Best Women’S Shoes For Foot Pain (2023 Updated)

I have purchased four pair of shoes from Orthofeet, including this style, recently because the first pai I purchased was a wonderful surprise! I have flat feet and hammer toes from severe rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis.

I have had a terrible tim finding shoes, even sandals, that did not become almost unbearable very quickly. It has made going out very unpleasant. Because if that shopping for shoes in person is just not a viable option for me.

These shoes are amazingly comfortable with my toes having sufficient room and the upper fabric is so stretchy. Moreover, the first pair I ordered was too big and the second pair was too small. I returned the quickly according to their return instructions.

I ask fir an exchange and not a refund because I really loved the quality of the shoes. They not only paid the return postage but sent the new size which was the half-size between the two pair very quickly and without question.

I trust this company completely and I’m sure I will buy shoes from them in the future.

My poor fat 9WW problem ridden foot is thrilled!! After some tweaking with the assortment of enclosed inserts and arch support I got a custom fit for both the “normal” foot as well as the one that is chronically swollen from a DVT, has a bunion and a hammertoe.

I have spent a fortune over the years buying the same shoe in two different sizes and widths but still couldn’t find a comfort level that these shoes provided right out of the box. And they are sort of cute, too! They look like a regular athleisure shoe.

No one would think they were Orthopedic shoes. I love the adjustable strap which snugs up the normal foot while expanding to give the “monster” foot some breathing room. I am so thrilled that I ordered two more styles.

I would love to see a few more choices in a dressy shoe as well.

I have been struggling for 8 months with Achilles Tendonitis and for almost 2 months have been in a walking boot. When I would take off the boot at night the pain would come shooting back and sleep was non-existent.

I started doing some research on what I could do other than the boot and came across OrthoFeet – I needed to get some type of supportive shoe so I started with the Quincy Stretch – it felt like I was walking on air! I have the side inserts in and for a few days my feet hurt, but I knew it was because my feet were adjusting to walking properly! Now I am in Heaven! I LOVE these shoes and I’m planning on purchasing a few other styles in different colors BECAUSE these are the ONLY shoes I will be wearing from now on.

If you are in doubt regarding an issue you have, select the shoe by condition you have and try a pair out – you will NOT regret it! A buyer for life!!.

Unfortunately my trainers didn’t fit. Good width across toes, too wide over-rest of foot. Also too short. Fabric tops are a cheap poor quality. Soles seem to be durable. My major problem is that it’s impossible to return the trainers.

Fitville admitted that it’s expensive to return to their distributor in Germany and offered me a refund of £50 instead, and that I keep the trainers. This is a thoughtful gesture, however I would have preferred a full refund or trainers that actually fit, but I’m not prepared to try another size and having the same returns problem.

This company needs to sort out their returns issues before they are real contenders in the trainer market!.

So I was a little wary at first of buying shoes online, but I have severe arthritis in my left knee from severe hemophilia A, and I’d dropped a local ortho shoe place because their quality just went to crap.

I am blown away by the quality of these shoes. Most shoes require a break-in period where your foot and the shoe have to learn to get along, these feel absolutely comfortable from the first moment that you put them on.

I can’t believe how cushiony it feels to walk in these, it literally feels like you’re walking on clouds! You need as much shock compression as you can get when your knee has no cartilage, and I’m sure it’s helped my back some too.

Frankly, anyone that’s on their feet for a long time would benefit from these. I even bought a pair for my brother (works in a warehouse, has back issues), and I know he loved them because as soon as he put them on he didn’t take them off, and forgot he was wearing them.

I can’t say enough. Buy these shoes.

I would say Orthofeet goes the extra mile in making sure they offer a well made shoe. The added insoles are a great idea in the event the shoe has more room than needed to fit the feet. I didn’t need them but I did add the arch support.

Have worn them for my daily power walks as well as around the house. They’ve worked out perfectly. My only reason for four stars rather than five is that somehow I missed these shoes have accents of what looks like patent leather.

Not a fan of the shiny. Guess it works for others. I will read the description and study the photos a little more carefully before ordering next time. Other than that one thing I can highly recommend these shoes.

