20 Best Exhaust For Yamaha Raptor 700 (2023 Updated)

I bought a Big Gun exhaust for a KFX 400 a few months ago. I wanted an aftermarket exhaust on the KFX, but because that machine needed some work and I wasn’t sure what I was getting into I didn’t want to spend a lot on aftermarket exhaust.

I found a Big Gun exhaust for a good price so I bit. Well, that’s where it started. The exhaust looked good, but sounded even better. I absolutely love the sound of the Big Gun on that KFX 400. So I figured I couldn’t go wrong getting one for my recently purchased Raptor 700r.

And I was right. It sounds amazing at idle and roars on throttle. It’s honestly almost too loud – almost. Combining this exhaust with a K & N air intake filter and DynoJet Power Commander V programmer has made a nice difference in throttle response and all around power.

Very happy with Big Gun exhausts and it’s probably the only thing I’ll get from here on out for ATV’s.

Very easy to install. Purchased the power programmer as recommended and user friendly as well. Our Raptor is more responsive, sounds great and has more power. This was combined with K&N air filter assembly.

Exactly what I was expecting performance wise! Its super loud! I am happy with the purchase.

I wasn?t expecting to much from this being a slip on but this totally blew my expectations. If you?re doing research on YouTube like me it DOES NOT do the actual sound justice. I?m beyond happy and for the price it?s so much better than stock.

1-3 gears whenever you let off the throttle it makes a beautiful thunder rumbling sound , downshifting has never been more fun it pops and crackles. Idle and starting have also improved ten fold throaty and thundery.

I can?t imagine what a full exhaust would sound like but you won?t be dissatisfied with this slip on.

At idle and lower RPM, the R3’s stock pipe actually sounds pretty good for a 300-class twin. However, once RPMs exceed about 5,000, the sound gives the impression that the power is topped off in the given gear.

At that point, it sounds like the engine is straining, and it’s monotone (same note or pitch). Such is not the case for the Akra GP. At idle and lower RPM, the Akra emits a much lower note with a more gutteral sound.

At higher RPMs, there is a broader range of notes or pitch. I’m not sure if there is in fact an actual increase in power, but the sound certainly gives that impression. There seems to be more headroom in the power band.

The R3’s stock exhaust was a piano with two or three keys, while the Akra GP pipe adds all of the missing keys. The Akra GP also amplifies the R3’s twin cylinder sound, dare I say similar to midweight Ducatis of yesteryear.

The difference in weight is almost as shocking as the difference in sound. When you remove the stock pipe, you’ll be amazed at how heavy and clunky the thing is. The Akra GP pipe weighs next to nothing.

If you don’t plan to have passengers on the R3, you might want to consider replacing the passenger foot pegs with R&G Racing’s exhaust hanger for the R3, and do the install when you do the Akra pipe install.

That’s what I did and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. I hope this review helps.

I would like to start off by saying that this is my 3rd muffler i’ve put on my truck trying to get the sound I wanted. Started off with some glasspacks and they were too loud and more choppy sounding.

So I decided on these after a recommendation from a friend and they are perfect. Amazing low tone at idle and lower rpm, and when you open it up they come to life with a really nice sound. Still quiet enough that you can carry out a conversation though.

Sound amazing. By the way, this is on a 87 k5 blazer 350 chevy 2 1/2 inch true duals no cats. Also they look better in real life than the picture. They dont actually have those wierd lines running vertically, the body is just smooth with 4 rivets holding it in place.

I bought these mainly for the price, and I love the turbo muffler sound. I installed them in 2 of my vehicles. The first was a 1980 Chevy C10 with a 375 horse 350. I drove the truck about 7000 miles on these mufflers, mostly in the summer months and made sure to run the vehicle once a month in the winter, always getting it up to operating temp.

The mufflers lasted about 2 1/2 years before the rolled joint at the back started leaking. The last one I bought I put in my daily driver 2003 GMC Sierra 1500. That one was driven daily for about 25,000 before the outlet of the muffler “became loose” – basically the pipe started rattling because the outlet pipe must have had the rolled lock (or however they keep the pipe in) come loose.

I love the sound of these, the price is great, I just wish they last longer. IN both cases I replaced them with a Thrush welded muffler, for about the same price, and they are still fine over 2 years and many miles later.

The previous owner removed the cat convertor and welded a pipe in there nicely and the oem muffler was rusting out. So i bought this turbo raptor muffter and cut the old muffler out. Using the stock pipe and tail pipe and it fit and worked great.

