My daughter used this bike. She loved it and grew out of it. Built tough. Seat height easily adjustable with a fast flip lock.

The bike arrives partially assembled. What appeared to be needed was assemble the handle bars to the fork, insert the front tire hardware and lock that in and inflate the tires. That will get the bike put together but there is still lots that is needed.

What I was able to do are the following: 1) I needed to true both front and rear rims as they were severely warped and not true. 2) I needed to adjust both front shift guide and rear derailleur to fix all associated problems that they cause 3) I needed to completely adjust the brake pads and cables.

4) I need to align the front and rear calipers 5) I needed to tighten quite a few of miscellaneous screws and bolts around the bike. These are fair for someone who is decent with tools but definitely not an out of the box project for someone who just want to ride.

For the price, I fully expected them though. The loss of stars comes from the completely warped front and rear brake disks. These aren’t things that can be fixed. On top of them being warped, they appear to be completely uneven and need to be replaced.

When braking at any decent speed, the bike will surge like someone is completely releasing and re applying the brakes over and over. This is EXTREMELY dangerous. I contacted the mufacturer which sent me to their warrantydepartment.

I explained in fine detail my issue and what parts needed. They then ordered the wrong part and after a very slow crawl I got the wrong brake parts. If you plan on buying this bike, be prepared to spend some money on parts to make it work right.

Don’t count on Pacific Cycles, the makers of this bike to get it right. I am now happy with the bike but disappointed by the brakes and manufacturers support.

The bike arrived at my door but needed assembly which wasn’t too difficult as I’m used to maintaining my bikes. Nothing was damaged, and it took longer to unwrap the countless protective foam pads than actually putting the bike together.

The hardest parts were adjusting the brakes and rear derailleur, and making sure to turn the front wheel 180° because it was shipped facing backwards to minimize the size of the shipping box. My 10-year-old loves her new bike.

As for the bike itself, the front shock is minimally functional, but the rear shock is purely cosmetic. I tried to back the preload all the way out but it barely moves even with her full weight on it (she’s a small 10-year-old).

Ours came in at 34. 4 lbs including the kickstand on a luggage scale – despite the aluminum frame, the rest of the components still weigh a lot. After a few weeks, everything still works but the rear derailleur still needed occasional adjustment as the cable continued to stretch.

I purchased the Ledge 2. 1 for myself (Men’s version) and this 24″ girls version for my wife. My wife is very petite, she barely stands 5’1″ tall, and this is about the smallest I could find without resorting to spending a lot for a custom bike, or getting her a girls BMX version.

When she is riding her tip toes barely touch the ground, so often times she’ll have to dismount in order to stand properly. The seat is a major pain (literally). We had to purchase a gel/memory foam cushion just to be able to sit for more than 5 minutes.

But other than that, we’ve had these for two weeks now and we ride 5x a week at more than 5 miles each trip. They’ve held up very well. The bike is relatively lightweight, though not something she could lift and put onto a rack or in her trunk on her own.

But while in use, it’s easy to maneuver and responds really well to road conditions, trail conditions as well as sidewalk or paved pathways. As far as set up is concerned, I specifically chose bikes that were already put together at the store and ready to ride.

I don’t have the patience or time to spend on putting a bike together. From what I understand, if you have to put this together, it can be a major waste of your time. I highly recommend getting one off the rack from a store.

If you’re just getting into biking, or would just like an inexpensive bike to take to a trail, this thing works great. If you’re serious about biking and want something to last the long haul while being extremely comfortable, you will definitely want to look elsewhere.

I orderd this bike and it took a few days longer than expected to be delivered. Took box to the Academy store and they assembled it in about one day. Was happy with the service. Have ridden it a handful of times and so far I like the shock absorption and the way it ride.

I need to practice with the gear settings. I am 5’1″ and I foudn the height of this bike to be exactly right for me.

Nice bike, well made. But way too tall for my 11 yr old. This is the tallest 24 inch bike I’ve seen, almost too tall for me (I amm 5ft tall). Meaning seat at lowest position sits very high

Bike was easy to put together. It only has 18 speeds, although you really don’t even need that many. The bikes tires say capacity at 198 lbs while the website says 250lbs. If you want something that you don’t care about getting stolen than this is your bike.

