Share a thoughtful gift for your favorite American whiskey fan with Bulleit Bourbon Whiskey with a Special Edition Lewis Gift Bag. Traditionally used to crush ice for Mint Juleps, the Bulleit Lewis Bag is made with triple-stitched canvas, sturdy brass grommets, a secure magnetic closure, plus an authentic wrap-around orange leather label and tag.
This canvas bag also doubles as a beautiful bottle wrap for gifting a bold, bourbon whiskey. Bulleit Bourbon is inspired by the whiskey that was pioneered by Tom Bulleit’s great-great-grandfather, Augustus Bulleit, over 150 years ago.
Only Ingredients of the very highest quality are used. The complexity of Bulleit Bourbon comes from its unique blend of rye, corn, and barley malt, along with special strains of yeast and Kentucky limestone-filtered water.
Due to its especially high rye content, Bulleit Bourbon has a bold, spicy character with a finish that’s distinctively clean and smooth. Medium amber in color, with gentle spiciness and sweet oak aromas, the mid-palate is smooth with tones of maple, oak, and nutmeg.
The finish is long, dry, and satiny with a light-tasting toffee flavor that lingers long after the final sip. Simply combine our bourbon whiskey with cloves, lemon juice, brown sugar and hot water for a comforting Hot Toddy.
Includes one 80 proof 750 mL bottle of Bourbon Whiskey and a Special Edition Lewis Bag. Bulleit Bourbon is still distilled and aged in the Bulleit family tradition. High rye content gives it a bold, spicy character with a distinctively smooth, clean finish.
Kentucky limestone-filtered water provides a foundation for the bourbon’s character, while charred American oak barrels lend a smoky backbone. Please drink responsibly.
This bourbon has a complex aroma of vanilla and molasses with a taste that is pleasantly sweet with hints of spice. The finish is long and dry, with much depth. From the largest and oldest distillery in America.
I’ve recently become interested in bourbons and began reading as much as I could about the various brands. The Buffalo Trace distillery in Frankfort, KY produces some of the worlds best bourbons. Expressions like Pappy Van Winkle, W.
L. Weller, Blanton’s. Eagle Rare, to name just a few. Their are different types of drinkers to speak value to. For people using it as a mixing bourbon, its full flavor mixes well without losing many of the bourbon’s characteristics, and it’s probably priced right around the max of what they want to spend.
As a sipper, no matter what experience you may have drinking whiskey straight, anyone can enjoy drinking this one. The quality and flavor of Buffalo Trace is always far better than you’d expect from a $25 bottle of bourbon.

L. Weller, Blanton’s. Eagle Rare, to name just a few. Buffalo Trace is their flagship expression and had gotten very good reviews. As the other reviewer pointed out, Buffalo Trace had become hard to get here in PA.
Our State Liquor Stores( yes we still have State control of liquor here in PA) were completely sold out and I knew I wanted to try some. So I placed an order with Caskers. The bottle arrived well packed and in short order.
After trying several other brands and then the Buffalo Trace, I can tell you that this bourbon is currently my favorite to sip neat or on the rocks. It is an exceptionally smooth bourbon. If you haven’t yet, give this a try.
6-2-2022Local big box store happened to have 3 bottles on the shelf. I snapped all of them up This bourbon is very versatile. Great neat or in a cocktail. The vanilla bean opening and sweet cherry pie after taste are something to treasure.
I hope to find a nice mini cask for this whiskey to go with my Pappy Van Winkle reserve and my Eagle Rare collection triumvirate!Cheers!.
I’m a single malts from Islay girl, but trying to give some love to bourbon & rye. There are a few I like so far. I tried to like this one. Really I did, But I find it only ok. I’ll use it for cocktails, but straight? It just doesn’t have the oomph I’ve come to expect in the flavor department.
Someone described the Islay whisky I love as tasting like old bandaids, merchurachrome (??), and burned house. I’m wondering how they knew what that tasted like. This just tastes…bleh. With some eggnog, or fresh apple cider, maybe real Jamaican spicy ginger beer…it’ll do.
Whisk(e)y that really does it for me, I drink straight, with a wee bit of water. This is not that for me.
My goto bourbon. Makes the best Whiskey Sour. Tried many many bourbons and whiskeys but always come back to FR small batch. The caramel and vanilla flavor pairs so well with the sour mix it’s crazy. If using a premixed sour mix, use Mr and Mrs T’s whiskey sour mix (your welcome in advance).
It’s my first ever bourbon. My son is educating me on bourbon. I loved it. I’d like to try other bourbons but four roses may always be my first love. Smooth, gently bringing the flavors alive with the vanilla.
My first thoughts were a roasted marshmallow over a campfire.

The 80 is a traditional bourbon, handcrafted with old-fashioned methods, using the finest natural ingredients, including at least 51% corn, along with barley and rye. Jimmy Russell states that 80 is an unpretentious, yet finely crafted bourbon.
It’s ideal on the rocks in a smoky bar, and perfect for those who enjoy bourbon with a mixer. Wild Turkey 80 has a deep, but soft aroma with classic bourbon characteristics of sweetness and corn. The excellent bourbon taste balances traditional caramel and vanilla flavors.

