I’ve mounted many TVs and have a ton of experience with Sanus Systems, in my opinion they are superior in design. This was my first experience with Mantel Mount and quite honestly I was extremely disappointed.

One of my biggest complaints is that the mount to the wall should have an open design for the mounting screws so in the event you need to hit a stud, you have flexibility. The fix would be to create a new hole but we were moving and I didn’t have all of my tools with me.

Poor, poor design not well thought out. The only thing going for Mantel is that there aren’t any other competitors with a design like theres. so they have that going for them. Instructions were not intuitive as other mounts on the market.

Template was made out of paper, really? Make it out of cardboard. Dumb and cheap.

Hello, I ordered Mantel Mount TV mount after lot of expectations both from product and company. The product was sturdy, met my requirements and definitely awesome. However, I had to return the product because it is way too much for my requirement.

So. I returned the product in the same condition I received it. I thought Mantel Mount would have a reasonable return policy. It is ABSOLUTE WORSE. I had to pay $120 for return shipping through USPS on a product that costed $260.

This is BAD and shame on such a company. I am unhappy about this. If I had known this in prior, I would not have bought this product. I will never recommend or will order another product from you. I ended up losing money for no reason.

I am a Mechanical Engineer my self and I very much understand what goes into designing and manufacturing such a product. But what good is a company if it doesn’t have employee/consumer friendly policies.

I really like this mount! It feels secure and firm. I don’t think it was made to hold my smallish TV as the mount couldn’t sit low enough and the mount bars on the wall are visible when the TV is extended down.

The instructions said the size was ok, but the mount didn’t position far enough down on the TV for the 3 inch minimum or the 2 beams would stick out the top instead. Ultimately I plan on a bigger TV, so that won’t be a long term issue.

The small TV doesn’t give good weight to help lower, but we can still pull it down. Also, the white covers are nice except they cover over the outlet behind the TV. Perhaps smaller covers just for the bars might alleviate having to cut a whole in it.

Love the ability to lower it down!!.

As can be seen in my photos, I have a stonework fireplace and did not want to attach the MantleMount bracket to the wall and drill into the stone. So I used a ceiling mount pole and attached the mantle mount to the post with two sturdy U-Bolts.

Here are thoughts on what could be improved on the MantleMount system: 1) My Sonos soundbar could not be attached easily to the MantleMount bracket, even having purchased the option with the soundbar attachment kit.

Once the Soundbar was attached I could no longer attached the pulldown MantleMount handle, so I have to hold onto my TV to adjust the height. 2) The cable management is very poor. Given all the engineering that must have gone into the design, some cable routing design would have been a welcome addition.

The clips that come with the Mantle mount are worthless and it’s hard to position wires not to get pinched by the hinged mechanism. 3) It’s not a smooth to operate as the video shows. The user manual acknowledges that the system requires different to move the TV depending on its positioning but the video showing operation is a little deceptive.

That being said, overall the MantleMount product: 1) Is very sturdy and well made, and 2) Has an impressive range of height variation—In the up position the top of my TV just misses the ceiling and in the down position is quite low (see photos), I would strongly recommend this product.

There was absolutely no way I could’ve centered this TV mount perfectly because the holes in the horizontal brackets are exactly 1 inch apart. I ended up having to take a dremel to a total of 8 holes to cut out metal between them so that I could center the horizontal parts perfectly between my walls.

If you know what M-Lok is, then that’s what I did to 4 opposing holes in the horizontal mount bars. My obsession with symmetry, levelness, and centering would’ve driven me mad every time I looked at it.

Leveling the TV mount was somewhat easy but accessing the 4 small screws required an extension to my ratcheting tool and allen bit. It took a few tries, but we finally made it work. I tightened them down pretty good because it took some time to get it perfectly level in the up and down position.

Most annoying are the sound bar mounting plates and the bar itself. You can’t get this perfect at all. I’m going to take my welder and weld nuts into the sound bar brackets and make them fit perfectly into the horizontal sound bar bars.

I would probably cautiously recommend this product to others needing a mantle mount.

My husband and I took about 6 hours to mount ours and we’re very happy with it. Half that time was spent figuring out where the studs were behind a brick facade fireplace so that’s not MantelMount’s fault.

