Vitamin C serums are often used to treat rosacea, as they can help to reduce inflammation and redness. Vitamin C is an antioxidant, meaning it helps to protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals.
Free radicals are unstable molecules that can cause damage to the skin, and are thought to contribute to the development of fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging.

Few ingredients in skin care have as much solid evidence as to their effectiveness as Vitamin C.
Vitamin C helps in the production of collagen, reduce the appearance of wrinkles & discoloration.
Potent natural antioxidant that has been found to have a compounding antioxidant/photo-protective effect when used with Vitamin C.
An antioxidant blend, formulated to brighten, tighten and smooth the skin, while reducing wrinkles and dark spots. The key ingredient is sodium ascorbic phosphate (STAY-CR 50), more stable and bioavailable than the traditional L-Ascorbic acid.
Other key ingredients are vitamin E and ferules acid, which when combined with vitamin C, enhance the antioxidant effects and provide sun protection. Hyaluronic acid hydrates the skin.

I got a pretty generously sized sample of this in an order a few weeks ago, and after finishing it I decided to buy the full size. For reference, I have very fair, oily, somewhat sensitive, acne-prone skin with mild rosacea.
First, let me address the scent. Yes, it smells like turmeric because it contains turmeric (duh). I knew what I was getting so I wasn’t bothered by the smell. I also think the scent is pretty mild and it doesn’t linger.
If you don’t like the smell of turmeric or have never smelled it before, this might not be for you. Personally, I was interested in this product largely because of the included turmeric. I struggle with skin redness and the anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric can help with that.
It’s also supposedly good for acne. So far, I really like this serum. I’ve been using it for the past couple of weeks as part of my morning skincare routine. It’s moisturizing and spreads over the skin easily.
It’s a gentle formula that hasn’t caused any irritation or breakouts. It doesn’t make me greasy, but I find it gives me a really healthy glow upon application. I have a bad habit of picking at pimples and my acne marks take forever to fade, but I do feel like this is helping speed up that process.
I think over a longer time period I’ll be able see the effects more dramatically and form a more comprehensive opinion on this product’s overall effectiveness, but I just wanted to write a review with my experience thus far (especially because there are quite a few negative reviews based on the scent).
I LOVE this vitamin C serum with turmeric. It goes on more like a lotion, but it’s brightening and calming and I like that is smells natural instead of perfumed. That being said, they need to hire a packaging engineer… (or if they already have one; maybe find a better one?) The bottle design means you lose 20-25% of the product because it is stuck to the sides and won’t pump out.
A couple ideas for them: 1. ) Deeper slope in the bottom of the bottle so the creamy mixture moves downward and can be pumped out instead of gathering at the sides. There is plenty of dead space at the bottom of this bottle for them to improve the slope.
2. ) Make the bottle bigger and thin the formula out a little so it flows better— e. g. go up to 1. 2 ounces and add. 2 ounces of something less viscous. 3. ) Use a tube or something that is gravity fed and we can squeeze to get product out.
Higher end skincare is already expensive (this formula is wonderful; but you’re spending $70 for. 75 ounces of useable product). It’s sad that so much of the product is wasted because no one thought about the bottle/usage.
Snagged this new Vitamin C + Turmeric Serum from @herbivorebotanicals during my last #sephorahaul !🖤🤍💛 🌼Has very promising ingredients like Vit C for brightening and improvement of dark spots, Turmeric as anti oxidant and Arbutin for pore care.
🌼 Product is thick with slight tackiness upon application. Very nourishing so far. Have yet to see the brightening effect as I barely started. This has a very notable Turmeric scent that i’m not a fan of.
Amazing beneficial serum if you can overlook the scent. Personally i just dont like turmeric scent. 🌼 NOVA is vegan, cruelty free, all natural. Has the “Clean and Planet Positive seal at Sephora” #herbivore #nova #vitaminc #turmeric #arbutin #skincare #antioxidant #serum #antiaging #skinstagram #skinblog #sephora #herbivorebotanicals Herbivore Botanicals Nova 15% Vitamin C Turmeric Brightening Serum.

Obagi Professional-C Serum provides antioxidant protection with deep penetration to the dermal layer. The 10% L-ascorbic acid helps contribute to collagen synthesis. Obagi Professional-C Serum 10% is suitable for dry sensitive or reactive skin.
