20 Best Wheel For Forza Horizon 3 (2023 Updated)

I bought this G923 and ended up returning it a few hours later, and this is why. First, I got home and opened the box, started taking the contents out and the steering wheel module already had a rattling piece of plastic inside, which was a huge disappointment even before giving it a go.

The setup is really fast as it’s mostly plugged and play, and with the G-Hub app already installed on my computer it was easy to customize each key etc. I used it on PC, tried it with Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, dirt 2.

0, Dirt4, F1 2018 so I gave it a fair trial with multiple games. I’m going to split my review with pros and cons. Pros: – It’s a very affordable setup in comparison to the bigger brands, so if you want to get started with Sim racing I would say this is your solution but don’t expect amazing, the fact that you can snag one at your local best buy is a plus comparing it to the competition.

– G-Hub app makes key binding very easy and fast, plenty to customize (if you’re playing on PC) – Not bulky as some units, with a decent build quality for the price and ease of set up/removal if you have to secure it to a PC desk.

Cons: – The wheel is very small, – The True force is nothing but capturing the sound frequency of the engine of the car, translating it into some weird and unusual feel on the steering wheel. At one point I muted the sound of the speaker to hear how loud the feedback motor was and I could hear the engine revving up/down through the steering wheel, I am not a fan of that.

– The pedals are not the worst, but the brake pedal does not come with any sort of adjusting, nor does it have a feedback feature as some other pedals would do. This is a deal-breaker, as you’re missing half the “feedback” of the experience (why not add that to the brake pedal? it’s just a tiny rumble motor that attaches inside the cylinder.

the wheel has it, why stop halfway?) – THE CLUNKING THIS THING MAKES IS INSANELY LOUD AND ANNOYING!! My wheel came defective as noted above, I thought that was the issue attributed to the rattling but upon searching on youtube before walking into my local BestBuy, I saw many video reviews, with a lot of people on the comment section also describing the same “rattling/clunk” issues.

All in all, this is more for a kid under 15 years old to enjoy from time to time, but this is not a good choice if you want to experience sim-racing at a budget, I recommend staying away from it if that’s your expectations.

Sure, maybe I was expecting a lot more from this but there are far better options considering that for about $500 more you can get a decent (not the best) direct drive set up.

I bought this after playing F1 2020 for a few weeks with a controller and thinking to myself “this ain’t it”. After just a few days with the G923 I feel like my entire experience with sim racing has changed for the better.

And my lap times have proved immensely. I’m having fun on a video game for the first time in years. I’ll skip all the fine points that others have pointed out and get right to the punch. It sounds like the big win with this unit is the TrueFeel, which half of sim racers seem to be skeptical about, instead preferring the T300.

To someone who has no experience in the racing sim arena, but has driven high performance sports cars, I have no complaints with the feeling or noise coming from the wheel (quieter than an analog sports car by a long shot).

In terms of set up it was pretty much plug and play out of the box. I had to adjust some wheel settings for F1 specifically, the biggest one being changing the operating range of the wheel in G-Hub from 920 to 540 – at 920, it was impossible to get the wheel around in time to make an opposite turn.

This one adjustment completely changed the feel so if you’re having some issues with it out of the box, look at some YouTube videos and articles specific to your game and someone has probably figured it out.

With anything Logitech the build quality is what you expect – really solid. Wire management is great, and the clamps/vice used to keep the steering wheel on a desk (if not mounting with hardware) is really solid and easy to mount or take off.

My only real concern is just long term use of a leather steering wheel – I’ll probably find some racing gloves and keep some sanitizer closer by to avoid wear and tear.

This is a very good wheel. I gave it a conservative 4 stars because they don’t allow fractions, or it would be 4. 75. The ding is because I had to uninstall/reinstall Forza Motorsport 7 on Xbox X to get it to see the wheel.

I previously tried a G920, and it didn’t work either. Frustrated, I got the idea to try removing the game and reinstalling with the wheel attached and it worked. The break pedal is much better than the G920, so I don’t regret paying more for this one, plus the feedback is more realistic and smoother game play.

Some other downsides are that you still can’t use the LED’s across the top of the wheel, or the other dials in FM7. I can’t wait for FM8 to come out and hope this wheel can really shine and use all its features fully.

Worth noting, I have the wheel mounted in one of those metal frame stand and the pedals bolted into the base of the stand.

Overall a well designed layout with good tactile feel on the buttons, shifters, and toggle knob. Lightweight, and sturdy, the only issue I have are the grips; the material feels like cheaper grade alcantara, it’s not awful, but it does leave your hands black after only a short stint.