We had to do an elaborate McGyver-worthy investigation involving mirrors, a bent coat hanger, a wiring box removal, and other random elements because of the way our fireplace was built. We finally figured it out and got the thing assembled and hung in place, and it’s working as promised.

My recommendation to others would be that if you anticipate issues, do the installation on a weekday when you can call them for tech support. We were out of luck because they were closed on the weekend when we did ours.

Waiting wasn’t an option for us. I’d also say that it’s more complex than it seems at first and you really do need someone who’s good with written directions and another person who knows how to build stuff.

I would suggest that the company actually create a step by step detailed video for each model – every step, every screw and bolt, every instruction, all the way to calibrating the force to raise and lower the mount at the end.

The video they have is not much help at all and I can see how this process could really frustrate anyone who isn’t already handy.

I had this installed in my living room today. I love it! The up/down motion is smooth and there are 2 options on the remote to program the settings you like best so one button will take it to your desired setting.

I have tall ceilings and the fireplace is taller than I am so to have a tv mounted that high, you would end up with a stiff neck trying to watch it. This was the perfect solution!.

Item has been great! Works exactly like I wanted. Installation was not difficult at all. Shipping was fast too. Very pleased with the purchase.

I wanted to love my MantelMount MM700 Pro but I experienced too many issues to ever recommend it. While the build quality is decent, it is far from the companies claim of “superior”. I had numerous issues during installation, missing items such as bolts, washers, etc.

The paintable wall covers do not stay on. The company actually said “Yes this is a known issue, you need to go purchase a stronger Velcro, something made by 3M. ” I also had a sound bar to attach and that was an absolute nightmare.

I reached out to support. I said it seems like the sound bar attachment system was an after thought by the engineering team. The rep said “Yes we added it later to the design, it was not originally apart of the 700MM Pro.

” The support team did nothing to help address the numerous issue I brought before them. I do not recommend this product. I had two friends help me install the 700MM Pro who were thinking of getting the same model.

After seeing what I went through, the missing pieces, covers falling off and the horrific sound bar design they decided to get something else. Good for them. I wish I did. I am giving 2-stars but really would be 1.

5-stars if that were an option. I am guessing this review means I wont be eligible for “50%” off my order. but I would rather leave a real review then write a fake 5 star for the chance of a discount on my order.

Recently purchased the MM700. Quick summary, it does what it says it will do. The install of the actual mount is pretty straightforward. Need to make sure you have solid mounting, especially if plan on putting up a TV 70+ inches.

Also, make sure you measure everything multiple times, I followed the instructions to the letter. However, after installing the sound bar brackets, I actually had to re adjust them because the “rounded side” was an inch lower than the sound bar.

After making some strategic adjustments, the mount just misses the mantle by a few millimeters (literally). In all reality, I should have added another inch to their institutions to make it fit with the sound bar brackets.

All-in-all, it’s a solid mount, it’s a little unnerving trying to lift a 86” TV above a 6. 5foot mantle but the end result looks great.

1. Instructions included with Recess Mount were outdated. Customer Service provided updated pdf. 2. Calculation and Measurements that determine mount’s arc feels hit or miss. I followed advice of CS Agent and was successful.

Printed instructions could have led to disastrous results. 3. It would be better if the Sound Bar / No Sound Bar decision wasn’t permanent. With my TV mounted without Sound Bar, there is no way to add one later, as far as I can tell.

4. Lastly, it seems very wasteful and expensive to toss out so much of the mounting hardware because I used the Recess Box and I framed the opening. This is all constructive criticism. I am very happy with my mount.

We are so happy with this product! The install directions unfortunately weren’t included in the package, so we had to do some research and called around to get a hold of someone for help. We’re so thankful to Chris for picking up in the evening on a Sunday to walk us through a few things in order to get it installed.

We had a tough time finding a mount for there nook in our house (it’s 2 feet deep, so a regular arm mount just wouldn’t cut it). Now that it’s up, we are so thrilled with how it turned out!.

This mount is absolutely easy to install and well worth every penny! We used it in the nook in our living room and it really came out terrific. This mount gives you a lot of flexibility to tilt forward, balance, and move side to side.

Just what the nook needed, a TV mount that is simple to install. From box to nook and TV installation in about 45 minutes to an hour. I love this, but my daughter and her family, loves it more.

