Water shoes are a type of footwear specifically designed for use in water. They are typically made from quick-drying materials such as neoprene or mesh, and often have a drainage system in the form of holes or ports in the sole to allow water to escape.
Water shoes are often used for activities such as swimming, surfing, kayaking, and canoeing, but can also be worn for walking or running on the beach or in other wet environments.
While water shoes are not necessarily required for all water-based activities, they can provide a number of benefits. For example, they can help to protect the feet from rocks, shells, and other sharp objects that may be present in the water.
They can also help to keep the feet warm in colder water temperatures. In addition, water shoes can help to improve traction on slippery surfaces, which can be especially beneficial when swimming in the ocean or in other natural bodies of water.
While there are many different brands and styles of water shoes available on the market, it is important to choose a pair that fits well and provides the desired level of support and protection. For people with wide feet, it is often necessary to purchase water shoes in a size that is larger than what they would normally wear in order to ensure a comfortable and secure fit.

Merrell Bare Steps H2O Sneaker Size: 9W, Grey/Black/Royal
Merrell’s BARE STEPS H2O is the superhero of water shoes — innovative design featuring an extra wide toe box, flexible, barefoot feel, alternative closure for easy on/off, superior durability and traction, AND eco-friendly.
These are quality made shoes, and the velcro closure is very strong, too. I got this for my 13 month old for outdoor water play, but the shoe is not rounded enough to make it easy for her walk. She’s still learning to lift her foot as she walks.
I think she’ll be able to have an easier time in these shoes once she’s walking more independently. I got a 4. 5, which is her current size in the stride rite soft motion walking shoes, but this merrell seems a tad bigger.
I called 3 hours after placing my order because I realized I ordered the wrong size. They were unable to help me and said it was “too late” to modify my order even though the order didn’t ship for say another 5 days.
Then they said my order would arrive Thursday. My order did not arrive Thursday. The shoe is way bigger than anticipated. I ordered a 6 in a different shoe and this 5. 5 size is way bigger than the 6 in the other shoe.
It took me over 10 days to receive the shoes so there is no point in exchanging and waiting probably close to a month to eventually receive the new pair. Overall a disappointing experience for a company I heard good things about.
The colors are fantastically vibrant. The shoes go on easily; my almost 2-year old can put them on and take them off on her own. These shoes replaced a pair that rubbed my daughter’s foot raw. There have been no such issues with these shoes.
They fit quite a bit larger than I expected but ended up fine nonetheless; not sure if it’s because they are “boys” shoes or not.
Merrell’s Bare Steps H2O Chroma is the superhero of water shoes — innovative design featuring an extra wide toe box, flexible, barefoot feel, alternative closure for easy on/off, superior durability and traction.
It also features a water friendly upper that changes colors when wet, then switches right back to where things started once dry. Bring on summer!.
Use the measurement guide and order the exact size your child’s foot lines up with. Do not add 1/4″ to 1/2″ to allow for growth as these are definitely made large. We ended up making that mistake based on previous orders and ended up with shoes that are 1.
25″ too long but we’re keeping them for next season as they are exactly what we wanted.
I loved these shoes. My toddler is confortable in them and loves them. However, they got wet once and the color changing never got fully back to white. Even a few days after when they were really dry you can still see the colors.
Prepare yourself for any water sport with the Realm Water Shoes from Body Glove. These men’s water shoes feature a sleek design in black for a sporty look you will love. Made with a strong EVA sole and durable fabric, you can rest easy knowing these athletic water shoes will hold up during any activity.
Whether you’re wading through the water, hiking through the woods or enjoying an afternoon on the lake, these closed-toe water shoes will keep your feet in great shape.
I bought these specifically for a whitewater rafting trip. Dick’s delivered them in plenty of time. The size was correct and the shoes are comfortable. They grip and don’t slip. They do not feel heavy or soggy when they get wet.
They dry in a reasonable amount of time. I am happy with my purchase.
