20 Best Hoverboard With Bluetooth And Lights (2023 Updated)

Bought this for my son for Christmas and he loves it. The only problem is the app is complete garbage and will not work at all. It crashes over and over again and you can’t accomplish anything. You can’t play music or change the lights, etc.

without the app so those features are useless because you literally cannot access the app. We tried multiple phones, installing and un-installing, restarting, etc. and nothing works. Reviews of the app show that many people have the same issue.

Not sure why they don’t fix this, it’s just awful and makes the whole thing suck. The actual hoverboard is nice, sturdy, works well, but I would not have paid so much for something with features that we can’t use, I wish I had purchased a different brand that had reliable features.

A beautiful box was on my stoop when I got home today and as I unpacked – totally – totally in awe of it all. Carefully packaged, vivid pictures and instructions, getting it out you realize this is not some cheap toy.

Got it charged and started. Super easy set up and minimal assembly. Now my 25 year old son will not stay off of it. The colors on the wheel are AMAZING at night, vivid and really draws attention. The size of the platform for your feet was a concern of mine but turned out great.

I am a woman’s 11 and was deathly afraid I would have issue balancing my big feet. NOT A PROBLEM. The size is perfect! Love love loving it.

I purchased the Flash for Christmas. My 8 year old son had outgrown his other Jetson. This board has so many features! Flashing lights, you can even set different colors with the Jetson app. He loves rolling around while jamming out to his favorite tunes.

The Bluetooth speakers are very loud! I love the fact that I can control the sensitivity and speed. The Flash is very well built, and the tires seem to have no problems riding on different terrain. If you’re in the market for a hoverboard, you can’t go wrong with a flash! You can’t go wrong with Jetson!!.

I purchased the Rogue hoverboard for my daughter as a Christmas gift. It was cracked on the end when we took it out of the box & the wheel on one side keeps sticking so she couldn’t even ride it. I’ve put in a service request since we have a warranty & I registered the product & sent pictures of the damage as well.

Unfortunately 4 1/2 months later I have yet to hear from anyone regarding fixing or replacing the product. We are very disappointed. What was supposed to be an awesome Christmas gift is just collecting dust.

My son received this for a Christmas gift with the JetKart attachment. He was so excited to try it out and the hoverboard died after driving only about 20 feet distance (on a fully charged battery). This continued to happen even after disconnecting the jetkart.

After charging again today he got it to drive for approximately 5 minutes before dying again. We are all so disappointed in this product.

The Jetson J-Beat Hoverboard has been fantastic to have in the house for my kids!! During the Winter time especially, the kids have boredom and drive each other crazy so this hoverboard has kept them so busy you hardly notice anyone quarreling! It keeps a long charge and my kids run it a long time before it needs another charge.

It’s quiet, colorful with different colors depending on your mood. Easy to ride, easy to love, easy on my carpets as welll as hardwood floors. My husband and I thank you for this wonderful pass time for my kids.

Wow!!! I can’t say enough for this Jetson J-Beat Hoverboard. Where do I start? It looks like fun, it lights up, 5 different light settings, and sleek and perfect size. It works amazing and we had fun learning to maneuver it.

Smooth ride and holds up to 220lbs so the whole family enjoyed it. The instructions were helpful but honestly you have to jump on to really get it. It comes with the charger and has a simple indicator light to know when it’s charged.

I highly recommend you try this and enjoy the hours of fun it gives you. Great product for big kids young and older alike!!.

Picked this one up for my 12-year-old’s birthday. From day 1, he was an expert, even though he has had no previous experience with this kind of product. Very intuitive. Heck, I have even taken a ride or two myself without failing so far! At this point, I can’t get him off the thing.

He honestly rides it around the house doing chores (see pic attached). Very quiet in the house and works great outdoors for driveway and sidewalk riding. Yet to test out the off-roading. Lights and colors are terrific.

This hoverboard was super fun for the first 20 min but then the middle piece of one of the wheels literally broke off. It was making a funny sound right out of the box but we just figured that’s what it must sound like but this was probably an indication something was wrong because the sound got louder, my son said it felt a bit off, and then it broke.