I’ve had a lot of bourbons over the years and have made this my only bourbon I buy and drink now. First off, it’s made with non GMO corn! That’s a huge deal to me. On top of that, it’s 50. 5 % alcohol! Last but most important, it taste great! It’s got everything I want in a whiskey at a very modest price.
Seriously, why pay more? Just hope the price doesn’t keep creeping up? If it does, I’ll keep buying it cause everything else will have as well.
There are several types of bourbon, each one serving a specific & special purpose. Like a date with an attractive woman, you can enjoy spending hours of complex conversation with. That’s why Four Roses came into existence.
Then there’s that date when everything is destined to have a Wild Turkey 101 ending. Just my way of saying this whiskey has the best finish of any I’ve ever consumed.
Not gonna lie at first it was a little Hot because I’m relatively new. But after a few glasses here and there I’m now acclimated. Let me tell you wow, you really taste the difference between an 80 or 90 proof and this.
It’s an absolute caramel bomb and pretty sweet. I’ll always keep it around. Goes great in cocktails too, actually stands up. But I have to say I recommend it neat.

Bulleit Rye is a whisky that is produced by the Bulleit Distilling Company. Bulleit Rye Whisky was the dream of Tom Bulleit’s with the aim of getting the Bulleit brand to the next level with its products.
The introduction of the rye whisky to the selection in 2011 has since seen it emerge as the leading rye whisky in the USA. The bourbon that the Bulleit Distilling Company have produced in the past already had a high rye content (the mandated rye content is 51%), however the Bulleit Rye Whisky consists of a much higher than normal rye content, standing at 95%.
Along with the 95% rye that is used in the distilling process they also use 5% malted barley to give us the finish product Bulleit Rye which is made in small batches. Bulleit Rye Whisky has a brilliant russet colour to it which gives off the aroma of cherries and vanilla along with hints of leather and tobacco.
The initial flavour consists of warm spices which are then followed by flavours of cherries, peaches and tones of orange. There’s a lovely crisp and clean finish to it which is somewhat smoky with elements of cinnamon and allspice.
&edsp; Over the years Bulleit Rye Whisky has won many awards including Double Gold Medal in 2011, 2013 and Gold Medal in 2012 at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition as well as Gold Medal in 2012 by the Beverage Testing Institute.
Our recommendation is that this whisky is best served with cocktails like Old Fashioned and The Manhattan.
In the 1830s Augustus Bulleit created a unique bourbon in Louisville, Kentucky. The Bulleit Kentucky quickly became famous. But one day Augustus Bulleit disappeared during an extradition to New Orleans.
With him, his unique creation was almost lost. In 1987 Thomas E. Bulleit fulfilled a heart’s desire and saved the bourbon recipe of his ancestor from oblivion. He founded the Bulleit Distilling Company and today produces the Bulleit Bourbon Frontier Whiskey.
Inspired by the recipe of Augustus Bulleit, only the highest quality ingredients are used for this Bourbon. The complexity of Bulleit Bourbon is due to its unique blend of rye, corn and barley. It is rounded off with a little yeast and the pure Kentucky water filtered through limestone.
Pure is the best way to bring out the elegance, but it can also be found in a classic cocktail like a Whisky Sour, or a special Frontier Old Fashioned or Bulleit Bloody Mary.

This small batch bourbon comes from a distillery originally built by Elijah Pepper in Versailles, KY in 1812. ,It is currently one of the oldest of the nine still functioning distilleries in Kentucky.
Brown-Forman sold it after just three years, only to re-purchase it 23 years later in 1994 and subsequently spent over seven million dollars renovating the property. ,The distillery was officially renamed as The Woodford Reserve Distillery in 2003 and is one of the official stops on the Bourbon Trail.
,Production,While Woodford Reserve was originally bottled from extra-aged honey barrels of Old Forester, it is now primarily bottled from bourbon made in old-fashioned copper pot stills (as opposed to modern column stills).
,Their barrels of bourbon are aged in a 100 year-old stone warehouse, whereas many other whiskey warehouses are built from wood. The stone better retains heat, allowing the warehouse to heat and cool more slowly as the seasons change.
This means the whiskey shrinks and expands in the barrel more slowly as well. Some claim that this allows for more predictable aging and consistency in taste. ,The barrels are aged for at least 6 years and then poured and bottled at 90.
The use of wooden barrels to store and transport liquids dates back to 2690 B. C. , when ancient Egyptians during the Early Dynastic Period began replacing clay vessels with wooden casks in order to meet the demands of their sprawling civilization.
The advantages of wooden barrels were evident — not only were they less fragile than clay vessels, but their cylindrical shape allowed them to be rolled rather than carried across short distances. As settlers along the Nile quickly realized, however, barrels made from wooden staves imparted a unique color and flavor profile to the liquids stored within.
Eagle Rare 10 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey was matured for a minimum of ten years in new, American oak casks under the intense, Kentucky sun. As a result of its decade-long beautyrest, the bourbon has a golden honey color, along with an aroma of gentle toast, fresh tobacco and bananas.
The aroma gives way to notes of chocolate, almonds, melons, raisins and dried fruits on the palate, which are complemented by a subtle vanilla undertone. The finish is long and fierce, with hints of roasted nuts and corn.
Eagle Rare 10 Year Old earned a score of 96 points from Wine Enthusiast and 95 points from Robert Parker. In addition, the bourbon earned the Gold Medal at the 2013 International Wine and Spirits Competition, where it was named the “Best Bourbon.