I bought these about a month ago. I bought them specifically for working out. Weight lifting, cardio work. They have just enough of a rubber sole for comfort and traction and they are super lightweight.
I ABSLOUTELY LOVE THEM. EVEN THOUGH I USE THEM IN AN UNINTENDED WAY.
Nice fit, using them as part of my cycling gear Works perfectly. A nice inexpensive alternative to the over-priced shoes offered specifically for riders
The V-Aqua is our Game Changing, Flagship Product for 2018! This Amphibious Tool allows for natural movement in and out of water while moving across a variety of terrain. A light, thin and flexible tool for the feet, the V-Aqua is best for those situations when going fully barefoot just isn’t an option.
The snug fit and lightweight design, along with perforations in the very durable Megagrip Sole allow water to move quickly through the shoe for quick drying. An added distinctive, industry leading Silicone print within the lining prevents added internal slippage.
I’ve not had any opportunity to use them for the intended purpose of water sports yet. However, I’ve walked and ran in them for a few weeks now since they’re light weight and provide good grip on asphalt.
They seem durable enough for the task. I prefer to wear toe socks with them for added comfort, and I still get good ground feel through the soles. I have fairly normal feet, men’s size 9 (US), and I measured ~26.
5 cm from the back of my heel to the end of my big toe. The first Vibrams I bought years ago were size 42, which felt like a good snug fit in the store. However, wearing those for longer than an hour at a time would induce some pain in my big toes where the pockets put pressure on the end of them.
I ordered these in size 43. Barefoot, they are slightly loose. The rear adjustment strap seems limited by placement of the Velcro. I can make it tighter, but then the Velcro strap becomes less secure.
Wearing toe socks, I leave the rear strap in the default position, and the shoes are quite comfortable even after an hour of walking and running. Ideally, 42. 5 would be ‘perfect’ for me but Vibram doesn’t make half sizes.
Overall, I’m pleased with my purchase, especially having bought them on sale!.
First thing. Color. I am so happy I purchased the grey. I learned from the older kmd’s that unless the material was on the thicker side (like the v trek) you then feel the heat from sun. Amphibious design is so true.
That mega grip outsole truly made the difference for me for traction in wet conditions. Regardless of grass, mud, sand, asphalt or concrete. You’re glued to the earth like a magnet! The thickness is just right being under 6mm when combining the outsole and insole.
This is a perfect inbetween from the Kso evo (being 3mm) and the v run (being almost 8-8. 5mm) You get best of both worlds so to speak. You still get ground feel without feeling like you are completely barefoot and you get the comfort of a shoe without noticing you are wearing one.
I am going to be buying the v alpha next very soon because of my high like and love of the v aqua and its mega grip outsole. Here’s what is crazy about the v aqua. You don’t have take the shoe off to get them to dry.
They have drain holes! Like over 12 of em! And they actually work at draining the shoe of water. Its great. Seriously. Like just sit and watch your whole family as the go back to their tents and campers to change into dry shoes while your just sitting there like.
If they would only listen to me for 3 min about why I wear shoes shaped like feet then they too could have self drying lizard grip feet shoes of AWESOMEness. But I digress.
These are definitely my favorite summer shoes. Light, breathable, cool and stylish. I also own a pair of the Trek Ascent, but hardly wear them because they are a bit sweaty. The CVT-Hemp are a lot more breathable and don’t have that problem, look more stylish and are even more comfortable.
Sizewise they seem a bit on the small side. I went one size larger then my regular shoes, which turned out to be a perfect fit for me. Durability is reasonable, after one year of daily use during spring/summer, the color faded a bit and the sole wore out at the heel.
So i bought a new pair in the winter sale for this year.
These shoes feature the same non-slip Chevron outsole as Xtratuf’s original commercial grade fishing boots. They are extremely comfortable and feature a breathable quick dry airmesh upper perfect for drainage.
Whether you’re launching your kayak or sighting fish from your paddle board, the Riptides will keep you sure footed and adventure bound.