This mount allowed us to reclaim a large amount of real estate in our living room that had previously been occupied by a TV stand. I was always hesitant to mount the TV over the mantel due to the neck strain, but this mount has solved that problem.

I had initially planned to attempt a recessed mount, but after running a stud finder over the wall determined that there was some type of horizontal bracing/header that would have been in the way so ultimately decided to surface mount for simplicity.

It still looks great with the surface mount. I did order the SK50 surface install kit to make it look a little more finished, but honestly I did not think it looked that bad without the trim pieces so if you surface mount you might consider seeing how it looks before you decide whether you need the SK50.

The SK50 trim pieces are super easy to install and can be added after everything else is in place. The most challenging part of the mounting process is that the MM750 mechanism is pretty heavy (about 70 pounds), so you need some help to get it up on the wall.

The included template is very helpful in getting the positioning right. I probably spent 2 hours with a tape measure, level, and stud finder just making sure that all the markings were in the right place before I started drilling holes.

One trick that I found useful for the surface mount was to mount the bottom cross bar on the wall first, which gave us something to rest the main heavy portion of the mount on as we attached the upper portion.

After mounting the lower cross bar, my wife and I lifted the mount onto a tall step stool and rested it there while climbing a few steps up the ladder and then lifting it the rest of the way up to the wall.

For our mantel, with a depth of 9. 5 inches, I think we could have actually surface mounted the box a couple of inches lower than what was specified in the instructions. I would say that no part of the mechanism ever gets closer than 5 inches from the edge of the mantel when in operation – so there is more than enough clearance in our particular situation.

Had we done the recessed mount we probably would have needed that extra clearance, but with the surface mount the TV starts out a few inches further from the wall. Regardless, we have been very pleased with the results.

I installed my LG OLED a year and a half ago and have loved every minute of my new set up. If you plan to use the OLED TV do use the optional supports. They are easy to install and make for a very solid mount, The install is not that difficult if you handy with tools.

If not I would recommend a contractor. We put mine in flush mount and it looks like it was built into the house from the start. We have all the wire hidden and it is a very clean set up. Our mantle was over six feet tall so we had no real desire to install the TV that high up.

We then found Mantle Mount and it made the Tv very useful and added space to our room. The Sound bar was a bit more of a challenge to install as I used the LG bar. I used the wall mounts and re drilled them to fit the Mantle Mount supplied bar and fastened them with Stainless Steel bolts.

This made for a very solid mount and durable, All the bars are a bit different so it may take some consideration on how to mount it.

We purchased the 700 for our first TV install (Samsung 75”) in the living room and we loved. Then we decided to buy the same TV for the game day room and went with the M750 mount. The 750 is next level.

For the exact same TV, we noticed there’s absolutely no after movement wiggle. When you pull the TV down, it sticks, when you tilt or swivel, same. One word of caution though, it is much heavier and I would recommend getting a buddy to help you install it, especially when hoisting it up above the mantel.

But make no mistake, it’s totally worth it. My electrician even brought one of his electrician buddies over to show him. The product is well worth every penny.

I purchased this item through WalMart as a holiday gift. I like to shop ahead, especially this year with all the other issues going on with items being available and shipping delays. Unfortunately, the item does not work on the TV that was also a gift for my husband.

I reached out to Walmart to return the item and they contacted the company/shipper that sold the item through Walmart. They refused to accept the item back, even though it has never been used or even opened.

They, unlike most retailers this time of year, do not have a generous return policy and will not work with me to return the item. I will not be dealing with them again – BEWARE when you buy items through Walmart, double check who is actually sending/selling the item to you.

I have an at home office, and due to the nature of my job I need several different pieces of equipment. However, desk space is a premium to some degree. So I was looking for some way to mount a tv that did not take up desk space but still allowed me to be able to see the tv.

And I wanted it to swivel so that I could sit on the futon in my office and use the tv for non work related functions. This fit the bill perfectly. I had concerned that it would be difficult, or time consuming to install.

I am a middle age woman with a great deal of fluff and mobility issues (unrelated to being fluffy) and installation was not hard at all. It came with almost everything to install (needed a drill and the bit).

It took about 15 minutes to have everything hung, installed and ready for use. And that included removing the legs from the bottom of the tv. The TV I am using it with is a Haier 32 inch TV. However I also tried with a larger tv and it also lined it (it was Vizeo) but I lacked actually room to use it.

