Such as the quality of the wiper blades, the size of the windscreen, the climate, etc. However, as a general rule of thumb, wiper blades for the money should be able to provide a clear view of the road ahead, even in heavy rain or snow.

I put these Rain-X wiper blades on my daily driver about 6 months ago and they were quite impressive. When I needed a new wiper blade on my new car I asked for Rain-X by brand name because they worked so well on my other vehicle.
These blades are extremely efficient in clearing water from the windshield and they are very quiet. I don’t turn on my wipers when there is no water on the windshield so I can’t speak to that but even in a light mist they are extremely quiet.
They seem a little expensive but if they last as long as advertised it is money well spent.
Enjoy streak-free visibility in rain, sleet or snow, with the Bosch “Clear Advantage” All-Season Wiper Blade. A true all-weather performer, this durable wiper blade withstands even harsh weather conditions and resists corrosion.
The precision-tensioned steel spring applies even pressure along the entire length of the blade, for consistent wiping across the windshield. The aerodynamic wind spoiler prevents blade lift off at high speeds, while the graphite-treated rubber wiping edge reduces friction to ensure smooth, quiet operation.
This wiper blade includes a pre-mounted multi-adapter for quick and easy installation.
I purchased Bosch wipers before and they worked fine. These were on sale for less than half of the other model and I found out why. These are junk. The longer left side blade didn’t even make full contact with the windshield in the center.
The shorter right side worked for a couple months, but then started skipping and making a loud rubbing noise. Hopefully Bosch discontinued this model.
High quality traditional blade meets or exceeds all original equipment manufacturer’s standards. Long lasting durability defined by a galvanized steel frame that prevents rust and corrosion. All natural squeegee rubber resists cracking, splitting and tearing caused by heat, cold, windshield wiper fluid and salt.
Pre-installed with small j-hook adapter and contains multi-adapter for side pin, large j-hook and bayonet wiper blade arms.
Check blades twice a year and replace as needed at least once a year.
Reviews From Real Customers
These are well made solid wipers but they simply do not fit/work for a 2014 Honda CR-V. The driver side wiper will not lay flat against the windshield near the end. There is at least 1. 5 – 2 inches of space between the wiper and the windshield.
It’s like there is not enough pivot built into them. They can’t flex down on the windshield. Maybe this is an oversight on Rainx’s part or maybe Honda just has some odd wiper arms. In doing some research a lot of other Honda owners had the same problem.
Different makes and years but still had the same problem. It’s a shame because i feel these “traditional” wiper blades hug the windshield much better then the new style. I have these exact blades on my 2011 Mazda 3 and they are great, just not so much on the 2014 CR-V.

I have only had the bosch wipers on the car for a couple of weeks but we have had a lot of rain and the wipers did very well. The only complaint I have is that as a first time installer, the instructions on the wiper box were bad or next to non exiistant.
I finally had to watch a bosch installation video and even then it wasn’t that helpful. After an hour of muddling through I finally succeded. Really a good company with an excellent product should be able write better instructions.
Original spare part with Bosch quality, however due to importing It’s not a good value for money FOR ME as it’s made in China so I could had it with a little bit lower price
Premium conventional wiper blade.Provides a smooth, clean, streak-free wipe. All steel frame for long lasting durability.Pre-installed universal lock connector.
Been driving through some major torrential downpours with this blade and I am glad that I put it on the Driver’s side (against recommendations). My Driver’s Side with a 22 inch was 2 inches too big and kept hitting the side of the car; thus, causing smears, streaks, and loud sounds.
Eventually, this caused the blade to lose its grip of rubber to the blade itself.

The revolutionary Rain-X Latitude wiper blade contours to the curvature of your windshield to provide even wiping pressure along the full length of the blade. For the last 40 years, Rain-X has provided drivers with products to help them outsmart the elements.
I bought this thinking it was supposed to be a higher quality wiper blade. Exactly 30 days to the day after purchase and literally 2 rain events, the blade ripped in the center at the worst time, right in the middle of a thunderstorm while going down the freeway.
Stupid me didn’t have the original receipt, but I didn’t think twice to keep it since all other wiper blades I’ve purchased lasted me at least two years, even Wal-Mart’s cheap $5 wiper blades! Luckily the guy at the store took care of me and let me exchange to some Bosch blades and just charged me the difference, though he noted that the warranty on them had already expired, even though it was only 30 days.
Wow. How’s that for not guaranteeing your product? Even he noted that the Rain-X latitude wipers are junk and he won’t touch them. What a shame.
The windshield reference book for finding your size wiper blade was wrong. I have a Toyota Camry 2009. The driver side is twenty-four inches and the passenger side is twenty inches. When I turned on my wiper during the first rain storm, the blades kept hitting each other.
I went back to Oreilly’s to find out the problem and the passenger side blade was too long. I ending up buying a nineteen inch wiper blade. The clerk would not exchange the blade. I ended up buying the nineteen inch wiper blade.
So I ended up paying for three wiper blades. I provided the clerk with my receipt, but that was of no avail. It was my first use of the wiper blades. I would like to get a refund for the twenty inch wiper blade.
Installation with a J hook is near impossible. The clip that secures the blade says it can be hard to open, which it was so as recommended, I used a coin. However, it is even more difficult to get that same clip to close securely to hold the blade.
I have changed wiper blades more times then I can count and feel that the Hulk himself may struggle with this. Blades will be returned for something easier to install and also at a lower cost.