To say that I have ordered many water shoes is an understatement. Every year for spring break, I think this is the year I get a pair I don’t mind wearing – that work and look somewhat cute too. I just received these today (I ordered the men’s gray and orange even though I’m a girl because the colors are more neutral) and now my work is done! These look like Keds/Vans met a water shoe.
I ordered a men’s 9 and I am a women’s 10. Technically, a size 8. 5 is what translates to a women’s 10 so I’d say these run just a tiny bit small to fit a little loose. If I wanted these super tight, I would have ordered a half size down but I wanted them comfy enough to walk in as well.
I ordered from a different website but love them so much I thought I’d share my thoughts. So yeah, buy them.
I love the sure-footed rubber sole; the look and construction of the uppers; the elastic no-tie, adjustable laces; and the fact that I could easily slip off and use pull loop on heel to put back on, or wear as slip-ons, without harming the heel of the shoe.
Length and width were generous. However, I reluctantly and sadly returned them because I need built-in arch support and a bit more cushion in the sole.
I love on a river. I need something just like this, I sure hope they can hold up. Cuz they just look so cute! I tried finding slippery surfaces to test and wow these things do there job. I feel very confident exploring all kinds of surfaces and am going places I couldn’t before because I couldn’t get a sure footing.

These shoes are a very nice moderately priced option if you want water shoes that are sturdy enough to also use for hiking. I bought them for a kayak trip that involves a 2 mile hike to a waterfall on an upcoming vacation so I have not been in the water with them yet.
I did test them on a slippery wet floor and found them to be nice and sticky. Also went biking with them where they provided a nice grip on the petals. Not sure how well the elastic laces will hold up, would be nice if they provided a spare pair or sold replacements that match.
The shoes are well crafted, very comfortable and the sole will provide substantial protection.
I bought these shoes in July and I haven’t been wearing much of anything else but these shoes. They function as a spring/summer/fall tennis shoes that are not heavy, bulky or too hot. Great cushiony and no slip; great traction.
Great for walking, gym and just about anything. I haven’t really used them in the water, but would imagine they are great the intended purpose. I have knee problems and they have been super support for my knees.
Along with the functionality, the style is great and wear and tear is really good. They look as good as when I bought them. They are easy to slip on and off. I just love these shoes. I wish they had them in other colors.
If they still had my size (7M), I would purchase another pair. I have received a lot of compliments on them.
Great for comfort in rocky streams/creeks! Thick soles helped not feel rocks or sharp edges, suction cup shapes on bottom of shoe helped grip rocks, laces were a but big but I doubled them through and clipped again and size was right.
Size was perfect, I am a 10. 5-11, ordered the 11 and fit like an 11, not too big like other reviews. More than I needed to keep up with kids in streams, but loved the comfort it afforded and I felt spoiled.
The Hydro Sport is a hybrid water shoe designed with quick dry upper, webbing brace for midfoot support and drainage system in midsole and outsole, and an easy on-off design. Appropriate for all of her water fitness needs.
The upper is designed from synthetic and mesh fabrics, and a webbing midfoot cage provides medial and lateral support. There is a removable nitracel footbed and a compression molded EVA foam midsole with drainage ports.
The outsole provides drainage ports and sticky rubber for better traction on wet surfaces.
All I want to do is rave about this shoe. I bought this with concerns that it wouldn’t fit my wide foot. I am wide at the top (toe box area) but I sort of have a narrow heel. I bought the blue pair. This shoe is amazing.
I use it for water aerobics twice a week. It has a nice wide toe box, a good arch, the drawstring tie could come undone however I just tied the strings like a normal shoe on top of the drawstring and mine haven’t come undone at all.
I am absolutely impressed with how quickly they dry. The grip on the bottom is fantastic and you don’t have to worry about slipping on slippery floors. I plan on ordering another pair just to alternate between pairs when one is wet.
I am absolutely thrilled with this Ryka hydro sneaker.