It was nothing that mount could not support. The directions are really easy to follow, and everything is laid out really simply. I like that fact its a matte black and nothing something blinding and gaudy.

and although the TV doesn’t move on it’s own you don’t have to have a great amount of strength to turn the tv either. Just all around fantastic. I am thinking about buying another one for the bedroom.

It would be nice if it could extend down longer, have a faster motor, and a better & more detailed instructions. Besides those things, it’s a cool mount.

This is the second Mounting Dream TV mount we have purchased from Amazon. The first one was for our patio outside and was an articulating mount. It was so strong and well built I decided to pay a little more for a simple tilting wall mount for our bedroom.

They provide several types of VESA bolts to fit many different TV mounting holes. They also provide spacers, washers and lag bolts. Since I was attaching a 50″ Plasma weighing about 75 lbs on a metal studded wall I bought 6 snap wall toggle anchors as was recommended on a YouTube about mounting on a metal studded wall.

The ones I got were from Home Depot and 4 of the six broke while inserting into the drilled hole. Fortunately I have standard 3/16″ toggle bolts. While harder to install they worked much better and more secure so if going into metal studs I recommend standard toggle bolts.

Be sure to find the center of the stud by using a magnet and nailing on both sides of the studs to find the center. Back to the mount; it is really well designed and strong. You can adjust it many different ways which is a must due to spacing of the studs which is usually 16″ apart.

You will love this mount.

Admittedly I was skeptical of this mount. I have two mounts of another more expressive brand that were both installed by a professional. The other brand cost $150. 00 each and supports up 150 lbs. This significantly cheaper Mounting Dream mount features the same specs and performs just as well.

This mount is very sturdy and offers quick disconnect pull straps to easily remove the TV from the mount of needed. Attaching this mount to the wall was very easy with the aid of the included leveled.

Make sure to find the studs in the wall with a stud finder. For additional peace of mind, use a magnetic stud finder in addition to the traditional one to locate the nails in the studs. There is nothing worse than discovering a metal nail in a spot where you need to screw in your last bolt.

Surprisingly, I was able to use this mount for a 32 inch Vizio TV! It fits in the center of the mount snugly but it fits! I have bought two of these mounts to hang up two TV’s in the bedrooms (the 32 inch and a 50 inch).

I did the mounting and wire/wall work myself. The results came out very nice combined with this mount! If I had more rooms I would buy more of these mounts to hang TV’s on. If you’re not handing up some huge 80 inch TV, there is no need to spend $150.

Very simple to install with full instructions and lots of different screw sizes and lengths to suit different TVs. We were mounting a 65″ Samsung UHDTV and it needed the longest M8 screws and additional washers and it fitted the highest and lowest holes on the brackets that go on the back of the TV.

The spirit level that was included was not used as it was out of level when checked on a flat surface (just swing it through 180 and the bubble was not the same). The holes for the lag screws to hold it to the wall studs needed a 7/32″ drill and it still took a hex ratchet wrench and a strong arm to get them fully home.

It was a good job that I connected the HDMI cables and the optical cable before mounting on the wall as they are almost inaccessible as the TV is very close to the wall. Two small release straps are provided for the bottom latches but they were just too short to be reached so we extended them by looping string through the straps.

It was quite easy to tuck the excess string out of the way so nothing showed. The mounting bracket allows the TV to slide left and right for final positioning which helped as the studs were not in the best position between two large bookcases.

Great praise for the well thought out unit and all of the fixings and great instructions.

First review I’ve written and ebayer for at least 5 years. So being a guy that has installed numerous wall mounts for friends in the past, this is the first mount that I did not feel the need to use 2×4 braces across the studs on the finish side of the wall.

Like 10mm lag bolts included, and multiple fasteners for hooking the bracket to your TV right. Solid peices, great design, extremely functional, easy to install (in construction but still feel it was easy).

Buying a smaller one for myother TV I was so impressed. I was not paid to write this, just blown away at how great and inexpensive thia product is. Range of motion is exceptional. This is a 50″ vizio in the pic, but I bought this for my 65″ lg oled e7p, but was more in need of a mounting this location so I could utilize it in a corner.