He had only used it inside our house and for such a short period of time, we were shocked. This was his big Christmas gift that he has waited two years to get so he was devastated. Fortunately Target demonstrated excellent customer service and gave us a refund on the defective product.

We have gone through 7 other hoverboards, 3 different brands (four Hover-1 My First Hoverboards, two Rydons and a Jetson Plasma), since Christmas and we’re getting a bit frustrated with the lack of quality.

This one has continued running without problems for the longest, but immediately, the charging port became loose and now it has come right out of the casing and dangles and drags on the ground when my son rides it.

Not sure if my husband is going to glue it back in or try to return/exchange it for yet another.

Unlike some of their other offerings, the Hover-1 Blast isn’t very flashy. When turned on, aside from a couple of blue strips of light at the front of the hoverboard and the thin, rainbow patterns on the wheels, this device is an all-black color with no standout features.

The center of the board has a battery power light and a symbol indicating whether a person is standing on it. Made specifically for children and individuals under 160 lbs. , the top of the board has two, small foot mats to step on and find one’s center of gravity.

The manual says it generally takes 3-5 minutes to get comfortable on a hoverboard and recommends spotting your child to make them feel more secure. The Blast does not travel very fast. It moves at a steady pace, which is great for children just beginning to learn how to use a self-balancing scooter.

My kids are familiar with hoverboards, so this board did feel a little bit underwhelming to them, but it really is the perfect size for kids around their age and size, in the second to fourth grade range.

I appreciate the care and safety put into the Hover-1 Blast. The operation manual for the board does a wonderful job with a thorough safety checklist, recognition of local ordinances for use of the device, and details with regard to both passenger safety and machine maintenance and operation.

It really does go to great length explaining all precautions and warnings for using the board in order to give you some peace of mind. The Blast comes with a power supply cable which takes about five hours to fully charge.

The board can take you up to three miles, but I found that my kids didn’t want to really leave the house with this board due to its lack of speed. However, that did not stop them from really enjoying their rides around the house.

Overall, it is a great little beginner’s board for the little ones and a nice secondary to a more fully-featured self-balancing scooter. The Hover-1 Blast is the perfect option for a parent who wants to introduce their children to hoverboards, and it is a great stepping stone they will use to learn the ins and outs of these devices safely.

The Hover-1 Blast exceeded my expectations as a Electric Self-Balancing Scooter. It is easy to use, relatively fast charging, and surprisingly more controllable than I thought. The kids have fun taking turns on this, and protective safety gear is a must.

While it does a good job balancing, there are still some falls. Out of the box, the scooter comes ready to be charged and used. The kids were definitely excited to get a turn, and took them quite a bit of learning to feel comfortable using it with out help or holding on to something.

It is rocker activated, so leaning a forward tilt with the feet will accelerate the scooter forward. Standing flat will coast the scooter to a stop if using some speed, but will stop pretty quickly if going slow, and leaning a backward tilt will accelerate the scooter backward.

It has cool looking LED lights on the wheels and on the standing pad to give it some fun flair. The scooter has a weight limit of 130 pounds. The build quality of the scooter is really solid feeling and sturdy, but I would probably say it would operate better for kids under 100 pounds.

The foot pad is also only so big, so kids with big feet may find it uncomfortable riding it. It gets moving pretty swiftly at 7mph on flat ground, but It looks like it struggles a little bit on inclined side walks, or inclined driveways.

It does handle cracks in the sidewalk ok, but isn’t the greatest on uneven surfaces. You definitely get the best results riding on flat pavement. I would avoid riding on loose rock or gravel cause if you fall that is a nasty injury.

Learning to steer on it is also a bit difficult. Overall, the kids love it and really enjoy riding it. It has a pretty decent battery life but seems to go quick with 3 kids wanting to keep getting turns.

I just charge it overnight after the battery runs out and it is ready for the next day.

We got this for our 11 y/o because she has wanted one for a long time. She has a Razor electric scooter and the quality was good so we went with that brand. So far the hoverboard has performed well. The tires have held up to the concrete/pavement well.

It charges fairly quickly and lasts for almost an hour of continual use. It does move pretty fast if you really lean into it so I recommend a helmet, for sure. It weighs more than I thought it would, but that seems to be consistent with the quality build.