This is the best whiskey I have tasted. Much better than Buffalo Trace which is my favorite because of taste and price. Eagle Rare occasionally comes to the liquor stores in Pennsylvania but it’s immediately sold out.
The price is around $50 which I believe should be the price for this whiskey. I purchased it just to try it since I couldn’t get it from my liquor store. I normally don’t spend more than $60 for a bottle.
The Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon, crafted with care from extra-aged, hand-selected barrels. Today, its still made in the tradition of Elijah Craig, the man who gave Kentucky Bourbon its signature flavor and aroma.
After seeing the hazmat 139. 7 proof on this private barrel I knew it had to be purchased. *Warning* this bottle is not for the faint of heart but for those that can brave the proof you’re in for an experience.
Very complex and rich throughout. Nose: Carmel, dried red fruit, hint of chocolate Palate: Chocolate covered cherries, rich smooth Carmel, complex Finish: For days… lasts a very long time… more of the palate just lingers on the back of the tongue.
Overall: For me this is a definite buy… heck multiple buy at this point. If you are new to bourbon or whiskey you may want to wait on this one but for any experienced / avid bourbon or whiskey drinker this is a must have.

With a sharp and sweet aroma, this Kentucky bourbon features a strong floral character that swirls with hints of mint, rich tobacco leaf and vanilla.
This liquor is sharp at first, but softens quickly to deliver hints of spice and light orange notes. The finish is long, warm and slightly drying with a nice level of sweetness. Anything is subjective to specific tastes. film, desserts, and bourbon also gets added to the list. Old Forester 100 (OF100) has been a consistent top pick in my bourbon journey. The flavor profile is just right.
just the right amount of sweetness and spice for my palate and when you add in price and availability, it’s perfect. Palates differ and some people don’t like it but OF has been knocking it out of the park lately with this and their 1920 and it’s a definite ‘must try’ for anyone getting into bourbon.
You don’t need to buy the liter or 750 but instead try an airline bottle or a pint. even a pour at a bar. and pour it over some ice. If you don’t like it, you haven’t lost much.
Going by reviews from expert tasters I had high expectations. I really wanted to like it, but for me it didn’t work. I’m still a noob at bourbon so my palette might be missing something, but I never felt a distinct flavor come through.
As if the flavor was there, but bunched up at the gate unable to get to the starting line. The body seemed thin and the finish bitter and short. At the same time there wasn’t anything especially bad about it either.
It did have a nice clean and balanced taste overall.

He’s worked in Louisville Kentucky for over a hundred years. It has a sophisticated and contemporary style. Pleasant notes of pear and apple successfully complete floral nuances in taste and blend perfectly with the taste of honey and spices.
smooth and mellow taste a smooth long finish is completed. It is a fragrant bouquet with spicy tones, fruity and floral, complemented by nuances of honey. Fresh and fruity notes of bourbon revealed soft pear, apple, honey and spices.
The finish is smooth and long. The bourbon is excellent as an aperitif, in cocktails.
Tasted neat. On the nose, honeyed cornbread and a hint of dark cherry. On the palate, more honey/caramel sweetness, distinct oak wood, even more dark cherry and a hint of cinnamon. The finish is long and warm with more pronounced cinnamon and the sweetness gradually fading.
I do believe I’ve found my favorite bourbon! I’ve also tried it in an old fashioned – yummy – but a shame to use this in a mixed drink when it’s so good all by itself.
I am always trying new bourbons in search of the magic elixir. However, whenever I need to get back to a ‘traditional’ bourbon flavor profile l always revert to Four Roses SB. When I do wonder why do I bother to try and find anything better.

ice

Then add a few dashes of bitters. Next, add a small amount of water to help dissolve the sugar. Finally, add the whiskey and stir. Garnish with a twist of orange peel and serve.
orange peel
The orange peel is an important ingredient in an old fashioned cocktail. It provides a citrus flavor and aroma that complement the whiskey. To make an old fashioned, the orange peel is first cut into thin strips.
Then, the strips are placed in a glass and muddled (pressed) with a pestle to release the oils. The muddled orange peel is then removed and the glass is filled with ice. Finally, the whiskey is added to the glass and the old fashioned is stirred.