Once the smaller one arrives, I will swap out. Hopefully the holes line up.

I sound like I’m selling it for them! This is my first review for anything and the only reason is because I didn’t think I would have liked something as much as this product. Its directions are so easy and simple that a child could do it.

Everything is bagged out separately so that you couldn’t get all mixed up where anything goes. This is a great buy at $70 or less anymore is robbery! 5stars.

I thought I am a careful person and thought the dimensions were right for my t. v. It was way off when I got it. I don’t know whose fault it was. I drilled holes where I needed to and fit it to my t.

v. However, the top and bottom of the mount extend way above and below the t. v. It securely holds the t. v. to the wall and it is located in an inconspicuous place so I don’t mind the look. The only really attributable fault is that the base had holes predrilled only in the top.

There were only these two holes and none at the bottom. So, I had to drill those holes, too. It does the job, after my modifications, but surprised me with what I got.

First off it works wonderfully for my 55 inch tv looks clean. I do have four recommendations that are more design choices. 1 Elongating the vesa bars depending on config there is spacing where you see bottom of mount.

2 Adding in a wire route at top I cut one in to hide the cable better. 3 making the silicone piece designed to be removed a different colour it was a little inconspicuous and almost forgotten about. 4 This can be a manu issue, mine seemed to break after first use.

It turned out that a cable was pulled just enough out it didn’t want to work as if it was over stretched upon piston reposition.

A good mount and good price. Only a couple of hitches. The sction on the up and down piston isn’t quite as smooth as more expensive brands and the speaker bar is limited on mounting positions making it diffucult to keep the speaker bar close to the TV.

We were disappointed by the mount, because the website claims it fits 42-80″ TV’s. Our customer has a 55″, and the mount shows when pushed back to the wall. It’s way too big for a 55″ TV. I can only imagine how ridiculous it looks with a smaller TV.

The people; however, at the company were more than pleasant (confused at times), but they allowed us to return the mount.

The pull down is good, the spring assist is nice, and the tilting angle is roughly 20deg in either direction. Happy with the purchase.

Don’t need to shop any further. Can’t beat the price. High Quality. Rest comfortably knowing your 70″ TV is safe with this product. i love it!

Great mount. Easy to install and all the hardware youll need is included.

Ships in two pieces that must be put together, 4 screws, very easy. Once together it is solid. I bought this one because I do not like the set screw most use to lock in the bottom the pull cords are great and click into place saving much time trying to squeeze a screwdriver behind the Television.

Plenty of hardware to fit any TV and good instructions, mount is thin so no large gap behind the TV. Just a few issues that are minor, it is not very wide so be careful if you have a specific place you want to put the TV, you may have to adjust it to one side or the other depending on your stud spacing, I mounted a 1X12X4 to the wall and then mounted the mount to that as I had a very specific place for the TV and the studs were not placed close enough to the centerline.

No level incorporated into the mount, again minor as a small level placed on top works just fine, but if you do not have one its off to the hardware store. Overall very solid piece and my 65″ television feels solid mounted to it, would purchase again.

this product is superior ! comes with a wall template and a variety of screws and spacers. TV fits snug against the wall or it also tilts down and side to side which makes it really easy to get to cables and such.

It was easy to install. I could not fit my older sound bar without adapting with an “L” shaped bracket since there was no holes in back of sound bar.

First things first. the price! Pretty much on par with Costco, Best Buy, Walmart, and other major competitors. So. a little bit less than most, and a whole lot less than the first two. I mounted a 32″ Samsung TV (smaller than 37″ rated even) onto our Cargo Trailer converted into a mini toy hauler /camp trailer.

by passing the mounting bolt through the square aluminum box frame and skin of our trailer and the home fabricated mounting plate. I kind of wen’t overkill on this because we anticipated a lot of washboarded dirt roads, and the occasional potholes, or big hits.

After mounting the TV, it was massive solid!!! I then velcro’d it into position to the beadboard siding for travel so it would limit the movementof the tv during travel. It started out very tight, and I thought this mount was a beast, and was overkill.

but. after I got my Samsung TV mounted, (due to the extra weight) it was surprisingly smooth. It did become a little bit wobbly and loose after a single trip down a bumpy washboarded dirt road. This was the joints in the mount.

the mounting point was SUPER STRONG, and the bolts didn’t budge or loosen. Overall. it was a little bit wobbly in the end, but these things are not intended to hold a TV over the mountains and through the hills, so I am impressed, AND do not have any fear of the TV falling off the wall during a trip.