Dont buy the rain x wiper blades. They are junk, the worst I ever used. 2012 camaro with a perfect windshield. These wiper blades will not wipe the windshield clean, they skip streak and I constantly have to clean the windshield myself.
They dont cling to the windshield. I even used rain x which itself is a great product but I feel cheated on their overpriced rip off wiper blades. Do yourself and run from Rain X wiper blades. If you buy cheap $3.
00 blades they will always beat rain x blades. I’m glad we dont have snow I feel sorry for those people. Dont put your life at risk by using rain x wiper blades. they stole my money.
Have used this Rain-X on previous family cars. Was going to use on son’s ’18 Subaru Crosstrek. Found out their special wiper arms accept a totally different mount than one typically sees (I did not know) plus the washer sprayer is built into the side of the wiper arm, so non OEM blades could block that.
I gave small size blade to daughter for her Altima and the bigger size can be used in another year or so on the wife’s car. Live and learn. Past use was fine for Rain-X and this is a very good product.
Every so often, clean the wiper blade with alcohol on a towel to get build up off and smoother action on the glass.
Durable all-weather performance in rain, ice and snow, Exclusive Smart Flex Technology adjusts wiper contact pressure based on the curve of your windshield for better wipe performance, Sleek aerodynamic cover prevents the wiper from clogging with road debris, ice or snow, Fast-Lok connector system for installation in minutes.
Well worth the price. I got them on sale. Bogo 50% off. Easy install. It was my first time installing wiper blades. They went on a 2007 Impala. They hug the windshield leaving no streaks during the rain or snow fall.
Easy to replace. Watching a YouTube video helped . They are cleaning my windshield well. Much cheaper to DIY than pay a mechanic to do this simple task!
I purchased the 18, 20, and 24 inch Michelin cyclone hybrid blades for my 2002 Mercury Sable wagon. The 20 and 24 inch blades for the windshield work nice and smooth. The 18 inch blade for the hatch in its down sweep doesn’t touch the glass on the top 3-4 inches and the bottom 4-5 inches.
Not enough flex in the blade to form to the glass. Would like a blade that would make contact in the full sweep. Thanks.

The bracketless design and tension springs help keep the blade flexible and provide superior wiping performance in all climate conditions.
The website showed it was an exact fit. It was too big for the wiper arm. After I could not mount it the counter guy tried. He then issued a refund. It looks ALMOST like the original blade. If it had fit I’d probably have been happy with it.
The original blades are still fairly good after three years.

How do I know when my wiper blades need to be replaced?
The best way to tell if your wiper blades need to be replaced is to check them regularly for wear and tear. Look for cracks, fraying, or chunks missing from the blades. If they are damaged, they will likely need to be replaced.
How often should I replace my wiper blades?
You should replace your wiper blades at least once a year, but more often if you live in an area with a lot of rain or snow.
What are the signs that my wiper blades need to be replaced?
There are several signs that may indicate it is time to replace your wiper blades:
1. If your wipers are leaving streaks or lines on your windshield, it means they are no longer making full contact with the glass, and need to be replaced.
2. If you hear a screeching noise when you use your wipers, it means the blades are dry and cracked, and need to be replaced.
3. If your wipers are skipping or jumping when in use, it means the blades are damaged and need to be replaced.
4. If you see any cracks, tears, or fraying on the blades, it means they are deteriorated and need to be replaced.
How do I replace my wiper blades?
In order to replace the blades of your wiper blades, you will need to purchase new blades and then follow these instructions:
1. Park your vehicle in a safe location where you can easily access the wiper blades.
2. Lift the wiper arm away from the windshield.
3. Remove the old wiper blade by sliding it off the wiper arm.
4. Slide the new wiper blade onto the wiper arm.
5. Lower the wiper arm back onto the windshield.
6. Repeat this process for the other wiper blade.
What are the best ways to care for my wiper blades?
To ensure your wiper blades last for as long as possible, it is important to take care of them and clean them regularly. Here are a few tips on how to care for your wiper blades:
-Inspect your wiper blades regularly and replace them if they are cracked, split, or worn down.
-Clean your wiper blades with soapy water and a soft cloth on a regular basis.
-Be sure to clean the area around your wiper blades to prevent them from sticking.
-If you live in a cold climate, be sure to scrape any ice or snow off of your windshield and wiper blades before using them.
-Never use your wiper blades to remove anything other than water from your windshield.
What are some common problems with wiper blades?
One common problem with wiper blades is that they may not clear the entire windshield, leaving streaks or areas of moisture. Another problem is that the blades may chatter or skip when in use, producing a streaky or incomplete wipe.
Additionally, wiper blades may become bent or damaged over time, making it difficult to produce a clean, streak-free wipe.
Conclusion
After careful consideration, we have come to the conclusion that the best wiper blades for the money are the Bosch ICON 26A and the Rain-X Latitude Water Repellency Wiper Blade. Both of these blades offer superior performance in terms of durability, blade life, and wiping quality.
In terms of price, the Bosch ICON 26A is slightly more expensive than the Rain-X Latitude, but we feel that the extra cost is worth it for the added durability and quality that the Bosch ICON 26A offers.