With other alcantara wheels I’ve used, spraying the wheel with some scotchgard generally has helped keep them cleaner feeling for longer, but these grips feel like they’re starting to degrade after only a few hours of use.

I definitely recommend gloves for this wheel.

Pros: Love the shape, holding it gives that feeling of racing a single seater or LMP. The label of the button numbers on the wheel is a big improvement so you know exacttly what you have assigned to what.

Slightly smaller than my old 599xx rim so the ffb feels stronger and more responsive. Cons: The alcantara grips will get dirty very quickly so gloves are recommended if you plan on reselling later. Could do with a couple more buttons as run out of stuff to make pretty quickly in modern sims.

If you have a T series Servo base, this is hands down the best wheel. The other popular formula 1 wheel doesn’t have knobs and buttons that work, but this does. The handles are also leather and it feels very durable.

The wheel doesn’t feel too small as other wheels do. Excellent wheel.

During the recent times of being inside I was inspired by Nascar gameplay on iracing to buy a wheel. So I bought a wheel but not this one. No I went to Walmart and bought a t80 to see if I even wanted to get into Sim racing.

My lord I fell in love with it. Especially with dirt rally on the psvr but I felt that I was missing something important without the force feed back. So after 2 weeks of waiting and watching reviews I bought this one and I’m 100 percent grateful I made the move to the force! You will feel the vehicle while in races and with that you will improve on your favorite game! The USB works well if you are on pc make sure you switch it to ps3 before plugging it in.

Some situations the wheels motor won’t be on but the wheel will still be registering in the computer! On the playstation make sure it’s on ps4 for the ps4 and it’s a plug and play! As always adjust the settings to your liking! Hopefully I’m reminded to do a follow up review for the reliability of the wheel.

I have read that it doesn’t have the best longevity. But we will have to see for that! But during my 30 hours of use for long periods has been on point with no issues!.

A great wheel except a few months after the 2 year warranty runs out the left downshift paddle starts sticking. I’ve bought 2 and the 2nd one is acting up now. The 2nd wheel was actually the T 80 but the wheel was exactly the same and compatible with the t150.

Just went to buy another T80 got home and found out the new t 80 is a piece of crap. Not sure I want another T 150. I do put a lot of hours on it so maybe that’s to be expected.

I decided to dip my toes into sim racing and driving recently and got hooked. The thrustmaster series are about the closest there is to “affordable” when it comes to force feedback wheels. This wheel and pedal set is a real pleasure to drive.

The wheel has a nice feel and the force feedback is great. I can’t recommend this enough.

I have already had 2 of these and they are great when they work! After a few months the first one started not shifting into fourth gear and keeps going from 2nd to 3rd then back to 2nd or just way low in 3rd and not shifting to 4th gear unless you push the gas pedal the left while pushing down.

So that works if it is a track that you can hold it wide open but hurts your foot trying to keep the pressure going to the left. If it is a track were you have to let off and on the gas then you will just go from 1st to the back very fast as your car goes nowhere because it won’t shift out of 3rd gear!! So the first one would have cost more to pay return shipping then to buy a new one, so I bought another one and got the extended warranty so when it stopped working right at least I could send it back for a refund.

So it may be fun for a while but may not last long? Going for my 3rd??.

This is a really solid bit of kit which is good for beginner racing gamers. It is easy to steer and the pedals and realistic and durable. Many settings to adjust to user specifications but one major flaw of the overall wheel is the system used to keep it sturdy.

There are suction cups provided but they are weak and the clamp is hard to tighten to my table but overall for 79 its a bargain and i am enjoying this wheel. Would definitely recommend.

Great steering wheel, good feel in the hands and good feedback form games. My son lives it for his Xbox. It was easy to connect and clamped right onto his existing desk.

It’s all about value. The Thrustmaster T128 Racing Wheel is an entry level force feedback (FF) wheel for use in racing/driving games where realism is helped by. well, force feedback. As your virtual race car enters the turn, there’s resistance from the wheel, or you feel a jitter in the steering when as you hit bumps simulating what you feel in real life.

This is done by a hybrid system of gears, belts, and pulleys within the unit which physically translates the force feedback forces such as cornering, wheel slip, etc. from your racing driving simulator.

The T-128 does this very well, and at a price point that won’t break most people’s budget. The motor could be stronger, but keep in mind this is an entry level with a price that reflects that. The wheel mounted paddle shifters (to change gears) work great, and it’s a bit of a surprise to me Thrustmaster included the very precise magnetic shifters in their entry level FF wheel.