I just wished the mount itself was tighter at the swivel points, or there was a screw, or nut that could be tightened to make it feel tight like it did when it was new. Overall I give it a solid 4 Stars and maybe even a 5.

I have installed 40+ brackets over the years. The instructions were no good. I had to guess how it should go together. It usually takes me 20 min to hang a tv. This one took more than twice as long, I prefer wall span to be 24” because most homes have studs 24” on center.

This bracket designed for 16” centers. The bolt kit lacks a lot of hardware that other kits contain. The connection of tv bracket to wall bracket is almost too difficult for one person to maneuver. Other brackets adjustment mechanisms are usually tight in box which provides stability during install.

The adjustments for this bracket were loose, so when I first got weight of tv on bracket, it would have fallen had I not been holding it. I had to sit tv down and tighten adjustments and try again. I ended up hanging two of these.

The price point is only good thing.

Used it for a 65” for several years just upgraded to a newer tv I had everything I needed because the makers of this device made it for many tvs. You could spend 300+ dollars on a TV wall mount and you won’t have a better wall mount I guarantee it.

After your installation keep all of your extra parts some people have complained that this is over engineer and there’s way too many parts duh…. It’s made for many different televisions if you buy a larger TV later you still have everything you need by this you won’t regret it!!!!!! Go ahead see if you can find another full motion TV wall mount with same build quality and as many parts as this if you do buy it.

I have yet to see in several years any other manufacturer to offer the same full motion same quality same amount of parts at the same or lower price as this nobody beats it like I said if you find a similar product with full motion same build quality and parts buy it.

Most products you buy have hardware for only one option, however this one has several options of mounting with all the hardware to go with each option. If I ever change the size of my tv down the road I will have the hardware to change to and not have to worry about buying a whole new mount! This mount swivels & tilts.

This wallmount is very simple to put up. It only took me 10 minutes to install it. It came with all the necessary hardware, and the instructions were very easy to read and understand. It’s very sturdy and I just love how easy it is to adjust it to where you want it! You can fully extend it out which is about a foot from the wall or you can adjust it to where it’s closer to the wall.

It adjust side to side and tilts up and down as well.

I received this yesterday and my husband installed it last night after coming home from work. Very impressed! The instructions were easy to follow and the parts were labeled for easy assembly. Once we mounted the TV, We got everything tightened up and it works perfectly.

Been buying Monoprice mounts for like 10 years now and have never been disappointed, but I was with this one. Overall it’s a good mount. I can’t fault the design, it articulates well, looks good, the instructions got key points across, and I managed to get it mounted and installed in a reasonable amount of time.

However there’s no way something like this should ever be missing parts, yet mine was – my sealed packaging was missing spacers and key bolts. Fortunately I had a lot of leftover parts from previous mounts so I was able to side-step this obstacle pretty quickly, but if I was someone else without a big spare parts box, I would have been hopping mad.

Also the drill holes on the lowest part of the TV bracket didn’t line up with the bolt holes, which forced me to use a different drill hole. I was able to do this without issue just by moving the bracket up a hole, but if placement/alignment wouldn’t have allowed for that, again I would have been hopping mad.

Great piece really fits well but unfortunately I had one part that broke after install. Emailed support to get an additional/replacement piece and they are requesting I remove the mount re pack it and ship the entire item back including all additional pieces and the manual.

Now. the package is large and honestly the TV is already mounted above fireplace. I’m told monoprice does not have specific pieces available to replace and the whole thing will need to be. I’d rate this a 5 star piece if it wasn’t for this.

I’d recommend it to anyone if they asked but I’d be wary of this fact there are no individual replacement pieces available.

To start, I have had no functionality issues whatsoever with this mount. So far, it’s operating smoothly and properly. I will update further as time passes. I rated 4 stars for two reasons. 1). The install is not 100 percent user friendly.

You need to be handy to get this done yourself. Recommend having someone else with you. 2). This mount did not include a kit for curved TVs. Luckily, my previous wall mount did have a curved kit and I used those parts, otherwise, I would have returned this mount.
