This is a replacement for a antique double boiler that was scratching our glass top stove. It is larger and not as tall as our old one.

I purchased this double boiler in Sept of 2020 to replace a triple boiler I bought from you about 5 or 6 years before. The same reason I had to replace the first boiler has now occurred. The bottom separated from the bottom pan.

I would like you to replace this boiler or issue a substantial credit toward another double boiler. Also the claim this pan was stainless steel is very dubious. the top pan may be a ver cheap thin stainless the bottom pan is extremely discolored and has no magnetism which I expect to find in true stainless and I find missing in most products today.

In all my 60 years I have always used a smaller pot inside a bigger pot as a double boiler. This is not ideal! I decided it was time to spring for something that was actually made for the task. I’m happy with this little contraption, the price was good, it works really well, sits with stability on the pot.

It holds exactly 2 cups of liquid, I measured. It is made out of nice, solid-feeling stainless steel. I am mostly using it to melt chocolate to make homemade almond butter cups and it is the perfect size.

If I set the double boiler on the counter, the double boiler tips toward the handle if there is no product inside the bowl. About 1/2 cup of product inside the bowl is enough to make the double boiler sit flat on the counter.

I’ve used this product once and so far am somewhat happy with the purchase. I like that the double boiler is easy to clean and sleek in appearance. I don’t like that it’s hot to touch (the handles are not coated with heat resistance pad/coat) and it’s somewhat larger than I expected and because of its size when placed in a smaller pot on my back burners it forces the pot to come off the burner a little as it won’t fit.

It was a little bigger than I envisioned but I do that all the time. The size actually makes sense when you use it. It’s heavy as in not flimsy and practical. I wanted it to melt candy melts to dip cookies etc in and the tapering size is perfect.

I have a regular double boiler but this will be perfect for so many baking projects. I would definitely recommend it!!.

Ordered this online without seeing in person to complete my set of Cuisinart Chef’s Classic. Although the quality is comparable to the rest of the set, I returned it mainly because the bottom of the double boiler is very rounded, so it can not sit upright on any surface, on the counter or in my cabinets.

It must be nested in another pan to keep it upright, which is not evident from it’s upright pose in the photo online. The sides of pan at bottom are tiered so it does fit into a 2, 3, or 4 quart pot.

for use. It is a very large pan considering it’s purpose. When storing it in a cabinet, I expected it to easily nest in other pans, but the height takes up significant room, as the tiered sides of the pan keep it from sinking down into the interior of other pans for storage.

Storing it in the 2,3,or 4 quart pan it’s designed for takes up 1/2 a shelf. I don’t have the space to dedicate to this pan for as often as I use a double boiler. I will be keeping my older Farberware double boiler to use with the Chef’s Classic 2 qt.

pan. Did not use it to see if the interior bottom of this pan discolors as do the others in the Chef’s Classic series. I read all directions prior to using, used low heat, did not use salt, but all my new Chef’s Classic pans discolored or spotted.

Small white spots, large blotches, or overall blue coloring on the interior bottoms after the first use. Could it be my water?. I have normal city-supplied water, not well water. Have not yet tested the warm vinegar or other solutions for removing the spots that came with the instructions.

So the company must be aware of the spot issues and they must be common. Storing these pans requires twice the cabinet space of my 33 year old Farberware set. I’ll be storing the largest of the pans from the 11 piece set in the basement, and I have more cabinet space than the average house.

But for me I find 3 additional All-Clad items have proven to be useful additions over the years, they are: #1 The Roaster with Rack (turkey, roasts, casseroles, lasagna), I use this regularly. #2 The Pasta Pentola though I now use it infrequently because I’ve found the 3-qt covered casserole (included in this set!) is just the right size for soup, sauce, and pasta when cooking for 2-4 ppl.

The Oval Bakers (set of 2) are essentials; I use them constantly for individual entree portions, sides, and baked desserts. They’re excellent for reheating leftovers as well. It’s ALL-CLAD all the way.