Now with out the cat convertor and with this better muffler it sounds awesome for a 4 banger honestly. And the off the line performance as well as passing power were wayyy bettet. Im gettin around 2-3 mpg diff.

I can pull my boat easier. The only thing i did was put a chrome resonator tip on the tail pipe so it wasnt raspy. I have a k&n drop in filter and always use mobile one synthetic oil with lucas oil stabizer and k&n oil filter.

And the truck runs great. Its a 1996 Ford Ranger Splash single cab with 2. 3L 4cyl motor and 5-speed transmission and has over 200k miles and still runs like new.

If you are debating whether to buy this or any other cat-back system in this price range, just stop. I was torn for months on my decision between the tomie expreme and the AWE touring, and I can say with confidence I am glad I went with the tomei.

The sound this system makes is unmatched by any other system in this price range (in my opinion). However, where this product shines is the overall quality. The solid titanium pie cuts, the color of the burnt titanium on the single exit.

It does not get more jdm than this. My only worry was that I live in a smaller neighborhood and I did not want to be obnoxious. To my surprise, this system is relatively tame but still lets out a very rich rumbly tone when you want it to.

I have always been more of a tone-over-volume person when it comes to exhaust systems and this product fits my liking to a T. PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE GOUNG TO BE INSTALLING THIS ON A VA CHASSIS WRX: I highly recommend subispeed’s exhaust hole delete for the pass.

Side exhaust hole, it cleans up the look very nicely. Also, the gap between the top of the cut-out on the car and the actual tomei muffler is REAL. If you plan on doing this you will have to adjust the fitment a second time once you start driving with the system installed.

I got mine to tuck pretty closely when I first installed it but shortly after driving, it settled and created quite a gap. With that being said, you can always try to get hangers that have multiple adjustments on them HOWEVER, use them at your own risk.

Tomei recommends to use the OEM stock hangers ONLY. This is due to the harsh vibrations stiffer hangers can cause to the pie cuts and rest of the thin titanium bits. With that being said, I have to say again.

THIS CAT-BACK IS OUTSTANDING.

Ok, there?s a lot to unpack with my review and rather than reiterating that the exhaust sounds awesome (which it definitely does), I wanted to provide a couple insights that I learned while installing the exhaust on my 2020 MT-07.

At the bottom of my review, I have included all tools that I used that made installation easier. First ? you need new muffler gaskets. The Akropovic exhaust system did not come with new gaskets and you are not supposed to reuse your old ones apparently.

Thankfully I picked up on this after watching an installation video that showed putting a little Ultra Copper (well, the Akropovic version of it) on the gaskets before putting them in place. Although the gaskets weren?t very expensive, it could have been really aggravating not knowing that the expensive exhaust system didn?t include them after removing the OEM exhaust.

Second ? the whole reason I bought the exhaust was because it was supposed to sound amazing once the DB-killer was removed. However, removing the DB-killer was easier said than done until I learned the secret to pulling the baffle out was using a slide hammer using an expanding bearing puller that I bought at my local Harbor Freight.

It took about 3-4 hits with the slide hammer and it popped right out. Previously I had tried several other methods to pull the DB-killer out and nothing would budge it. Definitely proved that having the right tool for the job makes things so much easier.

Third ? I would encourage you to watch some videos online to see how people have installed the system as there are some helpful tips and tricks. Overall, I am pretty happy with this exhaust system and the sound is unbelievably better than the OEM exhaust.

There were some manufacturing deficiencies that kind of bothered me (namely metal shavings in the threads of the O2 adapter) but otherwise I think the build quality was exceptionally good and I would recommend this system to anyone who is wanting to change their exhaust out.

I hope this information helps! A quick list of tools that I would recommend having on hand, aside from your metric sockets: allen keys, 22MM socket (for 02 sensor adapter installation), spring puller, 8-10? drive extender (preferably with wobble to allow easier access to nuts around header), if you don?t have a drive extender with wobble, a universal joint socket adapter will help you get to those weird angles, zip ties (to hold your rear brake assembly out of the way while working), slide hammer and bearing puller (has expanding dies that fit inside baffle of DB-killer to easily remove the DB-killer), torque wrench to ensure you are putting everything back to spec tightness, work gloves to keep fingerprints off exhaust.

Brings life to the my 2018 MT07. Your fuel economy will take a hit. You will be so tempted to twist that throttle. Make sure you remove that DB killer and tune the ECU. Get ready for tinnitus. This exhaust on the FZ/MT 07 will cure ED and depression.

With that being said. Mine did not have the laser marked logo on the exhaust. But a cheap sticker?. I figured Akrapovic would send stickers for the ballers who purchased such an exhaust?. but noooooo.