Kudos to them on that decision. The wheel is smooth and fairly quiet. The size of the wheel is on the smaller size, which may bother more than others. There doesn’t appear to be any hard mounting options, just the clamp to keep it secured to a desk.

As an entry level system, it’s probably not going to mounted permanently, but rather mounted and dismounted from a desk, so for most people it likely won’t matter. I was disappointed that the cables connect underneath the unit, and guided out the bottom rear of the motor case.

It would be a far more convenient if it simply connected to the back of the unit. The T128 Racing Wheel also comes with pedals — another added value at it’s price point. While the pedals are very smooth in terms of translating your input into the gas/brake of the simulation, though the physical resistance of the pedals left a lot to be desired.

I can depress the pedals with one finger, making it difficult to incrementally increase pedal pressure. It would be nice to have more resistance, but then the base might just slide across the floor. They also look and feel very cheap, with no weight to them.

I know this is a budget system so I kind of get it, but it’s still disappointing. The T128 reviewed here is compatible with both the Xbox and PC. The versatility to use it on either system certainly adds to its value.

There will be another version for Playstation/PC as well. Despite some of my criticisms, given its price point as an entry level/budge system, I have to say I am very impressed with all that the Thrustmaster T128 Racing Wheel.

It may have just set the standard for what an entry level FF wheel should offer.

I’ve had several racing wheels and I have to say that so far, the T128 from Thrustmaster sits at the top of my favorite gaming controllers. Here’s why: When I first received the package, it was much heavier than I had expected it to be.

This is usually a good sign and the unboxing proved this theory to be correct. The box contains the steering wheel, a clamp, cables and the pedals. A little quick start guide is included and everything looks really sturdy and you can tell that there was a lot of effort put into the design and choice of materials.

Assembly is very easy and once attached to the surface, it’s there to stay. No wobbling or sliding around. The wheel sports most of the buttons of the XBox controller, the placement of the controls is comfortable.

The feel of the buttons is good, the shifting paddles are a little stiff for my taste, but the quality is really excellent. One of the things that I immediately loved while installing the wheel, was the cable management.

It doesn’t get much better than that, with grooves and guides and velcro latches. The length of the cables is generous and it only requires one USB A (or Type C) plug and a power outlet. Now, for testing, since this model is made for XBox AND PC, I did try it on both platforms in order to see if the steering wheel behaved just as good on one as the other.

On a PC running Windows 11, all that was required was a driver (which is a very small download) and I was able to configure the steering wheel to my liking. The interface isn’t flashy, which is fine by me as usually, big fancy heavy companion apps are a pain to work with.

Not so for the T128. Everything is clear and straight to the point. Once configured, it performed like a boss on NFS Heat, Dirt 5, Assetto Corsa, The Crew, Dangerous Driving and Project Cars 3. Some games require you to adjust the key bindings to fully support all the buttons.

But that’s about as much effort as you’ll have to put in. The force feedback is surprisingly strong (it can be adjusted) and steering is precise. On XBox, things are even simpler as the wheel is plug and play.

I tried the T128 on Forza Horizon 5 on a Series X and it worked like a charm. Honestly, it’s hard to find something to gripe about. The only things I wasn’t totally fond of were the size of the steering wheel itself, which is rather small for big hands and the sensitivity of the pedals (which can be adjusted).

In conclusion, the T128 from Thrustmaster is a great steering wheel for beginners and fans of racing games (arcade and simulators). It’s solid and offers excellent compatibility. Unless you’re an enthousiast who wants all bells and whistles (clutch, gear stick, etc.

), this could very well be the steering wheel you are looking for. Great Product, Thrustmaster!.

I picked this up as a unit for my secondary gaming computer (windows 11) so both my boys can play with wheels on racing games. My other wheel is a thrustmaster 248. This unit is not quite as fancy, only 2 pedals (no clutch) but there are shift paddles if needed.

I generally do automatic, so not a loss. The quality of build and pedal feel are excellent. The pedals are a bit close together for my size 11 ½ foot, but pedal feel is good, and the base does not tip as much as my other unit since the springs are not as strong, and putting it against a base to keep them from moving forward is helpful.

It may not be as bad on carpet, but most of my floors are vinyl planking. My youngest son who is still in child sizes can use the pedals without tipping. The 248 model istougher for him, and tips a lot.

Connection was easy, and the computer found it easily, but I am not sure if and how to update firmware. The qr code to support leads me to an empty spot on their site right now, I guess because this is so new, support is not quite in place.

