I rate this purchase 5 stars for multiple reasons. This is an authentic Movado, I had it appraised when I had the band resized. The condition is quite immaculate. And the price was unbeatable. I got what is presentable a brand new watch at a little over 1/3 retail value and I could not be happier.
I may never buy retail again. One small issue, that was extremely minor and not enough to deduct a star. Two of the links screws were not able to be unscrewed by a local jeweler when resizing. I took it to a Movado service center and they fixed it in 10 minutes and it only cost me $15.

The purchase was for a birthday present. One end of the band was taped to the closure. When the tape was removed the band dropped away from the closure. There was not a pin to be found. I truly believe, the pin was missing at the point of assembly.

**BUYERS BEWARE** July: Watch came dead (no battery?) so I probably have to pay out of pocket to get it fixed before I can use it. Going to a watch store tomorrow to find out what’s wrong with it. I’m hoping it’s just a matter of replacing the battery and nothing serious.

DO NOT BUY this watch if you live in North America. In fact, DO NOT BUY from Braun at all if you’re outside of Europe, unless you’re getting it from a local retailer that can refund you for defects.