I have severe pronation issues, and this shoe offers no support to protect my feet to do standing and jumping exercises in a pool. The materials and shoe laces are fine. I would need a water shoe that is built for stability, meaning there is actual material built up under the arch to support the arch to walk and move.
Currently, the Brooks Addiction design is what I wear plus a custom orthotic with anti pronation plates added on. In order to wear a water shoe without an orthotic I need the shoe to offer much more stability.
I appreciate being able to try and return easily. I did find they run a half size bigger than my Brooks, so I would need to wear my measured size 9 rather than the 9. 5 that I ordered. It would be awesome to see anew shoe design that would help me more.
These are very nice shoes. They are light weight and provide great support. I rated them a 4 (really 4 1/2) only because I don’t like the stitching of the tongue inside the shoe. It causes the tongue to roll up a bit, so you need to reach in and flatten it before slipping your foot in.
Also the laces are long and flop around. I’ve slipped mine inside the crisscrossed laces to keep them from flopping and getting stepped on. These are minor issue, so over all the shoes are great.
A breathable upper material is designed for a comfortable fit as you trek through wet areas, with outsoles featuring drainage holes to help keep the shoes from building up with water. The slip-on style with elastic bungee laces makes for easy on and off, and you can adjust the fit to your liking with the help of a toggle closure.
Within the shoe is a foam liner for cushioned comfort, but it can be removed to accommodate your fit preference. When families come together to discover the joy of staying active, All in Motion is there to make it easy and comfortable to embrace a bustling lifestyle.
Take on trails, water, and any surface in between with the World Wide Sportsman Ridgeway Water Shoes for Men. These fast draining water shoes have an open, airy design, combining breathable open mesh and synthetic materials.
Enjoy customized comfort courtesy of an adjustable heel counter and bungee lace system, giving you a water shoe that’s easy to pull off and on, even when wet. Perforated footbeds work with the shoe’s water drainage system in the midsole to evacuate water quickly after being submerged, as well as cushioning and supporting feet.
Rugged, all terrain rubber outsoles. Fast drying, performance water shoes Breathable and supportive synthetic and open mesh uppers Adjustable heel counter and bungee lace system for comfortable custom fit Perforated footbeds and midsole drainage system – fast water evacuation Rugged, all terrain rubber outsoles.
I’ve had the chance to wear these twice now. Fit seems to be good and they’re comfortable. The strap at the back makes it easy to put the shoes back on when your feet are wet. But a little more adjustability would be nice.
They air dry fairly quick. A couple improvements and they could have earned a 4 1/2 star rating. The issue, as with most water shoes, is sometimes small pebbles find their way in and can be annoying if not painful.
A thin piece of mesh at the “gap” area could solve that in my opinion.
I got a pair of these from my daughter for Christmas, and sadly they only lasted 1 1/2 years, and I wore them about 8 times and that’s it !! The strap that goes back to the heel broke on the right shoe with just normal walking.
For what they charge, I would have hoped these would have lasted longer than this !! Now I will have to buy a new pair of water shoes. But I will definitely switch to a different brand !!! Don’t consider these shoes, They don’t last long.
I bought these as a creek/river crossing shoe for backpacking over a year and a half ago. I have found that they are very comfortable and great fitting, so tend to wear them frequently- to the point of almost wearing them out (hundreds of miles in them, hiking walking, running, working in the yard, etc)! My only concern is that I have tried to order another pair to replace these, and have found that they are continually out of stock in my size (9 medium, mens).
I have gone online numerous times to reorder, but always the same. Are they out of production? If so, you had better order a pair in your size soon!.
Water adventures beckon you in the Hydro Splash Water sneaker from Ryka. This quick drying, high-impact shoe includes webbed overlays and padded heel strap for added support, while the built-in arch support and foam heel pad protect your foot from impact.
The drainage ports on the outsole help to keep your foot dry.
As soon as I saw these I fell in love with them. I never go in the water, but that’s OK, I like to look sporty and these are the most sporty shoes I now own. The deep sea blue and French blue just arrived, I am wearing them now.