Overall it Did not take long at all to set up physically. Using forza 5, this worked really well, just as well as my other unit, good feedback and in game feel. Honestly I can’t tell much difference in the wheels.

This came with 1 month gamepass code if desired. Both wheels perform well. I sort of like the pedal feel better on this one. Again, I’m not sure if there will be software for this to customize the buttons at all, but this worked right away when I hooked it up, for me I probably won’t change anything.

If I had to purchase my first wheel again, I would have chose this one vs the other more expensive, because value wise for me, I don’t gain much for my uses. That being said this wasn’t available, and I had seen a demo of the other and knew I liked it’s features.

I definitely reccomend this item because it feels like it’s built well, plug and play set up, and value cost wise comes in right in middle of other very nice units, and with this brand I know I can trust it with good compatability.

I received this as a birthday present in May, and was really happy about it. I plugged it into my Xbox One and it worked great! Was fun to play on and had great force feedback. But I have encountered some problems that I would like to explain: 1.

The stand sucked and the wheel would always tip over. Because this isn’t a desk clamp wheel, it’s a cheap flimsy strange that it held together by a screw. 2. Then the stand broke one day and we had to design some makeshift stand for it that took like, a week to make 3.

The acceleration pedal doesn’t work in Forza Horizon 4! I don’t have any other games that support it at the moment but I’m pretty sure it’s not a game thing. Basically how the pedals work it that they register as the RT (or RB, not sure) button and it pretends to be a controller.

The problem is, it doesn’t register as a button. This means it’s like, $300 just sitting around doing nothing bc it doesn’t work. I am going to reach out to thrustmaster and bestbuy, in the meantime, DONT BUY!!!.

This is a fantastic first step into wheel and pedal controllers for the racing gamer that wants to get a little more authentic feel. It’s certainly not a 1:1 recreation of driving a car but it is certainly better than using a controller.

I used it on PC and the setup was easy, mostly plug and play. Aside from downloading the driver, which was also super simple and everything just worked. As for in game performance, it works great. The force feedback is a bit rough at first, but after tweaking the settings I feel like I got it dialed in pretty well and it feels great now.

I was worried that it would aggrivate an old wrist injury that sometimes acts up when it’s stressed, but so far I haven’t had any problems even after a few long sessions. The wheel could stand to be a little bit bigger in diameter personally but it isn’t that big of a deal.

The buttons are very clicky and feel solid, they may not be the star of the show here but it’s nice that they were given some thought as well. The paddles are super nice, I would prefer having a proper H-pattern gear selector, but until I decide to invest in the add on (which I will say it’s nice that this wheel has some expandibility if I want to do that) these paddles will do the trick.

Theyre metal and feel solid, the travel and click is incredibly satisfying. Unfortunately a problem I have with this set is also the paddles, they are attached to the wheel itself and so they turn and rotate with it.

This is fine until I start getting into dirt racing where I will often be going lock to lock on the steering. I have to start hand over hand turning which makes it hard to tell whether I’m hitting the upshift or the downshift paddle.

Leading to a number of mistakes in the process. A solution to this would be to mount the paddles on the base/column of the wheel instead of on the wheel itself so they stay in the same position regardless of how much the wheel is turned.

Other than that this is a great kit and I would definitely recommend it for anyone who doesn’t what to spend 400 dollars for a better set.

Pros: Great wheel, I’ve got plenty of fun out of it so far (about 2 months since purchase). The Leather wheel feels great to hold and is easy to grip; the metal shifters feel great also, providing a decent “click” feel when shifting.

The pedals feel great and are well built, the inclusion of a rubber capped steel rod implant for the brake pedal is fantastic; as a weaker guy I find it much easier to use this way and don’t have to tire myself out after a few laps around my favourite circuits.

Cons: The external compatibility is great although I’ve had some issues. I purchased a TSS Sparco & TH8A Shifter to complement my wheel (via TM Sim) but haven’t managed to get them working on Xbox. I have been busy though and it could be a relatively simple fix along the lines of downloading a software update.

That being said when I’ve plugged the extras in, they haven’t worked for me.

TX and T300 servo bases have practicaly identical mechanism so the same smooth clear nice FFB. I mean great feedback. And I had also in my possesion T500rs and tspc racer which are more strong. But they should improve the thermal design of the wheelbase.

So many problems that can be avoided. I still do believe one should buy it despite the bad reputation. The tx leather edition has a great rim, really nice leather feeling which is way betterbthan the 458 italia edition which is far more plasticky than it should ar the price point.

So if you buy, upgrade firmware and when driving keep the internal fan always on (mode&button 8) to make sure your wheel base has adequate cooling from the beginning of the session. Once it gets hot problems occur.

