20 Best Eyebrow Makeup For No Eyebrows (2023 Updated)

I have fair, thin eyebrows from back in the day when it was fashionable to have barely there eyebrows! Thankfully now I have a magical beautician who has fixed them via micro blading. This little compact eyebrow kit is my go-to everyday! It is so easy to use – simply apply some of the colour onto the brush and fill in your eyebrows wherever you need a little more coverage.

Then you can use the clear product too smooth and hold the powder in place. I find that sometimes I don’t even need the clear product as the colour filler works perfectly well on its own!.

I saw this product on sale at Myer and thought I’d give it a go. I had been using pencils but struggled to get the lines correct and wondered about other options. The Revlon counter assistant recommended I give the Brow Kit a go as it is easy to apply with an angled brush to give a clean, yet soft finish.

I was sceptical it would last all day to be honest but had been using COLORSTAY lipstick since the 1990s and knew that worked so put my trust in the product. I am so happy I listened to her advice. I can get natural brows that don’t look fake, drawn in or too obvious.

Prior to using this product I’d been using Dipbrow Pomade by another well known (and much more expensive) brand. I loved the definition and staying power of that product but it almost never looks natural.

Partly because it’s so pigmented and partly because the blonde color is just not very natural looking. Alot of brow product shades made for blondes appear too ashy (gray) or even worse, too warm (orange).

Because of this, I was still in search of a brow product that would look nice on days I’m not wearing much makeup. You can sort-of pull of un-natural brows with a full face of makeup but not so much with just some concealer, mascara and lipgloss.

First impressions of this product was that I LOVED : 1) the small, compact size and the fact that all the tools you needed were included in the compact, 2) that it was the best “blonde” shade for brows that I’ve come across yet.

This a true taupe color and should suit most skin tones, and 3) it’s very easy to apply and easy enough to correct any mistakes. After wearing it for the past few weeks I still think all of the above opinions are true, with a few additions.

I’ve found this product to be long-lasting, at least enough for a 8 hour work or school day that’s mostly spent indoors. The only time this product started to disappear on me is when I exercised after work.

The color started to fade as soon as I started sweating, but keep in mind that I’d already been wearing it for 8 hours. Also, look elsewhere or consider adding an additional product (like a brow pencil) If you need something that will help shape your brows, not just fill in the gaps.

PLEASE bring back any previous version of Brow Drama Sculpting Eyebrow Mascara. I didn’t know it was discontinued & I’m paying $30 for old version of soft brown from online marketplaces. I use every day.

This new tinted gel formula is heavier/clumpier/flakes off and not natural looking. Old version was so quick, easy, natural, and buildable color darkness. The new TINY applicator is harder to use. I tried using my own wand that is adult size, but the gel is nowhere as good.

If this is the same tinted gel formula, something is wrong with the bottle. I tried 6 different bottles of this to ensure I didn’t just get a dud, but all were clumpy and heavy. Loyal user of this product for decades and adapted to changes with the applicator wand/spoolie over time, like when the ball was added to the end of the spoolie wand applicator.

I remained loyal and ended up loving the ball at the end of the applicator because it applied the gel on the brow hairs better. I could swipe it on fast & light or swipe it on fast & build layers of color to make darker dramatic brows when wanted.

I am so lost now. I want to remain loyal to Maybelline, but I can’t find a way to make this work. More expensive brands were not as good as the previous versions of Maybelline’s Brow Drama Sculpting Eyebrow Mascara, and I will pay a higher price to get the old version back!.

For someone who uses minimal makeup (mostly just eyelash mascara) and no hair dye, eyebrow mascara is a great find. I celebrate the gray/silver in my hair but not so much in my eyebrows! Instead of tweezing eyebrow hair, I tried cutting the gray out but end up with uneven brows.

Eyebrow pencils result in a fake-looking effect. Finally, a solution: eyebrow mascara in perfect black/brown. One star removed because I think the brush might be angled for better application. Sometimes I need to dab at the results with a finger or tissue, and so may try another brand for improvement.

But this is a great start and big help to me.

Worth the monies! Bought the blonde color based on a Youtuber’s recommendation, Emily Noel. Covers the gray hairs, grooms the strays and looks good. It is easy and quick to apply. It dries to a taupe-y light brown color and blends well with the makeup look, which is mostly every day work makeup.

Saving time as we no longer stress about tinting the grays and don’t have to pencil/draw the eyebrows any more – it covers the hairs and they appear thicker and fuller. Not sure if this is the best product for ppl with very sparse/no hairs though.

Works great for us and we will re-purchase it.