Another big reason I ordered them, is because I’ve been making several pairs of shorts in different colors for the summer. At first I wasn’t sure which shoes to purchase, the deep blue and the French blue both look perfect with the shorts so bought those.
At the weekend when there was free shipping, I ordered the dove gray too. These are the most comfortable shoes I own. I have narrow feet, these in size 9 medium fit great. They are lightweight. I can imagine they would be ideal for anyone who wants to wear them in the water, there’s a gap on the side of each shoe.
In the video Jane explained that water could even come out though the bottom of the shoes.
I have used Ryka water shoes for aqua fitness classes for several years. I liked the previous design, but always struggled with keeping laces tied during class. These are greatly improved with the Velcro closure.
I usually wear a 7. 5 in athletic shoes, but the 7 fit fine in these. My foot is slightly wide and the regular width is comfortable for me. The color is pretty bold but fun. I feel like they will be fine for my aqua aerobics class.
The only problem…QVC sent a obviously used pair of shoes to me. The soles were quite soiled with mud and gravel in the treads. I called customer service and was promptly sent a return label. Hoping the exchange is quick and I can enjoy my new shoes.
These water shoes are true to size, comfortable and look good. I like that they Velcro instead of tie. They are a great upgrade from my last pair of water shoes, which were also Ryka’s That I purchased about 10 or more years ago.
I have arthritis in my feet, and all the cheaper water shoes don’t give me enough support or padding to help me, but I have always been able to wear Ryka’s because of the insoles. So far I am very pleased with these water shoes.
I recommend them to anyone who wants a comfortable, durable water shoe.
Design: Mesh and neoprene upper for breathability and comfort In-Shoe Comfort: EVA insole Durability & Traction: TPR outsole for stability and grip Color: Black. Gender: male. Age Group: adult.
First, let me say that we have purchased these SAME shoes before with no issues. I got these for my child, who was doing a “beach” summer camp. This first day, the soles came entirely out. Not even at the end of the day, but midway through.
I thought maybe the style had changed and the soles were SUPPOSED to come out, but when I started looking that didn’t appear to be the case (unless I’m entirely wrong). Again, I’ve purchased these before and didn’t have an issue, but this pair was a dud.
I hate giving a negative review, but hoping this will enable you to tweak the design a bit and use a better adhesive.
I bought this shoe a month ago as it lightly floods on the sidewalks, hoping to wear these to walk the dog. Though they fit, after walking around the corner, the insert starts to ball up within the shoe making it very uncomfortable to walk and not really usable.
I tried a few times with the same result. I figure maybe remove the insert, but underneath it is cratered and not comfortable to use for me. I am kind of disappointed but it was a shot as I purchased it online.
First time I have tried Dick’s water shoes. These are very comfortable and don’t slip around. Price is fabulous compared to other brands. Love the color and fit. Going to try their kids water shoes for the grandkids next.
These Unisex Slip-on Quick-Dry Water Shoes are a vacation and adventure must-have. Great for hikers, swimmers, and barefoot walkers, these shoes feature a moisture-resistant, quick-dry material. They easily stretch and slip on and off your foot.
I have a small yet wide foot for a man, so it is difficult for certain types of footwear, including water shoes, to fit well. The aqua socks, however, fit snugly on my foot.
It said they were a size 12 mens. I got a small woman’s 6 or 7 that I could not barely get even my toes into. I would return them if I knew how. Never again.
Made of neoprene, the same material as wet suits, as well as mesh for air flow, these water shoes cover the entire foot for protection in creekbeds or on hot sand. Hook-and-loop closing flap opens wide for easy on/off, and back loop offers a grip or a way to hang these versatile shoes up to dry.
I picked up a pair of these about a month ago. I was looking for a slip-on to wear at the beach, that would both protect my feet from the hot sand and could also be worn in the ocean. Well, they never made it to the beach-I started wearing them as summer slippers at home and that’s where they’re staying.
