10 Best Way To Clean Stinky Skechers (2023 Updated)

I originally got this in desperation because my 1. 5 year old decided to take his bottle and turn it upside down and proceeded to drip half his bottle of milk on the seat and floor of my car. By time I noticed the damage was done.

As soon as we got home I scrubbed it with soap and water, but it was too late. It was summer and after the summer heat, the milk that I couldn’t get out spoiled. MY CAR SMELLED DISGUSTING!! I would keep the windows rolled down while I drove.

I then made the mistake of using Febreeze, so then it smelled like spoiled milk and Febreeze. gag! I took it to a detail shop and paid someone $50 to steam clean and use their odor remover from my carpet and back seat.

However after a couple of days the smell returned. My mom suggested I get this product, with nothing to lose, I bought it and sprayed it all over my car, rolled down the windows and let it dry, the smell was gone and has never come back! I then started using it all over the house, where the dog was regularly, in my back and front stairwell, where the air would get stagnant smelling.

I just bought another bottle because now my son is 2 and he had a major blow out in his diaper, it leaked all over our area rug where he was sitting. The smell was horrendous because I didn’t realize it had gotten on the rug until the next day and our living room smelled horrible.

I flipped the rug over and saw a big wet spot. once again I cleaned it with soap and water, then I tried baking soda and vinegar. I tried everything and the smell was still there! The area rug was expensive so throwing it away and getting a replacement would be a waste of money and expensive.

So once again I bought this product, sprayed the back and top of the rug and almost instantly the smell disappeared!!! I use the mountain fresh scent, I like it because it’s such a light scent and it just smells fresh, not chemically.

I haven’t used any other scent, but I’m quite surprised at the people giving this a 1 Star review because they don’t like that they carry scented versions. There is an unscented version of you don’t want a scent, however I’ve used the scented version with no problems.

This product is a lifesaver and absolutely works! I love that it destroys the odor and doesn’t just mask it!.

I bought a pair of these 6 years ago. i work 12 hour shifts 5 days a week. When Im off, I still wear them everywhere I go. They are still in good shape and will probably last a couple more years. Im worried they are going to quit making them so Im ordering another pair to be on the safe side.

Im 50 years old and have never had a better more reliable work shoe than these. Love them.

My husband bought these shoes for his stocking job at Walmart. In his job he lifts (and very rarely drops) very heavy boxes on his feet. Thank goodness for the steel toes! They are also cool enough and light enough that he can move quickly on his feet.

He says they are extremely comfortable and get him through his 10-hour shift of moving very big, very heavy boxes around. All in all, a GREAT work shoe!.

Great boot/shoe for food service. In and out of restaurants and convince stores all day. In and out of trailer up and down ramp. No slips durable and comfortable break in time was about 2 days. Steal toe water slip resistant.

Bought to pairs because the first pair fit so well. I use to buy red wings exclusively but skechers feel and last just as long at half the price I’m happy and impressed THANK YOU.

I got this in preparation for a marathon and so far it’s been a very nice addition to my kit. It’s snug and clings to the body well, and has plenty of pockets both outside, around the chest, and inside the main compartment.

It also has a private small pouch which isn’t advertised. But I would recommend it, it feel sturdy and built to last, my only complaint is the water tub, it feels a bit to long and looks a tiny bit awkward when it’s clipped in.

Works well with camelbak reservoirs. You can use the tube and bag brushes for reservoirs of any brand, but the angled bag brush works great when used with camelbak reservoirs as the angle fits perfectly with the round opening of the bag.

The hang dryer works best with reservoirs like camelbak with the round opening. Does not work well with top opening bags such as osprey.

I need to preface this review by saying I bought it to clean a hydration system that isn’t Camelbak branded. I left my old Camelbak branded cleaning kit back in Melbourne. didn’t occur to me to bring it along with me when we relocated to rural Australia.

I held off buying a new cleaning kit, thinking I could last a year without cleaning the drinking tube (I know. don’t judge me!) well, owing to the nature of the water we get in this part of Australia, as well as my general grubbiness, the hose started looking dirty.

I tried the usual bicarb soda + vinegar, as well as lemon juice treatment, but I still needed a brush to remove whatever that was stuck on the tubing itself. Snowys’ low price was easy to enough to convince me to get my act together to clean the hydration system.

my only gripe is that the flexible tube brush isn’t long enough to bridge the entire length of the drinking tube. my previous kit that I bought years ago had a flexible tube brush that was longer than the drinking tube, which made it easy to pull through and clean the length of the brush.

this current variant only spans about 4/5th of the length of the drinking tube, so it means I have to pull through and insert it in the other end of the tube to repeat. what the picture also fails to show is that the flexible tube brush has a ring at one end, to help you pull the brush through the drinking tube, as opposed to the the older version, which doesn’t give you a handle to pull the brush through.

Great value for the money. Our top load washer had a stagnant water smell when a load of laundry was first started and I assumed there was water pooling in the drain hose. We used two Plinks in the first ‘cleaning’ load and it made a huge difference! Since it had been smelling for a while I did a load of laundry and then did another two tablet Plink cleaning load.