I recieved the Kent mega flex bike. I was super excited to get this voxbox but unfortunately after putting the bike all together, the cassette of the rear wheel is defective which mean you can pedal forward and backward freely without the wheel moving at all.

The bike is basically unusable. I’ve tried reaching out to influenster with no response.

Had my eye on this bike for a while and finally purchased. I am 5 ft and wanted a bike I could just hop on and ride. Overall I think its a good purchase. Pretty and comes with nifty accessories. I purchased it assembled and it seems fine and not missing anything.

Biggest complaint, if any, is the price. Seems a bit much for a “box store” bicycle. Hoping it holds up. I usually wouldn’t spend as much (especially with everything else being so expensive) but I really liked it and didn’t wanna wait around and miss out.

Still a healthy option to help save on gas prices too. I recommend for anyone who wants a cool looking ride that cruises along.

I love riding my Nel Lusso Women’s Cruiser Bike! It’s perfect for cruising at the beach with the family, and even around the city park. I love the Pink color, and the 24 inch is perfect for a short lady like myself.

The handle bars are wide and sit nice and high, no forward back strain, the pedals are nice and wide and have reflector strips, there’s an awesome basket on the front for your perfect book and beach towel, and it has a comfortable cushion seat.

The wide tires make it easy to maneuver through all tipes of terrain. There is even a place on the back to strap a small bag. This bike offers a smooth and comfortable ride. I’m all about outdoors and time we’ll spent with family.

I was happy to received my bike from Walmart, hubby put it together with ease but then we realized the tires kept popping out. I am so disappointed, now I am afraid to buy another huffy bike as all the models I reviewed keeps popping up with the same thing.

My hubby also have a cranbrook which we bought a year ago and wasn’t using within a week of starting to use it he has issues, seems he will have to get a new tire. Too late to return it unfortunately.

Not worth it Dont buy!! I read so many great reviews before buying. So I bought it for my daughters 6th birthday in April 2020. By May the seat started to tear. By July 2020 the back tire kept going flat, couldn’t find any damage to it.

By Fall you couldn’t ride it. Complete junk! You can’t find a replacement tire anywhere. My daughter loves the colors of the bike. Unfortunately it didn’t last. Lots of new reviews are saying the same tires are junk, kids barely used it before it tore up.

My son wanted a bmx bike and fell in love with this one in Walmart! Got it home 2 days of riding and the brakes went out, then about 2 weeks later the pedal completely broke off! Bought new pedals got it going and a week later it was down again this time the bearings are gone in the pedals and it won’t move at all! This was $90 bucks down the drain because now instead of putting money into this one every week it’ll be best to buy something different!!.

Bought this bike as a last ditch effort for my oldest son to learn to ride a bike and get off his younger brothers small bike. Thankfully this bike did the trick, up on two wheels after a few days!! Purchased it at Walmart and not sure if the build was their fault or quality of bike itself, but the rear brakes could barely stop him, flat tires after 2-3 weeks from normal riding, brake handles broke off after two falls.

Now the kickstand is rattling loose and is an annoyance for my son when he is peddling. Big benefit of these mishaps is that I get to show my son how to do repairs to his bike, but was expecting these lessons to be after a year or two of having the bike, not 3 months.

Glad I did not spend a lot of money, but spent more than I would have wanted to since little brother was going to inherit this bike in a few years when big brother gets a mountain bike. We will see if we stay with the Kent brand bike or go with another brand.

Bought 2 of these for Christmas 2019. Twin grand daughters. By March one started making grinding noise in the crank hanger. Thought the bearing was dry. The race was missing a ball, only had 6 balls instead of 7.

Easy fix, if you know how to work on bikes. Now, in July, the chain won’t stay on. The chain sprocket is warped. Now the 2nd bike is making the same noise. It was a cheap price for a bike, so I got what I paid for.

Just a piece of junk made in China. Will be the last Huffy bike I will buy. I would expect a kids bike to last at least a couple of years.

We bought this at the beginning of March. Now it’s September and there is popping in the cylinder that connects the pedals and the chain guard has broken off. We keep the bike in the garage, so it shouldn’t have broke so quick! At the beginning, the bike fell about due to the kick stand not being at the correct angle.

That cause the seat to tear. This bike has potential, but not if you ride it almost every day.