They are well made, lightweight and comfy and are easy to slip on and off. The Velcro strap makes it easy to adjust the width. They’re stretchy enough to wear with socks, but don’t lose their shape. The non-skid soles are also a plus.
And they have a mesh inset so your feet can breathe. True confession: I liked them so much I bought a second pair!.
My new doggy loves our walks and runs on the beach. I couldn’t bear running/walking barefoot and my running shoes couldn’t withstand the water (my puppy loves to take breaks in the water). This shoe with its rubber sole cushions the ground enough for our light runs and walks on the beach (I also wear them the two blocks from our house to the beach on the sidewalk/road).
But even better is that I can leave them on when we play in the water and then rinse them easily. They dry quickly so I don’t have to put on soggy shoes when we go out later that day.
I purchased these shoes as my “weekend shoes” for wearing around the house. They feel like you are barefooted or wearing socks! Yet, you don’t have to worry about getting your feet or socks dirty because they are shoes! I also love to use them for running errands! I get tired of wearing flip flops sometimes, and if it happens to be raining outside this shoe will stay on your foot and not cause you to slip and fall.
Then when you return home, you take them off briefly and in no time they will be dry again!.

Fast drying water shoes for fun on land or water Quick drying synthetic leather strap uppers with open design for air flow Fully lined with neoprene for comfort Quick release bungee lace system with cordlock Textured footbeds hold feet in place when wet and cushion Protective toe bumpers Non slipon marking rubber outsoles.
I am on the third pair of this exact style. Wore out the first pair after three years of daily use in Arizona and traveling. Wearing the second pair over the past year and they are going strong however the soles are worn.
The third pair is worn sparingly for “special occasions”. I tried on Keens, Tevas and others and found the arch was to high of not in the right place for me. It’s going to be hard to replace this model.
Picked these up for use out at the rivers. They are Perfect! I use to use regular water shoes. But my feet would always hurt from walking on the river rocks. These shoes I could tell the difference immediately.
The soles are thick and add plenty of cushion when walking over river rocks. The best part is the Toe protection bumper. It covers all the toes. The other water shoes I was looking at it didn’t offer the toe protection that this one did.
When the water isn’t clear and you can’t see what you’re walking on the toe protection really helps!.
I bought two pair of these at a good price on sale from Cabelas for my son and I to wear into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness this summer. I got them as water shoes for portaging, but liked them so much I never took them off! They have a good arch support, are very comfortable, even when wet, and never rubbed my feet sore.
My son had a pair of a different brand and they rubbed his feet when wet a little, then he switched to these for the rest of the trip. We went Lake One to Insula and back in the BWCA. I have been several times, and foot comfort in wet and dry, sandy and brushy conditions, is important.
I would HIGHLY recommend these as excellent for water shoes or everyday wear. I did not wear them with socks.
Using advanced construction techniques, this easy on / easy off shoe is more durable than others of its kind – for days spent in and around water. Lightweight IMEVA construction for weightless comfort and quick dry.
Easy slip-on style. Water friendly and easy to hose off. Soft EVA molded footbed for all day cushioning and comfort.
Purchased for yard/gardening. It took a minute or two to get over the idea that I was wearing marshmallows or that someone would think I was wearing the blue shoes that Deadpool made famous. These shoes are weightless and unbelievably comfortable and supportive.
Literally like walking on air. I am impressed with the arch support/footbed. They are easy/quick on and off and are the easiest to clean of all the watershoes I’ve ever encountered. I especially like the lack of fabric on these.
I am between sizes, opted for the half size down, and have plenty of room in both length and width. The heel cup fits well, but was too high for me and created blisters, even with the strap moved to the front.
A little KT Tape or moleskin (on me) before activities solves the issue, I have not yet tried to alter the shoe itself. Often mulch, dirt, rocks, etc. is able to pass through the holes making the occasional stop for removal neccesary – which is to be expected.
I don’t mind as the large holes allow for great airflow. Knowing these would be worn outdoors, I chose the Hi-Viz Chartreuse. They are easy to see from a distance. It would be GREAT if Merrell would make these in other Hi-Viz colors.
