The jar is very small. Not a lot of product inside, 3/4 of the way full. Smelled nice, but more of a tea tree oil scent than a vapor mint smell. And I’m used to vapor rubs commonly sold on the market.

I wanted to try all natural. For the money, I would say to do a price comparison, as this jar with only a tiny bit of usage may last me about a month if I’m careful! Because of the heavy scent of tea tree oil, I would suggest not using this product on small children.

It is overwhelming and I would have preferred a more peppermint smell. A little product for not so little money, and if you use those product heavily very night during cold or flu season, it will last about a week!.

I love the natural ingredients in this. It is an amazing alternative to the regular Vick’s Vapor Rub. I wish they would dive all in and go with all organic ingredients. Also, it helped my cough a little but not entirely.

It does a great job of clearing your sinuses.

I bought this earlier today when the dr said my little guy had allergies. Because I didn’t want to give him benadryl during rhe day but also wanted him to have some relief, I searched the baby aisle and found this.

Purchased this based on the great reviews. Took it before going to sleep. Soothed my cough for only 30 minutes. Afterwards was up coughing for the rest of the night. Would have had the same result with a cough drop.

Also, strong taste wasn’t pleasant.

My chronic cough is gone after only 3 or 4 applications of the drops. I’m not sure if it was Wish Garden’s Serious Cough drops or just a momentary cessation of my cough which I’ve had in the past only to return a week or month later.

Amazing!!! After trying so many sleep aids, this is the first that I can say truly works for me. I have taken it on different nights to see if it has the same effects. I use it at bedtime, not so much for cough but for the calming, relaxing sleep I find comes to me.

I am so happy with this children’s cough syrup so far! First things first, the quality of this syrup is really good! It is made with high quality ingredients and you can tell when you use it! This cough syrup is all natural too, and not full of all the nasty stuff.

It only contains Elderberry, Honey, Vitamin C, Apple Cider Vinegar, English Ivy Leaf and Zinc. All of them are great for a kid’s immune system and because they are all natural, I don’t feel bad giving this to my kids! The flavor of this cough syrup is also not bad.

I tried the Honeyberry night time cough syrup for kids. Even though I am an adult, kids medicine still works for me. I tried some of the medicine. But, I was never sick and had no symptoms. I do not know how well and fast it relieves symptoms.

Also, I do not know how fast it takes for the medicine to take effect. I love syrup form of medicine. I liked the sweet flavor of this medicine. It was sweet enough, but not too sweet. It had the right amount of sweetness.

I only tried a few sips since I was not sick. Also, since it has melatonin, I took it at night time, about 30 minutes before going to bed. It definitely helps you get sleepy and go to bed. It makes you sleepy and your body relaxed.

It did not make me groggy, but I guess it depends on how your body processes it and how much you take. I like that it is vegetarian and has an elderberry extract. I like that it has honey and apple cider vinegar.

I followed some of the directions and shaked it before trying it as the directions stated. For people 6 years of age and older, it says to start with 1. 5 teaspoons and up to 3 teaspoons, which you can measure by using the medicine cup that is provided.

I like the medicine cup because it is convenient and makes it easy to measure the medicine. For other kids medicines that I take when I am sick, I usually take 2 teaspoons and it works well. 3 teaspoons seems like too much and also, taking that much with melatonin.

I would not feel safe taking that much. I would probably take between 1-2 teaspoons. I would not take more than 2 teaspoons. If I would have to take more than 2 teaspoons in order to feel better, I would probably stop using the medicine and continue to take my normal medicine that I usually take.

Also, in the directions, it tells you how much to take, but it does not say how often you should take it or what a safe amount to take every few hours. It just says to take “. as needed. ” That is not specific and not helpful at all.

By saying that, in my opinion, it is a very unsafe thing to say. Even though I was not sick, I would recommend this medicine because it is vegetarian and helps you fall asleep when you are sick. It is a good tasting and sweet medicine to take, especially if you like taking liquid medicine.

It is good for kids and adults, for whom kids medicine works for them, as in my case. It is good for people who hate taking pills or have difficulty taking pills. Overall, this is a good and fun product and take.