If you have an older child that is looking for some fun, I definitely recommend one of these. I would be on it myself if I wasn’t 200+ pounds.

I give this board an overall rating of 5 stars because it has 20-30 minutes of fun when used with the kart attachment. I could use it as a hoverboard, but getting out of the car can be challenging for me and my kids.

You definitely don’t want to ride it without taking proper injury precautions. It’s a snappy little thing that charges quickly. I do wish the battery life was longer and then it could keep up with the other EVs we have.

My 8 year old loves this best and takes it everywhere. Cons – When the battery gets low, you can have a hard time stopping; when the kart attachment is on, you have to keep your feet on the ground, like Fred Flinstone, no kidding! This thing has its own agenda, and I’ve only actually heard it once or twice after it gently signaled low battery.

I would buy another one if the battery lasted longer and didn’t fail when the battery was low.

It only took about a half hour after charging to be able to ride slowly and cautiously. I started on carpet in a large open room and I think that helped, I have yet to have a significant crash. After riding a couple times a day for 4 days I am pretty comfortable and am really amazed at how well I am doing.

Most of the people I work with are amazed I haven’t crashed and how I zip around the office throughout the day. It seems to be working just fine, the speaker is loud enough but is far from what I consider to be “good sounding”, it gets the job done.

It takes quite a while to charge and doesn’t last very long riding around on carpet, maybe a half hour or so, but my legs get tired before it runs out of juice. If I continue to enjoy riding it and this thing lasts long enough for me to learn on, I’ll probably look into a higher end brand, but the reviews on those are a bit sketchy as well.

I would have no reservations about recommending this board to anyone wanting to give it a go without too much cost, so far so good and this thing is a blast!.

The Hoverboard was a gift to my 9 year-old nephew. I was hesitant that it would not be a smooth ride or might end up having problems with charging and what not. But for months now, he has had such great fun on it! His 6 year-old sister is also now an expert.

It’s just amazing to see them float about on the board so naturally! It has exceeded all my expectations. Zero problems so far. It was a lot less expensive than some of the other brands which were more than 3 times the price I paid for this.

Worth every cent! Highly recommend for children. Of course with all the precautions needed in case of the inevitable falls during the learning phase.

If you do not want your child just playing with the cardboard box and leaving their Hoverboard in the corner, buy this Hoverboard or one with the rugged 8. 5 in wheels. This is the 3rd All Terrain hoverboard I have purchased since June.

My granddaughter loves it. It is very safe and sturdy. The bluetooth is a plus but not needed. We live outdoors most of the time. She can ride this board all over the grass and dirt for hours. The first one I purchased was a GoTrax SRX and it was awesome.

It got too hot in the sunlight and the battery would not power down. It kept running. The 2nd one said it was all terrain with 8 inch wheels. The wheels were slick. The hoverboard vibrated ferociously when not in balance.

Although we haven’t opened this yet as it’s an xmas gift for my Son, the experience with this seller has been nothing short of amazing. When the price lowered they refunded me the difference, when I had an inquiry about the shipping they were very fast at replying.

I got this for my daughter who is 10 with the hover cart as a Christmas present and very unhappy with the board. my daughter was actually thrown backwards off the board while standing completely still because it is extremely “jerky”.

I first thought she may have been goofing around with it but she was thrown off the back several times with myself and other adults as witnesses. I got on (I’m 4’11” 97lbs for reference) it did the same to me, no matter where the board was or who is riding it, but it feels like there’s a wire that isn’t connected properly.

The hoverboard will just jerk short, fast, and hard on one side/wheel. I had downloaded and set up the app on my iPhone to control the maximum speed, music, lights, etc. per the instructions from the hoverboard package and the app setup instructions.

We can change the lights but they don’t stay to the setting we choose, the speed limit doesn’t work at all-we set it for 8mph and she was able to surpass that speed according to the “speedometer” in app, the Bluetooth is so spotty whether the phone is right next to the hoverboard or left in the house you are lucky to make it through a sign without having to reconnect Bluetooth, the lights don’t go to the music like the app/product advertise, etc.

so many flaws in the safety and technology that my daughter doesn’t feel comfortable riding without the cart attachment and I don’t either. We have issues with the hover-cart wanted to still move when someone is sitting but at least they’re not getting thrown off the hoverboard.