Help alleviate pain caused by plantar fasciitis. I’m on my feet a lot at work and this shoe help by providing support on my heels. Very lite and comfortable and looks great. Only down side is I own a lot of wide shoe but this one in wide has too much room.

Recommend to try the regular first because the materials will stretch to accommodate wider foot or swollen feet.

My Francis No-Tie shoes in black helps me to take long walks to enjoy the fall colors despite bunions and swollen feet. I love these extremely comfortable and stretchy shoes!

I have been looking for some good athletic shoes for a while due to planter and other feet issues. To go grocery shopping, etc is very painful. Standing in one spot for longer than a few seconds makes my feet hurt.

They feel like I am standing on bone with no padding. A friend bought these and after checking them out, I decided to give them a try. So glad I did. First they have a lot of support on the bottom, where my feet aren’t even close to the floor.

Then they include two inserts for added padding. I wore them shopping and they make all the difference in the world. Finally a shoe that is “cushy” enough to keep my sensitive feet from hurting. Highly recommend!.

I bought these from their catalog when I saw an ad to get for $70. I liked them so much I got another. I found that these don’t make my feet or knees hurt. I can tell the difference. These also have a little arch support or you can buy inserts.

My doctor stated that a “rocker” bottom is good as it helps with a ‘natural’ motion propelling your foot forward (not walking on ‘flat’ shoes where there’s no support). Yes they are a tad heavy. I also got diabetic inserts from the company as well.

I’ve worn so much (is now all I wear) that I need to replace. They’ve lasted me about 9 years. Yes they are a little pricey but definately worth it. So glad QVC is selling this brand. Will definately buy some.

These slippers are so comfortable! This is my first pair of arch support shoes. I never thought I needed shoes to support until my doctor recommend this specific Power Step brand and what a difference.

I nought this (cheaper) from HSN but they don’t sell them anymore. Most supportive slippers I have owned. I have some foot issues like morton’s neuromas and these are so comfy. really help.

I suffer with lower extremities lymphedema. I brought these sneakers about a month ago. I needed a sturdy, lightweight yet comfortable fitted sneakers with wide toes. Perfect fit. I loved the raised toe platform.

It helps correct my steps when waking especially because of the extra lymp fluid. I have been wearing slip on for a long time. I am relieved that I can finally fit back into a pair of sneakers. Look forward to exploring other shoes by KURU that would meet my needs.

Anyone with lower extremities lymphedema knows the importance and relief of being able to walk without painful toes, stumbling and fatigue legs. Thank you KURU.

This shoe is so great to wear. The break-in period was fairly brief for me. I have loved how they support my heel and arch and there is plenty of room for my toes. The pain in the ball of my foot is much less now.

They look nice too. I especially appreciate the leather wedge-shaped detail at the ball of my foot which feels supportive and also breaks up what would otherwise be a very long (I have size 10 feet) shoe.

Based on my experience with this first purchase, I have recommended KURU shoes and boots to three friends, one of whom has bought the boots already. I have also bought a pair of Chicanes which are good and getting better.

Love this shoe. I have flat feet and plantar fasciitis as well as hip pain into lower back pain. I bought this shoe and followed the instructions to wear a couple hrs a day indoors. My heel pain went away within two days, and having had custom orthotics before I knew there would be an adjustment period.

But before the week was over I was putting them on right after showering and taking off before bed, wearing at least 12-14 hrs a day. So comfortable and supportive. It’s eliminated my hip pain, heel pain and most of my lower back pain.

Miracles these are! The only thing I would do is buy a second pair with wide width.

The shoe was lightweight and comfy. Only problem was the mesh was too loose. I have more narrow feet and a relatively low instep. Because of that, my foot could slide around inside which is a hazard for me with rolling my ankle.

Sadly returned. If you have wider feet or a higher instep, could be a great shoe for you. The stretchy mesh would also be pretty good for folks prone to foot swelling as well such as diabetics.

I have PF in my left foot and metatarsal pain in my right foot due to a bunion and these shoes are so comfortable. I put my orthotics in them and I can wear them all day at work and then walk the dogs when I get home.