Pros: Force feedback is excellent, this is my first ever force feedback wheel but I can tell it’s very high quality in terms of how the game responds and gives you info. Pedals feel solid despite the plastic appearance, the metal on the pedals is nice and brake pedal is very good size in particular.

Can eventually swap the wheel for a more premium offering with ease along with the pedals. Cons: The wheel is a bit small and some parts feel a bit ‘tacky’ with rather a lot of plastic on the face of the wheel and on a lot of the steering part making it feel cheap for the price point.

The grips I believe are not actually rubber rather a very sticky plasticky material (only way I can describe it) that after a while does make your hands feel rather like they’re covered in whatever material you’ve been gripping.

It does do a good job however, with lots of buttons and very nice paddle shifters on the back.

Setting up will be a challenge. F1 wants different steering angle, rally different. But PC users are used to tinker. Once you have found your sweet spot oh boy it’s so much fun. I recommend turning force feedback in the settings of the wheel to 75% it helps with overheating because you will wrestle forces less.

At the end of the day I’ve got this wheel to feel the road not to rip my arms off 🙂 P. S. Stand is a must. I assumed that I can just clamp the wheel to the table and drop the pedals on the floor. Wrong! It is so much better with a stand.

This is an amazing starter wheel/pedal set, especially for the price. Everything feels very high quality, and there are so many metal parts that make it feel extra premium. The leather wrapped wheel feel so nice as well, much better than most other higher end wheels to be honest.

The force feedback is also very impressive, I did not expect it at all for this price. It feels closer to a medium tier wheel force feedback, which makes the price even more compelling. Finally, the button positioning is perfect.

The D-Pad and main buttons are all within your thumbs reach, which makes it so easy to add/customize additional functions to your wheel. This is something other, more expensive wheels like the T300 RS really miss the mark.

On top of great positioning, this Logitech G29 has additional functions like the rotating wheel and up/down buttons that make them perfect for common racing functions that require selecting from multiple options.

You will not be disappointed if you can get your hands on this wheel, and honestly the new version is probably worth the money since it is so similar.

I use the wheel and peddles for Farm Simulator, Snow Runner, American Truck Simulator and European Truck Simulator. The unit works well although some of the games have their challenges. This is a software issue on the game side and not the hardware side.

The PS4/5 version of the wheel has slightly more controls than the X-Box version. Since I use a PC I chose the PS4/5 version, more controls is always a good thing. The support software needs a user interface rework that isn’t influenced by marketing trying to make it look “slick”.

The basic functionality is there but is hard to access and use since its main design criteria seems to be to market products and not make it easy to use and understand how to configure those same products.

A mod hub integrated into the configuration software so I choose what version of a games setup I want to download would also be a good idea. I haven’t used the hardware for an extensive time so I can’t comment on build quality although my initial impression is that it is quite good for a plastic encased unit.

Durability and reliability have yet to be determined.

Firs time I got this is worked perfect. I love it. You can make the 270 degrees turn. Just like a real car giving a precise accuracy to the road allowing precision driving. I usually use it for the ATS American Truck simulator.

Gas and if you get the shifter it works even better. It will respond just like a car or Truck would when you make those perfect turns and the near-impossible turns that you don’t get with the keyboard.

The shifter will allow you to skip gears real quick in ATS and the Pedals will allow you to quick shift as you need it. This is more for ATS than a racing game but with the extra 270 you probably get more precision driving down to the last degree allow you the perfect edge on the perfect turns.

However, I made the mistake that I left it plugged in and there was a surge and it fried the centering on the wheel. I bought another one and never had a problem. Recommend when you are done playing to unplug the power.

One last thing, A while back this was kind of hard to get. If you are into racing or trucking, this and the shifter is worth the 399. Just remember to unplug the power when you are done for the night.

(Yea, its 399. If it wasn’t I would not worry) The last thing, it is very sturdy and I would not pay a penny less for it as long as they keep the quality.

I should start this by saying outside of a cheap wheel for a PS1 I had in the late 90s, I’ve never owned or really even used any racing peripherals at home. That being said, I was absolutely blown away by the quality of this thing for the price (at time of this writing, its $300, but BB will price match the big site named after a forest which usually has it for around $240-$250).

I work as an auto tech for big 3 US dealer, and I will say the fit and finish of this wheel is just about on par with a generic sports car (camaro, mustang, etc. ). Not Porsche or Lambo quality, but for sure nicer than I was expecting.