I bought the first Rave, and I think I got one with some type of issue. The small silver screws holding the top half to the bottom just started falling out on their own while my son was riding it. I finally decided to reach out to the warranty department, shout out to them by the way, informed them of the issue we were experiencing, and I was half way thinking that they would say its my son’s fault.

He’s rough with toys sometimes, but he really enjoyed this one and was never overly rough while riding, or doing anything that would cause this to happen. They ended up having me send it to the factory to be assessed and then a verdict would be rendered.

A short while later I got an email saying it was on its way back to me, and to our surprise, we had a brand new (replacement) hoverboard. This one hasn’t had any of the same issues the first one did.

Customer service was great, warranty department was a pleasure to work with, and besides the lemon we got to begin with, the hoverboards has been a great addition to our fun arsenal.

I got this hoverboard to replace an older version Jetson that just stopped working properly even with recalibration. My daughter really likes this one. It rides good for her but when I tried to go on it was too difficult for me, I needed her assistance lol and I feel its too sensitive for ME, like I said, its perfect for her.

I messed with the settings a little bit and they were perfect for her at the advanced level. When I tried to take them down to beginner or immediate, she couldnt ride it and neither could I; so I just keep it at advanced; she is 8 and she is a pro I guess lol.

Bluetooth works great, have to have the phone in your pocket in order for it to work/stay on. The pink is a chrome pink. I wish I would of known that before purchasing,however, it doesnt really matter.

The lights are really cool and you can change them however you want to in the app. The app works fine for me but some users gave some issues, I have not and Ive used Jetson apps for years!!.

So before anything, I highly recommend watching a tutorial. By that, I mean a real tutorial of someone who is a pro, not someone “trying it out”. Watching the right tutorial can make the difference between loving it vs liking it.

Learning the how to’s, as is how to mount, balance, techniques, care of your hover and more are of upmost importance. Downloading the app was quick and I was playing tunes out of my hover instantly. Changing the color of the lights is easy with the app and keeping track using GPS and more with the app is a breeze.

I ensured I had my safety gear as recommended in the instructions, especially it was my first time using a hover board. While I have excellent balance on roller skates, bike, skateboard and more. the type of balance needed for the giver is slightly different as the board is very sensitive to your body/foot movements.

You can use a combo of foot/ankle vs body position to manipulate the hover to command it to move where you want it to. after a while it seems like you both become one and it can read where you want to go.

The ride is smooth and the hover is powerful. It’s has a decent weight to it so it’s not flimsy and well built. It has safety features in place to prevent fires as explained in the pamphlet in the box.

I recommend not playing music until you’ve become comfortable with riding it and learning some techniques so you can focus on where you are going and not getting lost in the tunes. The hover really packs a pinch and gets you on your way.

Watch our for bumps and be ready to launch off when on uneven terrain. knowing how to get off is just as important as getting on. It’s recommended to charge for 6 hours first time around and not to surpass the 6 hrs.

A change in light indicator will notify you when a full charge has been met. The sound of the speakers are impressive.

I find myself in a weird place in my life. I’m going to be 40 next year but I’ve always seen these “hover boards” and thought they looked neat. These 2 ideas conflict with each other in my head but here we are now.

So this was my first balancing scooter “hover boards” and I was pretty timid when trying it out for the first time. I read the instructions (more or less skimmed through the countless safety precautions) about how to get started and took my first steps.

I didn’t fall! I still haven’t fallen. I think I’m still on easy mode and haven’t really pushed this this to it’s limits but it was still pretty cool to just get on and roll around without falling down.

A very weird feeling. The science in these things is pretty crazy. So setup was a breeze. I removed the board from the box, downloaded their app and it connected to my board pretty quick. It even lets you connect to the board as a bluetooth speaker.

It’s not a great speaker and I don’t think I’d ever use it when I’m outside because I don’t feel like blasting my music for the neighbors but I guess it’s there. There’s like no bass to the speaker at all so it’s probably just a last ditch thing if you really need a bluetooth speaker.

