I have catails in my pond and wanted to try this weed razor out. It works fine in sparse catail growth but not in the dense areas. I tossed it over the catails where they were heavy and it got stuck.
I couldn’t pull the rope in to retrieve the weed razor. I was nearly about to go in after it but thought I would get my tractor out to help pull it out. Needless to say the rope parted at the handle.
I was lucky to find it after treaded inside the catails to get it out. I was disappointed at that point. I made sure it was sharpened and somehow it didn’t want to cut through the heavier catails. I might consider using a wire cable through the handle next time around and using my tractor again.

I seen my neighbor out on a homemade flotation device with a yard rake trying to remove the weeds that way. I said there’s got to be an easier way to do it than that and then I went to researching and found the weed rake everyone around me watch this I remove the weeds quicker and with ease.
So you won’t catch me out on any homemade flotation device with my yard rake trying to remove weeds you’ll see me standing in my lawn throwing the weed Razer and accomplishing what my poor neighbor was unable to do.

And thank you for me not having to stand on some homemade flotation device with a yard rake. So this is one customer that will pass on my knowledge of a tool called the Weed Rake.
I live on a lake with a lot of grass and lilypads along the lake making it difficult to put in a boat or fish off the bank. I wanted a non-chemical method of getting rid of this. I saw this on other online stores at a higher price but went with this.
Easy to assemble and use. It isn’t for the weakling though! I cleared a 30 yard area along the bank in about 3 days. Simply toss out into the water (make sure to tie it off to your wrist or you will be wading out to get it!), then with short tugs, pull it back to you with a jerk or snatching motion.
The weeds are cut off from the bottom and float to the top. You will want to get a Weed Rake as well (for about the same price) OR do as I did and pick up a landscape rake, zip tie a foam pipe insulator to it and add a floating rope (about 25 meters).

I used this for a couple of days to pull out English ivy, honeysuckle, and oriental bittersweet vines. It works very well–it is sturdy and the teeth grip the vines without breaking them off. My only complaint is that it is hard to find when dropped in the weeds.
This tool is not practical for pulling weeds. Specifically, you go to pull the weed and the tool can’t open back up on it’s on. There’s also no tension on the tool to hold properly in your hand. It was easier to just pull the weeds manually.

A few notes when using it: 1. The further under water the razer drops the better. My pond was so overgrown I was dragging it on the surface and that made it more time consuming. 2. It is hard work and will need some muscle if you have a lot of vegetation to cut through.
3. I found the razer to be more effective when it landed in the water upside down so the prongs pointed upwards.

i like the replacement blades. i had diffuculty getting the twine to extend after bumping on the ground. ibspent more time trying to get the twine to work correctly. after we finally changed the head of the trimmer, the blades were a lot easier to install and use just pop out the old blade and pop in a new one.
Ideal for thick grass and light brush. Lasts better than string and much stronger. Gotta be careful not to let the head get pulled in to thick grass too fast and choke out the engine on small trimmers, but is a beast on the larger engines.
Really prefer a metal leading edge to last longer, but these do fine as long as you keep them away from cement, rocks, etc. They go right through grass, weeds, etc. Don’t expect them to last long against pavement or sides of buildings, etc.
Old blades tend to leave loose matter at the pivot point. Are you listening, Weed Warrior? I’d suggest reinforcing the pivot point to not leave loose material in the hub (my fellow eBayers may want to consider adding thin bushings.

I’ve used Weed Beater Ultra for several years and it is a great broad leaf weed killer. Unfortunately I live upwind from blowing weed seeds. I get dandelions, spurge and oxalyllis all the time. Quick treatment with Weed Beater Ultra and all is good.

This supposedly non herbicide seems to work ok to stop the spread of the voracious creeping Charlie in my lawn. I was stymied by the spray nozzle but finally figured out you need to pull the plastic hose out of the nozzle for it to work.