A bit expensive as all motorcycle exhaust systems are but it sounds and looks amazing so it was worth it. Fit was perfect on a 2021 MT-07. Ended up leaving the baffle/db killer in as it was a bit louder than videos made it seem when the baffle was installed.

I had a check engine light during the first ride after install but it when away after a bit. I’ve read that if you disconnect the battery before disconnecting the O2 sensor, it will not trip the light.

It looks and sounds good with just a touch of resonance. It fit well, my only gripe was I wish it had the proper fitting to clamp directly to the cat instead of cutting a stub off the pipe and clamping to the pipe.

The truck sounds MUCH better and seems to have a touch more power and torque throughout the RPM range. Top gears feel a bit less strained when cruising. Not sure about increased MPG since I have mainly used the truck around town, maybe.

2 to. 3 increase.

Sound great, just what I was looking for. Not too loud, just gives it a little bit of rumble. Great quality and fit, although it is a little tight up against the spare tire. Loved how the directions are well laid out.

All the parts are labeled, so they can be easily matched up with directions on what part goes where.

Love it, does everything they claim. Gives off a nice growl but not an overwhelming one and has virtually no cab drone. I get a couple mpg’s better but what I first noticed was the difference it took to get up to speed.

The stock exhaust doesnt even come close to what the Monster Exhaust does. Really helps out, especially when im towing something. I also have the Ram-Air Intake, and the Derringer tuner with the Idash and now ive finished it off with this killer exhuast.

Install was a breeze, everythng is to perfect length and fits perfectly. You cant go wrong with Banks and surely will not be disappointed. Highly recommend this exhaust system.

The exhaust installation was not complicated and the instructions are easy to follow. I backed the truck on to car ramps, a floor jack and jack stands were used to hold the exhaust in place while I adjusted and tightened up the exhaust.

There is a trick to taking the old exhaust off on the ground. Disconnect the 2 bolts that connect the resonator pipe from the down pipe. Disconnect the resonator pipe from the muffler, there is a locking tab, so you have to twist the resonator pipe to remove it.

Unbolt the 2 front muffler hangers and the tail pipe hanger from the frame. Than with another person you can unhook the muffler from the back hanger and turn/ twist the whole assembly over the rear axle.

The sound is good not to loud, no drone in side the truck. I would d recommend this exhaust system.

Noticed more power and a little more miles per gallon. A little bit of drone at 45mph but not too bad. I added the Ram Air intake as well. Sounds great when you get on it. Let’s everyone know there’s a 5.

Unlike the other post I would say an oil change is easier. But, it was fairly easy to install by myself. I was impressed with the heavier gauged steel that Banks uses. I have been overly impressed with every product I have purchased from Banks Power.

It definitely changed the sound of the truck. It’s got a nice low V8 rumble. It’s barely detectable on the highway but very noticeable when on side roads. Overall I am very happy with this exhaust. Thank you Mr.

Very good product, everything from the packaging to the slip engagement dimple on the end of each pipe, very well thought out & designed exhaust. love the factory style hangers. Zero in cab drone, good exhaust note that isn’t wake the dead like most kits, would definitely buy this exhaust again.

For anyone wondering it does fit 94-97 12v trucks, just installed on my 97′ with the addition of 2 hangers on the frame for the tailpipe.

System was easy install. The only thing it should come with is the pipe clamp. They want you to use old rust ome and for the price of the exhaust they could have added it. After install starting is loud deep tone but goes away within seconds at idle you don’t have much of a low rumble.

On flooring the gas pedal it has a really deep growl from outside. Inside the cab no drowning noise so if your looking for loud pipes this is not the system go with flow master or Gibson magnaflow they have what your looking for.

I’ve had all types on all different kids of trucks over the yrs. and as I get older this banks has made me happy. One did see gas mileage improve and two when towing 30ft rv don’t have high rpm noise from exhaust in cab for long drives.

I give banks thumbs up for this one. They did thier research and I was told in emails that this was what I was looking for and from others that tow said it was low noise but good deep tone and made great.

From what told I think it’s time for a nice pair of headers to go with it for more hp for towing. would have all stars for value if they added the clamp. Come on it’s a Chevy 4 yrs old and it rusted thank god I looked and purchased one before doing the install.

I read reviews and watched YouTube videos for a month and a half before placing the order. Yeah, I’m the over analyzer. So, you can believe me when I tell you that this is a quality product and has performance gains that you can feel.

I installed it by myself, in the driveway with the truck on ramps, in about an hour and a half. A reciprocating saw (to cut the old out) and a pair of channel locks (for the exhaust hangers) are man’s best friend.