Point is, the app connects right away and it’s really necessary to use the hover board. The biggest positive is the ability to “Skip” account creation when you load up the app. I haven’t seen much functionality lost by not creating an account.

You need to skip the account creation every time you open the app after it closes, though. The app has a few neat features. It has a “mode” setting that you can use to set your experience level with the scooter with beginner, intermediate and expert (I stuck to beginner).

It gives you the battery level and mph and even some “total” stats. Then you can use plot your trip with the GPS. You can also adjust the lights but the options are a little limited. You can do some solid lights, strobe slights or random.

If you have bluetooth connected, you can also do a music visualizer mode. I barely noticed the lights when I was riding, though. Riding was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I followed the few recommendations in the manual they give you for first time or beginner riders and, although I was a little shaky at first, it felt pretty easy to gain my balance and start moving around.

I definitely have some work to do with turning but it felt like I was getting better as using it pretty quickly. I don’t know if I can do much about the battery life on this thing. I have no idea how to compare it to others.

The product says it lasts 6 miles on a single charge but I feel like this is completely dependent on the rider. My beginner riding might be able to get a lot more out of the battery since I’m not pushing it to max speed (ever) or anything.

The battery doesn’t seem fantastic but doesn’t seem bad either from a beginner’s perspective. One thing that I noticed right away (again, as a beginner) was the inability to traverse over fairly small bumps or cracks without some speed.

It makes a lot of sense but it was something I didn’t think about before getting caught up on a couple of cracks while moving around quite slowly. I don’t think this is a knock against the hover board, though.

I think it’s more about the rider’s abilities and understanding what works and what doesn’t over time. Overall, I like this thing and I’m going to try and get better at using it. Luckily, it’s a pretty warm November so I can get a little more experience in before the winter takes hold.

While the lights and stuff seem unnecessary since I barely noticed them while riding, I can imagine they look pretty cool to other people. I’m not sure how beginner friendly most hover boards are but the fact that I have yet to fall off of this one (a couple close calls) yet makes me think either they’re all this easy to use or this one is just that good for beginners.

I’m not what this means, really. If you’re in the market for a hover board at this price range, I’d say do you research and see how this one compares and if it checks all the boxes you’re looking for, I can recommend this one.

Unboxing was easy and all the parts were in great condition. They also give spare screws incase you lose any. Pulling the plastic off of each part was easy as there was already one end with an opening.

All parts are tucked in the styrofoam so they shouldn’t be broken either. Assembling was a breeze and only really took like 15 minutes. No one should struggle with putting this thing together. I’ve experienced products that were much harder to assemble.

Finding the correction orientation to place the pedals to screw them in was the only thing that tripped me up, but you can figure it out after a minute of thinking. The user manual was also a good guide for assembly – the pictures are clear and parts are labeled and organized.

As for the ride itself – connected to bluetooth in no time and followed the direction for leveling out the cart. Took it out for some spins to test its limits and I’m honestly impressed. Controlling the cart with the handles was way less finicky than I thought it was gonna be and the ride was actually smoother than I thought it would be.

The battery is also pretty impressive I didn’t think the hover-board would last as long as it did. There’s a battery indicator which is a great feature that I haven’t seen other hoverboards have. And lastly of course you can just remove the hoverboard from the cart assembly and ride it around as well which is fun.

They give extra velcro strips on top of extra screws so you should be good to go for a long time. Everything you need comes included. This product is fun for kids and adults, the only thing is I wish it could go just a little faster but it’s still definitely fast.

Where to start. well we bought 2 of these karts for our children for Christmas (2021). Almost $500 for 2 of them. Pretty expensive for so many problems in such a very short period of time. First after opening the boxes we discovered that BOTH boxes were missing the bolts to assemble (as now I see most people had the same issue).

So, we had to go buy the bolts from Home Depot so my kids could even ride them when the weather became nice out. Then the velco straps broke after only riding them 3 times. The straps rub the ground causing them to break and release the cart from the Hoover board.

My 5 year old (55lbs) nearly flew off the cart at 9 mph when the straps broke. Both broke! Not safe at all! So, after much thought we decided to use heavy duty zip ties instead of the velco ones after seeing how they broke.