The leather (not sure if its real, probably fake) feels very nice during long, sweaty handed play sessions, and after 2 weeks of use hasn’t rubbed off or gotten marked in any discernable way (will update if and when it does).

I drive a WRX IRL, and the pedals honestly feel extremely similar to it. They’re sporty and firm feeling, not squishy like a manual Cruze or something, but not track car hard either. I feel the brake pedal could have a little more travel, but it’s nothing major and may just be a personal preference.

I’m pretty sure they don’t change their feel based on vehicle being driven, but games like Forza will change the clutch “bite” point depending on the car. It can be a little akward, simply because you can’t actually physically feel it like you would in a real car, but I imagine that would be a very difficult and expensive thing to emulate from game to real life.

But honestly, once you dial in your settings, it feels just like driving a real vehicle within about 10 min. The force actuation is extremely accurate and MUCH stronger than you think it would be for its size.

(it will shake desks, especially if they’re not super sturdy) Most games default to the strength of it being perfectly in the middle, but I find it best to use it at maybe 35-40%, but yrmv. The whole setup is very heavy and sturdy, without being too cumbersome.

The clamps feel very strong and easy to adjust. it can be a bit akward to route the wiring for the pedals, shifter(not included but highly recommended), power, and main USB connection, especially if your desk is like mine with already terrible cable managment, but there is a slot underneath that does a decent job of keeping things from tangling as the exit the main connection point (directly under the wheel).

The shifter paddles are either mechanically actuated or very good at imitating it. They’re solid metal and feel great to use, but they aren’t self centered, meaning they travel with the wheel. It can be kind of disorienting when trying to turn and shift at the same time, so it will require focus to remember where the upshift vs.

downshift paddles are at any given time. The standard abxy buttons feel fine, not any better or worse than a standard xbox controller. d-pad is about the same. The start and select buttons are a little soft, but nothing terrible.

The only flaw I can find on it is that it doesn’t have a small joystick on it to use in menus or map screens. I play on PC, so i just grab the mouse for those times, but console users may find it difficult to scroll through things like maps or certain menus when only having access to the d-pad.

Thats a small QOL improvement I’d like to see on the next iteration of this thing, There are LS and RS buttons, but they’re not very stable and almost feel like they should click in multiple ways. That being said, I don’t really find a need for those extra buttons.

One thing to note is that if you have it plugged into your computer/console, every time you start or reboot the device, the wheel will self calibrate by turning all the way right and then all the way left.

So if you leave it on the floor or on a shelf when not in use but still plugged in, be sure that the wheel can rotate freely or else youll have to recalibrate the device when you go to use it, and if its in a position where it cant move at all, you may risk burning out one of the motors.

I will note, on PC, even though the buttons are labeled with the xbox layout, many games (even xbox gamepass games like FORZA), will still refer to them as generic pc game controller buttons ie 1-10.

Not at all a dealbreaker, but does require some getting used to sometimes. Overall, its an easy 5 star for me. 98/100, simply because nothing is perfect, and at this price point, the minor features missing are completely acceptable.

This is my first time purchasing and/or using a driving wheel and i did an extensive amount of research before settling on the G920. I am impressed with it and truly enjoy using it. Bow is my detailed review.

Packaging: The product was very well packaged and secured thoroughly. Once you pick up the box you immediately realize that this is a serious piece of hardware. Hardware: The G920 looks and feel very similar to a real steering wheel.

The grip is comfortable, the pedal shifters provide the just right amount of resistance. The buttons are well placed, but take some getting used to. The pedals are very sturdy and the brake is stiff.

Some mayfimd the brake a bit too stiff, but you get used to it IMO. Pros: Durable, responsive, authentic look and feel. Cons: The connection from the steering wheel to your console or PC is too short for my setup in our gameroom.

This was overcome by using a USB extension cord Overall: This is a great wheel and pedal set for anyone who isnt wanting to pay $500 plus for a top-tier set. I tested the Thrustmaster kit in a different store and found it lacking.

I definitely recommend this for anyone who likes racing ganes and wants a more realistic experience.

It looks good but keep in mind if you dont play pc that this wheel is largely not integrated or even fully supported for use on xbox despite how its marketed on the box by Logitech. The lsb and rsb buttons, which are meant to represent the left and right stick buttons respectively, dont work on xbox at all.

The brake pedal features a rubber pad by its sensor to simulate realism, but it ultimately fails at this as it makes the braking far too stiff and unresponsive. Which the renders even using the wheel pointless if theres no option to calibrate the pedals (neither one of the assetto corsa games do not have the calibration feature).