First off, I received a free Sambucus® Kids HoneyBerry™ NightTime Cough Syrup for my 4year old son. He was having a small cough so I decided to give some to him at night like the medicine says. He wasn’t necessarily all thrilled about the smell.

I don’t think the honey mixed well with the berries but he did take only the directed amount for his age which was 1 1/2 teaspoon. The next day, he sounded so much better. It was nice to know that the medicine was working well with him.

Chestal Honey gave me fast, albeit temporary relief from a nasty nagging night cough associated with upper respiratory infection. I despise all cough syrups because of the nasty taste and the horrible side effects, but alas Chestal was neither.

There is already honey in this mix, so why the addition of sucrose ??? You do have to re dose often, and the thought of all that sugar in my body was concerning to me. I love that there are natural homeopathic products available, but for the love of God PLEASe decrease the sugar.

Tired of the fights and bribes (which rarely worked anyways), I was happy to discover Boiron Children’s Chestal Honey Homeopathic Cough Syrup. Because it’s homeopathic, I assumed that there would be no medicinal odor and with the honey flavor, I hoped that my kids would take it without a fight.

I was wrong on both accounts, but only slightly. While the odor isn’t medicinal, it is strong and very unpleasant. It’s hard to describe what the smell is like but there is only a slight hint of honey.

It smells like something rotten to me. Fortunately, the smell is the strongest when I open the bottle and not when the syrup is poured into a spoon. While the odor still lingers, it is much easier to handle in small doses (pun intended).

My kids balked when I first tried to get them to try this syrup, but after some coaxing (and maybe a little threat or two), they eventually took it and said that it tasted okay. Honestly, I was just happy that they took it without throwing it back up, which they sometimes do.

Once you get past the putrid smell and actually consume the syrup, I think that it really does work to reduce coughing. The dosage is one teaspoon every two hours for children ages 2-12. The hard part is to remember to administer it every two hours.

Sometimes I forget and give it to them after they start coughing again. I think that this is a good homeopathic cough syrup and recommend it to anyone who feels that their child could get past the smell to take it.

Because this is not a chemically intense cough syrup, you can give this to children under the age of four, making it a great alternative to other medicines which have a lot of cautions and side effects.

The homeopathic ingredients are not strong enough to be damaging to children or adults so that is not a threat at all. The problem with Chestal cough syrup is that it works sometimes and other times it does not seem to touch coughs at all.

I discovered Olba’s 5 yrs. ago at the onset of the flu. My friend recommended taking it as directed with Vitamin Shoppe Echinacea tincture every 2 hours. I added my usual cold remedies; Cold Eeze lozenges, Vicks vapor rub( to help keep my chest and nose clear), Halls cough drops( to do the same while at work), and ginger tea or Gypsy Cold Care tea.

These are really useful pastilles. I am asthmatic and frequently have coughing attacks at inconvenient times. One of these really calms things down. I havent used them during a cold or infection but just for dry, irritating coughs.

This cough mixture covers so many different coughs and relieves sore throat too, plus it doesn’t interfere with any Perscription medication either. Brilliant cough syrup highly recommended

I’m not a fan of liquid medications like cough syrup. I find their taste and consistency off-putting. However, this syrup went down easy. Even better, the syrup worked really well. It controlled my cough related to post-nasal drip from a sinus infection.

Wanted to try a natural supplement as DayQuil and all the other brands that claim to help cold and flu have never helped me. I picked this up at our local natural foods store and took immediately when I got in the car.

(I was in bed all day on the day prior because I felt so crummy) Almost instantly my nose cleared up and my cough was almost completely nonexistent. I have never had anything work so well and will be recommending to friends and family.

I have used this syrup since 2008 for several onsets of a flu or respiratory infection and it’s action on my body is noticeable. It has a very strong herbal flavor which I very much enjoy.

I bought this at the same time as the Pukka Elderberry Syrup, I think this tastes much nice, it is quite sweet, not very strong and doesn’t have a hint of alcohol. It certainly helped soothe my throat, but as for long term ability to fight a cough I don’t know how effective compared to a conventional cough medicine it would be.

I would buy this again, but it does only last a month after opening which I find off putting, it would have been nice if it lasted the winter season. The only bad point was I found the lid very very difficult to open.