The zip ties seem to holding up well after a month of riding them and they are way less expensive then continuing to buy the velco straps over and over. Then my daughter seemed to have melted her front wheel down to the plastic on some parts of the wheel.

While she was riding it, I noticed the kart wobbling pretty bad. I went and checked the kart to discover the front wheel disintegrated in less than 6 weeks. How does this happen? If I could post a picture of the wheel I would.

My kids dont ride these karts up and down the the streets with rough terrains. We take them to a skate park with smooth asphalt, so I have no reason why and how this happened. So again, we were back to fixing another problem.

After looking online for a replacement wheel and seeing how expensive these can be, I came up with the idea to go to Home Depot and get a cart wheel (dolly). I simply undid the bolt holding the front wheel on the go kart and used the one from the one I bought.

Same size, seems more durable and again way less expensive then ordering one online. If I could give a big fat ZERO STAR I would. The karts are cool themselves but, after all these problems I wished I would have researched this brand a little more.

Waiting to see what problem occurs next. Not impressed at all with the durablilty and safety of these karts. I would highly reconsider buying this brand or well at least this model. Hope maybe this review will help another family before making the mistake we did.

First the product shipped really fast and was well packaged. All the part were well securely wrapped. All the necessary part were present along with the guide book which was so easy to follow. We liked the fact that it has pictures included with the instructions and that was key to a super easy and smooth assembly, it took me less than 15 minutes to put together.

Once the Remix was put all together, it was time to put this nice toy to the test. LET me tell you that it did not disappoint at all, it exceeded all the my expectations. I was skeptical about having my son ride this but he put my mind at ease as soon as he started riding.

The ride was smoother than I expected and navigate around. I tried it around myself and did not want to get off. The seat is super comfortable the handles are easy to maneuver for a smooth turns. Our favorite however is being able to connect a phone and play music while riding with all the lights being on.

I would 100% recommend this products, it’s safe, fun and make family time a lot more fun.

I purchased this for my son as a replacement from another brand hoverboard that failed quickly. This one is listed as more heavy duty so I thought it would last longer. and was wrong. Hoverboards are notoriously finicky.

We’ve used this about 15 times and as others have noted, the motor controller failed causing one side to start off as dangerous, then eventually failing altogether. The warranty is short and GOTRAX had no interest in standing behind their product (issue started under warranty but I notified them about 1.

5 months past because I wasn’t sure if it was really an issue or just needed to be charged/recalibrated). They were quick to identify the problem, and quick to say they wouldn’t support it. Reading other reviews we see the motor controller is a known issue.

They also couldn’t get me the part to just fix it so they basically said “yep, we know the problem, nope we won’t do anything about it, hope you bought the extended warranty”. Word of advice to anyone thinking about buying a hoverboard.

I never buy extended warranties, but have bought them on both of the hoverboards I purchased because of all the issues I see in the reviews and both of the hoverboards failed and luckily I did have the extended warranty.

First hoverboard refunded me the price of the board and warranty. This one I’ll be submitting the extended warranty claim today so not sure if I’ll get the warranty refunded but at least I’ll get this hoverboard refunded.

I bought this one because it is billed as heavier duty, bigger and fatter wheels, etc. because my son uses the hoverboard seat. But it failed just as fast as the previous brand I bought. So be weary, hoverboards are not reliable, fail quickly, and they have short warranties.

So for hoverboards. always get the extended warranty.

We absolutely loved this board, while it lasted. We got it on a Friday, for my 5 year old daughter, and took it with us on vacation the next day. We stayed at a resort town, where walking was a must.

For a five year old that does not like to walk but loves to be the center of attention, this little board saved the day!!! It made getting town around a blast!! It was great on sidewalks, grass, and inclines.

However, on our last night there, she took it through a few puddles (the sprinkles had made puddles on the sidewalk), and kaput!!! The board died a slow death just 5 days after we got her. We later read that the board was not waterproof and we shouldn’t have taken it through the puddles, but frankly, it never occurred to me that something designed to ride on the sidewalk would be so sensitive with water.

Net/net, I accept responsibility for being ill informed and for the water damage, but it was fun while it lasted and my daughter loved it!.