BEST INVESTMENT EVER! 2 TIPS: #1 I highly recommend that you “season” your All-Clad pans before first use, to make them 100% nonstick but without that yucky, peeling surface. (Find simple instructions on YouTube).

#2 Never use steel wool pads. Instead clean your All-Clad pieces ONLY with Barkeeper’s Friend and they will gleam like new for decades. Seriously.

Very disappointed that none off my three existing 8 inch diameter All-Clad pan lids wouldn’t be an exact matching cover for this double boiler. All-Clad should maintain their reputation by correcting this known issue.

This is a “ no brainer “: A three quart insert for my three quart saucepan which turns into a three quart double boiler. Perfect. As usual with any All Clad product, the quality is superior and the shipping process speedy and hassle-free.

Bought it for my wife, her and her mom make Christmas cookies and candies by the truckload every year. She had a small, cheap generic one for many years and it just couldn’t keep up, always waiting for the chocolate to melt.

I bought her this to speed up the process (and hopefully it helps me get a few extra chocolate covered cherries lol). In the past, T-Fal has been an excellent name in affordable quality cookware. This seems to be no exception, although it does feel like the pan is thinner than I expected.

Do not buy this thinking you are getting a steamer. This is actually a boiler. The label on the packaging states it’s a double boiler. I loved the idea of having a larger pot to hold more water seeing how I routinely run my steamer dry.

However, this wasn’t the solution I was looking for. Instead, I got a mislabeled product online. The item is actually a double boiler.

What can I really say? I purchased the 3 quart double boiler (I guess they’re calling it a ‘steamer’ even though it has no steamer rack). The item performed pretty much as I expected it to, and while it’s a T-Fal, I’m expecting the same level of quality I’ve come to expect from other T-Fal products I currently own.

It’s still too early to comment on durability, (since this item has only been used once). The handles stay cool while using this product, and the see through lid is a great idea (I haven’t used this yet, as the only time I used it was to melt chocolate, which needed constant stirring).

I’ve purchased another brand of these that were smaller from the other big craft store. I prefer these as they are bigger, wider mouth. This design with the lid and wide top are perfect for frequent melting and dipping.

It also allows you to store your leftover melt, easy to wash.

I’ve used the 3 qt. double boiler and have always needed either more product or a larger pan. Since we received this double boiler, things have been perfect! Chocolates, caramels, now one dip instead of multiple coats.

You can not go wrong with any Zorijushi brand. I should have bought this tea kettle a long while ago. Keeps the water hot at the proper temperature kept at. No need to pick up and pour, just press down the button and hold.

I bought this double boiler to make homemade soaps etc. It is a bit thin, but does the job. I have only used it for steaming veggies thus far and it did a great job. So for the price I would definitely recommend it.

If you are looking for a high end double boiler you will be paying a lot more. For my needs this worked out very well.

This is a gift for my daughter so I haven’t tried it out – we will have to wait for her to do that. However, the stainless steel set is well made with a good size steaming basket and the double boiler is a nice size too! It is way nicer than the one I have.

This is not a heavy guage steamer but it is nicely crafted and works perfectly as far as I am concerned. For $30 you cannot go wrong with it. It’s very well made and flawless in appearance. If you want a heavier duty item you will easily pay 10 times as much and I don’t see the value gained.

I would buy this as a gift in a heartbeat.

I bought this wax warmer to use with their candle melts because it was an adorable way to collect *all* the scents I love on a budget.

I really like the look of this product. Note that the concrete can scratch a bit from the ceramic top. The top wax warmer works great. I’d never used a warmer for a jar candle before this purchase and I am not a fan of that; it took pretty long for a scent to throw and the wax hardened over the wick.

It would be good to use to burn up the end of a candle or a candle with wick issues. Overall, I like it a lot and would recommend for a minimalistic wax warmer.

This is my first time buying the warmer. I found this product a perfect decorating piece for my daughter’s new apartment. Even though she does not have kids, she has a small dog and I wanted something safer for her home.