The smell is gone! I’m going to do a Plink cleaning every two weeks to prevent the odors from coming back. For the cost of this clothes Washer and Dishwasher product it’s a great value and so easy to do! I followed the exact directions.

The product has a very nice scent. Pouring disinfectant on the bottom of the dishwasher does the same thing for a lot less money. If your dishwasher needs these tablets, clean the drain. All we needed was a screwdriver.

Thought this would prevent that job, but had to do it the right way after all. Save your money.

I love this product and it’s really nice cause as a pet owner sometimes things get messy and the washing machine can get a little funky but this stuff really helps. Only warning is they cost WAY more online than in person so if you can buy them in the store for 25 percent of the online price I’d do that.

FYI – My husband had an anaphylactic response to this. He walked into house and he immediately started having itching burning throat and within a brief time his throat started closing and he couldn’t breathe.

After going outside symptoms began easing enough that he could breathe but throat pain continued. I changed to scent free cartridge version (which actually has a chemical scent but not the harsh perfume scent of this) but it took a couple days before this scent was dissipated enough he could come back into house without his throat burning.

My kids and I did not have any response to it, but I will say it is very strong smelling so be aware before purchasing. Cat genie will also not accept returns on any products if they have been opened even if barely used.

Also no additional info on ingredients will be given when I asked so I could avoid what might have caused this reaction.

I have used both the scent free and the fresh scent cartridges. both work well and keeps the liter clean and stink free. I really love my genies, I have 2, and highly recommend them. The only drawback is the supplies are not available at pet supply stores near me.

And Amazon is a waste of time, Check the delivery dates, you are best served buying direct. I ran into some issues with the web site so I called. They called me back promptly and took care of it over the phone in less than 5 minutes.

Very courteous and professional. The order went out today and I should have it in a couple of days. No reason to use Amazon or eBay to get supplies. I am a satisfied customer.

I’ve been using this product for years. I started buying it for high-snoot bicycle clothing from which I just couldn’t get that sweat odor out. Then, since I wear compression socks that are extremely expensive, and being that I have very sensitive skin that cannot tolerate detergents, I wash my socks in a mild vegetable-based laundry soap.

That, too, wasn’t getting the odor out. So, I began to add a little of this Basewash to wash my socks, too. It worked, and it doesn’t cause skin irritation like another similar product from a different brand.

I like NIkwax so much, I have a cardboard box full of their products in my laundry for just about everything I wear outdoors, such as Gore Tex jackets, even my shoes. Good stuff.

It magically takes the stink out of stinky Keens and makes summer so much more fragrant! I only wish I would have discovered it earlier.

I have purchased quite a few different Nikwax products over the years and have been happy with them all. Once I started buying more synthetic hiking shirts I knew I would need a reliable product for keeping them clean and de-funkified; this is the one! Basewash works well and smells fresh.

I use it with Arc’teryx synthetics and even my non merino wool Darn Toughs. I couldn’t be happier (unless Nikwax happens to send me lots of free stuff for this review! :p).

So, here is my review after wearing these for one week to various places – work, hangouts, dates, walking around the city, and even exploring a barn. They are definitely versatile! They go with pretty much any outfit for any occasion, which gives them quite a high value, especially since I got them for just $45.

While that might be high for Skechers, I think it’s an excellent deal compared to any other similar shoe from another brand. However, there are some issues with these shoes. First is that, although they are slip-ons, I needed to pull the laces out a little to keep my heel from slipping too much, as it was bothering me.

I got a size 6. 5, which is the size I usually wear. I also tried a size 6, which was WAY too small and tight, and size 7 was too loose. Well, pulling the laces was a huge mistake. The laces seemed to continue coming out more and more after every wear until they were dragging along the ground and it looked very sloppy, and nothing I tried made them return to their original state.

So, I had to tie the short, but dragging laces into some weird little knot and now need to wear the shoes like that, which doesn’t look awful per se, but still takes away from the sleekness of the shoes.

I’m debating getting replacement laces like many others have and just tying them normally, although that would also detract from the style of these shoes imo. Another issue is that these shoes are not very soft or stretchy, despite being slip-ons.

The tongue is VERY stiff and cuts into the front of my shin, and the heel is also a little stiff, even with liner socks. The sole cushion is a nice touch, and my feet don’t really hurt after a long day of walking, but the shoes definitely don’t absorb shock well and I still feel like I can feel the ground pretty well.

Finally, the toe creases a LOT – if you are doing any sort of crouching, you will see a noticeable crease in the shoe after just a few crouches. So, maybe I’m just too picky, and maybe I shouldn’t have pulled the laces, but overall, these shoes are a solid 3/5.

I will still wear them as much as I can to get my money’s worth, but probably won’t buy these again. Given the laces situation and my other reviews, I think Skechers needs to look into their sizing for these shoes and fix some things.

I felt as cute as can be wearing these! I am over 60, heavy, and I have a wide foot, and so it’s not easy to find a warm weather shoe that is both stylish and supportive, but I am happy with these. I bought my first pair in white and I wore them on Easter for the first time, and I got a few complements–even from my judgmental mother! I did need to add a gel orthotic insert to give me some extra cushioning that these sneakers lack.