Bought this for my daughter. It came pre assembled from the store. After many days of trial and error – I decided that a wheel and the training wheels are bent. My daughter is unable to ride it b/c the bike does not turn to the left.

It is awkward and has caused a lot of tears. I didn’t ask for pre assembly, so if you buy this bike make sure to put it together yourself. It appears that it was tossed around in the delivery truck or something.

Happy Mommy, Happy Kiddos! When the box arrived, I was so eager to put this bike together that I decided to try to assemble it without my husband. I was amazed by how easy it was to assemble! I’m proud to say that I didn’t even have to refer to the owner’s manual- which was a first! Without any tools, and minimal assembly, I put it together in ten minutes (maybe less)! When ALL of my kids saw the bike for the first time, they shrieked! It is absolutely adorable, with all of the bright colors and “Shopkins” decorating the entire bike.

With the removable (and adjustable) training wheels, padded seat and reflectors, I am confident that this was a great choice! As a mom, I’m always evaluating the “safety factor”. this bike is sturdy and durable; my two youngest thoroughly enjoy riding it, and we haven’t had any problems or issues.

Also, the handles have nice grips, which prevent their hands from blistering or sliding. The adorable Shopkins pouch can be easily attached to the front of the bike, giving it an extra “kick. ” My children already filled it with some of their Shopkins! It gets them outside, and keeps them active for hours! If you are contemplating buying this bike, I strongly encourage you to go for it; you will not be disappointed!.

The bike is really cute. The only issue I have is that nowhere is the description did it mention coaster brakes (the pedals). We were looking for one that just had the caliper brakes (handles) since that’s what my daughter is used to.

I’m sure we can figure out how to adjust it, but it would have been nice to know before we bought it.

The colors are pretty awesome. My daughter loves how it looks. The bike arrived in good condition after being shipped. It’s about 1/3 assembled. All you have to do is attach the front wheel, handle bars, and brakes.

The biggest complaint is the brake handles are metal but the frame they are in is plastic. Daughter dropped her bike once and it shattered the front break handle assembly. Ordered new aluminum ones. Also, the crank is a bit tough and requires a fair amount of breaking in.

My son worked hard to earn the money for this bike. Just coming out of the box, front rim was bent. Contacted the company, they suggested that they would replace after receiving a photo of the bent rim via email.

They never responded to the email or sent the replacement rim. My son used a rim from a different bike in the meantime, and has ridden the bike for a couple months now. Aside from the rim issue, the brakes are unreliable, and several other parts have come loose more than once.

Luckily my son is handy and is able to fix things himself, but he shouldn’t have to do it almost daily on a new bike. Pointless to reach out to the manufacturer because they don’t like to respond or follow through.

As soon as the bike arrives, open the box and find the manual. Next, burn it. Why? Because it is completely useless in helping you assemble this bike. It is arranged in random order and even the photos don’t match up.

Took two hours to assemble. I just don’t understand what thr motivation is to write such poor instructions But she loves the bike. The finish on the frame is beautiful. Good value if you can get passed the assembly frustration.

Based on Walmart’s recommendations for kids height and bikes their chart showed our daughter being 3ft 11 inches should have needed a 16 or 18 inch bike. We fortunately took her to the store to test the bikes out and she needed the 18 inch bikes seat raised all the way up.

This bike was the same height with its seat all the way down as the 18 inch with its seat all the way up. Obviously the smart thing for us to do was buy the 20 inch since we didn’t want to have to buy her a new bike next year because she grew more.

All the bikes in the store were slightly different styled in their frames and how easy it was for her to pedal so just because I think this bike is great looking and quality for the price and fits our 6 year old perfectly not all children are cut the same and you really should go into the store to have them test out the bike to make sure it’s the right fit for them.

When the bike arrived it had rust on the front fender ! Visible from the person riding the bike! Unfortunately it was a gift for my daughters birthday and we needed it for a present! We only had a few days so we put it together and gave it to her! I tried to cover the visible spot up but it also had a bigger area of rust under the fender! No, nobody could see it but I bet when my kid rides it in the rain it will only get bigger!!! Absolutely unacceptable to receive a brand new bike eith visibly large spots of rust on them!!! Its a beautiful bike otherwise! I would say on the more difficult side for assembly! We used so many different tools 10mm/14 mm, phillips head, several different hexs! I also need plyers to tighten the foot rest cause the didnt tighten up flush! It took my husband and I both to get the brakes adjusted with several attempts to get it right!.