They are great and I can’t wait to get a couple more pairs. I also love that they are pretty. Yes, they have a sneaker type sole, but they slenderize my wider feet and look nice. I’m looking forward to another pair.

These shoes were true to size and provided great support Unfortunately, on the second day of me wearing them, both shoes developed a squeaking/farting sound. After emailing customer service I was told this is not a defect and they can’t help me.

This will be my last pair of shoes from Therafit. If they won’t stand behind their product then I will no longer be a customer. NO ONE WANTS TO WEAR A SHOE THAT SQUEAKS.

Very dissapointed. I have 2 other pair of Therafit which are a good fit & comfortable. However, this new pair is too wide, & there is no way to tighten them. I thought I had found the perfect brand but hesitarte to order anything else.

They are expensive shoes. I dont mind paying for a good product that is as advertised, but this shoe is not.

The curve of the toes starts too soon so the little toes rub terribly. Very comfortable at the arch area and under heels. Since they are slide on, I cannot comment on whether the heel is too wide or not.

I ordered a size 38 that I normally wear and it was too big. Exchanged for a 37 – too small. The funny thing is that I have the same shoe in another color that is a size 38 and fits perfectly. Also exchanged another shoe – the Molly leather clog- for a 37 since the 38 was too big and the 37 was no different in sizing from the 38 and was too big also.

Very poor consistency in sizes.

Haven’t worn them. The shoes feel great. However, the NAME blasted across the tongue (which doesn’t show in the picture) and the extra long strings takes away from what would be a very nice walking shoe.

I would love wearing it otherwise. Sorry.

This is my 3rd or 4th walking shoes, I stick to this brand, really great already proven. I was at the park on my walks & a mother & daughter noticed my shoes, I said this pair of shoes are really great for walking.

I went shopping with my daughter to get her some new shoes, and came home with these. As I was walking into work this morning, thinking about how great my feet felt, I thought that I should write a review for these shoes.

I work as a nurse and my feet feel great all day. The support and comfort are wonderful. I would describe my feet as somewhat wide, with bunions and high arches. The shoes have felt great from the first day.

Highly recommend!.

These are the most comfortable arch support walking shoes I’ve ever owned. I suffered a heel injury a few years ago and many walking shoes are hard on my heel. Not these! I didn’t even have to break them in.

I tried them on as soon as they arrived and went for a five mile walk without any pain. Great price point too. I ordered half a size larger and so glad I did. I’m going to order a few more pairs.

I like the stylish look of the shoe, but most important is the support. I have a high arch and need support to keep my feet from hurting. I already had a pair of walkhero shoes for exercise classes and wanted a pair to use for walking in my neighborhood.

This new pair works great for that. I know the sizes run true in walkhero shoes so I can order online and know they will fit.

OK, been years since I’ve worn a sandal. I discovered KURU in Spring of 2021 and fell in love with the instantaneous foot pain RELIEF! Hence I’ve have bought several styles of KURU shoes over the last year, the most recent being the SUOMI.

I bought the SUOMI because I wanted a sandal to wear starting with Easter weekend and beyond, something that would look nice with a dress, skirt, jeans and capris. I bought the newest color, the pretty aqua blue.

Sandals fit my feet so nicely, adjustable straps are a great option, leather so soft that they hug and stay on your feet without feeling loose or even feeling tight. Comfort for my feet and no foot pain.

I worried about tripping since these are a sandal but they hugged my feet nicely. I’m VERY HAPPY with this sandal.

I would give these shoes 5 stars for style, but 1 star for plantar fasciitis sufferers. My PF is so bad I have to wear sneakers pretty much all the time. I have a few pair of sandals I can wear, but none as pretty as these, so I was so happy to find them.

The buckles are even adjustable, which I loved because I have slightly narrow feet. But. I can’t wear these sandals for more than an hour without having a severe plantar fasciitis flare-up, that sometimes gets even worse the next day.

If you suffer from PF, give these a pass. If you don’t suffer from PF, they’re perfect.

I have bought the Kala new every season and liked them, but they only lasted one season… so I decided to try this Suomi for a different look. In between the toes feels like a rock to me. It’s hard and thick bent leather that digs into you and saws in between your toes literally causing intense pain.