I just started using this product so I can’t leave a full review I will try to make it back for an update and increase to 5 stars once I see results as that can take a few months. After weeks of research and speaking with my dermatologist I went with this line of vitamin C.
So far I really love the product. I have sensitive dry skin and this did not irritate my skin at all. I do keep the serum in the fridge as that will help to ensure the product remains stable and lasts longer.
The product goes on smooth and blends in well. It does have a slight fragrance but it’s a real vitamin c serum not loaded with other ingredients so I expected this and it goes away after a few minutes.
Also to note I do feel a slight tingle but I like that! After I apply this I put my moisturizer on followed by my sunscreen and it layers well. I can’t wait to see how my skin will look over time!.
I love everything about the serum (besides the price). It absorbs beautifully and it has really helped the overall brightness and tone of my skin. It is expensive. There is no way around that. Vitamin C is one of the most unstable minerals to work with so most cheap ones don’t have the efficacy of the medical grade ones.
Medical grade skin care has been through so many tests to make sure it is what it says it is and this is no different. I also love that this serum smells nice. That isn’t the case with most Vitamin C serums.
It is 100% worth the money, in my opinion. Please be aware that if you buy it from discount sites or anyone who isn’t an authorized Obagi rep or spa you run the risk of using outdated product. It is worth it to spend the money on the real deal.
Just what the skin doctor ordered. Indulge your skin with one of the richest natural Vitamin C sources known on earth. Wild harvested in the remote Australian Kimberley and Nw Territory, Kakadu Plum puts the Super in super fruit, containing on average 55 times more Vitamin C than in Florida oranges.
Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant and helps protect skin from environmental aggressors by fighting free radical damage. Helps brighten and leave skin feeling more elastic, smoother, softer and firmer.
This high potency, lightweight serum provides an anti-aging concentrate of 20% stabilized Vitamin C enriched with Kakadu Plum, Ferulic Acid and Vitamin E.
I love this serum! Every time I find it on sale I purchase more than one and stock up! I use it everyday when I wake up for three years now and it’s worked wonders for me. Forget what everyone is complaining about I had pigmentation/ dark spots from being in the sun driving all day and in the hot sun in lines at Disneyland, and hyperpigmentation from my first pregnancy which was very recent.
You have to be patient and just use it in your routine skincare and weeks later you’ll notice or forget about those dark spots. My skin is brighter and very glowy. I love using this everyday with the Dermadoctor kakadu c evening oil.
It’s my holy grail product. I swear by this everyday with the tarte Maracuja oil! Try it you won’t be disappointed! Dermadoctor contact me if you need a PR!! I would totally do more reviews for your products.
I bought this during the 21 Days of Beauty (disclaimer I bought this last year I believe, I just found the bottle while I was decluttering and it gave me war flashbacks) I got it along with the Patchology eye patches (I think that was the brand name they’re long gone but I loved them I just don’t want to splurge on new ones got them because it was good sale price at the time) and in the beginning I loved it but I tended to forget to put it on at night, it only got used 3-4 times in total last year, the last time I used it I had a horrible reaction.
Woke up in the morning my face itching on my right side of my face it was so bad I thought I got bitten by a mosquitoor something like that. 2 hours later I felt my face really hot and itchy but I just ignored it, when I got to my mom’s, she looked surprised and asked what happened to my face.
I said it was a mosquito but my mom insisted that it was no mosquito bite, I looked on the mirror and saw both of my cheeks were swollen and red it felt like I got a really bad sunburn and my face got hotter and itchier.
I put aloe vera on my face and use an ice roller to manage the inflammation. I honestly thought I ate something which is rare because I’m only allergic to insects bites that’s why I thought it was a mosquito earlier because i tend to have weird reactions like that (instead of the normal bump I get a huge bump looks, gets really red, starts to burn and extreme itchiness) but I didn’t have any other reaction except what was happening to my face.
8 hours later my face was super swollen, my eyelids, my lips, everything I looked horrible. That’s when I remembered I used this serum the night before which explained why only my face was being affected.
Took me 5 days to go back to normal. I got the serum to help with fine lines etc (I smile too much and make a lot of facial expressions I can’t help it) but I ended up with more lines and even more pronounced after the inflammation.
Horrible experience. I know everyone has different reactions and skin but I recommend you do more research on the ingredients or talk to your dermatologist before purchasing this.