Color scheme, paint job and included basket are all top notch. Instructions for assembly are somewhat generic and fairly useless. The brakes took a bit of trial and error to adjust properly to avoid rubbing.

Also, one brake cable was frayed right out of the box which caused issues. I had to replace it with a new cable. Overall, this is a great little cruiser with a nice set of gear options. It is very tough to find a cruiser that is not a fixed gear bike.

This was a gift for a 12 year old’s birthday and she absolutely loves it. I would recommend it for a rider who was some experience riding, likes a more comfy upright riding position and needs a few gears either to go fast or because they do not have the strongest legs.

The great thing about gears is that they provide a great deal of flexibility :)!.

It is beautiful. Appears to be well made. Just the size I wanted. HOWEVER. since it could not be delivered to the store, we had to assemble it at home. My husband can fix or assemble or build anything.

This could have used clearer instructions for the fender and basket. Then the derailleur assembly is bent and we don’t know if we can fix that or not. All you needed was better packaging.

This was a great looking women’s budget/economy bike, until WM restocked and raised the price from $155 to $228. Kent bikes ship with spoked rims that are extremely out of true, and their bikes are heavy.

This bike has 24″ wheels, not a 24″ frame. A 5’1″ rider has plenty of room to grow on this bike. My daughter loves the color, the seat is more comfortable than what you typically get, and the rear shock cushioning is noticeable and appreciated.

This is my 2nd Kent bike, and the rims are again so out of alignment that the assembly workers have to be intentionally tightening some spokes and loosening other spokes to make these rims look like wavy wet noodles when the tire is spinning.

If you’re not a bike mechanic, budget in the mandatory bike tune-up that doubles the price of the bike but is still less than the bikes the shops deign to sell, because otherwise the brakes won’t work properly or the bike won’t ride easily.

For the brakes to work on rims like these they have to rub on both wavy sides of the rim, which creates resistance and makes it harder to propel the bike. Or, if the brakes are adjusted to let the rims spin freely, then they can’t travel far enough to actually stop the bike.

Kent bikes are heavy – this one is nearly 35 pounds. Most trailer bike hitches are built for each bike to weigh 25 lbs, so plan ahead. The thread receiving in the gooseneck was bent and the gooseneck cover wouldn’t seat.

I hoped that tightening would help lift it, but instead it popped out so the gooseneck cover cannot be installed.

I compared this to about 12 other girls MTB for specs, parameters, and cost, this was the winner in Spring 2021 at least. Easy to assemble. Most of the components are decent, the pedals were not, so they were easily replaced.

Nice kickstand, sturdy, the head bolt and cross bolts need a lot of torque to tighten down properly. The shifters are just OK, not really that precise and take some effort to shift. Also the front wheel – disc caliper takes some skill to adjust so that it does not rub the rotor.

You can do this watch some videos, it might take a few tries. The tires are beefy. The front forks are stiff and not too mushy. Overall, seems well designed and built, I bought the 2year warranty in case the frame welds near the suspension ever crack or bust, as just every area could just be replaced with component parts.

The bike arrived mostly assembled with few parts needing assembly. Attaching the front disc brake line was not very intuitive and required watching Youtube. Manual did not cover it. After spending a few hours on assembly, the bike was not rideable.

Rear derailleur is bent and is poking through spokes. I’ve called and emailed Kent Bikes. I filed a warranty claim that has gone unanswered. They only have one tech person to evaluate all problems. Kent may be able to send replacement parts if available, but I think part of the frame is bent.

Since Kent does not have replacement bikes, I will likely need to return it or pay a bike shop to repair it on my own dime. It’s too bad because the bike seemed solid enough. However, Kent customer service just hasn’t been that helpful.

They are nice and answer the phones, but are overwhelmed and can’t do much.

The bike looks exactly like the picture. The colors are very pretty and vibrant. My only complaint is building the bike if you don’t purchase help. The bike doesn’t come with tools and the instructions aren’t very detailed.

And some of the nuts are bolts are hard too loosen. So keep a toolbox handy.