This was a Christmas present for my daughter that turned into pure disappointment and frustration. Straight out of the box, one side lit up with three green lights, the other side only one which made me nervous right off the bat.

Tried to use the bluetooth and spent 20 minutes with 2 different phones but it wouldn’t connect to the app. Charged the board for a few hours, but still 3 green lights on one side, 1 green light on the other.

Took it outside and it lasted for 3 minutes before shutting down and causing my daughter to almost wipeout on the pavement. Ordered it online and will be returning it to Walmart for a refund. I’ll try ordering another and cross my fingers and hope for the best.

(I shouldn’t have to) Seems someone else in the review section had the same issue, so I wouldn’t say this is isolated. Buyer beware. Well Jetson? 2nd time’s a charm? Guess we’ll see.

I am satisfied with this as my first hoverboard but my comparison is based on feedback after briefly chatting with other hoverboard owners with various brands and models. Battery life, expected max distance, and charging times have been very close to specification.

I understand this is not the case for many makes and models with lesser battery life than is advertised. The application on any mobile platform is so jaw droppingly terrible that I was motivated to write a review.

The device itself is a steal for the price in comparison to others in the same range having lower maximum speeds. Please fix software. Also, I wouldn’t say ‘All Terrain’ but. I rarely use the speaker feature (software issues) however when I do it sounds good (somewhat like 2 Bose Sound-link micro speakers in each wheel).

I’ve read some reviews about a ‘rattling’ noise while riding. I’ve experienced something similar, though it’s less of a rattling and more like a ‘whirring’ having a frequency that increases and decreases with speed.

I imagine the source could vary anywhere from an internal damaged component to uneven wear on the wheels. At times the lights attract more attention than I’d prefer, having no means to control them. There have been a few occasions while riding with > 50% charge that I’ve experienced a complete loss of power (each time different speeds but cannot reproduce the issue on demand).

The Ride Jetson App (Android) needs improvement and may not be compatible with Android 13. Otherwise its pretty gnarly! Note: I am an adult ~180lbs and max recorded speed is 10. 9mph.

I bought a Jetson Litho X for my son last Christmas. He’d been wanting one for months when our family board died (a different brand that lasted 5 years!) He was so excited because the lights looked so cool.

Unfortunately, within a week it stopped working. Customer Service was great to deal with. They said our model was out of production so they sent us a new one, which we were so excited about. Unfortunately, as soon as we opened it there were severe calibration problems.

It would start operating on its own, without anyone even standing on it and one side was pointed downward which caused the hoverboard to only rotate in a circle. Again, customer service was quick to try to help us recalibrate but decided it wasn’t something we could repair.

They had us send it back and sent us another new board, which we were grateful for. That one worked until the battery died the first time, but it won’t recharge. The light on the charger is on but it doesn’t actually charge the battery.

Again, I contacted customer service and was given sone troubleshooting tips but nothing worked. No replacement was offered this time, which I’m not sure I would have wanted anyway. So I’m left with a 3rd broken hoverboard and a very sad kid.

It’s hard to imagine we just got 3 faulty hoverboards. I gave an extra star just because the customer service was initially very helpful and quick to try to make it right. Overall we are disappointed.

Our 10 yo daughter has wanted a hooverboard for some time so we had to do our homework to get the one most suited for her. The Magma All Terrain fit the need perfectly! From all the lighting combinations, self balancing setting, the wide foot pads to the ability to go from driveway to yard with ease, was spot on for what she wanted.

6. 5 inch tires help with the bumps on the side walks and she has a blast riding it everywhere. Took her about 10 minutes to learn to control it and off she went. The charge lasts for several laps around the block with her friends and with the lights flashing, offers a lot of visibility.

The warning tones sound if she starts to do maneuvers that may cause a fall soon enough for her to compensate. That being said, kids will be kids and she does push the limit at times too! All together with helmet, pads and gloves, a very stable, practical hooverboard to have a blast on and with! Charging time is a bit longer than she would like but considering the lights, individual motors for the wheels and the mini computer brain running and up to 10 miles on a charge, the 6 hour +/- recharge time is amazingly fast.