I had an allergic reaction described by several reviewers (disastrous!). My skin is not sensitive and I’ve never had any bad reactions to pretty much anything. I have an “elephant” skin – nothing helps it but nothing breaks it.
except this product. The reaction revealed itself after about a month of use. In the beginning, I loved it. One day, I put it on my face in the evening and I wake up in the morning with my face itching and sooooo badly swollen that I could hardly see through my eyes.
After a couple of days of no cosmetic products at all, except natural oils, I developed very dry eczema-like patches. I am confident that it was a reaction to the product. because I did it twice 🙂 The first time, I thought I must have eaten something.
There was no suspicion about the product because I used it for a month. After I restored my skin with another month of a break from this product, I had a reaction immediately, the same day when I applied it.
The second time was much worse. The first time, it took me about 3 days to get rid of the swollen face and 2 weeks to get rid of dry patches. The second time, swollenness stayed for about 1. 5 weeks, dry patches stayed for about 1.
5 months. That was a period when I was happy to be in quarantine and wear a mask everywhere :).
This concentrated serum helps to brighten skin and boost collagen health, minimizing the look of fine lines and wrinkles while improving the appearance of uneven skin tone. Intensely moisturizing Hyaluronic Acid plus non-oxidizing Vitamin C work together to protect skin from environmental stresses, helping to prevent signs of aging.
Soothing Aloe and Vitamin E deeply moisturize for a rejuvenated you.
I cannot give enough stars for this product, this is literally my favorite serum out there! I’ve used 1 full bottle fell in love! It was giving to me by a friend, I’ve purchased 2 more bottles this month! I have extremely dry skin I work inside a vehicle and it’s window down mostly the whole day.
But my whole body lacks whatever keeps moisture inside my skin. I’ve tried several lotions, creams etc. they pretty much all go on like water. It’s very rare that I find something that I like that works.
Of course I use this after every time I clean my face I always top it with a lotion. I do use an everyday lotion/cream Cetaphil that you can buy at Walmart but my new facial moisturizer I’ve been using now renewed hope in a bottle by philosophy.
Once topped with either lotions my skin holds the moisture is extremely soft threw out the day! I’m so pleased with this that the extra bottle is just for my hands feet, yes that’s no joke it works that well!!! Maybe 1 day my skin will actually feel as soft as it did when I was a child! I will only purchase this serum from here on out, nothing will or could ever bear how well this works for me! ❤️.

Received this product complimentary from Influenster and Neostrata in exchange for my honest review. I have tried many vitamin c serums and many of them are overwhelmingly citrusy in scent and I am very sensitive to scents so the fact this one is not this way is a very big plus.
I like that the packaging goes with the whole vitamin c and citrus theme with the yellow color. It is a typical dropper style application. I also appreciate the fact this product was not too oily which I find to be the case with most serums and specially vitamin c serums.
This product absorbed into the skin quickly and did not leave that sticky oily film that sometimes gets all over everything. It was not heavy or thick which I like. My skin can be sensitive and this did not aggravate my skin.
It falls in between that range of percentages good for vitamin c quantity/concentration. The PHA in the ingredients makes it gentler on the skin which can be good for more acne prone skin, but def consult with your doctor or dermatologist to find what suits your skin as not everyone’s skin is the same.
The biggest issue with this is the price point, not everyone can afford a 55 dollar bottle of citrus oil…just my opinion!!! I know my video is not showing the product usage on my face but I was utilizing other products at the time but I just wanted to showcase the bottle size, the applicator/dropper and the consistency of the serum liquid and how on my hand you can see that it was not super oily at all.
I have a lot to say about this product but will try to keen it concise. I have used this for almost 3 weeks now. Before this, I was using the skinceuticals one. The Neostrata 15% Vitamin C + PHA serum, is a brightnening concentrate with 15% L ascorbic acid and 2% of PHA (exfoliator)for daily use.
I have some sun spots on my cheeks, the pictures you see are bare skin, I am only wearing lipstick in these photos. You can see a difference in the brightness and the fading of my sun spot on my cheek.
It’s not completely gone, but it’s much lighter than it was 3 weeks ago. Apart from this, I have seen a glow in my skin, an even ness. I have normal to dry skin and this concentrate works really well, it gets absorbed quickly and I do not smell a fragrance in it either.
Compared to the skinceuticals one, which smells like a burnt tire, the Neostrata one is much more pleasant. I also like the price, it’s more affordable than the other one I mentioned. The 2% PHA acts as a gentle exfoliator, the Feverfew extract acts has an enhancer for your skin’s natural antioxidants.