I loved this bike on line, but at the time it was out of stock. I am shorter than I used to be. lots of birthdays. and the reviews all said it was great for shorter adults. I snapped it up as soon as it restocked.

and I really love it. It is perfect for my 5 foot one size. very easy step over, which was a major problem for discounting from my 26 inch other bike. Now my riding is enjoyable and I am no longer afraid of falling off.

And I get lots of compliments on how pretty it is. Great choice.

I’m very happy with this bike. I am a senior, only 5’1″, and am happy I chose 24″ size. My feet just make it to the ground. It’s for cruising, not speed riding. It’s strong, easy to assemble. I wasn’t sure about the color, but that’s ok, I can be seen for safety.

It was broken when we got it and it needed put together. We had to take it to a bike shop to temporarily fix it(hopefully it lasts) while we order a new part. The mounting bracket on the back of the bike for the gears is broken.

It didn’t look like it happened in shipping either. It looked like a machine bend so it wasn’t inspected well before it was sent out. This was my daughter’s Birthday gift, thanks a lot Walmart. The price we are paying to fix this bike I could have gotten her a better brand! Save your money and buy the better brand.

I worried buying a bike online would be a bad idea, I just didn’t have a choice when I have to work and they now close the same time my work does. My daughter had outgrown her old bike. Her legs touch the handle bars on her old bike so she can’t ride it.

Hopefully this bike works long enough for the new part to come in.

Bike came ahead of its delievery date. But after unboxing today and trying to get the bike together i realized the front wheel spokes were bending. The brakes were also dangling far from its original position, but i managed to get it fix somehow.

I called the walmart with front tire spokes problem, they asked me whether i want to return it, wait for another bike or get to nearest walmart n get it fixed. i choose the second option as my daughter liked the bike.

i dropped the bike at walmart and now waiting for their call to go back and pick up the fixed bike. This simply has been a hassle and waste of time. Had the walmart inspect the bike thoroughly before send it to me, i wouldnt have to go through this hassle.

Daughter wanted her first big girl bike for her birthday. I shopped around for a while to find a good deal and found this bike for a good price. I always knew the brand to be good when I was younger, and hopefully they still live up to that reputation.

She liked the look of it, thankfully, so we went with it. It came intelligently set up for minimal effort to getting it ridable. We’ve taken a couple spins on it since, and it rides perfectly well. Not sure how it will hold up over the long run, but I think this will hold up fine for us for a long time.

Great starter bike for my kids. They now fight over the mongoose vs their old bike without gears. Good welds decent paint. It’s a budget bike but seems to be a good value. If you don’t like the shifter you can get a Shimano replacement for $12 so no big deal.

The Shimano derailure does the trick but test it and make adjustments before letting your kids ride. Ours jumped and hit the spoke protector, no big deal just know it may require a few turns with a Phillips head to make sure it’s lined up correct.

First off we absolutely love the color, a pearl with purple wheels! My 8 year old loves it and fits her perfectly with plenty of room to grow. It has safety features but also is a trick bike! If your little one is daring this could be a good or bad thing haha! The price of the bike is reasonable and definitely is worth the money! My Paisley will be riding classy yet sassy in this Kent Octane bike given to me by @influenster and @kentbicycles for exchange of my honest review! Thank you so much we love it!.

I would not recommend this bike. Poor quality, we bought in winter so it did not get used until warmer weather. The brakes do not work half the time, it’s a waste of money. Just a very poorly made bike.

Very disappointed in spending so much and had higher hopes that this bike would be ok.

I just opened up the package and found that the fender had a dent in it. I guess i can live with it being a little dented. However, when I tried to attach the fender to the frame, I found that there is a screw missing.

I’m a little annoyed because I’ve waited a long time to get the bike and spent a lot of money on it, and it arrived damaged. I’m going to call them tomorrow and see what I can do to fix it, so hopefully everything goes well.

Everything else about the bike is beautiful. I put “don’t recommend” for now.

Shipment was delayed. Package was received with damaged / dinged up / bent pieces. Once assembled, both front and back wheels significantly rubbed against the fenders. I opted to return rather than try to “fix” the issues and make it worse or actually break them.

Also I did not get the option to have my item shipped to the store, or the option of free or paid assembly. Really a bummer because the bike is pretty cute and stands out from others I’ve seen.