What i do like about this wheel is it feels comfortable to use, it looks good, the force feedback feels great, and on games where you cam calibrate the pedals, it works decently. However its lack of support on the consoles make this a wheel aimed primarily at the pc market with marginal xbox compatibility at best.

The G920, however, does shine on Project Cars 2. It was compatible with it right out of the box, which wasnt something any other game could pull off. All i had to do was recalibrate the pedals to compensate for the poorly designed brake pedal, which took all of 5 seconds to do.

If you have this wheel or are getting this wheel, itll work best with PCars. It wont really work very well at all on any other game aside from forza. The settings do have to be meticulously adjusted for Forza however.

For me, the lack of compatibility and support for console makes this wheel severely overpriced for what i got since i can only race comfortably on one game and the game i bought it for isnt even compatible with it.

A major step back from the G29.

So I was learning to drive when I bought this and thought that surely I’d be able to get a true-to-life experience from playing the first result driving simulator game on google. Well I was wrong about that bit but it was still pretty fun to use.

All of the buttons do nothing in that game, the gear stick does nothing, but the pedals and the steering have some nice funky physics. Basically imagine doing 120 on a road that looks like a german autobahn except the npcs are all on the left and you’re holding both the brake and accelerator to the floor.

i think that game pretty much takes the brake as a gentle suggestion, sort of like an anti-accelerator (important to note – this is not how it works in an actual car and from personal experience I would not suggest trying this for yourself to confirm).

Anyway the wheel is mostly recognised by windows when you plug it in and if you expect any more than that from a usb 2. 0 peripheral you’re being unreasonable. Four stars.

I’ve happily used the DFGT on PC for 9 years. My only complaint is the inbuilt sequential gearstick which feels tacky and has been so pointless that I’ve never used it over the gear buttons built into the back of the wheel.

Even with the useless gearstick (which is easy to ignore), it’s still a great and cheap product. You don’t need the underside of your desk to be flat; as the clamp is short, and the pedal resistance is soft enough to stay put without needing to be screwed into a rig.

The force feedback is great, I’ve always been able to feel the car, and it has enough power for me that I keep it under the strongest setting. One of the best features of the wheel is how comfortable it is, far more comfortable than the more expensive G29.

There’s a wealth of buttons, and they’re all placed as if a lot of forethought went into the design. More expensive wheels might be heavier, have snappier feedback, harder pedals, and require more space for mounting.

The DFGT doesn’t fall short of more expensive wheels, it’s just different, as the lower weight, smooth feedback, easy pedals, and ease of mounting are qualities I appreciate. That, and coupled with the fact that it’s survived all those years makes it a 5/5 for me.

The good: *Force feedback is strong (this feature can be adjusted through wheel settings to taylor your gaming experience), this means that you can feel wet roads, gravel, potholes, etc. *Lots of programmable buttons, so you can use the wheel without going back to the keyboard while you are in-game.

*Steering wheel is gear driven, and not a belt. This increases longevity and ensures consistent accuracy. * 900 deg. of rotation for a more realistic feel. The bad: * Pedals feel very cheap, and delicate * No H shifter, and no flap paddles, just 2 buttons in the back and a sequential stick shift.

* *Offcentering of the steering wheel** after using it in game for a while. Only gets fixed by unpluging USB and pluging it back for self calibration. Can be pretty annoying, unless you do not mind pausing the game every 10 mins to recalibrate wheel.

Conclusion: In my opinion this wheel is nice if you get it for a nice deal or a factory refurbished with warranty. Not worth paying more than US$120 for it.

The wheel and pedals are dope. The alcantara is lush, the FFB smooth and torquey, the pedals entry but about as good as the G923s (maybe a bit better?) and it’s an absolutely SICK way to get into sim racing.

But I’ve done so much research on so many wheels including this one before making the purchase that I’m not exactly surprised by these things. What I’m pleasantly surprised by is how dope this retailer is.

I was admittedly nervous about the not-a-small-amount-of-money I’d just dropped after seeing some of the past reviews and nothing new since March of this year; but I took a leap of faith and hopefully this more recent positive review helps ease any anxiety you might have about ordering from this storefront.

I received precisely what I ordered and it was indeed brand new and sealed in the box. I clicked ‘Submit Payment’ late Friday night not expecting it to ship until Monday and arrive beginning of next week or the end of this week best case.

I was aware of their business model and how agile their shipping can be because of it. I certainly wasn’t expecting it to ship Monday and arrive on Tuesday however! Out of one of their warehouses in Jonestown, PA and dropped off in perfect shape by FedEx on the front porch.