Install tip: make a second cut on the factory exhaust just past the rear axle for easier removal of the stock system. It’s made from 400 series stainless steel and will outlast the local custom exhaust shop’s alumanized metal system for a few dollars more.

I think this sounds as good as Flowmaster, without all the extra money for a name. Banks warranties it for a full 5 years. The muffler itself is shiny and can be seen from the side of the truck by the rear wheel well.

Even my teenage son likes it, and he’s got dual Flowmaster 40 series dumped on his 90 Chevy. My 2009 5. 3 Silverado purrs like a kitten at highway speed and roars like a lion when you get on it. Shipping: original tracking showed it was going to ship on Dec 28.

It arrived on the 22nd. Talk about a Merry Christmas!!.

Notably improved throttle response. Good throaty rumble at higher rpm, but quiet idle so you don’t make enemies of your neighbors early in the morning. Top quality you would expect from Banks with easy to follow install instructions.

3 hour install in the driveway without a lift – can probably do it in half the time on a lift. Factory direct price was about $100 more than Auto Anything sale price. Very satisfied – highly recommended.

I haven’t put too many miles on the new system yet but the installation went really smooth with the wife helping hold parts up. Looks beefy and the sound is awesome. Brings back a little bit of muscle I miss from my gasoline engines without being loud.

Haven’t pulled my trailer yet but I can almost guarantee it’s going to improve towing but without turning my hunting truck into a loud obnoxious high school kids truck. Lol. I should have bought this kit years ago.

My exhaust on my 2001 Dodge 4×4 2500 Cummins diesel 24 valve was needing replacement. It was factory, and a friend had a Banks “Monster Exhaust” on his truck that I liked! I ordered the Monster Exhaust with the power elbow so that I could get the best performance, and so I could put a Banks pyrometer in the elbow! It showed up about two weeks earlier than I thought, and I installed it.

I cut out old exhaust with a sawzall, and put the new exhaust in. It took me about four hours, but part of that time was drilling and tapping for the pyro. The installation was straight forward except the first pipe out of the down tube was slightly egg shaped and needed hammer persuasion, lubed the hangers with WD-40 and they slipped on easily.

I installed it by myself, except the down pipe, my brother helped with that for about five minutes! When I took the truck out for a test drive I liked the sound, a nice throaty rumble, that is quieter than my old exhaust.

That part made me very happy, and I am amazed at how loud the old exhaust had become! On a longer trip, the performance is much better and cab noise is much less.

Mounted on my 2010 grizzly 700 perfect. its a straight thumper I watched videos before I purchased it and they do no justice for how good and deep the tone actually is ! My friends and I all really like it !.

Product was very old and stocked with appears to be dried out oil or grease, I can’t really give a positive review bearings were unusable.

First off let me start saying how AWESOME this exhaust is! I have a 2004 Silverado and my two options when shopping was between the corsa sport and this one. The corsa is without a doubt a fantastic system ,and the sound is unmatched.

So of course it was my first choice but after comparing the price of the two I had to go with banks and I’m glad I did. The quality is great and was super easy to install. I removed my stock exhaust and installed this one in 45min.

Everything that I needed was included and fit perfect. The sound will be a little tame at first but once broken in it will sound deep and aggressive but quit at cruising speeds on the highway. In my opinion is the best balance of performance and drivability.

If your considering ordering DO IT you wont regret it!.

I just installed a Banks Monster exhaust on my 2006 GMC Extended cab 4×4 pickup and I am extremely happy with the end results. The system appears to be very well made and is an all stainless steel exhaust system with the muffler and exhaust tip being a highly polished SS that look great.

The only problem I had during the installation was removing the old exhaust from my truck. The flange stud-bolts were so corroded that they broke off, so I had to grind them flush with the flange and then punch them out with an air chisel.

Luckily I had the right tools to get around this problem. I used some 3/8″ grade-8 hardware to replace the studs I removed. I used anti-seize on all the clamp studs/nuts and flange hardware to prevent rust and future removal issues.

If you decide to use anti-seize don’t follow the suggested torque settings, since they will distort the metal long before you reach the torque settings. The Banks exhaust gave the look and sound I was after, aggressive V8 rumble during acceleration, not too loud cruising down the highway and nice V8 note at idle.

The large angled polished tip looks great exiting the truck in the stock location.

I am very pleased with this purchase! Looks clean, very easy to install, and sounds perfect!!! If you’re looking for that low, deep rumble, then this is the exhaust for you!!!!! 5 star rating for the Banks monster exhaust!!.