I couldn’t wear them more than 5 minutes of walking- and now of course because I wore them thinking it would “break them in” I am out a lot of money. The Kala has a flexible soft canvas type material, not the hard leather like the Suomi.

I wish I had realized this and so now I am sharing with you. Hope it helps.

Unfortunately, this shoe was not a comfortable as I’d hoped. It was lighweight but the comfort was just not there for me. I have other styles of Therafit shoes and love them. This style just was not for me.

I think I’ll need to return the shoes. They are too wide and don’t fit my foot. I contacted customer service last week in regard to removing the bar inserts and she said it would make the heel more comfortable but it didn’t.

I tried on the right shoe and it was fantastic, put the other one on and not good. The shoe felt uncomfortable. The 3 rods that go through the heel of the sole were lose and the actual sole was put together unevenly, and the arch support hit further back than the other shoe.

Then they have nerve to charge 6 dollars to return them.

The Carly is my absolute favorite sneaker I have ever worn. I have worn a black pair for close to a year now and they are still in great shape. Arch support is perfect and these stay bouncy all day long.

Toe box has enough room to not cramp pinky toes or cause stress to large toe joints. The upper mesh material make these great for year-round wear, and they wash up easily, too. I wear the black outdoors and to work.

I purchased a second pair in light pink (they are so, so pretty for all the blush/rose gold lovers) that I wear exclusively in my house when I am cooking, cleaning or on my feet for long periods of time.

These are the best shoes for people who need lots of arch support and cushion. Highly recommend!! I usually wear a size 7. 5- 8 and 38 is a perfect fit for me.

I love these sneakers. At first, I was concerned that they were too large, but wearing a short sock makes them very comfortable. Was concerned that the back was high and would rub the back of my ankle, but they do not.

Very comfortable. I walk miles daily wearing them with no problem. Easy to slip on and can be tightened or loosened with the decorative shoelace if necessary. Ample footbed, great arch support. No toe crunching.

I have the peach and will order more colors.

My sister blessed me with the burgundy Carly Sneaker for my birthday. They were so very very comfortable and elegant that I quickly went to the website to purchase another pair for myself. This Angie slip-on sneaker I selected felt like clouds on my feet.

so light. The tie dye color was exactly what I was looking for because the colors matched a couple of jogging suits I have, However, when I walked the back of the shoe flopped off of my heel with every step I took.

I really loved everything about that shoe but due to my narrow heel/ankle, the fit just did not work for me. I STILL LOVE LOVE LOVE THAT SHOE!.

I bought these a few months ago and only wore them three times before the side elastic ripped and they are no longer wearable. They are too loose and slip off. Contacted customer service but did not get a reply.

Never had an issue with any shoes and I’ve been buying for over 10 years. Would not recommend these.

On the recommendation of a colleague, I purchased a pair of Kenzies at a wonderful discount. They are amazingly comfortable to walk and stand in and have significantly lessened the pain in my back. I’m beginning to suffer from some vertebra degeneration after 32 years of teaching on concrete floors.

My Kenzies will help me through the end of the semester!.

I have custom orthotics that didn’t fit well in this shoe unfortunately. Heel kept slipping off. I returned them and asked for a smaller size and haven’t heard anything in almost two weeks. An email that they were received would be nice.

Mailed at UPS so should be there by now. Cute shoes but have to fit well at this price.

Extremely disappointed in the construction of this shoe. Difficult to “adjust” the support system. The zipper did not work on either shoe. Couldn’t get a firm grasp of the zipper tab to move the zipper.

Forget the convenience of the zipper. For the price, I expected more.

I got these because of the arch support and the zipper, which I thought would make them easier to put on and take off. They are extremely comfortable, but the zipper on the right shoe doesn’t unzip! While I could return them for another pair, I decided to go ahead and keep them since I love the silver color that I ordered and I suspect that color will go quickly.

It’s a great shoe, but don’t count on using the zippers.

Love this shoe! I needed a shoe for Zumba classes, and I needed them to have extra good arch support. These are not only very cool looking, but they have great arch support. What more could I need.