In spite of the blisters and limited color options, I will absolutely be getting several more of these.
Hi Everybody , My name is Ed and I am 68 years old. I am a young man trapped in an old guys body ! I dont want to get into the too much information category so I will not get into my foot ailments but to end it abruptly I have some arthritis.
The Hydro Mocs are the best ! This is the second years that I had been wearing them daily as they are truly the only shoes I wear during the year except a couple months in the winter as I live in NJ.
I count my blessings as I am still pretty active working 3 days a week by choice. I wear Hydro Mocs at work as I do a lot of walking , kinda maintenance groundskeeper. I had prescription inserts made for my shoes that quite frankly did little or nothing for my feet.
I wear my Hydro Mocs with my 100 % white cotton socks. I know what you young guys maybe thinking but I dont wear shorts so there are no old bony legs with socks and shoes ! LoL 2 Xs I am no way giving advice but these really work for me they are the best footwear for me and I might add I usually walk over 3 miles on a work day.
I just ordered some new pairs of kool colors to wear with my different clothes. They wear very well and last a long time as I am 6ft and weigh 205 lbs so they can take the wear. Old Guy Ed , NJ.
I looked at these shoes for months and finally pulled the trigger. I’m a big fan of my other Merrell products so I had high expectations for these. Mostly I was looking forward to wearing them on an upcoming trip to Hawaii for some light hiking and beach walking.
Unfortunately, after I received them, I went for a 10 minute walk and was bleeding on both of my heels from the cup rubbing at the top. I did some research and found a few other reviews of that happening online.
Wanting to still love them, I cut the heel cups down so they they did not angle as much inward to rub my heel. First problem solved. Excited to try them again I took them for another walk around the neighborhood after my heels healed all the way.
Unfortunately, within 10 minutes they had created a rub spot on the side of one of my feet. Heel was fine. So it seems no matter what these are going to cause sore spots on my feet. Super bummed about it because I wanted so badly for them to be the amazing shoe that the other reviews had me looking forward to.

I bought these thinking those large dark areas were mesh, they are just open holes. I already have brown sandals and was trying to replace good water shoes. If the style is what you want, be aware that they run wide and are stiff.
Hopefully they will get more comfortable with time.
Absolutely falling apart! Have glued and re-glued these shoes. Carry spare water socks against the next time they come apart! Can’t figure why there is not more such feedback? I do really use these shoes.
Once or twice a week for 5- 10 miles on the beach, but I have work shoes that slog through wet pasture (6-24 inches tall) grass all week long! No excuse!.
I bought these shoes about 5 years ago and just reordered another pair. I wear these shoes like tennis shoes for 9 months out of the year. They are awesome and so durable! I especially like that the shoe has a heel that isn’t open.

I bought these shoes to use as combination camp shoes and water shoes while backpacking. I like the fact that they are very lightweight, yet have good tread and a solid lacing system. I replaced the insoles with Superfeet (as I do in all my boots and shoes), and have used them on three backcountry trips.
Although they are comfortable to wear and light to carry, the upper material is not durable. Although I have only used them for a total of about 20 days in the backcountry (and then only worn them intermittently as camp shoes and for stream crossings), they are already falling apart.
I came to the website, and now see that the company touts them as containing all kinds of recycled vegetable matter, etc. So I see why they are crap from a materials standpoint. Salomon would better serve their customers if they’d give up the pious environmental virtue-signalling and concentrate on product quality.
I will be looking for some other product to replace these, preferably one made from durable petroleum-based synthetics that will last longer than a few days of use.
Fun and fashionable! These shoes look just like traditional deck shoes but are full function water shoes. The low-cut shoes are built-to-last with glued and sewn seams using a heavy-duty abrasion resistant thread for strength and durability.
Soft neoprene uppers are extremely comfortable and exceptionally durable. Easy to pull on and off. Non-marking white soles help keep your boat decks looking great. Soft and flexible traction sole works well on both wet and dry surfaces.