I bought Unbelieva’brow in the shade Cool Blonde. This shade did not look cool-toned on my fair skin. It was neutral or warm-toned. I would have preferred a cooler undertone, but the product blended in well because it wasn’t too dark.

Unbelieva’brow has a doe foot applicator, but I applied it with my own brow brush so that I could create a softer brow look. I had to be careful to apply the product with a light touch because it had an opaque and highly pigmented formula.

If I was not careful, I ended up with a heavier brow look which is not for me. The product had really good longevity. I did not reach for Unbelieva’brow very often so I forgot about it. I recently rediscovered the product and it had not dried up after I first started using it a year ago.

Super lightweight…. The consistency is what I like most about it. I also appreciate that it is transparent. I’m not really a fan of tinted brow gels. This product kept my brows in place all freaking day.

I love this product! I have dark brown hair and buy the “dark brunette” shade which is a lovely, natural, cool toned, brown shade (some other eyebrow products seem to have an orange tint to them). The product gives quite a bold brow but as long as you’re not too heavy handed you can feather it into a more natural look.

I always get compliments about my eyebrows when I use this product from women of all ages. I also work 13hour shifts on a busy ward where I sweat tonnes and this stuff does not budge!!!.

I have used what seems like every eyebrow product on the market (high to low end). As I have aged, my eyebrows seem to be thinning and even through I have strawberry blonde hair there are some greys mixed in now.

While I sometimes used clear brow gel to set my brows I always used a pencil type product to color them. I always thought a gel would be really difficult to use and would not last. When I purchased the build your own kit and needed a 3rd item I added “Christina” to give it a try.

This stuff is fantastic! The color is perfect, easy to use (just brush on), thickens/colors brows (even those grey ones), and looks natural. It makes your makeup look finished and polished. Even after I let it dry and ran my finger across it the product stays put.

I cannot get over how thick my brows actually are. must have been that there were more grey hairs than I thought and this product makes them show up. Color is absolutely perfect (light brown). I am already placing an order for a backup.

I got the darkest brown color they had (sorry can’t remember what the shade was called as I’m writing this). I love the wand and applicator, and it does apply pretty evenly. There’s also a TON of product in this small tube so that’s a plus, but it is a bit too dark for my dark brown brows.

I have really dark brown hair and really dark brown brows, but this is still just a hint too dark. I don’t mind it because I just use it sparingly, but keep that in mind when you’re ordering! Otherwise, I love it.

I typically used the Elf Wow Brow product before purchasing this, and in comparison, you get totally jipped on the amount of product in Elf’s wow brow! I mean seriously, the amount of product in wow brows compared to Thrive’s is pitiful.

Thrive’s product is exactly the same size but it seems to be so much more product.

I’ve been buying this for two years now. I’ve probably bought 10 in that time frame. I was very excited to have found a holy grail brow gel that works extremely well for my red hair (and gives me eyebrows), and the brush was bendy so I could arch it instead of getting gel all over the place.

They have however just changed the brush to a basic mascara brush, which doesn’t flex, and gets gel everywhere. I’m extremely disappointed and I don’t understand why this change was made. The only thing I can think is that the new brush costs less to manufacture? In any case definitely not worth $24 anymore.

I’m literally so sad that I want to cry. (Not to mention the listed pictures still have the old brush, which feels like false advertising. ).

I LOVE THE FORMULA OF THIS PRODUCT! However, the SHADE taupe, is more like DARK brown, I bought this pencil in an order of 4 other different brow pencils by different brands, I got them all in taupe, and this one, was literally dark brown.

Another problem is the SHAPE of the pencil is hard to work with, I really don’t have much eyebrow hair so for me, I have to draw the lines then fill in, and it ended up looked super blocky and not smooth at all.

If you have fuller brows the shape wouldn’t be a problem, it just sucked because the formula is AMAZING. Would love to see this same formula in a different shape pencil(thin micro pencil, even a thicker round pencil) the triangular shape just made it very hard to define the shape I wanted.

Also the shades don’t really match the name, I am willing to try dark blonde, but taupe is suppose to be universal, I use it because I’m blonde, however the taupe in this range, looked black to dark brown on me.

I bought this brow pencil about 6 months ago. I was looking for a great, inexpensive, easy glide on eyebrow pencil. This was IT! I love how it doesn’t pull on my hairs. love the angled tip. and then finally the brush at end.

The only thing. starting a month ago, I ran out of my backup and now none of my local stores carry Almay. Why?? Guess I need to order online because I really value this pencil.

I like this mascara because it doesn’t leave clumps on you eyelashes. It enhances the color of your eyelashes.