I bought these less than six months ago and they were great until the past few weeks. They are very versatile. You can wear them to church or on casual days. And my teenage daughter even says she would wear them because they are stylish looking! But, they have been starting to stretch out the past few weeks and now they do not stay firmly on my feet without me curling my toes so I am starting to get foot pain again (even though they are set to the tightest setting and I do not have narrow feet).

I expected to get longer than five months out of a $100 pair of sandals.

If you like to wear sandals and need good arch support, I highly recommend these PowerStep sandals. I have flat feet and wear size 8- 8. 5 sneaker and purchased the size 9. The CS told me they run small.

They were right on. Fit is perfect. The sandals are comfortable. Affordable price and quick delivery.

I use Powerstep orthotics (the serious podiatrist-prescribed ones) for a disloated cuboid bone in my foot since last winter. My summer sandals–except my old Keens, of course–lack the arch support I now need, so I was hoping these Powerstep flipflops would provide the same kind of support my Powerstep orthotics do.

They are OK. but not as much arch support. And I have to size up because there are no 9. 5s, so the arch doesn’t come in quite the right place. Furthermore, the toe area is pretty narrow (I have wide feet) and my little toes hang over a bit.

For someone who doesn’t need a half size and has a narrow foot these would be OK but all-day use in the summer, for serious arch-orthotics users, is not so great–my foot hurt the next day, sadly.

I love these sandals. However, the fit is such that I am going to buy a men’s sandal next time. The fit is not right for my foot. I wear thongs all summer with a sturdy foot bed. I normally wear an 8.

5 in US and 39 in european. I have to buy a 10 in your product.

My feet are terrible and I need full-foot support, not just sole-support. I have tried the meshy/knit sneakers (Francis and Coral styles) and those didn’t last very long (barely 6 months). Those are great for sole-support only.

Then I saw the Whitney and with it being all-leather, went for it. The leather is stiff enough to be something akin to a foot brace. Its like Spanx for your feet! The Whitney took only 1. 5 weeks to break in (essentially heel realignment) but the overall foot felt better immediately.

Conclusion: if you only need sole-support, feel free to try out either the leather or the meshy style sneakers. If you need something akin to a foot brace (like an ankle brace feels on a sprained ankle), go for an all-leather style.

I also prefer the lace-ups. The no-tie work fine, but they can get loose and I ended up tightening them a bunch every day anyway (because my feet are so bad–probably wouldn’t have noticed it if I was just looking for sole support).

So laces it is. I never take these off. I would sleep in them if I could. Since they’re white with some designs on the side, they look like standard sneaks, and not like nurse shoes. I’m pretty confident I will wear Whitneys every day here on out until the day I die.

I am elated to report my extreme happiness with this purchase. I had ordered these shoes from a desperation position. Having battled neuropathy pain for the past two years, I was in need of any level of relief.

With these shoes, my feet do not have increase pain in the morning simply because I put my shoes on. With these shoes, I can wear them all day – and not feel the need to immediately take them off at the end of my day.

With these shoes, I have been able to restart my walking routine with joy and not have to mentally prepare myself for each attempt to walk. I have since ordered two additional pairs of shoes from Orthofeet, both providing the same level of satisfaction (joy) that the first pair have delivered.

They are not miracle workers – but have provided pain relief, allowed me to be more active and have eliminated the anxiety of having to walk anywhere for any length of time. My only regret is not having found these shoes earlier.

I was looking for a comforatable shoe for walking. I’m planning on a trip that will involve a lot of walking and wanted to get started with a routine. I bought a national brand but they were too tight even though I bought a half of size up.

The whitney shoe was a stark contrast. I have narrow feet and so I do like a narrow shoe but I don’t like my feet and toes to feel crunch which I felt with the other brand. These however have the added benefit of giving you a wider area for your toes.

I usually buy a half size up in sneakers to make sure of a comfy fit and with the smaller added insole that comes with the shoes the fit feels perfect. The shoes are very comfortable for walking. The shoe is very well made.

I like the leather upper and it looks great on. The benefit of the added insole is that if you have a heavier sock you can always remove it. All around I’m very satisfied with this shoe and look forward to wearing it on vacation.