I love how they come already laced and nicely show off the rose gold grommets and logo stitching on the lip, and they are so easy to slip on. Because I bought white, I am going to try to keep these for special occasions where I won’t be doing much walking, because I can see these will get dirty looking quick.

For this reason, I think it will be wise to get another pair in another color that won’t show the dirt as much as the white. The camo ones are cute. These definitely aren’t a good walking shoe, say for an afternoon of chores and shopping.

They are more of a going-out-and-hanging-with-friends-at-the-bar type of shoe; if that makes sense. Thank you Skechers,.

Recent hip surgery has left me unable to reach my shoes. I tried loosening the laces and slipping into my running shoes but the tongue would bunch every time. I tried stitching the tongue, also poking holes in the tongue to anchor the laces.

I looked online for a solution and hours later I still had nothing. Every video and article assumed everyone can reach their shoes. My Skechers Bobs B Cute have found the solution and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Besides being “Cute” shoes there are two features I love and have not seen on any other shoe. The laces are elastic and look like regular laces. The ones found online don’t look at all like regular laces.

The tongue is anchored to the shoe inside with a wide elastic strip. It’s surprising that other shoe manufacturers haven’t come up with the tongue solution. I won’t be buying any other running shoe than Bobs B Cute.

We love and appreciate this disinfectant laundry product SO much! It’s safe for most fabrics and doesn’t bleach colors obviously. I don’t feel like our towels, washcloths or personal clothing items are truly “clean” or disinfected unless I use this.

I think it’s especially important to disinfect our laundry now, more than ever, due to the pandemic, covid-19, and flu season! Using this product in addition to my usual laundry routine also makes everything smell so fresh, obviously because it kills germs and bacteria that cause foul odors.

I’m never turning back now! I use Arm Hammer detergent and Arm Hammer scent booster (blue bottle of crystals) along with whatever liquid fabric softener I like the smell of at the time. this product works great with them and everything comes out of the dryer SO fresh and clean.

Also, if you don’t have a dryer or prefer to use a clothes line to dry your clothes, this will help kill bacteria that the heat from a dryer would normally assist with. so, you can disinfect your laundry and know it’s truly clean and safe, even if you air dry the items! This was a brilliant idea from Clorox! I highly recommend 100%.

I have hidradentitis suppurativa, so I have issues with the armpits of my shirts smelling if I’m currently having an outbreak. Also, ever since I was diagnosed with this, even if I don’t have an outbreak, the armpit area of my shirts smells musty, even after washing.

I’ve tried everything and nothing has worked, but I recently purchased this product, and it got rid of the musty smell. I have very sensitive skin, and I have no issues with this product. I now use a little of it in every load of laundry that has any of my shirts, and I’ve also used it on my towels.

Everything smells amazing. I hope Clorox continues to make this product as I am now a lifelong customer.

Ok, sooo I’ve totally been surprised by this laundry sanitizer! I’ve been wanting something like this for the longest time as I share a public (apt building laundry room) and even before the pandemic I was often cleaning and sanitizing the washers before I used them which cause more work for me is down right tiresome! So upon getting this I wasn’t sure if I’d notice anything different- you are supposed to put in while during rinse cycle which is typically can go into the fabric softener compartment! I used it specifically for lights/whites to see if I’d see any difference! Granted I used some bleach as well for my whites but yes I can say my duvet cover was nice and clean/bright coming out of the washer! The Clorox sanitizer almost acts like a bleach for your clothes just not exactly that! I really like it definitely will add this as a regular wash day cleaner! I’m very excited about using this going forward – so worth the money (only about $5-6) and can be found at most grocery retailers! I highly recommend especially for the overall change you see in regards to brighten colors of your clothes!.

When I first found this product I was absolutely obsessed with it. I only use this once a week since it the clean linen scent is definitely strong and I vacuum the carpets 2-3 times a week. A lot comes out of the spout on top so a good sprinkle all over the carpet is honestly all you need.

Being in NY it tends to get extremely muggy and I have noticed more recently that if I vacuum with the carpet cleaner my carpet feels a bit sticky. Almost as though the carpet cleaner and humidity formed some odd bond.

However, that’s only if I vacuum mid day when the humidity is at an all time high and in the summer of course. Aside from that I still use it and its been years since I have been so I would most definitely recommend if you’re on the hunt for something inexpensive and gets the job done.

This carpet powder definitely gets rid of odors and smells very fresh. The scent fills my whole apartment and lasts for a few days. However, for some reason this stuff doesn’t want to come off my carpet.

I have a good quality strong suction vacuum but I still have to sweep this stuff up before I go over it. It also can clog my vacuum if I don’t dump it out straight away. That being said, I do like this product it‘s just a little bit of a chore when using it.

If you’re trying to COVER odors, this won’t work. But it will mask them temporarily. I like to use this as a freshener before I vacuum a few times a week. It is a little hard to get out of the carpet if you use too much, so I suggest using a small amount.

A little goes a long way. This is very very scented and will have the whole house smelling fresh in minutes. I love the smell of this scent. It makes me think of a spring morning. The scent is definitely lasting.