In my humble opinion, this product is a win for those with normal to dry skin types. I will certainly be purchasing this one when I run out.
Meet the liquid magic that transformed my skin from a dry, rosacea-ridden wasteland to an opulent silk oasis. Pros: -one thing I love about this serum is that it evens out my skin tone and leaves me glowing, eliminating the need for any foundation or cc cream.
-Great for rosacea: so many expensive serums have irritated my skin. This works wonders without causing irritation and a rosacea flare up. -Skin that feels like silk: if my face were Hanes cotton, this serum transformed it into Hermes silk.
I can’t stop touching my face – my skin feels so hydrated, nourished, and looks glowing and refreshed. I don’t need to add an extra exfoliating step to my skin care routine – this is the serum that does it all.
-environmental protection: My skin feels protected while hustling and bustling about the city. Cons: -I can’t think of any- except now I’m buying too many neostrata products!.

Plus, you’ll love this serum’s minimal, naturally derived orange scent (it was rigorously tested for safety, toxicity and allergens).
The positives first – this product has a lovely citrus smell and (intentional) orange color. It is a spreadable serum with a thicker gel/lotion consistency which is a nice contrast to the watery consistency that many Vitamin C products have.
This makes for a very pleasant and pampering application. However, I will be returning the serum because after a week of use, I have determined that this product pills far too much to be usable. I used a different (watery) Vitamin C product before trying this serum.
Like most people, I use Vitamin C in the morning, so a fully “done” day would include Vitamin C, moisturizer, sunscreen, and potentially makeup on top. These layers were no problem in the before times.
The pilling began as soon as I switched and no amount of adjustment could fix it. I tried reducing the amount of serum I was applying, giving the serum more time to absorb before applying moisturizer, and even had a day where I just applied the serum and nothing to follow to see how much of the pilling could be attributed to the serum itself.
Yeah, you guessed it. It’s a shame, but no matter how effective the serum is (which I can’t speak to having only used it regularly for a week), I simply can’t use something that’s going to ruin my makeup everyday.
Best product for a glass skin on woman over 40. I am 42. I only use l ascorbic acid as vitamin C in AM so I am not using this product to get my skin vitamin C. Though, if you put make up on and want anything close to a glass skin (or even without make up), omg this product does the job.
It gives a glass skin not looking greasy at all and not feeling greasy. Your skin won’t be sticky at all. It also makes me look 10 years younger. Routine: I clean my skin in am with 2 steps korean way + little gentle chemical exfoliant, then I use t.
m…. s vitamin C 20%, then korean broad spf, then this wonderful serum from Ole Henriksen and then I add a light moisturizer on top. Not too much. I then apply Tatcha primer on my fine lines and pores (minimal as possible), then a cushion korean make up with spf or Nars radiant foundation.
If you want even a more dewy look, use Tatcha dewy skin cream as moisturizer instead (a little-no need much or will be greasy), but not mandatory. You will look many years younger if you remain light and natural with your make up… please never discontinue this product!!! P.
S: this product is not good for people sensitive to fragrance as there is fragrance.
I bought this as part of a gift set last Christmas and have only been using this in earnest this past three months. I can confidently say it’s a staple of my morning routine. I use it after splash of toner or Fresh kombucha essence, and I love how this product makes my skin plump and glow from within.
I also love that the vitamin C acts as double protection against the sun under my sunscreen! Because I have dry skin, I’ve been using Ole’s matching VitC gel crème over top, and find this a perfect base for my makeup.
It has never pilled for me. I am not sure I understand the very negative ratings, but perhaps it’s skin type? For ref – I’m Asian, early 40’s, with dry skin that’s prone to breakout. This product is perfect.
In fact, I’m writing this because I came on to buy another bottle, and wanted to share my experience given the other negative reviews. I’m not paid for this!.

It is on the pricier side for it is a true derma product meaning it works from the inside out not like those other comercial cosmetic brands. Invest on real dermatologist approved products if you want a better skin in the long run.

This is the best vitamin C serum I’ve ever used, period. I used to not believe in the efficacy of vitamin C until I used this one. It reduced the hyperpigmentation left by acne and makes my face glow like a literal star.
This serum is not at all oily, it is more on the drier side. After application, I like to spray my face with a hydrating mist like the milky spray by Petra. Overall, couldn’t recommend this serum enough- it’s done wonders!.