This is okay. Its not waterproof or smudge proof. It works on the hands but not your eyebrows. Our face produces oil thats why this doesnt last long on the brows.

Only product that works for you me hard to find in Beauty Supplies used expensive ones just didn’t work for me I absolutely love this product

Perfect colour and easy application. Long lasting, It really does stays on until you wash it off.

My most favourite eye brow pencil. I buy 3 at a time when I need them as boots always have a 3 for 2 offer on NO7. It’s so easy to use and I love the pigment and the colour is a true brown. I have another eye brow pencil which was half the price but the colour is very nutmeg brown almost ginger and doesn’t look right at all despite the shade being “brown”.

I will keep buying this until the day I find something better at my budget and that day hasn’t come yet!.

i saw this product in a make up shop recently and I LOVED THIS STUFF! i really wanted to buy it after trying to out in the store but I ended up buying something else. despite all that, i still recommend this product to everyone out there who has a hard time dealing with their brows.

I really didn’t like this at all. I have Alopecia Universalis so therefore I have no eyebrows. I have to draw mine in everyday. I purchased this through Target and I got the blonde color. I couldn’t hardly see it on my skin and it was kind of painful to have to color it on.

I’m not giving it two stars because of the color because I realize I probably just needed the next shade up but after a week of using the top tip broke off and it really wasn’t a big chunk that came off but after twisting the bottom to get more to come out there was only a small piece left of it.

I was very disappointed because there wasn’t hardly anything to this and not long after that the rest of it eventually broke off too. I will not be buying this again.

I want to start off this review by stating that I am a big fan of Burt’s Bees products and have been for many years. Nothing beats natural makeup and skin care products. That said, I was not at all impressed with this brow pencil.

It has a smooth, creamy texture, but there’s a waxiness to the formula that makes it hard to apply evenly. Forget trying to keep the tip sharp, because it’s very soft and basically melts against your skin.

Not sure if it’s because of the nourishing jojoba oil and shea butter or something else, but it is a bit frustrating when trying to draw a thin, precise line. The 1610 Brunette shade is not for everyone, either.

It’s a medium reddish-brown, which just kinda fades right into my olive skin tone. I would suggest Burt’s Bees create a slightly darker ash brown shade for people like me that have extremely dark brown or black hair.

Once applied, the color rubs off and fades rather easily. I do like the spoolie a lot. The bristles are firm and blend the product very well. I also like the fact that this product is made from responsibly sourced cedar wood and is 99.

9% natural. If you are looking for a soft, easily blendable brow pencil, then this may actually work well for you. If you’d prefer a sharper, more defined brow, then I’d suggest trying something else.

The wood in the pencil is terrible quality, and combined with the very soft “lead”, the pencil is UNUSABLE after sharpening, even with a quality sharpener. The wood becomes uneven and jagged, and the lead breaks.

So you end up sharpening the entire thing and it ends up being useless. These USED TO BE good quality, but suddenly they are terrible.

I have tried many brow gels (drugstore and high end) and this is my favorite. The brush is very skinny allowing you to coat each individually hair very precisely. I have found on days I only want to use one brow product that I can even use the tip of the brush to lightly fill in sparse.

This is the perfect product for achieving a brushed up brow look. The gel doesn’t smudge everywhere when I apply it. The gel also has a nice hold that doesn’t shellac my brows to my forehead. This is my HOLY GRAIL brow gel!!.

Redheads are not extinct yet, Almay. So sick of cosmetics companies disregarding gingers. Bought the light brown shade, not even close to matching my hair, not even a warm brown. More neutral/cool. Nice wand and formula, but what’s the point when the color isn’t right? You literally have every shade but red/auburn.

And keep in mind a lot of redheads have sensitive skin and use your cosmetic line, so our 2% in the world doesn’t reflect the percentage of redheads in the Almay world. I’d actually guess that at least 20% of Almay costumers are some shade of red, given your sensitive skin marketing.

Please diversify your brow color options.

Smooth, easy glide formula fills in the gaps perfectly. Might not work well for warm-toned hair, definitely on the greyish side. Love that it comes with a little brush and sharpener; just wish they also made a fine line twist pencil to do some micro work, as this pencil gets blunt very quickly.

Best for a fill, less on detail.

This is the best eyebrow pencil. It has a creamy texture and applies/blends very well. I have tried more expensive brands but it couldn’t beat it. The other good thing about this pencil is that it doesn’t smudge easily.

Excellent product, I have used it for a few years, the colour is very natural and you can build it up if you prefer a darker look. Don’t really use the wax end but the brush & sharpener are very good.