She loves her magma and even rides it in the house at times. For us, it was a superb choice for her enjoyment? My only bummer is, why didn’t they have this when I was a kid? :).

I bought my halo rover x a little over a year ago, and it has sadly stopped working now. When it died it had 1060ish miles so it lasted me a long long time of heavy abuse. I had over 1000 miles because I use it to walk my dog everyday.

Since it was broken I decided to buy a new hoverboard and break the old one. The plastic and the rims were very very durable. It took a 4 pound metal mallet and lots of force to break it. I got the GYROOR f1 and I am starting to realize how great of a hoverboard the halo rover is! I hate the new one.

I tried off-roading and going up a hill. The hill won. When I had this hoverboard, it conquered the hill with impressive speeds. I love the halo rover and I’m currently trying to take back my old one and get a new halo rover, but I don’t know if I can return my old one without a hassle.

I really hope that I’m able to get a halo rover again because it works very well. On my first full charge on the gyroor, it glitched out twice scratching the carbon fiber one the sides. It’s is way too sensitive when I try to turn but when I turned on my halo rover, I felt comfortable.

I also felt comfortable going higher speeds with the halo rover but not with the gyroor. The halo rover goes up hills very well, while the gyroor does not. Over all I would have to give halo rover the best review possible because I was so happy with the durability of the hoverboard.

I was a little worried about this purchase as it was more expensive than I wanted to spend but I have been completely satisfied with it. It has lived up to every expectation in every way. It has a very long lasting battery.

It is strong and sturdy. We have tried other cheaper hover boards over the last couple of years and have returned every one of them because they didn’t hold up to normal around the house use and needed to be charged often in one day.

We have not tried it outside yet as it is winter and we live in a very snowy area but it’s so powerful that I’m sure it will perform as promised. The customer care is also amazing. The case on our board had a few cracks around the screw areas and they replaced the case free of charge and also took care of shipping.

Amazing product…well worth the cost!.

I HAD TO SELECT 5 stars to get approved! TERRIBLE COMPANY, CUSTOMER SERVICE & PRODUCT! First let me start by saying I feel like I got robbed by the Halo company. I purchased a Rover X through their website.

Received it, and with in the same week of receiving and on the second use, it broke. There were cracks in the bottom shell casing. When I reached out to Halo, no one responded immediately, after about a week I reached back out.

I was told they would repair but would not refund or replace. I sent in the Rover to get fixed and it’s been two weeks and I have yet to receive it BUT I did receive an INVOICE for the repair. ONE, it’s supposed to be under a 12month warranty, TWO, this should NOT be happening on its second use and THREE, what kind of company thinks this is even A LITTLE BIT OK?! I also spoke to a halo representative (after many attempts of contact) and they explained this is something that happens often and he blamed it on the way it’s packaged when shipped out, and this happens often.

Yet, I’m receiving an invoice to pay for the repair. That being said, I DO NOT recommend this company OR it’s products. I’m not one to leave reviews, but after paying $500 for a total of 10minutes of use, is NOT OK and I would hate for anyone else to spend the money and it be for absolutely NOTHING.

It should not take several weeks to make contact with Halo. I shouldn’t have to reach out many times to make contact. And with products being this costly, there shouldn’t be issues taking care of your customers.

This customer service was absolutely horrendous.

My daughter (9) loves her new hoverboard! Compared with other hoverboards she has tried, “driving” is much easier. Able to balance and focus her focus easily within the first few minutes of trying. It can easily move in any direction.

The instructions are very clear and easy to understand. Initially charging the hoverboard only takes a few hours, and then you can start using it! I easily paired it with my daughter’s iPhone so she can play music through the hoverboard’s speakers.

The sound is better than I expected for the hoverboard, and it’s all controlled by her iPhone. The light on the hover board is very bright and I like it because people should be able to easily see her coming.

Bought as a Christmas gift for my 5 yr old and 10 yr old to share. After a day or so of bumping their rumps they’ve got it down pat. Device went 2 full days of them riding without needing a recharge.

it is heavy so keep your toes from under it while helping the kiddos. Flies on concrete, spins out on grass tho. Would recommend.

I bought this product for my daughter’s birthday. She loves the lights and ease of use. It’s not as durable as you’d like.