I was provided a bottle of the Spectracide Weed and Grass killer concentrate to try and provide my thoughts. I have a lot of creeping charlie that has taken over my backyard. Literally it exploded from a 1/4 of my back yard to almost the entire yard this summer, from 1 week to the next.
We have had a drought for a while and then had a lot of rain. By the time we were able to get into the backyard, the creeping had crept up and killed almost any and all grass and made it either creeping charlie heave or bare dirt spaces with creeping charlie nearby.
I felt this would be a perfect opportunity to try and provide my thoughts. I cannot attest to grass, and I didn’t have grass yet to kill. But, we put this into the sprayer, did what we needed to make this sprayable and went to town.
Spraying the areas, away from the dog potty zone and waited. It was a nice sunny day, low to mid 80’s and no rain in sight. Waited. Later that day, I felt like it looked like a lot of the charlie had died.
But, thought it might be my imagination. Waited next couple of days, watching. Noticing more and more browning and death to the creeping charlie. Mind you, I had one application at this point, and find that the first past, killed quite a bit of the charlie.
I feel with another couple of passes of the Specracide, I might win this season’s war of the creeping charlie. I liked this, fairly easy to use, appeared to start killing pretty quickly. I would be happy to try more to see I this turf war can be won by us and not the creeping charlie.
I fight a constant battle with my driveway. It’s a nice long stone driveway — however grass always seems to want to grow in it. I buy quite a bit of weed killer to spray in the driveway to keep the grass under control and it gets expensive and the premixed sprayers are not very efficient.
This Weed and Grass Killer Concentrate has helped on numerous fronts. 1) I was able to buy it online. Since it’s concentrate, the container isn’t very large (which is good!). It was shipped in a reasonably small box and was wrapped in a sealed bag inside.
This is convenient, since I didn’t really know what to expect with shipping something like this. 2) It has clear instructions, measuring cap and is easy to use. I got this to mix myself in a larger sprayer — worked like a charm.
3) It’s more cost effective than some of the other pre-mixed + sprayer container options I was trying. Once I filled up the sprayer with the weed and grass killer, I went out and sprayed my lawn more effectively than past use with the other sprayers, finished in less than 1/2 the time and then waited.
I saw clear results of dying grass within a day. Do I recommend? Yes — if you want a grass killer concentrate, then give this one a try.
I am that person who is kind of obsessive about my yard. Weeds, in particular, are my nemesis. My neighbors often seeing me patrolling my beds in a orderly sequence looking for and pulling weeds. Alas, mere weed pulling won’t rid your beds of those pesky weeds.
I have found Spectracide to be a worthy soldier in eliminating weeds from my beds and driveway. What is particularly nice about this concentrate is the measuring system. All the guess work is taken out.
You simply measure into the cap, add to sprayer, and fill with the right amount of water. In my opinion concentrate is the way to go. I spray often because new weeds are always popping up so I use a lot of product.
A concentrate is much more economical than a premixed formula. I use one sprayer for Spectracide Weed and Grass Concentrate and another sprayer for grass friendly weed killer. I have yet to find a weed that this herbicide can’t handle.
Another plus is it is rain proof in 15 minutes and weeds are visibly dying within 3 hours. This is my go to weed killer because it never lets me down.

I purchased this to kill the weeds on my acre-plus property in south Florida. We’ve used the regular Roundup previously, which worked fairly well. I thought I’d try this for longer lasting control. After spending hours spraying all the weeds with two gallons, there were no visible results, even after two weeks! There was no rain for at least a week, it was applied when it was 80 degrees and sunny, and I followed the directions.
I’m really disappointed that I wasted my time and money using this product.
The product seems to have worked well, but the pump sprayer integrated into the packaging is pretty much useless. I could never get the thing pumped up enough to actually spray well. I too heard a whistle as I tried to pump this up.
The pump itself sometimes pumped pressure into the package, and more times than not, the handle went up and down without pressurizing anything. I would buy a 1. 5 or 2gallon regular jug of this instead of this product because of the pump.

Great piece of equipment. Took minutes to put together. This thing sounds like a jet. I was considering one with the self igniter but read too many problem reviews and this is so easy to light. Couple things: 1) don’t forget that the fitting into the propane tank, at least the 20lb one, is reverse thread.
In this case, lefty tighty, right loosey. 2) intructions say to crack your tank open 1/8 to 1/4 turn to avoid too much propane coming out. I have a full tank and literally had to just crack it a smidge and the torch was roaring.
I straped it to a 2 wheeled dolly and was blasting away. Simple. Straightforward.
I would recommend this tool for what I used it for, burning weeds. You cannot see the flame so you will burn something you do not want if you are not careful. The instructions are very vague as to how to connect to the propane tank.
The connector you put on the hose goes inside of the connection on the tank. My neighbor came over and stated that his tank did not have the same connection on the tank so, in this case, you may have to find an in between connector.
I used Teflon tape when putting the fittings on the hose and handle of the torch. When the instructions stated only open the gas tank a quarter turn it is enough. You have to learn how much to open the valve on the torch so that you can light the torch and keep it going.
Each year we have had a lot of weeds growing our pavers. We’ve tried pulling– getting scraped knuckles; round up, which works but I don’t like the chemicals on the dog or our feet. So we tried the flame burner.
It takes about as long as it does to put down the round up, is easier to control than the round up( we frequently had a bit of overspray), and it’s easier to use– no pumping for pressure. The weeds wilt and dies while burning so it’s easy to see what’s been done and still needs to be burned.

This works pretty well, and isn’t scary to put on food crops. It’s a natural product made of corn and while it doesn’t prevent Weeds perfectly, it definitely makes an important difference and reduces the number and size of weeds, and seriously reduces the maintenance workload in my veggie garden.

I applied as directed on newly seeded area and watered it deeply. This large area in the back had been cleared in February after all grass and weeds were deeply dug out, I even sprayed the area prior to planting, wanting no weeds.
Seed sprouted, grew slowly because it got hot earlier than normal, but it is still green and growing. There was only one short strip where any weeds showed, and I used a safe weed killer on them. It’s been several weeks and there are weeds in every spot, even a small area that was seeded in October and was already thick with grass.
We dug the area WITH A SHOVEL and are both over 75 years old. So very disappointed. I will have to dig out the weeds by hand as much as I can, and then spray lawn weed killer where necessary.