Advanced Skin care 30% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum 1. oz bottle Benefits of Vitamin C Vitamin C is an antioxidant and can help reduce skin damage caused by free radicals Vitamin C is essential for the synthesis of collagen It moisturizes and softens the skin It encourages growth of collagen It exfoliates and cleanses It helps remove wrinkles / fine lines Great for those suffering from acne and pimples WILL STAY FRESH FOR 3 MONTHS It is highly recommended that everyone apply Vitamin C onto the face daily since this protects against UV induced cell damage.
It is this sun damage that not only causes premature aging but also skin cancers. However Vitamin C has other properties including being one of the few ingredients that has a science base to show that it reverses signs of aging to the skin.
Vitamin C at least a 10% concentration and low ph has been shown to stimulate collagen, decrease wrinkle depth and have lightening effects on pigmentation.
I’m on the younger end of middle aged which means I have the “joy” of struggling with those monthly hormonal breakouts AND the early stages of aging skin on top of having dry skin. Very first use, I noticed the pleasant scent, refreshing tingling feeling, my skin immediately felt more hydrated to the touch, & no filmy residue was left behind.
Few days to a week in, using 2+ times per day (I like spritzing throughout the day & a light mist doesn’t mess up my makeup), my skin was visibly brighter, smoother looking & had a glow to it. A week, to now almost a month, of regular use, my pores are smaller.
Discoloration in my skintone has evened out dramatically. Fine lines have noticeably diminished, although they still exist. I can skip foundation/BB cream & just use a light dusting of Bare Minerals Faux Tan & my skin looks radiant, which is a great time saver.
Best of all – I’ve had NO breakouts during PMS despite indulging in massive doses of chocolate, ice cream & Doritos per usual. A crucial part of getting the maximum benefits out of your skin care products is allowing them the time to absorb/do their thing before applying your next product.
I spray this on, give it 10 minutes, then serum, giving it 10 minutes, then moisturizer, giving it 10+ minutes to absorb before applying makeup. Tilting & turning your face to spritz this product from different angles seems to help (& don’t forget to shake before each use).
I’ve tried SO MANY products (& think I’ve finally found the perfect combination for my skincare needs). I’ve got maybe 1/4 of my 1st bottle left & just ordered another because my skin looks & feels so amazing now, I don’t want to dare run out.
Even my hubby has noticed that I’m “glowing” lately. For the price, it’s DEFINITELY worth trying. Good luck & be blessed!!!.
I’ve been searching for an affordable and effective vitamin c serum for a long time. I’ve tried several from Cosrx to Klairs to lumene products, but never one that I saw such fast results with as this one.
I saw an instant brightening effect and a few scars have already lightened pretty dramatically in less than a week of use. I have heard that keeping vitamin c in the fridge helps it to last longer so that’s where I keep this.
I use it twice a day with other serums and moisturizer as part of my anti aging routine and at this point will definitely buy this again when I run out.
I actually liked this serum though a little sticky. I could feel it was strong as it slightly stung my skin. I like that. I know it has some strength. My only problem was it has chunks in it like it wasn’t dissolved and clumped up.
I’m 56 and have purchased a lot of vitamin c serums and powders to diy. I know some powders don’t dissolve if it’s not fine enough. I would purchase again if it was smooth.

Dermatologically tested, 10% Vitamin C Face Serum is safe, potent, and clinically proven to reduce acne marks, blemishes, fine lines and wrinkles.
A serum with the goodness of vit c, hyaluronic acid along with 5% niacinamide, what more can one ask for from a serum. The 10% concentrate of Vit C is just right for sensitive skin like mine, which doesn’t irritate my skin.
The presence of other soothing acids like hyaluronic and niacinamide make it a must have in every one’s’s AM skincare regime.
I have always seen many influencers mentioning that vitamin c + Niacinamide is a total disaster but after using this serum for 1 week my opinion is seriously changed. I was little bit hesitated to use when i bought it first, but OMG this serum has totally faded my spots, and to calm the active acnes i have been using derma co salicylic acid.
Some common symptoms of rosacea include facial redness, flushing, bumps and pimples, and visible blood vessels. While there is no cure for rosacea, using a vitamin C serum may help to lessen some of the symptoms.
What causes rosacea?
Some experts believe that it is caused by a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Additionally, some research suggests that vitamin C serums may help to reduce the severity of rosacea symptoms.
How can rosacea be treated?
