Immersive home gaming, seamless on-the-go audiothe Razer Barracuda X is built for both. Designed for multi-platform gaming and mobile entertainment, this 4-in-1 USB-C wireless headset offers true versatility and freedom backed by long-lasting comfort, powerful drivers, and a crystal-clear mic.
The Razer Barracuda X is a versatile, lightweight wireless gaming headset designed for seamless use across PC, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
I bought these on sale and for the price the headphones are great. I have previously used Corsair and Logitech gaming headphones. The Razer Barracuda X has better quality high and mid sounds while the lows are not near as impressive as previously used gaming headsets.
I had to play around with the fit for these to be comfortable. I have a big head and big ears and the Barracuda X is not as comfortable as the other headsets I’ve used. The earcups are slightly on the small side it gets uncomfortable on my ears for long periods of time.
The earcups are soft breathable material and the headband is made with a metal band and has a nice pillow cushion. I do like that the volume control on the headphones is separate from the system volume control.
It makes it easy to raise or lower the volume when sound levels change. The USB C wireless dongle is slim, I often plug it into my cell phone to use the headphones while watching videos, or for handsfree calls.
The call clarity when using these for work meetings is great, I have no problem hearing everyone. Pros * Price * Build Quality * Clear high and mid tones * Volume control on headphones separate from system volume * Removable Mic * USB C wireless dongle is compact.
Cons * Ear cups are a little small * Low tones weak * No tone from mute button.
This is the WORST gaming headset I have ever used. I’ve been gaming on a pc since 2012 and have used all kinds of headsets. I only give it 2 stars because of the price and comfort. Other than that, it’s awful.
First of all there’s this random beeping sound that will randomly go off when I’m using them. It’s not because the mic is being muted since I don’t use the mic that came with it. Someone said that it may be because there’s a loose connection but that isn’t the case because it’s clearly secured into my PC.
I can see that it is. I’ve never had any sort of loose connection problem before. I’ve also put it into multiple USB outlets. When it beeps it’ll beep then mute all sound for a good 2-3 seconds which is extremely annoying.
Also the battery life is atrocious. It doesn’t even come close to competing with any other headset I’ve used it dies so fast. And as of recently it will randomly turn off… Which my god is so annoying.
The battery won’t even be dead it will just shut off. I stream so I need my sound so this is extremely annoying since powering it back on takes about 3-5 seconds. I streamed today and it did this about 7 times.
Also the knob that’s used to adjust the sound gets bumped very easily and I don’t know whether or not my sound is muted on my pc or the headset which is annoying as well. I should have expected something like this I guess since this is one of Razer’s cheaper products but I didn’t think I’d be this disappointed.

These are ok. I’ve actually downgraded from G933’s because the battery wouldn’t charge anymore and only worked when wired to power. Anyway, the reason I bring that up is because there’s a big difference between the two and I feel like I should’ve got the G935’s or something similar.
The first thing I noticed of the bat was the sound difference in games. The sound field was so different and it’s hard to hear where sound is actually coming from whereas with the G933’s I knew exactly where sound was coming from.
I also didn’t realise that these don’t have G-hub support so you don’t have all the features that supports. The mic is a lot less receptive being only a small notch on the earcup itself and doesn’t sound that good and it’s too receptive to ambient sound, I have to use push-to-talk (on PC) or all everyone can hear is my mechanical keyboard.
Physically the headset is nice looking and is super lightweight and feel comfortable at least. If you have a decent gaming session you’ll need to put them back on the charger or you’ll find your getting the warning bro not long into your next session.
Being Bluetooth is also a bonus and music actually doesn’t sound too bad, I was actually surprised at that. Overall they are good headphones, I just probably expected too much going from the much higher quality G933’s.
Sound is Survival. Designed for immersion and performance, the JBL Quantum 600 2. 4GHz wireless gaming headset gives you a clear edge over the competition with accurate and immersive sound. JBL QuantumSURROUND sound replicates a wider, more realistic spatial environment, so you never miss a detail.
The voice focus boom mic enables clear communication with other players, while a DISCORD-certified game-chat balance dial allows you to easily balance chat and game audio levels. Leather-wrapped, memory foam ear cushions keep you comfortable, while a 14-hour battery life enables cord-free, long-lasting gaming sessions.
Dominate your opponents and gain a clear audio advantage with JBL Quantum 600 headset.
I recieved this Quantum 600 headset as part of JBL’s backstage pass program to try out and ended up really enjoying them. They have since replaced my other popular brand gaming headset. The earcups are deep, well padded and large enough to completely cover my ear comfortably.
The frame and body is made of a sturdy feeling plastic and the head strap has decent padding and covered in the same soft, smooth synthetic material as the earcups. Although a bit on the heavy side, I can wear this headset for hours without ear fatigue or discomfort and the benefit of being wireless with a 14hr rechargeable battery is worth the added weight.
The directional Quantum Surround sound is impressive. Sound quality is great with very precise audio – clear crisp treble and warm, full bass. The separate game and chat volume wheels make it quick and easy to find the perfect balance for any encounter.
The mic is intuitive by activating automatically when lowered and easy to adjust. Apparently the audio pickup is clear with no buzzing or humming on the other end according to people in chat. The Quantum 600 uses 2.
4G wireless connectivity and can also use an included 3. 5mm headphone jack that works when the battery dies or is charging. The wireless range is pretty incredible and is my favorite feature of the Quantum 600.
It allows me to walk around pretty much anywhere in my house while staying in range. The JBL Quantum Engine software is cool, but only works on PC. Although the headset works across all platforms, It would be nice if the software worked on Mac and consoles as well to be able to take advantage of all of it’s features.