Drain holes help purge water quickly. Integrated puncture resistant sole insert help protect your feet from sharp objects while providing soft and comfortable footing when walking on stones and rough surfaces.
Fun and aasy to wear, these shoes are perfect for all water activates, and available in multiple sizes, and colors.
I ordered these for an upcoming cruise to Mexico and think they will fit the bill perfectly. Well made not cheesy. A tight fit around the ankles to help keep out sand and rocks was what i was hoping for and got.
I wear a size 9. 5 so I ordered up to a 10 and they are still a little snug. They are kinda stretchy so it’s not a big deal. My wife thinks they are ugly which makes me like them even more! Haha!.
I am a kayaker with big feet. I needed a watershoe that added minimum length to my feet so that I could still fit my feet into the kayak. The compromise is that there is almost no toe protection or back of heel protection (I am all good with this.
) I needed a very flexible sole in order to use steering pedals, which these provide, Yet the sole is tough enough for walking on stony/rocky launch areas for short periods. I have only worn them three times for about 8 hours, they still look new, and do not appear to be getting weak in seam or tread areas.

I went looking for water shoes at a major sporting goods store and was surprised at the lack of selection and price. Couldn’t believe they were asking so much money for water shoes and I had nothing to compare.
I went to my favorite DSW and not only found water shoes at a great price but there were several to choose from. I selected the Body Glove Riptide III for the comfort, fit and style. I’ve worn them 3 times in natural and man made water settings and have nothing but the highest regards for these shoes.
The Body Glove Riptide III are durable and comfortable. I have no doubt that they will last me this entire season as I enjoy all my outdoor and indoor water activities.
Bought these for a lake vacation. Didn’t want to spend a lot and they were on sale, so totally a win for me. They do run large, so I ordered a half size down as other reviewers suggested. They are also wide, but the Velcro closure helps to make them more snug.
They are really comfortable, very soft and do not rub. The lake bottom is mostly sand and it gets in the shoes, but is not irritating to my feet at all. I am so glad I went for the less expensive option, I really like them.
These water shoes are easy to put on with the quick Velcro closure. The rubber bottom has a good grip. The insert inside the shoes fits snugly and doesn’t come out. However, it can be taken out if you need to remove sand.
Sizing: Runs large. I typically wear 8. 5 shoes. Purchased and 8 which fits good with extra room to spare.

A wider toe box would’ve been lovely. I had a doubt regarding fit and the sports leader in the shop wasn’t much helpful- it was a single-person outlet in a mall, so can’t complain. But my worst fear did come true- it does come off upon the slightest force.
I use it for sailing and I now feel it should’ve taken the tighter one though my fingers would’ve been more constricted. The grip is good. Doesn’t dry super fast, but nevertheless, not bad.
I would like to visit the store with a earlier version of the same aqua shoes bought back in 2019 which is still in a great condition (insole) after years of heavy usage. Later I purchased one in 2020 over the online store and the insole just disintegrated after a couple of months.
I assumed you sold me reject quality because it was on discount. Now I observed this has the same quality stitching as the previous one and is already showing signs in less than a couple of weeks. bitterly disappointed.
To begin with, a humble request to Decathlon to neverdiscontinue these aqua shoes. I love to workout in the gym barefeet to get a feel of the floor and to get the footwork correctly during weight lifting and/or cross training.
These aqua shoes are the ideal footwear to do the needful. Have been working out since last 1 month and they are a keeper for life. To the development team, try to make the toebox a little bit wide and add some laces to fasten incase the elastic around the ankle goes loose and you will have a best seller minimalistic/wide toebox shoe at 1/100th the price of Xero, Vivo, Vibram and the clan :-).
There are many different types of water shoes for wide feet on the market, so it can be difficult to choose the right pair. However, it is important to find a pair that fits well and provides good support.
Some of the best water shoes for wide feet are made by companies such as Adidas and Nike.
