoro is a subsidiary of Grainger. Knowing this, I’ll be looking into store pick up for my next large ladder purchase. Zoro customer service is top rate.

The value of any tool, including ladders, is determined by it’s ease of use. If it’s a pain to use, you’ll always hate using it and regret buying it. I hate using this ladder. I own three Werner fiberglass ladders — 5 ft, 6 ft and 7 ft.

I never realized, until I bought the professional 7 ft model, that the hinge mechanism is different between the different weight classes. The professional models use a single pivot point and the hinge attaches on the inside of the ladder rails; on the other models the hinge has two pivot points and the hinge attaches on the outside of the ladder rails.

The professional model is a joy to open and close with a smooth easy action. The non-pro models, like the 6005 I own, is an absolute struggle to open and close. The two pivot points means there is twice the friction in the action of the hinge and that makes all the difference in the world.

This would be a perfect ladder if the professional hinge mechanism were used. I wish I could replace the hinge mechanism on the non-pro models I own.

I purchased a PD6206 from a local retailer. I love the idea of a podium ladder! It is definitely more stable and the podium lets you work more securely than a standard step ladder of the same size. What I am frustrated with is the ladder does not come with protective packaging.

The retailer did not have it in stock so I couldn’t see the product before I purchased it. The fiberglass on my ladder have some severe scuff marks and the aluminum steps and braces have burrs so that you can cut yourself while climbing on or off the ladder.

The retailer says that they have had multiple issues with the freight companies in the last few weeks. I’m processing a return. Hopefully the ladder that they are shipping in its place arrives in good condition! Hopefully Werner will start putting some protective material around the ladders so they don’t have to scrap out damaged products!.

The ladder is the right item as we require it. It is used for access to trailer mounted refrigeration units and is normally carried by our mobile engineers who are very happy with it. Never a problem with ordering etc, very impressive.