Overall this headset is great. For me, comfort and battery life is key and the Quantum 600’s deliver both. What’s also great is that the Quantum 600’s are part of an entire line of Quantum gaming headsets.
So if there is a certain feature or price range you are looking for, JBL probably offers it in a very comfortable headset model. Be sure to check out the Quantum Connectivity Overview chart on JBL’s site to see what model is best for you as the range of Quantum headsets all offer something a bit different.
I am very happy with the new Quantum 600 gaming headset I recieved. It will certainly get many many more hours of use.

So far using them I’ve notice no issues. The mic was just a little low (not problematic low) until I downloaded the steel series engine/ driver. There, your able to adjust everything. The sound is very clear and crisp even turned up.
There’s no echo on the other end and it’s comfortable around the head and ears. I haven’t tried using them wired yet, but the wireless mode hasn’t given me a reason to. Keep in mind these are NOT bluetooth.
They are wireless through a 2. 4Ghz dedicated transmitter which is how it’s lagless. I’ve notice no lag and the battery is great. I guess now it’s all on their durability. Let’s see how long they last.
Oh by the way I snagged them for $99. RIght now on their website they’re having a sale. Microcenter was willing to do price match on this item as well. I have zero complaints as these are strictly for my PC used for gaming.
Everyone I knew warned me that the charging port would go bad. I assumed it was just unlucky. Nope. Within 7 months it will no longer charge unless you hold the wire just right while there’s a quarter moon in retrograde.
This is with normal use and without any ripping the cord out or jamming it in. Because of the warnings of my friends, I tried as hard as I could to be careful with it, but it still biffed it 7 months in.
But the sound quality is good. The Sonar feature is amazing and really enhances the surround sound of the headset. The comfort is perfect for me and the ability to adjust the volume mix on the headset itself is awesome.
With the same speaker drivers as the Arctis 7, the Arctis 1 Wireless features the same signature Arctis soundscape, which emphasizes subtle details to give you an audio advantage.
No annoying pairing. 2. 4GHz gaming class WLAN for lossless sound and voice chat with ultra-low latency on PC and PS4. With the compact USB-C Wireless Dongle, you can use your Nintendo Switch or Android phone for the same wireless sound and voice chat experience on the go.
Using the same speaker drivers as the award-winning Arctis 7, the Arctis 1 Wireless offers the popular Arctis soundscape, which emphasizes sonic detail to give you a sound advantage. The Discord-certified, dual-directional microphone provides superior noise cancellation and makes your voice sound clear and natural.
And it’s detachable for travel. Built to last with a steel-reinforced headband that easily adjusts to fit all head sizes while remaining lightweight and durable. Use the convenient controls on the headset to adjust the volume, mute the microphone, and play or pause videos and music.
With the flexibility of a universal cable that you can easily plug into Xbox controllers or other devices with a 3. 5mm blade, you’ll never have to worry about being connected again. With the SteelSeries engine, you can fully personalize EQ settings, micro level and overtones for the perfect sound experience.
I really liked the sleek design and comfort of these headphones, so I tried to make them work for a week before returning them today. The deal breaker for me was the frequent snap, crackle, and pop sounds I was getting while streaming on Twitch.
My old wired headset didn’t have this problem, so I reviewed the Steelseries headset/mic and OBS bit rates and made sure the mic was fully plugged in. I tried a couple other things, but the only one I refused was setting the sound EQ to flat in SteelSeries GG (product management app) because it honestly sounded much worse in comparison to “music” mode.
For $100, I should be able to use different EQ settings at the very least!! PROS – Sleek design. The reason why I picked the Steelseries vs. other options at Target. – VERY comfortable ear cups. Would not hurt my ears after 5-hour gaming or TV sessions.
I also have 5 piercings per ear so this was very impressive and the main reason I didn’t want to give up this headset. CONS – Medium difficulty setup. After downloading SteelseriesGG and pairing the headset to my PC, the audio worked – but not the mic.
I followed the Steelseries FAQ to troubleshoot, and it did not work. It somehow started working when I went to Sounds > Properties > Listen and check marked “Listen to this device” (not mentioned anywhere on Steelseries and random reddit threads).
That brought the mic to life, and I was able to uncheck the box and save. – Confusing battery life LED indicator. It often would not update with the correct color indicator. For example, I would charge it to Green and then it would be Yellow as soon as I turned it on to use the headset.
– Minor snap/crackle/pop issues in voice chat (Discord) and audio (listening to TV shows). My friend told me it wasn’t bad, but sometimes my voice sounded choppy in Discord. Sometimes there would be audio lag.
It wasn’t the end of the world, but it was noticeable. – Garbage SteelseriesGG program. Whoever made this app needs to go back and work on it. You need this to set up the Bluetooth dongle pairing and in the future for viewing the battery life icon or changing EQ settings.
However, the program never properly terminates after you close it, even after you’ve turned off your PC. I would have to run it as administrator and terminate all duplicate tasks 3x to get this app to even launch and load.
And it’s not even the regular. exe launcher! I had to dig around Program Files for another version of the app launcher and pinned it to Start. Finally, I wondered if the problem was my hardware – could I be maxing out my USB bandwidth? I picked up a HyperX Cloud Flight (wireless 2.
4 Hz USB) on the same day after returning the Steelseries. Surprisingly, I did not have any issues. I even put the HyperX USB in the exact same USB 3. 0 slot as the Steelseries USB Bluetooth dongle. Therefore, I am inclined to think the Steelseries USB was either defective or low quality.