YMMV, but I trust these guys and I’d order from them again🤙🏾🤙🏾.

Pros: Oozing with quality! I have tried the Logitech G920 and G29 wheels and have to say that this stands head and shoulders above them! I understand this is double the price but it’s worth every penny! Force feedback through a belt driven system is unmatched when comparing to the gear driven solution from Logitec.

This just feels secure and right! Although I wish I had more labelled buttons as it can be a little confusing when navigating using the wheel however this is a small price to pay for the replica Ferrari wheel that you get.

Cons: I have one minor issue with the product itself. The alcantara is great, fit with the fresh smell and amazing feel however I noticed the stitching to be a little loose at the top inside of the wheel where it ends.

Instead of replacing it I used a tweezer and tucked it in to itself as well as I could and it’s holding up fine.

I’ve owned this set for three months, I upgraded to this from a G27 w/GTEYE spring. Wheel FFB is much more detailed and smoother, particularly around the center. There’s handily a few more available buttons on the wheel and a nice dial switch, but the paddles don’t seem to have quite as positive an engagement as on the G27.

The wheel diameter is slightly larger than the G27, good for GT cars but a little on the large side for open wheelers. The alcantara fabric feels expensive and supple on the hands, although it began to get a little gummy after a couple of weeks due to sweat – I’ve picked up a set of karting gloves to keep it clean during use.

Only downside is the T3PA pedals that are included – the springs are very weak compared to the G27, there’s no grabbing mechanism for installation on carpets and the construction quality feels lightweight and inferior overall.

The included conical rubber brake mod feels like a stop-gap for a poor design and I couldn’t get a comfortable feel in the pedal no matter how I set it up. I’ve gone back to using the G27 pedals with an adapter.

Since the pedals were essentially a ‘free’ bonus (at the time of purchase it was the same price for this set as a base servo & alcantara wheel bought individually), it doesn’t bother me much but I’d be less than impressed if I’d bought them standalone.

T300 Base & wheel – recommended. T3PA Pedals – eh.

This wheel comes with all the features you would need for PC and PS2 and 3 racing, including 900 degree rotation, realistic force feedback rubber wrapped wheel and plentiful buttons for every possible car function.

Like most older Logitech wheels, it is incompatible with PS4 or newer systems, so look at newer models if interested in these systems. There are work-arounds but they probably aren’t worth it, unless you’re already invested in the old hardware.

I have also owned a Driving Force Pro and this wheel is very similar but I believe the GT model uses a larger motor, a larger diameter wheel and the button configuration is different, with the red dial and back-lit center button.

The dial seems to have limited functionality in PC sims; each click left and right counts as a button press. Everything else seemed to work as expected. As for software, the wingman app is OK and lets you tap into more advanced settings like 900 degree rotation, but these settings don’t activate until you open the app window after you first start windows.

Amazing wheel – First venture into driving sim, and indeed this is my first wheel. So not a lot to compare to, other than a friends Logitech G29 – which is way below the quality of this wheel from my limited experience.

This one is fantastic on PS4, PS5 and PC so far, with easy setup and switching between the consoles etc. The force feedback is amazing, super powerful and I’ve not yet taken it above 50% – Have used it on Gran Turismo 7 – works flawlessly as it does with Forza, Grid Legends and Need for Speed too.

What can I say. I love it and it will forever change driving games for me now. They just feel so much better with this wheel. Scan, as always, super super rapid on dispatch and delivery, quality smooth transaction – Always a pleasure to buy from.

This wheel is a huge upgrade over my 10 year old Logitech DFGT. Anyone considering upgrading from gear driven to belt, I can say first hand you wish you did it sooner. This combined with the TH8A shifter makes for an incredibly immersive experience.

The build quality of the wheel is solid, it feels nice to hold and use, and has plenty of functions. My only con is the “quick release” system isn’t very quick, but a very nice feature nonetheless. As for scan, they have been brilliant yet again.

Order was picked within an hour and dispatched the same day to DPD and arrived the next day. Scan gave updates at every step of the way. TL;DR excellent product, excellent service.

Pros: Well designed and well build product, has lots of functionality with good setup option. Drive and feedback is the best I’ve experienced, which gives that extra feel when racing. Cons: Buttons is my only issue.

!! I got the add-on Farrari f1 wheel, which looks amazing and the part. issue, the Buttons are labelled up for racing as you would see on the car. But when using the game settings it says use no:4 ? there are no numbers on the wheel or Buttons and to top it off, their not in number order ? so now, everyone has to send time working out what does what and with 20+ Buttons that’s a lot to get used too.
